Chapter 20
(Arena)
It was the next day and Naruto, Misty, Serena and May were sitting in their seats in the arena, as the match was about to start.
"So, did Will say what her plan was for Paul?" Misty asked Naruto curiously
"Well, after looking up his battle records, he's actually a really good trainer from what I have seen. Plus, he likes to rotate his Pokemon a lot, so predicting what he's going to use will be hard, even for Will" Naruto said, as they watched as the arena switched to a fire theme.
["This is bull crap! Why does she get the good opponent, while we had to fight the one with a glass jaw?!"] Kurama yelled loudly, as the crowd started to cheer in excitement for the upcoming match.
"Oh, go back to your food," Naruto said, as he shoved Kurama's head into a bag of popcorn.
As this was happening, the announcer arrived at the podium.
"\Welcome to today's match, here at the Fire Arena! We have a fantastic match for you all today. In this corner, we have a talented up and coming trainer from the Sinnoh region, please welcome Paul!\" the announcer said, getting cheers from the audience, as Paul came out at his end of the battlefield.
"The guy definitely has an attitude that makes you want to cheer for him" May said with heavy sarcasm in her words, as Paul didn't react to the crowd, as he kept his eyes on the entrance, where his opponent would come out.
"\And in this corner! We have the granddaughter of Professor Oak! It's Wilma Oak -\" the announcer was saying, before being cut off.
"I said to call me Will! That's strike two! The next one of you announcers to call me that, gets a Thunderbolt where the sun doesn't shine!" Will yelled, as she came out with Pikachu on her shoulder.
["She's not kidding, she will do it"] Pikachu said with a nod, as he patted Will on the head to calm her down, as he knew she would make the order to him, if she was pressed.
"I was hoping to face Ketchum first, but hopefully, you're an opponent worth my time," Paul said with a scoff at Will, as she didn't impress him at all.
"You're asking for a beat down, pretty boy" Will said with an annoyed look, as she glared at Paul.
"Big words, for someone who let her boyfriend do all the fighting back at New Island" Paul said, as he looked at Will with a scoff.
"That's it! Start the match already, so that I can show him what I'm made of!" Will yelled, as she took out a ball that was gold plated.
"Oh jeez, she's starting with him straight away" Serena said with a groan at seeing the Pokeball Will grabbed.
"Normally, I would say that she's being a hot head, but he's got this coming" Misty said, as she shrugged.
"The first match will now begin! Choose your Pokemon!" the referee said, as he approached the two trainers, who both threw their Pokeballs.
When Paul's opened, it let out what looked like a large humanoid Pokemon, who had two black tails with red on the tips and was covered in yellow fur with black stripes.
And when Will's yellow plated Pokeball opened, a big storm started to form in the sky, as Zapdos came out and cried out, as it let loose some electricity.
This got some excited cheers and shouts from the crowd at seeing the legendary bird Pokemon.
"\Well well, it would seem that Miss Oak has one of the Legendary Bird Pokemon and it seems to be ready to take on a fellow Electric Type\" the announcer said, as Zapdos glared at Paul's Pokemon, as it landed on the ground.
"Woah, what kind of Pokemon is Paul using?" Serena asked, as she looked at Naruto.
Naruto took out his Pokedex and after a moment, it showed an image of the Pokemon that Paul was using. "\Electivire, the Electric Pokemon and the evolved form of Electabuzz. This Pokemon can only evolve when traded with someone, while holding an Electirizer as an Electabuzz. It pushes the tips of its two tails against the foe, then lets loose with over 20,000 volts of power\" the Pokedex said.
["That species that Scyther has a rivalry with can evolve? Remind me to tell him he's not special later"] Kurama said with a snicker at this, before he went back to his food.
"Let the match begin!" the referee said, as he held up his arm, starting the match.
'Will's Zapdos vs Paul's Electivire: FIGHT!'
"OK Zapdos, let's start with a Drill Pec -" Will was saying, before in a burst of speed, Electivire appeared in front of Zapdos and slammed his fist into his face, sending him into the dirt.
"\And Electivire starts the match with a combination of Extreme Speed and Mega Punch to send Zapdos into the dirt!\" the announcer yelled.
"Like I said Oak, a Legendary Pokemon doesn't mean anything, if the trainer is pathetic" Paul said with a firm tone, as he lightly smirked, while his Electivire slammed its fists together, ready to continue the fight.
Will growled at this, as she glared back at Paul.
"Don't be a hot head, Will!" Misty yelled out.
"You have this!" May yelled out loudly.
"You have come too far to lose!" Serena yelled.
["Yeah, don't let that fuck wad get to you! You have taken worse insults from me and kept focus!"] Kurama yelled.
Will looked at her friends and saw Naruto giving her a smile and a thumbs up of encouragement, before she nodded and looked at Zapdos, who was back on his feet. "Are you ready to try this again, Zapdos?" she asked.
["Round two, asshole"] Zapdos said as he glared at his opponent, as he charged some electricity around his body.
"Don't think an electrical attack will help you" Paul said, as Electivire smirked at the Bird Pokemon.
"Show him how an expert uses Extreme Speed" Will said with a grin.
Zapdos smirked at this, before he was gone in a flash of yellow light.
"What?!" Paul asked in shock, as he and Electivire looked around in the sky for the Legendary Bird Pokemon.
Before in a flash of yellow light, Zapdos appeared in the sky above them, charging downwards towards them.
"Brave Bird!" Will yelled, as she pointed at Electivire
Zapdos gave a cry, as he was covered in yellow flames.
"Meet the attack with a Dynamic Punch!" Paul yelled, as he glared at the incoming Bird Pokemon.
Electivire charged a punch and threw it at Zapdos, the attack clashing with the Bird Pokemon's own attack, which resulted in a big explosion going off, causing the arena to fill with dust.
The arena of people went silent, as they waited for the kicked up dust to clear, so they would see the result of the two Pokemon clashing.
And when the dust cleared, it showed that both Zapdos and Electivire were on the ground, both with swirls in their eyes.
"\Amazing! It looks like the clash between these two Pokemon has ended in a draw!\" the announcer said, as the referee looked at them and gave the signal, signaling that it was indeed a draw.
'Will's Zapdos vs Paul's Electivire: Fight Over. Ended in a draw'
"You did good buddy, take a nice long rest" Will said, as she approached Zapdos and pet him a bit, as she held out his Pokeball, before returning him.
"Feh," Paul said with a scoff, before he returned his pokemon to his pokeball
"\And now, will the trainers choose their next Pokemon\" the announcer yelled out.
Paul threw out his Pokeball and let out what looked like a large bear, with a yellow circle on his chest.
Will's Pokeball hit the ground and let out Nidoqueen, who roared loudly, ready to fight.
"That is one strong looking Ursaring," Naruto said, as he could tell that Paul's Ursaring was very well trained.
"You think that Nidoqueen can handle it?" Serena asked, as she frowned a bit.
["Oh, please. She spars with that tomboy fairy and survives. She can easily handle a bear with a bad attitude"] Kurama said as he scoffed, referring to how Will's Nidoqueen regularly sparred with Clefable, so it was used to physically strong opponents.
"Ursaring normally has high stamina and can hit hard with very powerful attacks, so if Will and Nidoqueen can fight smart, then they have a chance" Naruto said with a firm tone, as he nodded at this.
"Let the second match up begin!" the referee yelled, as he held up his arm, starting the match.
'Will's Nidoqueen vs Paul's Ursaring: FIGHT!'
"Let's start with Bulk Up and then start attacking with Ancient Power" Paul said with a firm tone.
Ursaring roared loudly, as he started to glow, as he powered up, before the ground started to glow and rocks started to fly at Nidoqueen.
"Avoid it as much as you can, while trying to strike back with Toxic!" Will yelled at her Pokemon.
Nidoqueen started to jump around to avoid the rocks and got ready to fire her Toxic attack. But before she could, the ground underneath her started to crack, after the rocks from Ursaring's attack hit it and lava started to come out from the cracks and when the lava hit her feet, she yelled in pain, before she stumbled forward and fell to one knee.
"Heh, got you. Hit it with a Hammer Arm" Paul said with a confident grin.
Ursaring roared at this, as he charged at Nidoqueen and started to pummel her with his paws
"That's a dirty trick!" Will yelled out, realizing what Paul had done, by using an earth attack to make the ground in the Fire Arena less stable, so it would be more dangerous.
"It's not my fault you didn't consider using the field to your advantage. Finish it with a Hyper Beam" Paul said, as he pointed at Nidoqueen.
Ursaring gave a loud roar, as he opened his mouth wide, charging a yellow beam inside it, before blasting it at Nidoqueen.
Nidoqueen took the blast to the chest and was sent flying and was about to land in the lava nearby.
"Nidoqueen!" Will yelled, as she quickly returned her knocked out Pokemon, before she could be seriously hurt.
"This round is over. The round goes to Paul's Ursaring" the referee said, as he held out his arm to Paul's side.
'Will's Nidoqueen vs Paul's Ursaring: Fight Over. Winner: Paul's Ursaring'
"\It looks like Paul is quite a tactician, though I don't think some of the people here are happy\" the announcer said, as people in the stands started to boo and jeer at Paul.
"You're fighting dirty!" May yelled loudly at Paul.
"I would take you seriously, if you were a trainer with enough talent to actually battle here and not waste your time galavanting with those contests" Paul said with a scoff at May.
Will narrowed her eyes at this, as she was reaching her limit with Paul.
"Choose your next Pokemon already. I'm getting bored" Paul said, as he crossed his arms.
"THAT'S IT!" Will yelled out, as she took out a Pokeball, which was pink on the top instead of red.
"Naruto, is that?" Serena asked Naruto curiously.
"Yeah, it looks like Will wants to go all out on him," Naruto said with a sigh.
"Well, should we prepare an ambulance?" Misty asked
"I'm more worried about the press reaction," Naruto said with a shake of his head.
["Screw the press. Do it red!"] Kurama yelled loudly.
Will threw her Pokeball into the air, which released…..
["Hi everyone!"] Mew yelled out, as she flew out of the ball and flew around a bit and waved at the crowd.
The entire arena was so silent, that you could have heard a pin drop, as everyone had their jaws on the ground at this reveal.
"\W-w-what?\" the announcer stuttered out, his eyes wide in shock at what he was seeing.
["Eh? Did I greet everyone wrong?"] Mew asked, as she looked around curiously, as she didn't expect everyone to be so quiet.
"Wait for it," Will said with a grin.
Suddenly, everyone was cheering loudly and in excitement.
This caused Mew to hide behind Will, as she didn't expect this loud a response
"\This is incredible! Miss Oak is using the Legendary Pokemon Mew!\" the announcer yelled, as the press started to take pictures, as Mew poked her head from behind Will, before she flew out and waved at everyone.
"So, does this mean that you'll be using 'him' in your next match?" May asked Naruto with a raised eyebrow.
["Oh please, he's not a hot head"] Kurama said with a scoff.
"Oi, I heard that!" Will yelled at Kurama.
["I didn't say you were wrong! Now, make that punk suffer!"] Kurama yelled.
"Feh, such a waste. A Legendary Pokemon and it can't focus on the upcoming fight" Paul said with a scoff at this, as the referee approached to start the match.
Will's eyes narrowed at this, as she clenched her fists, before she smirked. "Hey Mew, you want to know the dirty trick he pulled on Nidoqueen?" she asked with a grin.
Mew tilted her head at this, before she read Will's mind causing her eyes to widen, before her eyes narrowed and her body was covered with a pink light.
"Match begin!" the referee yelled out.
'Will's Mew vs Paul's Ursaring: FIGHT!'
"Ursaring, start with Slash -" Paul was saying, before he was cut off.
Before Ursaring roared in pain, as Mew's tail smashed into his face like a whip, sending some fangs flying, before a blast of white light slammed into him and sent him flying into the arena wall, sending him through it and making a large hole.
This got looks of shock from everyone in the stadium.
["You fight dirty, I fight back even dirtier"] Mew said with a glare at Paul, as she floated in the middle of the arena, as a psychic aura covered the Legendary Pokemon, as it roared at Paul.
'Will's Mew vs Paul's Ursaring: Fight Over. Winner: Will's Mew'
Paul started to sweat at this, as he hesitated at grabbing at his last Pokeball.
"Scared now?" Will asked, as she lightly smirked seeing Paul's reaction.
"You don't know anything! This isn't your strength! It's hers!" Paul yelled at Will, obviously upset.
"Hmm, that's an interesting theory. It would have some weight to it, if this wasn't Mew's first fight" Will said with a scoff.
This got shocked silence from the entire arena.
"Yeah. Turns out, Mew is a lover, not a fighter. But she will fight if it's against bullies. Oh, guess what, that means you asshole" Will said, as Mew floated at her side.
Paul scowled at this, as he grabbed his final Pokeball and threw it, letting out what looked like a large, vaguely humanoid, red-and-yellow-striped Pokemon, with what looked like yellow, tubular arms with a black 'band' on both and three small claws on the black part of each 'hand'.
["Woah. Magmar got into the poke treats hard"] Kurama said, as he whistled at this.
Naruto snorted at this, as he held out his Pokedex and scanned the new Pokemon. "\Magmortar, the Fire Pokemon and the evolved form of Magmar. It can blast fireballs of up to 3,600 F from the ends of its arms and it lives in volcanic craters\" Naruto's Pokedex said.
"Great, a very powerful Fire Type in an arena that it will excel in" May said with a scowl.
"I'm sure that Will and Mew have this" Misty said, as Serena nodded in agreement at this.
"Let the final match begin!" the referee yelled out.
'Will's Mew vs Paul's Magmortar: FIGHT!'
"Magmortor, use Lava Plume!" Paul yelled, as he pointed at Mew.
Magmortar cried out loudly, as the ground below it started to crack, before he started to fire blasts of lava at Mew.
"Teleport" Will said with a simple tone of voice.
Mew smiled at this, as she started to teleport around the arena rapidly, avoiding the plumes of lava before any of it could hit her.
["Come on! You almost singed me with that one!"] Mew yelled with a giggle, as it teleported away.
"Take this seriously! This is a battle, not a game!" Paul yelled angrily, while Magmortar also yelled in frustration.
"Oh, so you want us to take you seriously? Fine then. Mew, use Blizzard" Will said, as she held out her hand.
Mew soon started to glow an icy blue aura, before she started to spin and soon, what looked like a massive blizzard started to fill the arena.
And just as soon as it started, the storm ended and what was once a lava and fire filled arena, was now completely frozen over, along with Magmortor, who was slowly thawing itself out.
"\Incredible! Will's Mew easily froze over the entire arena!\" the announcer yelled, as the crowd started to cheer at this.
"Magmortor, use Blast Bur -" Paul was yelling, before he was cut off, as Mew appeared in front of Magmortar, just as he freed himself from the ice and trapped him in her psychic hold.
"Psychic" Will said with a grin, as she crossed her arms.
Mew narrowed her eyes at this, as she lifted the Pokemon into the air and started to slam the Fire Pokemon repeatedly onto the ice, cracking it more and more with each slam.
"Ok, I think we can wrap this up now" Will said with a grin, seeing that Magmortar was knocked out.
Mew nodded at this, before she threw the knocked out Pokemon at Paul's feet.
"\It's over! The winner is Will Oak!\" the announcer yelled loudly, as the crowd cheered just loudly.
'Will's Mew vs Paul's Magmortar: Fight Over. Winner: Will's Mew'
Will smiled at this, as she waved at the crowd along with Mew.
Naruto and the rest of his group smiled at this, as they let their friend bask in her victory
Paul meanwhile returned his Pokemon, as he lightly glared at Will, before he made his way out of the arena.

(Later outside the arena)
Outside the arena, Naruto and the others were waiting for Will to get out of the stadium, so that they could all go get lunch.
"Wow, there are a lot of people wanting to interview Will," Srena said in amazement, as she noticed some people with cameras and microphones.
"Well, it makes sense, seeing as she used a Legendary Pokemon in an official match" Naruto said with a shrug.
"While we wait for Will, do you have any idea who your match is for today?" May asked, as she looked at Naruto.
Naruto took out his Pokenav and after looking through his messages, he saw that he had gotten a message and after tapping on the message, he blinked in surprise.
"Well, who is it?" Misty asked as she approached Naruto, while Kurama looked at his Pokenav.
["That Janet chick? Ha! I can take out her whole team easily!"] Kurama yelled with a laugh.
"You take on a Gyarados? Please" Naruto said with a scoff, as he showed his Pokenav to the others.
Kurama growled at this, while spitting some fire at this, as he was not one to avoid a challenge.
P.O.M and Kfbanime87 were sat in their office relaxing, when, just like a bad disease that won't go away
Oi! That's very offensive! Deadpool yelled, as he barged into the office
What is it, Wade? Kfbanime87 asked, as he ate his slice of pizza, before drinking some of his soda
Oh, I had a question that I wanted you to answer: Deadpool said
Well, go on then, ask away: P.O.M said, as he finished off his slice of pizza, then he drank some of his soda, before helping himself to some garlic bread
Are you going to continue with this fanfic, or are you going to finish it off? And if it's going to be finished, have you already chosen your next choice? Deadpool asked

Wait, what?! Hang on, what's Look Back? P.O.M was yelling, before he raised an eyebrow at this

Oh jeez, is it a gore fest? P.O.M asked
Oh God no. It's my animated movie of last year and yes, I'm including all animated films from last year, including the Wild Robot and Spy X Family! Kfbanime87 yelled
Woah, is that good? P.O.M asked in amazement
It got him crying like a bitch - oh my spleen! Deadpool was saying, before a knife was thrown at him, hitting him in the chest area
Oi, you were crying too, asshole! Kfbanime87 yelled, as he took out more throwing knives
