Chapter 39

"Usually at this time, I am down in Tampa talking to agents and owners about future prospects to begin the baseball season. It used to be my whole life, now I seem to have only two things that matter right now." Monica joined Olivia on the porch of the old Jennings place Liv's Rutland home. She sat next to Liv on the rocking chairs her and Fitz had bought for them.

Olivia smiled at Monica then looked down at the glass of wine she was drinking. "I understand that life, Monica. It was right on this porch when I first met Fitz and my whirlwind of a life came spiraling down. I mean that in a good way. Now he's all I think about, our lives and how we can finally move on." She took a sip of wine. "How are feeling?" She nodded towards Monica's belly, which wasn't showing the tiniest of clues she was pregnant yet.

"I am doing good. 12 week check up is coming up soon. Sam's determined to be walking by the time the baby arrives, but I told him, the baby will take a year to walk, it's ok if it's not right away. He's making progress and each day is better than the last, but I don't want him rushing it and it becomes a setback."

"That's understandable. His determination has been noble, and the fighter in him just never quits, he's truly an inspiration. Have you thought about what Fitz proposed to you two?"

"We have, that's so generous and building a life here, getting started on our family with the people we love around us it's hard to say no. Sam's going to sit with Fitz when he gets back, and we'll go through all the plans." Monica smiled back at Liv, "Rutland has been so good to us."

Liv shook her head in agreement. "It's been life changing to say the least. I said we met on this porch back in November. I had just packed up my 30-hour workday from NY, a three-year CEO position and Daisy was scratching at my door about ten minutes after I arrived." Liv looked over at Daisy who was sleeping soundly on the porch at Monica's feet.

"Then Fitz walked up that driveway, looking for her because she had just run off." Liv took a deep breath. "My heart stopped the moment I saw him, and fear just overtook my body. I know that sounds weird, why fear, but I had never had a feeling like that in my life. It's just when I saw him, I knew we belonged together and as much as I fought it, it was useless." She took another sip of wine. "Now look at us."

"Do you miss him?" Monica was overcome with emotion hearing Olivia talk about meeting Fitz. "I know he's just getting into the baseball ownership picture, but he also just got started on his life with you."

"Yeah, it's been three days, but I'll see him in a few more. I mean, who is counting?" Liv raised her hand in the air. "Me, that's who. Yeah, I miss him but he's doing great down there in Tampa learning the ropes of spring training. What about you, has it been difficult with the recovery for Sammy?"

"It's definitely put life into perspective for me. Seeing him get up and do the things he does despite his disability, it's so motivating. I have learned so much from him and we cannot wait to share our love with the little one on the way. You know Liv, Tampa, the whole spring training thing, don't get too upset."

"What do you mean? He's just team meetings and all that."

Monica gave a small chuckle. "Women down there can be beasts. Many managers, owners, even players send their women family members to look for a potential boyfriend. It's how he got the name Two Shot", Monica pointed to the door. "They can be predators, and I don't want you surprised if you see some swarming around Fitz, especially now that he is an American hero." Monica shrugged. "The man truly loves you, but these women can be relentless at times."

That got Liv thinking. She didn't think for a second Fitz would ever stray, but this was all new to him. "I'm sure he's fine," she said with confidence, but was a bit nervous inside. "Sparks will help him along."

"You have nothing to worry about Liv, honestly, I just want you familiar with the atmosphere when you get there."

"I appreciate it. Maybe I will go a day early and surprise him, scare him a bit." Liv laughed, but now she was thinking about doing it. "I'll take the girls shopping tomorrow and leave Friday instead of Saturday."

"Now that's innovative, pretend to be one of those women and sneak up behind him." Monica laughed.

"Oh, you bad, girl."

"Nah, I just know the felines they can be. They don't see a wedding ring and they zone in. Hell, they see a wedding ring sometimes and they still zone in, the desperate ones anyway. It's a haven for catch me a sugar daddy. Knowing Fitz, he's probably uncomfortable in that atmosphere."

Liv went from nervous to jealous to all protective in a heartbeat. Now, she wanted to protect him from the women scavengers out there. No one looks at her man and wants him, only her anyway.

Liv smiled. "I guess I have some planning to do then. I'll leave you to Daisy. I am sure she will be just fine. If you leave the door open, she may have instinct to run over to Fitz's, just be aware of that after I leave."

Monica reached down and gave Daisy a pat. "We're looking forward to having her. She is such a good dog."

"She sure is." Olivia gave her a pet on her head and Daisy looked up at her. "She came to my rescue more than once. She'll be great for the two of you."

The door swung open, and Sam wheeled himself onto the porch. "You two can stop talking about me now, no need to feed my ego anymore."

Liv sighed a laugh, "you would think it's all about you. Honey, you are not our topic, in fact we are talking about a loyal, trustworthy, and wonderful companion, that doesn't meet your standards now does it?"

"Oh, you have jokes Ms. Pope, do you? Well, when you get down to Tampa you make sure to watch the Lake Monsters bring the Yankees to their knees, you hear."

"Please, it's spring training. You think this counts for anything? I can put Chloe in as a pinch hitter. No one cares about these games, spring training is for the hot shots like you and Monica to showcase the talents brought on board, but the Lake Monsters have no talent, so."

"You keep talking trash like that, Fitz won't let you sit in the luxury boxes with us at the ballpark, how will you feel while we're living it up and you are in the upper deck shooing the birds away." Sammy clapped his hands laughing at his own joke.

"Don't worry, I plan to give Fitz the real deal anyway. We're going to Yankee Stadium for their Opening Day weekend. Three nights, three games, against the Red Sox, so he'll get the true rivalry experience. No luxury for him, he's sitting his butt in the Bleachers, with the real fans."

"Wow", Monica chimed in, "the bleachers in the Bronx are no joke, he better behave himself."

Liv stood up. She went to walk in to put the wine glass away, but Monica took it from her. "Thank you." She turned to Sammy. "You just keep doing you, you hear, I am so proud of you." She gave him a kiss and a hug.

"I plan to Liv; I have the love of people like you and Fitz and our Rutland family. You have fun down there and in NY. We'll have our gender reveal when you come back." Sammy was smiling ear to ear.

Liv gave Monica a hug. "If you need anything, call. I'll be back and forth to Huck's place and Sophie's for a few days, I'm leaving with Chloe on Saturday." She gave Monica a wink, Sam didn't see. "Thanks so much for watching Daisy."

Daisy stood up with Olivia. "No, girl, you stay. Stay by Sammy, ok." She gave Daisy a big hug. "Go on." Daisy sat next to the wheelchair and watched Olivia headed in the direction of her soon to be home with Fitz.

While walking she remembered the first night walking to his place. She was so nervous, so uncertain. She watched him carefully and couldn't find a bad thought about him. Now, she was missing him more than she admitted to Monica. He had been gone three nights and although she's been away from him longer, this time seemed harder.

It didn't help that she knew he was surrounded by beautiful young women in Tampa. Most of America knew his story now of being a POW, even thought the interview hadn't aired yet. He would never, and she was sure of it, be with another woman. If anything, the thought of it just made her miss him more and she wanted to be in his arms, like now.

Olivia brought herself back down from thought. She should use the time alone to reflect on everything. So many things happened so quickly in a few months, she should be embracing the time alone, not worry about it.

She was looking forward to the quiet of the house and face timing him in a few hours. Until then, she would work on packing, she had a long trip ahead of her and she couldn't be left without the proper clothing.

Just as Liv was settling down for the night, her iPad began to buzz. Anticipating her call from Fitz, she clicked on the screen. Before even looking at it she said, "Hi my love."

"Well, that's a welcome greeting. Hi to you also my sweet daughter." Maya was waving back.

"Mom, it's 3 a.m. in France, why are you calling me?" Liv smiled despite her worry.

"Calm down, I am fine, just couldn't sleep and decided to give you a call, didn't know that was against the law. So, did you and Fitz work on the baby situation before he left? I am expecting a call in a few weeks, maybe twins?"

Liv rolled her eyes. They were talking more about it, but it scared her, as did everything and Maya picked up on her daughter's thoughts. What else was new?

Liv took a breath to begin her defense, and Maya stopped her.

"I'm just going to leave this out there, you're not getting any younger."

"Thanks mom, so why can't you sleep?"

"Because I want my only daughter to make me a grandma. I am suffering from insomnia because I want to hold my squishy grandbaby in my arms." Maya wasn't doing a good job in making Liv feel any better.

"Have you thought about coming here for August? We would love to have you." Liv and Fitz had asked Maya before he left, and she said she'd think about it.

"Actually, I was thinking about moving back there for good." Maya waited for the silence to break.

"Mom." Liv said softly, with tears in her eyes. "You love Paris."

"And I love my daughter more. I've been here for six years, I am growing bored, lonely, and I want to be close to you. I don't know if I'd be in Vermont, but there are places closer to you than Paris."

"When were you thinking?" Liv suddenly became overwhelmed with happiness. There's nothing more she's wanted for so long than to have her mother close to her again.

"My lease is up in June. Would that be a problem?" Maya knew her decision to move to Paris hurt Olivia at first, but Maya had to do what was best for her, and she respected Olivia not trying to stop her.

"That would be perfect. I'll talk to Fitz when I see him in a few days. This is great mom, really it is."

"Well, someone has to be around to remind you how a baby is made. Stop being scared Olivia, motherhood would suit you just fine. You would be an outstanding mother. It's what you set out to do when you moved there." Maya knew her daughter.

"I know, but a mom." She took a deep breath. "Look, I will call you while I am in Tampa."

"Best deflector I know. Tops in the business. Love you baby girl."

"Love you too."

There was no Daisy, no Fitz, and no girls. The house was eerily quiet. Liv was laying in the big king size bed all alone. She turned to the side. When Harold would talk to her about his kids, Liv longed to have that also. She wanted nothing more than to live the simple life.

Now, it was her chance to do so, and she had no explanation why it scared her so much. Her love for Fitz was sealed. She would never love anyone like she loves him. They have been through hell and back, although he never told her, he wants to be a dad, but is it too soon to start trying?

Liv shrugged. She took a deep breath and turned on ESPN. She glanced at the time. It was almost midnight and still no call from Fitz. She wasn't worried, he's just busy small talking the other owners. She picked up her cell. She sent a quick text to Letecia.

Let me know a good time to call you tomorrow, I have a favor to ask. Thanks.

It was late and Liv didn't expect a text back. She wanted to ask Letecia if she arrived their early Friday with Chloe, could she take Chloe for the night as she used the time to surprise Fitz.

With no text coming through, Liv dropped her phone onto the bed. She couldn't remember the last time she had absolutely nothing to do. She glanced over at the desk. Maybe she could finish up Huck's paperwork. She was meeting with him tomorrow before her shopping spree. She sighed. She began to talk out loud. "Just use the time to think about…."

She stopped and looked at the TV, making it louder with the remote. Jessica Jenkins, her nemesis googly eyed for Fitz reporter, was live from spring training in Tampa. The screen was split, and she was talking to the reporter in studio.

"Before you sign off for the night, we understand you had a chance to talk to Fitzgerald Grant, owner of the Lake Monsters, but also newly admitted POW. How did that go?"

Liv took note of the huge smile that appeared on Jessica's little face. "Yes, he's as amazing as ever, gentlemen as always, but he made it clear he's down here for one reason, and that's to get his team ready for the upcoming season."

The reporter nodded. "We've heard of some conflict in the organization with Trent McDaniels, the former shortstop who lost his job to the young Jordan Lewis. Any word on that front?"

Liv remembered Trent from the New Year's Eve gala. Oh boy, she thought, women, Jessica, and Trent. Liv wanted to start jogging to Tampa now.

"Nothing yet, however Trent is working out with the team, he's on the field as the owner's watch. It will be interesting to see if they honor his wishes to be traded. Grant is all new to this and so much of this will set the reputation he gets as an active owner in the league. No doubt he'll come shining through."

Liv would swear she was smiling from her eyes now. She reached over to the glass of wine she had on the nightstand and finished it in one gulp. "He'll come shining through," she repeated the words in a squeaky voice.

"Thank you, Jessica, let's go to a small clip you have of your brief conversation with Mr. Grant." Jessica nodded as the TV went to the clip.

Liv sat up; eyes glued to the television. He was wearing a Lake Monsters dark blue t-shirt and lime green logo across his gorgeous chest. Wow, he looked so good. "Stay away from my guy, blondie." Liv whispered to the TV.

Fitz nodded a courteous nod when he saw Jessica and walked to the microphone. She put her arm around his back, something that didn't go unnoticed to Liv. There was a time Fitz would flinch, but he didn't move.

"Get on with the talking Fitz," Liv said through grinding teeth. She heard nothing Jessica said, only Fitz's words. Jessica looked like a kitten staring at a bowl of milk. Liv made a note to write to the top personnel at ESPN and note how unprofessional she was being.

"Jordan Lewis is still our starting shortstop, nothing has changed. We'll see how things go with Trent. He's meant a lot over the years to this organization, and we will not forget that."

Jessica was about to ask another question, but Fitz just gave a nod. "If you'll excuse me Ms. Jenkins." Fitz walked away.

The rest of the sounds coming from the television was just background noise.

Finally giving up in hearing from Fitz tonight, Liv turned over and felt herself drifting to sleep. She missed him so much, but he wasn't getting a phone call from her. It's his move, not hers. That's petty Liv, she thought to herself. And herself agreed.

It was Fitz's busiest night since he had arrived in Tampa. The first two nights were meetings with other owners, Sparks by his side, helping him along the way with the strategies and talking points. He was grateful for Sparks being there.

Aside from baseball talk there was the occasional stop to talk about the POW time in Fitz's life. Fitz was humbled but kept most of the details to himself. He was brief in talking about it and then the focus would turn right back to baseball.

He spent some time during the day, at the ballpark with DJ and Owen having a blast with some of the payers and playing on the field. Fitz was getting all choked up watching it. He couldn't wait to share this with his children, his and Liv's children. He was missing her. The facetime wasn't cutting it for him.

This night was incredibly long. He had bumped into Jessica on the way into the dinner at the owner's lounge. He couldn't wait to get away from her, hustling away as soon as she paused in between her questions.

Once inside he spotted Sparks sitting with two other gentlemen. He also noticed the swarm of ladies coming and going from the table. He took a deep breath, remembering his time in Atlanta in December. "Get used to it Fitz, with money comes the women and now they now you have money, the women will be on you." He remembered Two Shot's words.

He walked over and joined the men. Aside from Sparks, there was Jamal Marks, junior owner of the Rockies and Landon Alberts, manager of the Tampa Rays. Fitz shook their hands, gesturing there was no need for them to stand up.

"As a former Marine, Mr. Grant, I want to thank you for your service to this country. What you did, what you have been through, you have my utmost respect." Landon gave him a pat on the shoulder and Fitz thanked him.

Before Fitz even ordered his beer a woman, a brunette waved her five fingers at him. Fitz nodded and continued on the conversation with his guests showing the woman he had no interest in her. God, was he missing his Livvie.

Sparks leaned over, "remember, women, money, flirting."

Fitz remembered. Conversations shifted through the night from baseball to ownership to basketball to invites to the respective ballparks. Landon and Jamal left, leaving Fitz and Sparks to themselves and they were just enjoying the atmosphere.

"Are we really keeping Trent on the team? After that whole New Year's Eve thing, Fitz, you may want to rethink it. Rumors are starting to spread and it's only a matter of time before what happened gets out."

Fitz took a sip of beer. He shrugged his shoulders. "Let it get out, the more publicity the team gets, the better. It doesn't matter positive or negative, the team being in the news gets people to tune in."

Sparks shook his head. "You are too much." He saw a blonde heading over and he raised his hand, shaking his head no. The blonde pouted and walked away.

"You miss her?" Sparks looked at Fitz's broken face.

"I miss her when she is sleeping next to me. It's crazy how in love I am with her." Fitz looked at his watch. It was only 10, he would face time her shortly.

"When's the proposal? Kids?" Sparks sipped his beer and toasted it to Fitz before putting it down.

"I'm planning something. As for kids, we will see. There's nothing I want more than to be as lucky as you are. Your boys are great. I love watching them interact with the players."

"Yeah, Letecia does amazing with them. It's a blessing for sure but it is also so stressful and difficult. I still wouldn't trade it for anything."

Two chairs across from them scratched across the wooden floor. Sparks immediately stood up in defense, but Fitz pulled him back down. He watched as the two men across from them sat down with their beers.

"I don't remember inviting you to sit at our table." Fitz looked directly as Trent still took his seat.

"Don't really care who you invited, I am here now. This" he nodded to his companion is Allen Blake. "He's my agent. We're here to talk about a trade."

Fitz laughed. "You're not being traded. You know the details of your contract as well as I do. So", Fitz looked at Allen. "Nice to meet you, but goodbye."

Trent stood up pushing the chair out from under him and it fell over, causing others to look over at the table. Fitz still didn't move from his seat, just staring up at the guy. "You're making a fool of yourself, you really are Trent. Who would trade for you anyway making a scene like this?"

Sparks had again stood up, this time not sitting back down. Allen had stood up also, but to pick the chair up for Trent. The last think his agent needed was everyone seeing a drunk client trying to sit back down and not realize the chair wasn't there.

"Take your client and walk away. We'll see you at 8 am on the ballfield tomorrow. Don't be late." Sparks handed his beer back to Trent who grabbed it and walked away.

All eyes still on their table as Fitz just gave a smile and small wave to those watching. Most of the dirty looks were going towards Trent anyway. No one would like was he was doing to Fitz, not in the baseball world anyway.

Sparks and Fitz decided to walk back to the hotel, enough to enjoy the fresh Tampa air. As they passed a few homes, Fitz turned to Sparks. "Ever think about purchasing a house down here? Beats the penthouse in a hotel, don't you think?"

Sparks shrugged. "Never thought of it, did you have anything in mind?"

"I don't know, spring training happens every year, wouldn't hurt to think of it. We could use it as a vacation home in the winter months, or even let some of the low key players stay there with their families." Fitz was contemplating it.

"You're always thinking of the small guy aren't you. I'll talk to Letecia, it isn't a bad idea." Sparks watched as it happened so quickly and Fitz went down having been sucker punched by Trent jumping out from behind a bush on a secluded street.

Sparks picked Trent up by the collar. His teeth grinded. "What the fuck is wrong with you boy? Are you out of your mind?"

Fitz stood up, laughing, but rubbing blood from his bottom lip. He walked over to Trent. Sparks now had his arm across Trent's chest. Sparks being too strong for Trent and he was pinned on a tree. Fitz got right up in his face.

"The more you try to beat me, the more I win, you don't get it do you?"

Trent looked him right in the eyes. Fitz seemed to be forgetting one thing, Trent knew Fitz's weakness. He knew how to break him, and he would do so right now.

"When is that pretty lady of yours coming down? When you're busy being the hotshot owner, women feeling you all up, I'll be sure to pay her a visit. I could tell she wanted me that night at the bar, I am sure she still dreams of me."

The heat rose in Fitz's in face faster than a wildfire and Sparks couldn't stop it if he tried. Fitz was too fast. The punch landed right in the middle of Trent's nose, and the blood splattered down his shirt. Sparks let up on his hold, and Trent fell to the ground.

Fitz was going to stop there, but he closed his eyes. He saw Liv, broken after what she suffered under the likes of DJ and his foot went back to kick Trent in the ribs. He felt Spark's hands on his shoulders holding him back.

"Woah, Fitz, let's think about this. He's not worth it."

"You're not getting traded, you shit, you're being released. Let's see who picks up your washed up ass. At least with a trade, even without playing for me, you would have received a paycheck, now you'll be broke in two years. You're welcome."

Red and blue police lights came up the road. Sparks and Fitz looked up to see a small crowd had gathered. All three were taken away into the police car, uncuffed, and would be questioned in the Tampa police station.

Liv woke up at 630 am. There were no missed calls from Fitz, but there was a text message from Letecia. Hey Liv, call anytime, I'm up and about with the boys.

Sitting now in Huck's MMA office, Liv couldn't believe the profits she was adding up for her friend. "You have done amazingly well for your first month, my God Huck, this is great."

Huck smiled. "What do you suggest I do Liv?"

"I think you should have a summer academy. All age groups, but hire teenagers from the program. Many of them will be looking for summer jobs and it's a competition around here. The mom and pop stores can only hire a handful of teens. This would be great for them."

"Ok, let's do it. I'm coming back April 15th, we'll have announcements sent home to the students. How about we do some concessions too, you know for the kids who don't take classes, but could use a job."

Liv snapped her fingers and pointed at Huck. "You could have a PR department, sell merchandise, you could do food concessions, and you can even" she paused, "give adult classes in the park complimentary once a week. We can call it self-defense under the stars."

"Yes." He high fived Liv. "I'll give all this to Abby, she'll put it all together while I'm gone and you're gone." He hugged Liv. "Thank you so much."

"Me?" she hugged back. "This is all you, I don't even now how to MMA or whatever. You just taught me how to punch."

"You brought me to Rutland. You brought me back to life. You brought Fitz back into my life. Just take a compliment."

"Fine, I have a shopping date with 3 clothes wanting girls. I'll see you when you get back. Love you Huck."

Huck smiled as he watched Liv leave the gym.

"But I picked that one first, it's no fair, I wanted the boo one, and Awissa is buying it." Chloe stood in the middle of the store, arms folded in anger.

"There's no crime in wearing the same colored shirt, we're sisters, here I'll pick a blue one too, Chloe, we should be doing things together not arguing about it." Brianna picked up the same blue shirt and Olivia watched her put it in the cart.

"That's a gweat idea Bwianna, I'm gwad I thought about it." Chloe went off for her next find.

"Thank you, girls, for being patient with your sister. I think she is nervous and excited. She's never been away from your parents and she's excited about spending time away with just me and Fitz."

Alyssa turned to Liv. "We can't wait for New York. We're so excited. Our grandparents even gave us our own money to spend. Did you really get us tickets to see the Lion King?"

"I sure did, but remember, no spoilers for Chloe, we want her surprised. We have some surprises for you two as well, you don't know everything." Liv put her arm Brianna as they called Chloe to head for the checkout.

While eating at Sophie's Liv stepped outside to call Letecia. "Hey girl I've been waiting for your call. He's fine, still sleeping it off, but he's fine, so don't even ask for the favor."

Liv crossed her eyebrows in confusion. "What are you talking about? I was calling to see if I got there early tomorrow if you would keep Chloe for the night with the boys while I spent some time with Fitz, he has no idea I want to head down tomorrow."

"Oh, yeah, that's fine, no problem. Well, gotta go…"

"Hold on, what the hell were you talking about? Sleeping what off?"

Liv heard Letecia take a deep breath, "Damn" she heard her whisper.

"I'm still here."

"Fitz didn't call you?"

"No, I haven't heard from him since Tuesday, what's going on?"

"You better not let on that you know. He got into a scuffle with Trent, they spent the night at the police station. Tampa police are trying to keep everything under wraps, on the down low."

Liv rubbed her face. She wasn't sure if she was angry or relieved knowing the real reason he didn't call. "How bad?"

"Fitz has a busted lip, bruised jaw, Trent is worse. Clean break of his nose and eyes blackening quickly."

Liv somehow thought this was about her, and for some reason, she didn't think she was wrong. "Ok, I'll get the story from him, you've told me enough. So, can you watch Chloe for the night tomorrow and keep my arrival quiet?"

"Sure thing Liv, this is going to be fun. That man of yours, he sure has a temper when it comes to you."

"I know, and thanks, I'll text you on the way from the airport and thanks so much."

Chloe was sound asleep after an hour of non-stop talking to Liv about the trip in the morning. Liv never thought she would fall asleep, but finally she knocked herself out mid sentence about helping the lifeguard at the hotel pool.

Liv heard her phone buzz, and she took it in the den. "Mister, you're alive?"

"I'm sorry Livvie, I really am. It's been a rough few hours. Ok, it was a rough night?"

"Oh really, too many ladies."

"What, wait, huh, no, why do you think, God no Livvie, not at all."

God, she loved hearing him fumble. It was mean of her, but it was comical.

"Well, I'm waiting, what else would have you forget about me?"

"I never forgot about you, you're all I think about. I can't wait until Saturday."

"Don't change the subject. Why no face time call today and why no nothing at all yesterday?"

"I got into a fight with Trent McDaniels, I broke his nose after he bruised my jaw. I love you so much Livvie, I'll talk to you tomorrow."

"Don't you dare hang up. Was this after your interview with the little kitty eyed Jessica? Wait of course it was, you looked so good for that." Liv chuckled.

"Livvie, stop."

"We'll talk more when I get there. You better not smell of woman when I get there. Trust me other women know when their man smells like another woman. Love you."

"Never, Livvie, never ever. I love you too, and I'm sorry I lost my temper again."

Fitz looked at the phone as it darkened. He wanted to scoop her up into his arms right now. He wouldn't be able to plant a powerful kiss because the sucker punch, but he may have to live through the pain. He missed her so much.

Liv had to give the driver from the airport a hefty tip after dealing with all the questions from Chloe. He was wonderful, answering them all. He had no problem at all understanding her either. You would think they had known each other for years.

"Owen, DJ I have missed you so so much. Come, hug." Chloe held her arms out and the boys cringed, but gave her a small hug. They ran off to play leaving Olivia to sit with Letecia.

"The talk is all about Fitz and the Lake Monsters are beaming with the publicity. Everyone wants to know what happened to Fitz and is wondering where the hell Trent is. First one to crack this case will have an ESPY for best investigator."

Liv shook her head.

"He misses you. You better go, don't make that man wait another second." Letecia handed her the name of the place he was at. He was having a meeting with HR for the Lake Monsters.

Liv sat with a Yankees hat on watching Fitz's table. His back was to her, but she could catch his silhouette, and she sat with a glass of red wine just watching him speak.

She couldn't hear a word he was saying, but his audience was on every word. The young lady with the clipboard looked to be the head of the group. They all nodded as Fitz began shaking their hands and they were leaving the table.

Liv saw a beer get served to him as he looked at his cell phone. She also saw a tall brunette pat his shoulder. Fitz shook his head with a no gesture and went back to his phone. Monica wasn't lying though, Liv noticed three others staring him down.

She dialed his phone, just to see. He was already looking down at it and she saw his face turn into a big smile.

"Hi" he answered.

"Hi" she said watching him bring the phone to his ear.

"Livvie, what I wouldn't do see you right now. I miss your touch."

"Oh yeah, where are you? Are you at the field?"

"Nah, Sparks is there, I just finished a meeting with HR regarding Trent. I'm going to head back to the hotel, get a little rest before the game tonight."

He hadn't known that she already hung up. Her hand rubbed his curls as she approached him from behind, knowing she was being watched by at least three other women. They were smirking waiting to see how he turned her down.

Fitz, with the phone to his ear, waiting for response, stopped the hand from rubbing his curls. He shook his head no again, and Liv pulled the phone from his hand.

"Oh, I think it's a yes." Olivia said seductively as Fitz looked up at her and pulled her in towards his lap as he hugged her and buried his face in her neck.

"Livvie" He pulled back and looked at her as she sat on his lap and smirked at the ladies watching who quickly turned away.

"Your jaw? Your lip? How will we ever?" Fitz put his finger on her lip, stopping her speech.

He dropped a fifty on the table and stood up with her. "Let's get back to the hotel. I will show you how while you're naked in bed with me."

Liv was smiling so much her lips were beginning to hurt. Fitz had interlocked his hand with hers and was pulling her out towards the door, not watching her wave to all the broken-hearted ladies. She was about to rock her man's world and she couldn't wait.

Suddenly he had no pain from the bruised jaw as his mouth was fully covering her breast. There was no time for talking once the hotel door closed, and he devoured her lips, just to be sure. He took her shirt off, backing her up to the bed, and fully engulfed her breast in his mouth.

When he finally popped it out, he took his shirt off, kissing her neck as she undid his pants, and they dropped as he stepped out of them.

"Livvie" he whispered. He kissed down her chest to her stomach as he dropped her shorts. He stood up, tossed her Yankees hat across the room, and fell to the bed with her.

She could tell he was being careful with his bruised jaw, and she pulled him to the crook of her neck, feeling him rub his erection around her wetness, and boy was she wet. She licked his neck, rubbed his back, and arched her back as he entered her and gave her a powerful thrust.

Liv's eyes closed as he pushed further into her. He lifted his head to see her eyes closed and she was licking her lips. He continued his love making, and she felt his warm mouth on her breast again.

She rolled over, getting on top and continued to feel him deep in her. "I missed you so much." She whispered in his ear and a deep, long grunt came from the back of his throat.

He rolled them around one more time. He went to her ear. "You will never smell another woman on me, baby, never." He gave a powerful thrust, and Liv cried out as her orgasm hit her. Fitz continued to kiss down her neck, then back up to her ear. "I belong to you."

She was still holding on to his back, her legs wrapped helplessly around him, as she felt him empty inside her. He stayed on her, breathing heavy, until he rolled up and gobbled her in his arms.

"Now, we can begin talking." Fitz said smiling, still breathing heavy.
