Red was training waiting for the ship to arrive in Vermillion, Spearow, and Drowzee! For once he had trouble thinking of names "I'll think of one for you guys later…"
Boarding the ship, Spearow met a little girl named Elyssa, he seemed to make her happy, so Red left them to have their fun while he battled various trainers on the ship. He met a few people not here for battles, but hoping to meet someone. Battling a gentleman on board, Jas glew then grew, evolving into a powerful Pidgeotto!
One is looking for Team Rocket, one is hoping Professor Oak accepts his invite this year. When Red came back to see Spearow, as the girl had bonded with it, he was offered a trade, a common practice between trainers, if a Pokémon seems like it's happy with someone else, they switch. She gave from her end Dux, a Farfetch'd. They're rare Pokémon who love training and adventure, she was sure the bird would be happier with Red.
Red suddenly ran into Blue in the hallway "Bonjour! Red? You got invited? Gramps gave me his ticket! No one on this ship was a good fight! How about a match!?" he pulled out his Pidgeotto's Pokéball!
"Sure! GO ABBY!" He sends out his Charmeleon "Flamethrower!"
"Sand-Attack!" Blue called out! It barely did the thing before his bird became roasted, he groans and returns Pidgeotto "Return! Go Wartortle!" He reveals his Squirtle has now evolved "Bubble!"
Red quickly switched Pokémon, Drowzee taking the blow instead "Confusion!" The psychic energy caused Wartortle to become dizzy!
"Bubble!" Blue called out, but the bubbles didn't go far before repeatedly popping in Wartortle's face!
"Headbutt!" Drowzee slammed its face into Wartortle! Knocking it out!
"Ya like Psychics?" Blue sent out Kadabra "I have one too!"
"Confusion!" Said both boys, but Kabra is stronger and Drowzee took a hit earlier! Drowzee is down!
"Abby! You got this!" He tosses her out "Slash!" Pushing through the spoon it channels power through, breaking it!
"Confusion!" Blue commended, the attack hit but without the spoon, the power was greatly lessened
"Flamethrower!" Red called out, Abby quickly defeating Kababra
Blue returns Kadabra, "Alright… let's go!" He smirks, tossing out one last Pokémon "Raticate!" Raticate tries to make a scary face
"Slash!" Red calls out
"Hyper Fang!" Said Blue! The clampdown of fangs caused Abby to flinch and stop its claw
"Flamethrower!" Red commanded! Abby took a deep breath!
"Quick Attack!" Blue calls out! Raticate rammed into Abby's stomach at full speed before getting hit by the fire breath!
Both look ready to fall at any minute, Red looks at how hurt Abby is and returns her "You did good, now rest… Jay! Let's do this!" Red sends out Rattata "Bubble Beam, let's go!"
Blue laughs "You still haven't evolved your Rattata!?" Before he's shocked by the force of the Bubble Beam! His Raticate weakened! It went down! "I guess Raticate isn't that big of an upgrade…" he returns Raticate "Good fight I guess, smell ya later…" Blue walks away.
Red's Pokémon were exhausted, he looked for Bill's reserved room, and he and his Pokémon took a rest for the night. Though the cruise was certainly fun, Red truly couldn't wait to get back to land, and continue his Pokémon adventure…
