Chapter 30—To the Rescue
Olivia looked helplessly back at Huck as she was guiding Fitz back into the house. Huck understood the look. Liv needed help and she didn't know how to ask. She also didn't know what she needed help with, this was all so confusing to her. She nodded her head towards Toby. "You can't leave him there." She mouthed it to Huck so Fitz couldn't hear. Huck nodded back in agreement.
Sophie saw Fitz's knuckles bleeding. She jumped up from tending to Monica. "Are you alright? What happened out there?" Sophie was looking over Fitz's shoulder, but Liv closed the door quickly.
"Sophie, I am going with Fitz to wash his hands. Bryce will be in shortly to explain, I think, I don't even know if he can explain." Olivia and Fitz walked upstairs to the master bedroom.
As soon as Liv let his hand go, Fitz went to the corner and just slumped down. He held his face in his hands. His head was pounding, and he just couldn't think anymore. He wanted this all to stop, but he had to be the one to finish it. The more time it took the more Two Shot was a goner. Fitz grunted in anger, took a few deep breaths, and rubbed his hands through his hair, staining it some blood.
"Fitz," Liv shouted. "Stop, you are getting blood all over yourself." She held his hands in place. "What has gotten into to you?" She pulled his hand from his head and began wiping the blood off the knuckles. Fitz just shook his head in frustration.
"You remember the night I hit Devin; you remember that Livvie? I told you how dark I was, the anger inside, it never goes away. You can't be a part of this Livvie, I won't let you. It's too much of a danger to you."
She stopped tending to his hand, froze altogether and just looked at him. "OK, Fitz, you're not letting me do anything. I am a part of this because you are a part of me. Yes, I remember that night, that anger in you, I have seen it then and I saw it at the gala. It's your right to have it, the anger, two years of your life was taken from you and tonight we are few pieces from completing the puzzle. Don't you dare try to shut me out now."
"Liv," and he began to sob. She was kneeling in front of him, and he just pulled her down to him, resting her head on his shoulder and he squeezed her tight, his head buried deep in the crook of her neck. She heard him breathe in, there was something going on.
"Who is he Fitz? That guy out there, who is he and why are you like this? I know you too well. He brought up something, what was it?"
He pulled her back, so he was looking right in her eyes. She looked back at him. The eyes were hurt, not anger, not frustration, hurt. Something cut through his soul, she could tell.
He couldn't face her as he began to talk. He looked away and whispered, "she knew." He just stared blankly at the floor, shaking his head. "She knew, she had to, after all this time, it's beginning to make sense."
Olivia knew he was talking about Natalie, but what led him to realize she knew? Should she tell him now that she isn't married and has no kid. How much more can he take tonight? Her giving, loving man, having to take on all this pain.
"How do you…what makes you say that Fitz?"
"That guy out there is Toby Taylor. We went to the Naval Academy together. He was your typical asshole. He brought me and Two Shot together, but he also played a part in me getting involved with Natalie. I am realizing now that was all a setup, Natalie was anyway, not Two Shot." Fitz told her about his encounter with Toby at the graduation. "He had to have been involved, and Natalie must have been playing along."
"Fitz, there is something more you need to know about Natalie. She was never married, never had any children. I don't know about the Toby incident, but I do know something isn't adding up, and yes, you are right, I believe she was in on something."
Fitz's eyebrows were crossed in confusion, and if Liv could pull the knife, she just put out of his back she would. The pain was written all over his face. Natalie was a woman he thought of that kept him alive in Iraq. It was his thoughts of her and a life with her that motivated him to live. If Olivia had any liking to the woman, which she didn't, it should at least be that. He was alive because of her, but now finding out she was in on his captivity had to cut him.
"Why would she lie? What the hell is…." He stopped. "Her father, Commander Logan, it had to be her father. I am beginning to get this all now. God, what a fool I was." Fitz put his face back in his hands.
"Fitz, you have nothing to be ashamed of. Your life was altered, no one else's and now it's time they pay for what they did. That's all we can do moving forward." She had her hand on the back of his neck as he looked at her.
"Liv, what if I….Liv, I don't know what I might do to Logan."
"You do what you have to do, Fitz. You do what you need to do for your revenge and for Two Shot."
Fitz nodded in her grip, and she pulled him to her for a kiss. "Just know, I will love you through it Fitz."
Toby was laying on the floor in the living room. No one really wanted to help him, but Huck needed him to come to soon before Logan called back and got suspicious. He opened his toolbox and took out some smelling salt. He rubbed it under the air of Toby's nose and the man nearly jumped to his feet.
"Easy, there." His hands were bound with wire in front of him, so he couldn't throw a sucker punch. Huck looked over his shoulder. "Something I can help you with Bryce?"
"Just looking at what other fun things you have in that box." Bryce was looking into the toolbox like a kid looking into his candy bag on Halloween.
"Better you don't know, now help me move him into one of the rooms."
Toby sat up on the bed. He had a towel on his cheek, which was now swollen, but the bleeding had stopped. Huck handed him the phone. "Call Logan back, you went to take a bathroom break, and that's why you missed his call." Huck held a scalpel like instrument to his earlobe.
"If you give any code, any indication that we are on to him, your right earlobe comes off first, do you understand?" Huck gave a tiny pull and he slit his earlobe slightly, and the man whimpered in pain. "If you think that little slice was painful, think of holding the chunk in your hand. Now, do I make myself clear."
"Yeah, Jesus, yeah." He took the phone and dialed Logan.
"What the fuck Taylor? Why didn't you pick up the phone, what the fuck is going on?"
"Geez, boss, I need to take a leak. You have me sitting in a car in the dead woods, it's cold and…."
"Fine, I get it, what's going on in Fitz's house? Any movement, any newcomers?"
Huck shook his head no.
"No" Toby responded, "just the two of them and the little girlfriend. Can't I come back now, it's really cold here and I can't run the car."
"Stop being such a little shit. I'll call you back in a half hour, or if something happens you call me." He hung up the phone.
The door to the bedroom opened. Bryce stuck his head in. "Got it."
Toby looked at Huck, and fear overcame the man. "Got what, what did you do? Ah shit." Toby stopped realizing the call was traced and Logan's whereabouts were uncovered. "He's a dangerous man, you don't want to mess with him."
Huck squinted at Toby. "No, Toby, see that's where you're wrong, I am a dangerous man." With one movement of his hand, Huck handed Toby his earlobe and before he felt the pain, he saw the skin in his hand. That's when he shrieked in a blood curling scream and passed out on the bed, as Huck applied pressure and a bandage.
While Liv was with Fitz, Huck thought it best to let the others in on what was going on. Once Sophie and Abby knew the truth, what was really happening not one of them hesitated to want to help Fitz. They set up in the kitchen waiting for Liv and Fitz.
Bryce had the address down. There were three abandoned houses on that block, but he was certain a man of Logan's intent probably had all three occupied with something or someone. They were all hoping the obvious though, that Two Shot was in one and that he was still alive.
"Abby, I don't think Fitz is going to want Liv in on this, but she's not one to stand down. You're going to have to be with her on this. You think you can handle this?"
"Not a doubt, Huck. I know that road like my own house. Lara and I used to ride out bikes there. We used to play in the houses there, so I know the inside of them also. Anything I can do to help, I will."
"It's getting harder and harder for me think, Liv. My head is pounding. If Logan is the mastermind behind this, my father couldn't be, he hates Logan, always has."
"Then why do you think your father was involved at all?"
Fitz shrugged. "Just the way he treated me before heading over and even after, he did something, I just can't pinpoint what. Liv, I just can't. He rested his head on her lap, wrapping his arms around her waist. He couldn't keep his eyes open anymore and he fell asleep, as Liv caressed his hair to calm him down.
Liv couldn't imagine how helpless Fitz was feeling, but he had a room full of people willing to help him and that's just what they were going to do. She had hoped Bryce and Huck had some new details, but she wasn't going to move. Fitz needed his rest, he was exhausted with stress and worry, she wasn't waking him up.
Liv must have been equally exhausted because she woke up to daylight, but she was on the bed. She turned, but Fitz was no where in the room. He must have moved her after he woke up and she was sleeping.
"Shit". She jumped out of the bed, hoping he didn't go to do something drastic without her. She ran down the stairs and she surveyed the room. If she thought she was confused before, now she was just downright at a loss.
Sparks had arrived, was sitting on the couch next to Huck. Monica was gone, as was Sophie. Abby was in the kitchen making coffee, and Fitz was sitting face to face with a man Liv recognized as his father.
"Fitz?" All heads turned to Liv.
Bryce appeared from the hall, holding a towel full of blood. "Bryce, is Monica ok?"
"That's Toby's blood." Fitz said. "Huck took care of him good."
"Did you..?"
"No, Liv, I didn't kill him, I could've but I didn't. He's more valuable to us alive, for now anyway." Huck looked over at Big Gerry. "Am I right, Senator Grant?"
"If Logan thinks you're on to him in anyway, he will kill Two Shot. Right now, I am sure Two Shot is still alive. Like Toby, Two Shot is valuable to him. We'll get him." Big Gerry looked back at Fitz.
Liv figured she would give Fitz what he needed, time with his father. She walked over to Sparks, gave him a kiss hello and headed for some coffee in the kitchen.
"When did he show up and where is your mom and Monica?"
"Bryce thought it best to move Monica over to your place, mom went with her to take care of her, she should be waking up soon. When she does, we're going to see if she remembers anything about Two Shot. Then, it's go time."
Huck was standing next to them. "Liv, you know he doesn't want you involved."
"I don't care, Huck, I am involved, so don't even try to talk me out of it." Liv nodded over to Fitz. "What's going on over there?"
"Fitz wants answers from his father, but his father isn't the easiest person to deal with, so they're talking it out right now."
Huck pulled an instrument from his pocket. It was in a small holder, it looked sharp, and he handed it to Liv.
"If you're going to be stubborn, at least take this."
"Huck, I am not using weapons on anyone."
"Liv, just take it. Put it in your front pocket and be prepared. He isn't going to have you coming with us, so you and Abby are going to get there on your own. Abby knows the way, she knows the houses, you'll be fine with her, but you need to have this just in case." Huck looked at her with pleading eyes.
"Fine." Liv took the blade from Huck. "You military guys and your violence, hurting others doesn't always get you what you need."
"Sure it does." Huck walked away.
"Liv" Fitz called. "Come with us." He walked with his father to his office.
Once the door closed, Liv looked side eyed at Big Gerry. She remembered the words she heard him tell Fitz, remembered what Fitz had told her he said, she got the chills just being in his presence.
"Aww come on now, don't look at me like that, whatever he told you was exaggerated. You are as gorgeous in real life as you are in the pictures."
Liv took a deep breath and out of respect for Fitz, she kept her mouth shut and sat down on the recliner. "Pleasure to meet you too, Senator Grant."
"Call me Big Gerry. It's fine. It certainly is a pleasure to meet the young lady who lassoed my boy's heart."
"Dad, enough, just tell me what you know."
Fitz handed his father the original flight plan. Gerry didn't even have to look at it. It brought back the memory of years ago when Logan told him the plan was altered. For once in his life he was at a loss for words.
"This is what Sam left with Bryce. I am figuring this is the reason Logan took him. This is dangerous for Logan if it gets in the wrong hands, and now they are in mine, so you need to start talking before I figure this out on my own."
Gerry tossed the flight plan to the floor. He walked over to Fitz's desk, and pounded it, a hard pound with his fist as he took a deep breath in through his teeth. "All my life Fitz, I never worried about you. You were the type of kid, teenager, and adult who would make it happen without my help. No matter what I did, you would do the opposite. Your kind, loving heart was going to be your fall one day, and with that Logan girl, it was. The only thing, I ruined my relationship with you so anything I tried to say about her, you would just think was going against you."
Fitz looked over at Liv. Her arms crossed against her body, looking down at the floor. She looked up at Gerry. "You can't blame him for loving her, that's not what got him captured."
"Isn't it though? No offense sweetheart, you don't know all the details, and I admire your love and protection for him, but the game Logan is playing is big league, and he dragged his daughter into it. All the while I had to sit back and watch my son play the fool."
"Again, he isn't a fool. He couldn't have known and if you knew something ahead of time, then shame on you for letting it all go down." Olivia wanted to scream but thought best to keep her calm.
"Stop, just stop." Fitz yelled from across the room. "Just tell me what the hell went on Dad. Isn't me losing two years of my life enough for you? My scars, my torture, my dignity, when does it end Dad?"
"Have a seat, son. This isn't going to be easy. Seeing the flight plan though, it's a no wonder Logan has Two Shot. He needs this, this is his life and death, this is his freedom to his prison. You're right it's in the wrong hands now and he knows he's toast. He is doing to Two Shot exactly what he did to you against me years ago."
Gerry began with the meeting when they threw the folder revealing Fitz was the target. He didn't know quite how he was going to use Fitz, but Gerry had no idea Logan would use his own daughter in the game. It was his way of keeping Fitz occupied while things were going wrong.
"It was little things, son, things that you wouldn't realize and question. With you being so involved with Natalie, you put the Navy second, and Logan took that for granted. He knew the kind of guy you were. You would never hurt or neglect Natalie, and he preyed on that."
Gerry went on to tell him about the spending bill they wanted passed. "It could only be passed if I brought it to the Senate floor, which I wouldn't do. Even after I saw you captured, I couldn't do it. It would mean losses of civilians in the Middle East, losses of American troops, and waste less spending all to get Turner elected again."
Fitz reached over and grabbed Liv's hand. She took it, rubbing his palm. Nothing his father said would change anything between them, and they both knew this it would only make it stronger.
"Why, then Dad, why were you so hostile when I returned? What was your problem?"
"I wasn't innocent in all of this. We had word that there was an operative there, and he was told to watch out for you. That wasn't enough though. For him not to blow his cover, you were still getting tortured. So, Jon and I enlisted help with one of our former friends. He was high ranking in the Army, and he provided two Rangers that could do the ground work and get to you. It was going to take time though."
"Six months after you were captured, they started on their search for you. We couldn't find any intelligence that knew about your plane going down. Logan did one hell of a job covering it up. We couldn't find any location."
"On the Senate floor, the Republicans were getting pissed that I wasn't doing what I was being asked to day. Every day it was getting harder to stall, the pictures kept coming in of your torture, the soldiers we enlisted weren't even close to finding a location, and I didn't know how much longer I could do it."
"So you put off putting a bill or bills to the Senate floor while you knew your son was being starved and beaten in a cell in the desert. Parent of the year." Liv shook her head.
"What was I supposed to do? If Fitz died, it would be on my conscious, I knew that, but they needed him for blackmail and the more I defied Logan…."
"The more they tortured me. Dad, the hits came and stopped for some time. What did you do during that time? The time they didn't torture me?"
"I gave them other things on the Senate floor. I blocked the bills coming from the Democrats, then I got word about the Rangers finding you, trying to get to the location. I just needed another month to stall, but I couldn't. My reelection was coming up. I couldn't take it anymore."
"So you resigned? Because of me, you resigned?"
"Part of it was because of you. I was afraid because I thought they would definitely kill you, if I lost my power, I would lose you also."
At that moment, Huck came into the room. Big Gerry looked over at him. Then he looked at Fitz. "Dad, this is Huck, I knew him as Mike. He was the operative over in Iraq, he saved my life. He was the one who…"
Gerry pointed at him. "You let him go early, against orders. You're the one that broke the mission."
"Yes, I did." Huck looked over at Fitz and Liv.
"You were supposed to be killed. They were chatting. They were given orders to kill you, and that's when I killed them myself. They had just killed the two Army soldiers that stumbled upon the camp and I couldn't take it anymore. All the torture I witnessed you go through and the killing of the soldiers, my own brothers from the Army, that's when I cracked Fitz."
"So I wasn't let go on orders, you left me there, got word to command where I was and that's how I was rescued?"
Huck shook his head and Liv covered her face. This was all so much. "You saved him Huck. You really saved him."
"Wait." Fitz looked at his father. "Those two soldiers, they were there…."
Big Gerry looked as solemn as Fitz had ever seen him look. "They're dead because of me. That's why I had to hide it. I put two soldiers in harm's way to save you. It cost them their lives. I had no choice but to resign. It was just another thing Logan would hold over my head."
"Two soldiers dead because of me, Huck's life changed because of me, and now Two Shot possibly dead. For what, FOR WHAT?" Fitz put his face in his hands, as Liv tried to comfort him.
"I should've died over there, I should've just died, then they wouldn't have had to kill those soldiers, Huck could've led a normal life, and Two Shot.."
Big Gerry was finished talking for the moment. Liv had her forehead to Fitz's. "Stop that talk Fitz. Here is where we are now. What do you want to do?"
"Son, you have to think about this. What do you want to come out of this?" He reached in his jacket pocket and handed something to Huck.
"This proves Logan ordered the bomb attack in Las Vegas. This alone could send him to prison. We can disclose this, and forget anything ever happened to you. Fitz, if we don't you'll have to tell your story, your dad can go down for this too. Everyone involved will face military court, including me for blowing my cover and ending my mission early."
"I want Logan to pay. I want him face to face with me and I want to be the one to repay him." He looked at his father. "I need time to think, really think about all of this. You're not getting a thank you from me, there's so much unanswered." He looked at Liv after getting a text. "Monica is awake."
She told them about the attack with the baseball bat. Sophie had her arm around her as she struggled to speak, giving her a sip of water to help her along.
"As soon as he stepped on the porch, I heard a thud. I looked out the window and saw him get beat right on the back with the bat. They dragged his body away, he looked limp, like he was dead. Is he? Is he dead?" She began to sob. "Please don't let him be dead."
"Monica, they think Sam is in possession of some very important classified documents, but he left them with Bryce. He was smart to do that, but we think they are pressuring him to talk to find out where the documents are. We needed to know the extent of his injuries before we proceeded. We will get to him." Fitz sat next to her and hugged her. "You are very brave. You ae a very strong woman, and I am sure Sam will be happy to know you are safe."
Monica rested her head against Fitz's chest. "He loves you a lot Fitz. You are everything to him. I don't know the whole story, what you did to help him in life, but he would lay down his life for you."
"I know, Monica, and I would do the same." Fitz got up turned to the others.
"Let's go."
Two Shot heard the door get kicked open. He lay still but the flashlight shined bright into his eyes and he blinked.
"Sammy, my boy. It's a shame, I always liked you. I even spared you from going over there with Fitz, but no, you had to go play the hero." Logan was looking down at him.
"Where are the documents Sam, what did you do with them." Kelly asked nervously.
"Keep asking, because I am not talking. You've done enough damage to me. Go to hell Logan, you, your daughter and your little puppet, the three of you go to hell."
Pentagon guy went to punch him, to knock him out, but Logan stopped him. "No, let him feel the pain, feel the numbness, let him be awake to hear what we have planned for his buddy Fitz."
Logan dialed a number. On route to exactly where Logan was calling from, Fitz heard his phone buzz in his pocket. He picked up immediately. "Who is this?"
"Sad I never got to have you as a son in law, wouldn't that have been some dinner conversations had it worked out."
"Where's Sam? I don't care about anything else, where is he?"
"Want to say hi to your buddy?" He put the phone near Two Shot's ear. "Fitz, I am fine, I am fine, don't give in to him."
Logan pulled the phone away. "Happy hunting." He hung up before the call could be traced, not realizing he was a targeted man already.
The three of them walked to the kitchen area. Natalie had ventured out to get take out and was setting up the food on a small table.
"Why do you need to do anything to Fitz? Hasn't he suffered enough? When is this going to end?" She was frustrated that she was dragged into this and this far.
"Oh are we coming soft at heart for your ex boyfriend. Forget it Natalie, he's in love, he's over you so focus on the task at hand."
"Which is what exactly? How the hell are you going to squirm your way out of this one? There is no way out, this is now insanity."
"I plan to finish the job that wasn't, all along it was to kill Fitz. That's my goal, I want the man dead, it's that simple."
Natalie shook her head. "Why? What more can you take from him?"
"His life, the mission wasn't finished, and it should have been, I need to finish the mission."
He turned to see Kelly and Eric staring at him in disbelief. "Who said anything about murder? Look this vendetta you have with the Grants, I don't get it, but I am out." Eric turned to walk away.
"Like hell you are. A soldier completes his mission, that's what this is about, now either you come back here or", and he fired a shot into the wall just past Eric's head.
Everyone ducked, "Jesus dad, you've lost your mind."
"Don't you get it. We all go down if Fitz lives. We all spend our lives in prison. We cannot just walk away Eric, that's not how this works, because you rot in prison with the rest of us if we get caught."
They sat down around the table, with no idea what was happening outside.
Fitz, Huck, Sparks, and Bryce had Big Gerry park two blocks away as they walked towards the houses. All three houses had lights on, meaning someone had fixed the fuse boxes. They still weren't sure which house Logan was working out of, but they needed to get to Two Shot. That was their primary goal.
Liv ran towards the door five seconds after the guys had left. Abby grabbed her arm. "You sure you want to do this?"
"Abby, I need to be there. I can't let him destroy his life. He's been through too much already."
Abby drove, knowing her way around the area and parked a block away from the houses. "Come with me, I know a shortcut to the backyards of the houses."
Liv went to exit, but Abby touched her shoulder. "Liv, what if it gets violent? What if.."
"That's why I want to be here Abby, I don't plan on hurting anyone, and I don't want Fitz to either. Huck is a trained assassin, if he does something, it won't be messy. Just, let's go."
"Do you have the weapon Huck gave you?"
Liv turned and looked at her. "Seriously, Abby?"
Abby shrugged. "Well, just in case. Do you?"
Liv felt her pocket, knowing it was there, but wanted to make sure. "Yes, I have it, but I am not using it."
Bryce had crawled under the windows of the first house. There were no lights shining through the window he was under. Bryce stood up and shone the flashlight in. "Here", he said for them to hear. Fitz texted his father to bring the car around, so it was ready for Two Shot.
They saw Two Shot lying on the mattress in the room. He looked lifeless, but when he saw the light his head turned towards the window. He lifted his arm and made a gun symbol to alert them one or more of them had a gun.
The window opened, and Huck jumped in. He stood next to the door, signaling for Two Shot to stay quiet. Bryce broke the window, making a loud glass shatter. He just sat under the window outside to wait for what was to come.
All of them sitting at the table turned towards the room Two Shot was in. Eric ran towards the room first, thinking Two Shot somehow got up and broke the window.
Scared, Natalie bolted towards the back door and ran outside into the dark backyard. She knew the house next door was empty, so that's where she headed, not realizing what hit her when her head banged on the grassy, snowy ground when Abby had tripped her.
Liv picked her up, gripping her under her shoulder. "Don't think you're going anywhere." Liv's light flashed in her face, and she didn't know it at first, that she was staring right an Natalie Logan.
While Liv and Abby pulled her to the next house, Eric opened the door to the bed room, only to be knocked out by Huck waiting his entrance into the room. Huck looked at the guy, didn't recognize him.
He then heard a gunshot come from the kitchen area. He ran towards the kitchen as Bryce had entered through the window to tend to Two Shot, Sparks standing right outside the window.
Fitz was gone, having made his way to the kitchen area. When Huck got to the kitchen, Logan had his gun pointed at Fitz, who was cornered up against the wall with his hands up. Lying dead, in a pool of blood was Kelly. Having seen Fitz alive, knowing this would come full circle, Kelly couldn't take the guilt anymore.
He pulled out the sidearm he had and without a moment of hesitation, he put the gun under his chin and pulled the trigger.
Now, standing in the kitchen, alone, was the very man who masterminded Fitz's capture. Huck ran through the door and stood there, toolbox in hand. Someone had to make a move, but who would it be.
The women heard the gunshot from the other house. They were standing in an empty, well lighted living room. Natalie just stared at Olivia, knowing damn well who she was. Abby had her hands gripped behind her back and Natalie was struggling to get out of the hold.
"Olivia Pope, so nice to meet you. Just remember who he loved first. So much in love that he let himself get captured and tortured. That must really anger you when you sleep with him."
Abby couldn't believe the nerve of this woman and she peeked over Natalie's shoulder to see Liv's reaction. That was a wrong move, because Natalie kicked Abby in the kneecap, and Abby lost her grip.
Once Abby hit the floor, the back of her head hit harder, and it knocked her out. Natalie turned to Olivia who went towards Abby. "Not so fast." Natalie had her foot over Abby's head. "Take another step, and I will stomp on her."
Olivia took a deep breath. "What do you want?"
"Just have Fitz hand over the classified documents to my father, and this can all be over with. Fitz knows the truth, and we can all go our separate ways."
"You took two years of his life, you pretended to love him, lied about being married and pregnant, and you think this will just go away?"
Natalie tossed her head back in laughter. "Yeah, Fitz's heart did break a little when I gave him the lies about me, but I couldn't even if I wanted to be with him. Have you seen his scars? Who could deal with that?"
Liv could feel an unwelcomed heat rush towards her face. She never felt anger like this not even after the accident. Her hands began to shake. "Don't go there Natalie. Besides how do you know about his scars?"
"My father showed me pictures, the same pictures he showed Fitz's father, they did quite the number on him, huh, yet you can stand them? Or are you just using him also?" Natalie laughed.
Liv looked at Abby, she wanted to help her, and she lunged towards her, pushing Natalie out of the way. Natalie grabbed at Liv, but could only pull the shirt, that ripped right off her. Standing in only her sports bra, like in the sixth grade locker room, Liv tried to grab the shirt back.
Natalie just stared at her in disbelief. "Ha, no wonder you two are together. Makes you wonder if your kid will come out scarred, if you have a kid with him. You're both freaks, so you belong together." She dropped Liv's shirt and rubbed her hands as if she was wiping germs away.
"You and him walking around with scarred bodies." Natalie shivered. "Now I understand why he would let me go so easily, when someone as disfigured as him was out there waiting to meet someday."
As she turned to walk away, Liv wasn't really in her body at that moment. It all felt so out of body to her and she grabbed Natalie by the shoulder.
Natalie grabbed Liv's hand and proceeded to bend her fingers back, causing a wave of pain to shoot through Liv's body and the accident all came back to her, the pain she felt when the glass broke against her body.
Without any knowledge of what she was doing, she reached in her pocked and pulled the blade from her holder. Before Natalie can cause another second of pain, Liv saw herself begin at Natalie's cheekbone and drag the blade down to her jaw.
Natalie screamed in horror and the blood gushed out, down Liv's hand and onto her wrist. In Liv's thoughts, she had just touched her father's face and as she held up her hand, blade dropping out of it, the moment she saw the blood, caused her to do exactly what she did on that day, she passed out.
All three women were lying on the empty cold floor. Abby off to the side, no blood around her, and Liv fell into the pool of Natalie's blood. One couldn't tell who was bleeding.
Hearing the scream, not caring about the gun, Fitz bolted out the door and before Logan could even blink, Huck kicked the gun from his hand and wrapped wire around both his hands behind his back.
Bryce had just secured Two Shot into Sparks's arms, when he heard Fitz scream his name from the house next door. Sparks put Two Shot safely in the car, and Big Gerry took off back towards Fitz's place.
Fitz walked into the bloody scene, and he stood there in horror. Abby was slowly coming to, moving her head back and forth. Both Natalie and Olivia lay in a pool of blood unconscious, seeing Olivia's shirt had been teared off.
Fitz ran to Olivia pulling off his shirt and picked her up. She seemed limp, and although Fitz had no idea yet, the blood she was covered in was Natalie's not her own, all he could do was bring her to the corner with him, wrap his shirt around her body, and rock her in his arms until he could get someone to help him.
