Two followed MePhone, giving him a little time for himself. "MePhone?" he asked. "Are you okay?"
"What happened, Two?" MePhone asked.
"What do you mean?" Two asked.
"Why did it all come back at the same time?" MePhone asked.
"Well, um, you kinda..." Two started. "You kinda had an episode earlier, and then you...kinda blew your processor. Golf Ball and Tennis Ball fixed you back up, but you had a reset, updated your software, tried to update the system, and failed, which I hope isn't going to be a problem, by the way, and then you turned on and...kinda forgot everything."
"Forgot?" MePhone asked. "Forgot or locked away?"
"Both," Two said. "You didn't know who I was, or...I had contestants, and...your memories were locked away in red numbers."
"My processor was trying to help me," MePhone whispered. "It gave me a factory reset, so I could start over and try again. Everything...came back when..." he stopped. "It was you."
"What?" Two asked.
"It was you!" he stood, anger on his face. "It was you! That's why they all come flooding back! That's why...that's why I...I remember all of these things! I tried to lock them away...so I could forget. So I could...escape from all of it! But you brought them back!"
"MePhone," Two tried.
"No, I don't want to hear any of it!" MePhone cried. "I reset myself! I did it so I wouldn't have to think of any of it! So I could forget it all! But it's your fault I still remember it!"
"MePhone, calm down!" Two cried.
"Calm down?" MePhone cried. "I can't calm down! I'm in this because of you!"
"MePhone-"
"Don't 'MePhone' me!" MePhone cried. "Get away from me!" MePhone shoved Two aside as he stormed towards the hotel.
MePhone slammed his bedroom door shut. This is all his fault! If he didn't-
He looked at the selfie they took in Florida. It was the first time MePhone's had a selfie, so he wasn't entirely sure what to do. Two taught him how to.
"Okay, MePhone, I'm gonna point my camera this way," he explained, pointing towards himself, "and all you need to do is look at the camera and smile!"
"Okay," MePhone said.
Two turned his camera around and pointed it at himself. "MePhone! Come here!" He pulled MePhone in. MePhone was no prepared, so he wasn't smiling. "MePhone!" Two cried.
"Sorry, sorry! Let's do it again!" MePhone smiled. This time, MePhone was smiling, except Two moved the camera too much. "Oops! Sorry, my bad! Let's do that again!"
"Two!" MePhone teased. Two laughed. "Okay, okay, one more."
Two pointed his camera at them again. "Okay, three...two...one...!" Two pulled MePhone closer to the camera. "Smile!" Two cheered.
They both smiled as Two snapped the picture. They waited as Two's phone processed the picture. "It's perfect!" Two cheered. He sent MePhone the picture through his number. "Now we can remember this day we met!"
"And when I learned to relax some," MePhone admitted.
MePhone put his hand on the picture frame, then pushed it down, before stopping halfway. No, Two didn't mean anything by hurting him. Two wouldn't even hurt a fly. Literally. If he hurts someone, it's always by accident. Two always has the person's best intentions on his mind. Something had to have happened for him to do that. Two never meant to hurt him. So he had no right exploding on him like that. He should go and apologize to him. Two didn't mean to hurt him.
MePhone walked out of the bedroom, slowly opening his door. He needs to find Two. But first, he wants snacks. Thankfully, he remembered where the kitchen was at.
MePhone walked down the hallway and took the elevator to the floor below. Once the elevator opened, he came face to face with Marker. "Oh, uh, hi, sorry," MePhone said, turning sideways and sliding out of the elevator. Marker smiled at him, waved, then walked into the elevator. MePhone walked down the hallway and into the kitchen.
"Oh, it's you again," Four said. "What do you want?"
"Four!" a gate cried. "Be nice! He's a guest! Sorry," she said, turning towards MePhone. "Don't mind Four. He's kinda mean sometimes."
"No, it's fine," MePhone replied. "I probably deserve it."
"What?" she cried. "What do you mean? No one deserves that!"
"I do, believe me." MePhone sat down at the chair.
"What's your name?" she asked.
"MePhone, yours?"
"I'm Gaty!"
"Gaty?" MePhone asked. "Two told me all about you."
"He did?" Gaty asked. "What did he say?"
"He said you are his best friend and he feels terrible you got eliminated," MePhone said.
"Aw, he's so sweet!" Gaty cheered.
"So he stuck you in the kitchen because he didn't want you to leave," MePhone continued.
"Well, he didn't have to do that, but I've grown to like Four and X," Gaty said. "How are you doing?"
"Hm?" MePhone asked.
"Two's been super worried about you when you exploded," Gaty replied.
"Exploded?"
"Yeah, he said your back was really hot and you were smoking," Gaty said.
"Oh, that..." MePhone said. "Well, I was feeling much better, but then..."
"Did something happen?" Gaty asked.
"Yeah, I, uh...I exploded at Two," MePhone admitted, reluctantly. "He...he didn't deserve it, but I...I did anyway. He was just helping me and I blew up at him and...blamed him for...everything. And I feel really bad."
"I'm sure he knows you didn't mean it," Gaty replied.
"Yeah, but I still feel terrible," MePhone replied.
"Why don't you apologize to him?" Gaty asked.
"I was going to...but I got hungry," MePhone admitted. "Two said I was out for a couple of days. I mean, I don't need to eat, but...I like it. I like the different flavors."
"Here, how about you have some cookies?" Gaty asked, handing him a plate of cookies.
"Thanks," MePhone said. He grabbed a cookie from the plate and shoved it in his mouth. Gaty did as well. "You know, X is a great baker!"
"X made these?" MePhone asked. "The small yellow one?"
"Yep!"
"But he can barely see over the counter!"
"Isn't he great?" Gaty asked, smiling. "Four usually makes dinner. Breakfast and lunch is a team effort. I just do any random job they give me in here. Sometimes Two comes in here to talk to me and Four isn't a big fan of that."
"I bet not."
"So, Two's been helping in the kitchen a lot more instead."
"Well, I guess that's good," MePhone said, looking at the ground.
"Oh, but I actually have to start helping Four with dinner," Gaty said, jumping off her chair. "Talk to you later, MePhone!"
"You too," MePhone said, waving. "Oh, and Gaty?"
"Yes?"
"Thank you."
"No problem!" Gaty replied, smiling. He watched her walk through the door on the backwall and disappear behind it. MePhone sighed. Gaty's right. Two really didn't mean to hurt him. He really should apologize.
MePhone grabbed the entire stack of cookies, pushed the plate aside a little, and walked out of the kitchen with them, eating one. "MePhone!" Two cried in the hallway. "I'm sorry! I-" he stopped, and stared at MePhone's arms.
"What are you doing?" he asked.
MePhone glanced down at his armful of cookies, then back at Two. "I was gonna come and apologize to you, but I got hungry. And since I'm a fat slob-"
"A...a-NO!" Two cried. "You are not!"
Author's Note
I really hate it when MePhone calls himself a 'fat slob.'
