I got through with an updater per week in a month. School is coming up I'll try to keep updating at this pace until the story's next hiatus for planning the next saga.

His Own Man

Babidi glared at Daburack while he was unconscious in a healing tank.

'To think I thought he was unstoppable! It's no wonder why father shelved this spell!'

Zangya and Kugo stood in the door frame of the recovery room. To kill time the duo decided to whisper to each other as Babidi wasn't in a good mood, it was best for him not to hear.

The female waved a hand through her hair. "After merging Lord Bojack with Dabura I thought he was invincible."

"We also thought Lord Bojack was invincible before all this." Kugo sighed. "Are we really going back to earth? Now would be a bad time we should wait until Lord Daburack is recovered."

"I know that's why I think you should convince him otherwise." Zangya tilted her head to them.

"Me? Why me?"

"You were always the one kissing Lord Bojack's ass when we needed to stay alive what's wrong with now?"

"I prefer calling it persuading him and I may be willing to talk to our homicidal leader to spare us, however Master Babidi is more" He looked to make sure the imp wasn't looking his way. "unstable."

Zangya looked at their master thinking back to all that's happened since they were recruited. He did kill a few guards for reasons such as interrupting his train of thought and once they proved their usefulness they were killed in a not so merciful way. She remembered the way the guard's head inflated slowly before exploding. Even Lord Bojack gave quicker deaths than that, and during some torture sessions.

"Alright you have a point. I hope Lord Daburack recovers soon.."

"Yeah, that way we won't have to fight two to three on earth."

"Not just that." She looked at the injured fusion. "Haven't you noticed that Daburack's more tolerant than Bokack?"

Kugo was about to question but stopped when he realized she did have a point. "Now that you mention it, when Babidi ordered our deaths, he wanted to spare us, something I'm sure Lord Bojack would never do for our failure."

"Don't forget when that machine was about to get rid of us." She reminded. "I'm pretty sure Bojack would have killed at least one of us for failing to do our orders."

"Huh, I hated that Demon King, but it looks like he was a good influence on Lord Bojack huh?"

Zangya nodded. "It made him he's the new you."

"New me?"

"Like I said, he's the one that talks to our master into not murdering us, making him the new you."

Kugo paused but can see it now. "He was the only one who got away with anything Master Babidi didn't like."

"Even when he came to our rescue." She noted.

"Rescue?" The swordsman looked angry. "Speak for yourself, I know I would've landed a finishing strike."

"Oh please" She rolled her eyes. "We were both outmatched and you know it."

Kugo hated admitting it but she had a point. He shouldn't be surprised after all that android was the one that fought Lord Bojack. Still when they have reached his level they should have at least caused serious damage.

"I'm kind of glad that our little band lost two members now."

"And why's that?" She asked but not offended.

"When we were absorbing energy from those runts we weren't taking everything each." He explained. "We split it 50/50, if our comrades were still alive we'd have to split it four ways."

"Oh yeah." Zangya nodded. "Never thought of it that way, guess whoever goes next has to thank them." She smirked at him.

"Excuse me." Kugo looked offended. "I for one be glad if the fair maiden of our band survives, and you should be ecstatic that this handsome devil is keeping you company."

She sighed. "Pretty boy maybe but handsome is pushing it."

"Hmph" The male hera crossed his arms. "Anyway, what will we do if Master does try to go to earth right now?"

"Well it'll take a couple more days, right? He should be back to shape by then and when he does he'll take care of that machine first while I get my hands on that blonde."

"Guess I'll deal with the other one." He then stopped when he heard a slam.

"You, miserable failure!" Babidi screamed at the healing tank. "When you have recovered you will obey my command, your master's command!" He kicked it hoping that the fusion would at least hear him.

"See unstable." Kugo stated.

Zangya nodded thanking any higher power other than the kais. 'Glad he's not strong enough to destroy the tank.'

'They did it.' Trunks smiled as he let go of Grand Kai's shoulder. "Thank you Grand Kai I was glad to see it. I was thinking their plan wouldn't work."

Goku let go of his other shoulder. "I knew it was, did I ever tell you I used that move to win the otherworld martial arts tournament? Only it was with instant transmission and not what the kais do." He smiled. "Well what did we tell ya, your friends are real strong now huh?"

"Yeah" Trunks nodded and turned to Gohan who had his arms crossed.

"Well your trust paid off, now we just got to wait for a couple weeks and you'll be home back with Bulma." He almost sounded sad.

"Yeah but I'll be happy to train here before then."

"Before you start celebrating." Piccolo walked to them. "Are we sure that Daburack is really dead?"

Goku put a hand to his chin. "Well I couldn't sense his energy after that attack, you Trunks?"

He shook his head.

The earth raised saiyan looked at the old man. "How bout you Grand Kai?"

"Nah, when that attack hit his energy dropped, and if it's at zero than he's done." He said stroking his beard.

The thought of Daburack still being around made Trunks sweat a little. He looked at the elder. "Grand Kai can you please check to make sure that he's really dead."

He nodded. "Sure, kid I'll even give the other kais a call and king Yemna to make sure he's crossed."

"Thank you." The half saiyan sighed. "I hate worrying like this."

"Well if he is there's nothing to be done now." Piccolo stepped back into the ring. "Let's get back to your training, when you get back to earth you'll be ten times the fighter you are now."

"Right"

Trunks was glad that he had time to spend with his friends here in otherworld, of course he'll have to his dad down in hell after this and he has to go see Tarble.

Kibito got up holding his head. "Ahhhh"

"Awake?" Lapis was sitting holding his left arm.

The kai's assistant's eyes opened remembering everything. "Where… ugh... where is Daburack?"

"Dead" Lapis smirked.

"Then" Kibito sighed deeply. "Then that means that it worked. Your idea worked Lapis."

"Hey don't sound shocked." He frowned.

"I know I am." Lazuli jabbed.

"I concur." 16 looked up with his half metal skull face.

"Hm, little faith." The dark-haired android slowly got back up and looked around. "Jeez quite the crater whatever you did 16 was it worth it?"

"I needed to buy time. I was desperate when he showed himself sooner than anticipated."

"True, guess we'll have to fix this crater with the dragon balls." Lapis looked up to see where the crater began, it must be dozens of miles below the surface had it gone any deeper it would have hit the center of the planet. "Let's head back."

Lazuli nodded slowly getting up holding her right arm. "Your plan was risky Lapis I thought for sure my arm was going to be destroyed."

"Yeah well it worked, Kibito you ready?"

The kai's assistant nodded allowing the duo to grab his shoulders, Lazuli bent to grab 16's and vanished going back to earth.

The four reappeared in the house where Bulma, Elder Kai, and Elder Moori were waiting.

"Guys we saw all of it!" Bulma yelled running to them. "Way to go guys!" She sees 16 on the ground. "16 are you alright?"

"Yes"

"That was too risky for you I almost had a heart attack seeing you charge him like that." She sighed and looked at the twins. "Great job with that attack you guys!"

"I believe I deserve the credit." Lapis smirked.

Lazuli rolled her eyes. "Oh, please you just lucked out, your idea was thought of last minute at best."

Elder Kai laughed. "My it looks as though they didn't need fusion after all, well done."

"Sounds like we didn't need you." The scientist snorted.

Elder Kai growled. "Well I hope your son had better manners."

Moori got closer to the android trio. "Excuse me, is it true, is our planet is saved?"

Lazuli smiled and nodded. "Yes, your home is safe."

The old namekien smiled. "I knew you earthlings wouldn't let us down thank you!"

Both twins smiled and nodded. They were glad they accomplished saving another planet besides their own.

"Just another day for yours truly." Lapis shrugged ignoring the pain in his arm.

His sister just rolled her eyes.

Elder Kai kept himself from smiling. "And Babidi?"

"The little goblin never showed up." Lapis sighed. "He was smart enough to keep himself hidden."

"Then this isn't over Babidi as well as his father have committed horrible atrocities, for the safety of the universe you must find him and destroy him."

"No worries old man." Lapis nodded. "Well find him in time."

Kibito looked at Elder Moori. "I'm sorry but with Babidi after the dragon balls it is best you remain here until he is dealt with."

Bulma nodded. "You guys are welcome to stay as long as you need."

"I appreciate the hospitality I will inform my people in the garden." Moori bowed his head to the cyborgs. "Thank you again for saving us." He saw them nod and left to his brethren.

The kai's assistant looked grimaced. "Now we must find the Supreme Kai of this era."

"Isn't he dead by now?" Lapis asked getting a look from Kibito. "Just asking, he's been captive for a while."

Elder Kai nodded. "Well I wouldn't worry too much I'm sure he's still alive." He assured. "I gave King Yenma a call earlier his soul hasn't shown up yet, I'm sure that Babidi is keeping him prisoner."

Kibito growled. "If only there were a way to track him."

"I know but all we can do now is be patient, Babidi is after the dragon balls so he'll likely come to earth, when that happens our friends here will deal with them."

Lazuli looked at Kibito. "If he's alive we'll find him."

"Thank you."

Bulma then looked at 16. "Can you guys carry 16 to the lab?"

Both cyborgs carried 16's body to the laboratory and placed him on a table.

"Man, I think this table was made for you." Bulma sighed. "I'm sorry 16, I had more upgrades, but they weren't finished on time."

"It is fine." 16 smiled. "I was able to stall which was all I needed to accomplish."

"Yeah" Lazuli put a hand on Bulma's shoulder. "We couldn't have beaten him without 16 or you Bulma."

The scientist smiled. "Thank you." Once Lazuli pulled her hand off she flinched. "Is something wrong?"

"I'm fine." Lazuli held her arm. "Our attack just gives us some cramps."

"With a risk of broken bones." Lapis held his right shoulder.

"So, you guys were taking advantage of your power cores?" Bulma got a wrench. "Charging your attacks, the whole time 16 fought those three?"

They nodded.

"I think maybe you shouldn't risk that, at least not until I study your power cores a little."

"It's not the first time we've done it doc." Lapis said.

"Yeah but if that attack can do that to you gathering energy in that amount of time imagine what more can do? Hate to imagine blowing your arms off."

"Right" Lazuli didn't like the idea either. "Now we just wait the month to bring back Trunks." She squeezed her other hand. "After we deal with Babidi."

"That'll be hard." Lapis frowned. "Even Kibito and Elder Kai can't find him. But I wish I can see his ugly face." He smirked. "Bet it looked a lot like Dr Gero when he found out we weren't obeying his every word."

"Doesn't matter now, all he has left are two of Bojack's lackies." She smiled.

"Yeah, powered up or not we can take them." He wore his trademark smirk.

Bulma smiled as she repaired 16, now she has to wait a couple weeks and she'll be reunited with her son.

And next time she'll make sure her upgrades make a difference.

Daburack's eyes opened, he sees green liquid and two soldiers standing outside of it. He feels much better than the last time he was conscious.

"He's awake!" One said. "You let him out I'll tell the master."

The other nodded and pressed a button on a the tank.

Slowly the liquid drained, the glass lifted and the mask on his face came off. He frowned remembering his failure and injury.

Daburack breathed in hard and exhaled. Those machines got the better of him, never again, he'll be sure of that. He looks forward to the next time they meet.

"Hello Lord Daburack." The soldier that released him bowed. "Master Babidi requires you to see him right away."

The fusion growled scaring the underling. After a nod he looked down and saw that he was a mess. He was missing his coat and right boot.

"If you'd like some clothes there's armor here for you to wear."

"No need." Daburack started glowing with Dabura's magic. His clothes were back in perfect condition. The fusion walked out of the room towards his master's quarters.

When he walked in Babidi's chamber both Zangya and Kugo bowed he saw Babidi sitting in a throne too big for him with a statue of Supreme Kai at his left.

After he sees Babidi glare at him he bowed.

"Master forgive me for my failure." Daburack said with some minimal spite.

"Hmph" Babidi turned around his arms behind his back. "You failed quite spectacularly."

Veins grew on the fusion's face while still bowing.

"You disobeyed my orders, you defied me, and you failed me." The wizard growled. "And you ask for forgiveness?"

"You are right master I have no excuse."

"No you don't." Babidi glared at his creation and smiled. "Oh well, when I have the dragon balls and revive Majin Buu, we will be unstoppable." He laughed as the idea of having his father's creation with his own made him happier than ever.

Daburack's eyes widened when he heard that. "Majin Buu? " Memories of Bojack listening to Babidi vowing vengeance on the earth for the destruction of a creature with that name. "Is that what you will wish on the dragon balls?"

Babidi smiled. "Of course, with him I will be the supreme ruler of the universe."

His greatest minion actually glared at his master for the first time.

The wizard recoiled from it but glared back. "What are you staring at, is there a problem?"

Daburack eased his scowl. "No, but please Master Babidi why wish him back?" The fusion asked. "I'm already here, your greatest creation, do you really need him?"

No words were spoken for a moment. "Paparapapar!"

The 'M' on his head glowed red and a familiar searing migraine developed in his head. "Raaaaahh!" He clenched his head as he screamed in pain.

Babidi growled. "You are such a disappointment! I created you then you disobey my order and didn't even obtain one dragon ball!" He shouted at the demon hera. "Explain to me why you think you can replace Buu!"

"Gahhhh!" Daburack's pain intensified he got on one knee still bowing. "I was trying to salvage your plan."

"Salvage? What?!"

"Grr" He shook as he bowed. "Zangya and Kugo's powers could match two of the androids, no question. However, against the largest one they were no match, you would have lost two pawns and gained nothing."

Babidi could not believe the way his minion was speaking to him this way, the audacity to talk argue with his master. "They would have destroyed that one and crippled their forces even more! And you wouldn't have gotten injured!" He yelled walking in front of Daburack.

"No" The imp recoiled from the sudden retort. "Your plan was heavily flawed."

"Eh?" The wizard flinched.

"You should have sent me with your soldiers, I would have collected the dragon balls while your forces were being destroyed by the namekiens and androids." He explained. "Zangya and Kugo's powers would have still increased to the levels they are at now and become perfect bodyguards for you." He lifted his head look down into his master's eyes. "You would have gained the dragon balls and I would have destroyed your last threat!"

"Why you!" Babidi intensified the magic.

Daburack's M glowed red again causing him even more pain. "Everything…. went wrong….. when you wanted to keep me here! The failure was due to your ignorance and cowardice!" The giant fought the urge to hold his head from the pain.

Babidi was livid. His creation was in as much pain as his mark can give him. And yet he's still defying him and talking back. No more of this.

The wizard kicked Daburack's shin it had no effect on him but the wizard himself felt like he just kicked a steel wall, he ignored it though a tear left his eyes, but he needed to give his minion a piece of his mind. "From now on no more of your behavior! Slaves do not speak unless spoken to, slaves obey my orders to the letter and slaves do NOT QUESTION ME!" He ignored the glare. "A slave is what you are! Understand?"

Daburack only looked down again. "Yes master." The 'M' was still glowing and he was still in pain.

Babidi looked at the servant. "Good, but the pain you feel will remain until we arrive. That is your punishment."

"Yes" The demon hera clenched his teeth as his 'M' glowed red.

"Ha!" Babidi shook his head. "Before I actually believed that you were my prize, but when I learned of the dragon balls existence, I realized I could have my Majin Buu after all! Hahahahaha!" He sees Daburack actually glaring at him and sneered. "And after today where you ruined my chance to have the dragon balls only proves my point if I had Buu he would not have failed me."

Daburack began to grind his teeth.

"Oh, stop with that face! You don't get do you? Let me spell it out for you!" The wizard scoffed. "You know what you are Daburack? Let me tell you!" He walked up right in front of him. "My father stopped creating the spell that created you because he found the formula to create the true ultimate weapon when I found out he was destroyed I was going to settle for you. That makes you an over glorified side project!"

Silence was all there was to be heard for a few endless minutes.

Zangya and Kugo silently watched scared of what might happen next.

"What nothing else to say?" Babidi smiled at Daburack's lack of words.

Daburack's glare vanished he smiled and bowed his head again. "Master Babidi I beg you for your forgiveness! I understand my flaws and wish to help you revive Majin Buu!"

The imp blinked a couple times it was quite the 180, but he grinned. "Yes, you do know your place after all don't you! But since you gave me those insulting looks after we revive Buu, I might consider ordering him to kill you. See to it that I have the dragon balls this time and perhaps I won't have you killed." He put his hands behind his back.

"Of course, my lord, however if you do not mind I'd like to do something for you."

"Hm? And what's that?"

Daburack gave a friendly smile to his master. "I will do something that will no doubt show you my respect for you as well as understand my place in life."

Babidi smiled after such disobedience from his servant it'd be good to see him do something like begging. "Oh this should be good." He cackled. "Very well show me."

"Thank you 'Master'." Daburack grinned and spat on Babidi's shirt.

Babidi looked shocked as did Zangya and Kugo.

Babidi sees his oufit starting to turn to stone. "What no! How dare you!" The wizard panicked.

"That was my respect 'Master' Babidi."

"No, no!" He wanted to take off his outfit but he felt his chest already stiffening, he tried to use his magic, but the stone kept spreading. "Stop this now!"

Daburack merely grinned and watched.

As Babidi's shoulders were turning to stone he looked to the two underlings. "Make him stop now!"

They hesitated but jumped trying to strike the fusion from behind.

Daburack didn't even turn around he only opened one hand.

Both glowed purple and stopped in midair. They couldn't move, they were ensnared by his Phsyco Thread technique.

"No! No!" The wizard felt his neck started turning to stone, he looked at his creation. "Stop this now I order you to!"

He ignored him, looked back at the remnants of his old crew and released his strings.

Zangya and Kugo looked confused they were free, they felt instincts to attack the goliath but they knew it would be useless. They just watched which is what the renegade wanted.

The wizard screamed as his chin started turning to stone. "Fine! Fine! You win! I won't revive Majin Buu you are all I need now stop this now!"

Daburack laughed. "No"

"What?!"

He had an opened smile. "I believe that your lack of taking responsibilities for your failures has shown me that you were never fit to rule the universe. Do not worry 'master' I will gladly take your place." He walked behind him.

Babidi's eyes widened he turned around before his legs turned to stone as his chin started to turn to stone. "No! Please!"

The fusion chuckled and stood in front of the throne. "That was my respect and this." He sat on it. "Is my place.

The wizard screamed one final time as his mouth turned to stone, he only saw his creation laughing sitting on the throne.

The 'M' stopped glowing his migraine stopped the veins on his body faded.

Zangya and Kugo looked shocked at this, their master now turned to stone.

He looked at the heras. "Do you understand now? Who you serve?"

The two looked at Babidi's statue the loyalty their minds still tell them to remain loyal, but they can't do a thing and were too scared of what the fusion might do. They bowed before their new master. "Yes, Lord Daburack!"

Daburack then glared. "You two should know, Bojack desires to kill you for attempting to strike me."

Both heras stayed down, they shook, they did not have the will to look him in the eye.

"Be grateful that I listen more to Dabura's side."

"Yes, Lord Daburack!" The duo still bowed.

Daburack looked down at the statue of his so-called master, right now he can hear it beg. "Such an ugly statue, however it is best to keep it, otherwise I may not stay whole." He turned his attention back to his old crew.

"Place it next to my throne, opposite of the Kai."

"Yes, my lord." They yelled.

The new master and watched the duo place the Babidi statue next to him.

Daburack looked to his right the Supreme Kai statue, he looked so hopeless, fitting for his crimes. For Dabura this Kai was one of the five who created a barrier between Demon World and this universe, for Bojack though he wasn't one of the lower kais that sealed him away, it was nice that one of higher authority would serve as decoration.

The demon hera then looked to his left, the Babidi statue, the terror in his face was just delicious. Just like the kai both sides are gracious of this, this little imp thought he could control him and replace him on a whim. And now he is just another trophy.

Daburack looked down at the duo. "Where is this ship heading to?"

Zangya looked up. "Earth" She stated. "We should be there within days my lord."

"What remains of our army?"

"My lord we have lost almost every soldier on Namek. We have a few hundred stationed here on this ship."

Daburack looked at the statue of Babidi. 'Another mistake of this incompetence.'

"Lord Daburack?" Zangya earned his attention. "Are we still heading to earth?"

"Yes a few hundred is all we will need." The fusion grinned. "Rest assured you will have your vengeance on the androids with me making orders."

"Yes, my lord!" Both bowed.

Daburack looked between the statues. "Capturing such delicious emotions and putting it in stone is a work of art is it not?"

Kugo hesitated but nodded. "Yes, my lord, they make the throne look better."

Daburack smiled. "I believe I will name them."

The duo looked confused.

The demon hera ignored and pointed at the Supreme Kai. "I will call this one Retribution, a symbol of the kai's mistake of sealing me away." He saw his crew fighting not smile at that. Then he pointed at Babidi. "And this one will be Authority, a symbol that the right to rule all in the universe is mine and mine alone." He looked over at his minion's smile begin to falter. "Of course, if you wish to rebel you can, but you know it will not end well."

Both shook their heads and bowed. "You are our true master, we will never defy you!"

Daburack now this is his rightful place. He was never meant to be anyone's lackey.

He is king of the demon realm, he was king of the Planet Hera before and after he destroyed it.

And he is and always will be king of all.

"Hahahahaha!" His laugh echoed through the ship.

Oh, Babidi there is almost no universe where you are not a victim of your own creation.

Well I'm sure all of you saw this coming or something like this coming. Some of you thought he'd kill him but remember if he dies Daburack may separate something he wouldn't want to do. Also, isn't funny how Daburack was trying to tell Babidi that he'd stay loyal if he trusted his strategies? If he had listened, he might be still sitting on the throne and not a decoration.

And also, not try to replace him with his dad's original weapon. Sadly, in this universe Buu can't be revived he was killed more than a year ago.

Guess that's all to say time for reviews responses.

AxDevilman: Not too much time to heal but who knows how long to get to earth.A month won't be enough for Trunks to catch up to Daburack it's still a surprise how this saga will end. Hope you enjoyed this and the next chapter.

Shadowwriter01: I thought of that, but then I thought it'd be better to make something similar to Goku's Instant Kamehameha against Cell.

You were partly right though the attack 16 used did cause a huge dent so it will need the dragon balls to repair the damage.

FF8cerberus: They were powering up their attacks as 16 fought Zangya and Kugo. And then during the stall with Daburack.

Well this win would have been rathe anticlimactic in a show like Dragon Ball Z, this doesn't guarantee that Trunks will have to step in or even if he does he might not be the one to do it.

Trust me you'll be happy it doesn't end here.
