As Cache City started to move through the sky, everyone reassembled at the wartable. "Is everyone prepared?" Mirei asked. "I don't think I need to point out that there's no turning back from here."

"We're prepared…as best as we can be anyway." Keisuke sighed with a shaky breath.

"Nervous?" Takumi asked.

"Hell yeah I'm nervous! This could be the final battle ahead of us! I don't get how you're so confident Takumi!"

"He's been through so much I guess he's started to numb himself to the stress." Kyoko replied. "See Alphamon? Putting those two through as much as you did have it's benefits."

"Indeed."

Takumi smiled at Keisuke. "I guess it's just in your nature to be more stressed than me. Ha, ha. Come to think of it, it was like this before we came to this world together. Remember when we met at school, and you told me you were uncertain if we would make it through this?"

"Yeah. Sparing with you and the others and talking it out helped a lot."

"I'd offer to go another round with you if it would make you feel better, but I don't think we have the time."

Keisuke smiled. "It's fine. Yeah, I'm nervous, but I can pull myself together. I have you guys, Erika and all the support and power you've given me."

"That's the spirit." Fei smirked. "We're countin' on ya."

"We will reach Coud Sanctuary in 15 minutes." Hudiemon said. "So, let's take this moment to finalize our plan." The table projected the entirety of Cloud Sanctuary. A giant floating island with multiple temples. "Cloud City is a series of ancient temples where holy Digimon once lived. There are three larger temples, one belonging to each of the three Celestial Digimon."

"Keisuke, you met them during one of your jobs." Mirei said. "Ophanimon, Seraphimon and Cherubimon."

"Oh yeah…" Keisuke had an awkward expression. "That was a job."

"Wait, did she say Ophanimon?" Nokia asked before looking at one of Ami's Digimon.

"Not Ami's Ophanimon just to be clear." Alphamon said. "This Ophanimon held her title as a Celestial Digimon long before her Salamon obtained that form."

"Unfortunately, all three of them were assassinated around the time this war started." Darcmon said. "I had a feeling the Next Order might have had something to do with it, and now we know why."

"Cloud Sanctuary not only has a wealth of holy resources, but it is a perfect place for gathering an army and watching the Digital World from above." Alphamon said. "So Leopardmon slew the Celestial Digimon and took it for his base of operations."

"Well, I say it's high time he and his cronies were given their eviction notice." Kouta glared.

"Agreed." Mameo nodded. "Now, there's no guarantee that taking down Leopardmon will end the Next Order. If we're to end them, we need to eliminate all of its most powerful figureheads. Then there will be no one left to pick up the pieces."

Three Digimon appeared on the table. "Of all the remaining Digimon we know are still in the Next Order, the ones most capable of leading them are Leoparmdon, Dynasmon, and Boltboutamon." Yuuko said. "They're our top priority."

"Agreed." Yuugo said. "But let's not forget we're not just here to crush the Next Order. We also have to save the Digital World."

"Correct." Gallantmon nodded. "So, to preserve the safety of it we must also dispose of the most powerful weapons they have."

Three new Digimon appeared from the projection. "Those would be Arcadiamon, Examon, and Argomon." Omegamon said.

"Two of the three we just fought." Ami said. "They might still be weak from that tussle, but they also could be more powerful than last time for all we know. We need to be on our guard."

"There's one more thing." Zero said. "Don't forget, the Next order still has the DigiCores of Ebonwumon, Azulongmon, and Baihumon."

"That's right…" Takumi muttered. "Leopardmon needs them for his "Project Nexus"…which we still know so little about…"

"But as long as Darcmon has Zhuqiaomon's DigiCore, then he can't initiate his plan, right?" Shiki pointed out.

"Perhaps…" Mirei replied. "But if possible, I think we should try to take the other three back from them. The less they have the better. Besides, each core on their own can cause trouble."

"Agreed." MirageGougamon Burst Mode said. "I cannot allow my late master's power be selfishly abused."

"Alright." Koh nodded. "So where do you think we can find them and our targets?"

Everyone stared at the map pondering. UlforceVeedramon then pointed to a lower corner. "I believe the Celestial Digimon had a vault here for their most sacred possessions. Seems like a good place to hide something of such importance."

"And Leopardmon and the others?" Himari asked.

"Given Leopardmon's vanity, he probably hid himself within one of the temples of the Celestial Digimon as a makeshift throne room." Kentaurosmon replied.

"That pompous jerkface!" Nokia groaned. "That temple isn't gonna save him from what's coming for him!"

"The others are most likely in the other temples." Gankoomon said. "They are the only structures big enough to hold something like a lab or an army."

"Okay, we got our targets, and we got out most likely locations." Arata said. "Now we just need to settle who's going where."

A red marker appeared at the far end of the Sanctuary. "This is where the city will reach the Sanctuary." Mirei said. "Once we land, we will move out."

"Well before we send everyone out there, we will need to establish guards to protect the city." BeelStarmon said. "We do have civilians here."

"Agreed." Yuuko said. "The Legendary Warriors, and the other members of Zaxon's Pride and Rebels Heart will stay here to protect it."

"We will guard this place and the Digimon in it with our lives." Agunimon replied.

"Sayo and Koh, I want you here as well." Mirei said. "Protecting a city is something you two have experience over the rest of us on."

Sayo sighed. "As much as I'd hate to miss an important confrontation...This is also important. Alright. We'll take care of it."

"Hit those jerks hard you guys." Koh smiled. "For us."

"Once we attack the city, Leopardmon will likely send out his most powerful forces." Ami said. "And I'll bet you Examon, Argomon, and Arcadiamon will be the head of that army."

"I agree." Kyoko said. "Sanada, Shoma, Nokia, you three and the Royal Knights will take the army head on. If you see any of the big guns, do what you can to keep the occupied."

Arata nodded. "Okay."

"As for the vault...With the main force occupied we can sneak in a small team to go look around in there...But who to send...?"

"How about Keisuke?" Takumi suggested. "He's got a knack of doing things in secret. He might be able to sneak past them!"

Keisuke smiled. "Break through, take what you want and get away with minimal attention! That's what hackers do!"

"Then this hacker is going with you." Hudiemon replied.

"Shakkoumon and I are going too." Justimon added.

Mirei nodded. "Alright. Retrieving the cores is your job., Hudie"

"Then that just leaves the temples." Kyoko said.

Alphamon pointed at the center Temple. "Takumi, Ami, you're going with us to attack Seraphimon's temple."

"Takuto, Shiki, Himari and I will go here." Mameo said pointing at another one.

"Then Yuugo, Fei, Kouta and I will head to this one." Yuuko said pointing at the last one.

"Very good." Mirei nodded. "We'll divide the remaining Digimon between attacking the rest of the Sanctuary and defending the City."

"Well guys..." Ami took a deep breath. "This is it. You know...this team grew into something way bigger than I imagined. And we went through a lot. And we all grew from it. Both us and our supporting Digimon. And I'm glad I got to be a part of it."

"Likewise Ami." Shiki smiled. "I'm actually kinda glad I was kidnapped from my world. Because I got to meet all of you, grow alongside you, see so much and help so many."

"It really has been a journey huh?" Takumi smiled didn't last long. "Not that everything that happened was a jolly good time."
Takuto sighed. "Yeah. A lot of lives were lost. So many have suffered...but that's why this moment that it's all built up to matters. This war must end. And it falls upon us to end it."

Keisuke nodded with determined eyes. "And when we do...we're going to find a way to bring humans and Digimon together peacefully. To make sure nothing like this or the Eaters happens ever again."

A voice spoke up from speakers nearby. "We shall be arriving in 5 minutes." Silphymon's voice said. "Prepare for boarding."

"Alright, let's divi up the remaining Digimon and get ready to roll out." MagnaKidmon said.

Hudiemon nodded. "This one's for all the marbles. Don't slip up. ...and most importantly, don't die. We're all going home to celebrate the Next Order's fall together!"

Standing guard at the edge of an island, two MailBirdramon were pacing back and forth on their patrol. Then one of them noticed a distortion in the clouds. "Hmm? What's that?"
"What is it?"

"Over their in the sky." The two noticed something was using a form of camouflage in front of them. "There's something there."

"Yeah...and it's coming right at us!"

The camouflage went down and showed Cache City flying right at them. The two Digimon ran away in a panic as the city slammed against the island. Shortly after, Nokia started walking towards the edge of the city with Omegamon and the rest of the Resistance following behind her. "Alright everyone." Nokia said. "For the freedom of the Digital World! Time to take the Next Order down!" The army let out a war cry.

BoltBoutamon folded his arms in front of a gigantic tube holding Examon. An orb with a red X pulsed against his chest like a beating heart. Examon's eyes snapped open, and he roared as the X-Antibody glowed. BoltBoutamon braced himself as the container shattered. He looked up to see Examon's new form. "Oh, ho! Excellent! This new form is probably the most promising result of the X-Antibody we have seen! Well, now that that's done..." A beeping took him away from his thoughts. "Hmm?" He pressed a button and a monitor opened up. "What is it?"

"Mr. Director sir! We have a problem! An entire city crashed into the Sanctuary and the Resistance is coming out of it slamming against us like a tidal wave!"

BoltBoutamon pushed the monitor aside pulling up another that showed the Resistance clashing against the Next Order. BeelStarmon opened fire and at their enemies. Leomon and GrapLeomon leapt overhead and punched down a Gigadramon. Noir charged and stabbed a RustyTyranomon before firing his cannon. "Tch! They used their flying city to bring the entire Resistance to our door. How clever."

"Sir, what do we do?!"

"We fight to the last mon. Send in everyone."

"Yes sir!"

BoltBoutamon looked up. "Sorry Examon. I know the feel of the X-Antibody takes getting used to, but I'm going to need you to get to it right away." The giant Digimon roared. BoltBoutamon then looked behind him where five Digimon stood. "I'm gonna have to put you guys to work too." One of the Digimon had a giant sword. Another was on all fours with a cannon on his back. One had multiple wings, one had a scythe, and one had a large body and long ears. BoltBoutamon then looked at the city through the monitor. "Still...this could be an opportunity to grab what we need. While I'm at it, they must have used something with great dark power to get into the Sanctuary undetected...this could be interesting."

"Don't let a single one get away!" Arata shouted.

"We got it!" Nokia replied.

"It's time to end this once and for all!" Shoma said.

Back in the city Sayo and Koh stood tall as a bunch of flying Digimon swooped towards them. "Don't let a single one inside!" Sayo shouted.
Koh nodded. "They want into the city they gotta go through us!"

Silphymon was the first to shoot. "Top Gun!" One by one the other Digimon with long ranged options started shooting. Some of the flyers went down, others evaded and landed leading to fighting breaking out in the streets.

As the fighting continued, Keisuke his behind a rock. Hudiemon, Justimon and Shakkoumon were close behind with the rest of the Tamers. "Alright." Kyoko said. "We all got our assignments."

"Then let's get busy." Keisuke put on his visor. "I'm heading to that vault."

"Be careful Keisuke." Takumi said. "Yu will never forgive me if I came home without you." Keisuke gave the group a two-finger wave then disappeared with his team using Stealth Hide. "Okay, we should get going too."

"Don't forget, Leopardmon and BoltBoutamon aren't just powerful but crafty." Mameo said. "No doubt they got surprises in store for us."
Yuugo nodded. "Let's go. We can't let them get away!"

"Be carefully everyone." Yuuko smiled. "We all have big plans after this, and I want to see them through together! Fei, Brother, Kouta!"

"Right!" The three went with Yuuko.

Takuto smiled and put a hand on Takumi's shoulder. "See you all when this is over!" He ran off with Mameo, Homari and Shiki.

Kyoko turned to Takumi and Ami. "Shall we get going Watsons?" The twins nodded.

"Bifrost!" Kentaurosmon shot at four Piddomon in the sky. When three Tuskmon rushed him, he held up his shield. "Odin's Breath!" A Tornado froze them all in place.

"Judgment of The Blade!" Jesmon followed up and sliced them all to pieces.

"Quake! Blast! Fire! Father!" Gankoomon tore through the army punching a hole in their formation like they were made of paper.

"Keep up the pressure!" Arara yelled.

"Mach Rush!" Diaboromon slammed a bunch of them.

"Heavy Strike!" Gundramon slammed a BlueMeramon high into the sky. Flamedramon leapt off of him.

"Fire Rocket!" The Armor Digimon set himself on fire and charged into it finishing the job.

"This is going great!" Nokia said. "Just keep pushing forward and we can win this!"

"Don't let your guard down." Shoma said. "I'm sure they still have an ace up their sleeve."

"Fall back!" A Tactimon ordered. The Next Order army took off as fast as they could.

"Huh?" MetalEtamon blinked as the Resistance watched them go. "Are they...running away?"

"Somehow...that doesn't seem like a good sign." A GranKuwagamon muttered.

A roar directed everyone to the sky. "Of God." Arata gulped.

"Look out!" Maganamom shouted as he and most of the others ran away as fast as they could. A good number of Resistance troops were crushed under giant red feet.

"What the hell is that?!" a Minervamon shouted.

Omegamon was holding Nokia who coughed up dust from the impact. She looked up to see a giant red dragon covered in white scales like armor. It had green eyes on its chest golden horns and gauntlets as well as gold pads on its wings and knees. Its huge claws held a giant dual green energy blade. Between its massive wings was a glowing blue orb. "What...IS that...?"

"This data signature..." UlforceVeedramon shuddered.

"Examon...!" Gallantmon took a step back. "And that form...!"

"Looks like Leopardmon had a spare X-Antibody for him."

Examon roared before swinging his blade. A huge cut was carved into the ground. And more Resistance members were instantly destroyed. "No!" Nokia screamed.
"This is a disaster...!" Noir backed up. "Examon on his own was bad news but this is...!"

Gallantmon growled. "My fellow knights and my human friends! We must stop him here! The rest of you fall back to the city! You will only be throwing your lives away!"

"Urk...I hate to turn tail on you guys..." Pidemon muttered. "But you bring up a good point. Run for it!"

Most of the Resistance backed off. But Arata noticed three Digimon still standing their ground. "BeelStarmon! MaganKidmon! Gundramon! You three too!"

BeelStarmon smirked and held up her gun. "Like hell. My brother would laugh at me if he knew I ran away from the battle of battles."

"The Three Musketeers don't give up!" Gundramon said. "No matter how bad the odds are!"

"And we don't leave folks behind." MagnaKidmon added. "If y'all are stayin' here then we're stickin' around for the ride as well."

"Ho, ho, ho!" Gankoomon laughed. "I like your spirit!"

"Very well." Kentaurosmon said. "Just don't get in our way."

"Heh. Right back at you." BeelStarmon replied.

As Examon X roared Arata and Nokia took our their Digivices. "Diaboromon! X-Evolution!"

As Nokia screamed glowing white Omegamon and Diaboromon transformed. "Omegamon Merciful Mode!"

"Diaboromon X!"

Examon X looked down at his targets and slammed his giant Ambrosius into the ground. "Here he comes!" Gallantmon said pointing his Lance forward.

Yuugo, Yuuko, Fei and Kouta along with their Digimon hurried over to a temple. Yuugo and Yuuko were at the left side to the entrance while Kouta and Fei snuck to the right. Yuugo listened at the side then signaled Craniamon. The Royal Knight slowly stepped towards the doorway and looked inside as he held up his shield. He scanned the interior. It was too dark to see anything. He signaled and Samudramon, Yukimura and Fei's Digimonslowly went inside. Their Tamers were close behind them. "It's quiet..." Fei said as she carefully checked her surroundings.

"Yeah..." Kouta replied. "This temple though...it kinda looks like a church, doesn't it?"

"True." Yuuko nodded. "The interior looks like a church. This was home to the most holy Digimon, right?"

"Correct." Samudramon nodded. "They say it is a holy land where Digimon offer prayers."

"Who do Digimon have to pray to?" Fei asked.

"Whoever they believe will listen." Sakuyamon replied. "Some pray to the Celestial Digimon (even though they themselves come here to pray, it's odd, I know) some pray to the Royal Knights, some pray to the Sovereign, some pray to King Drasil..."

"So this is where those in need would pray for peace." Yuugo frowned. "It hurts to think Leopardmon had been using it for his abuse of power..."

"That's coming to an end." Kouta declared. "We're going to kick that jerk off his high horse and return this world to the Digimon."

"Damn straight we are." Fei smirked.

"Are you sure about that?" Torches lit themselves around the room. Once it was brightened Yuuko, Yuugo, Fei and Kouta noticed a DanDevimon standing at the far end of the room. Two other DanDevimon were with him. And in the very back was a female Digimon that looked like Ophanimon but...more menacing. She has a white mask on with red eyes and held a scythe in her hands. "You were fools to come here."

"I guess we swung and miss." Fei said. "I don't see Leopardmon here or even BoltBoutamon, or Dynasmon. Damn."

"Hmph. The king and his allies are too occupied with far more urgent matters then you kids. But don't worry. You shall perish here by our hands before you can see what they have in store for you."

The scythe wielder aproached with her weapon. "That looks menacing." Yuugo muttered. "And it looks a lot like..."

"Ophanimon?" One of the DanDevimon snickered. "Meet Ophanimon Falldown Mode. The angel of death."

Craniamon banged the bottom of his spear on the ground and adjusted his grip. "Be on your guard everyone. There is something sinister about this one."

Fei pondered. "If it's like Ami's Digimon it should still be Vaccine Type..." She took out her Digivice. "Showtime girls! TigerVespamon! Pheonixmon! Sakuyamon! Extra Xross Evolution!"

Fei's three Digimon combined into their singular X-Antibody form. "Sakuyamon X!"

"Let me handle that one guys!"

"I see..." Yuuko thought. "Data Type verses Vaccine Type. Okay. We'll leave it to you Fei. The rest of us will take the devils." Yuuko closed her eyes as she and her Digivice glowed.

"Yukimura! X Evolution!" As Samudramon engaged his Fierce Blade Mode Yukimura became a Medieval Gallantmon. "Let's rumble!"

Takuto, Shiki, Mameo and Himari stepped into another Temple. This one was already brightened and inside were three Pharaohmon. There was also a tall Digimon in green armor with ten bat wings. "So, you have come." one of the Pharohmon said. "Just as his majesty and the Malevolent Fist predicted."

"Where is Boltboutamon and Leopardmon?!" Takuto asked. "Those creeps got a lot to answer for!"

"If you want answers, you must go through us. But be warned, that we fully intend to take your souls as an offering to ShadowSeraphimon!"

When the green Digimon stepped forward Shiki took a look at him. "This is…Seraphimon?! What happened to him?!"

"After the Next Order seized Cloud Sanctuary, we took the Celestial Digimon and had the Deadly Digimon curse them with evil energy from the Dark Area. They now serve the king as gods of destruction."

"This is awful…" Himari murmured. "The Celestial Digimon are supposed to be a symbol of light and hope for everyone! How could you do this to them?!"

"One more thing the Next Order is going to answer for today." Mameo glared. "Let's do this."

Takuto frowned looking at ShadowSeraphimon. "I'm sorry…I can't save you. But I can at least give you peace." He held up his Digivice. As did his sister and Mameo. "Nova! Storm!"

"Skyla! Gaia!"

"File! Zero!"

"Extra Xross Evolution!"

As their Digimon merged Himari took out her Digivice. "Rikka! X-Evolution!"

Omni and Faye emerged with Infinity and the Magnadramon X. "Let's do this!" As Omni and ShadowSeraphimon leapt into the air towards each other, the Pharohmon and the remaining allies charged towards each other.

Takumi, Ami, Kyoko and their Digimon snuck towards the last temple quickly but quietly. "There it is." Kyoko said. "Let's prepare for the worst."

"Agreed." Alphamon said. "Leopardmon has already surprised us too many times."

They quietly went into the darkened temple. They slowly stepped into the dark deadly room. Rapidmon Armor picked something up and blocked a red thunderbolt. "Seems like this was a trap."

"Holy Light!" Ophanimon glowed and illuminated the room. A purple and green giant with creepy yellow eyes was holding a red thunderbolt.

"Cherubimon." Alphamon said. "But this form and presence…something hellish was done to him."

"I see…so the Next Order didn't kill the Celestial Digimon." Rosemon said. "They captured them to corrupt them into these monstrosities."

"Damn you Leopardmon…" Takumi growled. "There is nothing sacred to you, is there?"

Alphamon hard something then flew in front of Takumi and Ami before blocking a huge blue laser with her hand. Then Kyoko heard something whirling towards the knight and took out her Digivice. Alphamon became Alphamon Orkuyken and blocked the flying sword with her own blade. "What was that?!" Ami asked.

Two Digimon landed nearby, and the flying sword returned to one of them. He looked like WarGreymon but with a tail and spikes on his shoulder pads. Two gold and red armored plated stuck out of his back and instead of the Dramon Destroyer claws he held a giant sword. The Digimon next to him looked like MetalGarurumon but had a green noise and claws, firearms on his shoulders and tail, and a huge cannon on his back. "What are those Digimon?" Takumi asked.

Alphamon's eyes widened. "It really is them…"

Alphamon's worried tone was enough to scare Ami a little. "You know them?"

"Didn't I tell you? There were two Digimon created by King Drasil to terminate him should he become a threat to this world…"

"I take it that's these two?" Kyoko asked.

"Correct. VoctoryGreymon and ZeedGarurumon."

"So, this is how the Next Order overthrew King Drasil!" Kazuhamon gasped.

"But how was Leopardmon able to undo the seal?" Alphamon Oryuken asked. "Even King Drasil himself cannot hack into it. I just don't understand how he could get his hands on these two without my DNA…"

The two Digimon looked up. ZeedGarurumon's eyes flashed green. "ALPHAMON CONFIRMED. MULTIPLE HUMANS CONFIRMED."

VictoryGreymon's eyes glowed yellow as he held his sword forward in two hands. "BEGINNING TERMINATION PROTOCOL."

"Leopardmon must have reprogrammed them…that's how he convinced them King Drasil had gone rouge."

"Hey Alphamon, these two were specifically designed to destroy King Drasil, right?" Takumi asked.

"Correct. They were made with a special code that King Drasil intentionally made himself vulnerable to."

"Good. That means these two aren't as strong as King Drasil or we'd be in serious trouble."

"Perhaps, but don't think that means this will be easy. It takes more then a code to defeat the king." Alphamon Oryuken looked behind her at the evil Cherubimon. "And a Celestial Digimon won't go down without a fight either."

"Lightning Spear!" Cherubimon flew up at Alphamon Oryuken with a javelin of red lightning and slammed it against her sword.

"Kyoko! Alphamon!" Takumi and Ami were about to rush to the aid of their mentors but VictoryGreymon and ZeedGarurumon swooped overhead and landed in front of them blocking their path.

"We'll let you two handle them." Alphamon said. "You should be up for it."

"As for us…" Kyoko stared at Cherubimon as Alphamon pushed him back. The two stood ready to fight.

Takumi and Ami put their goggles on. "Rapidmon Armor! BlackWarGreymon! Dorugoramon!"

"Rosemon Burst Mode! Ophanimon! Kazuhamon!"

"Extra Xross Evolution!"

Their six Digimon became two mighty X-Antibody weilders. "Rapidmon Armor X!"

"Rosemon X!" They stared down VictoryGreymon and ZeedGarurumon as they circled around each other. The Dragon held up his sword at Rapidmon Armor X who kept his weapons pointed at him. The wolf aimed his cannon at Rosemon X who held her whips ready. The battle soon commenced.

Keisuke and his Hudie team into an underground corridor. The tunnel kept going deeper and deeper. They could hear rumbling from above. "Sounds like the others are doing a good job shaking the Next Order up."

Hudiemon looked up as she continued to fly after him. "...Something's wrong."

"What do you mean?" PileVolcamon asked. "All's going according to plan, isn't it?"

"Yes. And too much so if you ask me. This is supposed to be the Next Order's base of operations, right? So why is their army so small? I imagined there would be more Digimon here. Something's up."

Keisuke gasped as he saw what was waiting for them as they approached. A familiar Digimon was guarding a large vault up ahead. "BoltBoutamon?!"

The Malevolent Fist cackled as Keisuke and his friends reached him. "So, they sent you here Mr. Handyman? Interesting."

"So is you guarding a vault." Hudiemon retorted. "One would think you'd still be making X-Antibodies for the Next Order."

"By now we should have all the ones we need to carry out our goals. His majesty may have been bested by Alphamon, but once he truly masters its power he should be strong enough to take on anyone. Besides, I just gave our last one to another certain Digimon who should prove you lot trouble."

"Where is Leopardmon?" Justimon asked.

"Ah, looking for his majesty? I do hate to be the bearer of bad news, but I'm afraid you just missed him. He and Dynasmon took the bulk of our army and took their leave moments before you arrived."

"So, that's why the Sanctuary is undermanned right now." Hudiemon replied. "Where are they going?"

"To begin Project Nexus of course! At long last we finally have completed our prep work and are ready to kick our master plan onto action!"

"What?!" Keisuke gasped. "They already started?!"

"What is this Project Nexus anyway?!" MetalSeadramon asked.

Boltboutamon coyly put a finger on his chin. "Gee...I COULD tell you...but then again, why ruin the surprise?" He let out a cocky laugh.

"If you don't want to tell us, then I guess we'll just have to beat the answers we want outta you!" TyrantKabuterimon glared punching his palm.

BoltBoutamon snapped his fingers. Copies of Myotismon and Pidemon appeared around the team with purple mist glowing out of them. "Well then, let's get the party started, shall we?"

Keisuke put on his visor. "Careful what you wish for! TyrantKabuterimon! MetalSeadramon! PileVolcamon! Extra Xross Evolution!"

Keisuke's three Digimon fused. "HerculesKabuterimom X!"

Hudiemon, Justimon and Shakkoumon nodded to each other and faced different directions. "We'll take care of the clones Keisuke." Justimon said.
"You just give that malevolent clown what's coming to him." Hudiemon replied.

"Okay!"

BoltBoutamon laughed. "So, it's me against you then Keisuke. You're Extra Xross Evolution Digimon is promising. Show me how it compares to Takuto and Shiki!" His giant extra hands cracked their knuckles while one of his normal hands drew a sword and the other pointed his Chicken Fist pistol at HerculesKabuterimom X.

"You're gonna regret toying with lives and screwing with other worlds! Get him!" Keisuke pointed forward and his Digimon roared charging at BoltBoutamon.

Examon X's roar nearly blew the entire force away. He swung his blade towards Gallantmon and Magnadramon. They moved out of the way. MagnaKidmon and BeelStarmon dove out of the way before Examon could step on them. "Happy Bullet Shower!"

"Fly Bullet!" The gunmen opened fire shooting at Examon X, but the bullets bounced off his body. He didn't even seem to notice.

Gundramon ran up and took his shot. "Gewalt Schwármer!" The larger shells didn't seem to fare any better. "That is one tough dragon knight."

Omegamon Merciful Mode leapt up towards Examon X and took aim with his cannon. "Graceful Cannon!" He fired an energy blast, but Examon X looked down then a powerful barrier of wind emitted from the glowing orb around him. "Fearsome Blade!" Omegamon Merciful Mode went at him with the sword next.

"Thunder Sword Bureiragaha!" Examon's twelve thunder swords flew at Omegamon who deflected half of them with his blade, but the other half got some slashes in. Examon X brought the Ultimate Battle Lance Ambros downward on him and when he tried to block that he and Nokia were slammed onto the ground.

Nokia groaned and coughed up dust. "Nokia...are you alright?" Omegamon Merciful Mode grunted.

"Me? I'm more worried about you..."

"As long as you're alive I will pull through..." Omegamon Merciful Mode stood back up and looked at Examon X who looked Magnamon's Plasma Shoot and Kentaurosmon's Bifrost like it was nothing. "Still...this is a dire situation indeed."

Diaboromon X leapt into the air. "Hell Crusher!" His attack was met with little response before Examon X thrusted his Lance at him. UlforceVeedramon flew in, grabbed Diaboromon X and Arata and flew out of the way of the attack.

"Hide and Seak!" Noir rammed Examon X's head from behind then opened his cannon as Shoma established Matrix Link. "Transcendent Cannon!" They fired into him at point blank before being shaken off.

"I know." Nokia said standing on her partner's shoulder. "But we need to fight on! Everything is depending on this battle! The others are fighting like hell, and we have to meet their efforts!"

"Yes. You are right of course." Omegamon Merciful Mode said bringing his weapons out again. "Together then." As Nokia closed her eyes, she and her Digimon spoke in sync. "We will stop this war, bring peace to the Digital World and find peace for humans and Digimon together!" They took flight towards Examon X again.

Ophanimon Falldown Mode swung her scythe at Sakuyamon X who met it with her staff. She pushed it aside then whirled around before kicking the fallen Celestial Digimon in the face to push her away then pointed her staff at her. "Holy Light!" A blinding explosion blew her away and slammed her into the far wall of the temple. Sakuyamon X flew in and dove both her feet into her before bouncing off the fallen angel and holding a hand forward. "Izuna!" Four spiritual foxes ran at Ophanimon Falldown Mode, but she pulled herself out of the wall and moved out of the way before closing in.

"Destruction Cannon!" Her weapons blade turned black as she swung it at Sakuyamon X who ducked under it but did not expect the fallen angel's other hand to go for the neck. Sakuyamon X gapped and started to choke. When Fei activated a DEF Boost and her Digimon summoned the strength to kick Ophanimon Falldown Mode off her.

"Nightmare!"

"Gaia Element" Sakuyamon X's green explosive attack countered Ophanimon Falldown Mode's. As the combined burst died down the two combatants charged clashing staff and scythe against each other.

"Destroy Claw!" All if the DanDevimon's giant hands all swung at Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode, Craniamon, and Yukimura at the same time.

"Breath of The Gods!" Craniamon blocked all of them with his shield. He then pushed them back before sinking his spear into the ground. "Grand Rock!" A stalagmite crushed one of them into the ceiling.

Yukimura blocked a punch from one of the enemies with his weapon. "Saint Ray!" He burst with light that blinded his foe making him back away then pointed his lance. "Judgment!" It fired a white beam that blew the DanDevimon away.

"Nightmare!" Another DanDevimon shot multiple purple blasts at Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode who cut them apart with his sword.

The samurai then stabbed his sword into the floor. "Burst Flame!" A fire erupted scorching the target. He pulled the blade out of the floor then ran at his opponent swinging overhead. The DanDevimon caught it between his giant hands. Yuuko closed her eyes and swung her arms to the side. Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode copied her movements slicing the two giant hands on the DanDevimon's back off making him shriek. He pounced onto him wrapping his four remaining limbs around Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode binding him while latching onto him. Yuuko's Matrix Link backfired on her as it made her body imobilized as well. Until she and her Digimon pushed against the grip grunting. As Yuuko slowly got her arms away from her sides, Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode started prying DanDevimon off him. He lifted the vile Digimon up and threw him to the ground before finishing him off by stabbing him with his sword.

"Mias-Spew!" One of the DanDevimon tried to crush Yukimura between his back hands but the knight pushed against both with his lance.

"Flame Storm!" Yukimura rose a stream of lava on the DanDevimon and it backed away screaming in pain. "Rage of Wyvern!" He sent an emerald dragon from Dynas that tore through the target.

"Waltz's End!" Craniamon lifted the last DanDevimon up in a cyclone leaving him helpless in the air before he dove upward and slashed it in half.

Yuugo smiled with satisfaction as his Digimon landed. "Good work. That takes care of the small fry."

Kouta looked towards Fei's battle. "That just leaves..."

Ophanimon Falldown Mode's scythe burned with red fire. "Flame...Hellscythe!" She flew towards Sakuyamon X just as Fei closed her eyes.

Guiding her Digimon with her movement she ducked under the first swing leaned away from the second and the third. Sakuyamon X leaned backwards limboing under the last horizontal swing before she kicked the fallen angel in the face making her stumble away before locking her staff with the weapon and tore it from Ophanimon Falldown Mode's hands. As it crashed into the ground Sakuyamon X slammed her palm into Ophanimon Falldown Mode flinging her back. She shared her Tamer's cocky grin and words. "Come on you freaky iron maiden, is that the best you got?"

Ophanimon Falldown breathed deep and held her hands forward. "Demon's Crystal!"

Sakuyamon X looked around her as glowing violet lines traced through the air and connected into a shape around her. The space between solidified into a black crystal Sakuyamon X was trapped in. She screamed in pain along with Fei who shared the damage her Digimon took from the Dark force. "Fei!" Yuugo shouted as he watched her twist in pain. Inside her crystal prison, Sakuyamon X grunted as she tried to get herself to move but then thorny vines coiled around her limbs and middle mobilizing her. Spooky hands came out and started grabbing and clawing at her. Fei yelped as she felt each squeeze and scratch. "Craniamon!"

"Understood!" Yuugo's Digimon held up his spear.

"Wait!" Yuuko shouted. "Let Fei do this."

"But Yuuko-

The girl interrupted her brother's interjection. "Fei can handle this I know she can."

Fei grunted in pain as she and Sakuyamon X felt their limbs being pulled in opposite directions and. Fei shouted along with her Digimon who pulled her arms and legs back in before bursting free from the crystal and the horrors within. The two of them panted before speaking up. "Alright. You had your shot." Sakuyamon X's staff flew back to her hand, and she pointed it at Ophanimon Falldown Mode. "Now it's our turn." Ophanimon Falldown Mode brought her scythe back to her hands and charged. "Uka-no-Mitama!" Sakuyamon X held her hand forward and her red, blue, green and yellow foxes swirled together to become a giant white fox that flew at Ophanimon Falldown Mode. The corrupted Celestial Digimon tried to block it with her scythe but to her shock it dissolved upon contact, and she screamed as she was engulfed and slammed into the ground.

Yuuko smiled. "Told you."

Yuugo chuckled. "That you did. She sure is something else."

Ophanimon Falldown Mode weakly grunted on the floor before going limp. "Thank...you..." Her body dissolved into golden dust that flew away.

"Leopardmon was using her..." Samudramon murmured.

Fei clenched her fist. "She was forced to turn on what she held dear and believed in. I know what that's like. ...I swear that freak is gonna pay for this!"

"Fei..." Yuuko stepped forward. "I get why you're angry. But we cannot allow anger to consume us, or it will cloud our judgment. Like it did Kiryu...like it did Crusadermon...like it did me."

"Yuuko is right." Kouta said. "That's not to say we're not allowed to be angry, it's only natural. But we have to remember the true reason why we're doing this. It's not to lash out on the Next Order or claim vengeance."

"It's about saving the Digital World." Yuugo smiled. "About justice."

Fei took a deep breath. "Yeah. You're right. We gotta do this right. Prove our way is what will save this world. Not theirs."

"So Leopardmon, Dynasmon, not even BoltBoutamon was here." Yuuko said. "Judging by how they were expecting us I would say this was a trap."

"I think you're right." Yuugo said. "Does this mean all the temples are trapped? If one Celestial Digimon was turned the others might be as well."

"Then Takumi and the others could be in danger! We should hurry to the other temples!" Yuugo, Fei, and Kouta replied to Yuuko with a nod and they ran out the door.

"Necromist!" A Pharohmon unleased black gas from his sarcophagus on Infinity making him wince.

Mameo felt the force of the mist pushing him away. "Not like this…!" He closed his eyes.

"We won't…" Infinity growled before he and Mameo spoke together. "Fall here!" Mameo swung his arm and the Chaosdramon X pushed the miasma away.

"W-what is this?!" The Pharohmon stuttered.

Mameo held his hand forward and Infinity replicated him. "Destroyed Hook!" A drill fired out and tore through Pharohmon. Mameo exhaled as he opened his eyes. "That was…"

"Matrix Link." Infinity turned to him. "Our shared power…"

"Destruction Cannon!" Shadow Seraphimon shot a purple needle from his hand.

"Ice Statue!" Omni made a block of ice that shielded him. Shadow Seraphimon punched through it then kicked him backwards. His hands glowed with purple fire as he rushed at Omni and punched at him repeatedly. The Royal Knight dodged the attacks then fought back. "Mach Jab!" He opened up with a swift punch. "Gigawatt Lasser!" He shot Shadow Seraphimon away from him with one hand then gathered flames in the other. "Inferno!" Red flames scorched him.
Shadow Seraphimon growled backing up. He held out his arms and seven purple orbs orbited around him. "Strike of the Seven Dark Stars!" He threw them all into Omni and they exploded.

"Omni!" Takuto tossed his Digimon a HP Disc that healed him. "Come on! Get back up!"

Omni floated back to his feet. "This is different from when we fought the Seraphimon of our world."

"Then we need to fight differently too!" Takuto slammed his hand atop his Digivice. "Overclock!"

Omni glowed red and rushed at Shadow Seraphimon again. "Firewall!" Fire erupted from the ground right on top of his foe. "Saint Ray!" He followed up with a light attack.

Shadow Seraphimon backed away then gathered more orbs. "Strike of the Seven Dark Stars!" He threw them at Omni. Takuto closed his eyes and his Digimon's view became his own. Omni drew his sword and together they deflected all of his projectiles. "Strike of the Seven Dark Stars!" Shadow Seraphimon threw more, but they were again deflected. "Strike..." This time as he drew more Omni took out his cannon. "...of the Seven Dark Stars!"

"Supreme Cannon!" Omni shot right through the attack blasting its sender in the process. Shadow Seraphimon staggered before charging towards Omni shouting as he reeled back for a powerful punch. "Transcendent Sword!" Omni and Takuto shouted as the Royal Knight charged right into him with his sword held forward. As they dashed through each other there was a loud shing. Omni had a small wound on his torso from where he was struck. Behind him Shadow Seraphimon choked as his body started to slide in half.

"You're free now Seraphimon." Takuto frowned. "I hope we can meet again...under better circumstances."

"Please..." the Celestial Digimon quietly spoke. "Protect this...world..." His body dissolved and vanished.

Takuto closed his eyes. "I will. I promise I'll stop the Next Order from victimising any more Digimon like they did you!"

"No Takuto." The boy looked behind him to see that Shiki, Mameo and Himari were right behind him and finished off their opponents. "We will. Together."
Takuto smiled. "You're right. All of us together."

"Come on." Mameo smiled pointing behind him with his thumb. "Let's go check on the others." The group hurried outside.

They were about to set a course for the closest temple when Himari caught notice of something. "Hey, look!" She pointed at the giant red dragon.

"Is that...Examon?!" Takuto gasped. "He looks...different!"

"BoltBoutamon must have given him an X-Antibody!" Mameo glared. "We better help the others." They all started running towards the dragon.

That's part one of the Cloud Sanctuary raid, which I'm sure you can tell will NOT be the final battle. But even if Dynasmon and Leopardmon are not here, Examon and Boltboutamon must be delt with. How will our heroes topple this threat?
