Bella goes to College and graduates Medical school. But Edward leaves her. She returns to Forks and stays with Charlie till she can find a place of her own. But when she sees Carlisle, Alice, Jasper, Rosalie and Emmett are still there, she is overjoyed. She confesses her feelings for Carlisle, and they start a relationship, and all seems well with the world. She has a home and a family, but what new challenges will wait for them?

I walked up to the house, that was my ex boyfriends. I sighed, sitting on the porch. "Bella." A smooth voice said as I looked up. "Carlisle? I thought... What are... What are you doing here...?" I asked. "Only Edward, and Esme left..." I looked to him. "I'm so sorry..." Carlisle sat easily beside me, and said "Things haven't been great, Esme was cheating on me with her true soulmate, which the whole situation, is just bad..." I nodded. "Carlisle... I need to talk to you about something." I was 24, now Edward left me right when I started my medical journey. I couldn't believe it, everyone believed Edward and I married, but in reality it never happened. I moved back to Forks and took a job as a doctor at the hospital, hoping I'd see my true love. "What's wrong? You can tell me anything, you feel the need to. No judgement." I looked to him sweetly.
"I love you. I always have. I never loved Edward as I do you." Carlisle looked me in the eye and said "Bella... I..." I said "No don't worry... I'm fine..." I said pulling myself away and standing up, only for him to grab my hand, pull me close and kiss me square on the mouth, his kiss was so much different than Edwards. I melted right in, wrapping my arms around his neck, his arms securely around my waist. When he pulled back, his arms still encased my waist. "I love you too, Bella. But..." Our eyes met, for a moment, before he said "We can... Oh what the hell. I want you. I want you more than I've ever wanted anybody." I moved closer to him. "I want you too. More than I ever imagined." Just then my phone rang. I moved back in with Charlie, when I returned. "Hey dad." I said into the phone. "Yeah. I'm fine. I promise... Just went for a walk in the park. I'll be home in 20." I hung up and said "I have to go." "Leave your window open tonight." I smirked. "I will." After another quick kiss, II left returning back to Charlie's.
"Bella, I know you're hurting since Edward left you..." Of all days for Charlie to be this involved, is the day I didn't want it. "Dad just shut up! This has nothing to do with Edward." "Then what's this about?!" He demanded. I turned to him and said "That is none of your business." "You're living under my roof! Of course it's my business!" I glared. "I only moved back in, because I'm still trying to find a place for me!" I stormed upstairs, my suitcase, still fully packed, sitting beside the door. I just got back in town this morning. When Edward left he gave me half of the money he legally had, which was about 15,000,000. I grabbed the suitcase, and my things from the bathroom, before grabbing my bag and walking out to my car, the one Edward gave me when he left. I threw all the bags in the back seat and drove off, although I didn't make it too far before I had to pull over and broke down. I heard the door open and shut before I heard Carlisle's voice say my name. "Bella... Sweetheart... Are you alright?" I looked to him and said "No. I'm sorry..." Carlisle frowned and said "Do you want to talk about it?" "No... I honestly want to go home... But I don't have a home anymore, so I don't know what to do!" Carlisle frowned and said "Drive to our house. You will be staying there." I looked to him in awe, as he dried my tears. "Or if you'd rather, Switch spots with me and I'll drive. Honestly with the way you look right now, I'd feel better with me driving." I nodded as we got out and switch spots. He drove to the house, while I cried almost the entire way.
"I don't know what Charlie did or said, but if it's that bad... I would like for you to tell me." I sniffled while he parked right next to his before I told him everything. "Oh Sweetheart..." Carlisle said, reaching over to dry my tears. "It doesn't matter now..." "Sweetheart, that's not true... Look at me." I turned to look at him as he continued "It does matter. Charlie was being way to overprotective, and frankly, my darling he was really trying to pry into your life, and I don't like that, not at all. Just because you were going to stay with him till you were able to find a place, doesn't give him the right to know every little detail about your life. It could've been just concern, from a fatherly perspective, but I don't really think so... Sure I'll try and get information from the others, but I'd never do it the way Charlie did, make it seem like I'm entitled to know every little detail." I sniffled as he said "Hang on." Before I knew it he was out of the car and at my side, opening the door and helped me out, before he pulled me to his chest, holding me as tightly as he could without breaking me.
"Thank you." I whispered. He smiled kissing my head. "Of course sweetie. Now how about we go in and you can get something to eat, and then we can do whatever you want." I smiled and said "Sounds heavenly. Wait, What about my bags?" "We'll get them for you!" Emmett and Jasper's voice's stated as they came over. "Thank you." I said, as Carlisle wrapped his arm around my waist, as we headed in. "What are you hungry for?" "Honestly... Hamburger's and hot dogs." Carlisle smiled and said "I'll go and pick it up for you, since we don't have much food. Will you be okay?" I nodded, and sat with Alice on the couch putting on a movie. When Carlisle returned I ate quietly, smiling wide. "Thank you." I snuggled close, to him as we finished the movie. We went up to the bedroom. I laid on the bed, after we were romantically involved. I cuddled into his arms, relaxing. "MMMM." "Sleep now my sweet." Carlisle whispered as fell asleep.
In the morning, I woke looking around the room. "Carlisle?" I called into the seemingly empty room. "Yeah, no totally, I understand. Me and Dr. Cullen will be there in 30. Bye.." He hung up coming over to me. "Hey, quickly get ready, darling. We have to be at the ER in 30." I quickly got up and dressed. "How do I look?" I said twirling. "So beautiful, stunning." We went to his car and got in. He drove to the hospital, squeezing my hand. "Hey Carlisle? I hate to ask, but can you slow down just a tad? I'm starting to feel a little nauseous." He parked and said "Well I have you shadowing one of my co-workers, Andrew Jenkins, He's one of the best, right under me, and he'll take good care of me but if you need me, sit behind the nurses desk, and have one of them page me, and I'll come over. Code word could be Code Strawberry." I smiled and said "Thanks." "Of course." We went to his office, and got ready for the shift.
We went to the nurse's desk, and Carlisle said "I'd like to introduce, the newest member of staff, Dr. Bella Cullen." They all welcomed me, commenting on the name. "Yes, she is my wife." Carlisle said, proudly. I grinned, before Carlisle explained a little more, to the staff about what Code Strawberry means, and what to do if there was a page for code Strawberry. We went to work the shift, but I got weak and dizzy. "Dr. Cullen? Are you alright?" Jackie, one of our nurses, said as she came over, as I dropped to the ground. "Call a code Strawberry." I moaned, as Jackie said "Jenna! Page Carlisle Code Strawberry! Someone get me a stretcher or wheelchair!" I was weak, as Jackie helped me up with one of the male doctors, helped me into a wheelchair and into a treatment bay. "Bella, we need to draw labs, and run a bunch of tests while we wait for Carlisle... Is that okay?" I nodded, weakly. "Is there any chance you can be pregnant?" I said "I don't know... I just feel terrible... I..." "We know, Dr. Cullen... I'm going to get started on this, while we wait for Carlisle." I nodded, while the nurse got what they needed, and put me on monitor's.
"Hey I'm here, Alex. What's going on?" Carlisle's smooth voice asked, as he entered the room, looking to me. "Hey sweetie." he whispered kissing my head, sitting beside me. "All her tests are coming back, as normal... Except her pregnancy..." I looked to Carlisle, as Alex said "Have you eaten anything?" I ducked my head, as Carlisle said "We were in a rush..." "I was too nauseous this morning..." "It's alright sweetheart..." Carlisle whispered, sitting gently on the bed, beside me. "Well I think she does need to eat something... Because her blood sugar is low." Alex continued. "Wait why is that such a concern?" Carlisle asked. Alex said "Well... She's got a bad stomach bug." I looked to Carlisle. "Okay... Umm Thank you. When can I take her home?" "Not for a few hours, and certainly not before she eats..." Carlisle looked to me, and said "rest now my love, I'll come check on you through out the day..." I said "Actually... can... can... you stay with me?" He said "I can for a few minutes, but I do have to go see to the patients." Alex stepped out as I said "how is this possible? I thought..." Carlisle said "I don't understand it either, But I will do some research when we get home tonight." I smiled a little. "Thanks... Can you cover my patients too? I have one in 2, 3, and 4..." "Sure, sweetie. You just rest. I'll come check on you soon."
I spent the entire day on the cot, with Carlisle checking in. "Alright, Thanks. Jackie, can you please unhook her please?" Jackie unhooked me, while Carlisle helped me to my feet. "Let's go home." We... Okay well I, ate lunch, earlier. We walked to the car, and I got in, which he got in as well. "Hey just so you know, before we get home... Alice can't see either of our futures..." "I figured..." he whispered. "What do you want to eat for dinner?" "MM... Honestly, I want Spaghetti and Meatballs." " Well, then lets go get some." He drove to an Italian restaurant, and I ate.
He paid, before we left and went home. When we arrived Alice was waiting. "We need to talk. Now." Carlisle and I sat on the couch. "What's up, Alice?" Carlisle asked. "Well... I'm not even sure how it's possible... But Bella you're going to get pregnant..."It'll be half human, half Vampire... and it will grow very quickly. We'll be able to tell in a few days for sure." Carlisle looked to me, and said "This does mean we'll have to change you immediately, after you give birth, and most likely will need to be a home birth... Are you Okay with that?" I said "Yes. Alice, There isn't... There isn't a chance if Edward came back he'd be deluded enough to think the baby is his right?" "He would think it was his. But I'm watching his decisions, You and the family will be safe." I smiled a little and hugged her.
After, Carlisle and I went to our room and he said "You are going to be just fine, I promise. I will do everything in my power to ensure that." I nodded. "I trust you." I quickly changed as he did too. "I'll get some blood for you, just in case the baby craves blood... I'll lay some human and animal blood aside. We can try animal blood, but if you get sick... We'll have to switch to human blood... Would you be okay with that?" I said "I just want our baby to be healthy and happy... No matter the cost..." He smiled and kissed my head. "Would you want to try it now, before we know for sure?" I shook my head. "I think I'll be Okay... But If it's alright... I'm super tired... Can I close my eyes and get some rest?" He smiled and said "Of course my queen. Try and sleep. I'll be here when you wake." He promised, as I drifted to sleep.
