(Side Story)
Timeline: During the time before the allied recon teams fought the Flame dragon.
Location: Yomi
In the World of Darkness, therewasa woman sitting on a rock with her ghost servants, counting the deceased souls. She is Izanami-no-Mikoto or, for short, Izanami. She was the wife of Izanagi, the creator god of Japan.
She was always thinking about her husband. The pain of being abandoned by her most trusted partner was unforgivable. For decades, centuries, she wanted to choke him by the neck and torture him forever.
But part of her still loves him. It's like her feelings mixed together between loving him and hating him. Living in Yomi, she used to have a horrific, rotten body with maggots that would scare even her husband. But after spending what seemed like forever in this miserable forsaken place, she learned to restore her beautiful body back when she was with her husband.
She wore black sleeveless kimono with red detached sleeves, black skirt, dark red knee socks, red shoes, and an oni mask on her head. She has very long black hair, red whiskers marking, and red eyes. She also carried umbrella over her right shoulder.
As she was counting, one of her ghost servants came to her with a news. The ghost spoke in whisper and in encrypted language that only she would understand... Or so she thought.
Ghost servant: *Incoherent whisper*
Izanami: An intruder? Here?
Ghost servant: *Incoherent whisper*
Izanami: Don't be absurd, there's no way they could break through the defense.
?: Ah, but that's where you're wrong.
A voice echoed through Yomi. She and her ghosts looked around to find the source of the voice. They soon found it. There it was, stood the mysterious intruder on top of the cliff. It was a male wearing black armor, has blonde hair, and four feathered wings. On his hands was two badly injured hags. He threw Izanami's creation which then made a loud "thud" once they hit the ground in front of her. She observed his appearance before she stood up while keeping an eye on him.
Izanami: ... Lucifer, the Deceiver.
She said as she hightened her guard up. She heard story about the original sin and never thought she would actually meet one. He chuckled before he glides down using his wings to the ground.
Lucifer: Izanami, Goddess of the Underworld. It is an honored to meet you, milady.
He made a slight bow with his hand on his chest. However, she did not trust him and remained on guard.
Izanami: State your business, Serpent! Why did you come here?
Lucifer:*straightened up his position*I'm merely want to inform you about the existence of the otherworld called "Falmart."
Izanami arched an eyebrow
Izanami: Falmart? What nonsense are you talking about?
He raised his hands and fires started to form into a mirror, a mirror of the past.
Lucifer: See for yourself.
The mirror showed the incident of Ginza. She saw Roman-like army marched from the Gate and slaugthered the people of Japan and its foreign tourists. The scene didn't faze her since she had already swore her promise. In the amidst of chaos, she watched how her fellow gods protected the mortals from being harm, as well as two foreign sage and god. She figured it would be her daughter's doing sending help from other pantheons.
The mirror changed its scene towards the land of Falmart. Its civillization were all outdated compare to Earth. The mirror then stopped showing the scene before it disapeared in burst of fire.
Izanami: ... What does it have to do with me?
Lucifer, without a warning, instantly teleported right in front of her. She was surprised, but react on instinct to land a blow with her umbrella. Unfortunately, he caught it with ease as he stared into her eyes. She struggled to pull out her umbrella from his grasp.
Lucifer: A beautiful woman like you shouldn't act like that. It is your husband, Izanagi.
She stopped when he mentioned of her husband.
Izanami: ... Explain.
He smirked before letting go the umbrella. He walked around her as he explains.
Lucifer: You wanted revenge on your husband, correct? I can help you with that. This is your opportunity to do whatever you want with him. Your entire pantheons, along with the rest are in Falmart. I suspected that they have built a base there to watch over that land.
Izanami: How can I get my revenge if I can't even leave this place?
Being skeptical, Izanami found it impossible to leave the land of darkness since she had already eaten the fruit of Yomi. But the Serpent did not stop there as he reassured her.
Lucifer: Yes, I know you can't. You ate the fruit of this place. But what if I tell you that I can make you leave this place?
It caught her interest. Does he know a way to set her free? For many years, she always tried to find a way to escape, but now luck is on her side. She continued to listen the serpent word as he speaks.
Lucifer: Here's the deal. I'll help you escape this place if you join me to assemble other ruler of hells or underworlds. I have already assembled a few other disorder, corruption, curse gods in my journey. Some, well, you could say they wouldn't cooperate. With our number, we would invade those who wouldn't join us. Earth and Falmart will also be ours if we work together. So, what do you say?
As he offered her his hand for a handshake, he immediately shapeshifted into his real form. His appearance now has horns on his head with fire, four demonic wings, and lizard tail. It was a lot hideous than his angelic form. Izanami thought for a while. Joining him means that she can leave Yomi, torture her husband, and do whatever she wants with mortal souls once they conquered Earth and Falmart. It was a good deal and he was very persuasive. It was three birds with one stone. Finally, she decided her choice.
Izanami: Very well, I'll join you. But put away your hand, I don't want to be touch.
Lucifer: Then it is settled.
Before she could realized, she felt pain in her chest and knelt. She screamed as she hold her chest. Her ghost servants tried to help her up, but she refused to have any help. After a moment of tortured, she began to feel relieved. She shot a glare at the Deceiver with an anger look.
Izanami: What was that!? What did you do to me!?
Lucifer: Relax, that was just a process of me the fruit that you ate with your soul. Now, you can move freely by leaving Yomi, or return to it. But there's a catch, should you break our deal, you will be sent back to Yomi with no power, or worse.
Feeling enraged that she has been trick, she has no choice but to complied. Lucifer then opened up a portal to his hell and gesture her to follow.
Lucifer: Shall we get moving, milady?
She stood up and crossed her arms. She clicked her tongue, still mad at the fact that she has been decieved. Of course, the name was pretty obvious if she could've just ask if there was a catch. The two soon entered the portal, and was greeted with the other chaotic deities, assembled in the Serpent's castle.
In the course of days, they have invaded multiple demonic realms with their sheer numbers. Some invaded hells were either got killed, captured, and betrayed by joining the winning side. Those who were killed got resurrected and immediately captured by the invading forces. Some rulers of the invaded hell had to retreat to the Gods city in Falmart. This battle was known as Hell Civil War.
Meanwhile, in Makai...
A red-haired Greek hell goddesswerefighting five hordes of demon as she flew away. The goddess was Hecatia. She summoned and shot her energized bullets at the enemy while dodging their attack.
It successfully hit one of them, but the rest were durable enough to withstand her attack. When the invaders came, she, Junko, and Clownpiece had to fight their way out by flying. They were about to go to the shelter in Falmart, but Hecatia was tackled by the invader's demon. She ordered the two to go without her. As she was being grabbed by the demon, she teleported to a nearby world, and that was Makai. The two fell fast to the ground. Before they could hit the surface, Hecatia turned her body away from hitting the ground and used the demon as a cushion. They crash landed, letting the demonreleasedHecatia before she flew up and fired her bullets at it, killing it instantly with huge explosion.
She watched where the demon died. It wasn't long until another one came which she forced to fly away within Makai. Now here she is, trying to outspeed the demons.
Meanwhile, on the other side of Makai...
?: Gaghhh!
A girl was thrown to the ground. She's badly injured as if she was fighting something, or someone. She has light-blue eyes, long white hair that reaches to her shoulders with a ponytail on the left side of her head that's tied by two double red hair beads, and six purple demonic wings with red markings. She wears a red capelet with a black ribbon attached, a red dress with long sleeves that are slightly puffy and skirt with some white frills underneath the skirt and sleeves, and black ankle-length boots as footwear. The girl was Shinki, God of Makai, and formerly a fallen angel.
She looked at her two opponent who is floating above her with a dissapointed look. It was the Lucifer, her brother. Besides him was Sariel, the former Angel of Death. She has a white knee-length hair with seemingly blue eyes. She wears a long, simple blue dress with long white sleeves and six angel wings and hold a strange wand. Unlike Lucifer in his demonic form, she stayed in her female human form.
Shinki: Why?... Why did you come here again?
She struggled, but managed to stand up to her feet. When the invasion started, almost of her creations betrayed her. She was familiar with those betrayal. She knows it because she also did the same thing from "that" incident. She had ordered her maid, Yumeko and the rest of her house to retreat somewhere safe. They hesitated to leave her behind, but she insisted them, telling them that she will buy them some time. In heartbroken, they obeyed her order. Now, she was all alone, fighting her siblings.
Lucifer: Why? Because you refused an offer I gave you. If you accepted it, you wouldn't be injured by now.
Shinki: Like hell I would! Like the time when you started a rebellion against Father? I have regretted joining you before. No more.
Rage ignited within the former rebel fallen angel girl, not hearing another sweet promises again. She looked at Sariel who was hovering with her arm crossed.
Shinki: Why are you helping him?
Sariel: Me? Helping him?
She swooped down towards Shinki. With a loud crash, she stomped her foot on Shinki's chest. She groaned in pain and tried to remove the foot but couldn't. She tiredlessly lay down on the ground after fighting against these two.
Sariel: You've imprisoned me for almost 20 years! How could I forgive you!?
She increased the pressure on Shinki's chest. She could've die if she wasn't stalling time.
Shinki: *Groan*... I just... I... Sariel, I'm sorry... That was a bad idea... I was trying to give you some time to realize for what you have done...
Sariel: By sealing me? You could've just talk!
She raised her foot and stomp on her chest again, wailing in pain.
Sariel: ... It is nice knowing you, Shinki. Once you're revived, you will be in our prison.
Shinki: Sariel... Wait...
Sariel raised her wand staff and ready to stab Shinki on the head. She could only watch for the impending doom... Then, before Sariel could finish her, Lucifer called out to her.
Lucifer: Sariel, move!
She stopped and looked in front her. Her eyes widen when ten enegized bullets hit her, making her thrown away from the impact. It temporarily stunned her before she flew back up. Shinki struggled lifting her body and looked behind her. It was none other than Hecatia. She looks tired and panting from the chase. Her clotches were battered and her three orbs were almost broken.
Hecatia:*pant* *Pant*I knew I would find someone here.
Shinki: Y-you're...
Hecatia: Yes, it's me, the asshole who previously tried to take Makai.
She flew towards the injured Shinki and helped her stand up.
Shinki: We need to get out of here. Where have you been?
Hecatia: I was chase by hordes of demon, what do you think?
Shinki: Can you do it? Can you get us out of here?
Hecatia went silent. Shinki was confused from the looks of the hell goddess face.
Hecatia: ... Five minutes.
Shinki: Five minutes!? Five minutes what? Your cooldown? We wouldn't survived for another minutes!
She yelled in frustration. It was a relief at first, but now it instantly destroyed her hope.
Hecatia: Just let me think, okay!?
Sariel: Die!
The two stared at the Deceiver as they saw he and Sariel charged up their energized blast attack from their hand. The attack was released, traveling at high speed towards the two girls. They didn't have time to dodge. The only thing they could do is endured the impact... Suddenly, massive pillar of light shines down to the ground. The attack made contact to the light and was soon redirected to the senders. They barely dodged their own attacks as it exploded elsewhere.
The pillar dimmed down, revealing a male figure clad in white and gold shining armor. He has blonde hair, brown eyes, two majestic large white feathered wings, and carried a flamming sword. Everyone felt the amount aura from a single being. Sariel, Lucifer, and Shinki knows who he was. The one who saved the Goddess of Hell and Creator of Makai was the Commander-in-Chief of the angels himself, Michael the Archangel.
Michael: You will never lay a hand on them, Satan!
Shinki: M-Michael?
His arrival was unexpected for Shinki. It was hard to believe that he made his way to come down to Makai just to saved them. She then heard Michael adressing both Hecatia and her without looking behind.
Michael: Shinki, Hecatia, grab onto me, now!
Lucifer/Sariel: Michael!
The two fallen angels yelled and ordered every infernals to attack the Archangel. They began to move on their way to the location. But the girls, having their only chance to escape, grabbed onto Michael before he teleported them in bright light. It also caused shockwave which blown the enemy away. The two fallen angels cursed that they lost their target. They soon let it slide because now they have taken Makai as their new territory.
Location: Hidden barrier in Western Desert, Falmart
The three have arrived in the city in front of the HQ. There were few refugees who did not join the invader's side. Medical deities were everywhere, treating the wounds who had escaped. Hecatia let go her hand from Michael when she saw Clownpiece and Junko with the Gap youkai. She left both Michael and Shinki as she ran to her group.
It left Shinki insecured around her angelic brother. She remembered her time during the rebellion against God. That time, she did fight her fellow siblings, but she hesitated. She held back her power and soon realized it was meaningless and fled the battle. She had betrayed her God, and betrayed the betrayers. She took refuge on Earth to hide from the army of God, thinking she was safe, but it was short days before her other brother, Gabriel, was sent to visit her.
She didn't run away, instead she surrenders herself. There was no place for her to hide. But her brother just gave a news that her punishment was simply exiled her on Earth, not the abyys. Her sentence were lessened and her brother returned to Heaven. She was very fortunate that she fled the battle. But it doesn't stop her anxiety.
Michael: Shinki...
She flinched when she heard her brother. She trembled as she looked at him. He is fairly tall and she had to look up.
Shinki: Y-Yes?
As soon as she said that, another angel appeared besides them. It was a male angel like Michael. He wears a doctor clothes with his white wings still visible from the back. He has brown hair and brown eyes. It was Raphael the Archangel of God's protection and healing. Shinki's courage sank after her other brother made a sudden appearance. She wanted to faint, but knows it would be rude to do so.
Michael: Raphael will heal your wound. Go with him.
Answered Michael as Raphael gestured his hand to follow him. She knows they didn't mean harm, but it still frightens her. She reluctant followed him behind to the HQ. Once inside, she felt concern, concerned why they treated her like she was welcomed.
Shinki: Why do you intend to heal me?
Raphael: Because you're injured.
Shinki: Yes, I get that, but why? I betrayed you.
Raphael: And yet, you betrayed the betrayals and fled away. Did you do something wrong during your time on Earth?
Shinki: ... One time, yes... Or maybe a couple of more, I think?
Raphael: Have you ever harm any human?
Shinki: ... In self-defence, yes. But causing world destruction, no. I usually keep an eye on my creations.
Raphael: Has your creations betrayed you?
Shinki: I don't want to talk about it.
They entered the infirmary room where Raphael would check up on her. There were obviously a lot of injured patients with medical deities helping them. The HQ were also function as a hospital. Basically, the whole thing was a multifunctional single Headquarter. She sat down on her medical bed as Raphael used his power.
Shinki: ... Where's Yumeko and the others?
Raphael: Gabriel said they are in Hakurei Shrine. They are safe there.
Shinki remained silent. A small warm smile appeared on her face. She was glad that they are safe place. As she was in the middle of recovery, someone entered the infirmary room and greeted them.
?: Raphael, how is she doing?
Raphael turned his head and saw the person.
Raphael: She's doing great, my Lord.
Her smile dropped when seeing the person's appearance in front of her. Fear began to crawled on her back, and weight of guilt burdened on her shoulders. The word "Lord" came to her senses, The capital "L". The one who she once betrayed not just her Father, but other two members. God the Son, Jesus, was checking her condition.
Shinki(Mind): HIIIYYAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!
She screamed internally having to see her Boss once more. Though, even without an external scream, He read her mind and not bothered with it.
