CHAPTER SEVEN
(Chapter Title - You Happened)

Robin and her friends were heading to the stables when all of their phones went off - they had gotten call backs and were to report to the Mess Hall immediately.

All of them headed to the Mess Hall, along with Mollie and Savanna.

"Congratulations all of you for getting a call back" Mae said, "you remember Doug the accompanist?"

Everyone waved to Doug and turned back to Mae as she handed them sheet music for It's Time To Dance.

"I have handed you sheet music for It's Time To Dance. Feel free to sing whoever's part - I'm just hear to listen and give advice" Mae said.

Everyone warmed up, then took turns singing It's Time To Dance, either in character or as themselves.

Once they had sung for an hour, Mae dismissed them.

The following day, everyone gathered around the clipboard in the Mess Hall.

"The cast list has been posted!" Someone said, looking for their name, "ensemble? I guess it's better than nothing."

The big group moved away after finding their names.

Table Read Will Happen Tomorrow at the Performance Space

"Congrats on your roles, guys" the friends told each other, hugging and high-fiving one another.

The following day, everyone headed to the Performance Space for a table read and to get familiar with the script.

"Hello everyone" Ian greeted the actors and actresses as they sat on the wooden benches, except for Ruby, who was on a comfortable looking chair, "grab a script and get comfortable. We're not gonna worry about singing right now - we're just gonna get comfortable with the script. If all of you could go around and tell me your full name and what character you're playing, that'd be great."

"I'm Ted Mosby and I'm playing Sheldon" Ted said.

"I'm Lily Aldrin and I'm playing Alyssa Greene" Lily said.

"I'm Robin Scherbatsky and I'm playing Mrs. Greene" Robin said, smiling at her best friend.

Once introductions were made, everyone took turns reading from their script as their character.

An hour later, the table read was done.

"Rehearsal starts tomorrow at noon and go until dinner. Please bring a snack and a bottle of water. Those of you who have smaller parts we won't need you as much, so if you want to help build sets or with costuming, that'd be okay" Ian said, "you're free to do what you want. See you at dinner."

Everyone left the Performance Space, talking with each other.

"What shall we do to celebrate?" Phoebe asked.

"We could have a movie night and watch The Prom. I'll see if we can order a pizza or something" Marshall said.

"That's a great idea" Joey said.

"Where do we wanna watch it?" Lily asked.

"I smuggled my portable TV into camp, so we can watch the movie on it" Savanna said.

"Damn girl!" Rachel said, laughing.

"I'll go find Mollie and see if she wants to do that" Savanna said.

"I'm gonna head to the mess hall for a snack. I'll meet you guys in the cabin" Monica said, heading for the Mess Hall.

Everyone said their goodbyes and went in opposite directions.

Monica entered the Mess Hall and saw a bright blue flier clipped to the clip board next to the dessert table. In black letters, the flier said:

TONIGHT THERE WILL BE A MOVIE UNDER THE STARS.

TONIGHT'S MOVIE - THE PROM

TIME - 7:00 PM

RATING - PG-13

RUN TIME - 131 MINUTES

SNACKS AND CHAIRS WILL BE PROVIDED

SURPRISE GUEST STARS WILL BE DOING A QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION AFTER THE MOVIE, ALONG WITH TAKING PICTURES

No way! Monica thought to herself, taking a picture of the flier before grabbing a snack and headed back to the SIX cabin.

At six PM, Lily and her friends claimed chairs towards the middle of the Performance Space, putting their names on the chairs, along with a blanket.

"I'll stay here and guard the chairs" Joey said, "could someone get me some food?"

"I'll stay here, too" Robin said, sitting a couple chairs away from Joey. She glared at some girls who tried to take the chairs they claimed, "you take that chair and I'll shove it up your-"

"Nothing - she'll shove it up your nothing" Joey said, grinning at the girls, looking them up and down, "how you doin'?"

The girls giggled and hurried off.

"So, what part did you get in the musical?" Robin asked Joey.

"I got Trent Oliver. You?" Joey asked.

"I'm Mrs. Greene" Robin said, "it's funny - my best friend is younger than me and she's playing Alyssa."

"Lily got Alyssa? Nice!" Joey said, "who's playing Emma?"

"Monica, I think" Robin said.

"Monica got what?" Monica asked, coming over with snacks - nachos, popcorn, Sour Patch Kids and a 6 pack of Coke Zero. She was being helped by Rachel and Lily.

"The part of - FOOD!" Joey exclaimed.

"Hold on, big boy - this is for all of us to share" Monica said.

Barney and the guys came over, along with the girls.

"There's also pizza" Lily said, sitting down with a plate piled high with cheese pizza.

"I'll be right back" Joey said, going to get pizza. He came back with a box of pepperoni pizza.

"You gonna share that?" Marshall asked Joey.

"Joey doesn't share food" Joey said, holding the pizza box close like Sméagol from Lord of the Rings holding the One Ring, "how many times do I need to tell you guys?"

A short while later, Ian took to the stage, smiling, "good evening everyone and welcome to movie night. Tonight's movie is The Prom, which is the musical we'll be putting on at the end of camp.

This is also a sing a long, so feel free to sing, but do save your voices because at the end of the movie, we have six special guests who are more than happy to answer any and all questions regarding the movie.

There will be a ten-minute intermission after the song Tonight Belongs To You for everyone to use the bathroom and refresh their snacks.

That being said, enjoy the movie" Ian said, going to sit in the front row with Ruby and some of the staff from the camp.

A large screen descended from the ceiling and a projector turned on. The opening notes of the overture came on screen, receiving applause from the campers and counselors alike.

Everyone sang along to their favorite songs and now, it was intermission.

"I am loving this so far!" Rachel said, taking a bite of popcorn.

"Agreed. I'm gonna run to the cabin to grab a sweatshirt. Can I get anyone anything?" Lily asked.

"My fuzzy blanket on my bed, please" Savanna said.

Lily nodded and headed to the SIX cabin. Once she was gone, Marshall turned to the others.

"So, Lily's birthday is coming up - it's actually two days before we open. I think we should get permission from Ruby and see if we can get a van and go into town to take her shopping" Marshall said.

Everyone nodded in agreement and fell silent as Lily approached, wearing a Hogwarts sweatshirt in the Gryffindor colors and carried Savanna's blanket in her arms.

"Just in time - act 2 is about to start" Phoebe whispered as Lily returned to her seat after giving Savanna her blanket.

"Nice sweatshirt, by the way. I'm a Slytherin, as in I'm gonna Slyther into your pants" Barney whispered.

"Shut up" Chandler whispered, throwing a piece of popcorn at Barney's head.

The movie was now over and Ian set up six microphones, along with two on the ground.

"Everyone form two lines and think about your questions while I see if our special guests arrived" Ian said.

"Who do you think the guests are? I hope one of them is Meryl Streep" Marshall said.

"Yeah I'd like to Meryl her Sheets" Barney said.

"Is everything out of your mouth related to sex?" Rachel asked, rolling her eyes.

"Sometimes - no wait - all the time" Barney said.

"You're gross" Savanna said.

"You're just now realizing that?" Chandler asked.

Ian came onto the stage and went to the mic, "our surprise guests are here. Here are - Meryl Streep as Dee Dee Allan, Ariana DeBose as Alyssa, Nicole Kidman as Angie, Jo Ellen Pellman as Emma, Kevin Chamberlin as Sheldon and Andrew Rannells as Trent Oliver."

The campers exploded into screams and applause as Meryl, Ariana, Nicole, Jo Ellen, Kevin and Andrew came onto the stage of The Performance Space and sat on six chairs, smiling and waving to the campers.

"That was quite a warm welcome" Kevin said, smiling.

"I LOVE YOU MERYL!" Someone called.

"I love you, too" Meryl said, a kind smile on her face.

The six stars talked about their careers a bit before opening it up to the campers for a question and answer session.

Joey smiled at Ariana as he stepped up to the mic.

"How ya doin'?" Joey asked her.

"I'm fine. How are you?" Ariana asked in a kind voice.

Joey's mouth opened and closed like a fish gasping for air.

"I think she broke him" Rachel whispered.

"Ya think?" Chandler asked sarcastically.

Monica moved Joey away from the mic and stepped up to it, "this question is for Jo Ellen. I'm playing Emma in our production of The Prom. Do you have any advice for me?"

"Just be yourself and have fun. I know you'll do great" Jo Ellen said kindly to Monica.

Monica squealed and headed back to her seat.

Once all the questions had been answered, the six stars got pictures with some of the campers. Everyone who was in The Prom got a group picture with the actors portraying them in the musical.

"Hey Ariana, is Lin-Manuel Miranda as nice as he seems?" Lily asked.

"He's a sweetheart" Ariana said.

"By the way, I loved Wish - I think I've watched it at least seventeen times on Disney+" Lily said.

Ariana smiled, "I'm so happy to hear that. Thank you"

"Miranda Manuel-Lin say hi for me?" Lily said, which made Ariana giggle, "I mean - can you say hi to Lin-Manuel Miranda for me?"

"Of course" Ariana said as she followed her five co-stars out of the camp.

That night, Lily could barely get any sleep - she had met some of her favorite people and they were all super nice and down to earth. She had expected them to be horrible or rude, but they were just the opposite.

Lily turned over on her side, facing Robin, "how can you sleep after we met some of the most famous people on the planet?"

"I just can. We have rehearsals tomorrow, so let's get some sleep, please" Robin muttered, turning on her side facing away from Lily.

Lily sighed and got into a comfortable position, eventually drifting off to sleep.
