"Liiiiiiiiiiiiiink!"
Zelda screamed at the top of her lungs for her hero. She had found herself in a very terrible situation and she knew that he was the only one who could save her. She looked around frantically for him, hoping Link would come to her rescue!
"Link!" she wailed. Where are you?! Help meeeeeeee!"
Right that that moment, the door burst open and Link came racing in. A fierce look was on the warrior's face as he armed himself with his sword, ready to take on any threats to the princess' safety.
"Link!" Zelda exclaimed, relieving filling her tone as her face brightened at the sight of her hero. "Thank Hyrule you're here! I just knew you'd come to save me!"
Link averted his intense gaze towards Zelda. He was ready to help his childhood friend out of the terrible trouble she was in, no matter what it was.
Seeing how Link was as willing as ever to help her out of her predicament, Zelda pointed to avert his attention to what it was.
"My sink is blocked! I need you to unclog it for me!"
Link's face fell. He was bewildered to hear what Zelda had called him for. He turned to where she was pointing, only just realising they were in the kitchen of the castle. There was the princess' sink, which was indeed overfilled with water.
"I just can't seem to get the water to drain away, no matter what I do." Zelda titled her head. "You will fix it for me? Won't you, Link?"
Link averted his gaze from the sink to the princess. He stared at her, saying absolutely nothing."
"You will?!" Zelda cried, happily throwing her arms around her hero. "Oh thank you, Link! I knew I could count on you!"
Link stood rooted to the spot in Zelda's embrace. He remained silent, still as stunned as ever over what she wanted him to do.
"I'll leave you to get on with it." Zelda let go of Link and headed out through the door. "See you when you've got it fixed!"
Zelda pulled the door shut behind her, leaving Link all alone in the castle kitchen. He stared at the overflowed sink, not knowing how he was supposed to unclog the drain. He was a warrior, not a plumber. He was used to saving the princess from being held captive by Ganondorf, not make sure her palace had running water. This wasn't the sort of task he was used to carrying out.
Perfectly aware he was out of his depth in this situation, Link decided this called for an expect - and he knew just the one. He took out some paper and a pencil, beginning to scribble a note to the person who he knew could fix Zelda's blocked sink.
Hey, it's Link
Just dropping you a message to say that Zelda's kitchen sink is blocked. Could you please come over and fix it? After all, plumbing is what you're the expert in!
Thanks!
~Link~
The plumber read the note which had just been delivered to him. He was astonished over who he'd received a job from. For such a quiet guy, Link was quite wordy when it came to putting messages onto paper.
"So the princess needs my help, does she?"
The plumber smiled to himself. He was used to helping princesses out. Like Link, he was usually saving them from being kidnapped by his enemy - but he was willing to fix the problem with her wink as well.
"I'd better get straight to Hyrule!" he told himself. "After all, it's-a job for me, Mario!"
THE END
