The TARDIS groaned as she began her slow materialisation.

The Doctor and Martha were on the other side of the console, Martha grinning brightly and The Doctor rambling at 100 miles an hour. Something about a city, wondrous, etc. Hally wasn't really listening.

This would be Martha's third trip with them. Which Hally doubted The Doctor could try and make up excuses for again.

His last explanation, when they'd ended up back on New Earth, was that he was giving her 'one trip into the past' and 'one into the future'. As if that had fooled Hally for one moment. She'd begrudgingly realised that the human was probably here to stay.

Well, stay as long as she could. Until she left or died. Hally grimaced. That was probably quite mean to say, or think.

She could see what The Doctor was doing though. Keeping the human around. She supposed it was for the best. Without the human, it would just be Hally and The Doctor travelling alone in their silent, awkward misery. Keeping Martha around was probably another tactic The Doctor was using to avoid facing his feelings and his daughter's feelings. If the human was around to force them on adventures and ask questions that required long answers then Hally and The Doctor wouldn't have to talk about Rose.

Time Lords really should learn to express their feelings better, Hally mused.

Martha had tried to get The Doctor to open up after they'd met with The Face of Boe. When he'd died and left a cryptic message for The Doctor.

"The legend says more." Novice Hame spoke. Although, perhaps she was less Novice after all this time.

"Don't. There's no need for that." The Doctor tried to brush her off.

"It says that the Face of Boe will speak his final secret to a traveller."

Martha gave Hally a curious look and Hally rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, but not yet. Who needs secrets, eh?" The Doctor turned back to The Face of Boe, smiling kindly.

Boe spoke, it evidently took great effort as he was no longer protected by his usual glass casing. "I have seen so much. Perhaps too much." He paused for breath. "I am the last of my kind, as you are the last of yours, Doctor."

Hally's face darkened. She felt Martha's confused gaze burning a hole in the side of her head.

The Doctor knelt down, placing a hand on Boe's temple. "That's why we have to survive. Both of us. Don't go."

Boe groaned softly. "I must. But know this, Time Lord. You are not alone."

Boe let out a final heavy breath, his eyes closing slowly.

There was a moment of quiet, broken only by Hame's gentle crying.

As they'd headed back to the TARDIS Martha had started asking questions.

Of course, the human had started asking questions.

"But what did he mean, the Face of Boe? You're not alone." Martha looked up at The Doctor, her face open with hope.

"I don't know." The Doctor shrugged as if he wasn't dwelling on the message at all.

Martha smiled and looked at Hally. "You've got us. Is that what he meant?"

Hally let out a snort. Pushing past the pair of them and storming forward to get to the TARDIS. She didn't need or want to hear The Doctor dance around the subject for the next 5 minutes.

She was sat, lounging on the console room chairs when the pair entered the TARDIS. Martha smiled appreciatively to The Doctor and he nodded.

His expression changed as he looked over to his daughter, which Martha seemed to pick up on because she quickly interjected.

"The Doctor told me. About your home planet. I'm sorry for your loss." Martha was looking at her with an empathetic smile.

Hally nodded slowly. "Yep."

Martha looked like she was about to leave the conversation, slightly affronted by Hally's cold response when she turned back to her and blurted out. "Are you not a Time Lord?"

The dark look crept back onto Hally's face. "Not biologically. Not completely."

Martha's eyes widened.

A sigh came from The Doctor. "The Face of Boe was just being dramatic. I class you as a Time Lord. You're family. You're my daughter! Of course, you're a Time Lord!" He put on a smile.

Hally shrugged. "Well, apparently not Time Lord enough for Mr Big Face to not class you as 'alone'." She said in a dramatic voice, mimicking The Face of Boe's breathy voice.

Martha was watching the interaction between the pair, the look on her face making it blatantly obvious that she was torn between doing the decent thing and leaving the room and her own curiosity.

The Doctor looked slightly stricken at her outburst. "I… I know that was probably hurtful… for you. I don't think it means anything Hal. Time Lord, Human, whatever you are… you're still my daughter and I'll always see you that way."

Hally shrugged. She knew she was being childish. It wasn't The Doctor's fault and his level-headed, logical argument was making it difficult to be annoyed at him. However, she was still offended.

"No… I know." She bit her lip. "I just… you know, I spent a long time on Gallifrey feeling like I didn't fit in and then with you… just… sometimes I still feel that. I didn't appreciate him singling me out like that." She'd crossed her arms over her chest.

The Doctor nodded, sending her a small smile. "I know." He approached her slowly, resting his hands on her arms. "I didn't love it either." He wrapped his arms around her back, enveloping her in a warm hug.

He pulled back, a cheeky smile on his face. "But you know, the old face was dying so I didn't think it appropriate to correct him." He winked at her and Hally let out a small laugh.

He touched her cheek gently. "It doesn't matter what you are. Who you are is much more important."

Hally let out a long breath and nodded. "Yeah." She hopped off the seat, playfully pushing him away slightly. "Well done, you've successfully ruined my tantrum." She pouted playfully.

The TARDIS had landed them in New York, in November of 1930. The three of them were walking through Central Park, The Doctor providing context as they entered into an area that was housing a village of tents and temporary homes.

"Yeah. Whole economy wiped out overnight. Thousands of people unemployed. All of a sudden, the huddled masses doubled in number with nowhere to go. So, they ended up here in Central Park."

Hally listened to him curiously. Opening her mouth to voice a question, but the human beat her to it.

"What, they actually live in the park? In the middle of the city?"

Sometimes she appreciated the human's presence, she really did. Martha seemed to be able to cut through The Doctor's happy-go-lucky bullshit and call him out when there was something wrong. But sometimes, Hally wished that they could have a short break from her.

They just never seemed to have a moment alone, just the two of them. With Rose… well, Rose seemed to sense when the father and daughter needed a moment alone. To awkwardly express their feelings in peace. But it didn't seem to be happening with this ape.

Hally wanted to ask The Doctor what he thought about what the Face of Boe had said.

"You are not alone."

She knew he'd probably try and brush it off again, like he'd done with Martha but she was curious. Could it really be true? There were other Time Lords out there? As she followed them through the village she felt her chest tighten with longing. A fight broke out to their right and a large man got in the middle of it, breaking it up.

Hally switched her attention to what was happening in front of her. No point dwelling on possibilities, the disappointment might crush her.

The Doctor approached that man, who had just split the loaf of bread the pair had been fighting over in half. "I suppose that makes you the boss around here." The Doctor grinned.

"And, er, who might you be?" The man looked them all up and down, suspicion creasing his face.

Martha spoke up, keen to introduce them. "He's the Doctor. I'm Martha and that's Hally."

The man introduced himself as Solomon and as The Doctor prodded with a few questions, Solomon let slip that he'd noticed that people were going missing in the night.

"And you're sure someone's taking them?" The Doctor asked.

"Doctor, when you got next to nothing, you hold on to the little you got. Your knife, blanket, you take it with you. You don't leave bread uneaten, fire still burning."

The Doctor nodded solemnly. "So the question is, who's taking them and what for?"

"Solomon!" A young man ran over to the group, he was slightly out of breath.

"Solomon, Mister Diagoras is here." He said, looking between the three newcomers.

Solomon let out a long sigh and started towards where the man had run from. The Doctor slotted in behind him, his long legs keeping up with Solomon with ease. Martha jogged after them, leaving Hally with the young man.

She smiled slightly at him and he blushed.

"I'm Frank… by the way…"

"Nice to meet you, Frank." Hally looked towards The Doctor who was already a few yards ahead. "We should probably…" Hally pointed towards the disappearing trio and Frank nodded quickly. They began walking after them.

When Hally and Frank caught up to the others, they'd joined a large group all circled around a man standing up on a makeshift platform. Mr Diagoras, Hally presumed.

He had dark hair, slicked back tight against his head. He was wearing a dark suit that was slightly too big for him and he was addressing the small crowd. Trying to drum up volunteers to go down into the tunnels.

Hally made a face, this man was surely an idiot, no one would volunteer themselves for such a task.

She turned her head to send a look towards Frank that would communicate her thoughts, when she saw that The Doctor, Martha, Solomon and Frank all had their hands raised.

"Oh, you've got to be kidding me."

The Doctor grinned at her as she raised her hand.

Martha gave Hally a look of desperation as they watched The Doctor climb down into the sewer. Hally started climbing next, muttering under her breath.

"Well, I'm sure this is exactly how Martha hoped to experience New York…"

Once they were all down the hole, Diagoras poked his head into view calling down to them. "Turn left. Go about a half a mile. Follow tunnel 273. Fall's right ahead of you, you can't miss it."

Frank looked up at the slither of light coming from the hold Diagoras was looming over. "And when do we get our dollar?"

"When you come back up." Diagoras countered.

"And if we don't come back up?" The Doctor asked, his face impassive.

Diagoras smirked. "Then I got no one to pay."

Solomon started to walk forward, his back straight with determination. "Don't worry, we'll be back."

Martha looked at Hally. "Let's hope so."

They all started to follow Solomon. Martha and Frank were chatting away. The boy seemed sweet.

Ahead of them, The Doctor was asking Solomon about Mr Diagoras. "A couple of months ago, he was just another foreman. Now, it seems like he's running most of Manhattan." Solomon explained.

"How'd he do that?" Hally piped up, Solomon turned slightly to address her as well.

"These are strange times. A man can go from being King of the Hill to the lowest of the low overnight. It's just for some folks it works the other way round."

The group stopped abruptly at the sound of The Doctor's yell of surprise. "Whoa!"

He rushed forward and as he crouched down Hally could see what had caused him to cry out. On the floor was a luminous… blob? Hally moved closer to get a better look.

"Is it radioactive or something? It's gone off, whatever it is." Martha was having a good look. "And you've got to pick it up." She scoffed as The Doctor touched the thing.

Getting a better look at it, it looked like some kind of sea creature, except bright luminous green. Hally hadn't seen anything like it before.

"Shine your torch through it. Composite organic matter. Martha? Medical opinion?" The Doctor looked at his companion.

Martha let out an incredulous laugh. "It's not human. I know that."

"Excellent observation." Hally chuckled.

The Doctor straightened up. "And I'll tell you something else. We must be at least half a mile in. I don't see any sign of a collapse, do you? So why did Mister Diagoras send up down here?"

"We're way beyond half a mile. There's no collapse, nothing." Solomon caught onto The Doctor's train of thought.

"Maybe…-" Hally was cut off.

Suddenly there was a knocking sound. The group jumped and Martha's torch moved swiftly around the tunnel they were in to find the cause. Four knocks, one after the other.

Then it went silent again, the only sound the heavy breathing of the few in the dark tunnel.

After a moment, Martha spoke. Hally could hear the fear in her voice. "That Diagoras bloke, was he lying?"

"Looks like it." The Doctor was scanning the tunnel.

"So why'd he want people to come down here?" Frank asked. The group went quiet again as each of them started to imagine the worst.

"Let's not panic…" Hally muttered.

The knocking sound happened again. Slightly louder this time.

Four consecutive knocks.

Martha let out a small whine of fear. "What is that?" She whispered.

Hally stared in the direction the noise had come from. Her hearts felt like they were beating inside her throat.

She could see the fear on the faces of the humans, she was sure her face probably mirrored theirs.

Knock, Knock, Knock, Knock.

Always just four.

She'd heard that before. Just like that. She'd heard them before.

"Solomon, I think it's time you took these two back." The Doctor motioned towards Frank and Martha. "It'll be much quicker that way."

A new noise entered the tunnel. High-pitched squealing seemed to echo around the tunnel.

"What the hell was that?" Solomon swung his torch around, lighting up the tunnel.

The squealing seemed to surround them, their torches lighting up various parts of the tunnel, trying to follow the noise.

The squealing suddenly stopped and Solomon's torch fell on a figure, hunched over against the wall.

"Who are you?" Solomon lifted his torch higher so to try and get a better look.

Frank slid out in front of him. "Are you lost? Can you understand me? I've been thinking about folk lost down here…"

The Doctor placed a hand on Frank's shoulder. "It's all right, Frank. Just stay back. Let me have a look." The Doctor approached the figure slowly. "He's got a point, though, my mate Frank. I'd hate to be stuck down here on my own. We know the way out. Daylight. If you come with us."

The figure turned, their face catching the light of their torches. Hally heard Martha gasp as she caught sight of the figure's face. Its face, it was the face of a pig.

"Is that, er, some kind of carnival mask?" Solomon took a step back.

"No, it's real. I'm sorry. Now listen to me. I promise I can help. Who did this to you?" The Doctor reasoned with the creature.

Martha's shaky voice echoed around them. "Doctor? I think you'd better get back here."

Hally followed the light of Martha's torch and saw that more of the pig creatures were silently starting to surround them.

"Doctor!" Hally shouted in warning.

The Doctor backed up and the group tried their best to huddle together and start retreating down the tunnel they'd arrived through.

"They're following you," Martha muttered.

The Doctor looked left and right, the creatures were going to cut them off.

"Yeah, I noticed that, thanks. Well then, Martha, Frank, Solomon, Hal…"

"What…?" Hally hissed, her eyes wide trying to watch the creatures in the dim light.

"Eh? Er, basically, run!" The Doctor turned suddenly and pushed them forward roughly causing them all to stumble into a run.

The pig creatures gave chase immediately, squealing loudly behind them. The noise travelled up the tunnels making it sound like it was coming from every direction.

The Doctor, Martha, Hally, Frank and Solomon ran as fast as they could through the maze of tunnels. They hit a junction and The Doctor darted left, the others following him. Hally was about the do the same when the sound of four knocks crept up the tunnel to her right.

She paused for a moment, head snapping around to look down the tunnel. She could hear the heavy footfalls of the creatures running along the tunnel behind her. She looked to the left, the other four figures were getting smaller. She made to step towards the left-hand tunnel when the knocking made her stop. Louder this time. More insistent. Coming from the right-hand tunnel.

The pig creatures were right behind her now.

She bolted to the right just as the creatures got within arm's reach of her. Hally ran as fast as she could, each junction she came to the light knocking sound would guide her way, away from the creatures. Until she couldn't hear them behind her at all.

Hally slowed to a jog and finally to a walk. Her lungs were burning and she took a moment to catch her breath. Her torch was the only light with her now and her breath the only sound. She bent over, hands resting on her knees as she took deep painful breaths.

She straightened up. The blackness beyond her torchlight reminded her of how alone she now was. With no knowledge of how to get out and absolutely no idea of which direction she'd come in.

"Shit…" She whispered breathlessly.

Perhaps this had been a terrible idea. Hally felt the chill of panic crawl up her back.

Had she been ridiculous? That sound could have been anything. Building works, water pipes, the creatures?

There was no way it could be anything else, right?

Hally got to the next junction and as before the four knocks signalled the way forward.

"Well… I'm down here either way…" She muttered.

It couldn't hurt to investigate.

She walked along the tunnels, following the gentle knocking sound for what felt like hours when in reality it had probably only been about 30 minutes. She was starting to feel like maybe she was going insane, finding meaning where there was none. But surely it couldn't be a coincidence that they happened every time she got to a junction?

Hally waited patiently as she stood at the end of the tunnel, looking left and right waiting for the noise to guide her.

It never came.

Hally frowned, looking back down the tunnel she'd just come from.

Then there was the sound of a commotion from the left. Voices. Multiple people. Hally slowly walked towards the voices. She let out a sigh of relief.

That was definitely Martha's voice.

Hally turned the corner, only to instantly retreat and hide behind the wall.

Martha had indeed been there. Frank too. But they'd been flanked by multiple pig creatures and a Dalek.

Hally could have screamed with rage. She clenched her fists, slowly peaking around the corner. There were more humans, all being led away by the Dalek and pig creatures.

She started to follow close behind, considering the best moment to act and destroy the Dalek. Perhaps it would lead her to a way out of the tunnels?

As she followed, Hally noticed the air change around her. That meant they were either getting closer to fresh air or further away…

The group of prisoners were halted as another Dalek joined the first.

Two Daleks.

Six pig creatures.

If she could take out the Daleks first, she imagined the pig creatures wouldn't be too difficult to knock out. From where she was stood, Hally could just about see both Daleks clearly. Watching them, she started to concentrate. Raising her left hand out in front of her, she allowed her mind to reach out and grasp onto the metal murderers.

She could feel them. But she had to make sure that she could destroy them both at once otherwise they'd detect her. As she watched them she allowed the rage to build inside her. Gritting her teeth, her anger started to burn up inside her.

A warm hand gently pressed over her outstretched one. Breaking her concentration. Her stomach felt like it had dropped into her legs. She turned, only to find that it was The Doctor who was attached to the hand that was gently lowering her own. He shook his head slowly at her.

Behind The Doctor, Hally could see two humans she didn't recognise. One of them appeared to be half like the pig creatures.

"Why not?" She whispered at him.

"Not before we know what they're up to… or how many there are. We need to remain hidden." He explained softly. He released her hand.

"How did you find them?" He asked, frowning.

Hally shrugged. "I followed the knocking."

His frown only deepened. "Daleks don't knock."

From their hiding place, they watched as the Daleks scanned their prisoners, sorting them into 'low' and 'high' intelligence.

The man with the pig features behind The Doctor was quietly explaining that those who they deemed low intelligence were sent to become pig slaves and the others were taken to the laboratory.

"Why? What for?" The Doctor asked him.

"I don't know. The masters only call it the Final Experiment." He responded.

Frank and Martha were scanned and both were deemed high intelligence. Martha was shouting at the Daleks now as they started to move them, leading them to wherever the laboratory was.

"Look out, they're moving!" The Doctor ducked out of the way to avoid being seen by the passing Daleks.

The pig man, Laszlo, sent his female friend away as The Doctor formulated a plan. As the last of the prisoners walked past he jumped up and slotted himself into the line. Laszlo and Hally followed quickly behind him.

They were led into a dimly lit alcove, tunnels branching off in every direction. In the middle were another two Daleks who made their presence known instantly.

"Dalek Sec is in the final stage of evolution." One barked.

Sec. Dalek Sec. They'd escaped the void.

The Doctor turned and gave Hally a meaningful look. One that said, don't do anything stupid.

"Scan him. Prepare for birth." One of the Daleks leading them responded.

"What's wrong with old Charlie boy over there?" Martha muttered, looking past the huddle of gold Daleks to the black Dalek behind them. Dalek Sec was shaking, the whole shell vibrating.

The Doctor nudged Martha. "Ask them."

Martha's mouth dropped open and she turned back to The Doctor hissing. "What, me? Don't be daft."

"We can't get noticed. Ask them what's going on."

Hally watched as Martha took a shaky step forward, evidently hating The Doctor's plan. "Daleks, I demand to be told. What is this Final Experiment? Report!"

One of the Daleks approached her. "You will bear witness."

"To what?" Martha spoke back. Feigning confidence.

"This is the dawn of a new age." The Dalek replied.

"What does that mean?" Martha tried again.

"We are the only four Daleks in existence, so the species must evolve a life outside the shell."

Hally poked The Doctor hard in the side. There were only four of them. If she could just…

"Not yet…" She heard in her mind as The Doctor swatted her hand away.

"The Children of Skaro must walk again." The Dalek moved away from the prisoners, revealing to them Dalek Sec as its shell stopped shaking.

The light in its eye stalk blinked out and slowly the black casing opened with a hiss. From within the casing, two legs shuffled forward, until a humanoid Dalek unfolded and stood up straight.

"What is it?" Martha whispered.

The creature had a humanoid body, but its head was like someone had mushed the inside of a Dalek with a human. It was at that moment Hally realised that the new Dalek was wearing Mr Diagoras' suit. Then it spoke. And it spoke with Mr Diagoras' voice.

"I am a human Dalek. I am your future."

February 2008

There had been no visits from Saxon for around two weeks. That was supposed to be good right? Hally figured that the visits weren't as necessary since she was now 'behaving'.

The morning after she'd walked away from the invitation to fight Courtney, Hally had awoken to find her wedding ring sitting on her bedside cabinet. He'd returned it to her. After she'd asked. After she'd done as she was told. The thought made her sick to her stomach. It was a reward. A reward for good behaviour.

The notion was extremely irritating. Although, she was rather relieved to have the ring back in her possession. Hanging around her neck, tucked into her clothes once more. She had tried to rationalise with herself. Perhaps if she could pretend to behave she could gain other benefits for herself? Maybe eventually she could be free of the band around her neck, finally, find out some answers to all the unanswered questions. Then again, every fibre of her being wanted to fight. She knew what they were doing was wrong, so she should be fighting them. Right?

Would The Doctor fight?

Perhaps not, if innocent lives were at risk…

Questions whirled around in her mind painfully as they had been doing ever increasingly for the past month. It had begun to cause a constant throbbing pain through her entire brain, emanating from the base of her skull.

Armitage was flanking her right side as escorted her to the canteen for breakfast. He stopped abruptly, grabbing her upper arm and forcing her to halt too when a siren-like alarm started blaring all along the corridor. Hally looked behind them, red lights were flashing angrily in the ceiling. Something, or someone had obviously triggered the alarm.

Hally looked back to Armitage who was looking at her blankly.

"I swear this isn't me." She smirked. He rolled his eyes, not speaking. Waiting, holding onto her arm tightly.

After a few moments, during which Hally assumed he was being passed information through his earpiece, he spoke. "There's been an incident in the canteen." He started marching forward again, pulling her with him. "You're going to the shower block while it's being sorted."

Hally let out a dramatic sigh. "Oh, but I have so many places to be."

He yanked painfully on her arm, not looking at her. "Like your cell?" He threatened.

Hally let out a small huff. Spoilsport. "Got it. Shower block." She rolled her eyes hopelessly. Anywhere was better than being stuck back inside her cell and if she was honest with herself, she could definitely do with a shower.

He led her along the grey, clinical corridor to the communal shower. As they reached the door, Armitage muttered to the other two facility guards that were positioned at the entrance of the showers. The guards nodded to Armitage and made their leave. Hally figured he'd sent them to help out with whatever 'incident' was transpiring. He moved through the door, hovering in the space between the door and the shower.

The shower block itself was a rectangular room with about a dozen water facets lining one wall. The other wall had basic shelves where Hally dumped her clothes and grabbed a small bottle of body wash. There weren't many in the block, just three other girls. Without really looking at them, Hally moved to the nearest facet and turned the water on. From where she was, she could see Armitage's back as he waited patiently near the door. That was one blessing at least. He let her shower without staring at her. Although, with a shiver, Hally figured there were probably cameras in the room anyway.

Considering that thought, Hally turned to face the wall while she continued to scrub herself down. Trying to run her fingers through her hair to get some of the knots out.

"I promised I'd get you."

Hally frowned at the familiar female voice, she made to turn towards Courtney but before she could, she was roughly pushed forward. Her face made a horrible cracking sound as it smacked into the wall in front of her.

For a split second, Hally was outraged and arched around to look at the girl to hopefully push her just as hard. However, she never had the chance before a sharp pain sliced into her left side, just below her ribs.

She let out a cry of pain and clutched at her side. The human smirked slightly and backed away from her quickly. From the corner of her eye, she could see Armitage advancing towards them, although he seemed to be doing so at a pace that did not match the urgency of the situation.

Hally knew even before she pulled her hands away from her side that there would be blood. What she wasn't expecting was the amount of blood. It rushed over the palm of her hands and was already streaking the floor. The running water making it look like a murder scene.

Hally couldn't help the small ironic laugh that escaped her lips. She supposed it might be a murder scene soon. She tried to press her hands into her side to stem the bleeding, but that didn't seem to be helping. Her eyes were already glassy, a dark fog creeping into view.

That was fast.

She'd expected to bleed out for at least a few minutes.

This wasn't normal.

Not that she'd been stabbed many times before but it wasn't usually this quick was it?

There was so much blood on the floor.

Armitage's rough hands were hauling her up and as his eyes met hers she was hit with the crushing realisation that something was indeed very, very, wrong.

Fear.

He was scared.

So scared.

Which probably meant she was fucked.

He was shouting now. Although she couldn't really make out what he was saying.

Her eyes closed for a brief second. He shook her violently. She could see Courtney. She wasn't looking so self-assured anymore. Fear. Again. Why would she be scared? That bitch had stabbed her.

She hadn't realised, but she'd already collapsed. The only thing keeping her upright was Armitage and his large hands. But he was evidently weakening because the world was tilting. The running water was rushing past her ears now. She was lying down in the pool of blood.

Oh yes.

It was her blood.

Whoops.

Hally considered for a moment. Would she die like this?

It was possible.

Probable.

This felt a bit like dying.

No magical healing powers today.

She would have laughed if she could.

Above her Armitage was shouting at her. But she couldn't hear anything he was saying. The black fog was creeping further and further over her eyes. Maybe she was shaking. She was definitely cold.

It was like Hally had separated herself from what was happening above her, around her. Here, everything was quiet. It was almost peaceful. But outside of her looked to be terribly busy. Panic. That was what she saw in his eyes. Terror and panic.

That was strange.

The fog took over and Hally's eyes fluttered shut.

Peace.
