Beacon: Day…

History had come to an end with Link deciding to head off to Sparring & Team building with Team JYLN. Team RNBW was lagging a bit as Weiss was putting the finishing touches on her notes. Today's lecture had seemed more than Dr. Oobleck tended to get through.

"Come on, Weiss!" Once the Schnee closed her notebook and put it away, Ruby was pulling her teammate out her seat with Pyrrha and Blake following. "We got to get to Sparring & Team Building!"

"Right, Ruby." Weiss stated, sighing with a smile on her face. "Thank you for keeping us on schedule."

"Speaking of schedules, I believe we have an upcoming test in Weapon Engineering & Upkeep." Blake noted. "You're still willing to let me look over your notes, right Ruby?"

"Yeah, of course Blake." Ruby voiced.

By now she'd let Weiss go, the team walking back to their dorm to change into their normal attires for the coming class.

Blake gave a small smile. "Thank you."

Ruby gave her teammate a toothy grin with a thumbs up. "Don't mention it, Blake!"

"Speaking of weapons, your pointers on maintaining weapons have been greatly appreciated." Pyrrha voiced. "With the oil you recommended, I've noticed Milo shifting between its forms smoother than it had previously."

"Any time, Pyrrha." Ruby stated happily.

Ruby was certainly starting to feel like a proper leader compared to how she'd conducted herself at the start of the year. It just felt good to know she was making a positive impact on the people she led.

Sparring & Team Building

"Alright, settle down class." Glynda voided, quieting any conversations which had been happening. "Today, our first match shall be Ruby Rose vs Weiss Schnee."

"Well, there's a match." Link's thoughts echoed a similar sentiment many in the class shared.

"Let us head on down." Weiss voiced.

Ruby nodded. "Yeah."

The two members of Team RNBW took to the stage, coming to stand across from one another. They utilized their scrolls, causing the display on the far wall of the arena to fill with their information.

"If you are ready, you may begin." Glynda voiced.

Ruby vs Weiss

Weiss tried to ready her stance, but Ruby was upon her in a flurry of rose petals with her scythe raised. Using the hooked blade, she swept her opponent's feet and threw Weiss into the air. She then reconfigured Crescent Rose into its gun mode and shot at the falling heiress.

Weiss utilized her Semblance to make glyphs and sprung off them to avoid the bullets. When the heiress had her footing in this, she fired back with ethereal Dust projectiles. The girl in red bounded away, dodging the attacks which allowed Weiss to land safely on the ground.

Ruby shot at the heiress again, but she brought up a spinning white glyph which shielded her from her opponent's bullets. Ruby countered this by darting forward and around the shield where she then unfolded her scythe, curving it around Weiss to strike.

Weiss saw this coming, and the two ended up locking blades in close quarters combat. Here the heiress gained control of the fight as she used her balance and poise to deflect Ruby's weapon with precise thrusts. The leader wasn't far behind with her raw speed and rapid flourishes.

This saw the two dancing around one another and chipping away at their respective opposing Aura. Weiss soon shifted back, summoning a Gravity Glyph beneath Ruby. The girl was lifted into the air, but she'd swept her scythe under Weiss' feet to carry her up as well.

Both tumbled towards the ceiling, locking eyes at the apex of their fall before darting at one another, Weiss bounding from glyphs and Ruby using her weapon's recoil. Ruby shot towards Weiss, smacking her with the small blade at the end of the scythe's shaft.

Weiss threw Ruby off with a slash before starting to stand on a glyph. The leader spun at her, sweeping her teammate's feet with her blade. Weiss lost her balance, both still plummeting. Spinning her weapon's chambers, Weiss formed two bright red glyphs between her and Ruby.

They exploded, obscuring the pair in smoke as they landed. When said smoke cleared, it was revealed the pair had rushed forward and clashed their blades again. Ruby inched Crescent Rose forward, aiming its barrel at Weiss' face. She fired; the bullet glanced past her opponent's cheek.

The recoil sent Ruby away from Weiss. The audience saw them breathing heavily, their Auras becoming visible with quick flashes of brilliant light. Their teammates and friends watched the fight intensely. Ruby recovered first, dashing at Weiss with her scythe held high.

Weiss snapped her blade up, deftly moving to the side while drawing out Ice Dust and slashing the ground. A large wall of ice sprang from the tip at an angle. The speeding Ruby ended up on it and slipped before her momentum slingshot her into the far stone wall, leaving her in a crater.

Ruby had a moment to breathe before Weiss surrounded her with several pale glyphs. They shot out a barrage of icicles which trailed after Ruby as she darted from her perch. The girl zigged and zagged through the storm, preparing to slam Crescent Rose into Weiss.

Gritting her teeth, Weiss spun her sword's chambers to the light-yellow one causing her sword to glow the same color. She imbued Dust with the next glyph, catching Ruby only a few feet away and slowing her. Weiss then fired off several more projectiles.

They caught Crescent Rose and Ruby herself. The blade, shaft, and each limb had a small white glyph surrounding them, preventing her from moving. Sweat falling from her face, Weiss reeled back while spinning her sword's dust chamber.

Weiss launched off another glyph, thrusting at her opponent. She landed a devastating blow, the glyphs holding Ruby in place shattering as she crumpled to the ground in a heap. Weiss was just past Ruby, her sword still extended as she heavily panted.

Sparring & Team Building

"The victor is Weiss Schnee." Glynda declared.

Looking to the display of their Aura: Ruby was at 12% while Weiss was at 22%. There was silence in the room as Weiss breathed in and out, slowly regaining composure. She then sheathed her blade and approached Ruby.

"It was a good fight." Weiss stated, holding her hand out to her leader.

Ruby looked at the offered hand before accepting it with a smile. "Yeah."

"Still ever exhausting being the perfect teammate." Weiss thought, helping the younger girl up.

No one noticed as the thorny pattern was just visible for mere seconds. Anyone who looked would only see the smallest section of it before it vanished once more.

"Miss Rose, in the future you should endeavor to always be weary of your surroundings." Glynda advised. "If you fail to doing that while going too fast, work to correct that facet of your combat."

"Right, understood." Ruby returned.

Class proceeded from there with further matches, though by the end of it Link and Pyrrha did not have a match with anyone. This meant their scheduled spar, an hour after class, would be taking place within the assigned combat room.

Dorms: Later…

Come time to head to the combat room, Link ended up heading out the dorm with Pyrrha.

"Now that it's here, I can say I was hoping you'd spar with me sooner." Pyrrha pointed out.

"Sorry to keep you waiting." Link returned. "It just seemed something was always going on. Getting used to academy life, everyone pulling me in different directions, and certain classes taking their own brand of attention. Not that it's a bad thing, mind you."

"I understand what you mean." Pyrrha assured. "Merely wanted you to know I've been anticipating this for quite some time."

"Don't think you guys are going to have your spar without us there to see it." Ruby called out.

Said younger girl stepped out of the dorm with Weiss, Blake, and Team JYLN.

"Dang right, Ruby." Yang grinned. "I'm curious to see this myself."

Weiss nodded. "I have been anticipating this match for some time as well."

"Can't deny my interest either." Blake noted.

"Yeah!" Nora shot a fist into the air. "This is going to be good."

"Well, I'm not opposed to you all coming." He looked to Pyrrha. "What say you?"

"I do not mind either." Pyrrha agreed with a smile.

"After our spar, since all of us will be there, we can get Jaune started on the basics." Link noted.

"I was wondering when you'd approve Jaune to start training for real." Yang laughed. "Up until now, you've managed to run him into the ground going over his stance, footwork, and how he wields his weapon."

"That is foundation, Yang." Link started walking, prompting everyone to do the same. "It's something he'll continue working on, but he's decent enough to the point he can start the basics proper."

Jaune was still willing to put in the work, though he paled as he couldn't believe that first lesson turned into weeks working on just those few things.

Flashback

Link had Pyrrha accompany Jaune and him to the combat room where he had his fellow blond show his stance. The green clad swordsman didn't even waste a second before pushing his friend to the ground.

"Hey!" Jaune complained.

"Your role is that of a strategist." Link began firmly. "If the strategist is to be out in the field, they must not falter. Your weapons, armor, and role all dictate you are a tank. To embody that properly in how you fight, your stance must be wider and lower to the ground."

"I can show him a proper style if you'll try to shove me." Pyrrha offered.

Without any hesitation, Link whirled around and shoved the girl in the shoulders. Pyrrha had been as good as her word, as she merely rocked slightly without falling.

"That is what you must aim for." Link declared, seeing Jaune get up and move next to Pyrrha before doing his best to imitate her stance. "Imitation is said to be a form of flattery, but it will not help you here. You have a couple inches on Pyrrha, so your stance must be wider."

Jaune slid his legs apart a bit before lowering himself.

Link took a moment to walk around his fellow blond. "It's a poor stance born of bad habit." He shoved Jaune, putting him on his butt again. "We'll break that through repetition. Now, stand because we'll be going through footwork."

Jaune stood before Link who displayed the basic footwork a beginning swordsman used for stability in a fight. He then showed how to transition from stance to stance to maintain stability. Jaune paid attention, though his attempts to do it were rather poor in Link's opinion.

After about ten minutes, Jaune was frowning. "I've seen you fight, and it's not like this."

"While I am a leader, my role is not the tank." Link informed. "Even beyond that, this is merely the fundamentals from which you can branch off into your own unique style once you have them down. Moving on, Pyrrha and I shall show you how to maintain distance."

Pyrrha nodded before moving to face Link. The green clad swordsman started quickly walking towards her, prompting the member of RNBW to backpedaled while using the footwork they'd showed Jaune. Link then came to a stop and started moving back, which caused Pyrrha to follow.

The two moved back and forth, keeping their distance relatively even the entire time. They moved easily, always using the footwork they'd shown to demonstrate. After about five minutes of this, Link stopped moving and relaxed his stance with Pyrrha following suit.

"Could you explain what exactly that was?" Jaune asked. "I mean, I get the idea. You were both trying to keep yourselves a certain distance apart, but it wasn't just that."

"It's about reach." Link replied. "You take your height and the length of your blade into account. With both in mind, you'd ideally get into the perfect position to strike. Greater reach is generally an advantage, though be weary if someone with a shorter reach gets in your guard."

"If someone with a shorter reach gets inside your guard, it'd turn to their advantage." Jaune nodded in understanding. "Basically, you want to stay at a distance where you can attack easier than your opponent."

"That's the general idea." Link noted. "For now, you'll be working on proper stances and footwork. If those are good, you'll be able to attack or defend quicker. Keep in mind, you want to always maintain balance while keeping your center of gravity low and centered."

Jaune frowned. "Any time I've seen you two fight, neither of you used footwork I could see."

"I believe we've spoken on your lack of knowledge, though this is a lack of observation." Link voiced. "You'll need to start learning how to pay attention in addition to your current increased studies; otherwise, that tactical mind you have is going to waste."

"That's the thing Jaune." Pyrrha stated. "Anyone who applies themself can garner knowledge and grow stronger; however, not everyone is suited to the realm of tactics. From what I've seen and heard, you got that gift in spades."

"Of course, there's a time and place to develop one's skills." Link crossed his arms. "Right now, in this room, you are working on getting the basics down. To even get to swinging a sword, you must have your stance and footwork down. It's all about practice, lots of it."

"Alright." Jaune got into the stance he was shown. "If I've got to practice, we might as well…"

Link pushed him down again. "Stance up again."

Third Floor Combat Room: Present

Reaching the combat room, Link and Pyrrha wasted no time syncing their scrolls to the nearby screen. They then moved to opposite ends of the arena floor while the others gathered in the small section of seating available for observing matches.

Pyrrha brandished Milo and Akouo, the former in its short sword configuration. A focused yet pleased look was on her face. Link had his sword and shield in hand, his expression firm and stance solid. He spun his blade a couple of times in anticipation.

"This battle ends when one of you is in the red." Ruby declared. "Begin!"

Link vs Pyrrha

At once, they charged and met within the dead center of the room. Both swung their blades and blocked with their respective shields. They then backed up slightly before rapidly clashing with one another. Sword slashed shield, shield bashed shield, and sword grinded sword.

As they slammed shields against one another, Link raised his blade before bringing it down to sweep Pyrrha's feet from under her. The red head's eyes widened for only a second before her expression refocused and she rolled into the fall to end up back on her feet.

Link had rolled along to end up across from her, leading to the two clashing their respective blades against the other's respective shield once more. This time Pyrrha took the initiative by pulling her sword back and thrusting it forward, only for Link to leap up atop the blade.

Before she could pull it away, the green clad swordsman slammed his boot into her face sending the red head tumbling along the ground. Pyrrha managed to end up on all fours before rising to her feet, her expression clearly astonished at what her opponent did.

She didn't get much time to feel that way as Link was already sprinting at her. Rather than clash with him, she threw out a kick which caught him off guard to the point he just missed blocking it. Link tightened his grip on his weapons as he was now sent tumbling along the ground.

The green glad swordsman dragged his blade, cutting into the ground and slowing his movement until he ended up in a crouched position. Pyrrha was now the one sprinting. Rather than do the same, he took a deep breath and awaited her.

As she swung her sword, Link deftly moved his feet to dodge her before swinging his shield edge first into the arm holding her blade. The blow was enough to see Pyrrha loose her grip on her blade and send it across the room. Link immediately followed up by swinging his blade.

The red head moving her shield to block. As the green clad swordsman's blade hit her shield, he pushed forward to get the shield out of the way. Link followed up by stepping forward, aiming the edge of his shield at her neck.

Just then, his eyes locked on Pyrrha's hand rising not in an attempt to defend but rather open palmed. Suddenly, he could feel tugging on his shield as he was sent spinning before quickly managing to regain his footing. His eyes then shifted as he processed what happened.

"No matter who you were, mistakes could happen; however, this was a bit too much." Upon this thought entering his mind, it flashed across the various spars he observed Pyrrha partaking in class. "I understand…perhaps only the basics of it, but I understand."

Given what he's seen and now felt, it was unlikely Pyrrha had Goodwitch's Semblance. Given how others have fumbled, though not at a crucial moment like he just did, Link understood his opponent's Semblance interacted with metal. He just wasn't quite certain the extent.

In the time it took him to process this, Pyrrha physically recovered her sword and was charging shield first at the green clad swordsman. In response, Link turned in her direction and threw his blade into the air. This action was just enough to divide the Spartan's attention, even if by a little.

The green clad swordsman then shoved his shield forward edge first with all the strength he could muster. It clashed against the flat of Pyrrha's shield before she was sent skidding back. Link immediately followed up by spinning and throwing his shield.

It slammed squarely into Pyrrha's gut, sending her skidding back further. Link then caught his falling sword while withdrawing his hand rifle at the same time. He fired on Pyrrha, hitting her with the first bullet before noting how subsequent bullets seemed to miss their mark.

This gave the red head time to recover while Link noted how her hand the shield was attached to was moving just as subtly as her hand which held the blade had prior. With her deflecting his bullets, Link now rushed forward while not even bothering to go for his shield.

He swung his blade, only for Pyrrha to bash her shield into it before swinging her own blade. She had expected her opponent to fire on her, only for him to back flip at just the right time to utilize his Flurry Rush. He now surged forward, slashing with everything he had.

As time in the immediate area resumed its normal course, Pyrrha's Aura flickered as the two proceeded to clash once again. This time it was sword grinding against sword, sword against shield, and firmly gripped gun against both.

While this led to a similar instance as prior, it was different in that Link's Aura was being chipped away far more than he got Pyrrha before. Due to the lack of his shield, his Aura now shimmered as Pyrrha pressed the attack.

"They're both in the yellow!" Ruby exclaimed, seeing others glancing at the screen.

It was a close match as Pyrrha utilized this opportunity to close the gap in Aura.

"Could Link actually win this?" Jaune questioned.

That was on all of their minds. Sure, they'd seen Link challenge Professor Goodwitch before following it up with never taking a loss in class after. Still, this was the aptly named "Invincible Girl". She'd won tournaments and had the same undefeated record in class.

"Now!" Link thought.

When Pyrrha pushed her shield forward, Link dodged just to the side before grabbing and tossing it aside. He followed up by slamming his foot into Pyrrha's gut, sending her skidding back. Link now reared back his blade while charging his green Aura to it

Pyrrha, for her part, shifted Milo to javelin form. Upon Link thrusting his blade forward to send out an Aura Beam, she fired off her weapon's gun function as she hurled it at him. The Aura and weapon missed hitting one another by an inch.

As such, they sailed on before slamming into the guts of both students knocking them off their feet. The buzzer went off, seeing the display freeze to display their respective Auras at that precise moment.

Third Floor Combat Room

"That is the match!" Nora yelled. "Link and Pyrrha are in the red!"

Both students hit the ground and were sent skidding along their backs before coming to a stop.

"With one percentage more, Link takes the spar!" Yang called out.

Looking to the display of Aura: Pyrrha was at 13% while Link was at 14%. Both were under 15%, which in this instance constituted considering who had more of a percentage under that threshold. Link and Pyrrha then stood, the latter's eyes were shining.

A smile was nearly splitting the red head's face as she approached. "That was even better than I hoped it'd be. If only I had more opponents like you during my tournament days."

"Yeah well, been a long time since a match has come down to the wire like that." Link noted, looking to the board.

Either he outclassed his opponent, or they outclassed him these days. There wasn't really a match like this in recent memory. The closest he got was that spar with Goodwitch. Unlike that one, this could have clearly gone either way had just one action resulted in a different outcome.

"You don't need to utilize modesty on my account." Pyrrha laughed, feeling a sense of freedom. "You were magnificent to the point I can't wait to see just how far you'll go."

The seven spectators now descended upon them then with congratulations of their own. Given they were all here to witness it, no one could deny the result. Even then, it would take a moment for some to truly let it sink in.

A Little Later…

Once things settled down, Link spoke up. "I do believe it's time to get started on Jaune's basics." He looked to Weiss and Blake. "Given Pyrrha and I's Aura levels, I'll be relying on you two as his primary sparring partners."

"Of course." Blake stated.

"So long as he remembers to keep it professional." Weiss stated.

"We should grab our gear." Jaune stated, opting for professionalism.

Those three soon returning with their weapons.

"We're going to focus on the sword first." Link looked to his fellow blond leader. "Get into your stance and pull your sword alone." Jaune unsheathed his blade, gripping it with both hands. "Just your primary hand. Two handed techniques are later."

Jaune let his left-hand fall. "What should I do with my left hand?"

"Put it at your back, stick it in your pocket, let it hang at your side…" Link shrugged. "So long as it doesn't grasp that blade of yours, I don't really care."

Jaune nodded before putting his left hand at the small of his back.

Link now unsheathed his sword and stepped close. "Now, I'll show you the form you want to use." His gaze turned to the other sword users. "Weiss, Blake, could you come here?" The girls nodded and moved as he gestured to the space in front. "I'd like you two to mirror Jaune and I."

They nodded with Blake moving to stand in front of Link while Weiss moved in front of Jaune, both drawing their blades. Link aimed his blade at the middle of Blake's throat, seeing her mimic his blade's placement.

"Now, point your blade a bit higher than their center mass, at their head or neck." Link instructed Jaune. "You want to bring your blade back to that point after every parry or attack. When you're not defending or attacking, you always want your sword pointed at your opponent."

Weiss drew Myrtenaster and pointed the sharp end at Jaune's throat. He did his best to imitate the others, bringing Crocea Mors up to point it, waveringly, at Weiss's throat. He noticed he could just tap the end of Weiss's blade with his own, so he shuffled back a few inches.

"Like this?" Jaune asked.

"Hm, good enough though you'll work on it more in the future." Link stated. "Beyond that, we'll need to go over maintaining the perfect distance depend on your opponent. For now, try maintaining the distance you have."

Jaune nodded. "Right."

"Now, this is the most basic, defensive pattern." Link moved his wrist. "Upper right..." He moved his wrist across his body, keeping the blade pointed in Blake's general direction. "Upper left..." He tilted his wrist, so the blade pointed downwards.

"Lower left." He brought the blade across, leaving the point facing downward. "Lower right. While this won't work all the time, just these four can defend from a lot provided you use them correctly."

Jaune blinked. "Really?"

"Blake, would you care to demonstrate?" Link asked.

"Sure." Blake nodded. "Want me on attack or defense?"

"Defense.

"Alright. Go ahead."

Link swung his sword at Blake's head, so she moved her katana half a foot to the right which saw their blades meet. He then swung lower, seeing Blake bring her sword down with a smooth motion and catch the sword again. This proceed a dozen times, moving through the four parries.

"Thank you, Blake." Link stepped back before turning to his fellow blond. "Do you see how it's done?"

"I think so?" Jaune answered hesitantly.

It seemed simple enough, though he'd thought the same about stances and footwork. Nevertheless, he had seen enough to understand.

"Weiss, demonstrate some attacks for Jaune." Link voiced. "Keep it slow and call your targets."

"Of course." She looked at Jaune. "Upper right."

She sliced for his right shoulder with a smooth, swift stroke. Jaune reacted almost instinctively, bringing his blade to the side and catching Weiss's rapier on his own.

"I did it!" He muttered, almost surprised.

"Lower left." Weiss' blade made a small circle as it came around and struck him in the upper left thigh before he could parry it. "Upper left." Jaune managed to get his blade over in time to catch the blow. "Upper right." Weiss' blade came around and Jaune parried. "Lower right."

Jaune brought his blade down a fraction too slow, missing Weiss' rapier as it tagged him lightly.

Later…

Weiss continued working as his sparring partner while Link coached from the side. Occasionally, he'd pause them and have Blake help display proper technique when he faltered. Ren and Nora excused themselves at some point which left Pyrrha, Ruby, and Yang to talk amongst themselves.

"Thank you, Weiss." Link voiced genuinely. "I think that's enough tonight."

"Alright." Weiss closed her eyes and seemed to steel herself before opening them again. "More tomorrow?"

"More for many days to come." Link responded. "As I have a tournament to prepare for, it will fall to you, Blake, and Pyrrha to help him. The rest will be busy instructing me on how to wield all my new weapons."

While it wouldn't be exact, except in Ren's case given his bladed pistols were daggers, Link was certain he could take what they showed him and convert it into something compatible with the weapons he now had. Wild would be there every night to shore up what they couldn't teach.

"How you go about dividing up this duty, I'll leave it to you three." Link stated. "Naturally, it might do you some good for the two not helping him on any given day to spar against one another. You never know what you could pick up, even if your blades are different."

"I see." Weiss nodded.

Jaune smiled weakly. "Thanks in advance for your help, you three." He then bowed to each of the three girls who would be helping him. "I appreciate it."

"It's no problem Jaune." Pyrrha assured.

"I'm fine with it as well." Blake added.

Weiss's cold look warmed slightly. "By the unique circumstances of things, even though we are on two different teams most of the time, we are still teammates some of the time through Link." She nodded. "This is the least I can do within that role, I suppose."

Beacon: Evening...

Team RNBW headed off for their dorm while Link, Yang, and Jaune headed to the cafeteria where they'd meet Ren and Nora for dinner.

"With this settling in, there are other things I want you to do Jaune." Link stated. "Firstly, set up an appropriate time to jog and see about getting at minimum one of your teammates to join you. You need to work on your endurance and jogging is great for that."

The green clad swordsman would have invited him to jog with Pyrrha and him, were it not for the fact no one else seemed to be up when they were in the morning.

"After Combat Class, provided you did not have a spar that day, you will come to our combat room. For an hour you will work on your stances and footwork. Come the next hour, weather you've already been that room or not, you'll spend another hour on parries and swings.

I'll also be giving free range to Weiss, Blake, and Pyrrha on when they feel you are ready for blocking and more. Lastly, you are currently working to be a tank. That means working on your body beyond just swinging a sword."

"Leave that to me." Yang pointed her thumb at herself while throwing her free arm around her partner. "I'll take my partner into the weight room and have him more muscular in no time."

"The weight room?" Jaune questioned.

"Our goal is to make you a proper tank." Link replied. "That means taking heavy hits without getting knocked around. Not to mention it'll help you hit harder. Bottom line, weight training must go in your schedule somewhere."

Jaune sighed. "Am I going to have time for classes and homework with all of this training?"

"Jaune, you're a leader in your own right." Link stated. "Work with your team on a schedule and rely on one another. Together I'm certain you can make a schedule that accounts for all this extra training, classes, homework, and down time."

"Yeah, we'll talk it over with Nora and Ren." Yang grinned. "Who knows, we might be able to turn a lot of this into team time. Jogging and lifting together is a great group activity in my opinion."

Jaune sighed again. "Right."

While his words were polite, his voice had become noticeably less enthusiastic.

"What's wrong, partner?" Yang asked.

"Don't misunderstand me." Jaune voiced. "I understand I need a lot of work, but it doesn't mean I don't feel like the sidekick that's holding everyone back."

"If you were holding me back, I've already pushed you off onto others." Link shook his head. "That's just not the case as teaching the basics helps anyone in the long run. No one's going to suffer over helping you."

"If anything, where you are at has led to good things." Yang noted. "Thanks to that, it was easy to save you from the Nightmare. Not to mention we're only talking now about team bonding through training."

Jaune thought about it. "When you two put it that way…"

"No matter how you want to put it, initiation was over a month ago now." Link informed. "Even if your team or I could go back to change things, I don't think we would."

"There's no thinking to be had." Yang patted her partner on the back. "You're stuck with us just like we're stuck with you. If you stop all this moping and let us all help you, I know you'll stand with us a lot sooner than you would fighting it."

"I suppose I could try looking at things more positively." Jaune returned with a genuine smile.

ThranduiI Oropherion Redux(ch. 1): I do believe one's distaste for a story can be phrased nicer, but you are certainly valid this story simply not being your cup of tea. I thank you for taking the time to read my fanfiction.

Monster King: Thank you.
