Little Toy Bikers and a Woman on the Run

Chapter 425 Happy's Other Job
"
Of all the Sons of Anarchy, Happy was the best suited to riding his bike head on into the side of a hay truck and having a chance at survival. From the time he learned to ride a pedal bike, he thrived on danger from jumping off curbs to flying off ramps. He graduated to dirt bikes and finally motorcycles.
He'd been hanging around a movie set when they needed some riders. That began his part time career as a motorcycle stunt rider. He used to work regularly on a TV show a couple of years ago until it got cancelled. Mostly it was just riding with the camera on his back so the viewer couldn't see it wasn't some pampered actor. Even now, he worked a few weeks a year as a motorcycle stunt rider. The money was good and it had great health benefits.
Happy now had two choices neither one great. He could plow straight into the hay truck because he couldn't stop in time. The truck had just started in motion so it wasn't going fast but taking a full shot head on into a hay truck was going to do some serious damage. The next option was to lay down the bike in a controlled slide and use the momentum to carry him under and through the other side of the hay truck. He was wearing jeans and a hoodie over his cut, so he'd get a little scraped up but his cut and his body should survive.
He'd done some jumping stunts and even a few stunts where he'd slid under a truck. That had taken a lot of planning and safety measures. This time, he was going to have to do the stunt perfectly the first time out without any safety equipment.
His body moved automatically. He would lay the bike down and then slide under the hay truck using his momentum to come out the other side. Nice and neat. What could possibly go wrong? A lot.
He could fail to get his bike into the proper position for the slide. He'd done it dozens of times in real life and as a stunt man, he had that part covered. There might not be enough clearance for him to slide under the truck and through to the other side. There was no way of really knowing that until he was trying to slide under the hay truck. If there wasn't enough clearance, he'd just smash into the bottom of the truck. Depending on how fast and how hard he hit, he might live.
Next problem was if he managed to slide under the truck, there could be something underneath that he could get caught on and dragged. He'd have to be on guard to make sure that didn't happen.
He also had to be careful that he didn't get run over by the tires as he entered and exited the underneath of the truck.
He felt the biggest adrenalin rush of his life. This wasn't some stunt. He had one chance to get it right. He was on fire with life. This was going to be great!
Afterwards, he would have no memory of exactly what happened, but based on the results, he'd laid his bike down and perfectly and slid under and out the other side of the truck. He was just there in the middle of the two lane road, his bike scraped, it's wheels still turning, staring up at the night sky.
Kozik ran over and shut Happy's bike off before coming to check on him.
"Hey," Kozik said. "Do you know who I am?"
Happy groaned at he used his elbows to push himself into a sitting position.
"I'm the one in the accident and you don't know who the hell you are? Bro, we've got some real problems."

Author's Note: There will be a few short chapters with the MC at the hospital and then some scenes with Jax and Scarlett. You'll feel them getting closer. I really want you to feel that they are a real couple and they are together because you can feel the love between them. I hate stories where the couple are together because the writer says they are together. So I'm hoping you will feel the love.
Grace thanks for all the nice comments. I don't have tumblr and to be honest, I'm not really sure what it is or how it would help me get more readers. If you could explain either in a PM or a review, I'd appreciate it.
I'm shy and the whole social media facebook and insta is weird to me. It took me awhile before I started writing back to readers.
And it's OK if you don't like a pic. I have lots and don't mind changing. I agree that it isn't one of his best—just goes to show even the natural beauty of Charlie Hunnam can take a bad pic. I used the pic because it is one of the few with a girl and I tried to make her look a little like Scarlett. Anyway, I deleted it. You're right it was a bad pic.
Got some new pics hope you will like.
