Zodia's POV
"Leo, please don't do this..." Zodia's voice came out a choked whisper, her mind running through possibilities as Leo got to his feet with his katanas at the ready.
The Kraang leader chuckled darkly, standing several feet from Leo, "Outmatched and alone, yet you persist. For what- honor, redemption, sacrifice? All meaningless."
As Leo readied himself for the battle ahead, a plan began to formulate in Zodia's mind and she struggled to her feet, gripping the tech-scythe that Donnie had entrusted to her. She examined the panel of buttons on its staff, noticing one that was marked with a grappling hook. As she examined the head of the blade, she realized what this button did and snapped into focus as Leo began to speak, "We'll see about that."
Zodia swiftly moved into action, racing toward the alien.
"Zodia, no! What are you doing?" Leo shouted as she spun, pressing the grappling hook button to ensnare the alien in the chains before twisting to fling him into the prison dimension.
"Yes!" Leo celebrated before quickly speaking into the communicator, "Now, Casey! Grab the key, close the portal!"
But as Casey grabbed the key, the Kraang leader grabbed onto the scythe's chain and jerked Zodia into the portal with him causing Leo to shout in horror, but Zodia wasn't afraid as she pressed the communicator button on the scythe, "Close the portal, Casey! It's gonna be okay!"
As the portal closed, Zodia turned to the Kraang leader with a determined grin as she quoted Leo's line from the movie, "You've been portal chopped!" The Kraang let out an angry roar before aiming a punch at Zodia. She quickly blocked it with the tech-scythe as the chain retracted, bringing the blade back into place at the top of the staff and she began defending herself as best she could against the alien's attacks.
Leo's POV
As the portal closed, the Kraang ship was cut in two. Leo knew it was only a matter of time, so thinking quickly, he used his teleportation powers to meet up with his brothers, who were all standing devastated with tears in their eyes, thinking Leo had been the one to go through the portal with the Kraang. As he landed on Staten Island, his brothers embraced him tightly, shouting his name in relief before he pushed away with an angry growl, tears in his eyes, "Guys, Zodia- she- she did it again, she sacrificed herself to save our world..."
Mikey clenched his fists with pained determination, "No- it's not fair! She gave herself to save us!" He raised his hands before him, straining to activate his mystic power.
"Mikey," Raph spoke up softly, "It's over."
"Zodia knew what would happen!" Mikey responded firmly, tears flowing down his cheeks, "She knew what she was risking! And she did it anyway! I'm not giving up on her!" His energy began to crackle through his arms like orange electricity and as he grunted in determination, a portal began to form.
"Mikey," the spiked turtle in red spoke up in surprise as he, Leo, and Donnie run over to join him, "Whatever you're doing, don't stop!"
The small snapper's arms began cracking with a golden light and his brothers each place a hand on his shoulders. Raph spoke again with determination, "We're here, Mikey, together."
The cracks on Mikey's arms spread up his brothers' arms as well and they combined their energies, the portal widening. As they see Zodia floating through the prison dimension clutching her scythe, Raph activated his ability to reach in and grab her, pulling her toward them. Donnie quickly fired an energetic missile as he noticed the Kraang attempting to follow. Zodia was pulled from the portal into their arms and Mikey gave a wink to the alien before closing the portal.
"Took you guys long enough," Zodia chuckles weakly as she gets to her feet. She was quickly pulled into a hug by the brothers and she could hear Leo scolding her for sacrificing herself again.
"Are you crazy, Zo?!" Leo scolded in disbelief, "That's the second time you risked your life for us!"
Zodia laughed, playfully shoving his shoulder, "You forget: I knew what would happen- I knew I wouldn't be stuck there in the prison dimension."
"You're reckless is what you are," Raph tells her firmly before his expression softened, "We were wrong about you, Zo- you really proved us wrong."
"Uh correction," Mikey spoke up in a smug tone, folding his arms with a grin, "I knew we could trust her, you and Leo were suspicious of her."
Donnie cleared his throat indignantly at having been left out and Leo gave him a look, "You wanted to study her, Don- I wouldn't exactly call that trust."
Zodia laughed warmly at their banter, releasing her energy from the tech-scythe to make it fold up so she could tuck it into a hidden pocket on her skirt, "You guys are such goofs!" She flashed a grin, "Would it be crazy to say this has been the best day ever?"
There was a collective, "What?!" from the group and she couldn't help dissolving into a fit of giggles before explaining, "I guess I forgot to mention: You guys are my childhood heroes."
Raph had a proud and flustered look at her words, Donnie was taken aback by it, Mikey couldn't help grinning. Leo placed an arm over her shoulders as he joked, "Looks like we've got a superfan on our hands, boys!"
"I don't think superfan really covers everything that just occurred..." Donnie replies blankly.
Zodia's POV
Zodia couldn't help laughing before a realization came over her, eliciting a gasp from her. She grabbed Mikey's shoulders with a look of excitement and realization, "Mikey! That was a portal! You made a dimensional portal!"
Mikey was taken aback for a moment before he realized Zodia was right and he became excited too, "Ohmigosh- you're right!"
"Do you know what this means?!" she shook him a bit in excitement.
"Uhh I can visit other worlds?" the orange turtle tilted his head in confusioon.
"You could send me home!" Zodia cried as she stepped back with an excited spin.
"Let's wait until you've healed first, Zo," the spiked turtle in red folded his muscular arms with an amused smile.
There was a chorus of "yeah"s from the other three as they all nodded in agreement.
