Blue comes up "How's your Pokédex coming, pal? I just caught a Cubone! I can't find the grown-" he sees Red in front of Flareon's grave… "Oh, you came to do that, not to-"
"Blue. How disrespectful are you? This is a graveyard!" Red finally begins to lose patience with his friend "What's next!? Were you playing to challenge me to a battle here!?"
Blue nervously puts away a Pokéball "N-no…"
Blue followed Red as they climbed the tower, and they battled Ghosts, for once, Red didn't have to rely on trickery, his Rattata could use Dig to defeat them! Glowing and growing, it evolved into Raticate! "Congrats, Big Dig!" He said, finally thinking of a nickname!
Red reached the massive monster, yellow eyes surrounded Red, bathing him in eerie light again! The ghost's illusion was powerful, but by putting on the goggles, he saw Marrowak! Knowing it was a Ground-type, Red reveals an Oddish he caught earlier, presumably we haven't seen all his training! "Mega Drain!" He ordered!
The spirit threw waves upon waves of spectral bones! Oddish couldn't dodge well but prolonged defeat with Mega Drain's healing effect! The Marrowak let out a cry equally sad and angry!
Blue watched the fight and considered what to do… as he saw Oddish finally faint, he knew what to do! He released Cubone! "I know who this is… and I think I made it worse…"
Marrowak looked down at her little girl… then at Red and Blue… she thought humans only exploited Pokémon, but these boys hadn't stolen anything, only fought to protect themselves, and returned her baby when they realized what they did…
Marrowak passes her club and skull helmet to her daughter, both crying as she rises to heaven, her unfinished business abandoned… Cubone drying her tears before she silently dons them…
On the way down, Red and Blue are approached by Fuji, "The spirits have calmed, you did exactly as I hoped… I will do each of you a favor! Anything in my power, no questions asked!"
"You wanna evolve my Kadabra?" Blue mentions, doing a few trades, he has a big Alakazam!
"Can you get that Snorlax back to its natural habitat?" Red requested
Fuji awakens Snorlax with the Pokéflute, using his Rhyhorn to return it to the mountains! The roads open up again! Red smiled, looking at the good he'd done for Kanto…
He noticed a white hand on his shoulder, putting the Silph Scope back on, the hand became a paw, and the Gastly became Flareon! He held out the ghostly fox's old Pokéball, and it went inside… a familiar click sound confirmed the catch! He finally named his friend here, Rick!
