New Game Pieces
Trunks reached into his pocket and pulled out the dragon ball that he got from Chi Chi. Baby still had the dragon radar and was likely looking for the last one. If so it'd be safer in his possession than anywhere else. Dende had asked to have it but he decided it'd be better if he had it since he and his clones can get through him with the dragon radar.
He thought of their chances. Krillin, Chiaotzu, and Piccolo were taken out. That means what they have left are Yamcha, Tenshinhan, Goku, and now, his father, and soon Gohan will be created. He fought not to squeeze and crush the dragon ball. He sighed, if only they had to just deal with new powerful enemies, it would be so simple than the task they have to go through. Who knows the enemy's numbers?
Lapis walked up to Trunks. "I know you've gotten stronger, but your sure it'll be enough?"
The half Saiyan turned to the cyborg. "Maybe not, but I know I'm strong enough to beat the fake Goku at his maximum with almost no trouble." During that fight, he was equal with his Super Kaioken.
"Rub it in why don't you?" The Cyborg rolled his eyes.
Trunks chuckled, he used to be behind both Lapis and Lazuli's power not too long ago but the Elder Kai boosting his power and the hyperbolic time chamber allowed him to close the gap and go beyond them. He admitted that it was unfair but given the circumstances, they couldn't think about fairness.
"Do you really have to go?"
Trunks turned to his wife. "As long as I have the dragon ball Baby will always find this place, it'd be better if I wasn't here."
"Do you remember when Bojack and his crew came, we split up there and you know what happened."
Trunks did, he remembered how they made a trap and they walked into it. "This is different, Baby is after the dragon balls, and he can find this place sooner or later with the radar, and it'd put Iolite in danger. At least this way Iolite will be somewhere where Baby won't find her, plus she'll be well guarded."
Lazuli nodded, she couldn't argue with that logic. "At least let me come with you."
"You should stay in case they find the lookout." He can see that she's still worrying. "If they do it means we'll have three people to protect Iolite."
She thought of Zangya, it still made her flinch at the idea of her protecting her. But after the talk and her incident, she wouldn't let her personal feelings on the matter. "But they have two strong clones going after you and another on the way."
Trunks nodded. "If they all come after me I'll raise my power level as high as it'll go, you can send help for me then."
Lazuli sighed and walked up to her husband. The two shared a brief kiss, she then reached behind his head and pulled his hair.
The half Saiyan grunted in pain and looked into his wife's eyes that gave him a good scare.
"If you die again, I'll kill you." She didn't want to have to go through with him dying again.
He didn't doubt she would find a way, with a smile he said. "Noted" He looked to Iolite who was next to Zangya.
The little girl came up to him and hugged her father.
Trunks held Iolite. "Do you remember your promise?"
Iolite groaned and really didn't want to say it, but she knew her father wouldn't let go until she said it. "I, I won't fight."
The half Saiyan was relieved to hear it, he looked to Zangya who he didn't doubt Iolite was going to spend her time with her.
Zangya gave a nod letting her way of letting him know that she'll look after her.
Trunks put a hand on his daughter's head. "Listen, if you ever have to, run to your uncle or your mother, ok?"
Iolite hesitated but she ultimately replied. "Yes"
Trunks put his little girl down and watched him run off to Zangya, he turned to Lazuli noticing it bothered her. There are bigger things to worry about, they'll settle everything after this mess was over. He turned and flew away from the lookout.
Lazuli watched her husband fly and turned to her brother and Lazuli who was standing next to Zangya. Iolite had a saddened look on her face while Zangya patted her head trying to comfort her and it was working. She squeezed her fist and walked to the other side of the lookout. She glanced over at the guardian. "Dende"
"Right" The small Namekien put his hand on the lookout floor and the lookout began to move. This was the plan, have Trunks leave with the dragon ball to lure any clones Baby had to Trunks and have him use his new power to take out 'Vegeta', 'Goku' and any other strong clones as much as possible, then have him raise his power level so Lapis and Lazuli can join in the fight should it prove too much for them as he's their strongest fighter right now. But first Lapis and Lazuli would stay behind with Zangya to keep Iolite safe, just in case Baby had any more surprises. It wasn't perfect but it felt better than waiting on the lookout all in one place for Baby to make a move, at least this way their strongest fighter can keep the dragon ball on his person without risk. They thought of keeping the ball in the time chamber to be outside of the radar's reach but they thought it'd be useless since Baby has to be aware of the time chamber at this point.
Lapis sees the anger and looked at Iolite who wasn't even looking at either her mother or uncle. He felt a bit of sadness at the sight and turned his head to look at the view over the lookout.
Zangya had Iolite in her arms and she glanced over at Lapis who wasn't even looking at her. Maybe she can do something about it.
'Dende' watched the whole thing and smirked.
'It was as you predicted sire.' The possessed Namekien told Baby telepathically.
'Good' He replied. 'And our clones?'
'Their progressing very well, two of them are almost ready, though your true body might need more time.'
'Very well, we will in act the plan soon, be ready.'
'Dende' smiled wickedly.
Trunks landed in the middle of a desert and stood on some rocks. He pulled out the dragon ball. "Ready when you are Baby."
He grew far stronger than when he fought 'Goku' and while he is increasing their power somehow, he only hoped his might would be enough.
That is to say if power was enough to stop the parasite.
Whatever it takes, whoever shows themself whether it be his father or Gohan he will destroy them and restore the earth.
In Baby's cave.
'Bulma' had come before 'Vegeta' and 'Goku' with the radar.
"It's just like you said my lord, Trunks has taken the dragon ball far away from the lookout.
"Yes, and he'll want us to take the bait." 'Goku' smirked evilly. "Unfortunate for him that I don't allow this monkey control of my actions."
'Vegeta' felt a twinge of anger hearing him say that but kept it to himself, he was a Tuffle, not a Saiyan.
"So my lord, will we begin soon?"
"Yes, tomorrow, the horror starts."
Baby laughed maniacally at that.
A day had passed, Trunks had camped out in the desert hunting and eating whatever wildlife he can.
"What's taking so long?" He asked. "Is he waiting for Gohan's clone to be completed?" He asked as he reached into his jacket to pull out the four-star ball. "He's after the dragon balls, so why hasn't he tried to face me yet?"
He must be waiting for Gohan's clone why else would he be taking his sweet time? Should he head back to the lookout? No, then he'd be putting everyone in danger. Besides, even he doesn't know where it is since Dende moved the place and he can't sense their energy right now.
Trunks resumed his meal after concluding that there was nothing he can do about it. All he can do is wait for Baby to take the bait.
Hopefully, he would anyway. Where else would he go? He can only detect the dragon ball and the lookout moved, both Zangya and Iolite had suppressed their power levels. They couldn't go anywhere else.
So he likely has some sort of plan right now.
But to his frustration, he couldn't figure out what it was. All he can do was hope that they would take the bait eventually.
Back at the lookout.
Zangya and Iolite were sitting at the edge of the lookout.
"And then when I bent the poacher's gun, it scared him so much that he ran, his pants got caught by a bush and he lost it and ran to his boat in his underwear!" The Hera giggled.
Iolite laughed loudly at the story. "Didn't he try to put his pants back on?!" She giggled.
"No! He was so terrified that he didn't notice! He just kept running!" Zangya smiled.
Iolite laughed at that. "That was funny! Do you have any other stories?"
"Well, there was one where a poacher tried to take a lemur but the little guy went in his shirt and made him dance!"
"Really?!" Iolite laughed loudly at that. "How did it do that what happened."
The woman glanced over at Lapis who was on watch over the edge like yesterday and looked back at the little girl.
"I didn't get to see it but Lapis did." She sees Iolite lost her smile but Zangya continued. "Let's go ask him." She stood up.
"Um, no I think I'm fine."
The woman saw that was coming. "You're missing out on a hilarious story it's much more fun than mine wa."
She shook her head.
Zangya knelt to the little girl. "You know Iolite, you can't avoid your family forever."
"I'm not I just... didn't feel like hearing it, that's all."
A blatant lie but it made sense. "Ok, how about I tell you another story? One about me."
"Yes please." Iolite really wanted to avoid the topic of her family.
Zangya had the perfect story to tell her. "This during my days on my home Planet Hera."
"Oh," Iolite had stars in her eyes. "You never said anything about your homeworld, my dad doesn't know about the planet grandpa Vegeta lived on."
Zangya chuckled at her enthusiasm. "See, my home planet was entering a war with another world called Planet Zeus." She began. "Our planets received demands of surrender from a new but powerful empire ruled by an evil overlord."
Iolite listened intently to the story. "An evil overlord?" She remembered the story her father told her about another empire that used to rule the galaxy. "Was it Frieza?"
"No, this emperor's name was Chilled, your uncle told me about him when I told him this story, he was a long distant relative of his." Frieza was an Arcosian name, after all, probably some ancestor from back in her time. "Anyway, Planet Zeus had agreed to Chilled's surrender but my planet Hera did not, and so Planet Zeus was charged by the empire to subjugate my planet."
"What?! Was Chilled that strong?" Iolite asked. "He had to have been stronger than Frieza!"
"Well, back then Chilled was considered strong sure, but at the time most of my people preferred to be lazy just living in luxury, we never had any reason to train until the war started," Zangya explained. "If Chilled had shown himself he would have been destroyed, when their army found out how powerful me and my crew were he took his army and left us alone." She and the rest of Bojack's crew were definitely the strongest in the universe at the time. Telling this story made her realize why the Kais had to intervene it would've taken longer for a stronger warrior to appear to stop them than it would for Chilled and his descendants.
"Oh," Iolite said. "So did you win?"
"Yes though it wasn't easy." Zangya verified. "My people were losing and needed to train as many powerful soldiers as they can, so they started looking for powerful gifted children to train."
"And you were one of them?"
Zangya nodded. "Yes though I had to be noticed, my mother encouraged me to train when I was about your age to show the army that I would be a great addition to the army."
"Your mom wanted you to join the army? But why? Isn't that dangerous?" Iolite asked not understanding why anyone would force someone her age to fight in a war since her own father wouldn't want her in this fight.
"Yes, but she told me it was to make our lives better, see we were poor, my father had been killed in an attack by Planet Zeus." She explained. "Eventually I was strong enough to be noticed and the king's soldiers came to bring me to their training course."
"And did it work, did you and your mom get a better life?"
Zangya didn't say anything for a few moments. "Well, hers was definitely better."
"What do you mean? Not yours?"
"What my mother told me was that both our lives would be better if I was strong enough, but it was a lie, what happened was the guards took me from my mother for decades and forced me in the most gruesome training sessions." She explained remembering the abusive regime their army gave to recruits' children or not. "Then by the time I was allowed to go see my mother I saw her living in luxury, she got a bigger house, servants, and the best food our planet had to offer. I found that her life had gotten better while mine was just endless fighting. And she knew that would happen."
Iolite's eyes widened. "W-what? So she lied to you! Sh-she gave you up so she can have a better life? W-why would she lie to you?"
"Because she knew I wouldn't want to train, she lied for her benefit."
"That's so wrong, I'm sorry Zangya."
She smiled and patted her head. "It's ok, it's not the worse thing that happened, I got strong and my life wasn't so terrible from then on out." She meant it to, though she won't say too much more on the things she's done, at least not yet, she thought it wouldn't do any good to tell her too much yet. "And you know my mother's biggest lie, was that she loved me and cared about me. That was what hurt me the most as a child."
Iolite looked up to her and thought of her mother. She had lied to her but she didn't use her like Zangya's used her. She looked down a bit.
"Iolite, I won't tell you to forgive your mother and uncle, but I will tell you that they did not lie about loving you."
The little girl heard that and was silent for a few seconds. "But still they, they tricked me."
"Yes but they didn't do it to use you, they did it because they care what you think of them Iolite, they care about you."
She didn't say anything but glanced to her uncle who was eyeing over the edge and the other side to see her mother doing the same thing.
"Don't you think you should try to change things back to the way they were?"
Zangya's story had a good effect on her, she wanted things to go back to normal but wasn't sure how they would. But one thing's for sure, her mother loved her, so did her uncle, so maybe it was time to fix things.
"I"
Lapis turned around. "They're coming here!"
This surprised both Zangya and Iolite as they turned to Lapis. Lazuli immediately flew next to her brother and looked ahead.
"But how?" Lazuli asked. "Dende moved the lookout and Zangya's suppressing her energy so how did they find us?"
"I don't know!"
Lazuli sees two figures flying towards them she quickly turned her head to Zangya and her daughter.
Zangya looked at the Cyborg and grabbed Iolite in her arms, she nodded her head and understood.
She turned back around at their incoming opponents, Zangya can protect Iolite if need be at least.
But to their confusion, it wasn't who they were expecting.
"Suprised?" 'Yamcha' asked with Tien at his side. And no one else.
Lapis looked around to see neither 'Goku' nor 'Vegeta' nor even 'Gohan'.
"More confused honestly, where's the rest of you?"
'Tien' chuckled. "Relax 17, we're not here for you." He looked at Iolite who was hiding behind Zangya. "We're here for her."
Of course neither of the cyborgs took that kindly. "You just came to die," Lazuli said ready to fight.
"I've already gotten a taste of it, and would rather share it."
A new voice spoke, from the lookout!
Lapis and Lazuli turned around as they did they see a figure with one rose hand.
A purple beam left his finger and raced towards Zangya, it hit threw her chest and hit the building behind her causing it to crumble.
"Zangya!" Lapis yelled in shock.
Iolite started crying and tried to help her up but Zangya pulled the little girl behind her, still able to move right.
Blood left the Hera's mouth. "I'm fine, it'll take more than to kill me." She said holding her chest where a small hole was where the attack struck. She looked to see not one but two more assailents coming from within the lookout.
"I recognize her species, she's a Hera, they're able to survive almost any fatal injury, you should have tried cutting her head off."
"How was I supposed to know that? The Hera's were long dead, why waste your time learning about them?"
"Knowledge is power little brother."
Two figures had gems on their head, wrists, and lower legs. They also had lizard-like tails and three-finger hands for feet. One of them was white, the other was purple with a white chest plate on their chest the other had a purple gem.
It was the sons of King Cold. Frieza and Cooler!
"Now then, shall we begin?" 'Frieza' asked while he chuckled as did Cooler.
Sorry guys wanted to make the chapter longer but I could not resist the cliffhanger. We're coming right back into the action.
So u guys remember Meta Cooler awhile back in the story against Broly? That shows that Cooler had been on earth and with the right gear Bulma can get her hands on Cooler's DNA.
I did think about Dabura and Bojack clones buuuut, I thought if villains are going to return they shouldn't do it in the next arc. And also I think we'd all enjoy Cooler and Frieza more, if I do it right.
I plan for these fights on more to be fun.
Also the one we've all been waiting for is almost here, Frieza and Cooler will be the last clones before Gohan.
Also I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter despite it not having much happening.
