A/N: Wow, 90 chapters!? I can't believe this fic is still going! I'm not tired, and in fact, I have enough ideas to last me until Chapter 119...provided I don't get any more requests between now and then. Still, I hope everybody had a TodoDeku Christmas, and here's to a TodoDeku New Year!


Another cold December day had gone and given way to a glittering disco night. However, this was no ordinary day; it was December 31, the absolute last day of the year, and Deku and Todoroki were spending it by getting down at Club 1186, which was decorated with balloons and sparkly garlands, among other such accoutrements. Currently, the DJ was spinning "Disco Queen" by Patrick Hernandez. Todoroki expressed her approval of the evening:

"Thanks for taking me here tonight! I didn't wanna spend New Year's in the usual way this time, and this definitely beats the usual!"

"You're welcome, Shoko! I was looking forward to this for a while!"

"Hey Midoriya, hey Todoroki!" said a familiar voice. "Glad to see you two here!"

Deku and Todoroki turned to see who'd addressed them: none other than Ashido, who was dancing with Kacchan.

"Oh, hey Ashido!" said Deku. "I'm surprised to see you here…and with Kacchan, too!"

"Well, I LOVE disco music, and I wanted to spend New Year's with somebody special while doing something special!"

"I still don't get why we have to be here," said Kacchan.

"Oh, come on, silly!" said Ashido. "Disco music's not that bad!"

"Don't kid yourself; I'd rather hack my own arm off. On the other hand, I enjoy bein' with you."

Ashido put her hand on Kacchan's shoulder. "See! Look at the positives! Now come on, let's keep dancing!"

Kacchan and Ashido continued to dance, as did Deku and Todoroki. Once again, Deku couldn't help but notice how Todoroki's heterochromic eyes sparkled under all the disco lights, and it was one of the most beautiful things he'd seen in his life. Soon enough, the DJ switched songs, this time to "The Break" by Kat Mandu. During this time, another couple had taken notice of them:

"Good evening, Midoriya and Todoroki!"

Todoroki waved at Iida. "Hello there, Iida! Never expected you to bring Tsu along!"

"Wow, you got better at calling me 'Tsu', ribbit. Actually, Iida and I have been seeing each other for a couple of months now, and we thought we'd try something different from the usual New Year's celebration."

"Wow, I didn't expect so many of you folks to come here for New Year's Eve!" said Deku. "Word about Shoko and I must've gotten around fast!"

"I actually did overhear you two talking about it, and I'd never been disco dancing before, so I figured I'd try it out. I mean, the music's not too far from the synthpop, house and techno I usually listen to, ribbit."

"Indeed, I was never the biggest fan of disco music either," said Iida. "On the other hand, I love classical music, and this genre bears quite a few similarities."

Deku smiled. "Well, I'm glad you two are having a fun time! It's nice that our friends are sharing in this moment!"

"Indeed."

"Ribbit."

And so, the UA friends kept dancing, the boogie power really flowing between them as the DJ put on songs such as "Night Dancer" by Jean Shy, "Beyond the Clouds" by Quartz and "Lift Off" by Blush. As the night went on and the beat kept thumping, everyone anticipated the stroke of midnight that much more. In particular, Deku had something special in mind for Todoroki. While she made his life feel special regardless, it was holidays like these that felt even more special to him. Finally, while the DJ was spinning "Ak-Shun" by Emily Woods, a large LED countdown timer activated, and the crowd joined in in a chant of "10…9…8…7…6…5…4…3…2…1…"

Deku leaned in to kiss Todoroki, who apparently had the same idea as her green-haired beau, and their lips met exactly at the stroke of midnight. They weren't the only ones, either, but they didn't care. They loved each other more than all the stars in the sky, and as the DJ was spinning the "New Year's Medley" by the Salsoul Orchestra, they vowed to continue this love into the new year.

"Happy New Year, Deku." Todoroki smiled.

"Happy New Year to you too, Shoko."

And with that, Deku and Todoroki continued to dance. It had been a hell of a year, especially considering that the Paranormal Liberation War had finished and the Final War was up around the bend like Creedence Clearwater Revival, but for now, everything was all right with the world, and they had each other, and that was all that mattered.
