Journey Through Time
Shorz was using a screwdriver to work on the gauntlet he made under the watch of his grandmother.
"Like this?" He asked looking up at the blue-haired woman.
"Yes," Bulma said smiling. "These shock absorbers should help with the recoil, and don't forget to place the energy absorbers higher up the glove so it doesn't get destroyed."
The young genius nodded and followed his grandmother's instructions.
"So do you have a new name for it now?"
"I do!" He yelled deciding to rename it. "I now call it the Stockpile Gauntlet, since it stockpiles Ki for later."
Bulma smiled at the enthusiasm of her grandson and giggled while placing a hand on his shoulder. "I think I like Might Lender better! It was so cute just like you!" She pulled his cheeks.
"Grandma stop it!" He yelled as his cheeks were being pulled.
Bulma chuckled as she finally stopped and smiled.
"Alright since it's ready let's call your sister." She said to him. "I think she's in the gravity room."
"I'll get her!" Shorz yelled running clearly excited to test his invention.
Bulma chuckled watching her grandson running to test his own invention.
She was sad that her first grandchild didn't inherit her side of the family's drive to invent even though it was good to see Vegeta's stubbornness carry on to Iolite. And now she had Shorz someone who shared her same passion for inventing.
Shorz walked in with Iolite next to her who was in her workout clothes drinking water.
"Come on sis! I need to see if it works."
After Iolite drank her water she laughed and tossed it in the recycling. "Alright, hand it to me." She said smiling at her younger siblings excitement.
Shorz happily gave Iolite the Stockpile Gauntlet.
Once Iolite placed it on she looked at it and at Shorz.
"So, what do I do? I just blast with this on?"
"Yes" Shorz said. "But keep your eye on the bar on the side of it so it doesn't overload."
She turned at the wrist and saw the bar no doubt the Ki it would store.
"Ok" Iolite focused her Ki as instructed and watched as the bar filled with energy, it only filled a small amount it.
She was surprised she didn't think it could take so much.
"Don't worry it should be strong enough to handle Ki in your base form." He said smiling.
Iolite started focusing more Ki enough to be a powerful wave of energy that can damage her in base.
The bar filled up without issue.
"Wow Shorz I didn't think it can take this much." She said to him impressed and looked at Bulma. "Wanna test it grandma?"
"Sure" Bulma said holding her hand out.
Shorz looked a bit scared. "Uh grandma, are you sure?" He asked not sure if he wants to test the recoil on her.
"Come on Shorz we did this together I'm sure that it'll work." She said before putting the gauntlet on.
Shorz nervously watched as Bulma got ready with the gauntlet and aimed it at a target.
Iolite placed a comforting hand on his shoulder.
He looked up at his sister who smiled as if saying that their grandmother knew what she was doing.
Bulma then pushed her hand which activated the Stockpile Gauntlet and fired a powerful energy wave using the power it stored for Iolite.
It destroyed the target and noticeably Bulma wasn't affected by it.
Shorz was smiling seeing his invention worked.
Bulma turned and smiled. "See no recoil, you did really good Shorz even your great grandfather couldn't do this."
Shorz laughed happily.
His sister laughed while ruffling his hair. "See you're a real brainiac buddy."
Shots got embarrassed from the praise and tried to push her away.
Bulma chuckled watching her grandchildren horseplay.
While looking at the gauntlet happy to see Shorz's first successful invention she wondered what else he'll invent when he's older.
"By the way grandma I wanted to ask something." Shorz said when his sister let him go and focused on her. "I noticed you were working on something a bit ago, what was it? Was it working on AI?"
He noticed, she looked at Iolite for a few seconds before smiling.
"It's a surprise don't worry about it." She didn't want to bring any hopes up in case she can't do it. "Now come on how about some ice cream before you guys go back home!"
"Yeah!" He yelled while Iolite laughed at him.
The trio walked away while Bulma looked at her computer at the code, she had restored from the surviving chip of 16.
Just a bit more and then their family will be reunited.
"Hey grandma think we can make the gauntlet take Energy from a Super Saiyan."
"Anything's possible." Bulma chuckled.
Iolite looked at her brother and said. "You should focus on your training as much as you do with your inventing, you probably could've beaten Joyaku if you had."
"Hey he cheated."
"Sure" The purple haired girl said giggling at her brother acting angry.
The trio would enjoy their time and hopefully Bulma will be able to add one more and have Shorz meet his uncle he only heard of in stories.
11 Years Ago
Meta 13's head was on the ground, and he panicked seeing 16's blasters aimed at him. He wasn't sure if Paragas had anymore use for him and didn't want to risk him deleting him in case he had plans.
16 fired his Hell Flash down on his head aiming to destroy,
13 screamed as he was going to lose any chance to follow his plans.
Just then his eyes closed, he seemed to have stopped functioning.
Android 13's eyes opened, he had an expression of surprise, he thought he'd be destroyed.
His darted around to see a red stained cave, for a moment he thought 16 had blasted him here.
But then he felt something unusual.
His body, he didn't regenerate his body, he can't even now.
"Oh, good you're still functioning."
The Android stopped and watched as someone came into view.
It was a woman with long brown hair with glasses, wearing a lab coat over a red and blue outfit.
"What in tarnation?" He asked in his southern accent. "Who the hell are you, and where am I?"
21 giggled at how the Android seemed threatening even though he was just a head.
"We haven't been introduced, Android 13, last time we met you were offline in Gero's lab."
"Say what?" He asked, his eyes glowed red as he scanned the woman. "What, you're an Android? But I thought the doctor was done in? Wait, the computer, did it do this?"
"No Dr Gero's computer was destroyed before it was able to finish me." She explained. "I'm working with a new partner."
"Partner? Who?"
21 merely lifted a hand showing a button.
"Hey wait what's-"
She pressed the button turning 13 offline.
"Sorry 13, I only needed to make sure that you were able to function, now I just need to add some better programming software before allowing your body to restore."
The Android's head didn't responding as 21 was typing on a computer she watched as the Android's body turned to wires and slowly build back his body while he wasn't functioning.
"Fascinating, this metal and regenerating is astounding." She noted. "I'm sure I can replicate it for 14 and 15."
From behind Towa walked behind 21.
The demon smirked as she looked over a clipboard to blueprints for the androids.
"How strong can you make him?"
"Not enough." She said as she looked at the blueprints. "We can only make 13 so strong in a short amount of time, I can see more potential in the others but with how much Trunks has had, I doubt making them strong enough to put even a dent in him would be simple." She frowned saying that.
"If that's the case we can search through the timelines to find any upgrades we haven't thought of." Towa suggested.
"True" 21 admitted. "Or better yet maybe it's time we take stronger allies." She suggested.
"Not yet." She said to her. "Before we can do that, we need to find a place to continue our work, somewhere that the gods cannot find us, I don't want to risk the Supreme Kai telling them what we're doing, we'd be stopped before we can accomplish anything."
Or much worse, that he would alert Beerus of her time travel, there'd be nothing she could do to stop him.
"I feel like we can make the most out of a few timelines." 21 pointed out. "We can also reuse the one you created." She looked at 17 and 18 still sleeping.
Towa agreed but felt like that wasn't enough. She needed to access more timelines, but she needed a place where the gods cannot find her, the demon realm won't be a good enough hiding place.
There is one that might know how to.
She didn't want to resort to it, it was one thing that put a rift between herself and her brother.
"I do have something that should still get use out of these timelines without visiting them." The demon said. "Now do you have what I asked for?"
Android 21 held up a container.
"Here ya go, all programmed and ready to go." She bragged.
Towa took the container and walked to the Time Machine.
The demon got in the Time Machine and pressed a button.
The Time Machine floated.
21 grinned and waved happily. "So long come back soon!"
It vanished leaving the android alone to continue programming the others.
Towa appeared in a different place in a different time. She stood up and held out a container with the press of a button it unleashed what looked like a small swarm of insects that spread and seemed invisible.
She smirked as she pressed a button.
The Time Machine became invisible hiding her from view.
The miniature spy boys flew unable to be seen by anyone.
It found their targets.
In view there was Goku with long golden hair.
Fighting against a fat blob that hadn't appeared in the original timeline.
The small bots took samples of Buu and Goku without either knowing while fighting Goku.
Some were destroyed enough survived.
They went back to Towa while the fight still happened, it didn't cause enough of a change to affect this timeline.
Towa held out the container and watched as the dna collectors grouped back in the container.
She smiled as she pressed a button.
Throughout various eras in the timelines she found she successfully gathered the DNA of many fighters in the past.
All without alerting anyone as far as she knew.
Towa appeared back in the current timeline.
21 smiled with her arms crossed.
"So how did my babies do?" She asked referring to her bots.
Towa handed her a container. "They were as adequate as you had said."
21 looked at the container and smiled.
"So, you got everything I asked?"
"Yes" She replied. "I've gathered the DNA of the Cold family, Buu, Cell, and the others you asked for."
21 smiled and looked at the container her eyes glowered red.
It had everything she wanted to feel whole.
"Great!" She giggled and placed the container on her table. She looked at the container with a hunger in her eyes, soon she will fill whole. "Such a delicious petri dish."
Once Towa had handed her container of samples she walked over to Mira's chamber and inserted the cannister at the bottom of the chamber.
She watched as it started to infuse him with the DNA she collected through time.
"Now this idea you have, you mind sharing with me?"
Towa was disturbed by the hungry look she was giving looking at her container, but she went along with her request.
She pointed at the large computer behind them.
"With your corrections I was able to create something safer for us to use."
21 looked up at the computer and watched it fizzle out and show something.
It showed a video of Super Saiyan 2 teen Gohan having a beam clash with the Android Cell.
"A time window?" 21 asked looking at the computer and giggled. "Interesting, that's how you knew which timelines to go to for harvesting."
Towa took pride in her creation and turned to the Android.
"Now show me these other timelines you've discovered."
Towa would go on to press on a keyboard showing more timelines.
The view changed and showed another timeline.
One where Goku and the Z-fighters never encountered Cell and had fought Broly instead and Gohan had defeated at Super Saiyan 2.
And the one that Towa had changed where 17 and 18 had been taking, where Trunks would meet a very different fate.
"I can also view further into these timelines, as long as they are caught up our current era."
21 glanced behind her and looked at the sleeping Androids 17 and 18. "Why don't we continue the timeline you created, let's see what happened to that version of Earth."
With a push of a button the screen faded and showed an images of ruined cities and planets multiple battles had happened throughout all time.
17 and 18's timeline
Trunks had been happy for the first time in a long time. He had destroyed 17 and 18.
But now he had to fight a new more powerful android.
He had spikey red hair and green armor, he was massive almost as big as Super Android 13.
In the original timeline 16 would stop and try to capture 17 and 18.
Here though 17 and 18 were never and destroyed and brought back.
16 grabbed Trunks by throat and smashed his fists into his stomach multiple times.
The Super Saiyan's hair turned to his normal lavender hair.
The android lifted Trunks up, he then let go and watched him fall to the ground.
Trunks grimaced while on the ground, he tried to lift himself up and stared up at the Android.
16 aimed his blasters down towards Trunks, unable to resist Gero's programming.
Trunks couldn't believe it, it was over.
If he hadn't used the remote switch and kept training like his father demanded maybe he could have found the power needed to put him down.
Maybe he could have been strong enough to stop 17 and 18 with his own power.
And maybe he could have been strong enough to stop this new Android.
16's blasters fired a Hell's Flash destroying the half Saiyan.
As 16 watched his opponent fade out of existence, he hears the computer speak as if it were Dr Gero.
"Well done 16!" The computer stated. "Now that filth has been wiped away, it is time to accomplish our vision! Androids 13-15 are almost finished, let us wipe the earth clean and replace all life with artificial beings! Hahahaha!"
It continued, Dr. Gero's androids 13-15 had been created and together had began attacking the populace.
The image showed all of them destroying the planet without anything to stop them.
Just then the screen goes black and shows a different part of the timeline, somewhere else.
The top of the lookout that had been restored, there were a set of devices along with an unfinished looking time machine.
Bulma was looking over the blueprints of the time machine.
She slammed a hand next to the computer.
Her son is dead not long after being revived.
Humanity is being destroyed and she still needs another year before she can complete the time machine, she was barely able to make one from the scraps she was able to collect.
Just then a carpet carrying two individuals came, Dende and Mr. Popo.
Both were holding the set of dragon balls.
"Bulma! We did it, we have all seven!"
Bulma smiled, finally some good news. Now they can revive Trunks and maybe have a chance to fight back somehow againts these new androids.
"Great work Dende let's-"
Just then an explosion appeared where the duo were standing.
Bulma was pushed back and looked at where Dende and Popo were standing.
The seven dragon balls fell to the ground and much to her horror had turned to stone.
"Hey there little lady."
She slowly turned to who had come to the lookout.
It was an android with a hat and suspenders.
"Nothing personal, I was under orders to ensure you join your son." He said as he fired a Ki beam from his finger.
Bulma shed tears as the beam struck her chest, destroying any knowledge to create the time machine and any hope for the Planet Earth.
"Good" Dr Gero stated. "Now continue the mission there's more humans to wipe out."
13 flown off leaving the lookout empty and continued Dr. Gero's cause.
And so Trunks without 17 and 18 had been killed and this timeline seems to have been conquered by Dr. Gero.
Once it ended 21 giggled. "Oh my, a world where Dr Gero wins even though he's dead, how beautiful."
Towa watched as it went on, Dr Gero clearly had won and all threats, Broly, Babidi and even Baby were left alone to their own devices.
21 turned to Towa.
"Ya know we could use another genius " She noted. "Why don't we extend an invitation to the doctor, he'd be a big help."
Towa kept silent taking the suggestion. She isn't wrong the man may have trouble controlling his creations, but he'd definitely be able to provide plenty of assistance.
He might even help make Mira's progression even faster.
Still, she barely trusted 21 even though she was forward about hiding the fact she undid her programming she couldn't let her guard down around her.
Good thing she had her own fail safes.
"Perhaps, let's not push it, I'm sure the gods haven't noticed yet and I rather not create too big of a change."
21 frowned clearly disappointed but she smirked. "Fiiiine" She would've argued but Towa knows more about the gods then she does so she'll go along with her logic.
For now, that is.
The Android turned to the captured 17 and 18 and continued her work on their programming.
"Say what about these other timelines you found? Anything interesting in them?"
Towa smiled as she pressed a button the screen showing a different timeline.
The screen faded and showed a different timeline.
One where there was another Trunks all grown up with his short
He was facing Androids 17 and 18 but without a remote and destroyed them.
"This version of Trunks visited a different timeline that was altered by the same Cell had invaded from our timeline." Towa explained. "Because of his interference the Goku resorted to the time chamber in his timeline leading to Trunks's increase in power."
The screen changed showing footage of Trunks destroying his timeline's version of Cell.
21 put a hand to her chin.
"So, he was the one who killed our Trunks, but he didn't kill this one?" She put a hand to her chin. "Fascinating, to think Cell going back in time made things better for this version of Trunks."
Indeed, he was far stronger than the Trunks of this timeline was after his trip to the past.
"How about the timeline our Trunks visited?"
She pressed a button and the screen changed showing a different timeline.
In this timeline there was never a version of Cell that came to this timeline.
In this world Androids 13-15 were a threat that had appeared after they had defeated the Androids.
Androids 17 and 18 were defeated with the shut off device much to Goku and Vegeta's protest.
Together they had managed to destroy Android 16 who had wanted to destroy Goku.
Trunks would leave this timeline and never return not wanting to impact anymore timelines.
Instead, Broly had come and had been defeated by Gohan with Super Saiyan 2.
And then Babidi would arrive.
Similar events to where the timeline Cell had gone to would take place with some differences.
Goku was alive and would continue his training in the living world.
Gohan would train as well with his father being around to an extent, he still had to study like he promised his mother to continue his studies.
This Gohan also looked different his hair was more similar to how he was when he fought Broly. and he wore a Gi that was similar to Goku's when he trained under Master Roshi but with the same colors as Piccolo's Gi.
The Supreme Kai would recruit the Z fighters to stop the revival of Majin Buu.
Piccolo and Krillin would turn to stone, and this is where the major differences would show.
Gohan in his Super Saiyan 2 form would face Dabura.
The demon king was on one knee glaring at his opponent.
"Damn you!" He shouted knowing he yelled before spitting at Gohan attempting to turn him to stone.
Only for the half Saiyan to avoid it and struck a kick into Dabura's midsection sending him flying.
The demon king hit against the wall and growled looking at the boy in front of him it was over he can't win like this.
He looked over at the others.
"Gohan sure has improved." Goku said with his arms crossed.
"He'd be stronger if he didn't waste his time studying and going out on dates." Vegeta criticized still he was impressed by his progress he might still be ahead of himself or Kakarot despite the distractions.
Dabura can see it the evil from him. He grinned and used telepathy.
'Master, that one! The prince he has evil in his heart! He's ripe for control!'
Babidi from his chambers smiled when he saw how badly this fight was going he was panicking but seeing Vegeta gave him hope.
"Good work Dabura with him we'll get plenty of energy!"
With that Babidi performed the spell to enslave Vegeta.
The Prince started to scream as the evil wizard tried to enter his mind.
"Vegeta?!" Goku yelled concerned.
"No! Babidi is trying to control him!"
Vegeta screamed getting Gohan and Dabura's attention.
The demon king laughed. "Fools I may not have the power to defeat but surely he does I can feel his power it rivals the both of you, with Master Babidi's influence will make him stronger just watch as the prince becomes our weapon!"
Vegeta screamed as he went Super Saiyan and red lightning came from his body.
His head was down and the screams finally stopped.
"Vegeta?" Goku asked. "Please tell me you're alright!"
The Supreme Kai looked shocked. "Impossible"
Dabura grinned as if knowing what would happen.
Vegeta lifted his head and he sighed relaxed.
And no 'M' was on his forehead.
"What?!" Both Dabura and Babidi shouted surprised.
"Tch" Vegeta gripped the side of his head. "Kai, when we get to Babidi I'll be the one to kill him, that miserable creature will die for trying to use me!"
This version of Vegeta was more fulfilled with Goku being alive he was able to challenge him regularly, this lead to him to not only increase his power level but be more accepting of the changes in his life quicker than his counterpart that willingly accepted Babidi's control.
"No!" Dabura yelled. "This is not possible!"
The Demon King stood and brought out his hands creating a sword and tried to slash Gohan.
Only for the half Saiyan to swipe an arm shattering the blade and for him to smash his fist through the demon's abdomen.
The demon king screamed as he was launched away.
Gohan then took his chance and placed his hands over his head.
"Masenko!" He yelled firing a yellow energy wave for him.
The demon screamed as he was evaporated by the blast.
Once that was done they would move on through the ship towards Babidi.
In panic Babidi tried to awaken Buu with over half the energy he had gathered.
But Vegeta stood in front of Babidi with a hand aimed down at the wizard.
"No, No!"
The prince fired an energy blast destroying the wizard before he could attempt to break Buu free early.
The Supreme Kai was flabbergasted by what had happened Babidi was no warrior but his spells were what made him dangerous.
Once that was done that, they went on to destroy the ball preventing Buu's release.
Goku with his arms behind his head would say. "Man I know Buu had to be destroyed but it's a shame that we didn't get to fight him, I wonder how strong he would have been?"
"Goku please" The supreme Kai lectured.
"Sorry but anyway seeing Vegeta not get brainwashed was awesome I'm not surprised he resisted control."
"Hmph, what a waste of time." Vegeta said and floated. "Hey clown let's go, I didn't get any good fighting out of this ordeal!"
"Sure thing Vegeta." He sais smiling.
Gohan just chucked as the two went off to have their fight while saying goodbyes to the supreme Kai.
This timeline would never face Majin Buu by would still have powerful warriors that protected earth.
21 watched as she ate some snacks.
"Oh, another world without Buu, poor guy he can't seem to catch a break in most timelines."
Towa agreed in this timeline he was destroyed during 17 and 18's rampage and in this one he suffers the same fate.
"At any rate we should keep an eye on some other timelines, surely we'll find something worth looking at."
She pressed a button showing multiple timelines until they found something interesting.
They looked at the screen and both smiled.
"This one's giving me some ideas." 21 said looking at the unconscious 17 and 18.
If they can replicate this, they would be match for them.
She turned to Towa and reached into her pocket before handing it to her. "I've been monitoring Bulma, she's very close now, here." What she had was a chip with the Red Ribbon insignia.
Towa looked at the chip. "Won't Bulma be able to find it?"
"Don't worry it's a very discreet code that even someone like her would have trouble finding, besides she's got no reason to find it."
The Demon sorceress nodded and took the chip.
"Alright, but remember, whatever you do leave Mira be." She said staring at her.
21 rose her hands up. "Wouldn't dream of it, besides I'm sure you have a couple fail safes around him right?"
She'd be stupid if she didn't.
"Your free to test that theory if you want."
21 giggled as she watched her leave, she had half a mind to take the time machine for a joyride but she knows Towa's intellect isn't to be underestimated, no doubt she has precautions for those to.
She shrugged and proceeded to type on a computer to strengthen 17 and 18's programming.
The Android wondered if there was any real need to stab Towa in the back.
So far she has been an asset and it's been fun to set her off.
Not to mention with a time machine they'll be plenty of timelines to share.
One thing's for sure though.
This was going to be such a fun partnership.
Towa appeared within Bulma's laboratory, she used a spell to turn herself invisible to not be caught by any surveillance.
She looked around until finally she found what she was looking for.
A console with 16's chip's code for all to see.
She looked at the AI and to her understanding Bulma was now close to restoring the Android.
Towa smiled at that and put the chip inside a slot.
With a few buttons she was able to upload 21's addition without anyone knowing.
Once it was completed, she followed 21's instructions and retrieved the chip and disposed of it.
She was right 21's code showed no difference, perfect for sabotage.
Perhaps 21 will be worth keeping around.
For now at least.
She should be happy to reunite with her 'son' as she put it.
Towa vanished leaving their foes to create one of their greatest assets.
Alright guys Android 16 is on his way back but it might not be what Bulma is hoping for.
Towa's not going crazy with the time machine just in case she alerts any of the gods.
She pulled 13 away from his timeline because he doesn't have a soul so nobody would notice if he went missing since he can't go to the afterlife and his death changes nothing in the timeline he's from.
Although sooner or later she might start pulling people from the past to help with her cause, at the very least 21 wants to do it.
Not sure how long this arc will be just know there's gonna be a lot of time travel and we'll get to see plenty of timelines and of course a lot of fighting.

SuperSaiyajin4Vegeta: I'm glad you approve of my decision, and ya, if I did give him the same potential he has in Super I don't think the Baby Saga would have been a problem. And besides most of the characters in my story can now take on anything in Z so they still progressed a pretty big deal.

She could have but she thought it wasn't worth it since she will want to upgrade herself and Towa would focus on upgrading Mira then her so it wasn't worth the hassle, though who knows if either will end up betraying the other.
I actually agree, I did it cause it felt like what they would do in the anime but I thought maybe it'd be better to change it so thx for the honesty.
