After freeing the Floramon and Mushroomon village from Okuwamon and his Kuwagamon gang, Brendan, May, Lisia, Takuya, Koji, JP, Zoe, Tommy, Koichi, Mime Jr, Munchlax, Bokomon, and Neemon started to make their way to find their missing friends. But it was a hot and scorching day. Everyone were sweating intensely. And there was more.

"It's so hot," Neemon groaned.

"I know it's hot. Talking about it is only making me feel more hot," Bokomon said.

"It's hard to blame Neemon, Bokomon. If this heat doesn't lift up soon, we're all going to die of thirst," May said.

"Don't say thirst, May. You're gonna make me start going," Takuya said.

"Tommy, couldn't you just turn into Kumamon and blow some cold air on us?" Brendan asked.

"I could if it weren't for this heat," Tommy said.

"Ah, man," Brendan said.

They all kept on walking, looking for their friends, unaware of Soundbirdmon hovering above them and watching them.

Over to Devimon, he watching a projection of Mephistomon being destroyed by Sora. He just frowned when he ceases it.

"Those Keyblade wielders are more powerful than I thought. They have to be if they defeated Mephistomon... And he was nothing to sneeze at," Devimon said as a DemiDevimon flew in.

"Devimon!" DemiDevimon said, flying in.

"What is it?" Devimon asked.

"I came to report to you about the four human children that are rumored to have the Spirits of metal, wood, water, and earth. It turns out to be true after all. Our Troopmon forces tried to take them, but they defeated them all," DemiDevimon said.

"It means it won't be long until all 10 Legendary Warriors will be reunited once again. That is something we cannot have," Devimon said. He begins to walk with DemiDevimon following him. He entered a chamber and sees a punch of Digimon that resembles Patamon, but dark purple and white. These Digimon are Tsukaimon. They scatter when Devimon makes his presence known. He holds out a hand and down came two sets of skeletal figures.

"Um, what are those?" DemiDevimon asked.

"What you're looking at are the Spirits of Darkness," Devimon said.

"The Spirits of Darkness? Doesn't one of them already have that?" DemiDevimon asked.

"It's not the real Spirits of Darkness, you stupid twit. These are only copies of the Spirits of Darkness, created by Cherubimon. When Grumblemon, Ranamon, Arbormon, and Mercurymon were defeated, he created copies of the Spirits of Darkness in such an emergency, nor did he have the chance to make copies of the other Spirits, but he never gotten the chance to put the copies to good use since he was ultimately defeated. And it would have been difficult for him since he figured the Spirits of Darkness chooses a host. One with a heart that has a sufficient amount of darkness in their hearts. What was also unexpected was that the Spirits of Metal, Water, Wood, and Earth have chosen their hosts and found their way into the same world the Keyblade wielders and the DigiDestined originated from. So, I have kept the copies of the dark spirits close in case I ever needed it. And it would seem that I need it now. Duskmon, the true Warrior of Darkness, and Velgemon, the true Beast Warrior of Darkness are about to make a grand return," Devimon said. He extends his hands and he sends out an amount of dark energy into the spirits, making them absorb it. The Spirits of Darkness began to take shape. The new Digimon resembles a demonic black knight whose armor consists of skulls for his head, hands, and feet, and has golden hair. He has eyes on his shoulders, chest, and his feet. His real red eyes can be seen in the mouth of his skull helmet. "Welcome back to existence, Duskmon, Warrior of Darkness."

"Warrior of Darkness?" Duskmon asked.

"Yes. It was I who created you through the powers of darkness. Therefore, I am your new master. You will pledge your undying loyalty to me and me alone," Devimon said.

"Yes, Master," Duskmon said.

"Good. You will be given a test of your abilities, my servant," Devimon said.

"I will prove myself to you, Master," Duskmon said.

A little later, Duskmon enters an arena, surrounded by a squad of Troopmon. They all aim their firearms at Duskmon, ready to shoot.

"You may fire when ready," Devimon said. With that said, the Troopmon fired at Duskmon, but a retractable red blades came out from his hands and he deflects the bullets and slashed through a handful of Troopmon, destroying them. They try again, only for Duskmon to wipe them out.

"Death Gaze!" Duskmon fired beams of energy from the eyes on his armor and they struck the Troopmon. He lunges at the Troopmon again and he slashed through them all until they were all defeated.

"Well done, Duskmon. Now, it's time for the next phase," Devimon said as he summoned what looks like a Greymon, but it's blue. This is a Virus A few more Greymon came in and they glare at Duskmon. The Greymon charges right at Duskmon, so he charges at the Greymon with his red blades. He jumped forward. He slashed at one of them, wounding the Greymon.

"Nova Blast!" The Greymon roared, firing Nova Blast, but Duskmon slashed through the fireballs.

"Is that all you got? You're going to do better than that," Duskmon said. "Deadly Gaze!" He uses his eyes to hypnotize the evil Greymon into a trance. "Brute Swing!" Duskmon swings his blades and he slashed at two of the Greymon. They end up being destroyed. The two Greymon then began to Digivolve. One of them into SkullGreymon and one into a MetalGreymon. This MetalGreymon is blue like the previous form.

"Both your opponents have Digivolved, so what do you intend to do about it?" Devimon asked.

"Just this," Duskmon said as he undergoes a transformation. "Duskmon Slide Evolution..." Duskmon has transformed into a demonic bird-like Digimon. He has black feathers and dark red skin. Keeping in line with his human spirit, his shoulders are armored with skulls, and he has three horns, three eyes on his head, and yellow hair. "Velgemon!" Velgemon flew around the arena at MetalGreymon and SkullGreymon as they attempt to grab him.

"Giga Blaster!" MetalGreymon roared, firing his organic missiles at Velgemon.

"Dark Shot!" SkullGreymon roared, firing his own missile.

Velgemon dodged the missiles and flew around them. He uses his wing to draw what looks like a circle.

"Dark Obliteration!" Velgemon shouted. Energy bursts from the ground, around MetalGreymon and SkullGreymon, trapping them both inside. Both Digivolved forms of Greymon were then destroyed inside the vortex. Velgemon reverts back to Duskmon as Devimon clapped his hands.

"Wonderfully done, Duskmon. You have exceeded my wildest expectations. Well done," Devimon said as Duskmon bowed his head in respect. "You are now ready for the real thing."

"What is thy bidding, Master?" Duskmon asked.

"There are humans who wishes to disrupt my ambitions for the Digital World. These humans are known as the DigiDestined and the Keyblade wielders. They follow a path to light while we follow the path to darkness. You will find them and you will kill them," Duskmon said.

"I will," Duskmon said.

"The DigiDestined I want you to eliminate first has in their possession the Spirits of the 10 Legendary Warriors, especially one who is in possession of the tainted Spirits of Darkness in the hands of Koichi Kimura," Devimon said.

"Yes, my Master," Duskmon said, bowing his head. "I will not fail."

Meanwhile, Brendan, May, Lisia, Takuya, Koji, JP, Zoe, Tommy, Koichi, Mime Jr, Munchlax, Bokomon, and Neemon are still wondering through the intense heat when a humanoid Digimon spotted them. His entire body is composed of orange and yellow flames. This Digimon is known as Meramon. Several more Meramon arrived. But there was one that was that has the same appearance as the Meramon, but his flames are blue instead. This Digimon is BlueMeramon.

"Are they the humans that's said to turn into Digimon?" BlueMeramon asked.

"That's them. We better let the boss know," the first Meramon said.

"Agreed. You keep an eye on them. I'll tell SkullMeramon," BlueMeramon said. With the first Meramon nodded as BlueMeramon and the other Meramon left to inform their boss. They ran to what looks like a volcano. Sitting on a throne is a humanoid Digimon. He wore long black pants with red flames on the legs and boots with skull designs on them. His arms and torso are wrapped in chains, and He wore a skull-like metal mask on his face; only his red eyes and dark blue hair can be seen. Blue flames burn on his upper body. This Digimon is SkullMeramon. "SkullMeramon, boss."

"This better be important, BlueMeramon," SkullMeramon said.

"Right. We spotted a squadron of human children, along with a Bokomon, a Neemon, and two other creatures with them. Most of these humans happen to be the DigiDestined that posses the Spirits of the Legendary Warriors," BlueMeramon reported.

"Seriously? They're here?" SkullMeramon asked.

"Yes, sir. One of the Meramon is watching them right now," BlueMeramon said.

"This is good. Devimon did mention the Legendary Warriors to me. This is a great day for me," SkullMeramon said.

"I'll personally lead you to them, boss," BlueMeramon said. SkullMeramon stood up and followed BlueMeramon and the Meramon squad.

Meanwhile, Duskmon had turned into Velgemon and flew off to search for Takuya and his team and destroy them once he finds them.

Meanwhile, Zach, Marina, Jason, and Patrick are in the same area, looking for their fellow DigiDestined.

"You sure they're here somewhere, Zach?" Patrick asked.

"I'm sure, Pat. Their signal is getting stronger the further we go. And you know Devimon is out there," Zach said.

"He's right. He won't be sitting down and sip some tea while we waltz through the Digital World," Jason said.

"He'll be sending out some of his guys to deal with us, so we gotta be on our toes," Marina said.

"I'm just sure if we can find those six. How do we even know if these readings are even good?" Patrick asked.

"Pat, it's gonna be fine. We made it this far, didn't we?" Marina asked.

"She's gotta point. We did it by working together," Zach said.

"And we gotta keep following it until we find it," Jason said.

With that said, the four kids kept following the trail, unaware of a squad of BlueMeramon watching them.

Back with Brendan, May, Lisia, Takuya, Koji, JP, Zoe, Tommy, Koichi, Mime Jr, Munchlax, Bokomon, and Neemon, they kept going and then a burst of flames explode in their path.

"What was that?" Lisia asked.

"And where did that come from?" Tommy asked.

Tommy and Lisia got their answer when the squad of Meramon surrounded them.

"What do you call these Digimon? Firemon, Flamemon?" Brendan asked.

"They're Meramon," Bokomon said.

"Meramon?" Brendan asked.

"Yes. Meramon's entire bodies are made of flames. They can burn their enemies by throwing their Fireball attacks or just by touching you," Bokomon said.

"They're good for roasting marshmallows," Neemon said, earning a pants snap from Bokomon.

"This is no time for jokes!" Bokomon exclaimed.

"Yeow!" Neemon cried.

"What do you want?" May asked.

"We're here for you!" Another voice said. That voice belonged to SkullMeramon as he and BlueMeramon jumped in front of the two groups.

"That's a BlueMeramon," JP said.

"And that's SkullMeramon," Koji said.

"You know who I am, right? Fine with me, because I know who you are. You're the DigiDestined that has the Spirits of the Legendary Warriors. How lucky of me to get to you first," SkullMeramon said.

"Not as lucky as you think, hothead!" Zoe said.

"So, we're gonna put out your fire!" Takuya said. Brendan and May summoned their Keyblades as Takuya, Koji, JP, Zoe, Tommy, and Koichi start their Spirit Evolutions.

"Execute! Spirit Evolution!" Takuya, Koji, JP, Zoe, Tommy, and Koichi shouted.

"Agunimon!"

"Lobomon!"

"Beetlemon!"

"Kazemon!"

"Kumamon!"

"Loweemon!"

"Now, let's see whose fire burns hotter! Pyro Darts!" Agunimon shouted, firing his fire attack at the Meramon, but it only tickled them.

"That only tickled them," Lobomon said.

"Try me out!" Kazemon said as she flew upwards. "Hurricane Wave!" She unleashed a strong wind attack, but it does nothing but build up their flames.

"It's no use! That only made their flames larger!" Loweemon said.

"So, fire and wind is practically useless in this fight," Brendan said.

"Then, how about this?" May asked, casting a water spell. The Meramon were struck by the magical water, much to their dismay.

"Good thinking, May. Meramon don't do well with water," Beetlemon said.

"Let's cool these guys down! Crystal Breeze!" Kumamon shouted, firing an icy breath, freezing one of the Meramon. "Blizzard Blaster!" Kumamon took out his launcher and fires snowballs at the Meramon, hitting them.

"Don't stand there, you wastes of fire! Fight back!" SkullMeramon ordered.

"Fireball!" The Meramon shouted, throwing fireballs at their enemies.

"Cold Flame!" BlueMeramon shouted, sending out an icy cold flame.

Brendan blocked BlueMeramon's attack with his Keyblade as the others dodges the fireballs.

"My turn now! Metal Fireball!" SkullMeramon shouted, spitting out a metallic fireball. The group scattered.

"Blizzard!" May shouted, casting a blizzard spell, hitting SkullMeramon on the mark.

"That was unpleasantly cold! I'm gonna burn you alive for that!" SkullMeramon roared, swinging his chains. "Chain of Pain!" He sends out his chin when Lobomon cuts the chain.

"I don't think so!" Lobomon said, sliding. "Slide Evolution! KendoGarurumon!"

"Nice doggy. Does the doggy wanna have a treat?" SkullMeramon taunted.

"I'm not hungry! Lupine Laser!" KendoGarurumon shouted, firing his laser attack from his mouth. This strikes SkullMeramon.

"I got ya! Cold Flame!" BlueMeramon shouted, hurling his attack.

"Lightning Blitz!" Beetlemon ordered. He sends out a bolt of lightning, hitting BlueMeramon. Brendan casts a stone spell, hitting the Meramon on the mark.

Meanwhile, Zach, Jason, Marina, and Patrick are surrounded by the squad of BlueMeramon.

"Let's clear these guys out?" Jason suggested.

"Just what I was thinking, Jason. You ready to rock?" Zach asked.

"Yeah!" Jason, Marina, and Patrick said, holding their Digivices as they began to Spirit Evolve.

"Execute! Spirit Evolution!" They transformed into their Digimon forms.

"Mercurymon!"

"Grumblemon!"

"Ranamon!"

"Arbormon!"

"Cold Flame!" The BlueMeramon threw blue fireballs at Mercury, so he uses his shield to absorb it.

"What goes around comes around! Literally! Dark Reflection!" Mercurymon shouted, sending the fireballs back, hitting the BlueMeramon, but destroyed by their own attacks. More BlueMeramon surround Ranamon as she summoned a rain cloud.

"Draining Rain!" Ranamon shouted. The rain pours down on the BlueMeramon, sapping their energy.

"Seismic Sledge!" Grumblemon shouted, slamming his hammer down. The BlueMeramon are pushed back with the earth.

"Roundhouse Punt!" Arbormon shouted, sending out his limbs, hitting them.

The BlueMeramon kept on attacking until they were overwhelmed by the strength of the four warrior Digimon. Seeing it as a losing fight, the BlueMeramon began to retreat.

"Okay, you guys. Let's go," Mercurymon said.

Agreeing with the Warrior of Steel, the Warriors of Earth, Water, and Wood continued on their search.

Back with the battle against SkullMeramon, Brendan, May, the Warriors of Flame, Light, Thunder, Wind, Ice, and Darkness continued the fight. KendoGarurumon, Kumamon, and Loweemon took down some of the Meramon as Agunimon, Kazemon, and Beetlemon took down BlueMeramon and some of the other Meramon.

"Water!" May shouted as she casts a water spell, hitting the Meramon.

"Blizzaga!" Brendan shouted, casting a blizzard spell, hitting the Meramon. The Meramon were all beaten, much to SkullMeramon's annoyance.

"You little pests are gonna burn for this! Metal Fireball!" SkullMeramon shouted, firing his attack. They all dodged SkullMeramon's attack. "Chain of Pain!" He swings his chain. Agunimon caught the chain.

"I got you, metalhead!" Agunimon said. SkullMeramon grinned evilly.

"Who's got who?" SkullMeramon asked as he pulled Agunimon his way and gave him a punch. Brendan came at SkullMeramon and casts a blizzard spell, hitting him. "That's cold. And cold... BURNS ME UP!" SkullMeramon increased his heat and he came at Brendan. "Blazing Iron Whip!" He swings his chain, emitting blue flames. He sends it at Brendan, making him dodge. "Metal Fireball!" SkullMeramon fired his attack when Mercurymon suddenly appeared and he held up his shield, much to Agunimon's surprise.

"This one's coming back at you! Dark Reflection!" Mercurymon shouted, sending SkullMeramon's attack back at him.

"Mercurymon?!" Agunimon exclaimed.

BlueMeramon was busy fighting Loweemon, Kumamon and Beetlemon when he heard SkullMeramon's scream.

"Boss!" BlueMeramon said.

"Draining Rain!" A voice shouted. Rain comes down at BlueMeramon, draining his energy. They turned to see Ranamon.

"Ranamon?!" Beetlemon and Kumamon exclaimed.

Arbormon and Grumblemon arrived to the scene.

"Grumblemon? Arbormon?" Kazemon asked.

"We're here to help," Grumblemon said.

"Am I going crazy, or is he speaking like an actual person and not like a caveman?" Beetlemon asked.

"And that's what we're gonna do," Arbormon said. "Blockade Seed!" He fired his missile at BlueMeramon, destroying him.

"I didn't you know there were others like them, but I can still take you down," SkullMeramon said.

"You're gonna have to try," Mercurymon said. Agunimon was surprised by how Mercurymon spoke. The Mercurymon would have said "thou" and not "you", and he would have said "art" along with it. He knew this new Mercurymon was slightly different.

"Chain of Pain!" SkullMeramon shouted as Mercurymon uses his shields to block. Brendan then came at SkullMeramon and slashed him across the chest.

"Try this on for size!" Brendan shouted as his Keyblade emits ice and he threw it, hitting SkullMeramon, freezing completely.

"Let's end this!" Agunimon said.

"Agreed!" Mercurymon said.

Both Agunimon and Mercurymon gave SkullMeramon one more punch, cracking the ice. The ice breaks completely as SkullMeramon is now destroyed and sparkles rain down. The remaining Meramon ran off, knowing they lost the fight. Once the fight was over, Brendan, May, the Legendary Warriors, Lisia, Bokomon, Neemon, Mime Jr, and Munchlax stood before the four new Warriors.

"I don't know who you are, but thanks," Agunimon said. Mercurymon smiled as he and the other three reverted back to their human selves. Agunimon and the rest does the same.

"It's the least we can do," Zach said.

"I knew it. You're just like us," Takuya said.

"I thought we were the only ones," Zoe said.

"Well, you aren't," Marina said.

"And we've been looking for you," Jason said.

"So, who are you?" Koji asked.

"My name is Zach, and I have the Spirits of Mercurymon and Sakkakumon, the Warriors of Steel," Zach said.

"My name's Marina, and I have the Spirits of Ranamon and Calamaramon, the Warriors of Water," Marina said.

"My name's Jason, and I have the Spirits of Grumblemon and Gigasmon, the Warriors of Earth," Jason said.

"And I'm Patrick, and I have the Spirits of Arbormon and Petaldramon, the Warriors of Wood," Patrick said.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Brendan," Brendan introduced himself.

"My name's May," May introduced herself.

"I'm Lisia," Lisia introduced herself.

"I'm Takuya."

"Koji."

"I'm JP."

"My name's Zoe."

"I'm Tommy."

"And I'm Koichi."

"Mime, Mime," Mime Jr said.

"Munchlax," Munchlax said.

"I'm Bokomon."

"And I'm Neemon," Neemon finished.

"It's nice to meet you," Marina said.

"In fact, we were looking for you," Jason said.

"Why us?" Tommy asked.

"Well, we were told that there are others like us, so we were looking for you because we need to work together to defeat Devimon," Zach said.

"Devimon?!" Brendan, May, Lisia, Takuya, Koji, JP, Zoe, Tommy, Koichi, Bokomon, and Neemon exclaimed.

"It's a good thing you did," Koichi said.

"That guy's the reason we got separated from our other friends," JP said.

"Along with my brother," May said.

"Your friends?" Zach asked.

"Yeah. We're looking for them when those Digimon attacked us," Bokomon said.

"But with you by our side, we can have a better chance of finding them," Lisia said.

"Then, we'll be more than happy to help out," Marina said.

"Thanks," May said.

So, joined by Zach, Marina, Jason, and Patrick, Brendan, May, Lisia, Takuya, Koji, JP, Zoe, Tommy, Koichi, Mime Jr, Munchlax, Bokomon, and Neemon are about to set off again to search for their missing friends when something drops before them. Koichi gasped when he saw this Digimon with his own eyes.

"No, it can't be!" Koichi gasped.

"I found you at long last," Duskmon said.

"Who's this guy?" May asked.

"That's Duskmon," Bokomon said.

"The true Warrior of Darkness," Duskmon claimed.

"True Warrior of Darkness?" Lisia asked.

Just when four more Legendary Warriors join up, an evil warrior comes to launch his attack against them. How will they be able to overcome this guy? And who truly deserves the title of Warrior of Darkness? Stay tuned of you wanna find out.
