Jay POV: Cole and I worked through the warehouses as fast as we could because too much time has passed. I knew about the potential torture and how Nya didn't know about it, though I doubt that's the case. He and I both hoped that we would find him instead of her. Because that's the last thing that she needed. And we both really wanted to save him before things got really bad for him.

Plus, I know Nya, so I know that she was blaming herself for all of this. It might be subtle and she might not realize it herself, but that's how she's feeling. Maybe finding him will keep that guilt from getting worse. Though, at this rate, I'm starting to think that won't happen.

At least, that's what I thought until we got to the latest place. I know that it's just a feeling, but it just feels like this might be it. And the broken window helps to verify it.

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" I asked Cole.

"I think so. Let's go through the roof." He answered, and I nodded.

But we didn't even get to do that, because one of them walked out. We immediately hid and the guy started to pace a little. He seemed really worried about something, which I can't blame him since we're here right now. The second he turned away from us Cole jumped out and surprised him, taking him down in the process. He screamed from that, but I quickly covered his mouth. We didn't need the other guy to help him. We quickly tied him up and set him up against the wall. Thankfully, he didn't call out to his partner as he did. But he did look at us as we stared at me once we were done. Hopefully the other guy will be just as easy.

"Thanks for making this easy for us. Now, where is the Fire Ninja?" I asked once he realized that it was us.

That statement made him really nervous and he looked away. But he didn't say anything, so Cole added. "It would help you out if you just tell us what we want to know."

He got even more nervous, before peaked at the door he walked out of. I'm starting to think he might be afraid of his partner. Maybe he was the one who came up with this plan. It took him shuffling around a bit more before he finally said, "He's in there. The third farthest room on the second floor."

"Thank you. What about your friend? Where is he?" I asked, and that got him scared.

"I can't tell you that! He'll pick me apart if he thinks I ratted him out. You don't know what he's capable of." He quickly said, clearly terrified.

I was a little caught off-guard by that. Cole and I shared a look, but the answer was clear. This guy needed to go down, but we also had to help this guy with this. He may have captured Kai, but it clearly wasn't something that he did willingly.

"Alright, we'll make sure that you're protected from him. But only if you help us here." Cole stated, getting him to look at him.

It looked like he was having a debate with himself, but eventually spilled. "Ok, he's pacing around on the walkway. It's right in the middle, and he has really good hearing."

I nodded and responded, "Alright, thanks. You just chill here and we'll be back for you."

"...Just so you know, he was the one who had the idea. I didn't want to do it."

We both got confused and Cole had to ask. "What are you talking about?"

Instead of answering he just looked away. With an obvious look on his face that said he didn't want to talk about it. Though we can worry about that later. After I made sure that he wasn't going anywhere we both quietly entered the building.

He wasn't lying when he said that his partner was pacing. But what he didn't mention was how he was clearly mad. Even from the ground I could hear him growling and talking angrily to himself. Mostly about how stubborn Kai is being with him. I wanted to laugh, since that sounds exactly like him, but I remember what the other guy said.

Cole and I looked at each other, and we got the plan. Surround him from both sides and take him down, nice and simple. We nodded and quickly separated, which was easy since he was distracting himself. Once I was in position I looked over at Cole. He had to wait since the guy was facing that way, but the second he looked away Cole jumped up. I followed and we made ourselves known.

He was shocked when he saw me. He tried to run the other way, but the second he turned Cole was there. And he got really mad once he realized that he was caught.

"I'm going to eviscerate him. That little snitch." He snarled, glaring at us.

"I don't know what you're talking about. But the quicker you surrender, the faster we can find your friend." I said, pulling out my nunchucks.

He looked a bit more relaxed after I said that. I guess he believed my lie, your welcome criminal partner. Though he was very much still upset with us.

"I won't. Not when I'm so close." He growled, and rushed at Cole.

But Cole wasn't startled by this, and blocked his blow. I followed and aimed at his back, however he turned suddenly. Knocking me away, and I had to catch myself before I went over the edge. Though I did lose my weapon, fortunately it didn't break. I looked back at Cole, and he was handling him. They were trading blows fast, but Cole was faster. Eventually he managed to get a good blow on his stomach. Efficiently knocking him and ending this, and making it even more clear that he caught Kai by surprise. There's no way that Kai couldn't handle these guys.

Cole sighed deeply and said, "Now we just have to find Kai."

That's when we heard something. It sounded like something hit the railing. We quickly looked, but I wasn't expecting what we saw.

Kai POV: Even though I passed out there was a dull pain that ached everywhere. Maybe I wasn't fully out, not that it really matters since I was forcing myself awake. I may not have a lot of strength right now, but I had to get out. And since I wasn't tied up anymore I had a chance. The only thing was my arms.

I didn't want to, but I had to look at them. They were bleeding really badly and there was no sign of normal skin because of that. But the marks from the chains were extremely obvious. They were swelling a bit and blood was pooling from the open flesh. That's all I can see since they were shaking hard, and I had a bit of blurry vision.

It hurt really bad, but I pushed myself up until I was standing. But I had to use the wall to stay standing. With its help I managed to make it to the door, but that came with another challenge. My legs could barely support me and I could barely move my hands. And I don't think it will be easy as it should be. But I had to get out of this room.

Leaning against the door I used both hands, which extremely hurt, I barely managed to open it. However, I forgot I was leaning against it. I stumbled and ran into the railing, somehow I managed to catch myself. However, I erupted into a coughing fit. I couldn't stop for the longest time until it stopped, and felt blood coming from my mouth.

And that's also when I felt a hand on the shoulder and I looked a little bit since everything was hurting even more. It was Cole with Jay behind him, and they both looked concerned and terrified. But all I cared about was the fact they were here. Even though I could feel myself blacking out again fast.

"Took you guys long enough." I managed to choke out before I lost consciousness.

Cole POV: I caught Kai when he started to fall, but I didn't stop staring at him. He was covered in blood and bruises, not to mention that his arms were completely messed up. And he made a joke despite all of this? But how, in a short amount of time, did these two guys manage to do all of this? What could be worth this much torture?

"Um… should we get him out of here?" Jay said, and I looked at him.

He looked like how I felt, completely terrified and worried. We've all been injured badly, but this was on a different level. However, I had to keep it together for Jay since he was already done.

I sighed a little and said, "Go outside and call Zane. We need him to get the Bounty here as fast as he can get it."

He nodded and quickly ran out the way we came. I looked back down at Kai, who was wheezing a little. I gently squeezed his good shoulder and whispered, "Just hang in there Kai, we'll take care of you. But only if you make it."
