"Are you sure you don't want to come with us, Tsuki?" Kurama asked. "It'll be heroic."

Tsuki shook her head. "No thanks. I'll go to the front entrance with Mitamura. I want to make sure he stays safe."

"Nonsense, Gatasubal will make an open for you." Kurama slithered his rose rip out. The robot headed towards the stadium's wall.

"Thanks, Kurama." Tsuki smiled, grateful she didn't have to deal with the pesky demons. "We'll see you guys inside."

Hiei leaped first. Kurama nodded and jumped behind him.

"Thank you for everything," Mitamura stated while Tsuki helped him down. "Before Kurama gave me the antidote, I didn't know how much time I had left."

"No worries, Mitamura. We're here to help. How are you feeling?"

"Much better. I believe I'll recover within a week."

"That's great to hear." Tsuki patted her guardian's head. "You can rest now. Thanks, Inari."

Inari growled, transforming her soul back into Tsuki's body.

The robot created a large hole through the wall. Tsuki and Mitamura waited for the rumbles to fall before entering the stadium.

The audiences' mouths were gaped open. They gasped as Kurama and Hiei landed on Gatasubal's shoulders.

"What the hell?! I thought you guys were dead!"

"It's too late now! Your teammates' heads are going to get sliced off!"

Tsuki sighed in relief. Her teammates were still fighting in a 3-on-3 battle. But their torn clothes and batter bodies displayed they were struggling with the human fighters.

Yusuke crossed his arms. "Hey guys, you're late."

Botan beamed, sprinting towards the priestess. "Thank goodness you guys are okay." She grabbed Mitamura's other arm. "We were all worried."

"The missing members of the Urameshi Team have appeared!" Koto declared. "Tsuki, Hiei, and Kurama, can you guys tell us where you've been?!"

"Sorry for the tardiness. A 30ft killing machine wanted a word with us," Hiei explained.

"En, Kai, Ryo, look what that evil monster did to you," Mitamura whimpered. The three fighters didn't even glance at him.

Dr. Ichigaki's dark, bulging eyes stared at the master. "What?! But how could Mitamura get here?!"

Hiei smirked. "Your assistant was in the mood to talk. At first, he couldn't remember, but his memory improved very quickly after a painful interrogation."

"Don't try to deny anything, doctor. M5 told us everything." Kurama pointed at the fighters. "The beruki on the human fighters' back is the source of Dr. Ichigaki's mind control. And in their present state, I'm afraid it'll be fatal to remove them."

"They're completely innocent," Tsuki resumed. "They didn't know the implants would control them. Dr. Ichigaki said it was only blood research. Not only did he lied, but he poisoned the master in the first place! After seeing Mitamura's symptoms, Kurama was able to make an antidote."

Kuwabara stared fiercely at the doctor. "That no good liar! I told you guys!"

"You evil man! You deceived my students!" Mitamura wailed. "You deceived me!"

Dr. Ichigaki erupted with a devilish laugh. "HAHAHEHEHOHO! It sounds so amusing when you say it! Go ahead and tell the world my ingenious scheme! It won't make any difference! This fight belongs to me!"

Tsuki's face twisted in grimace. The doctor couldn't care less about his evil doings. He was only looking after his scum self.

"I can't do this, Urameshi! This guy doesn't have a soul!" Kuwabara shook his head.

Yusuke scowled. "Listen to that power tripping laugh! That guy thinks he can use people however he wants!"

"Your unscientific mind is so nontrivial and fully blinded by the larger picture!" Dr. Ichigaki yelled. "So maybe I did poison the master! Maybe I lied to get their bodies, and maybe I enjoyed it! WHO CARES?! BEHIND EVERY LAB DISCOVERY, I HAVE A FEW POISON RATS!"

Tsuki and Botan placed Mitamura on the ground next to the robot.

"Listening to his rant is making me sick," Tsuki stated, glaring at the doctor.

"He has no right to treat people like that," Botan commented.

"Shut up, Dr. Ichigaki!" Kuwabara barked. "You're full of crap, and you know it! You don't care about the science stuff! You're just trying to win the tournament!"

"HAHAHAHAHAHA! Means to an end, boy! Means to an end! I have no expectation of winning this! I'm sure these three will be killed long before the finals! I only need to win this match so I can have Yusuke and Tsuki's bodies!"

"What?!" Yusuke and Kuwabara clenched their fists.

"You maniac!" Tsuki fumed.

Dr. Ichigaki eyed his possessions. "They're strong, but they have nothing like the potential you guys have! I probably dispose of them myself once this round ends! HAHAHAHAHAHA!"

Tsuki gripped her divine bells. The lunatic was going to repent for his sins.

"You what?!" Kuwabara stood frozen and slack-jawed.

Yusuke cracked his knuckles. "Damn it, that's it!"

The masked fighter covered her beautiful and young face. "Stop and think, boys. He's manipulating your emotions. You're losing the little focus that you have."

"I don't care if it's a trap or not!" Yusuke sprinted. "His troll ass is meeting my foot!"

Kuwabara ran next to him. "You monster!"

"Oh my! The mad doctor's words threw Yusuke and Kuwabara in a blinding rage! They're abandoning their true opponents to pummel Dr. Ichiagiki instead!" Koto announced.

M3 lifted his two teammates in the air. With one swift movement, M1 punched Kuwabara, and M2 kicked Yusuke.

"Ugh!" Kuwabara and Yusuke skirted and tumbled in front of the masked fighter.

The doctor howled. "You can't beat logic! I'll win this fight thanks to science!"

"Now!" Hiei commanded. He and Kurama dashed to the ring.

Tsuki trailed behind them. It was time to end this.

Koto raised her hand. "Uh, uh, uh! I'm sorry, but they already agreed on a 3-on-3 fight! Step in the ring now, and your whole team forfeits!"

Botan glared, gritting her teeth. "You're a heartless mess!"

Tsuki huffed and bit her lip. There was no need to argue with the announcer. She was only doing her job.

"HA! HA! HA! Please, don't blame her!" Dr. Ichigaki stated. "I'm the one that got your apist friend to accept those terms!"

"Hey, Kuwabara." Yusuke jolted up. "I think the doctor called you an apist."

Kuwabara brushed his shoulders and sneered. "Yeah, like I need another reason to pummel his head in!"

The human fighters blocked their path.

Yusuke's frustration in his voice was unmistakable. "Give me a break! Why are you still protecting this guy?!"

"Come on, guys! At least say something! You heard the doctor himself! He doesn't care ab-" Kuwabara's words were interrupted by the doctor's laugh.

"HAHAHA! HAVE YOU LEARNED NOTHING YET?! NOTHING YOU SAY CAN'T MATTER BECAUSE THEY'RE IN CONTROL! As the blood from the beruki enters the subjects' skull, the microelectronics alter the brain's chemistry! Their entire personality has changed! This isn't simple hypnosis or one suggestive command! I'M TALKING ABOUT A CONSTANT VOICE IN THEIR HEAD! AND EVERY WAKING MOMENT, IT'S CONTROLLING THEM FROM INSIDE!"

Tsuki's body tensed, her deep hatred of the doctor bubbling to the surface. All she heard coming out of Dr. Ichigaki's mouth was logical crap.

Dr. Ichigaki continued his arrogant rant. "They're not protecting me because I've given them the command! Their new brain actually wants to! YOU SEE?! THEY REALIZE THE BEAUTY OF MY INVENTION! THEY DON'T LISTEN TO ME OR ANYONE ELSE! THE COMMAND HAS BECOME WHO THEY ARE! HAHAHAHA! SO KILL THEM IF YOU CAN! THEIR HUMANITY IS ALREADY DEAD!"

That's not true! Their souls are still alive! Tsuki gazed at the fighters' eyes. There was no doubt that their souls wanted to be free from their prison.

"I can't accept that! That isn't true! I know there's something more!" Kuwabara's eyes widened. "Right there. That image. I see it again. It's stuck in my eyelids every time I blink. Wait, wait! I understand now, Urameshi. It's not a dream. It's a message! Dr. Ichigaki is wrong! Their old selves haven't been erased! Just covered up!"

"Hahahaha! After all I said, you're still clinging to pathetic hopes. Avoid the truth as long as it makes you feel better, right?" Dr. Ichigaki grinned wickedly. "WELL, THEN LET YOUR COMPASSION LEAD YOU ALL THEY WAY TO YOUR GRAVES!"

M1, M2, and M3 sprinted across the ring. "KILL...KILL...KILL..."

"Damn!" Yusuke scurried away.

"The Urameshi Team is forced to retreat again!" Koto declared. "Wait a sec! Kuwabara isn't moving this time! He's decided to hold his ground against the death-dealing attackers!"

Yusuke abruptly stopped. "What the?"

"Kuwabara, no!" Tsuki screamed. "This isn't the time to be sacrificial!"

"These guys chose me to send their message," Kuwabara argued. "I'm all they got! And now I have to accept my responsibility as a man!"

"What is this fool talking about?" Hiei questioned.

"Kuwabara," Kurama warned. "This is not wise."

Kuwabara disregarded their words. "Okay, guys. I hear what you're saying to me. But you gotta tell me how to help!"

M2 slashed the spear down Kuwabara's chest. He cried in pain, collapsing to the ground.

"Angel blades!" M1 tossed his razor-sharp rings.

Tsuki flinched as Kuwabara rolled over from the attack.

Yusuke sprinted. "Kuwabara!" He halted when Kuwabara's gaze flared at him.

"No!" Determination filled his eyes. Kuwabara grabbed M3's arm. "Please!"

No emotions showed in M3's face while he threw a jab and cross at Kuwabara.

Kuwabara ignored his bloody nose and grabbed his shoulders. "I know it feels like you beat, but you're not! This is still your body!"

M3 brushed Kuwabara off, hooking him in the face.

Kuwabara tousled to the ground. "Think about your master!" He stated, jerking up. "Everything you-AHHH!"

M3 clamped his chest. Blood spurted out of Kuwabara's mouth as he fell instantly.

"Kuwabara, stop!" There was sadness in Tsuki's voice while her hands shook. Her watery eyes couldn't bear to watch this any longer.

Yusuke's fury welled in his chest. "Enough of this! I'm coming in to help!"

"No, stay back! I'm the only one who needs to do this!" Kuwabara commanded, spreading his arms. The three robots pounced with their spiritual attack growing. He closed his eyes. "This is for you!"

"Kuwabara!" Yusuke yelled.

Immobilized, Tsuki waited with panic dread as their attacks landed on his body.

"Kuwabara goes down!" Koto announced as Kuwabara flew outside of the ring. "His plea was thrown in his face with a sensational 3-on-1 attack!"

The audience clapped and whistled.

"Yeah! Now kill Yusuke!"

"You'll get no sympathy in the Dark Tournament!"

Tsuki, Botan, the masked fighter raced to their teammate's side.

Kuwabara coughed, blood pouring from his mouth. "Sorry, I tried." He moaned. Botan gently placed his head on her lap.

"No, Kuwabara." Tsuki wiped a tear away and smiled. "You did a great job."

Yusuke glared at the fighters. "How could you do that?! You're the bastards who asked him for help!"

While the masked fighter scanned Kuwabara's body, Tsuki fixed her gaze on the ring.

What?! They're crying! Realization washed over her in alternating waves of sadness and grief.

"Kill….Kill us..." The fighters begged. Bloody tears dripped on their faces. "Kill...Kill us…"

Yusuke stood unbothered by their agony. "What is this? You actually feel guilty now when it's over?"

"No, Yusuke. It's not over." The masked fighter dropped her hands. "For Kuwabara anyway. They deliberately missed his vital points. He will live."

"Amazing," Botan's eyes lit up. "Kuwabara's plea really worked."

"Not completely," the masked fighter informed. "Their true selves have awoken, but they're not in control. I'm afraid this surfacing of emotions will not last for long."

"These guys must be in a war with their own bodies," Yusuke stated, expressing sympathy. "And they're losing."

"Kill...us….Kill...us."

"No," Mitamura sobbed. "I can't stand seeing them in this state."

Tsuki touched her sinking heart. Their pain was overwhelming.

"Hehehehe! Really?!" Dr. Ichigaki analyzed the fighters' back. "The human's emotional brain is the only part throwing a wrench in my socket. Millions of microelectronics are controlling their neuro path, and yet their feelings manage to crack open. The beruki will soon fix that."

Yusuke's temper sparked. "This is the one chance you guys get to talk, and all you can say is kill you? It must be hell in there." His spiritual aura swirled. "Ergh, stupid doctor thinks he can torture people like that. No way!"

Tsuki's jaw dropped. "Yusuke's spiritual power is soaring."

"I'm proud of him." The masked fighter's eyes were filled with happiness. "His emotions have broken the wall."

Yusuke sprinted and punched M2 in the face. M3 tried to claw him, but Yusuke jumped away from the strike.

"Nicely done, Yusuke!" Tsuki cheered.

M1 threw his angel blades. Yusuke darted and kicked him in the chest.

"Absolutely amazing!" Koto announced after the spirit detective evaded M3's spear and landed back in the arena. "The fight has been flipped onto its backside! Suddenly wonderboy Yusuke is taking the whole team by himself!"

"It seems the doctor was wrong," Kurama stated. "Determining the true human heart of a person is quite a gamble."

Hiei shook his head. "What an arrogant fool. His superb mind got the best of him."

Dr. Ichigaki clutched the calculator, stomping his foot. "What's the delay, you lab rats?! Destroy him!"

The human fighters leaped, M2 leading the way. His spear aimed for Yusuke's head.

Yusuke moved to the side. "Take this!" His right hand admitted energy, punching M2 to the ground.

"Amazing," the masked fighter applauded. "He's finally able to see their spiritual energy."

Yusuke hopped and charged his finger. "Lucky for you guys, I'm pretty good at avoiding my feelings. Otherwise, I'll be getting sick to my stomach on what I got to do."

The fighters stood ready for the shot. "Kill us...kill us…"

"No!" Mitamura cried, using the wall to lift himself up. "You don't have to do this! Don't waste your life away!"

Tsuki's eyebrows furrowed. "There must be another way."

"Yes, there is." The masked fighter bounced, soaring to Yusuke.

"It's been real fun, but I'll see you in hell. Remind me to apologize to you then," Yusuke stated. "I say this is going to hurt me more than it hurts you, but I don't like to lie."

The masked fighter touched his arm. "Wait, it's alright!"

Yusuke froze momentarily. "I can't move my arm." His spiritual energy stopped glowing as they landed back in the arena.

"Heads up! The mysterious fighter's mask is back on her face! And she stopped Yusuke's new attempt to fire his spirit gun!" Koto announced.

The masked fighter let go of his arm and stared at the fighters. "Let me take over from here."

"Looks like the mysterious fighter is squaring up! Could she just want some action for herself?!" Koto inquired.

"HEHEHAHAHAHA! NEITHER OF YOU HAVE THE STOMACH!" Dr. Ichigaki challenged. "YOU CAN'T KILL THESE HUMANS! You know it would be wrong! The only choice is to accept your defeat! HEHEHAHA!"

Kuwabara raised his head. "The doctor, don't let him leave."

"Take it easy." Botan pressed him back down. "They're going to do whatever they can, Kuwabara."

Tsuki glowered at Dr. Ichigaki. "Believe me. The doctor isn't going anywhere. His karma is coming."

"Okay, mystery lady," Yusuke stated. "Whatever you're going to do, do it fast."

The masked fighter created hand signals while her spiritual energy rose. "Meiin, metsuju, ressai, kohaku!"

"The mysterious fighter is chanting something now. Let's hope this is the final prayer for the men she's about to kill!" Koto declared.

A tornado of spiritual energy swirled around the masked fighter's hands. "Kyo, chojin, komei, eikyaku! HA!"

Tsuki's eyes twinkled. Her expression was a mixture of wonder and amazement.

"Damn," a look of astonishment crossed Yusuke's face. "And here I thought I was impressive."

Silence spread across the audience as the energy whirled to the sky.

Dr. Ichigaki sneered. "It's a hoax! Don't let it frighten you! Against the fighter's strength, she doesn't have enough power to create an attack that big! It's just for intimidation! Attack her!"

"Kill! Kill! Kill!" The fighters sprinted with their powers ready.

"While the masked fighter's hands are tied up, Dr. Ichigaki Team is charging! Looks like another slaughter!"

"KO!" The masked fighter split her energy, creating a force that lifted the fighters midair. She leaped, her fingers piercing their chest. "Jo!"

Tsuki and Botan caught their breaths. The beruki busted off of the fighters' backs. Their eyes became normal when they collapsed to the ground.

Dr. Ichigaki gasped. "What the?! My perfect inventions! How can you destroy scientific achievements with SIMPLE CHANTING?!"

"My students." Mitamura trembled. Kurama caught him before he could crumble. "I can't feel their energy."

"What the hell was that?!" Yusuke yelled. "You wiped them out with one shot! All of their spiritual energy is gone!"

Hiei's lips tighten. "There's nothing left of them."

"Yes, an immense attack," Kurama confirmed.

"Ahh no!" Kuwabara cried.

"Hey! What did you do to those guys?!" Yusuke asked the masked fighter. "Why did you hold me back if you were just going to kill them?!"

The masked fighter shrugged. "I did what I had to do. Nothing more."

Tsuki sighed and slumped her shoulders. She guessed that was the cleanest way to die rather than being fired by a giant spirit gun.

Koto twirled. "Wow! I have no idea what happened! But I definitely love it! Now, let's see. There was a blast of light, some heart-piercing, exploding beruki, and now just one thing to do! 1, 2, 3, 4, 5!"

While the announcer counted, the crowd's riotous bloomed.

"This is ridiculous!"

"Get up! You worthless humans!"

"6, 7, 8, 9, 10! And the Urameshi Team wins the match!" Koto declared. She flipped her hair as the audience booed. "Hate them all you want! But you better buy some water for those throats cause you'll be screaming for a while if they keep getting victories like that!"

"Oh shut up, fox girl!" Yusuke shouted, causing Koto to shriek. "That was no victory!"

"No, it's all a sham!" Kuwabara tried to uplift his body but dropped back onto Botan's lap. "We're supposed to be the good guys! We should've saved them!"

"You're right, Kuwabara. Now it's redemption time." Tsuki headed for the quivering Dr. Ichigaki. Hiei and Kurama were right behind her.

"Stupid doc pushing this on us! Stupid Dark Tournament!" Yusuke pointed his finger at the doctor. "Hey, asshole! You know you're not walking away from this!"

Dr. Ichigaki back stepped as they circled him.

"Don't embarrass yourself," Hiei advised.

Tsuki gave the maniac a dirty look. "It's too late to be a coward now."

"I've found some poisonous herbs on this island, doctor. Care to try one?" Kurama innocently asked.

"No need for that Kurama." Yusuke palmed his fist. "Are you ready to die?!"

"Hehehehe! You pathetic little minds!" Dr. Ichigaki pulled out a syringe from his jacket. "Do you really think I would experiment on body manipulation and not save some for myself?! Just another brilliant development from the incredible mind of Dr. Ichigaki!"

Tsuki blinked rapidly while the doctor grew enormous, his skin turning green.

"It's a Dr. Ichigaki metamorphosis!" Koto announced. "Now he's some kind of giant green monster with sharp fingernails!"

"Ahhh! It's gene therapy!" Dr. Ichigaki roared. "Hahahaha! Did you mindless puny creatures think you could stop the progress of science?! Let me show you my modification!" His extended hand aimed for Yusuke.

"Amazing! Dr. Ichigaki is stretching out his arm like its warm putty!" Koto pronounced.

Yusuke leaped out of the way. Dr. Ichigaki stretched his other arm towards Tsuki, Hiei, and Kurama. They avoided it and moved sharply into the ring.

Dr. Ichigaki charged. The others dodged, but the doctor managed to slice Yusuke's arm.

While the spirit detective fell, Hiei appeared in front of Yusuke with his sword out.

Yusuke yanked his body up, clutching his arm. "Hiei, wait. I got dibs on this jerk."

"Me too, Yusuke." Tsuki stood next to him. "Remember, he wanted both of our bodies."

Hiei smiled, placing his sword back into his sheath. "Just make sure you guys don't get killed."

"Looks like Tsuki and Yusuke are going to face the demon head on!" Koto declared. "Do they have what it takes to destroy the big monster?!"

"Go ahead then! Defy all logic!" Dr. Ichigaki struck, but Tsuki deflected his arms with a barrier.

Yusuke charged his spiritual energy. He grabbed the doctors' arms, tugging him forward.

The sudden movement threw Dr. Ichigaki off balance. "What's this?!"

"This is for the three innocent lives you stole!" Yusuke punched his chest and kicked him in the chin.

"Seal of purification!" Tsuki chanted. Two seals surrounded his sides. "This is for poisoning their master!"

"AHHH!" Dr. Ichigaki screamed. Cinders from his arms floated in the air.

"This is for my friend who felt sorry for them and got his ass kicked into the ground!"

Yusuke hit him in the face.

Tsuki's cannon beam aimed straight for his cold-blooded heart. "And that is for wanting to use our bodies for your atrocious experiment!"

"Ahhh!" Blood splattered out of Dr. Ichigaki's chest as he flew. His impact created a gigantic dent in the middle row seats.

Yusuke flipped him off. "Now you go think about what you did in the afterlife Dr. Ichigaki!"

"Wow, Dr. Ichigaki has been totally demolished by Yusuke and Tsuki's powerful assault!" Koto announced to the quiet crowd.

"Now that's what I call justice!" Botan praised.

Tears fell from Mitamura's eyes. "It doesn't matter. Taking Dr. Ichigaki's life is never going to bring back my students." He glanced at each of their faces. "En...Ryo...Kai...It's all my fault! How could I ever forgive myself?"

The masked fighter approached him. "Save your tears, Mitamura! Your boys aren't dead!"

Tsuki turned, observing the students' bodies. Their energies were back to their natural self.

"Are you kidding?!" Yusuke smacked his forehead.

Kai observed his back. "I can move."

"We're really alive!" En shouted.

Ryo moved his hand and beamed. "And in complete control!"

"Now, this is stupid weird." Yusuke scratched his head. "But I don't understand. A few minutes ago, their energy was completely gone."

"Yes, I guessed it worked," the masked fighter stated. "It's been a while since I last used it."

Mitamura came into the ring. "Kai, Rito, En. I never thought I would see you again!"

The students trembled. They turned away, putting their heads down.

"Wait!" Mitamura pleaded. "Why do you turn?"

"We committed horrible sins, master," Kai confessed. "I can't even remember all the people that I killed."

Ryo heavily sighed. "The lessons you taught us didn't mean anything. We're a disgrace to your dojo."

"Please, just leave us, master," En begged. "We can't bear to look at you now."

Tsuki frowned. The students' despairing words pierced her ears.

"Damn it!" Kai spoke, his frustration growing. "Why couldn't she just kill us?!"

A flash of anger appeared in Mitamura's eyes. "How could you say such things?!"

"Your master is right. Your guilt is misplaced," the masked fighter reassured. "The technique I use is called the spirit wave. It's one of the five great attacks, powered by your own spirit energy. If your souls are corrupt, then the wickedness would have taken your life. But if you're pure of heart, then the purity consumes you, destroying any impediments. It was your soul who destroyed the beruki and freed you. That proves you have nothing to hide."

Mitamura looked at them with the same loving expression. "En, Ryo, Kai, she says what I've known all along. If there were anything you could've done to prevent those kills, you would have. Your bodies were taking over, but your souls are still clean. I see you in the same way now as I always have. My three most noble students. Let's put this behind us!"

The students' faces were wet with tears. They sniffled as they hugged Mitamura.

"Master! We missed you so much!" En proclaimed.

"Master, is it really true? Are you going to be okay again?" Kai asked with genuine interest.

Mitamura's face beamed with delight. "Yes, I think so."

"Well, mysterious lady." Yusuke wiped his tears. "That was some attack."

"You did us well, fighter." Kurama complimented.

Tsuki's tears continued to seep down her cheeks. She hoped to master that healing ability someday. The sincerity in the master and students' voices filled her heart with joy.

"And so in a dramatic explosion of emotions fit to make any demon retch!" Koto disclosed. "The Urameshi Team is set to advance!"

Tsuki and Yusuke came to Kuwabara.

"So, how's he doing?" Yusuke asked Botan.

"Not too great. It's nothing life-threatening, but he's clearly going to need time to recover."

"He should be ready by the next round," Tsuki assured. "Don't worry, Kuwabara. I'll have plenty of time to heal you."

"Thanks, Tsuki," Kuwabara expressed warmly as Kurama and Botan escorted him to the waiting area.

Kai eagerly approached them. "Yusuke! Maybe I could be of some help. I like to repay you if that's possible. We're the ones that hurt Kuwabara. Let me fight in his place. I'll join as your substitute."

"Well, thanks for the offer, but this dufus would have a fit if I gave his spot away. Plus, we're allowed only one substitute if one of our teammates is dead." Yusuke shook Kai's hand. "You're a good fighter, but we have to go with this alone."

Tsuki's lips held a faint smile with her eyes glistening. "Take care of your master, Kai. He's the one that needs you guys the most right now."

"I understand." Kai returned the smile and ran back to his teammates. "Good luck! Maybe we'll see you again someday!"

Tsuki and Yusuke waved goodbye while the students took Mitamura out of the arena.

"Now, it's time to heal Kuwabara." Tsuki proceeded to the waiting area. She ducked as the furious crowd threw garbage.

"This sucks! I want my money's worth!"

"Why is it so hard to rip out their hearts?!"

I'm glad this round is over. This day was a rollercoaster, Tsuki thought, opening the locker room door.

Kuwabara was laid out on the table, groaning. The agony she seen in his eyes made Tsuki's stomach clench.

The priestess rolled up her sleeves. "Alright, Kuwabara." Before she could touch his chest, they heard a beep coming from the speaker.

"May I have your attention, please. The third match of the Dark Tournament will begin immediately."

"What's going on out there?" Botan demanded.

Uneasiness swept over Kurama. "At last, the committee is beginning their tactics." He immediately rushed out of the room.

"Furthermore, the tournament committee has unanimously decided to begin the round in accordance with the match's diagram, starting from the left. Team Urameshi and Team Mashōtsukai, please report to the arena."

Tsuki sucked in a sharp breath. She met Botan's confused gazed. "Didn't we just fight? We haven't even taken a break!"

Kuwabara winced, clutching his side. "Tsuki, Botan, help me. We have to go back out there."

"Right," Tsuki lightly grabbed Kuwabara's arm and sighed. Their dark terrors were just getting started.
