Chapter 5- Perfect pairings
Word had gotten out now about Pansy and Theo, and this was straight from my brothers mouth that one charms class, Theo slipped Pansy a Fly note asking her to go out with him and Pansy said yes and that was 2 weeks ago now so now that was 6 out of 10 people in our group that were dating. (Pansy and Theo, Blaise and Valerie, Draco and Astoria) Now it was just me, Mattheo, Cassie and Enzo left now.
But now it was the run up to the Yule Ball and I was named as the Hogwarts champion (Durmstrang champion was Viktor Krum, Beaux batons champion was Fleur Delacour and the 2 surprisingly champions were me and Harry Potter)
The thing was with the Yule Ball, boys had to ask the girls and everyone was too preoccupied with their dresses than their dates. Theo had asked out Pansy to the ball in break and Draco and Blaise asked out Astoria and Val in charms. "I want all of us to go together as a group so Mattheo or Enzo, pick either Cassie or Kayleigh." Val commented looking between us on the walk to dinner. Mattheo's hand grabbed my wrist and pulled me outside to the courtyard and guided me along the stone steps before we sat down on a bench. "So, I suppose you've heard about us all going to the ball together, Val's big idea." I chuckled and stared him straight in his deep eyes and his fluffy hair "So, I was wondering- if you." I knew what he was asking and answered the question for him "I would love to be your date for the ball." He smiled and took my hand "Come on then love, lets tell Enzo to choose Cass." We headed into the great hall where our friends smiled at the sight of us "No- Don't tell me that you two are." We nodded and sat down next to each other.

Then, the night of the Yule Ball came and my dress was exquisite, floor length, strapless and in the colour of rubies. I had curled my hair and my face was done up like a doll. I looked back at our list that me and my friends made weeks ago.
Yule Ball dresses
Kayleigh- strapless floor length dark red dress
Pansy- floor length purple ( Has to have a slit)
Astoria- short glittery LBD, long black gloves
Cassandra- short corseted baby blue dress
Valerie- floor length gold strapless.
I was met with adoring eyes and holding gazes but the only eyes I kept my gaze on were dark and fluffy hair. Mattheo. Dressed in a fully black suit and his famous silver cross hung over his shirt. He held out his hand waiting for me to take. I took it as he guided me down the stairs"Ah Miss Nott, Mr Riddle. Come and line up behind Mr Krum and Miss Granger."
Mattheo took my hand and we lined up before the fanfare came out. It was time.
