Today was a relaxing Sunday for Deku and Todoroki, who were going out to a new maid café they'd heard about called Musutafu Dragon Maid Café. This was mainly Todoroki's initiative, for she was going through a phase where she was interested in dragons. It was a rather elegantly-decorated café, with vintage artwork depicting dragons and lanterns hanging above each table. Shortly after they took their seat, a waitress came to attend to them. She wore an aqua green French maid-style outfit with dragon wings on her back and a fake dragon tail.

"Welcome home, Master and Mistress!" The waitress gave them wipe towels and menus. "May I offer you two some drinks?"

"I'll have a Sencha green tea, please," said Deku.

"I'll have a coffee, black, please," said Todoroki.

The waitress took their orders. "Would you like any food?"

"Nothing for me, thanks," said Deku.

"I'll have a slice of cherry cheesecake, please," said Todoroki.

The waitress left to get their orders.

"Shoko, I love you, but you find out about the weirdest things sometimes."

Todoroki smiled. "But why bother being normal? That's so boring. Besides, you should know that a girl who spent years of her life masquerading as a boy is anything but normal."

Deku shrugged and smiled. "I suppose that's to be expected. So tell me, how did you find out about this place again?"

"I was randomly looking up information on a show called Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, and then this popped up in the list of results."

Deku stroked his chin. "That show sounds vaguely familiar, but I've never watched it."

"It's funny. It's about a woman who saves a dragon's life, and then the dragon changes into human form and becomes the woman's maid."

Deku giggled. "That sounds pretty funny."

Todoroki smiled. "It is hilarious! I watched the first episode, and I must've been laughing every five seconds!"

Deku nodded. "I'll have to check it out, then. Maybe we can get together sometime and watch it."

Todoroki clasped her hands together and held them to the side of her head. "Oh Deku, you're so romantic!"

"I never thought of myself as much of a ladies' man, but ever since I started being in a relationship with you, I feel much more confident around women and with flirting."

Todoroki nodded. "I have noticed that. Has anyone ever told you that confidence is sexy?"

Deku smiled. "You have, my dear Shoko."

Todoroki giggled. "Well, then I'll tell you again!"

Eventually, their waitress returned with their food and drink.

"Thank you!" said Deku and Todoroki.

"You're welcome!"

The waitress bowed before them before returning to her duties. Todoroki was about to take a bite from her cheesecake when she noticed that a staff member had drawn a picture of Tohru – one of the main characters from Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid – on her plate with chocolate sauce. She smiled.

"Well, I'm already happy to have found this place." Todoroki took a bite of her cheesecake.

Deku took a sip of his tea. "Me too. This could quite possibly become one of my favorite cafés."

"Me too."

"Greetings, esteemed customers," said a mysterious male voice. "Are you enjoying your experience thus far?"

Deku and Todoroki turned to see who'd addressed them: none other than Gentle Criminal.

"YOU!" Deku gently slammed his teacup on the table and bolted up from his chair. "You're supposed to be in prison! How did you get out?"

"Quite simply, Midoriya, I was paroled for good behavior."

Todoroki scratched her head. "I'm sorry, Deku, but should I know this guy?"

"You should. This is Gentle Criminal, one of the most nefarious thieves in Japan. He tried to disrupt the School Festival a few months ago."

"Indeed I had. However, I must insist on being referred to by my real name, Danjuro Tobita. I have renounced my criminal ways and vowed to set myself on a more honorable path."

Deku paused. On one hand, part of him was still angry at Tobita for attempting to disrupt the UA School Festival and ruin Eri's happiness, but on the other hand, his people-reading skills told him that this man had indeed given up his criminal past, so against what he'd known before, he came to his answer:

"All right, I forgive you. It's just…there was this little girl who had been looking forward to this event for a while, and I didn't want her to be sad because it was ruined for her."

"I understand, and I am truly sorry about that. I am also grateful for your forgiveness. I hope you and your companion are enjoying your stay at my café."

Deku smiled and nodded. "Very much so. By the way, this is my girlfriend, Shoko Todoroki."

Todoroki smiled, got up from her chair and bowed before Tobita. "It's a pleasure to meet you."

"Todoroki, you say? Are you, by any chance, any relation to a Mr. Enji Todoroki?"

Todoroki nodded. "Yes, he's my father. We had a very rocky relationship in the past, but things have improved between us recently."

"I am truly sorry that you two had trouble getting along, but it makes me feel happy that you two are doing better. After all, a father should treat his daughter as if she were more valuable than all the treasures in the world."

Todoroki smiled. "That's a fascinating philosophy."

"Danjuro, I've finished balancing the books!"

Another familiar face had entered: none other than…

"La Brava!" said Deku.

"Yes, that was once my villain name, but my real name is Manami Aiba."

"My dear Manami acts as my business partner, taking care of many of the tasks involved in running this café," said Tobita.

Deku smiled. "Well, it's nice to know that you two are using your skills for good now instead of evil!"

Tobita nodded. "Indeed, I find that I have attained a greater sense of satisfaction from doing so. Now, if I may, I must excuse myself; I have business affairs to attend to."

"Hold on; I have a question…" said Todoroki.

"Yes?"

"Why a dragon maid café?"

"Quite simply, my dear Manami had become a devotee of the show Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, and I saw potential for a café themed after the show. Now then, many blessings to you, Izuku Midoriya and Shoko Todoroki."

"Bye!"

Deku and Todoroki waved to Tobita and Aiba before returning to their seats.

"He was such a nice guy," said Todoroki. "Hard to believe he was a villain at one time."

"I know. Kinda makes me feel stupid for judging him like that."

Todoroki smiled. "Don't feel stupid! Your past animosity with him is totally understandable. I'm just glad you were willing to give him a second chance."

"Well, after the initial shock, I could tell that he was being honest, so he deserved it."

Todoroki shrugged. "I'll never understand how you can read people like that, but that's one of the reasons I love you: you're always using your powers for good rather than evil."

"Awww, thank you! You wanna know another reason why I love you?"

Todoroki put one hand on top of the other and rested her head on them. "Do tell me."

"Because you're willing to share things with me!"

"Awww!"

Deku and Todoroki continued to eat, drink and share in another experience of love, not knowing what tomorrow would bring, but greatly looking forward to the better world that they were bringing about.
