Gwin and Candaith (finally) get some real alone time, and finish up the wedding ceremony in a very pleasurable fashion ;-) This is smut, so if it makes you uncomfortable, you can scroll down to where I put a tiny * to get to the important plot part. However, there will continue to be intimate moments throughout the story, so I would encourage you to give reading it a try. I hope you like it!
Chapter 69
I felt some relief to note that the place we would spend the night was far away from the others, and out of earshot of even an Elf. This was something I knew we both wanted to keep very private.
On the ground there was a plethora of furs and blankets, and several pillows. I felt a wave of anticipation as I knew what would come next, and I wondered if Candaith knew the full significance. I decided it was important to tell him.
Part of me felt nervous, but I knew I was safe in his arms. Speaking of which, he pulled me into his embrace, kissing me fiercely. My fingers ran through his hair, and our tongues entwined slowly. Our bodies were flush against each other, and his hands were making quick work of the ties on my back. I pulled away briefly, and he looked at me with some confusion.
"Candaith," I began, feeling breathless. "I must explain something."
He looked at me curiously, and nodded.
"I have done this before, but only in a casual way." I studied his expression closely, and was grateful to see no judgement there. "It is very different between two people who love each other."
He was following, but I could tell there was still more I needed to say to clarify my meaning.
"For Elves, the act of…" I blushed. "…of making love is what makes a couple married, and bonded together forever. The earlier ceremony is only a formality." I gazed into his eyes, which were looking into mine with some intensity. "This is the most important part."
He slowly smiled at me, and it made my heart race. "Then I will have to make sure it is worthy of such an occasion." His voice sent shivers down my spine. Our lips came together once more, and I sensed him slow down his movements. Once the back of my dress was open, he lightly ran his fingertips down my spine, and each touch made my skin prickle pleasantly.
My hands moved to the ties of his tunic, and I undid them all the way down and pulled it off completely, our mouths never breaking contact. I placed my palms on his chest, feeling the muscles there. I scraped my nails across his skin, and he moaned softly. I smiled against his lips, and we parted just enough to lock eyes. His were darkened with lust, and I was sure mine looked the same.
Candaith moved his lips to the left side of my neck after gently moving my hair out of the way, as some of my braids had started to come undone from all of the dancing of the past few hours. I knew he would likely remove them completely, as he loved my hair flowing freely down my back. They ghosted across the sensitive skin, and my knees nearly buckled as he took the tip of my ear into his lips, swirling his tongue around it. Thankfully, his arms were securely around my waist, so I did not fall.
Distracted as I was, my hands had stilled their progress, but I was determined to make him feel as good as I did. His breath hitched as I began to move my hands a little lower, tracing his muscular stomach all the way down to the waistband of his trousers. I ran my fingers across it but did not yet make a move to pull them down.
He continued kissing his way down my neck, and shrugged the fabric of my dress off of my shoulder, his lips following as the skin revealed itself. There was nothing underneath, as Nona had insisted no shift was required, and I was glad of it now. The less layers between us, the better. He gently sucked the area over my collarbone, before raking his tongue across it and moving to the other side of my body. Sure enough, as he paid special attention to my neck, he loosened my hair quicker than I had assumed he would be able to do, and it settled unbound over the bare skin of my back. He ran his hands through it, his fingers massaging my scalp as he went. "Your hair is beautiful, meleth," he whispered in my ear, and his hot breath made me tremble with desire.
At this, I pulled him closer and rolled our hips together. The sensation made heat pool in the bottom of my stomach, and I could feel his heart racing. Was it going as fast as mine? It wasn't long before I noted my dress had fallen to the ground, having slid off my other shoulder, and I jumped up to wrap my legs around his hips. Standing still for a moment, he embraced me tightly, his breathing uneven as he tried to regain some control. I pulled my head away slightly to look at him, and he returned my smile with a hesitant one of his own. "I…I cannot believe this is really happening."
I laughed and kissed him lightly, "As you can see, it truly is." I winked, and startled a little as he began walking.
Candaith carried me over to the blankets and gently set me down before pulling away. His eyes roamed over my nakedness, and I tried not to blush at the fire in his gaze. I couldn't help but wonder what he thought; there were many scars marring my skin, and I felt a little insecure. He seemed to understand, for he leaned in and murmured, "You are perfect." A wave of relief flowed through me, and I smiled. He tenderly kissed each one as he made his way down my body, and I squirmed in anticipation.
I gasped as he took my breasts into his hands, massaging them as he ground his hips into mine. His mouth replaced one of his hands, and I arched my back in response to the electrifying sensation. Now that it was free, his fingertips went lower, before gently brushing against me. I whimpered at his ministrations. "Does this feel good, meleth?" he growled sensually.
"Y-yes," I managed to gasp. "Don't stop."
He chuckled sensually, "I do not intend to." His mouth switched to the other side of my chest, and his touch was achingly slow as he teased me. He would move his fingertips to the sensitive skin of my inner thighs, before gently brushing against where I wanted him most. I tried to control my breathing, but the sensations were so overwhelming that it was all I could do to even remember to draw air into my lungs.
Realizing he still was wearing his trousers, I hooked my toes inside the waistband before slowly pulling them down his hips. He kicked them away impatiently before settling himself back between my legs where he had been. I briefly flicked my gaze down and raised my brows at the hardness of him. I met his eyes again and he looked a little smug. "You like what you see?"
I rolled my eyes but couldn't help the blush that made its way across my face. "I suppose it will do," I replied with a wink. He took this as an invitation to kiss me hungrily, his fingers returning to their previous ministrations but using a little more pressure as he circled my opening. I couldn't help but push my hips against his hand, but he did not allow his fingers to slip inside, to my chagrin. I huffed in frustration, and he whispered heatedly, "Getting impatient?"
I narrowed my eyes playfully, and he smirked, going even slower. Luckily for me, he decided to put me out of my misery and kissed his way down, lower and lower, until his mouth replaced his touch. I gasped at the sensation and buried my fingers in his hair. He would move his mouth away and place feather-light kisses on my inner thighs, before returning to where I was throbbing for him. He then swirled his tongue around, moving it up and down my folds again and again. Something was coiling deep inside of me, but I pushed it aside for now, wanting to make it last. I realized very quickly this would not work as I felt him insert a finger, and then another. He moved them in and out as his mouth worked its magic, curling them to hit the sensitive area inside of me. He hummed against me, and the added vibration was all it took to make me come undone.
Candaith slowed down to let me ride it out, before stopping completely and crawling up to kiss me slowly. I felt warm all over, and knew it was time to bring him to the edge as well. He was surprised when I pushed him onto his back, and I climbed on top before ever so slowly lowering myself onto his length. We both groaned as he fully entered me; I was still sensitive from a moment ago.
We locked eyes, and he was looking at me heatedly in anticipation. I leaned down to kiss him, taking his lower lip into my mouth and sucking gently, and I slowly began to move my hips. I rocked them back and forth, and rolled them around in circles. He met me with each movement, and the now familiar heat was making its way into my stomach. His fingers came up to rub against my sensitive bud as we went, and we began to move a little faster.
Without breaking contact, we switched places. I was settled against the warm blankets, and he continued to move within me. I knew we were both close, but there was something we needed to do first.
*"Candaith," I whispered, trying with great effort to speak coherently. He seemed to sense I was about to say something very important, so he slowed down and looked deeply into my eyes. "I need you to say these words with me." He nodded, and I continued, deciding to use Westron until the last portion. "We bind ourselves together as one." Candaith repeated it, and I spoke the next part, "Our fëar will never be parted, even after the ending of the world." As he spoke, I closed my eyes, and felt something strong forming, like the strands of a web coming together. "Antan melmenya lenna." Once he finished speaking, we picked up the pace, and as I came, I felt something slide into place in my soul. He followed soon after, my name on his lips.
As we both caught our breaths, he kissed me tenderly, and pulled me close. We were still together, and his eyes were full of both love and wonder. "Meleth nin, what has happened? It was as if my heart was cloven and then put back together?" I realized what he was trying to describe, and was still somewhat in shock that it had even happened. I was unaware that a mortal's fëa could bind with an Elf's; it was something I had hoped for but dare not assume was possible. However, would the words hold true? Would our souls never be parted, even after death?
I set this thought aside for the moment, and explained, "As the words said, we have bound ourselves together and our souls will never part. Antan melmenya lenna means 'I give you my love' in Quenya." He looked confused, so I continued, "It is something which happens between Elves when they consummate the marriage; two souls bind as one. I did not know if it would happen between us, since I am an Elf and you are of the race of Men, and yet it has! It is said we will be able to sense each other's emotions and thoughts, and sometimes even communicate without words, although I am unsure how possible it will be for the two of us."
Candaith looked stunned, and was unable to speak for a moment. "So, you will be able to know what I am thinking at all times?" He looked a little uncomfortable, and it made me frown slightly.
"Is there something you would wish to hide from me?" I asked confusedly.
His expression melted into a genuine smile, "No meleth, but it is a little strange I must admit."
I rolled off of him and settled myself on his chest, and he pulled up the furs to cover me, as it was a little chilly inside the tent. This gave me some time to think of the words to say to try and explain. "There are ways to put up mental walls around your thoughts and feelings, which is not necessarily bad if there are things you wish to keep to yourself…but I would hope you know you can always be honest with me." I turned my head to look into his eyes, but he was staring pensively at the roof of the tent. "This is all very new to me as well."
"I trust you with all that I have, but it will take some getting used to," he replied, finally meeting my eyes, which must have looked concerned because he leaned down to kiss my forehead. "It is a bond I never thought I would have with someone. I always assumed my life as a lonely ranger would keep me from falling in love." He looked at me mischievously. "Imagine my surprise when I do so with an adventurer who fell off a cliff into my camp."
I laughed, "Our first meeting was not quite what I would call pleasant."
He tucked some hair behind my ear, "Yet here we are now." He pulled me tighter against him. "Le melin, Gwin. Always."
"Le melin," I replied, crawling up and kissing him firmly on the lips.
I yelped as he pulled me fully on top of him, and his eyes had darkened again with desire. "Shall I show you how much?" Candaith said, his voice low and sensuous.
No more words were spoken for a while.
And there you have it; they are officially married! Now, there is obviously little written about the binding of souls between a human and an Elf (if anything). I decided I wanted it to happen between them, and figure because Gwin is an Elf, that it would be possible.
I also believe that an Elf can decide what sex 'means' to them in any given encounter, and in this case, it was meant to be a joining of two people who wish to marry. So you can't accidentally bond with a handsome stranger you slept with while drunk on Dorwinion at a festival haha.
My husband was joking with me about this today, saying "Well, what if it is like a drunken Vegas wedding? You're still married…just on accident!" It made me laugh, as I could totally imagine one of the twins doing something foolish like that. I'd say if an 'accidental wedding' did happen, it would need to be between two people who already love each other in a romantic way, drunk or not!
