Before we begin, I thought I should announce that I plan I plan on having my OCs and a bunch of other characters appearing in this fic, starting with this chapter, kinda similar to that of Kingdom Hearts 2. Enjoy.
Meanwhile, in Hollow Bastion, Brian is typing on a computer and he comes across something. It wasn't anything he had ever come across in his life.
If you're wondering what he was doing in Hollow Bastion, then I'll oblige you. Setro, Ariel, Jade, Brian, and several others have come to Hollow Bastion sometime after Ganondorf's defeat, and they've formed the "Hollow Bastion Restoration Committee". Their goal is to restore Hollow Bastion to its former glory.
"What could this be?" Brian asked.
Just then, Professor Layton and Luke Triton walked in.
"What's what?" Luke asked.
"Just came across something I don't recognize. And this is one of the weirdest things I have ever come across," Brian said.
"This is very curious. What do you think it could be?" Professor Layton asked.
"To be honest, Hershel, I don't know. Like I said, it's not anything I ever seen, but I'm gonna have to look into it and see what I can learn from it," Brian said, typing.
"Professor, do you think this could have anything to do with Ansem's research?" Luke asked.
"I am not certain, Luke. But it could be just about anything. I am very curious about has Brian so fascinated. After all, a true gentleman must keep an opened mind," Professor Layton said.
Back in the Digital World, Takato and Guil are with an injured Guilmon. Joe puts Guilmon's right arm in a sling.
"There. This should do," Joe said.
"Wow, you're a natural," Takato said.
"It comes naturally when you grew up in a family of doctors. My dad taught me a lot when I was little. I used to practice on my toys," Joe said.
"Toys? Guilmon asked.
"Charmeleon," Guil said.
"I told you not to move," Joe scolded his patient.
"Yeah, you keep it up, and there's no treat for you," Gomamon said.
"Sorry," Guilmon apologized.
"Your arm will have to be in that sling. That means there's no fighting until your arm's better," Joe said.
Back at the mansion, the Bakemon groaned in pain as they got up.
"I don't believe this. We lost the DigiDestined and the Keyblade wielders. It would have gone smoothly if that BlackGuilmon hadn't gone in the way," the leading Bakemon said.
"So what do we do about the boss when he gets here?" One of the Bakemon asked.
"Well, I'll think of something," the leading Bakemon said.
"I'm sure you will," a dark voice spoke. The Bakemon flinched when Devimon appearing behind them. The Bakemon turned in fear when they saw him. "I am curious to know what you will think of."
"Uh..." the Bakemon said.
"I'm waiting," Devimon said.
"Um, about that, boss," the leading Bakemon said.
"Well," Devimon said.
"The DigiDestined and the Keybladers escaped," the other Bakemon said.
"Idiot!" The leading Bakemon hissed.
"How could you have allowed them to escape?" Devimon demanded.
"It wasn't our fault. BlackGuilmon showed up and got in the way of it," the leading Bakemon said.
"BlackGuilmon? That fool," Devimon growled.
"We'll go and deal with him," the leading Bakemon said.
"And give you another chance to fail? I think not!" Devimon said, unleashing a blast of dark energy. The Bakemon both screamed in pain before they dissolved into bits of data. "I do not forgive failure."
Meanwhile, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Max, Lisia, the DigiDestined, the Digimon, Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, Celeste, Eevee, Azurill, Marill, Mime Jr, and Munchlax have made it back to town after they escaped the Bakemon.
"That was way too close for comfort," Brendan said.
"I thought we were gonna have ourselves a great meal," JP said.
"Me too. My stomach was growling and everything," Armadillomon said, sighing.
"Well, we can make up for it by getting our own food," Lisia said.
"Yeah, there are the local markets here," Max said.
"I don't know, Max. I'm not exactly sure what kind of money Digimon spends with," May said.
"That is a problem," Riku said.
"Yeah. They said they would be here, searching for Wisemon. It's those humans with the Keyblades that has them interested. Those Heartless being here isn't a coincidence," the other DemiDevimon said.
They came to a restaurant to have something to eat. Running the restaurant is a Digimon whose body is hidden inside an eggshell, which is broken in a way that exposes only its yellow eyes and green legs. Its feet have three toes each, and red claws. This Digimon is Digitamamon.
"Thanks for letting us eat here, Digitamamon," Kari said.
"You're very welcome. For as long as I'm concerned, you can eat for free," Digitamamon said.
"Sora 2 has a point there. Why not?" Cody asked.
With that said, everyone were looking in different parts of town.
They was spotted by a couple of round Digimon. They were bat-like in appearance. They had yellow cat-like eyes, red talons, and each wore a ragged mask with a skull stitched. They eyed Karen and Lunamon. These Digimon are DemiDevimon. They nod to each other and flew off.
"So that's the newest member of the DigiDestined. It's like the big bosses said," one of the DemiDevimon said.
"Yeah. They said they would be here, searching for Wisemon. It's those humans with the Keyblades that has them interested. Those Heartless being here isn't a coincidence," the other DemiDevimon said.

"He's completely different from the Digitamamon you mentioned," Max said.
"The Digitamamon you're talking about is a cousin of mine. He's a bit of a rotten egg compared to me," Digitamamon said.
"Why would you willing to give us a free meal?" Lisia asked.
"Because the DigiDestined saved the Digital World, they eat for free; and I don't take no for an answer. Also when you're friends with the DigiDestined, you get the same deal," Digitamamon said.
"That's very generous of you," Naminé said.
Unknown to anyone, They're being watched by a giant chicken-like Digimon from in the kitchen. Its body is covered in creamish-white feathers with its wings purple at the ends while its tail feathers are purple at the base and red at the tip. The upper mandible of its mouth is covered in rhinotheca with teeth while the lower mandible us covered in feathers with three protruding teeth at the tip. It has red eyes with slit pupils like a reptile and the crest of black feathers. Its feet each have four talons and a single dewclaw. This Digimon is known as Kokatorimon. He took out a pad and activated it.
"The DigiDestined and the humans with key-swords are here at the restaurant, eating as we speak," Kokatorimon said.
"Good. Keep an eye on them for as long as you can and report when they leave, and pass it along," a voice said.
"Roger," Kokatorimon said, breaking contact.
"Kokatorimon, what's taking so long in there?" Digitamamon asked from the eating area.
"It's coming, boss," Kokatorimon answered back.
After they ate their fill, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Max, Lisia, the DigiDestined, the Pokémon, and the Digimon took their leave of the restaurant and Kokatorimon gave the report and passed on the news to some other Digimon.
A little further away, there a bunch of tan-colored, bald-headed Digimon with red gloves, and red and blue gloves with gold stars. They each had a beard, bushy eyebrows, hairy armpits, and a pair of sunglasses. They each have a single string of hair on top of their heads and they had FUTURE tattooed on their heads. These Digimon are known as Nanimon.
"Looks like they making their move. You got the De-Digivolution bombs ready?" One of the Nanimon asked.
"Locked and loaded. Leomon, Guardromon, Cyberdramon, and MarineAngemon are our biggest concern. We gotta weaken them if Devimon hopes to stand a chance against them," another Nanimon said.
"You're right. We make our move as soon as we have a chance," the first Nanimon said.
"Right," the rest of the Nanimon agreed.
A little while later, Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, May, Max, Lisia, the DigiDestined, the Digimon, Pikachu, Angel, Xipak, Celeste, Eevee, Azurill, Marill, Mime Jr, and Munchlax left the town to continue the search for Wisemon, unaware of being followed by the Nanimon and DemiDevimon.
As they kept going, they kept their eyes opened for any unwanted guests.
"No signs of Heartless, Nobodies, or Unversed," Ethan said.
"Doesn't mean we won't see any," Riku reminded Ethan.
"He's right. We shouldn't let our guard down even for a minute," Ash said.
"So far, we've only seen Heartless and Unversed, but not the Nobodies yet," Kris said.
"That's true, but Riku did say we're going to see them rather if we want to or not," Kairi said.
"I vote for not to," JP said.
"Are they really that big a deal like those Organization XIII guys you mentioned?" Impmon asked.
"Well, the Organization is made up Nobodies, just like that Xigbar guy on Sir Lawrence III's ship," Henry said.
"You mean the cyclops? How can I forget?" Rika asked.
"Not to mention Vexen," Ryo said.
"Well, I don't know who those organizers are, but I'm going to give them a real hot-foot with my fireballs when I see one of them," Impmon said.
"That'll be something to see," Davis chuckled to himself.
They stopped when they heard something.
"Everyone, stop," Leaf said.
"You hear that?" Tai asked.
"I heard it," Bokomon said.
"Munch," Munchlax said.
"Where is it coming from?" Lyra asked.
"I don't know, but whatever it is, it's big," Brendan said.
As they kept looking around, something crawls by them. They then hear a rattling sound.
"It's getting closer," Naminé said.
Just when they were just getting anxious, a couple of metal snake heads came out from the trees, surprising the group. Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, Brendan, and May summoned their Keyblades, swinging at the heads at the snapping snakes.
"Where did these things come from?" Sora asked.
"From me," a loud hissing voice spoke. They looked and saw what looked like a black snake's head emerging from the trees. It has a red underbelly. The snake crawls even closer and it has a tuft of fur on the chest. The rest of its body is black with the red underbelly with a rattle. The black head is then surrounded by seven metallic metal heads.
"Okay, and what do you call that thing?" Max asked.
"Orochimon," Neemon said.
"Look what we have here. Tasty little morsels, and enough for a feast," Orochimon said.
"You'll be disappointed to know that we don't intend to make it easy for the likes of you, Orochimon!" Cyberdramon growled, rushing at the snake-like Digimon. "Desolation Claw!" Cyberdramon readies his claws, but Orochimon swings his tail at Cyberdramon, hitting him.
"Here I come!" MarineAngemon said, flying towards him. MarineAngemon spewed out a heart, but Orochimon wasn't the least bit intimidated by the heart and blew it and him back.
"Try these on for size!" Guardromon said, raising his arms. "Grenade Destroyer!" Guardromon fired his missiles at Orochimon, hitting one of the heads.
"Fist of the Beast King!" Leomon shouted, releasing his aura attack at another head, destroying it. Sora and Riku threw their Keyblades and took out two of them. Orochimon laughed.
"What's so funny?" Sora asked.
"You if you think it'll be so easy," Orochimon said as the destroyed heads regenerates.
"What the?!" Sora exclaimed in shock.
"Pika?!" Pikachu also exclaimed.
"Those heads just came back?" Riku asked.
"Inferno Blast!" Orochimon shouted, spewing a powerful fire attack. Everyone all scattered.
"Watch out!" Kairi shouted.
"Eevee!" Angel gasped.
Everyone ran around as Orochimon ceases his attack.
"Come out, come out, wherever you are," Orochimon said, using his heads to look around. Max tried to sneak out without Orochimon noticing, but one of the heads spotted him. "Peekaboo, I see you." The black head turned to him. "You're barely even big enough to make a mouthful, but I'm not a picky eater."
"How about me?" A voice asked. It turns out to be Greymon who said that when he jumped out. "Be careful you don't get heart burn! Nova Blast!" Greymon fired a fireball at the black head. All of the Digimon Digivolved except for Gatomon, Bokomon, Neemon, Impmon, Calumon, Lunamon and for Guilmon due to his injury.
"Okay, you guys! Now!" ExVeemon said.
"I don't think so!" A voice shouted. Before anyone could look around, several orbs come flying out and they hit all of the Digimon, making them De-Digivolve.
Gatomon had become a small, cream-colored hound-like Digimon with a gold ring like she was wearing a collar. This Digimon is known as Salamon.
Leomon became a skunk-like Digimon with nine tails, blue eyes, and long ears. He is red with a white underbelly and violet markings. This is his Rookie form, Elecmon.
Guardromon became robotic stag beetle Digimon with four arms with hand clamp-like chela at the end of the first pair and plugs at the end of the second pair. His head is shaped like a taser and it has plugs in his shoulders. He has a pair of metal wings on his back. He has red on the brachium of his first pair of arms and his thighs. This is Rookie form, Kokuwamon.
Cyberdramon became a purple mini dragon with bat-like wings attached to his hands. He has gold markings on the horn on top of his head and red markings on his shoulders. He has drill-like claws on his three-digit fingers and toes, and gold eyes, and a gold jewel-like center on his forehead. This is his Rookie form, Monodramon.
MarineAngemon became a purple penguin-like Digimon with red claws, and purple markings on his underbelly. His beak is black-tipped. This is Rookie form, Penguinmon.
Everyone gasped when they saw it happen.
"What happened to them?" Amy asked.
"They De-Digivolved," Takato said.
"You fell for our trap," Orochimon said.
"What trap?" Sora asked.
"We wanted you to Digivolve, so I sprung in my trap. Devimon will be very pleased with my efforts and reward me for my efforts," Orochimon said.
"Devimon?" Sora asked.
Just then, the sky turned dark and the clouds spiral down. Devimon then appeared before the group.
"Oh, no! Not him!" TK gasped.
"Who's he?" May asked.
"That's Devimon," Tai said.
"He looks like a bad Digimon," Max said.
"He is. He's so evil, he's the guy who invented the nightmare," Agumon said. Devimon grinned.
"Thank you all for coming all this way. I personally wanted to greet you all myself," Devimon said.
"Glad we gave you something to look forward to!" Sora said.
"If it's a fight you want, Devimon, then you're about to get one!" Riku said.
"I think not," Devimon said, raising himself up in the air. "Your journey ends here. Prepare for the abyss!" He aims for the group. "Touch of Evil!" A burst of dark energy erupts his hand as everyone goes flying. Sora, Kairi, Riku, Naminé, Max, Pikachu, Angel, Eevee, Azurill, Xipak, and Celeste go flying with Tai and Davis's team in one direction as Ash, Leaf, Ethan, Kris, Lyra, and Marill go flying with the Digimon Tamers and Guil in the other, and Brendan, May, and Lisia goes flying with Takuya, Koji, JP, Zoe, Tommy, Koichi, Mime Jr, and Munchlax in another. Max tried to reach for his sister.
"May, help!" Max cried.
"Max!" May cried, trying to reach for her brother.
They're broken up into three different groups, flying in different places in the Digital World. Could Devimon succeeded in eliminating the group? Find out in our next chapter.
