Today was largely an ordinary day for Deku…or at least as ordinary as ordinary could get here at UA. Given all the villain attacks the students had been through, "ordinary" was in short supply. Nevertheless, Deku was determined to see this through to the end. Given how far he'd come with Todoroki, he couldn't throw it all away now. Speaking of her, he visited her dorm today.
"DEKU!"
Once again, Todoroki gave Deku a big hug and kiss, which – no matter how many times she did it to him – never got any less hot. As if that wasn't enough, David happily ran over to him yapping excitedly and rubbed up against his leg.
"Come in!"
Todoroki led Deku into her dorm, where they sat down on her bed.
"So, what brought you in here today, hot stuff?" asked Todoroki.
Deku shrugged. "No reason. I just wanted to see how you've been doing ever since that fateful day at the Sports Festival."
Todoroki wrapped an arm around Deku. "Are you kidding? I've been doing GREAT ever since then! I have an awesome, sexy boyfriend who treats me like an actual human being, everyone in class treats me well, and best of all, I patched relations with Daddy!" She frowned. "Having said that, there are a couple of things I need to get off my chest…"
Deku dropped his jaw slightly. "Oh? What's wrong?"
"First of all, I'm still having trouble getting used to the idea of knowing that Toya of all people is Dabi from the Paranormal Liberation Front. Second, I…I…" Todoroki trembled a little.
"Yes?"
"I'm still feeling traumatized from that time I accidentally hit and killed that dog with my car. God, I…I can still hear the owners screaming in pain knowing that their poor pet was taken away from them! I don't even know how I manage to live with myself, and believe me, I would NEVER, EVER hurt a poor, innocent animal like that!"
Deku could see tears forming in Todoroki's eyes. Even David sat down and whimpered softly, knowing his owner was in such pain. Nevertheless, Deku knew what to do as he put his hand on her shoulder.
"Shoko, I can't say I know how you feel, but I understand if you still haven't gotten over that completely. If there's anything you need from me, I'm here for you. I love you."
Todoroki smiled. "Thanks, Deku."
Still crying, Todoroki gave Deku a big hug, which he gladly returned. While it never got any less painful knowing how badly she hurt sometimes, he would gladly hug her any day of the week, not just because she was so soft and cuddly, but because making her feel better made him feel that much better about himself. Besides, he wasn't exactly the happiest person either, and there were times when he needed her to lean on, but he nevertheless felt lucky to have her for that. Similarly, Todoroki felt fortunate to have a guy like Deku by her side. Even if crying made her feel awful every time she did it, she loved the feeling of hugging him and letting the pain pour out of her, to let the elixir of happiness into her body, lightening her sorrows and causing her personality to glow. Having his strong, manly arms wrapped around her was a plus, too. Eventually, she stopped crying, but again, she continued to hold onto him until she felt better, after which she let go.
"You're always welcome, Shoko! Here…"
Todoroki wasted no time in blowing her nose and drying her eyes.
"Hey Shoko, if it'll make you feel any better, can I snuggle with you?"
Todoroki smiled. "Can you?"
Deku and Todoroki lied down and snuggled with each other, and David came over and snuggled up with Todoroki, which made her feel like she was in absolute heaven.
Criticism is gold. Negativity and nitpicking are pyrite.
