"Yesssss!" Tsuki sank her body into the hot spring water. "This is delightful! Grandfather, thank for this wonderful trip!"

They were at a spa that was a few miles away from Osaka. Grandfather Saito decided to take her after they recovered from the zombie apocalypse.

Tsuki was alone in her thoughts at the woman's spa room. When she moved freely, the priestess made sure that the spring water didn't make contact with her stitches. Though not critical, the wound needed time to heal.

After she fainted, her grandfather eventually came to the school and helped bring her and Botan back to the shrine. With him and Keiko's nurturing, they were able to recover within two days of deep slumber.

Grandfather Saito explained everything when she woke up. Yusuke and the team barely defeated the Saint Beasts. The battle with Suzaku almost killed the spirit detective. He was still recovering in Kuwabara's house.

"Granddaughter, I know you're upset. You did the best that you could. Each spiritual battle we endure gives us a lot of lessons to learn. You're in a new chapter. Be open to your journey."

Yes, she understood that greatly. Now she was worried about her education. She didn't want her grades to slip up. Luckily the school was out for a week. Tsuki was thrilled when the teachers gave an extension on their finals. Keiko decided to study with her when she made it back to Osaka.

In all honesty, Tsuki thought her childhood friend was going to distance herself. However, it was quite the opposite. Keiko was amazed by Tsuki's powers.

"That's so cool, Tsuki!" Keiko beamed. "No wonder you always secluded yourself. You can see everything!"

"You're not mad at me?" Tsuki was still in bed.

"Of course not! You'll always be my friend, Tsuki. You're a good person, and I can see you're trying your best to live the life that you want. You have a wonderful gift. Whatever you decide to do in this world, I'll always support you."

"Thanks, Keiko." Tears fell on Tsuki's face. A lot of weight was finally off her shoulders. She didn't have to hide part of herself anymore.

"Mom, please give me the strength." Tsuki prayed and glanced at the dark sky. She wished she could see the invisible new moon. It was a new season of beginnings. Tsuki was anxious to see what the gods had in store for her.

Tsuki didn't regret her new path as a shrine maiden. Though if she wasn't careful, the young priestess could seriously be injured. Or eventually, die like her mother.

I can't believe I woke up late! Tsuki anxiously thought as she sprinted towards Sarayashiki high.

She should have listened to her wise grandfather. He advised her to take one more day off. A perfectionist that she is, Tsuki wanted to start her week off right.

The priestess stopped in her tracks. She had this peculiar feeling as soon as she stepped down her shrine stairs. Someone or something was observing her closely. Whoever it was, they weren't human. Yet, the energy felt familiar.

Tsuki didn't have to search for too long. A little figure swiftly stood in front of her. She stepped back and narrowed her eyes at his amused face. That someone was Hiei.

The fire demon smirked. "Surprise to see me, priestess?"

"Very," Tsuki bluntly admitted. Yes, he, Kurama, and Kuwabara greatly assisted Yusuke with the Saint Beasts. That didn't mean she wanted him near her. After all, he tried to destroy their lives a few months ago.

"Priestess, you have to forgive. You're supposed to be a spiritual leader with holy morals," he smartly retorted.

Shoot, she forgot about his Jagan! "Well, I'm not your average priestess. And will you please get out of my head, demon." She crossed her arms. "Now, what do you want? I have to go to school."

"Here." Hiei extended his hand. "It's from Koenma. He ordered me to give it to you."

Koenma? She reached for the VHS, never breaking eye contact with him. "How come Botan didn't give this to me?"

Hiei turned away. "He wants you and Yusuke to watch it. You guys have a new case." With that, he disappeared.

Tsuki didn't have time to ponder. She was going to be late if she didn't run! She put the VHS inside her backpack and headed to school.

"Botan," Tsuki huffed and squinted her eyes. "Why would you allow Hiei to give me a tape?! I don't affiliate with crazy people!"

Yusuke pointed at her. "And, why the hell did you tell Keiko that I was in a delinquent camp?!"

The grim reaper crawled backward until she bumped onto Kuwabara's bed. She laughed nervously, frantically waving her hands. "Well...I..um..guys! Don't be this way! For one, Lord Koenma suggested doing this, not me! Hiei is still on probation. He has to abide by Spirit World's regulations. Please don't take it personally, Tsuki. And two, Keiko doesn't need to know about the Spirit World. It's bad enough she knows about your cases!"

Keiko was indeed supportive of the spirit detective's missions. Yusuke and Tsuki just had to promise to never lie about their whereabouts again.

"You made me sound lame!" Yusuke complained.

Tsuki lifted her chin. "Psh, don't take it personally," she pouted.

"Enough!" Kuwabara sat in front of the TV while Eikitchi, his lovely brown cat, snuggled into his lap. "Stop fighting! Tsuki, forget about the shrimp! Yusuke, forget about your ego! Let's just watch the tape! The lovely Botan is right. It's not fit for humans to know about the Spirit World. I don't want my sister to know about the Spirit and Demon World either."

"Thank you, Kuwabara," Botan chimed in. "At least someone got some sense."

"No problem, sweetie. Anything for you." Kuwabara winked. He glared at Yusuke. "Oh, and one more thing! Whatever this case maybe, I'm not going!"

Yusuke rolled his eyes and swatted his hand in the air. "Yeah, whatever. Just press play!"

After a corny introduction, Koenma stood alone in a royal red chair.

Kuwabara laughed and pointed. "HA HA HA HA, that's your boss?! A toddler?! HA HA HA HA!"

"That's why he's giving this a try," Botan explained. "It's too embarrassing for him."

"He sure has a lot of time on his hand," Yusuke commented.

Tsuki honestly didn't know what was the big deal. She found his baby appearance adorable.

"Welcome Yusuke and Tsuki. It's been a while. I have a new case for you guys. This mission will be a piece of cake. Hopefully, both of you guys will survive." The young lord snapped his fingers to a new clip showing a gigantic mansion castle. "Oh, and don't worry about ordinary people watching this tape. Only high spiritual people can see it. Your mission is to search and rescue a young girl."

Koenma continued, "About 200 miles from Osaka in a small town called Hondae, my spirit intelligence investigated that the mountains are filled with criminal activity. Normally, I don't squabble in Human World affairs, but these criminals are partners with some nasty demons."

The next scene displayed a book page of a woman glancing in the distance. She appeared to be standing on top of an ice mountain. "The captive's name is Yukina. She's an ice maiden from the Demon World. It's very rare for humans and demons to find them. They usually stay inside their ice habitat."

Koenma lifted his tiny hands to show a pearl. "Equally rare is the beautiful jewels she can produce. That's the main reason why this criminal captured her."

The estate was enormous. It was going to be difficult to find Yukina's exact location. All Tsuki spotted were countless trees and mountains surrounding the mansion. "They hope to profit off her greatly. The only way to make the jewels is with her tears. Yukina is forced to create them at an unnatural pace."

"That's sick." Tsuki could only imagine the hell that the girl has been going through.

"Yes, it's horrible." Botan agreed. "They're called hiruseki jewels. They sell easily in the black market for thousands of dollars."

The tape showed a helicopter landing outside of the mansion. Tons of security stood strong as a fat and stumpy man exited out. He was wearing a purple business suit, flashing his diamonds and rubies while he lit up a cigar. The following clip was his ugly mug shot. "Here's the man behind the operation. His name is Gonzo Tarukane. He's a thug that's made a name and fortune for himself by selling hiruseki jewels in the black market."

"His energy is ugly," Kuwabara spoke.

"He sold his soul to the devil," Tsuki included. The slob had no remorse. Everything was about money and power to him.

"Here's a picture of Yukina. Please, memorize her face. You must bring her back quickly and safely."

She was gorgeous. Her mint green hair contrasted well with her light blue kimono. However, Yukina's red eyes were empty as she stared outside her cell's window. She was expressionless with an unsmiling face.

"Oh, I feel awful for her. We have to leave today," Botan stated.

Tsuki nodded. Before heading out, she'll text Keiko to save her homework assignment for this week. She had to get ready for this long trip.

Kuwabara paused the video and suddenly stood up, causing Eikitchi to jump down and scurry out of his room. Everyone seemed confused by his unexpected and odd behavior.

"What's his deal?" Yusuke questioned. "We're still watching the video."

A gigantic grin spread across Kuwabara's face. His eyes lit up like he won the lottery.

"I think I'm in love," he confidently declared.

"What?!" Tsuki, Botan, and Yusuke yelled in unison.

The lover boy paced back and forth in his room. "What are we ready for?!" Let's go! I'm going to kick some criminal ass in the name of love!"

"I thought you weren't coming?" Yusuke argued. "Before we came here, you just told me you were too good with the Spirit World's affairs."

"Shut up! It's not about me! As an excellent and considerate gentleman, I can't allow you guys to go on this mission alone. My princess is suffering!"

"Oh really? What are you going to do, brother?"

They all jumped and looked at Shizuru.

Botan rubbed the back of her head. "Shizuru, um, how much did you hear and see?"

"Calm down. I just came by to offer some tea." She casually entered Kuwabara's room and glanced at the video. "Her spiritual energy is lovely, Kazuma. I can see why you like her."

"Thank you, sister. Do I have permission to skip school and rescue my sunflower?"

"Yes, Kazuma. Even if I did say no, you would've found a way to go. Just don't get into too much trouble, ok?"

"I won't!" He dropped the remote and ran out of the room. "Yippie! I'll tell mom and dad right now! Yukina, I'm coming my love!"

Shizuru gave the rest of the group a teacup and sat on her brother's bed. "Let's continue the tape. He's going to be a minute."

While Botan and Yusuke side glanced at each other, Tsuki grabbed the remote and pressed play.

"Enclosing this case is delicate," Koenma resumed. "The main reason I decided to bring you on this case Tsuki, is because you're a healer as well. Seeing you could help Yukina be comfortable around other humans."

Tsuki nodded. She was eager to do this mission. Yukina lost hope a long time ago. The poor girl have to be saved.

"And most importantly, she's Hiei's sister. With that, I leave you with the mission. Good luck!" The tape abruptly ended.

"What?!" Tsuki and Yusuke shouted.

Tsuki turned off the TV and touched her forehead. Hiei, the psycho, had a pretty sister that was a healer. How ironic was that?

"Do you guys know him?" Shizuru asked as her brown eyes observed them closely.

"Yes, he's a strange dude. But he helped me out when I needed him in an important case," Yusuke explained. "I didn't know he had a sister. He's not the talkative type." He rubbed his chin. "This is going to be an interesting mission."

"He's been searching for her for years." Botan stood up. "You see why Koenma needed to distract Hiei. He would do anything to rescue Yukina."

Tsuki shook her head. Knowing Hiei, he'll slaughter everyone in sight. The Human World wasn't the Demon World. Karma was here. No matter how evil a person can truly be, they'll reap what they sow in this lifetime or the next. "That can't happen. We have to get her before he finds out."

"Kuwabara, could you PLEASE stop singing that damn love song! It's already irritating enough that I had to sit next to your smelly ass!"

They've been in the car for three hours. Everyone except Kuwabara was a bit cranky. They never had time to take a break because the prince charming insisted that they could wait.

"You're just jealous that I, Kazuma Kuwabara, have fallen in love!" Kuwabara cupped his hands. "Yukina, I can't wait to see your lovely face. Please open your heart to me. I'll protect it forever."

Yusuke groaned and put his headphones back on.

"How long, Botan?" Despite the annoyance, Hondae was beautiful. Tsuki was enjoying the trees that were tall like skyscrapers. The high mountains scattered across the forest as large arrow tips. She wanted to stay here and camp for a week.

"Not that far. We just need to pass through this road."

"Botan!" Kuwabara leaned towards the front seat. "Thank you so much for driving. It would've taken us all day if we took the bus!"

"Not a problem. We're a team! Once we get closer, I'm going to park the car in a secluded area. We don't want them to know about our transportation." So far, the drive was smooth. The road that they were taking was small and curvy. Sometimes random buses and cars passed in the opposite direction.

"That's fine. I'll walk thousands of miles if that means being with Yukina."

"You're such a two-timer, Kuwabara," Tsuki accused. "You were just flirting with Botan a few hours ago. This is one of the reasons why I don't take guys my age seriously."

"It's different this time, Tsuki. I KNOW Yukina is the one for me."

"Oh really, how?"

"I just feel it in my spirit. Yukina is the one I've been looking for all my life. She's my soulmate. "

Tsuki smiled. "I honestly don't believe in love at first sight. We need to be friends first before anything." She learned quickly that people took advantage of a vulnerable heart.

"That's fine. Believe me, you'll know." Kuwabara sounded like a love counselor. "There'll be sequences of events that'll show you guys are destined to be together. No matter how hard you try to pull away, the universe will always push you guys back with more force than ever." He grinned. "Who knows? Maybe you met him already!"

"I highly doubt it," Tsuki muttered in disbelief. Though she admired Kuwabara's positivity. Whoever he was, she hoped her lover was ready to handle her strong personality and priestess duties.

Botan parked the car in front of a ditch. She turned off the ignition. "We're here."

"Great, I can finally piss." Yusuke got out of the car and headed to a nearby bush.

Tsuki sniffed the fresh air. The aroma of the forest was powerful. She drank her bottle of water and twisted her body from side to side. Lidth jays flew around her and chirped simultaneously.

"We finally made it!" Kuwabara proclaimed loudly. "YUKINA, I'm coming to rescue you!"

"Will you calm down idiot?" After he finished wiping his hands with sanitizer, Yusuke hit the back of Kuwabara's head. "Do you want the bad guys to hear you profess your love?"

"Oh, do you wanna go, Urameshi?! I ain't afraid of nobody! I WANT them to hear me! YUKINAAA! I'M COMING!" Kuwabara screamed.

The girls rolled their eyes and got their backpacks out of the trunk. Before leaving Osaka, they both decided to change into their hiking clothes. The guys still had on their school uniform.

"What's the plan?" Tsuki asked Botan, who pulled out a small map. Yusuke and Kuwabara hovered over them.

"Well, we're right here. Tarukane's estate is a few miles north. The spirit informants say the trail is open with not a lot of high security. That's good news. However, we don't know the exact location of the mansion. We probably have to camp for tonight."

"That's fine! The closer we get, the better!" Kuwabara eagerly marched forward. "You lead the way, Botan!"

They hiked upwards for about 20 minutes until they reached the crime lord's entrance. It was in front of a bus stop. Only a wooden gate and a large sign stood in their way.

"Private property, no trespassing. Violators will be executed," Tsuki read aloud. "Well, they didn't waste no time warning people."

"This is such a waste of big space," Yusuke remarked. There were no buildings, no roads, or any type of infrastructure. Just a dirt path leading them to the wild.

"You know, some people like the wilderness, Yusuke," Botan stated.

"Yeah, I sure do," Tsuki agreed. "I'll rather be here than in the city."

"Yeah, whatever, Tsuki. You know you see hermits, and losers that can't get girls when you're hiking." Yusuke squinted his nose. "It also smells like ass here."

"Well, let's start walking!" Kuwabara jumped over the gate while the rest followed.

The hike was tedious. Some trails and hills lead to different sections of the forest. Tsuki observed the setting sun that gave a dark orange tinge across the sky. Despite her bonding moment with nature, she knew that they needed to camp soon. "You're right, Botan. There's no way we could make it there by nightfall."

"The forest looks a lot smaller on the map." Botan continued up another steep hill, observing the demon compass. Her hiking books crumbled the crispy grass. "I think this path will take us closer to our destination."

"Let's go! Your true love is coming Yukina!" Kuwabara ran past them without looking back.

"I guess he's actually over you now," Yusuke stated.

"Darn, how would I survive?" Botan shrugged her shoulders.

"Should we tell him about the rest of the video?" Tsuki suggested. From what Yusuke told her, Kuwabara wasn't fond of Hiei.

"I hate to ruin his fun," Yusuke explained. "Let the guy be in his romantic fantasy."

Kuwabara stopped giggling and halted.

"What's wrong, Kuwabara?" Botan asked.

He stared at the bush. "I'm sensing something really bad."

"He's right." Tsuki's bracelet transformed into her divine bells. "A demon is coming towards us."

Botan's demon compass was beeping sporadically when he came forward. He was a security guard, wearing a brown suit. "You're in private property, boys and girls. Leave now."

"We're just looking for the estate," Tsuki innocently said. She couldn't see his eyes. The spiky hair demon had on black glasses.

"Yeah, please allow us to stay," Botan included.

"I'm afraid I can't allow you to pass," the demon replied.

Yusuke smirked. "That's funny. I heard there's plenty of room in that mansion. Especially since the crime lord allowed Yukina to stay there."

"Crime lord? You seemed to know a lot more than being lost. I warned you. Now, It's time to die." His body extended, ripping his suit into pieces. He was now a monster green demon with tentacles as legs. In the middle of his chest, he had a razor-sharp mouth. "I have orders to kill anyone that wants to come after Yukina."

"Aren't you guys the same kind? Yukina is used and tortured by evil humans. Doesn't that make you mad?" Kuwabara argued.

"No, not at all. Humans and demons are the same. Demons can also sell their soul to the devil."

Tsuki glared at him. "No, not everyone is the same. You chose to be evil."

"Hahahaha. Oh, don't try to act holy human. I've seen plenty of your kind whose loyalty could be bought."

Kuwabara and Yusuke stood in front of the girls.

"Oh please," Yusuke's fist began to glow.

Kuwabara channeled his spiritual energy. "You're just trash."

"What did you say, human?" His tone became murderous.

"Can't you hear?" Kuwabara narrowed his eyes. "We said you're nothing but a filthy demon."

"He must've sold his ears off too. I guess low-life demons would do anything for the money."

"Oh, you'll regret this!" The demon roared. He lunged with his huge testicles coming straight at them. "Die filthy humans!"

Kuwabara jumped and slashed the demon three times.

"What?" The demon's eyes widened as his body pulled apart.

Yusuke lifted his right hand high and pointed. "Spirit gun!" With a full blast, the demon became nothing.

"Oh wow, you guys have gotten stronger!" Tsuki was amazed by Kuwabara's spirit sword. He's definitely been practicing his technique.

"And I thought Tarukane would make it easier for us." Yusuke put his hands in his pocket.

Kuwabara guided the way. "I'm not surprised. We'll see how much we get further by nightfall."

The uneven dirt path led them to another dead end.

"I guess they hid the place very well." Botan turned on her flashlight and glanced at her compass. "Well, we should be able to follow Yukina's energy when we get further."

"Why are you still using that compass?" Kuwabara lengthened his hand out. "Just follow my red pinkie string."

Yusuke blinked. "The what?"

"The moment I saw Yukina, my love stretched out and tied us together. You see?" An imaginary red string pointed in a new direction. "Let's follow the thread to destiny tied to my love!"

"No, Kuwabara! It's this way!" Botan pointed to the right.

"Yeah, but my senses told me to go this way," Kuwabara retorted.

"Don't be ridiculous. The demon compass says this way. We don't have time for your deto-OH MY GOODNESS!" Botan flew high as the hidden trap put her upside down. She tried to move but her body was stuck by a sticky residue. "A little help, please?"

"Botan!" Tsuki yelled. She sensed another demon was near.

A hideous spider with blonde hair and red eyes dropped down on its web. "What a nice catch!"

Botan eyes widened when the enormous spider crept closer. "Oh no!"

"Hey, let her go!" Yusuke ordered.

"Go?" The spider demon showed his front teeth. "Now, why would I let her go when I'm planning to drink her delicious blood? If you want her, you have to ki-" He caught his breath as Kuwabara's spirit sword extended close to his face.

"Sorry to disrupt your plans, but nobody is stopping me from rescuing Yukina!" He slashed the web countless times. Yusuke caught Botan before she could fall to the ground.

"You can't possibly be humans." The demon jumped down and changed his legs into razor-sharp claws. "Take this!"

"Yep, we just happen to be really tough humans." Tsuki aimed at the spider's head. "Spirit arrow!"

Bullseye! The demon's forehead gushed out blood. He fell and shook rapidly before lying motionless.

"Nice shot, Tsuki!" Kuwabara complimented. "Your powers are awesome."

"Thanks, you're not too shabby either. We make a great team."

Yusuke put Botan down. "It's getting dark. Let's find a spot for us to rest."

They decided to make camp near an open grassy field. The boys got some wood while the girls grabbed some rocks.

Waiting for the fire to start, Tsuki rubbed her hands. Her green jacket wasn't giving her enough warmth.

Botan patted the ground. "Tsuki, sit next to me."

"Thanks, Botan." The priestess scooted closer as Botan wrapped a small blanket around them. She was blessed to have another female with her. Yusuke and Kuwabara decided to toughen it out.

They talk about random things while eating marshmallows. It was nice to get their minds off from the mission.

"Somebody can watch for enemies as the rest of us sleep. Who would like to go first?" Botan asked.

"I'll go." Tsuki offered. She had plenty of energy and wanted to get it over with. Botan decided to go next, then Kuwabara and Yusuke last.

It didn't take long for them to fall asleep. The owls kept Tsuki busy as they hooted all through the forest. She even heard a few deers rustling in the bushes.

Tsuki loved stargazing. Her mother taught her the constellations a long time ago. The blanket of stars stretched to infinity in the clear night sky. It was magnificent. She felt secluded from the rest of the world.

A new sound of movement caught her attention. Tsuki stood up and scanned the trees. Before she could strike with her divine bells, she realized the demon energy was Hiei. Tsuki closed her eyes and concentrated. He was watching and waiting, but she sensed that he was also anxious.

How did I know that? Tsuki opened her eyes. She only met him a few times. Could this be her new spiritual powers?

Her phone alarm vibrated. The night shift was over. She nudged Botan. "It's your turn."

Botan yawned and stretched her arms. "Ok, have a goodnight, Tsuki."

"Night." Tsuki laid down and glanced at the trees before closing her eyes. Don't worry, Hiei. We're going to rescue Yukina.

Where am I? Tsuki got up and studied the room. She was in the middle of a strange laboratory.

"Yusuke? Botan? Kuwabara?" No one answered her. In the distance, a tall figure stood over a person.

As Tsuki stepped closer, she recognized the person was a younger Hiei. His arms and legs were tied up.

"Are you sure you want to do this?" the tall figure questioned. A mask covered the demon's face. "The fusion between you and the Jagan eye will be much more painful than you could ever imagine. I had to lock you up so you couldn't rip out your eyes."

Tsuki gasped. Why would he go through all that pain for the Jagan?

"Just do it!" the prideful Hiei demanded. There was no going back in his eyes. "I won't say a word."

"Everyone screams. I even have earplugs for myself." The demon chuckled darkly. "I'm just curious about what you're going to say."

Without warning him, the gigantic drill began to lower towards Hiei's forehead with exceptional speed.

Tsuki closed her eyes. The sound of the drill and a crunchy sound of a bone pierce through her ears.

"ARRRRGAAAHAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!" Hiei screamed through his lungs.

Tsuki touched her rapid heart and stumbled to the ground.

"ARRAAARRRRRARRHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" The bones continue to crackle and crunch.

She screamed too and covered her ears. Hiei's pain was nothing that she could ever imagine.

"YUKINAAAAAAAAAAA!"

"Tsuki, wake up. Are you ok?" Yusuke shook her shoulder.

The sun cast a rosy hue within the morning sky. Tsuki covered her face from the sunlight and slowly lifted herself. "I'm fine. I just had a weird dream."

"What was it about? You were mumbling, but I couldn't hear what you were saying."

The priestess decided to keep the Hiei dream private. "My exams. I wasn't able to answer the test questions."

"Jeez, Tsuki. You need to relax more." He got up and kicked Kuwabara. "Wake up, prince charming. We need to save Yukina, remember?"

"Did you hear something?" Botan asked, dusting off her jeans.

Yusuke stretched his arms. "No."

Tsuki heard it too, but she remained silent. While sipping her water, she glanced up and spotted Hiei staring right at her.

"Ugh, getting up is a drag." Kuwabara rubbed his neck as his eyes lit up. Hiei swiftly disappeared before he could look.

They hiked a few more miles until they made it to a small river curled horizontally for miles as rocks scattered across the path.

"We're getting close. I feel a full force ahead," Kuwabara stated.

Tsuki stepped forward. "Yeah, a lot of demons are waiting for us."

"Well, here's my morning exercise." Yusuke started running. He happily jumped over the rocks. "What are we waiting for? Let's have some fun! I bet I can destroy way more demons than you, Kuwabara!"

"Oh, it's on!" Kuwabara sprinted after him.

Botan put her hands on her hips. "Guys! It's NOT a competition! Men and their competitive nature."

Tsuki agreed but smirked. It's about time she showed the boys her Saito's tribe power. She jogged right behind them.

Kuwabara was right again. There were dozens of demons waiting for them.

"Let's eat the humans!"

"They must not pass us!"

"Why are they even bothering us with these wimps?" Yusuke cracked his hands.

"They're desperate." Botan glanced at her compass. "We're very close to Yukina. The mansion shouldn't be too far ahead."

Yeah," Kuwabara tied a ribbon to his forehead. "Let's go!"

"What did you tie on your head?" Tsuki questioned her weird friend.

"The great fighting headband of love." Kuwabara ran with his spirit sword. "And all those guys there hate love. They want to keep Yukina away from me! Stand aside, evildoers!"

"You're not going to be the only hero!" Yusuke sprinted while charging his spiritual energy.

Three demons circled the girls.

"You're mine!" One of them yelled.

"Spirit beam!" After the beams hit their mark, Tsuki grabbed the grim reaper's hand. "Let's go, Botan!"

The priestess continued to strike with ease as they followed the boys' path. She felt invisible. The low-class demons were no match for them.

Kuwabara ambushed and sliced through the stronghold. An enormous giant stood in front of Tarukane's gate.

"You would give me the big giant, Kuwabara." Yusuke leaped high and used his fist to land multiple punches all over the demon's body. The giant fell instantly.

"Here is Tarukane's estate." Botan pointed. "Yukina is in the highest tower."

"I'm going up." Tsuki dropped her backpack. "I'll make the entrance clear for you guys."

Kuwabara headed towards the front gate. "Hold on, my darling. Your brave man is coming!"

Botan touched Yusuke's shoulder. Her oar was in her other hand. "Take care of him. Don't let him rush in so blindly. I'm detecting energies of strong demons. Tsuki, I'm going up as well."

"Inari, let's fly." The fox goddess emerged instantly. She climbed on top of her guardian's back while Botan flew to the sky.

As Inari soared over the gate, Tsuki heard a loud pop and peeked down. The security guards were firing their guns.

"Hold it!" More bullets flew by them.

Tsuki surrounded her and Inari with a barrier. She aimed at her targets. "Spirit arrow! Inari, fox fire!"

Inari glided through them and launched her shots. The guards ducked for cover while the others ran to the front door.

An explosion rang Tsuki's ears. The hot wind blew past them as she observed the fire. She didn't expect the crime lord to have land mines! Where was Yusuke and Kuwabara?

It was an epic scene. With Yusuke's spiritual energy, he was able to guide Kuwabara through the fire. Botan landed right in front of them and grinned.

Tsuki sighed in relief. She glanced at the towers. "Inari, fly higher!"

The front towers weren't catching her attention. She didn't have time to thoroughly search. The security guards were still shooting at her barrier.

When Inari flew to the other side of the estate, Tsuki noticed talisman cards on the back tower's window. She had seen those cards before. They helped seclude demons. No wonder she couldn't sense Yukina's energy. There had to be a back entrance.

"Spirit beam!" Tsuki instantly knocked the trailing guards out cold. She pointed at the ground near the sidewall. "Inari, land here!"

They crept slowly and peeked at the corner. There was a small back entrance to the estate. The problem was that Tarukane had a lot of guards patrolling the area.

Noticing Tsuki's distress, the fox goddess used her power to create a replica of themselves.

"Good plan, Inari!" The princess watched with a wide grin as the guards began to chase and shoot at their illusion.

Tsuki used her beam to break the door. As they made it inside, there were portraits of the crime lord hanging everywhere. The high walls were painted in money green. Large crystal chandeliers dangled across the ceiling. For a hideous person, Tarukane sure did have an elegant taste.

"Tsuki, where are you? Are you inside the building?" Botan spoke through the radio.

"Yes, I have an idea where Yukina is. Do you want to meet me here?"

"Unfortunately, we're surrounded inside the entrance of the mansion. Yusuke is fighting one of the demons right now."

"Well, I'll go on ahead." Tsuki was sure the guys could handle themselves. She patted her guardian. "I'll be safe. I have Inari."

"Okay, please be careful! We'll meet you there shortly!"

Inari and Tsuki shot the cameras down as they ran through the hallway. When she turned the corner, a guard exited out of a hidden elevator.

Tsuki shocked him before he could reach for his gun. "Where are you hiding Yukina?"

"Why should I tell you bitch?" The security guard taunted. "You're going to die anyway."

Inari showed her teeth and pushed him towards the wall. Her front paws hit his chest, growling at his frightened face.

"O-okkk, r-rrright tt-this wway!"

He looked like he was about to pee his pants as they entered the elevator and pressed the up button.

Tsuki's divine bells were touching his lower back. "Are there any guards patrolling her cell?"

"N-no! They went to the front entrance as soon as you entered the boss estate!"

Perfect. Once they got out, the security guard led them to another flight of stairs.

His hand was shaking as he pointed at the door. "S-she's in there!"

He wasn't lying. Tsuki felt a sorrowful presence inside the room.

She shocked the guard with her divine bells. He was now unconscious on the polished marble floor. "Thanks for the tour."

Tsuki and Inari entered the room. When they stepped further, Tsuki shuddered when a cold breeze blew past her. Snow began to pile up on the floor while ice surrounded the walls.

They continued to walk through the small blizzard storm. Inari kept blowing fire out her nose while Tsuki hugged her.

Inside the cell sat Yukina. Her whole body was glowing as she stared blankly at the window. Next to her was a table and bed.

"Y-yukina, p-pplease s-stop! I-I-I d-don't m-m-mean a-ny harm!" Tsuki shivered. She clutched herself tightly and hoped Yukina would give her a chance.

The young ice maiden stopped glowing and glanced at the priestess. She sniffled and cautiously walked towards her. Her face was red and puffy.

"Who are you?" Yukina asked softly. "Why are you here?"

Tsuki sighed in relief and rubbed her body. "My name is Tsuki Saito, and this is my guardian Inari. I'm a priestess. My friends and I are here to rescue you."

Yukina backed away like she spotted a ghost. "Don't come near me! You'll only get hurt!"

"It's too late for that. Kuwabara would be upset if I didn't take a chance to rescue you. Now stay back. I'm going to break this cell." Since the talisman was only affecting demons, the spell wouldn't affect her spiritual powers.

Yukina obeyed and stood close to the window.

"Inari, fox lighting!"

Her guardian charged her power. Within seconds, a large blast of lighting escaped through her mouth. The talisman cards flared up. It only took another minute for the cell door to bend and break.

Tsuki kicked the door down. "Let's go, Yukina." Before she could grab Yukina's hand, Inari turned away from the cell and growled intensely.

"What's wrong, Inari?" Tsuki watched as Inari's two tails rose. She sensed ten people were standing outside the room. However, only two of them were entering.

Tsuki's eyebrow furrowed as Inari kept growing. Something wasn't right. She has never seen her guardian act this way before.

"You need to go now!" Yukina warned. "They'll kill you!"

There was nowhere to run. The guards would already be in the cell by the time Tsuki broke the window. She had to stand her ground.

Tsuki froze. She was enclosed by evil presences. In front of her stood a huge man. He had short hair and was wearing black shades. On his shoulder was a small lanky man with long curly hair.

The skinny man jumped down and pointed his long fingers at her. "Look, brother. She made it inside Yukina's cell. What a clever girl."

"Yes, she is." The humongous man glanced at Inari. "Hello, Inari. It's been a while."

Inari showed her teeth and snarled.

"How do you know Inari?" Even though their demon energy was low, Tsuki sensed that she was in danger. There was no way she could handle both of them by herself. Her spiritual energy was not at the highest level.

"I can't believe Hayato's granddaughter is in our presence," the brother remarked. "What a shame that we have to kill her."

"Who are you? How do you know about my grandfather?" She widened her stance.

Yukina backed into the cell's corner. "Oh no, not again."

"Yes, ice maiden. Just as we told you, there's no escape." The tall man took off his trench coat jacket. "I believe I only need 20%, brother. Her energy is nowhere near Hayato's spiritual level."

"Indeed, brother. She'll die quickly then." The smaller brother unbuttoned his collar shirt.

The tall brother's muscular body began to change. Tsuki noticed his demonic energy was highly increasing. If she wanted to make it out of here alive, she needed to strike now.

"Inari! Fox wheel!" Five balls of fire escaped out of her guardian's mouth. They spun fast towards the brothers.

The smaller brother transformed into a shield and blocked Inari's fire. His brother was now a buffed heavy weighted man.

The tall brother grabbed the shield and sprinted towards Inari.

"Fox lighting!" Tsuki ordered. Her guardian started to release her attack.

"Girl, it's going to take more than fire and lightning to beat me!" The tall man elbowed Inari in the chest.

"Inari!" Tsuki screamed as her guardian collided into the cell.

The fox goddess coughed out blood and laid on the ground trembling. She transformed and went inside the priestess's body.

"Damn you!" Tsuki charged her divine bells. "Holy light!" Numerous holy projectiles blast towards them at lighting speed.

The buffed brother tossed his morphed shield brother and covered himself. Tsuki's power created dents the size of a basketball on his firm body.

"Huh," the man smiled. He slowly began to regenerate. "Interesting, I guess 20% was wrong. You injured me."

Tsuki's eyes widened. Where were the blood and organs? He should've died!

The tall brother was now towering over her. "It's my turn."

Tsuki created a barrier, but his punch broke it. She flew high and landed on Yukina's table. Her spiritual earrings scattered to the ground.

"She even had time to defend my attack. Brother, I change my mind. Hayato's granddaughter can live for a little while longer."

"Y-you bastard!" The crumbled table caught Tuski's fall, but her whole body was aching. Her head was spinning when she slowly got up.

The skinny brother transformed back to his lanky shape. He stepped forward and glared menacingly at the priestess. "Stay down girl," he ordered.

"No," Tsuki didn't care if her instinct was demanding her to surrender. They needed to pay for hurting Inari. "I won't bow down to y-AAHHH!"

The other brother stabbed Tsuki's shoulder with his extended index and middle finger. "When I say stay down, I mean it!"

"AHHHHHHH!" Tsuki felt her body was on fire. "AHHHHHHH!"

Yukina covered her mouth in horror.

"Now listen closely, you spoiled brat. I only missed your crucial nerves and bones because your grandfather used to be our teammate." Tsuki winced in pain as he tugged her loose hair. "If you define me again, I won't hesitate to slice your throat."

He pushed his fingers deeper, enjoying every minute of her scream.

The tall brother put on his trench coat. "That's enough brother. She got the picture. Let's get ready for the other two."

"Of course, brother. Hopefully, they'll entertain us more." He roughly let her go and shrunk his fingers back to normal. He glanced at Yukina. "Girl, you better hurry and stop her blood before the guards come."

The smaller brother put on his collar shirt and slinked to his brother's shoulder. He laughed mercifully out of the room.

Yukina kneeled next to Tsuki and touched her wounds.

"Are you alright?" Her hands began to glow blue. She glanced away from Tsuki's eyes. "I'll do my best to help you."

Yukina's hands were cool then surprisingly became warm. Tsuki didn't feel the aches as she continued to numb the pain away.

They could hear the security guards coming close. The ice maiden applied pressure. "I need more time to close it. This is all my fault. I'm so sorry, Tsuki."

The priestess grabbed her arm and squeezed it. Despite her excruciating pain, she refused to give up. The battle wasn't over yet. Not by a long shot. They were all getting out here alive.

Tsuki's hand started to glow pure white. Her powers spread through Yukina's hand, and across her shoulders.

Yukina's eyes met hers. "Your wounds are closing up. It's a miracle!"

Tsuki gave out a small smile. It was a miracle that she finally awakened her healing abilities.

The guards roughly pulled her up. Tsuki didn't resist as they shoved her and Yukina outside. All of her spiritual energy was drained.

The brothers stood waiting. They led them into the elevator and hit the basement button. Everyone remained silent after they exited and headed downstairs.

"What's wrong, Yukina?" Tsuki observed the ice maiden concentrating on something hard.

"Your friends are alright," Yukina whispered. "They're on their way. I don't know if they can beat them."

Yusuke and Kuwabara were dangerously outmatched, but Tsuki had hope. If they can beat the Saint Beast, then they can beat the demon brothers.

The lanky brother turned to them and laughed. Tsuki's glare didn't phase him one bit.

Tarunkane was a sick man. His basement consists of weird mutated monsters and demons. They sat miserably in their caves as scientists continued to experiment on some.

"Take them upstairs. We'll get ready for the boys." The tall brother ordered, pressing another button. He and his brother entered through a large red door.

The guards went inside another elevator, leading Yukina and Tsuki to a lavish room where five men appeared on their TV screen. Tarukane was standing in the middle, smoking a cigar.

"So, you're the priestess that tried to take my prize away from me." He shook his head. "That can't do. You must pay. Luckily for you, I've decided to keep you alive. All my rich friends love your blood. Just like a glass of red wine, it's sweet and purely intoxicating."

"You're a disgusting slob," Tsuki insulted. He was definitely uglier in person.

"Whatever, brat. Just enjoy the show, alright? I'm afraid your other friends won't survive. The Demon Triads couldn't kill them. Now, it's the Toguro brothers' turn. Guards, bring them forward. They have front row seats." He laughed and turned to his friends. "Sayko, get ready to pay me my money. These guys will get pummeled."

"We'll see. I have high faith the outsiders will win." Sakyo replied as he blew out his cigarette. Out of all of them, he was the youngest.

5 minutes later, Yusuke, Kuwabara, and Botan entered the stadium.

"Welcome, try not to be too hard on us. We're fragile." The tall Toguro stated as he opened his arms in a friendly gesture.

"Psh, their spiritual energy couldn't hurt a fly." Kuwabara glanced up and waved at Tsuki and Yukina. "Yukina! Tsuki! We're coming!"

Yukina bit her lip and avoided his gaze.

Tsuki swallowed hard. Her friends didn't know what they were getting into.

"Do you want to say any last words to your friends, priestess?" Tarukane asked. The security guard pushed Tsuki closer to the microphone.

The priestess managed to flash her teeth. "Kick their asses!"

Tarukane shoved her away. "Hey, Toguro! Don't blow this!" He sounded nervous. His whole finances were bet on this match. Sakyo and the rest of them didn't seem to mind. It was awful how these rich maniacs were bargaining for their lives.

The big Toguro channeled his energy while the small Toguro morphed in a long sword.

Yusuke and Kuwabara were speechless at their high powers. Their body movements momentarily froze as big Toguro charged at them with full speed.

Botan stepped back while he sliced the sword. The guys were able to jump out of the way with their shirts cut open.

"Spirit Sword!" Kuwabara yelled.

"Too slow!" Toguro slashed downwards.

Kuwabara was ahead and blocked Toguro's attack with his sword. They stood strong until Toguro uppercut him in the stomach.

Blood spurted out Kuwabara's mouth as he collided with the wall. He stood up and clutched his stomach.

"You ignore the fatal blow. I'm surprised you were smart enough to do that," Toguro remarked.

Yusuke intervened before Toguro could slice again. "Take this! Spirit gun!"

Toguro turned to the side and dodged it. He leaped towards Yusuke.

"Shotgun!" The spirit detective fired his shots.

The blast didn't phase the demon. No bruises or scratches appeared on his body.

Toguro ran towards him and swung. Yusuke jumped high and pointed his index finger at his head.

"How about point blank?!" Yusuke's spirit gun was a direct hit. Toguro barely had time to cover his face.

Sweat was pouring down on Tarukane's face. "What?!"

"Yes," Tsuki whispered.

Kuwabara and Botan cheered too. They stopped when the smoke revealed Toguro blocked the shot with his brother's shield body. He punched a surprised Yusuke in the face.

Tsuki's mouth was wide open. Toguro's shield was going to be a problem for them. She jumped a little when the demon lunged.

Yusuke and Kuwabara haven't had a chance to recover. Toguro continued to pound and kick them. "I thought you guys would give me much more entertainment!" With a strong front kick in the chest, Kuwabara flew to the wall again. Yusuke tried to hook the demon, but Toguro caught it and side punched him.

Tarukane laughed evilly. "What pure entertainment! Those Toguro brothers are invisible. I can smell my money coming in."

Tsuki watched helplessly as her friends got pulverized. She didn't know how long they could take this battle.

"So how are you going to pay me, Sakyo? Cash or credit?" The crime lord pressed the speaker button. "Feel free to take your time on them Toguro. I know you demons like tutoring your victims. Besides, my Black Black Club could use some dirty fun."

Yukina closed her eyes and turned away.

"Oh, why aren't you looking, baby?" Tarukane forcibly grabbed her chin. "I know just how you like it. Humans are always getting killed because of you. Just like that last one."

Yukina gasped. The ice maiden had a vacant look as she stared into space.

"You monster!" Tsuki barked at him. She was not going to allow him to treat Yukina that way. "Yukina, don't listen to him! He's a miserable, overweight pig that uses his money to-"

Her sentence was cut short by a hard slap in the face.

Tarukane touched Tsuki's stung cheek. "You talk big, but I bet you'll be singing a different tune after I'm finished with you. I'll break you, priestess. Nice and slow."

Tsuki was shaking like a leaf. Her whole body quivered with an uncontrollable rage. She leaned in, heat pouring off her words. "You're going to regret this."

"We'll se-WHAT?! He's still standing up?!"

Tsuki and Yukina looked down at the stadium.

"Unforgivable!" Kuwabara's spirit energy flowed brightly like a sunray. He glared intensely at the crime lord. "And you call yourself a man?! Seeing you makes me sick, Tarukane!"

Toguro tossed Yusuke to the side and turned to Kuwabara. Botan hurried to aid the wounded spirit detective.

"What? You want to beat me up? Sorry kid, I'm too expensive. Toguro, I want this weakling fried extra crispy!" Tarukane ordered.

Toguro moved his neck and shoulders. "You heard him. We don't have a choice."

Kuwabara tried to cut him with his spirit sword. Toguro used his brother to shield the attack.

"Your attacks are very slow. We can easily detect your moves. I have no tolerance of your weakness!" Toguro landed him another uppercut in the stomach.

"Alright, Toguro. You had your fun." Tarukane drummed his fingers on the counter. "I need to start collecting my money!"

The smaller Toguro morphed back into a sword. "Let's go, brother. The battle ends here."

Tsuki spotted Yusuke and Kuwabara talking. They were making a plan, but would it be enough?

Kuwabara charged again.

"I just told you." Toguro lifted his sword. "Your attacks are slow!"

With the power of the spirit gun, Kuwabara's body sped up. He stabbed Toguro in the middle of his stomach. After a few fainted words, the demon tumbled backward to the ground.

Tarukane gasped as his bodyguards laid motionless. "What's this?!"

"Simple old friend. It means you lost the bet." Sakyo put his cigarette in the ashtray. "I believe 66 trillion, 50 billion, and 200 million is the total you now owe me. I want my money in the next hour." His screen turned pitch black.

"Well, I know you founded the Black Black Club, but we can't associate with poor men," the bearded man said. "Have fun standing at the bus stop."

The four men's laughs echoed through the room. One by one, they disappeared from their screen.

Tarukane turned to his securities. "Now it's time for plan B. Start the chopper. No one is taking the priestess and Yukina away from me. I'll get my money back!"

The door slid open. The security guards let go of the girls and drew out their guns. Hiei already sliced them before they could even shoot.

The guards silently crumbled onto the floor. Tarukane's body trembled as he stepped backward.

Hiei glared at him. "The game is over you ugly fool. I saw the talisman cards hung on the tower. That explains why I couldn't find her with my Jagan."

"Wait! I don't know who you are, but if it's money you're after, we can talk!" He declared and pointed at Tsuki and Yukina. "Those broads behind you can make us so much money. With the priestess blood and me pumping the ice maiden jewels, we can make millions!"

Hiei clenched his teeth and balled his fists. This time, he wasn't fast enough. Tsuki interfered and punched Tarukane square in the face.

The crime lord grabbed his nose with eyes watery.

"I'm sick of listening to your filthy words!" She front kicked him in the stomach. When he stumbled, she threw more punches and scratches. Everything was a blur as Yukina and Hiei watched her.

Tsuki got down on her knees. Her mind was racing a mile a minute while Tarukane groaned in pain. She stared at her hands that were covered in his blood.

"Tsuki." It was a faint whisper inside her mind. She shouldn't have lost control like that.

"Tsuki." Again, she ignored it. Why couldn't she just stop herself? This wasn't like her at all.

"Tsuki, look at me!" She stopped her obsessive thoughts and glanced into Hiei's eyes.

He gave her direct eye contact with his eyebrows furrowed. "Are you alright?"

Her lips trembled. Tsuki's eyes burned as she tried to keep her tears away. "I can't kill him," she confessed. "No matter how much I want to, I can't do it. Even if he truly deserves to die."

Hiei nodded and grabbed Tarukane's collar. "I know, but I can."

"Hiei, wait! You know you can't!" Tsuki stood up. "The Spirit World will arrest you!"

"I don't follow the rules. I break them. They're just afraid of justice." He prepared for the final blow.

"No!" Yukina grabbed his arm and shook her head. "Please, don't kill him! No more, I beg of you!"

Hiei couldn't comprehend what she just said. "Are you crazy?! Is this not the same man that tormented you?!"

"He is, but taking his life won't wash away all that he's done to me. It'll only make it worse, and bring more pain...and bring me more nightmares."

"Oh Yukina," Tsuki whispered. The ice maiden was right. Tsuki couldn't deliver the final judgment. She wasn't God.

"Please, no more! I can't take it!" Yukina's tears begin to fall, creating the jewels that confided her into the cell.

"Understood, I won't make you cry. He's too worthless for that." Hiei tossed the unconscious crime lord to the ground.

"Thank you." Yukina wiped her face and stared at his eyes. "You seemed familiar, but I'm not sure why. Who are you?"

Tsuki listened while observing them closely. Yukina and Hiei had the same red eyes and facial features. The major differences were their hair and height.

Hiei's eyes widened. He blinked and glanced at the stadium. "No one, just a member of the team."

"Oh no, I forgot about them. Are you coming Tsuki?"

The priestess smiled. "You go ahead, Yukina. I'm going to talk to my teammate."

The ice maiden nodded and headed downstairs.

"Why didn't you tell her?" Tsuki asked.

"It's better this way. She doesn't need to know that her brother is a criminal. I just want her to be safe."

"That's not true, Hiei. Yukina has a kind heart. If she's seen how much pain and torture you endure for her, she'll know that you're a good brother."

Hiei remained silent.

Tsuki watched the lover boy make strong eye contact as Yukina smiled and nodded. She was gentle and affectionate with Kuwabara's wounds. "Maybe you're just afraid that she'll reject you."

"Hmph, you make it sound so simple. Remember, I try to kill you, your grandfather, and your best friend. You don't know me, human."

"You're right, demon. I don't know you, but you don't know me either." She stared at his fiery red eyes. "I know an evil person when I see one. You may have your motives, but you're nowhere near Tarukane's level of evil."

"Tsuki is correct, Hiei. You should listen to her," a familiar voice stated.

Hiei glared at the fox demon. "How long were you standing here? Too long I assumed."

Kurama walked towards them with his hands behind his back. "It looks like I wasn't needed. I'm glad you guys are alright."

Botan and Yusuke entered the room.

"Tsuki!" Botan hugged her tightly. "I'm glad you're alright!"

"You look like you've been through hell," Yusuke remarked, ruffling her loose hair.

"Yeah, but it was worthwhile," Tsuki declared as she glanced at the battered Tarukane.

The spirit detective acknowledged Kurama and Hiei. "Looks like we have a full house."

Hiei ignored him. He stopped midway and glanced at Tsuki with new curiosity.

"You're right, Tsuki. You're not the average priestess."

Sudden warmth spread through Tsuki's chest. She gave Hiei a genuine smile before he exited out of the room.

Kurama, who had seen the whole interaction between them, stood next to Tsuki. "Hmmm, looks like he's fond of you."

"He's not that bad of a guy either," Tsuki replied. Yusuke was correct. This was an interesting mission.
