Little Toy Bikers and a Woman on the Run

"

Chapter 387 Joshy & TarTar

"

Tara gasped when she saw Josh Kohn.

"You got on a plane to Chicago."

"And yet I'm here," he said sarcastically closing the bedroom door and leaning against it. "I knew that idiot Hale would fall for my little ruse of playing background sounds of an airport. Sometimes it's just so damned easy."

He could see the rapid rise and fall of her chest. The color drained from her already pale face. She was scared shitless and he loved it! It was even more exhilarating than he imagined!

"I thought you were supposed to be in Chicago."

Josh grinned and walked over to where she was standing near the bed.

"Fuck the ATF. I'm going to get an attorney and pull the stress disability retirement parachute. The attorney I hired is handling everything. I couldn't get on a plane to Chicago because of my stress. They'll pay me off because it will be cheaper than fighting it. And a hell of a lot less embarrassing. I've got files of blackmail material on all the ATF shitheads back in Chicago."

"I thought you loved being an ATF agent."

"You thought wrong Tara. It's boring as hell being an ATF agent working in a field office. I'm a field agent at heart not a fucking paper pusher. I've rented us a cabin in the desert for two weeks."

"Josh," Tara said softly, "we aren't together anymore."

"Really? What the hell? Since when?" Josh's voice dripped with sarcasm. "Yeah, that's a problem for you because we are going to be together. You aren't going to leave me ever again."

He watched her trying to figure out what he was telling her. Perfect. There it was finally. The dawning horror on her face when she realized what he was really telling her. Next, he expected her to try to play him.

"Maybe we can work on our relationship. You were always so jealous of Jax. Now you can see that there was nothing to it."

"Is that because he doesn't want you anymore? Why drive a basic stripped down subcompact like you when he can have a top of the line fully loaded sports car like his blonde whore?"

"Her name's Scarlett and she isn't a whore."

"She is without a doubt a vast improvement over you. Lucky for you, I still have feelings for you or I'd be with her now instead of you."

"I still have feelings for you," Tara said so softly it was almost a whisper.

Josh wasn't fooled. This was all part of her plan to trick him into lowering his guard, so she could get away. He would let her think she was getting away with her stupid plan. She had always underestimated him.

"It was all your fault that we never worked out," Josh said. This was fun—blaming her for everything. It was mostly her fault. She'd still been in love with Teller when she met him. Probably still was in love with him. He wondered what it would take to rip Teller from her heart. He might find out in the two weeks he was going to spend with her.

"You're right. I just wasn't present enough in the relationship," Tara said. She was trying to maneuver her way around him to get to the door.

"Sit down on the bed so we can talk," Josh ordered.

"We could talk in the living room or kitchen. I just took some cookies out of the oven. Chocolate chip cookies. You know how you love my cookies."

"Sit down on the bed now or I will put you down," Josh ordered again his voice harsh.

"Of course," she said quickly. "I just thought you might want cookies."

"I want you and I'm going to have you," he said with quiet menace in his voice. He had her so scared now, he thought she might pass out from fright. This was the relationship he'd always wanted. Terrorize her into compliance. Her fear was a rush.

"OK," Tara said sweetly sitting on the bed. "I should have been kinder to you. Not taken you for granted. Never told you about Jax. He's not the man you are."

"You thought so much of me that you tried to get a restraining order but were too stupid to follow through with the hearing. That could have been a problem for me with my job."

"I didn't understand that. I overreacted."

"I barely touched you."

"I know. I screwed up. I shouldn't have gotten the temporary restraining order."

"You didn't understand what it felt like to be loved by a man who wasn't an MC loser like Teller."

"You're right Joshy. Remember how good it was when it was Joshy and TarTara?"

That was really over the top, Josh Kohn thought. Calling him Joshy. She was really trying to get him to lower his guard. Stupid fucking bitch! Did she really believe that using her pet name for him would soften his heart?

"Take off your clothes. You are going to show me just how much you love me."

"How about a little seduction? You were always so good at that."

Josh looked at her and shook his head. She really believed that she was playing him, that he was taken in by her little act. How did she manage to get through medical school when she was so fucking stupid? He had a revelation then—maybe doctors weren't smart. Tara sure as hell wasn't.

He smiled and took off his gun and put it on the nightstand. He knew exactly what he was doing. She would try to get the gun and when she did, he was really going to hurt her then over and over.

He was going to rip her apart and make her bleed. He was going to scar her up so bad, no man would want her. As much as he loved her, he hated her more. Time to make her pain for all the pain she'd caused him.

"Take off your clothes."
