Chapter 53. Another round of training, recreating builds, the path you must forge yourself
The next day at the Gunpla Training Center, everyone was packing up to get ready to leave and head back home, with Yushai and his friends they waited for Ral as his car comes to pick them up, as he arrives the group turns to see the rest of the players who are all in the tournament that they will be facing off against.
Then everyone left the training center, Houki and the others noticed how silent Ichika is as he tries to hide how devastated he is after being destroyed by his opponent along with the words he said to him which hurt him emotionally.
Houki: Ichika…
Charlotte: …
Cecilia: I can' believe how powerful they are.
Laura: all of them truly felt world level just like the top I.S pilots or perhaps something more.
Houki: but what about Ichika? How are we going to help him…
Tatenashi: this is a really bad situation for him…
Kanzashi: … how can we help him. Those players are all incredibly strong…
The group goes silent now understanding how different Gunpla battles are to I.S battles as there seems to be a far wider gap between the two along with such emotions that are shown through the fighters this made the girls question what are they trying to prove what are they even fighting for, why do they even pilot the I.S it truly leaves more questioning then answers.
(Scene change)
(Persona 3 – when the moon is out)
Upon returning home, Yushai is seen in his room thinking about what to use for upgrading his Gunpla now that he saw how strong all of the opponents are at the camp.
Yushai: all of them were completely incredible, I need to up my own game and have wing evolve to the next level… I think I have the right build for him.
As Yushai begins the plan to upgrade his Gunpla, Izuku is seen in GBN taking on many quests so he can be able to master the awakening system after seeing Bakugo again and learning he can use it to and possibly some others as well.
Izuku: … I didn't think I see Bakugo again after so long, not to mention being one of the favorites that could win the whole world tournament, not only that but he can use awakening as well… I have to master awakening to if I want to fight him again.
?: you desire to become stronger do you?
Izuku: huh?
Izuku's Gunpla turns towards the direction of where the voice came from who is the opponent he fought at the finals, the Musha Gundam.
?: you carry an incredible fire in you young warrior… I wish to help you harness that fire and see what you will become at the end of the path you along with your team mates on.
Izuku: ?
At Krystina's house she too thinks about what to do to make her Gunpla stronger, now that there's someone who is targeting her for things she doesn't fully understand but she knows now she must be ready for him.
Krystina: … I think it's time I added parts to Aerial so it can become much stronger so I can face that person I ran into at the camp along with learning about what he is talking about.
As Krystina begins working on her Gunpla, Yuzu and the other girls talk in secret in Krystina's mind as they try to figure out who the boy is and how did he know about the four dimensions, about Ray, Zarc and Leo.
Selena: okay I have a lots of questions now, how did that guy knows so much about us and about the dimensions?
Yuzu: I don't know, maybe he was there when everyone was fighting against Zarc and when…
Rin: hold on we don't know that yet, after all there's no way he should know about Ray or Zarc including Leo and the original dimension.
Ruri: yeah… he shouldn't have known about us or anything else, not only that but he tried to get rid of us instead of helping us.
Yuzu: the Lancers are also here in this dimension but I didn't see Reji only Shun, Sora and Shugo along with that guy… I wonder if everyone else is okay…
The rest of the girls agreed as they too worry if everyone they know survived the destruction of their homes from that battle all they can do is hope.
(Scene change)
At the I.S Academy Ichika is seen in his dorm and hasn't come out or joined the class activities as he is deeply depressed by what happened at the training camp and getting completely destroyed by one of players that are in the tournament who hates him and calling him a disgusting harem king who doesn't care about the world anymore and even calling him a toy for I.S pilots to play with.
Ichika: … I didn't abandon anyone… I didn't… I… I just…
As Ichika is now getting more depressed he hears a knock at the door, then it opens up as Chifuyu is seen entering the room and wanting to talk to her brother.
Chifuyu: Ichika.
Ichika: Chifuyu… is the world really going bad?
Chifuyu: …
Ichika: the players are all saying that everything has gotten worse since the I.S came to be… please tell me Chifuyu.
Chifuyu: … it's-
?: it's true all of it.
The two turned around and they both see Gato at the entrance looking at Ichika with cold eyes.
Gato: what you saw at the camp were some individuals who was affected by the I.S that was created by Tabane, you have just seen thee other side of the coin, the side in which you were protected from for a very long time or … perhaps you did experience it and choose to bury it into your deep subconscious so you wouldn't go through that again.
Ichika: grrr… it's just a game!
Gato: is it? You felt there emotions just like in the I.S battles however in Gunpla battles they are far more intense and you have just experienced it along with the situation you are in.
Ichika: …
Gato: follow me to a secret location there we will get you started on training once again.
Ichika: why… why are you still having me train so hard!?
Gato: because, nothing Chifuyu or your friends will be able to get through that thick skull of yours… or your just pretending so you won't hurt there feelings.
Ichika: !?
Chifuyu: ?
Once Gato was gone and heads to a secret location Ichika followed after him quickly, Chifuyu was confused by what is going on but decided to follow as well as they do Houki notice this and goes as well to find out where they are going.
(Scene change)
At a warehouse Gato waits for Ichika to come as the sunsets, then arrives and sees a battle simulator in the warehouse which confuses him, Gato then gives Ichika his Gunpla that he thought he left back at the camp and is fully repaired.
Ichika: why do you have it?
Gato: let us begin…
(Asura's Wrath – Orphan Wolf)
The simulator turns on and the Gunpla's come to life, then without warning Gato's Gunpla attacks Ichika who didn't react in time as his Gunpla got destroyed, they began fighting again but he was defeated again by Gato.
Ichika: why are you doing this what's the point of this!?
Gato: isn't it obvious? To break through that naivete of yours!
Ichika: grrr!
Gato: not only that. But your sister made the foolish decision of shielding you from hard burden that was about to happen to you!
Ichika: don't you dare talk about my sister!
Gato: I have the right to because I defeated her while you and the others were at camp!
Ichika: !? You what?
Then Chifuyu arrived at the warehouse and so did Houki who followed in secret so she can know what sort of training Gato has for Ichika, then they both heard Gato when he said he defeated Chifuyu in a Gunpla battle.
Ichika: you defeated her in your own game so it doesn't mean anything if you didn't fight with I.S's!
Gato: your rightit does not count however she caught on to how to fight in Gunpla battle but at the same time she realized how different it was and what it is like to lose plus she learned that the Gunpla we battlers build are an extentions of ourselves a reflection of who we are as people.
Ichika: a reflection of who we are?
Ichika looks at his damaged Gunpla in the simulator then he actually saw it in front of him fully looking at him as if it's asking him is he going to continue to fight to become stronger, this confused him more every minute this is not like his I.S at all. It's almost like he is talking with himself.
Ichika: i… i… I want to become stronger…
Gato: say it louder. With your very heart and soul!
Ichika: I want to become stronger!
The Gunpla responded to its battler and got back up to continue fighting even though it was badly damaged, the two continue to fight against each other through the night as for Chifuyu she didn't say anything but felt that this is something that her brother needs deeply, Houki don't know what to think about this but she never saw how much Ichika wanted to become stronger.
Throughout the world everyone was working on their Gunpla's and training for the big tournament that will happen soon and all of them desire to become champions, battle rivals and let there passion burn as the tournament approaches.
Then everything fades to black.

To Gojira: thank you, yeah Reji would have to handle Xeal for what he did but he also felt it was necessary, as for who was the team that defeated Ichika and his friends they are individuals that suffered because of the I.S, tells him that the problem is much worse than he realizes.
To nexusknight2: yup they are right about Ichika and this Chapter forces him to confront his problem, as for Izuku he is definitely training in order to control the awakening system better and so is everyone else as well as they to are training and upgrading their Gunpla's.
