Hi everybody! I know, I know I'm sorry, I was a bit late AGAIN. But now I have more time to write chapters to OT, I'll explain why after the chapter, just please enjoy.
Mutual Strike
Lapis and Lazuli looked at each other and nodded. They took their stances against the Arcosian siblings.
"Let's kill these two already, I want to end the Vegeta bloodline properly!" 'Frieza' yelled.
"Because you've done a great job last time?" 'Cooler' asked sarcastically.
The younger brother glared at him but focused on his target, and flew at them with 'Cooler' at his side.
The human cyborg sibling duo charged at the Arcosian cyborg duo.
And just as they were about to collide.
Lapis and Lazuli immediately switched opponents.
'Cooler' was a bit surprised as Lapis appeared in front of him and punched him in the stomach.
'Frieza' was also caught off guard and Lazuli kicked across his head.
The two brothers were caught off guard by the switch-up of their opponents.
Enraged 'Cooler' tried to raise his hand to fire a death beam aimed at Lapis.
But Lazuli dashed at him and kicked his arm that was going to fire his death beam.
"Aggh!"
Frieza was about to throw a punch at Lazuli but Lapis dashed at him with a strong kick to his face and it sent him flying, then he fired a Ki blast at Cooler's face sending him away as well.
Lapis and Lazuli floated side by side as they observed the brothers recovering from the attacks.
"Would you keep an eye on your opponent!" Cooler yelled.
"What about you?!" Frieza yelled back.
Lapis smirked, his suspicions were correct, while the Cold brothers were stronger than they were, the two don't get along even if it would benefit them in battle, he and his sister were able to fight together in perfect sync. It's the perfect equalizer in this fight, if they fought together they can win.
The Cold brothers charged at them enraged that Lapis and Lazuli were able to get the better of them.
Lazuli had her hands aimed at them preparing with a pink ball between her hands preparing an Infinity Bullet.
Just as she did Lapis flew above her with his hands on his forehead. "Solar Flare!"
The two Arcosians yelled as they were blinded.
And Lazuli fired her Infinity Bullet, multiple pink energy blasts were fired from her hands.
'Frieza' and 'Cooler' were hit by the blasts barely able to block the surprise attack.
Lazuli sees them falling back from the attack while still holding their eyes.
Lapis floated by her. "Just like we thought, these two don't really know how to fight together as we do."
His sister nodded and took her stance. "Let's finish this now Lapis."
"Right" He took his own stance and charged at their opponents with his sister at his side.
Iolite and Zangya looked afraid looking at the man standing in front of him. Zangya knew that he was stronger than her at full strength and she was still exhausted from 'Frieza's surprise attack and her fight with the Tuffle humans.
Baby in Goku's body looked down at his prey and he looked to the side to sense someone coming. 'Damn, Vegeta couldn't hold Trunks as long as I hoped, and he's racing his way here, better finish this quickly.'
'Goku' grabbed Iolite quicker than the exhausted Zangya could react by her neck.
Iolite yelled and thrashed in 'Goku's grip.
Zangya sees the little girl struggle in 'Goku's hand. "S-stop!" She yelled exhausted.
'Goku' eyed the alien and smirked. "Oh right, I better take care of you too, you're more of a problem than I gave you credit for. Sorry but I'm in a hurry and I can't afford your technique to be around." He aimed his hand at her ready to finish her.
Iolite reacted quickly and performed familiar arm movements.
'Goku' stared back at Iolite as she aimed her hands at his face.
"Burning Attack!"
'Goku' was blasted in the face but was unaffected by the blast even in his base a fledgling Super Saiyan couldn't do much to his enhanced body.
And to his surprise, he was punched in the face but not by Iolite but by Zangya.
'Goku' let go of Iolite as the blow managed to push him back.
Zangya looked back at Iolite. "Run now!"
"No, I ca-!"
Before she can finish 'Goku' appeared behind Zangya and he threw a punch into her back.
Blood left Zangya's mouth.
Iolite looked horrified at what she was seeing.
The Hera looked down to see Baby Goku's fist going through her back and going to her stomach.
'Goku' smirked at the green woman. "Didn't I tell you I was in a hurry?"
Zangya rose her hand and fired a Ki blast and it flew past Baby Goku's shoulder and hit a part of the Lookout.
"Looks like you missed." 'Goku' smirked he then pulled back his hand and stomped her back making her go down with a hole on her stomach.
"Zangya!" Iolite was going to try to intervene but she was stopped when she heard a voice in her head, it was Zangya using telepathy.
'Iolite! Your father's almost here run I'll be fine!'
Iolite stopped and looked at Zanngya the woman she looked up to, loved talking to looked to be in so much pain. But knowing she couldn't do anything and that her father was almost here, she knew what she had to do Iolite turned in the direction of her father. He can save her she knows that.
"No, you don't!" 'Goku' was about to fly to her but he was stopped. He looked down to see Zangya grabbing his boot. "Just bleed out and die, I'm in no mood to-"
Zangya smirked, she was a bit sad that she lied to Iolite, but at least she managed to save her. "You said you didn't think I'd be much of a problem, you have no idea how much of an understatement that is!" Her body began to glow green. She hoped that Ki blast she fired earlier hit her target, at the very least she managed to save Iolite. That's something right? She hoped she earned enough good points to be brought back to life.
'Goku' yelled as Zangya exploded in a brilliant green light.
Iolite was just away from the lookout when the green explosion grew close to her, it blew her away as she was blown away she looked at the explosion. "Z-Zangya!" The explosion was strong enough to force someone of Iolite's strength to launch further away she couldn't go back even if she wanted to.
'Goku' was in tatters, he had to go Super Saiyan to stop the damage, he looked around at the explosion to see a huge chunk of the lookout was destroyed, he looked ahead to sense where Iolite was headed. "Damn it! I couldn't get the girl but oh well."
'Dende' ran out of the lookout with 'Mr Popo' to Baby.
"Lord Baby! We-"
Baby interrupted. "I know, you've been found out, we best leave now."
"My lord that's not all it-"
"Tell me when we're gone!" He put his hand on 'Dende's shoulder as Mr. Popo grabbed 'Goku's other shoulder.
'Goku' looked ahead to see Trunks on his way and smiled. "Be ready Saiyans my true body is about to be ready!" He cackled as he vanished.
Iolite finally stopped and felt familiar hands under her arms.
"Iolite are you alright?" Trunks asked in a worried voice.
Iolite looked at her father and began crying. "D-daddy, Z-Zangya s-she's"
Trunks hugged his child closely and let her sob it out. Yes, Zangya can be revived with the dragon balls, he can tell her that, but she was still only six, and seeing someone die still hurt, and someone you care about die was far worse. "I'm sorry Iolite, I'm here now." He turned in the direction of the lookout and doesn't see anyone on it, he was too late, 'Goku' was already gone.
'Damn it!' He cursed at himself, clearly, this was a trap and he fell for it! How many times is he going to be fooled! He has no excuse because of him an ally is dead and his daughter was in danger. He wanted to look for his wife and Lapis but he couldn't leave his daughter alone after all this and he can't sense their energy so he has no way to find them.
He put his hand on Iolite's head trying to comfort his daughter and waited close to the lookout. 'I can't risk putting her in any more danger if only 16 were here! Lapis, Lazuli please be alright!'
'Frieza' and 'Cooler' were being overwhelmed by the twins, both were stronger than the twins but not by too much also they were a formidable team, far better than 'Cooler' and 'Frieza' ever were.
"You two think you've won!" 'Cooler' yelled with half his faceplate broken showing a fanged frown. "You are inferior life forms you are nothing compared to us!"
"Then why don't you show us?" Lapis smirked as he charged at the two with Lazuli at his side, then just as the two were within striking distance they vanished and appeared all over the place with after images, it was the technique they used on Paragas years ago the Accel Afterimage.
Frustrated 'Frieza' threw a punch only to hit an afterimage of Lazuli and Lapis appeared behind him and elbowed down on his head.
'Cooler' was more level headed and formed a shield around himself blocking whatever strikes the brothers throw at him, he angrily looked at his brother to be suffering hit after hit, he would've left his brother to die but acknowledged that he needed him, otherwise he'll be destroyed again. He extended the shield to surround his brother as well.
'Frieza' glared at his elder brother. "Out of my way fool! I don't need your help!"
"Clearly you do!" 'Cooler' yelled back. "Now shut up! We are playing into their hands so use your head while I shield us from them!"
'Frieza' wanted to yell back but knew he was right, these two are clearly too much to fight together. He looked around to see them attacking the shield surrounding them and it started to crack while hiding among the afterimages. Their fast, the key to stopping them is by keeping them from moving. The younger brother smiled. "Lower the shield I have it!" He yelled as he aimed his hands forward with his fingers aimed forward.
Instead of arguing, 'Cooler' lowered the shield thinking that his brother better not just be letting them be defenseless.
Before the twins could take advantage of the lowered defense 'Frieza' started firing multiple death beams from his fingers.
The beams surrounded the duo in a small cage made of purple beams.
Lazuli stopped as her back hit a beam fired from 'Frieza' and Lapis stopped as well realizing the 'Frieza' had pretty much negated their technique by keeping them in a small space.
'Cooler' blitzed in front of the duo laughed and punch across Lapis's face and kneed Lazuli in the gut.
The twins hit the beams behind them as they got hit by his attacks.
'Frieza' chuckled as they got one-up on their opponents.
'Cooler' was about to throw another punch to Lapis, but Lazuli threw a kick aiming for his arm.
But 'Frieza' appeared beside her and grabbed her leg with his tail.
Lazuli looked at the clone surprised to see him defend his brother.
'Frieza' smirked as he smashed his fist across her face as 'Cooler' landed one into Lapis' stomach.
The twins were sent flying but caught themselves in mid-air. They both knew this was bad, they had an advantage with their teamwork but now that they were starting to work together they were losing their edge.
Frieza lifted his arms as large boulders gathered near him and he threw them towards the twins.
Both the twins knew they could survive this but to their surprise, the boulders were not thrown at them they surrounded them similar to the attack 'Piccolo' used on Lapis.
The two were about to destroy the boulders but they hear jumping behind them, and then it accelerated around them.
'Cooler' was jumping between the boulders and threw himself down to punch Lapis across the face, then he jumped again to knee Lazuli's back. The boulders were being held by 'Frieza' while 'Cooler' was using them as jumping platforms, with the artificial energy he was able to remain hidden and attack the twins from multiple angles.
Lapis and Lazuli were quick to defend themselves though as they performed their Android Barriers at once creating an impenetrable shield.
'Cooler's' foot landed on the shield and was frustrated that he was stopped.
Lapis smirked and looked at his sister. "Sis, I've improved my barrier now you can fire attacks from the inside while we take nothing from the out."
Lazuli heard this and smirked, she stopped down her part of the barrier and aimed her hands, to fire a pink energy ball at 'Cooler'.
The Power Blitz hit 'Cooler' blasting him through the boulders and landing beside 'Frieza'.
He stopped focusing on levitating getting ready to defend himself.
But as Lapis and Lazuli appeared from the smoke, 'Goku' appeared behind the cloned brothers.
'Cooler' turned to the main host and growled. "What are you doing mon-" He stopped himself midsentence fighting the instincts. "L-Lord Baby, why are you here?"
'Goku' glared at 'Cooler' and eyed the two androids. "You two should've finished them at this point, man, guess it might've been a mistake to clone you." He said making both brothers fearful of him. "Luckily for you, I might need you, so let's go."
The clone of Goku smiled at the Androids. "The nightmare will begin soon." He put his fingers to his head as the Arcosian brothers put their hands on his shoulders.
The twins fired energy attacks only for the trio to vanish out of sight creating explosions at the ground they were standing on.
"Damn, couldn't even kill those two," Lapis noted.
"At least we're alive, come on I can sense Trunks with Iolite he's probably wondering where we are."
He nodded and was going to head in their direction but stopped when he noticed something. Zangya, he couldn't feel her energy, he shook it off she's probably suppressing her energy on the lookout, that has to be it. He flew beside his sister towards the lookout.
Trunks was on the lookout holding onto Iolite, he couldn't sense Dende or Mr. Popo anywhere, he only hoped they got away. But then he began to wonder, how did they know where the lookout was? Could they have been on the lookout after all? He squeezed his fists, they really did have all the cards in this.
And he turns when he sees two figures approaching the lookout, he holds her close and eyed the duo threatening to use his Ulitmate Form. But to his relief, it was who he hoped it would be.
Lapis and Lazuli arrived at the lookout.
Lazuli sees her daughter crying into Trunks's arms, she knew her daughter wanted space but she didn't care she ran and wrapped her arms around her husband with her daughter in between.
Iolite looked at her mother, for the moment she was forgetting what her parents had done and were glad that she was here.
Lapis looked at his niece who was crying and was relieved to see that she was unharmed and was welcoming her mother's embrace. But then he looked around to see Zangya was not there. No one said anything, he knew what happened and who died. It pained him to know that she was dead, he squeezed his fists angrily.
"Iolite, it's ok we're here," Lazuli told her daughter, she knew what must've happened, Zangya had protected Iolite and must've died in the process.
"M-mom, sh- she protected me, s-she said she would be fine that dad was coming but-" She couldn't finish hurt that Zangya lied to her but she knew she did it to keep her safe and was so confused at how to feel about this.
"I'm sorry Iolite." Trunks said softly. "We promise we'll revive her with the dragon balls."
Iolite was still crying and wiping her eyes angry at herself for not being able to save Zangya, she thought she saved her but all she did was delay it. She wished she was stronger like her father, strong enough to make a difference, but she had to be strong she had to say something important.
"Zangya, s-she said that she thought that Dende was being controlled by Baby like grandma."
Lazuli looked at Iolite and back at Lapis.
The brother looked a bit surprised but realized it made sense.
Trunks wasn't so much he was already starting to suspect it when he couldn't think of any other way for them to know the location of the lookout after Dende had moved it, and he couldn't sense him or Mr. Popo. How long did they have the guardian under their control? Damn it!
"When could it have happened?" Lazuli asked while trying to comfort her daughter.
"It must've been before the first clones came." Lapis rationalized.
It was starting to make sense how they were one step ahead of them, the sacred water they were ready for it and Dende likely just gave them vials of regular water in case they made the clones take it.
Trunks was in a rage at all this, it answered so many questions.
He then noticed Iolite was still sobbing and held her close, they all silently agreed to continue talking once she calmed down.
Inside the time chamber.
The clone of Gohan was released from the Cell Replicator and walked out.
It looked like Gohan as he died, the Gi of his father, the scar on his face was included on purpose to further the torture of Trunks, 17 and 18. The only difference was that it had both arms, it had a vacant expression.
It had no thoughts only a mission to find and become a body for Lord Baby. It walked to the door and pulled the handle.
But it wouldn't move, he pulled again and it wouldn't budge.
The clone tilted its head, its limited mind wondered why it wouldn't open. It didn't matter, it looked around as if searching for a second exit, it was limited to its programming find Lord Baby at all cost.
In a faraway cave.
'Goku' had appeared with the Cold brothers as they recovered by 'Dende' he smiled waiting for the signal.
The clone is ready now, I know it, it must be trying to find a way to sneak away. After all, Trunks had gained a good amount of power and it was designed to find him once it was ready.
"M-my lord"
Baby was annoyed as he turned to 'Dende' he was patiently waiting for his main body to be ready and the slug interrupted him."What is it Dende?" He asked irritated.
'Dende' was nervous and explained. "M-my lord I was going to tell you that something happened to the time chamber."
Baby began to panic. "What? What do you mean?!"
Once Iolite had begun to calm down she had been placed in a bed, she was exhausted after the whole day.
Lazuli stroked Iolite's head with a sad expression. "I wanted to kill Zangya, but she died protecting our daughter."
Trunks looked at his wife seeing the guilt she had, he placed a hand on her shoulder. "It's ok, you had your reasons and you can make it up to her when she's brought back to life."
She never would've thought that she'd want that. She was wrong about Zangya, she had clung to a grudge that might've gotten in the way of dealing with Baby. She'll do her best to move past it to work together with her from now on just as her husband moved on from what she and her brother had done under Gero's control.
The duo turned to see Lapis standing in the doorway.
"Hey, you should take a look at something."
Trunks looked at Lazuli and she nodded silently agreeing to stay behind to watch their daughter.
The half Saiyan followed Lapis into the lookout.
"Remember how you said that it would take a while to make clones and they were producing them too quickly?"
"I do." Trunks replied.
"Now that we know they had Dende I think it's clear how."
Trunks looked at him for a second before realizing. "The time chamber, of course. Dende would tell Baby when we were in and out of it and would be able to use it." He couldn't believe it, Baby was creating the clones right here under their noses.
"Yeah and I think Zangya realized that too." He replied as he stopped.
Trunks stopped right next to him and he sees a hole coming from the wall behind them and to the door in front of him.
The time chamber's entrance was destroyed.
The Cold brother eyed Baby but said nothing, while they were not content with obeying someone who wears Goku's face they were aware that he was their lord and not to test his wrath... for now.
"The time chamber's entrance was destroyed as the body was ready! I'm sorry my lord!"
Baby Goku glared at that, his pupils dilated. "What?! But when would-" He stopped when he remembered that Ki blast that flew over his shoulder that Zangya fired. "No, that woman she, she destroyed it!"
Trunks looked at the destroyed entrance. "Zangya destroyed the entrance."
"Yeah, my guess is she did it right before she died, she must've thought that while saving Iolite."
The half Saiyan thought of the next clone that would've been created, Gohan. "I'm glad that she trapped it but maybe it would've been safer for me to go in and destroy it before it was ready?"
"She was probably afraid that the clone was almost ready and didn't want to risk it, we have no idea how strong the clone would be, this way even if it did get ready he has no way out."
Trunks smiled. "Your right, Zangya did one last good deed, now Baby doesn't have his machine all we have to do is find him destroy him and the remaining clones, then we can find the sacred water cure Dende and anyone who might've been affected." He avoided a fight to the death with a clone of his adopted brother, he felt a huge weight off his shoulders, he'll thank Zangya properly when she's revived.
Lapis nodded with a smirk, he was glad that Zangya had thought of helping them even in their last moments.
Back in the cave Baby Goku was angry, he powered up his pink aura was shaking the area around them. "Damn her, damn her, damn her, DAMN HER!" He had planned everything, created these clones, was readying the perfect vessel! The perfect punishment for the Androids who were just like the Saiyans, and the last of filthy royal monkeys! And now it's locked away unable to be of use!
'Bulma' looked at Baby Goku getting angry alongside Vegeta.
'Vegeta' turned to 'Bulma'. "Perhaps you should tell him what you have done."
"I will as soon as our Lord has calmed down." She replied.
Baby inside of Goku's clone was so angry, the body was now gone but he wasn't. Maybe he can't match Trunks but with his plans maybe he won't need it, he just needs the dragon balls and then he will have justice for the Tuffles and humans of this planet.
Ok so guys I'm sorry as usual about the long wait but I've got good news. My other story One's Own Path is on hiatus because its first arc was finished. For those of you who don't know One's Own Path is my DBZ x RWBY story where a weak Saiyan goes to Remnant. If that sounds appealing to you check it out, or if it's not for you, or you tried it and it didn't meet your standards, don't worry about it totally cool, you can stay right here and I'll try to entertain you as best I can.
So since One's own path is on hiatus I can focus on DBOT. I am going to focus on this story until the current arc is finished and then I will focus on One's Own Path next saga until it's finished then come back to OT. I think this'll be better for both stories.
You guys are really patient and I promise that I will focus on this story until the arc is finished, and I will not stop working on this story until I can give it a proper ending.
Anyway, I hope you guys enjoyed the chapter and are looking forward to more, now that I only have one story to focus on I'm hoping to update more regularly. Also I'm going to work on art for this story, I'm going to make a new cover art for this story with Iolite and Zangya in the background, I can't promise when that will be ready but it will finish before the end of this arc.

shadowwriter01: Your right I didn't think of that I'll be sure to fix that. Ch79, The copies have a failsafe in case they act on 'ideas'. Their free to think of ways to backstab but the clones have a programming that restricts them from doing can say Bulma learned from Dr Gero's errors.

warriorofdark: If I was to do a Goku Black arc I would make it different. Gohan Black sounds cool but that's someone else's shtick, "Sometimes Darkness Can See The Light" and we already have Baby Gohan who is trapped in the chamber for the moment, so I don't see any Gohan Black happening it'd be too repetitive.
