Scarlett hadn't been afraid when she was facing Esai. In that moment, it was about following her training. Point her gun at him before he pointed his gun at her, line his chest up with the gun's sights and squeeze the trigger if his hand moved near his pocket.

It was scary to take a human being's life, but Scarlett was mostly concerned about the law enforcement aspects of it. There was no doubt in her mind that Esai was at her store to kidnap her and after that who knew what he was going to her while he waited for SAMCRO to pay a ransom. He had also tried to kill Jax. She wouldn't lose sleep over Esai's death. She just didn't want anyone to end up in jail over it.

For a moment, she thought about dying and what she would regret most. It turned out it wasn't a lofty goal like avenging her mother's murder or finding Violet's killer. It was more personal, selfish and something she could do soon. She regretted not having sex with Jax. She didn't know what it was like having sex with a man she was in love with who would treat her with the respect and care every woman deserved.

His reputation had scared her. She didn't want to be just another girl who had sex with Jax Teller only to be tossed aside. Violet didn't mind if a guy used her for sex because she figured she used him for sex too. Scarlett had always been shyer and more concerned about the emotional side of sex than the more adventurous Violet.

She wasn't worried anymore that Jax would use her for sex and then leave her. He loved her. She loved him. There wasn't any need to wait a few more days. All she needed was for him to not get arrested today.

SAMCRO was on the street. She recognized Opie's truck and watched as Clay and Tig got out of the pick up. They hadn't turned up on their bikes. That was good. They weren't wearing their cuts. That was good too. She guessed they wanted to grab Esai and not wearing cuts and riding their bikes was to take him by surprise.

Scarlett wasn't sure if she could watch what was beginning to happen on Charming Main or if she should just shut her eyes until it was over
