The rooftop of the Smithsonian Museum in Washington, D.C., bathed in the glow of the city's lights. A tense wind blows through the night as Cheetah stood near the edge, clutching a gleaming, ancient shield emblazoned with intricate designs. Wonder Girl landed on the rooftop with a thud, her golden lasso at the ready, her gaze fixed on the thief.

Wonder Girl scowled firmly at Cheetah who was glaring at her ready to attack "Hand over the shield, Minerva. That belongs in a museum, not your collection of stolen artifacts."

Cheetah snarls, her muscles tensing as her claws gleam in the moonlight. "Don't you DARE lecture me about what belongs where, little Amazon. This shield's worth more than your island ever will be!"

Wonder Girl grip hardened as she tightening her lasso "You're not leaving this roof with it."

Cheetah smirks, crouching low, her tail twitching like a predator ready to pounce. "Then come and take it."

Cheetah leaps at Wonder Girl with lightning speed, her claws slicing through the air. Wonder Girl blocks the strike with her silver bracelets, the clash ringing out across the rooftop. She counters with a powerful kick, sending Cheetah skidding back, but Minerva regains her balance effortlessly, her movements fluid and feline.

Wonder Girl gritted her teeth "You're fast, I'll give you that. But speed won't save you."

Cheetah growls and dashes forward again, this time swiping low. Wonder Girl jumps, narrowly avoiding the strike, and whips her lasso toward Cheetah. The golden rope loops around Cheetah's arm, but she yanks hard, pulling Wonder Girl toward her and landing a clawed punch across her armor.

Cheetah laughed mockingly "Not so tough now, are you, little Amazon?"

Wonder Girl staggers but recovers quickly, her eyes narrowing. "I'm not done yet" She growled as she threw a fist at Cheetah.

High above the museum, Beast Boy, in the form of a peregrine falcon, soars through the night. He spots the struggle below and circles, curious.

Beast Boy muttered to himself "Wonder Girl? Fighting Cheetah?" He sighed "Of all the villains I could have ran into, it had to be her." He circled around the rooftop mumbling to himself "Guess takeout can wait."

He dives toward the rooftop, transforming mid-air into a gorilla and landing with a ground-shaking thud just behind Cheetah.

Beast Boy made a face "Hey, kitty cat! You have 5 seconds to throw that thing you took back to Wonder Girl over there or else. You're outnumbered now."

Cheetah whirls around, startled, she made a face as she stares at Beast Boy, but the look on her face told him that she isn't going to do anything. She tries to swipe at him, but he shifts into a mongoose, darting under her claws and biting at her leg. Cheetah howls in pain and stumbles backward.

"So be it." Beast Boy said

Wonder Girl seizes the moment, flying forward with her lasso glowing brightly. She wraps it around Cheetah's torso, pinning her arms to her sides. Cheetah thrashes, but Beast Boy shifts into a rhino, blocking her escape path and forcing her toward the edge of the rooftop.

Wonder Girl pulling the lasso tighter her face grim "It's over, Minerva. Let go of the shield!"

Cheetah snarls, trying one last desperate leap, but Beast Boy shifts into a falcon again, swooping down to knock the shield from her grasp. It clatters to the ground, and Wonder Girl uses the moment to deliver a powerful uppercut, sending Cheetah sprawling and unconscious.

Wonder Girl sighs picks up the shield, inspecting it for damage, while Beast Boy morphs back into his human form, brushing imaginary dust off his shoulders.

Beast Boy grinned "And that's how you take down a cat burglar. Get it? Cat burglar?"

Wonder Girl laughed softly "Thanks for the assist, Garfield. I wasn't expecting company tonight, but it's always nice to have backup."

Beast Boy smirked "Hey, I was just out grabbing food for the team. Artemis insisted on having this meal from this restaurant, I saw an item that looked good as well and I lost rock paper scissors against Bart. Saw you were in trouble and figured I'd help out. No need to thank me too much... unless you're buying next time."

Wonder Girl shakes her head, smiling, as she secures the unconscious Cheetah with the lasso. "I'll take care of her and get this shield back where it belongs. You can go grab your food before it gets cold."

"Aw, no victory dinner? Harsh."

Wonder Girl smiled slightly "Next time. I'll be back at the base in a few days—just need to finish up some things in Themyscira first." She pauses for a moment as she glances at Cheetah "I know that the two of you had a…"

Beast Boy's smile vanished as he scowled "For the last time, no." He mumbled "She saved my life a few months ago and I saved her. And somehow Bart seems to think that means that…"

Wonder Girl raised a hand "I know that." She said "And you know that Bart did that to get under your skin right?"

"Yes." Beast Boy mumbled

"Good. And I hope that sooner or later." Wonder Girl said as she glances at the unconscious woman "She would change for the better."

She hoists the unconscious Cheetah over her shoulder and flies off into the night, the shield glowing faintly in her other hand. Beast Boy watches her go before shrugging and turning into a falcon again, soaring off to get the food delivery.

The common room of Mount Justice is dimly lit, the large screen glowing as the credits roll. Empty popcorn bowls and soda cans litter the coffee table, a testament to the team's relaxed evening. Nightwing, Superboy, Miss Martian, Bart, Aqualad, Beast Boy, Artemis, Cyborg, and Starfire are sprawled across couches and beanbags, enjoying a rare moment of downtime.

The movie they just watched Indiana Jones and the Sword of Kings was a thrilling adventure about the iconic archaeologist stopping German spies in the UK from finding and weaponizing Excalibur during World War II with his best friend Herman and his godson Arthur who was the one who lifted the legendary sword.

Bart excitedly leant forward "Did you see that part where Indy took out three spies with just a bullwhip and a teapot? And that fight scene where he fought that woman with Sir Lancelots sword? Epic!"

Beast Boy grinned goofily "Yeah, but nothing beats him outrunning that collapsing castle at the end. Classic Indy. And that scene where Arthur lifted the Excalibur? Iconic!"

"I was terrified of the ghost scene. The scene where all of the knights of the round table killed all of the bad guys in well…" Bart mumbled as he shuddered.

"Everyone was." Aqualad mumbled

Miss Martian smiled, "I thought the scene where he deciphered the map using the stained glass reflection was pretty clever."

As the team chats, Starfire looks visibly perplexed, her eyes darting between her friends. "I am... confused. Your Earth historians are most impressive. To chronicle such daring and heroic feats in so much detail—it is no wonder you hold this Indiana Jones in such high regard."

The room went silent for a moment as everyone turned to Starfire as they tried to process what she said. Bart stifles a laugh, while Nightwing rubs his temples, trying not to grin.

"Uh, Starfire?" Nightwing said with a small smile "You know that wasn't real, right? It's just a movie."

Starfire tilted her head "Just a movie? I do not understand. It was filmed, was it not? Those events... they occurred?"

Cyborg chucked "No, no. It's fiction. Like, completely made up. None of that happened."

Starfire frowned "But the people... the German spies? The sword Excalibur? They were very convincing."

Miss Martian gave a kind smile "That's because the actors were pretending. It's all a story, like a play or a holo-drama on Tamaran."

Starfire tilted her head even more, her face was still confused trying to understand what she is hearing "So, this Indiana Jones is not a historical figure?"

Beast Boy grinned goofily at this "Afraid not. He's just a character. A super cool one, though!"

Bart laughed "Man, could you imagine if he was real? The guy's like a walking bad luck magnet."

Starfire crossed her arms "Then why does your Earth create such stories if they are not true? Would it not be more productive to share real histories instead of confusing fabrications?"

Artemis shrugged "Sometimes it's fun to escape reality. And movies like this are meant to entertain, not educate."

Starfire smiled thoughtfully "I see... so it is similar to the 'comedy programs' Beast Boy told me. They are not based on truth either?"

Beast Boy grinned "Exactly! Except this was way cooler than my comedy shows."

Starfire leans back, her brows furrowed in thought. Then, her eyes light up with a realization. "Ah, I understand now. So, your Earth enjoys tales of make-believe to inspire and bring joy. It is... charming. Although, I must admit, I would have liked to meet this Indiana Jones in reality."

Superboy smirked slightly "Yeah, wouldn't we all?"

Nightwing gets up to start cleaning the table, shaking his head as he smiled at Starfire "Don't worry, Starfire. We'll find you a real Earth hero to look up to."

Starfire grinned "I look forward to it. Though I still think that Jones would have been an excellent ally."

The late evening sky stretches wide above Mount Justice, the stars faintly visible despite the faint glow of the facility's exterior lights. Superboy leans on the edge of the rooftop, his gaze fixed on the horizon. His posture is tense, his broad shoulders hunched slightly, hands gripping the ledge tightly. Miss Martian hovered nearby, her arms crossed as she observed him silently, sensing the turmoil in his thoughts.

A gentle breeze carries the scent of the nearby lake and forest, but it does little to soothe the tension in the air.

Superboy sighed "I keep thinking about what Starfire said about Blackfire... and those bounty hunters. They just stormed in here like they owned the place. What if more show up? What if next time we can't stop them?"

Miss Martian floats down, landing lightly beside him. She places a gentle hand on his arm, but he doesn't look at her, his jaw tight with frustration. "She has barely been under our protection for less than a day now, M'gann and already there are people out to get her. That means we're going to have a giant target on our backs. And I'm not just talking about us. Everyone connected to us, this place, the League…they could be in danger because of her." He pauses, exhaling sharply as he rubs his eyes. "We've dealt with threats before, sure. But an intergalactic princess with a vendetta from her sister and a bounty on her head? That's... different."

Miss Martian smiled calmly "You're right, it is different. But when has that ever stopped us before?"

Superboy finally turns to her, his expression almost conflicted. Miss Martian steps closer, her green eyes warm and steady as she speaks. "Think about everything we've faced, Conner. Cadmus, the Reach, Darkseid... we've always found a way to pull through. Not because it was easy, and not because we knew exactly what we were doing, but because we faced it together." She places both hands on his shoulders now, grounding him with her presence. "And we'll do the same with this. Starfire may be under our protection, but that doesn't mean we're alone in this. We've got the team, the League, and we have each other. Whatever threat comes our way, we'll face it head-on. Like we always have."

Superboy holds her gaze for a moment, his tense features softening slightly. He lets out a slow breath, the weight of his worries lifting just a little as a flicker of a smile appeared on his face has he patted his wife on the head. "I know you're right. I do. It's just... sometimes, it feels like the threats keep getting bigger and bigger to more dangerous and insane. And I can't help but wonder if one day, we'll run into something we can't handle."

Miss Martian smiled softly "That's what makes us who we are, Conner. We don't back down, no matter how impossible it seems. And if that day ever comes... we'll figure it out. Together."

Superboy nodded, his grip on the ledge relaxing. He glances back at the stars, the flicker of determination returning to his eyes. "Together, huh?"

Miss Martian smiled back with a small teasing grin in her eyes "Always."

They share a quiet moment, the night around them peaceful despite the storm of uncertainties ahead. Superboy reaches for her hand, giving it a small squeeze.

"Alright. Whatever comes our way... we'll face it. Together."

Miss Martian's smile widens, and she rests her head lightly on his shoulder as they both look out at the stars, the weight of the moment balanced by their shared resolve. They don't know what lies ahead, but for now, they find comfort in the fact that they'll face it together
