Adrien was used to Marinette being in a mood, even if she didn't get riled up often. The best thing to do was listen quietly to let her get out of her system.

"I'm serious, Adrien!" she fumed. "I'm serious considering celebrating Festivus on the 23rd, just to get some rest for Christmas." Adrien knew the "holiday" was for people who thought Christmas was to commercialized, and he couldn't blame Marinette for being tired for sewing Christmas clothes by now.

"So, does this mean we're hitting the Chinese buffet on Christmas? I don't want you to get burned out, love." Adrien loved the buffet, and Marinette liked going for "date nights" there, even if they were married.

"We'll see," she turned, smiling at him from the sizzling pan of tofu and rice. "Thanks for listening, Kitty." Adrien smiled. "Hey, communication is key to a great partnership, and I like my Bugaboo happy."

It was nice to cuddle up on the couch after dinner, with warm full bellies, watching Netflix while chilling. Marinette did love her job at the small boutique she ran, and she loved coming home to Adrien.

Okay, maybe she wouldn't go on strike, but his offer of the buffet was tempting. "Babe?" she turned over, sprawled across his lap. "Hm?" "If we go to the buffet, will you help me with Christmas dinner?"

Adrien stroked her hair. "My Lady, I will do anything expect be your sous chef." "Boo." "Safety first, love." Marinette laughed, as usually it was Adrien setting off the fire alarm. She sat up, peeling herself away from him.

"I'm going to bed. Come with?" Holding hands, they turned in for the night. As Adrien held her close, Marinette knew whatever happened this Christmas, new and happy were to be made, even if she did go on strike on Festivus.
