At night, there was a knock on the Haddock door.
Valka opened it to see Spitelout with Snotlout's arm in a sling and ask "can I help you, Spitelout?"
Spitelout answers "appearently there was a fight and your lost son broke my son's arm in two."
Valka scowls "if your son puts his hands on my daughter again, I'll break more than one arm! Have a nice night."
She slams the door on his face.
Spitelout turns to his son and scowls "you put your hands on Hicca?!"
He drags his son home and whips him with a belt.
In the morning, Hiccup woke up and in the arena and headed to the forge.
He pulled out a forging book and started reading through the pages.
An hour later, he was a quarter in the book when Gobber arrived at the forge with Hicca.
Gobber notice Hiccup sitting down reading a book and ask "what are you reading?"
Hiccup answers "your book on forging weapons."
Gobber and Hicca gape in shock.
Hicca ask "where are you at in the book?"
Hiccup answers "a quarter into the book."
Gobber ask "when did you start reading it?"
Hiccup answers "about an hour and a half ago."
Gobber gaped in shock.
Hiccup scans the pages while reading quietly.
After another half hour passed, he decides to start forging simple swords.
He makes molds for a dagger and handle for it.
An hour and half later, he had a dagger forge with Hofferson crest imprint on it.
Hicca ask "why does it have Hofferson family crest on it?"
Hiccup grins "you'll see in a little bit."
Astrid stop by the forge and ask "say Gobber? Could you make me a dagger to defend myself?"
Gobber answers "that would be twenty silver."
Astrid sighs "I don't know if my parents can afford that."
Hiccup walks upto the counter, lays a dagger on counter and ask "would this be consider a courting gift as best friends who like each other for now?"
Astrid gasped at the dagger and noticed the Hofferson crest on it and sights "I guess we could court as friends who like each other and it was hot that you left Snotlout on his butt in a daze after one punch."
Hiccup grins "you can do it too."
Astrid grins "thanks for the dagger" and leaves to go tell her mom.
Gobber sternly says "your going to pay hours for that dagger!"
Hiccup grins "just wait. I'm going to collect some rocks in the forest, I should be back in an hour."
He took a little cart and went to the forest.
Once in forest, he search for iron rocks.
After spending an hour of gathering iron rocks in cart, he pulls the load back to the village.
When he arrives by the forge, Gobber ask what do you plan on doing with these rocks?"
Hiccup answers "I need to get a Gronckle before I can make better weapons for the villagers."
Gobber sighs "okay if you say so."
He leaves to head to the arena to collect the Gronckle.
Walking to the arena, he bumps into Magnus Hofferson.
Magnus sternly says "my daughter is too young to have a boyfriend, but a friend to find comfort in is okay. I like the dagger you made my daughter."
Hiccup sighs "I guess boyfriend at five years old is too young."
Magnus smiles "but a caring friend with growing crushes is fine. I look forward to see what type of man you grow up to become."
Hiccup grins "thank you."
He continues to the arena.
Once he gets there, he looks at the type of cell locks, big logs, maybe for a Monstrous Nightmare.
Hiccup comments "Gobber said that they have four big dragons."
He unlocks the cell on the right.
The Gronckle charged out looking for threats.
She flew around the arena until she spotted the little boy.
Hiccup puts his hands up in defense "it's okay, I'm a friend. I lived with dragons for nearly four years. I mean no harm."
The Gronckle hiss at the boy in cautious.
Hiccup sticks one hand up with palm showing and turns his head to show trust to the Gronckle.
The Gronckle waits for a moment before touching her snout to Hiccup's palm and hum in acknowlege him.
Unknown that someone was spying on Hiccup.
Hiccup tells the Gronckle "if you listen to me, I'll feed you a bucket of fish to yourself. I need Gronckle iron and I have your favorite rocks."
The Gronckle coo in happiness.
Hiccup crawls under the gape in the gate and unlocks it fully.
He leads the Gronckle through the village to the forge.
Gobber sees Hiccup lead a Gronckle to the forge and gasped "are you out of your mind?!"
Hiccup smiles "trust me."
He feeds the Gronckle iron rock and tickles her tummy until she vomits molten iron pile.
Gobber comments "thats gross."
Hiccup grins "this what I call Gronckle Iron. I kind of took a small hammer and hit it and the hammer broke in two."
Gobber sighs "okay."
Hiccup tells him to pour water on it to cool it down some and leaves to return the Gronckle back to the arena.
A twenty mintues later, Hiccup returns to the forge to began working on forging weapons in extreme fire.
Gobber left from the heat along with Hicca.
After the rest of the day, Hiccup had five swords made after ten hours and shut the forge down to cool for the night.
He walked to the Meade Hall to eat dinner.
When he got there, he walked over to the Hoffersons family and says "good evening, Hofferson family."
Snotlout walked over and says "hi, babe."
Astrid scowls "I already have a boyfriend! Which means I'm off limits to every boy!"
Snotlout comments "I can always by you as a wife! So get used to it!"
Astrid scowls at his retreating foam.
Magnus comments "Hiccup will keep him in line."
