Little Toy Bikers and a Woman on the Run

Chapter 433 Kidnap or Run

"

Esai's heart almost beat out of his chest when he found himself being chased by two Sons. Damn that had been close. He'd made it around the hay truck with barely an inch to spare. He turned his head just in time to see the guy following him go down on his bike and under the hay truck. Hopefully that meant one less Son for him to kill.

He hadn't expected them to be waiting outside the chair factory. When they didn't show, he figured that they weren't going to follow up on the lead. The Sons were a lot smarter than he gave them credit for. Underestimating them was a damned good way to get dead.

He dumped the stolen bike, walked a couple of blocks to his little car, hit the McDonald's drive thru and driven to his dirty seedy motel room on the outskirts of Oakland. He dug into his favorite fast food meal a Big Mac, French fries and a vanilla shake. It was the perfect combo of sweet, salty and savory.

Fortified with junk food and a few of the excellent homemade tasting chocolate chip cookies from McDonald's, he laid back propped up by pillows and watched TV without really seeing it. His mind was on his future and whether or not he had one.

He needed to make a choice keep going after the Sons or get the hell out of Cali. After today's disaster, maybe it was healthier for him to just get the hell out and go somewhere. Not Mexico. He'd have to be careful to avoid family. Instead he could go to another state for a fresh start with a new name and live a new life for a year or so. Maybe by then, the Mayans and Sons would be at war again and his father would beg him to come back and help him kill the Sons.

He hated the idea of running away even if it were only for a year. It felt like an insult to his manhood to leave. It made the Sons the winner and him the biggest loser.

He didn't think he could leave. His pride wouldn't allow it unless he did something that would fuck up the Sons by either killing one of them or kidnapping Clay or Jax's old lady and trading her for a Son, money or both. It was going to take a couple of thousand dollars to give him the start he was going to need when he left Cali.

Time was ticking and he was going to need money. He had few options. Was there anyone he knew that he could trust to give him some money without ratting him out to his father? He definitely couldn't go to a Mayan. He needed just a little money to get him through the next few weeks while he waited for the perfect opportunity to grab an old lady and really make the Sons pay.

They would never expect him to grab an old lady. Family was typically excluded from MC violence. Well, that was just too damned bad. He didn't care about the rules or accepted norms.

He wanted money and revenge. Then and only then he would leave the state on his own terms.
