Chapter 21

-Thursday-

Having donned a 'human-looking' disguise similar to the one he wore during the Golden Dolphin heist, Snake accompanied Lilith to her ultrasound appointment, where they were currently in the examination room as the doctor pulled up an image of their baby on the adjacent screen:

"That...That's our baby," Snake asked in awe as he looked at the tiny figure on screen, while Lilith tearfully smiled and gave a nod:

"Mhmm." She then emitted a giggle when he suddenly began peppering her with kisses, not caring if he was crying or if the doctor was watching. Of course, she didn't mind as she was used to these sorts of reactions. If anything, it brightened her day as much as it did theirs.

*ahem* "So, the heartbeat is strong and everything appears to be developing properly. If you look here, you can see the arms and fingers starting to develop," she gestured to two tiny limbs, which brought adoring smiles to the expecting parents. "Now, because your child is a hybrid of human and serpent, the gestational period is going to be shorter than it would if they were human."

"..Wait, how did you know my partner isn't human," Lilith curiously asked, to which she gave a knowing smile and gestured towards Snake:

"I knew what he really was when you both stepped inside the room."

"Huh, impressive. Most humans can't see through my disguises," he replied with an impressed smirk, while tenderly holding Lilith's hand.

"Well, you both needn't worry about any judgment from me. It's not uncommon to see interspecies couples nowadays."

Breathing a sigh of relief, Lilith lovingly rubbed her thumb over Snake's tail before asking, "So, how long would you estimate my pregnancy to be?"

"Hmm, well, looking at the baby's current developmental stage, I'd say you'll be full term by December."

Hearing this, Lilith smiled at Snake, who returned the loving gesture and squeezed her hand, "I don't think I could ask for a better Christmas present."

"Same here," he agreed.

Once back from the doctor's appointment and inside her apartment, Lilith and Snake began preparing themselves for tonight's Good Samaritan Award Ceremony as it had been moved to tonight as opposed to its original date back in May. Reason why is because an electrical fire had damaged part of the building and repairs had been delayed due to management and insurance issues. Fortunately, everything had been resolved and repaired, and guests from around the country were expected to attend. Among those invited were the (former) Bad Guys. Of course, they were tasked with keeping an eye out for potential thieves looking to steal the Golden Dolphin.

Said task had been assigned to them by none other than Gov. Diane Foxington and Chief Misty Luggins. Yes, even she approved of the decision, despite her (rather biased) history with the former criminals. Of course, what better way to catch a criminal than to appoint those who know the trade to keep an eye out for suspicious activity.

As much as they wanted to bask in each other's comforting warmth and stare at the ultrasound pictures until dinnertime, both Snake and Lilith needed to get themselves ready for tonight. Of course, that was easier said than done. Stripping out of her leggings and sweater, Lilith suddenly felt a familiar set of coils wrap around her legs, waist and chest as her serpentine lover/baby-daddy began placing soft, sensual kisses along her exposed back, shoulders and neck.

"Mmm, Hubert..We need to get changed. The guys are going to be here at 4:00 to pick us up."

"I know...Just let me enjoy you like this for a little longer," he huskily replied against her neck, while his tail skillfully unclasped her bra. "I want to savor your touch and bask in your radiance."

How could she say no to such gentle flattery? With a warm smile, Lilith slipped off her bra and panties before unbuttoning his outfit, to which he continued to lavish her skin with his tongue as they slowly backed towards the bed.

Laying her down upon the soft comforter and mattress, Snake lovingly caressed her face with his tail, "You're so beautiful."

Blushing at his sincere words, Lilith traced her fingers along his smooth, scaly face, "And you are absolutely perfect in every possible way."

He lightly chuckled at that before leaning down where they then shared a deep, passionate kiss, while his tail slipped down her face, neck and chest before settling over her lower abdomen, to which he lovingly began rubbing circles over their unborn child.

Smiling down at his sweet peach, Snake flicked his tongue against her cheek, causing her to emit a giggle. "H-Hubert, that tickles,"

"I know," he winked before carefully retracting his hemipenis from her body. Glancing down at her lower abdomen, a swell of pride settled within his chest at seeing a slight bump, knowing he was the cause of it.

Sitting herself up, Lilith peeked over at her phone and gasped upon seeing the time, "Oh shit! We really need to get ourselves ready to go!"

"I agree," he nodded before sheathing his twin appendages and following her into the bathroom, where they then took a quick shower just to wash off any excess fluids from their bodies. Afterwards, they dried off and began preparing themselves for tonight's gala.

While Snake donned his formal suit, Lilith brushed/styled her hair, adorned her undergarments, brushed her teeth, and switched out her silver ball labret studs for a pair of gold diamond ones as they were her nicest set. Afterwards, she applied her makeup before stepping back out into the studio and sifting through her nicer clothes, hoping she had something fancy to wear to the gala. Thankfully, she did.

Slipping on a royal blue, long-sleeve cocktail dress, Lilith blushed as Snake zipped up the back before cradling her (now noticeable) bump, to which she placed her hands over the small protrusion. "While this is going to totally ruin the moment and sound absolutely weird, I honestly think most of this is your cum, because I wasn't showing this much when I looked in the mirror this morning," she gestured towards said bump with a smirk, causing him to chuckle:

"Heh, what can I say: You're irresssistibly breedable," he replied with a sultry *hiss*, causing her to emit a wanton moan before he then tenderly kissed her cheek, "Regardless if it is or not, you look beautiful."

"And you, my sexy serpent..You look deliciously handsome," she replied with a wink as she then turned around and adjusted his bowtie.

"Hmm, it's almost a shame we're needed at the gala."

"Yes, but remember, you and the guys will be there to ensure no one attempts to steal the Golden Dolphin. I'm just going as your plus one."

Cupping her cheek with his tail, Snake lovingly pressed his forehead against hers, "You are so much more than my plus one. I love you, Lilith."

"And I love you, Hubert."
