Chapter 401 Where's Louise?

For the first half hour, Louise's mother Lois was annoyed with her daughter for being late. Normally, she was thoughtful and would call her even if she were only running ten minutes late. She called her. No answer.
She'd trusted Louise and never installed the tracking software on her daughter's phone. Now, she regretted that decision. She just needed to know that her daughter was OK.
After an hour of unanswered phone calls to Louise, she called Louise's friends. Even as she made the calls, she knew that it was pointless. Louise would have called her or she would have answered her phone.
Next, Lois called her best friend Betsy. She and her husband Barry came over. Together, they drove Louise's route home. No Louise. They drove other routes she might have used. No Louise.
Lois' hands shook too badly for her to hold her phone and call 911. Betsy called. Louise was missing and Lois hoped like hell they could find her in time.
