Hello again everyone.

Welcome back to 'The Daughter of Damon Salvatore' series.

Firstly, I want to give a massive thank you to everyone who is still following, liking, and commenting on this series. I know, I know…I have taken absolutely ages to get to the second part of Jessica and Damon's story, I have been extremely busy over the last year.

I started a new job and went through some serious training which took up every spare moment I had. I also moved into my own place for the very first time, I am officially a homeowner! I've worked really hard over the last fifteen years and have saved every penny possible to be able to afford my own place, completely by myself. To not have to rely financially on family, friends, loans, or other roommates, is (I feel) an extremely rare situation in today's modern world. I feel very lucky to have been able to do this, and this is something I am definitely proud of the most. This is my biggest accomplishment to date.

Therefore, the last year has been purely dedicated to packing, organising, dealing with estate agents, mortgages, contracts, moving, decorating, building furniture, and unboxing all my belongings. I have been dedicated to building a home, my home. I did not want to begin the second part of this story whilst my time and my brain were completely focussed elsewhere. I love this story too much to be that flippant with it, and I wanted to wait until I was in a calm and relaxed headspace again so that I could enjoy diving back into this with you.

However, now that everything has settled again in my personal life, I am back! I am ready to deliver what everyone has been waiting for. So again, thank you to everyone of you who has been patient with me and not given up on me or this series. I have had a few messages from you, and you have all been so supportive of me. I hope you enjoy this next part, just as much as I had writing it. I hope it was worth the wait.
