"Wot…" Samuel froze as he picked up his last slice of sushi. "She had a melt down at the ice rink and I wasn't there because I was with Angel and Dominic and Johnathan." She looked concerned but then laughed at the situation. "So, it's all fixed now, right? Or are they just letting it go?" He stirred his drink while chewing. "They're talking it out… Hopefully, it'll work out cause if not, she'll go mad." She carefully pulled apart the crab rangoon and nibbled at the cream trying not to make a mess. "Why are you being so posh? Don't be anal with me," he smirked at her knowing he was going to have to nudge her to get her out of this attitude. Their date was going mostly well with occasional awkward moments. They had decided to meet up at a sushi restaurant that was known to have really great food. There were a couple of times where he made her laugh really loud, but she was trying hard to suppress too much emotion. Antonia was at first very nervous about moving forward with this occasion, but it needed to happen sooner or later. They had been talking every day on the phone now and she really wanted to get to know him more. Yet, the girl was in her head thinking of many possibilities of a relationship. "Toni?" "Hmm," she looked up at the boy who was staring at her. "Did you hear what I said?" She began to smile and giggled covering her mouth, she indeed was on another planet. He sighed and let out a low chuckle, "Why are you acting weird?" She made a face at him and tried to play it off," What are you talking about? I'm not acting weird?" She tried to hide her smile and hesitated to say anything else. "Yes, you are" "No I'm not…" As they were close to finishing their food, Antonia realized that their conversations were more about their friends' personal lives rather than asking about each other. They talked about their Christmas celebrations and other family traditions, but Antonia specifically danced around questions that were too personal."Whatever. You don't act like this at school. Just because we're on a date doesn't mean that you have to impress me with anything crazy." The girl scoffed, "Okay, I'll admit. I am a little nervous but isn't that what people are supposed to feel on first dates? …And what do you even mean by me having to impress you?" His lips curved up at one side and he leaned closer over the table looking at her, she played with her chopsticks afraid to look at the boy. He grabbed her right hand and gently kissed it. She blushed hard and he gave her a sincere expression. "You're really pretty, you know that?" Antonia definitely tried playing it cool by simply nodding her head. "What do I bloody say to the mate?" His eyebrows got close as he waited for her to respond, "Thanks." He groaned as he rolled his eyes at her dry reply but still not letting go of her. She focused on him as she remained confused about what his frustration was about. With his attempt of sweet-talking the girl, he figured he would need to get straight to the point instead of dancing around the fact that they liked each other. "You didn't act like this when we did the project. You were all open and talked about anything that crossed your mind. Ya know? We even ate together with my friends, and you hugged me when we dropped you off. You're acting like a different person every time I say or ask anything personal about you. I got to learn so much about you but you're not letting me do that now. Why is that?" She looked at him as she got more anxious. Her face went pale, feeling overwhelmed by what he had said."I guess that I like you too much that if I say something wrong you'll ditch me?" He was silent for a moment, in shock of course as girls have the tendency to doubt themselves in any situation. Her eyes glistened, initially he was ready to freak out if she started crying but he sat there trying to think of how to take the attention away from a problem that didn't even exist.

She began to play with his hand as a way to keep herself grounded. He whispered to her, "Toni. I don't want you to think you did something wrong. And I don't want you to think that I'm being harsh. You're so sweet but you need to relax a little, okay? There's no reason for you to be scared darling." Darling. What a word. Despite his rough accent, it rolled out smoothly and the girl melted feeling a weight lift off her back. She grinned at the word, and he was relieved to see her smile. Antonia took a deep breath before probing him, "What questions do you want to ask me?" "Why do you like me?" She traced the knuckles on the back of his hand and gazed at him before answering. He was fixated on how a cute girl like her could have such large eyes that were so brown. "Well… I like you cause you're different. Not in the 'you're weird' type of way but I feel like there's a lot to you… umm… that I don't know about so I'm trying to figure that out." He carefully listened to the girl to make sure not to interrupt. "I find you to be an interesting person especially hearing the stories you've told to your friends in class and the arguments you've had with people hehe… But I've noticed you actually really kind. And that you're not as tough as people say you are. I personally feel like you're actually really delicate, Samuel." As she explained to him her thoughts, she fiddled with a ring that was on his index finger. He slightly opened his palm just for her to softly trail her fingers up to his forearm. He did that intending to let her go but the goth clung to him making him blush. Antonia went on talking about how she liked that he expressed himself, how she appreciated that he looked for his friends, and even talked about things that Angelita told her when they hung out at the mall. He paid attention to her body language, she spoke about him, captivated by the slight changes in her facial expressions. That pesky blush made its way to her ears and every now and then she would glance back down at the ring. She found herself leaning towards him as well, oblivious to the fact that their faces were slowly inching closer. He found himself mesmerized by the girl's beauty as she spoke softly. The waiter came by dropping the booklet off, "Here's the check when you guys are ready." Antonia slowly sat back against the booth while Samuel stayed in the same position. He looked at her for a brief moment before taking out his wallet. They watched the waiter leave with his card and he focused on her once again. Her arms were crossed on the table as she tilted her head laying on her shoulder. Her black hair now made it past her shoulders and was straightened. A maroon grunge smokey eye look was the decision of that day's makeup. She had on a white long-sleeve blouse with a sweetheart neckline, a black mini skirt, maroon sheer tights to add more color to her outfit, and mary jane shoes. She adorned herself with cross earrings, a black velvet choker, and other little necklaces that she wanted to wear. Samuel had his hair put in his usual liberty spikes hairstyle. He had on a brown turtleneck that hugged his slim body, a nicer pair of blue jeans, and Doc Martens loafers. He also wore a black leather jacket, but it was currently next to him in the booth they were sitting at.

"So... What about me?" Antonia looked at him leaning against the table, displaying a playful smile as she wanted him to ask her the same question. "What about you? I don't have any more questions for you, love." He kept a straight face as she dropped her jaw open. He shrugged and leaned back doing his best not to laugh. "That's not funny… You oughta know I just exposed myself and you're just lollygagging here in your seat." He spat out a bit of his drink as she uttered her statement. The waiter came back with his card and left the two as they ad their stare down. "It can wait for next time," he took the pen from thebookletas he signed the receipt. "What do you mean nex-" she stopped herself, understanding what he meant. "Another date then? Will he tell me how he feels about me? Or will it be a phone call?" They were left alone once again and their eyes locked. Once again there was silence, she then gave in, "We can go on another date if you tell me how you feel." He got out of the booth putting on his leather jacket, he faced the restaurant then turned to the goth, "I think you're spoiled rotten." He giggled at her reaction of shooting him a nasty look before holding his hand out to her. She hesitated then gave in stepping out of the booth, Samuel gently placed his hand on her lower back as they walked out the restaurant. "The walk here isn't that far." "Excuse me?" He stood next to her under the sunroof, "Erm… You got dropped off here so that means you can walk home." She had trouble zipping up her jacket, which Samuel saw amusing. The fabric kept getting snatched, seeing her frustration,he grabbed the two sides. "Let me get that," he tried to hook the handle to the other side, and she gently tapped his hand to let go. "No, I can do it myself," pulling on the jacket, he smiled at her knowing she didn't want to let him zip her up. "Toni, you're acting like a child," she giggled at his remark responding, "Stop... Oi...I'm being serious." With a not-so-serious expression, she quieted down as it hooked onto the ridges. Finally, the jacket zipped up to her neck, they stood there making eye contact. "There she goes with those eye…" She frowned at him then suddenly he mocked her face. They both laughed but Antonia was caught off guard when he touched her face, he gently pulled the hair out of her mouth. They smiled at each other, tilting their heads in the opposite direction. "Thanks love," she found herself once again paying attention to little details that kept popping up about his appearance. She found it amusing that his face would turn red in an instant. "Do you need a ride home? I know you mentioned you got dropped off here and it would be better if I did it instead of you waiting here for a while." "Yeah. That would be nice." She looked down for a moment then proceeded to follow him to the car.
