The Rebel's Heart stood close to the city outskirts. "There it is." Himari said. "Cache City."
"Oh man, it's even bigger up close." Nokia murmured. "And we're supposed to take over the whole thing?"
"Hudiemon is going to hijack their security." Kouta said. "Then we can take them by storm."
"If we can win this, we'll have the whole city for our Resistance." UlforceVeedramon said.
"But how long can we hold it?" Yuugo asked. "Once we take it, the Next Order will come for us here. We'll be forced into a siege."
"Hudiemon thinks that the security systems and defense turrets will keep us safe." Rikka said.
Takuto, Keisuke and Hudiemon were in the underground waterway beneath the city. "Is everyone ready?" Hudiemon asked.
Justimon nodded. "Everyone has assembled."
"Kouta and Himari should have brought the others close enough to the city by now." Takuto said.
"Alright, let's go over the plan again." Hudiemon said. "Once I hack into security, Justimon will send up a signal for the others to begin their attack. Justimon's team will attack the northern half of the city, Shakkoumon's team will take the south. While the enemy is occupied, Takuto, Keisuke and I will go with Luche back to the central tower."
"Uh, why Luche?" Keisuke asked.
The girl pouted. "What do you mean "why Luche"?!"
"Her unique programing can help me access the mainframe faster." Hudiemon replied.
"So, we just need to break into the tower again, right?" Nova asked.
"It won't be easy. This time we're going all the way to the top. And I doubt they'll fall for that lure out trick we used before twice."
"So what do we do?" Keisuke asked.
"All we can do is force our way in. What intrigues me though is what you told me about Brother Sorrow and Hosaka abandoning the city. It's like they don't care what we do with it."
"Do you think we might be playing into their hands?" Justimon asked.
"I don't know. Sadly, we don't have a choice. If we fail to take this place, we could lose all of Rebel's Heart and Hudie's Dream."
"Then I say we do what we gotta do." Takuto replied. "Those guys have nowhere to go. We're their only hope."
"Takuto's right." Keisuke nodded. "We have no time to worry about what the Next Order is up to. Right now, we gotta act. Besides it's kind of late to start second guessing the plan, don't you think?"
Hudiemon smiled. "Still as easygoing as ever I see. Still, you're right. Part of why the Resistance never made much impact is because we hesitated to act. That changes now. Is everyone ready?" The team nodded. "Good. Let's move out."
Within the city a lone Tankmon was patrolling the alleyway grumbling to himself. "Ugh, day after day it's just dull patrol after dull patrol. I wish something exciting would happen in this dumb city. I don't care what it is." Hudiemon picked away the manhole cover behind him and leapt out. "What the hell?!"
"Flying Kick!" Hudiemon jumped back then charged into him.
"GAAAAAH!" Tankmon was flung to a wall and slumped against it out cold.
The others started climbing out. "Ahh fresh air." A Lillymon breathed. "I'm looking forward to having a whole city to ourselves and not being confined to that tight underground space."
Takuto looked at the unconscious Tankmon against the dented wall. "Wow...was that your work Hudiemon?"
"Nothing special. Went down in one hit."
Keisuke stared uncomfortably. "That's Erika for you."
"Alright, Justimon, send up the signal." Justimon nodded and gathered blue energy in his larger hand before shooting it straight up.
From outside the city Nokia and the others heard a sound and looked up. A large blue light flew up and away before exploding. "I think that was our signal." Arata replied.
"Alright. Let's do this." Yuugo said. "Nokia, give the command."
The girl flinched. "Wait, me?"
Yuugo grinned. "Is there another Nokia here? Darcmon said she wanted you to lead Rebel's Heart. That you were the one meant to."
Nokia steeled her nerves. "...Alright! I'll do it!" She faced the city and pointed forward. "Rebels ATTAAAAAAACK!" Everyone followed her as she charged.
Yuuko couldn't even remember how long she and Takumi were falling or what the impact felt like. For all she could tell they fell off the cliff then everything went black. "Oh..." she slowly opened her eyes. The ground around was made of something like sand or ash. Even still she wasn't as hurt as she thought she would be. "Where...?""
She registered her surroundings. Then she noticed she was lying on something that didn't feel like the ground. She tilted her head and saw Takumi's chest. Looking up she saw his sleeping face.
"AAAAH!" Yuuko backed away for him and landed on her back. "T-Takumi?!" Her face burned red as she tried to regain her composer. She stared at his sleeping face for a bit gathering awkward thoughts that she shook her head to get rid of before kneeling in front of him. He appeared to be unconscious. She at least hoped he was during her reaction. "Takumi, wake up!" The boy showed no signs of stirring. "Takumi!" She shook his shoulder.
"Agh...ah..." When she heard him groan, she thought he was about to come to his senses but then he went still again.
"Takumi?" Yuuko looked at his face. His expression looked painful. "Is he hurt?" She looked at her hands. "But...I seem to be alright." She looked up. She could barely see light above her. "…Somehow. Wait..." Yuuko started to remember their fall. As they fell in Takumi was still holding her wrist. Suddenly he pulled Yuuko in and wrapped his arms around her while turning his back towards the ground. "No…Did Takumi try to break my fall with his own body?!" She started shaking him again. "Takumi, can you hear me?!"
Takumi groaned in pain again and slowly opened his eyes. His vision was a blur but he soon saw Yuuko's concerned expression. "…Yuu…ko…?"
"Takumi…did you…?"
"Are you…hurt…?" Yuuko shook her head. Takumi faintly smiled. "…Good." His eyes slowly closed again.
"Wha- How is this good?! Takumi, you fool!" Takumi was motionless again. She quickly checked his pulse. It was still there, so he must have just passed out. "Oh, Takumi…" Yuuko looked up at the cliff walls. "There's no way I can climb up that." She looked above them. "I don't see Samudramon and the others. They must still be fighting up there. Maybe I should just wait for them to finish. …No, between Examon and that mysterious Digimon just now, who knows how long that could take. Takumi needs help." Yuuko looked in front of her. "At least there's a way ahead, but there's no telling where this will lead. Though it is in the direction the others went…" She pondered her options for a bit before sighing. "It can't be helped. Forgive me Takumi, this might hurt." She sat Takumi up and put an arm over her shoulders before standing up supporting him. The teenage detective grunted in pain a little from the movement. Yuuko slowly started walking forward. "You were always supporting me and everyone else. It's time someone supported you a little."
"We're under attack!"
"Where did they all come from?!"
"Someone, call for backup!"
"Why aren't the city's defenses doing anything about this?!"
Cache City was absolute chaos. Fighting flooded into the streets crashing down like a tidal wave. Omegamon and Noir took down two GoldGuardromon. Diaboromon and File defeated a Raptordramon and Fangmon with ease. Yukimura and Rikka destroyed two MetalTyranomon. "Ha! This is too easy!" Arata laughed.
"Don't let your guard down." Mameo said. "They're just getting started."
More Digimon starred to pour in. "So are we." Nokia said.
Just as they closed in a red beam came down and blasted some of the swarm. Then a Plesiomon a Renamon and a Solarmon all charged in. Shakkoumon approached the Rebels as his unit engaged. "GREETINGS."
"Oh, hey, Shakkounon." Himari waved. "Good timing."
"Hey, aren't you Chitose's Digimon?" Nokia asked. "Good to see you!"
"IT HAS BEEN A WHILE NOKIA SHIRAMINE."
"So you're from Hudie's Dream? What's the situation?" Mameo asked.
"AS WE SPEAK HUDIEMON IS GOING TO INVADE THE CENTRAL TOWER WITH KEISUKE AND TAKUTO. WE NEED ONLY DRIVE OUT ANY NEXT ORDER FORCES UNTIL THEY FINISH HACKING THE MAINFRAME."
"Sounds good to me." Nokia grinned. "Let's make some noise!"
"Nobody does that better than our loudmouth." Arata muttered.
"Yeah, let's get em!" Himari grinned. "We'll show these Next Order jerks what we're made of!"
"I like your attitude girl!" Nokia grinned.
Arata cringed. "Oh my god, there are two of them." The others laughed.
Yuuko was still carrying Takumi the best she could. Though it felt more like she was dragging him at this point. They had been going for the last few minutes. She still saw no end to this chasm pathway but wasn't about to give up. She was the only one who could help Takumi. "Just...keep going. Just have to...keep going..." She kept her gaze in front of her. If something was coming their way, she had to be aware of it. After all, without their Digimon they would be defenseless if they were attacked. She looked at Takumi's face. "Just hang in there Takumi. I'm going to find us help. It's going to be alright, trust me."
"Hey you!" Yuuko gasped and looked up. She cursed her carelessness. That one brief moment of looking away was somehow enough for four Ogremon to approach her. "What are you doing here in our turf?!"
"Urk!" Yuuko shuddered but keep her grip on Takumi firm. "I-We're just passing through. We fell down here and are just trying to find a way out."
One of the Ogremon batted his club. "Oh yeah? Well too bad! Once ya fall down here nobody leaves this place without the boss's permission!"
Another one tilted his head. "Wait a minute...ain't these two human?"
"Hey...I think you're right! The Next Order said they were on the hunt for these things! What should we do with them?"
"I say we take em to the boss! Let her decide!"
"Sounds like a plan!" A Ogremon replied before whistling.
Yuuko heard sounds behind and above her. When she looked, she learned that there were some holes up on the walls of the gorge. From them a bunch of Goblimon came running out. Yuuko slowly stepped back as they approached. "No..."
"Try not to leave any marks boys! I'm sure the boss'll want them in good condition!"
Yuuko looked back at the Ogremon. "Who is your boss?"
"You'll find out when you see her!" Yuuko heard laughter and looked back to see a Goblimon jump at her with his club in hand.
Samudramon grunted as he was flung back. He panted as the mysterious Digimon stood in front of him. Rapidmon flew in between them facing it, before BlackWarGreymon and Dorugoramon landed at Rapidmon's sides. Craniamon and Dynasmon landed to the left and right of the enemy. "Ugh, we don't have time for this!" Samudramon growled as he pushed himself back up with his sword. "We have to go help Takumi and Yuuko!"
"Please tell me you aren't thinking of ducking out of the party so soon." the black Digimon laughed. "I'm having too much fun for this to end now!"
"We will not allow you rebels to run amok and interfere with the First Order!" Dynasmon said. "Prepare to meet your doom!"
"These guys just won't let us go." Dorugoramon snarled.
"And it's not like we can just leave Darcmon here!" Rapidmon added. A flash of red brought everyone's attention above them again. Zhuqiamon shot fire at Examon who blocked it with his lance then trusted at her.
Zhuqiamon evaded then swung her wings. "Sonic Zephyr!" A shockwave sent Examon crashing into the forest.
"Examon!" Dynasmon looked at the gigantic Royal Knight flat on his back. "So, this is the power of a Sovereign…"
The black Digimon drew a sword and held it up. Multiple copies of his weapon appeared above him. "Pernicious Waltz!" He sent those blades slashing into Zhuqiamon.
"Darcmon!" Rapidmon watched the giant bird squeal in pain.
"Phoenix Fire!" Zhuqiamon spewed fired from her mouth that engulfed the mysterious foe and the knights.
"She got them!" BlackWarGreymon said.
"Rapidmon…Samudramon…BlackWarGreymon…Dorugoramon…" They all looked up at Zhuqiamon. "Go…help Takumi and Yuuko…"
"What?" Samudramon asked. "What about you?"
"I will hold them here…for as long as I can…"
Rapidmon objected. "We won't just leave you-
"Takumi and Yuuko are in far more danger than I am! Now get out of here before I lose control over myself!"
The sight of Zhuqiamon's eyes glowing red was enough to startle them. Rapidmon Armor growled but relented. "…Understood. Stay safe Darcmon, we'll meet you with the others." He flew into the gorge below. Samudramon jumped down after him. BlackWarGreymon and Dorugoramon chased but looked at Zhuqiamon one last time before going after them. Shortly after Crianiamon roared and held up his shield dispelling the flames around him, the black Digimon and Dynasmon. At the same time Examon got back up. Zhuqiamon roared as flames burned around her.
Takuto, Keisuke, Luche, and Hudiemon rushed into the tower entrance. "Okay, so what we're looking for is on the top floor?" Luche asked.
Hudiemon nodded. "That's right. That computer should have everything I need. The encryption was too tough for me to hack in from a distance, even with the backdoor program, but I should be able to get in if I use it directly."
"Alrighty then, let's get going." Takuto said cracking his knuckles. "Don't want to keep the others waiting too long."
Keisuke's eyes went towards the doorway at the sound of a loud bang. "Oh, judging by the amount of noise coming from outside, I think they're keeping themselves entertained."
"Do your best Omegamon!"
"Transcendent Sword!" Nokia's Digimon took down a Tankamon, a Gizamon and a Giromon down with the fiery shockwave of his sword swing.
"Let's rock Diaboromon!"
"Catastrophe Cannon!" Arata's Digimon let lose a barrage of fireballs that wiped out a Heavy Leomon and a Hookmon.
"We can do this HiAndromon!"
"Atomic Ray!" HiAndromon destroyed a Kumbhiramon.
"Give it all you got Rikka!"
"Fire Tornado!" Himari's Digimon attacked a Mechanorimon.
"Show them your power Yukimura!"
"Lightning Joust!" Kouta's partner pierced through a Drimogimon and a Raremon at the same time.
"Hit em hard File!"
"Smile Bomber!" Mameo's Digimon blew up a Seadramon.
"Go Noir!"
"Transcendent Cannon!" Shoma's partner vaporized a Soulmon and two Tobiumon.
"T-these guys are too strong!" A Vegiemon panicked.
"Let's get out of here!" a Sukamon yelled before the remainder retreated.
"Alright, onto the next area!" Nokia said. "The city will be ours in no time!"
Yuuko groaned as she once again awoke from getting knocked out. This time her head ached from the Goblimon striking her. There was also this weird…sensation she felt upon stirring. She couldn't feel the ground. Her limbs were forced upward. Her neck felt sore as her head was hanging from it. More alarmingly she couldn't move her limbs. She grunted and then noticed something was in her mouth. Her eyes slowly opened, and she soon got answers on her situation. She was off the ground and moving. She could taste the rag tied around her head and stuck between her teeth. What's more looking up she saw a wooden pole. Her wrists and forearms were tied to it and her ankles and shins were coiled in rope holding them to the other end of the stick forcing her to bend her elbows and knees as she dangled from it in an awkward position. One of the Ogremon she ran into was carrying one end of the pole and another was carrying the other as they carried her through the gorge. She looked around. The Goblimon were happily following them. To her left she spotted the other two Ogremon carrying a pole that Takumi was tied to in the same manner as her. He was also gagged with a cloth but was still unconscious.
Yuuko looked up at the tight knots binding her limbs. She tried to pull them free, but her struggle wasn't even noticed by her abductors. And she couldn't reach the knots with her fingers and thanks to the gag she couldn't pull them out with her teeth either. They weren't just tied to her limbs but to the wooden stick itself so she couldn't rub the rope against it to try to saw it apart. She grunted as she tried brute force again as it was really her only option at this point but still couldn't get lose. She felt pretty miserable. She couldn't even protect Takumi. She led them right into this situation. And now she was bound and gagged like some damsel in distress stuck to a pole like a spit roast. It was rather embarrassing being caried this way.
"Oh, boss! We were just on our way to you!"
Yuuko remembered what the Ogremon said about taking them to their leader. She tilted her head forward. And while her positioning made her look upside down, she could still see who was in front of them. A tall female Digimon with...indecent clothing. It was like yellow and black striped undergarments that showed most of her body off. She also had a cape and gold gauntlets boots and a helmet with horns and green hair. She wielded a giant spiked club that she had over her shoulder. "I was wondering why you fools were taking so long to report back. Now I see why. You caught some interesting prey."
"Yup!" The Ogremon saluted. "Found them trespassing here. We think they're humans."
One of the Ogermon carrying Takumi looked at Yuuko. "Oh hey. The one with black hair is awake."
"This other one's still out like a log though. Been snoozing since we found em."
The leader stepped towards Yuuko. "Humans you say? How very interesting." Yuuko watched as the Digimon circled around her like a panther stalking its victim. "They don't look very strong though. I fail to see why the Next Order is making a fuss over them." She put a hand on Yuuko's head and forced her to look at her. "I do love that lovely look. I can see the fear in your eyes. It's alright, you should be afraid. I, Kinkakumon am feared on a regular basses. I rule this area through dominance. My power here is absolute. I own everything in this area...and now that includes you."
"So boss, what should we do with them?" one of the Ogremon asked. "If the Next Order is looking for these humans, I bet they'll give us a big reward for these kids!"
"Hmm...tempting. Then again what the Next Order doesn't know won't hurt them. We could take these two back to our lair for me to keep as my trophies. Such exotic prey doesn't come by very often after all. And if I do ever tire of them, I can use them as sandbags for my workout." She brushed her hand against Yuuko's cheek. "Hmmm decisions, decisions..." Yuuko didn't like the sound of any of those ideas. But she wondered what she meant by trophies. She and Takumi weren't made of bronze, silver or gold. Little did she know this madwoman had more…devious ideas for her trophies.
Just then a pair of heeled shoes stepped into the sand in front of the Ogremon. "Stop right there!" Kinkakumon looked at two humanoid Digimon. They looked like two little girls wearing white long sleeved short dresses. One of them had an animal hood that was a light blue, darker blue hair, silver heels, white stockings and held dual pistols. The smaller one had a pink animal hood and white boots while wielding a golden trident.
"And just who do you two think you are?"
The blue one had her hands on her hips. "We are agents of the Sleuth's Will Resistance team! And we're here to stop your bullying!"
Kinkakumon rolled her eyes. "Yeah right, like a couple of kids would be in the Resistance. I'm guessing you haven't heard, Sleuth's Will was eliminated by the Next Order. Now run along kids, the adults have work to do."
"Um...sis?" The pink one muttered. "I don't think she's listening. What should we do? I don't want those two with them to get hurt."
The blue one patted her on the head. "Don't worry Blanc, they won't." She then glared at Kinkakumon. "You hear that you hag?! My little sis here says better put them down if you know what's good for you!"
"Um! Actually, Ciel, I-
The word "hag" struck a nerve and Kinkakumon let Yuuko's face go and glared at the two. "Seems like you brats need to be taught some manners. Goblimon, but these twerps in their place!"
The Gablimon laughed as they surrounded the two girls and held up their clubs. Yuuko had no idea what these two were planning. Neither of them looked that strong and they were vastly outnumbered. The blue one sighed. "I tell ya sis, they always want it the hard way." The Goblimon charged at the two. The first one swung at the blue girl but she twirled aside and kicked him. The one named Ciel dodged club swing after swing gracefully and effectively kicking them as they missed.
"Protect Wave!" The one named Blanc held up her trident and a golden barrier protected her from the clubs of her attackers.
Ciel noticed her sister had her shield up and grinned. "Silent Bullet!" She started firing at the Goblimon destroying them with each shot. She jumped to the side as she fired then leapt into the air spinning upside down shooting wildly. Blanc was protected but all the Goblimon were defeated.
Kinkakumon blinked. "Hmm. Those two are tougher than I thought. Ogremon!"
"You got it boss!" The four Digimon dropped Yuuko and Takumi. Yuuko yelped in surprise as she hit the ground. She looked at them as they approached the sisters. Kinkakumon had her back turned as well. If she could just free herself, she'd have the perfect opportunity to grab Takumi and escape. She once again tried struggling to get her arms and legs free.
"Pummel Whack!" Two Ogermon punched forward sending purple waves that broke Blanc's barrier. One of them ran up and started swinging his club. Blanc blocked each hit with her trident, but not without taking some knockback making her stumble backwards. One more hit knocked her down and Ogremon held up his club to hit her with but then Ciel ran up and kicked him so hard he flew. She then ducked under the swing of another and swept her foot into its legs knocking it down. The remaining two charged at her.
Ciel flipped backwards into the air as one tried to grab her and jumped back as the other swung his club down towards her and aimed her firearms. "Fury Fire!" Two electrified bullets hit one of them and blew it apart. Ciel noticed the other one charging towards her and was about to jump back but felt a grip on her ankle. She looked down and saw the Ogremon she tripped holding her foot grinning. His friend was soon upon her with his club in both hands ready to strike.
"Devine Peirce!" A golden beam hit him first knocking him down. Blanc was nearby back on her feet holding her trident. "Ah! Sorry Ciel, I didn't mean to steal your thunder!"
Ciel just laughed. "Ha, ha, ha! Don't worry Blanc, it's all good!" She still smiled even when kicking the Ogermon holding her leg down with her other foot knocking him out.
Kinkamumon growled as she approached. "Well…I suppose if you want something done right you have to do it yourself."
"Alright, now for the boss! Let's do this Blanc" Ciel grinned. She waved to Yuuko. "Hold on just a bit longer miss; we'll rescue you soon!"
"Don't get cocky!" Kinkamon rushed towards Ciel and swung her club down. Ciel jumped back to dodged it then leapt forward with a charging kick, but Kinkamon caught her foot and slammed her into the ground repeatedly before swinging her overhead one more time hard.
Ciel groaned on her back then gasped to see the club come down and barley rolled away in time. She sprung back to her feet. "Fury Fire!" She shot at Kinkakumon.
"Pathetic!" Kinkakumon blocked the shots with her club then rushed up to Ciel. "Raikou Kishú!" She kicked Ciel in the gut hard. Her boot emanated electricity as she struck. Ciel gasped as she was shocked and had the wind knocked out of her at the same time.
"Sis!" Blanc ran in front of Ciel. As Kinkakumon approached she swung her trident at the Digimon, but she deflected the attack with ease. Blanc nearly lost her balance but then regained her footing and went for a thrust.
"Dokidokidokyún!" Kinkakumon roared as she let lose an electric discharge zapping Blanc. Now both Sistermon were paralyzed. "Kiabakusou!" Kinkakumon then swung her club. The two Sistermon blocked with their weapons but screamed as they were still flung back.
"Owie, owie, owie!" Blanc muttered as they sat up.
"Wow. This one's actually pretty strong." Ciel muttered as she sprung up to her feet. "Hey, Blanc, I think we'll need to get serious here."
"You mean…wait, what if we end up hurting the humans?"
"Nah. It's just one target, so it should be fine. Hey!" Ciel called out to Yuuko. "Can you hear me over there?! We're about to cut lose, so stay on the ground so you don't get hit!"
Yuuko sighed into her gag, not getting anywhere with untying herself from the long stick. "I don't really have a choice here…"
"Okay, Blanc here we go!"
"Got it Ciel! We'll show her our true power!" The two of them posed as they glowed blue and white. "With our love and justice combined…!"
"The two of us will-
Kinkakumon roared and rammed her club into both of them launching them like baseballs into the sky. The Sistermon screamed as they came crashing back down. "Nitwits. You both left yourselves wide open."
Ciel spat out sand after lifting her face from the floor. "Hey! No fair! You're not supposed to interrupt our transformation like that!"
Yuuko sighed to herself. "…Well, they did leave themselves wide open for an attack, do they think this is a game? Still…why do those two seem familiar?"
Two Ogremon that were not destroyed but just knocked down came up and grabbed the two Sistermon by the arms and lifted them up off the floor. The two shrieked as they kicked and flailed while dangling from their wrists. Kinkakumon came over with her club. "Now to finish this."
"Um, sure boss." one of the Ogremon gulped. "Just be careful not to hit us by accident, yeah?"
"Oh, don't be a baby, just hold them study." Kinkakumon licked her lips as she pointed her weapon at the struggling Sistermon. Yuuko hastily pulled harder at the rope around her arms and legs desperate to help them. Kinkakumon reeled back. "Good night kids." Just when she was about to swing, she heard a slashing sound and the Ogremon dropped the Sistermon before vanishing. "What?!"
"Oof!" Blanc grunted as she and her sister landed on their backsides. She looked behind her. Where the Ogremon once were, a tall white Digimon with a red cape and blades on his hands stood. "Jesmon!"
"Ciel, Blanc, are you two alright?"
Yuuko's eyes widened. She knew this Digimon. Ciel laughed. "Swooped in just in time there, big guy! That's Master Gankoomon's star pupil for you!"
Kinkakumon gasped and stepped back. "J-Jesmon! Impossible! I hard all of Sleuth's Will was annihilated by the Next Order!"
"Almost. But we managed to survive. Now stand down or die."
Kinkakumon gritted her teeth and shakily held up her weapon. "D-don't think you can boss me around on my turf just because you're a Royal Knight! I'll show you!" She roared and ran at him. "Kiabakusou!"
"Hmph." As his opponent swung, Jesmon swiped with his blade and the club shattered like glass. "Is that all? You're the leader of this place because you are a big fish in a small pond. If you left this cavern to join the fight above, you wouldn't last long."
Kinkakumon looked at her broken weapon in shock. "Im-impossible…! Ah!" Jesmon's blade was at her throat.
"Now leave. Final warning."
Kinkakumon backed up. "You…!" She ran away as fast as she could. "I WON'T FORGET THIS!"
Jesmon sighed. "To think things like this are happening even during the war."
Ciel was already kneeling in front of Yuuko untying her gag. "You alright miss?"
Yuuko took a breath of fresh air. "Thank you."
"Hold on, we'll get you out of this." Ciel started working on the ropes. "Yikes, these knots are tight. They didn't want you going nowhere."
Jesmon recognized Yuuko's voice and looked at her. "Wait, isn't that-
"Now I remember." Yuuko looked at the Sistermon then Jesmon. "Those two were with you and Gankoomon when you tried to attack that tower."
"Hey, Blanc, can you untie the boy with her?" Ciel asked.
"Okay!" Blanc went over to Takumi. "Uh, oh. He's out cold."
Jesmon looked at him and did a take. "Takumi?!" He hurried over. "Is he alright?!"
"Oh, you know him Jesmon?" Ciel asked.
"Yes, when I went to the human world with master Gankoomon I met a human who helped me come to the epiphany that made me a Royal Knight! He's the human partner of Rapidmon and his team!"
"So, this is Rapidmon's partner!" Ciel said. "Nice to finally meet him!"
"Blanc, is he hurt?"
Yuuko's arms were finally free from the pole and Ciel was working on untying her legs. She rubbed her sore wrists while looking at her friend. "When we fell down here, he tried to cushion my fall with his body. I was trying to get him somewhere safe when we were attacked."
"Over here!" Everyone looked up to see Rapidmon Armor, BlakcWarGreymon, Dorugoramon and Samudramon hurry over. "Wait, is that Jesmon?!"
"Rapidmon! Dorugoramon! BlackWarGreymon!" Jesmon gasped. "You're back!"
"Thank heavens!" Dorugoramon said. "When we returned to this world, we heard Sleuth's Will went missing!"
"Shortly after you left our base was attacked." Jesmon replied. "We were forced to flee and were adrift for a while until we ran into an agent of Zaxon's Pride. We've been with them at their base ever since."
"But what are you three doing here?" Dorugoramon asked.
"We received word that Dynasmon was about to launch an attack on a Resistance team and were on our way over to help." Blanc replied.
Samudramon brought his attention to his partner. "Are you alright Yuuko?"
Now completely untied Yuuko stood up. "I'm fine. But Takumi…"
Blanc finished untying Takumi as everyone looked at him. "Takumi!" Rapidmon kneeled in front of him. "Is he okay?!"
"I'm sorry…he was trying to protect me…"
Sistermon Ciel looked at her sister. "Blanc?"
Blanc examined him. "He's hurt pretty bad…But he's breathing."
Yuuko kneeled down and held Takumi's hand. "Let's get him out of here and back to base." Jesmon said. "Everyone, stay close, I'm using a Home Gate." He held up a hand and he, the two Sistermon, Takumi, Yuuko and their Digimon vanished in a flash of blue.
And Sleuth's Will is on the scene! Next week the attack on Cache City concludes. Look forward to it.
