"Dynasmon!" Omegamon shouted.

"So you have followed us even here. Impressive resolve. But you are too late. Soon Project Nexus will begin. And the end of the Resistance will come." He then noticed the Digimon with Yuugo. "You...How did you survive?"

"I am not the Craniamon you killed in cold blood. Before the wounds you left him could end his life, he gifted me with his power."

"I see...so his resolve only truly shows when he betrayed us. I feel I am the one being wounded..."

"What are you and Leopardmon up too?!" Yuugo asked.

"His Majesty is about to ensure that no harm can ever again come to this world."

"Give me a break." Himari scowled. "If anyone is hurting this world it's you bozos. Think of all the Digimon the Next Order killed!"

"We would not have to do it if they just accepted the new order of this world! They died because they chose to resist!"

"And you in turn chose to kill them?" Yuuko asked. "Is that how this "new order" works?"

"Dynasmon, it does not need to end like this." Alphamon said. "We can end this without strife. The Royal Knights were not created to do conflict with each other for control over the Digital World."

"Hmph. This from the fool who failed her duty to keep the knights together. For the second time I might add! What would you know about knighthood?"

"I know nothing. That is why I continue to ask questions. Do you really think what Leopardmon is doing is right?"

"Of course. If we are to ensure everlasting peace, we must eliminate any potential threats. If we sacrifice a few lives now, we will save many more in the future." Dynasmon roared and a blue dome formed around them. "This barrier will only fall If my life fades. You know what that means."

"It means to get to Leopardmon we gotta get through you." Fei replied.

"You really think you can take all of us alone?" Mameo asked.

"No. But I need not defeat you. Only stall you long enough for the king to complete preparations."

"So you're here to stall for time, huh?" Koh asked. "Alright, let's make this quick everyone!"

"Hold on a second Koh." Takumi said.

"We don't have time to mess around!" Sayo said. "You heard him, Leopardmon is going to start his plan any second! We need to act now!"

"Unless that's what Dynasmon here wants us to think and is trying to soften us up before we take on Leopardmon."

"He has a point." Kyoko replied. "Besides, all of us pilling on him won't work. Dynasmon is a skilled fighter. We'll only end up getting in each other's way."

"Agreed." Hudiemon replied. "One or two of us can take Dynasmon. The rest of us should conserve our energy. The next battle is the one for all the marbles."

"Sounds like a plan." Arata nodded. "So, who's getting this nuisance out of our way?"

"What's wrong?" Dynasmon X asked. "If you do not hurry and defeat me, then our victory will be assured."

"You're too full of yourself Dynasmon." Yuuko said as she stepped forward with Samudramon. "Just like Leopardmon. It is past time you were put in your place!"

"Okay, I guess we're leaving it to Yuuko then." Ami replied.

"Fine by me." Arata replied. "Knowing her she can handle it."

"Maybe..." Yuugo said stepping forward. "But just in case..."

Dynasmon X stared at his approaching challengers. "So, it is you siblings then."

Hearing that caused Yuuko to notice her brother was also walking towards him. "Yuugo..."

Yuugo smiled to her. "We missed eight years of time with each other. I think we should do more together. Besides...I feel obligated to do this for the previous Craniamon."

"As do I." Yuugo's partner, the current Craniamon added.

"So that's what this is about then?" Dynasmon X asked. "Revenge for the traitor?"

"No." Yuugo replied. "I've seen enough to know that revenge is not worth pursuing. This...is about honoring his wishes. Craniamon believed that there was a better way for peace then the Next Order. That humans and Digimon could coexist. That is why he left everything for me and my partner."

"I represent those ideals and beliefs of his." Craniamon said. "I will prove to you how strong our combine conviction is. Be warned Dynasmon! You won't destroy THIS Craniamon so easily!"

"So be it! Come my fellow Digimon! And your human comrades! I will answer your convection with my own!"

Yuuko cried out glowing with white aura as her Digimon transformed to Fierce Blade Mode. "Meteor Fall!"

Dynasmon X flew away from a meteor and charged at them. "Grand Rock!" Craniamon summoned a stalagmite, but Dynasmon X just plowed through it and held out his claws.

"Wind Claw!" Dynasmon X clashed against Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode's sword. Craniamon ran up to trust his spear at Dynamon X who blocked it with a foot. "Gale Storm!" A mighty tornado blew around them.

Both Samudramon Fierce Blade Mose and Craniamon took damage before the knight reacted. "Guard Charge Field!"

As his defensive prowess increased Sumadramon Fierce Blade Mode aproached Dynasmon. "Wolkenapalm!" He jabbed the knight stopping his attack.

"Thank you, brother." Yuuko said. "Now to turn this around!"

"Binding Whirlwind!" Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode generated his own tornado that blew Dynasmon X into the air.

"Waltz's End!" Craniamon added to the storm increasing its power. Both Digimon then jumped at Dynasmon X while he was helpless and slashed at him.

The Royal Knight cried out in pain but recovered quickly and punched Craniamon in the back before grabbing Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode and spinning higher into the air with him, piledriving Yuuko's Digimon into the ground. "He's as fierce as ever." Ami said.

"Dynasmon's fighting prowess is the peak of the Royal Knights." Alphamon replied. "He knows this is his end and he will still fight with everything he has."

"Dragon's Roar!" Dynasmon X shot two beams from his hands. One at Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode who dodged it and another at Craniamon.

"Breath of Gods!" He blocked it with his shield, and it started to crack. Dynasmon X put the other beam that missed Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode against him as well. Craniamon grunted slidding backwards trying to hold them back but soon his shield shattered, and he was on the ground.

"Craniamon!" Yuugo gasped.

Dynasmon X charged at the downed knight, but Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode intercepted him. "Brother, stay back!" Yuuko said. "We can take him!" She closed her eyes and linked with her Digimon. "Kikurin Thunder Slash!" They got in a cut that electrocuted Dynasmon X who backed away. With every swing of their sword, they sent a bolt of lightning that Dynasmon X blocked with his claws as he aproached. Once he was close enough, he swung his claws at them only to be dodged and find his foe right at his left. "Splendid Blade…of Tranquility!"

Dynasmon X shouted as a deep slash was inflicted on him. Right when Yuuko and Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode were about to attack again he flew back grasping his wound. "Matrix Link…and your power that surpassed Mega Digivolution…so this is your full power."

"That's right." Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode and Yuuko replied. "And we will use it to cut you down and shatter the Next Order's ambitions. We will protect this world our own way."

"That is your resolve? Very well. Allow me to reply to that with my own." Dynasmon crossed his arms and glowed red.

"Now what's he up to?" Keisuke asked.

"Is he overcharging his own DigiCore?!" Omegamon gasped. "Dynasmon, stop! If you do that while using the X-Antibody, even if you win-

"I am aware…this will dwindle my lifeforce away…But I have already accepted that I will not survive this battle…I shall die a glorious warrior's death! Judge me however you want! But I shall die a loyal member of the Next Order!" A fiery red aura glowed around him. He stared at Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode. Then without warning he was in front of him and grabbed him by the neck.

Yuuko gasped grasping her neck feeling the force holding Samudramon X up by his. Dynasmon X Punched Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode to the ground. The samurai was dragged across the dirt before he stopped himself by stabbing his sword into the ground. By then Dynasmon X was flying circles around him. He stood ready with his sword to react and was able to catch the Royal Knight with his blade when he charged at him, but Dynasmon X then scratched him repeatedly. Yuuko shrieked covering herself as she felt every hit. "Yuuko!" Takumi and Fei were ready to run to her.

"Stay back!" Yuuko shouted stopping them. "I…I can't just have myself get saved all the time…I can fight too!"

Dynasmon backed away from his opponent. "…You speak like a true warrior human. Very well then! To the death!" He roared rushing at Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode again. He and Yuuko did their best to block the blows until he slashed at Saumdramon Fierce Blade Mode's thigh making him lose balance, knocked his sword arm away and clawed him in the gut. As Yuuko and her Digimon stumbled Dynasmon X backed away and summoned a giant dragon of mist. "Breath of Wyvern!"

"YUUKO!" This time not only Takumi and Fei, but Nokia, Ami, and Arata were all springing in to help.

But just when Dynasmon X was about to throw the attack a familiar spear flew through the air and struck him and his attack vanished. "Who…?!"

Craniamon was holding his arm standing nearby. "I told you…I won't go down that easily! Not with my human partner by my side!"

Yuugo activated a HP Spray healing his Digimon and Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode. He looked at Yuuko. "You know Yuuko…you're not the only one who wants to save people rather then be the one getting saved."

"Brother?"

"I was powerless when I was trapped in the Eaters. All I could do was watch you all from a distance and interact for mere moments at best. All while simply waiting to be rescued. But this time…I can finally fight alongside you. And the ones who taught me how to fight for myself and for my friends…it was you. All of you."

"Yuugo…"

"And now that you've all shown me what I have to do…It's time I stood up! I'm not just some side character anymore! After all I made a promise that I intend to keep! I will stop the Next Order and make sure Craniamon will be reborn in a world for humans and Digimon! That is my conviction!"

"And I have sworn that I would use the last Craniamon's power to aid that cause! But most importantly…" He held his hand forward and his spear flew back to him. "I swore to remain by Yuuko's side! I will be his sword and his shield!"

Yuugo smiled at his Digimon before noticing a glow from his Digivice. He took it out and looked at the glowing X on the screen. "Dynasmon! If you're conviction is solely to the Next Order, then we'll show you the strength of conviction the Resistance holds!" Dynasmon X got into a fighting stance. "Craniamon! X-Evolution!"

A blue dome formed around Craniamon. His armor started to transform piece by piece. Skulls on each shoulder and knee, blades on the forearms and a red crystal on the chest between two blue lights that glowed like eyes. A shield appeared on his back and as he held up Claíom Solais up it changed shape and extended transforming it into the magic spear Kyukyoku Senjuken Dáinsleif. The shell shattered as he spun it then held it outward. "Craniamon X!"

"Craniamon…X…?" Keisuke gasped.

"This is…Craniamon's X-Antibody form?" Ami asked as she and the others spectated the knight's newfound splendor.

"Interesting!" Dynasmon X said. "Now…show me what you can do, successors of my old comrade's will!"

Craniamon X roared as he charged at Dynasmon X who caught his spear with his hands. They both grappled for a bit before Craniamon X pushed his opponent back. "Grand Gríðr!" The blades on his arms flew off and slashed Dynasmon X. As they returned to Craniamon X's armor he clenched his free hand and held it up. "Grand Rock!" A stalagmite shot Dynasmon X into the air, and he jumped after him spinning sideways. "Heavy Strike!" His spear slammed Dynasmon X back into the ground.

"Not bad…" Dynasmon X stood back up. "But it will take more then that to defeat me! Gale Storm!" Another tornado appeared around Craniamon X who stood ready. "That form may boast incredible power…" When he heard Dynasmon X from somewhere in the storm Craniamon X looked around. "But can it match my speed?!" He flew out of the tornado and slashed Craniamon X before vanishing back into it faster then his opponent could retaliate. Dynasmon X reappeared to slash Craniamon X again and vanish. This continued a few more times. Then at the tenth dive Dynasmon X readied both claws. "Wind Claw!" Craniamon X turned towards him, but Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode ran in and blocked Dynasmon X with his sword. "You!"

"Brother…" Yuuko said. "You forgot this is our fight as well. You said yourself we should do more together." She closed her eyes before speaking in sync with her Digimon. "And we're not finished yet!"

Yuugo smiled and activated Matrix Link with Craniamon X. "Let's go!" Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode shoved Dynasmon X backwards before Craniamon X jumped over him and brought his spear downward. Dynasmon X flew to the side and charged at him, but Samudramon X shoulder charged him. Both he and Craniamon X rushed up and swung their blades at Dynasmon X repeatedly who blocked a few blows before he started to take hits. Dynasmon thrusted an arm at Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode, but Craniamon X rushed in front of him with his back to Dynasmon X and the attack was blocked with the shield on his back. He then kicked a leg backwards pushing Dynasmon X away.

Dynasmon X roared summoning a dragon. "Breath of Wyvern!" Craniamon X and Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode pulled their arms back before thrusting their weapons at the dragon. It grinded against the sharp tips of their weapons before dissipating.

"Amazing…" Sayo breathed. "Their synergy and power are incredible…"

"Indeed." Alphamon nodded. "Those two have transcended the Royal Knights. Found new power and a new resolve. Both of them have grown up."

"I'm not surprised by this result." Takumi smiled. "Siblings always do their best side by side."

Shiki giggled. "Ain't that the truth."

Fei smirked. "Those two really are somethin' else. Always were."

Dynasmon X panted. "So…that's how it is then." He flew straight up and gathered. "If this shall be my end…I'll take as many of you as I can with me!"

A shockwave emitted from Dynasmon X threatened to blow everyone over. "Tch. He's serious." Arata groaned. "Dead serious."

"You won't be taking anyone!" Yuugo and Craniamon X said. "We won't let anything sever us ever again!"

Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode sheathed his sword as he and Yuuko spoke up. "Our friends…our family…our worlds…we'll protect all of them!"

Dynasmon X's horns glowed as he flapped his wings and backflipped into the air before charging at Cranimon X and Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode. "DRAGON'S GUST!"

"Splendid Blade of Tranquility!" Yuuko and Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode drew their sword.

Craniamon X and Yuugo spun Kyukyoku Senjuken Dáinsleif with amazing speed and it glowed before they held it back. "Heoendings Waltz!" They thrusted and both weapons each clashed with one of Dynasmon X's horns making a deafening clash.

Dynasmon X roared as he started to push harder making his enemies slide backwards on their feet. Yuugo and Yuuko grunted at the force approaching them. But their Digimon stopped themselves. "…Overclock!" The twins took a step forward and their Digimon did the same pushing back. Then another step. And another. Yuuko, Yuugo and their Digimon cried out as they swung their blades knocking Dynasmon X out of his attack and making spin backwards. Craniamon X and Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode instantly closed the gap and stood swiped diagonally. A glowing gold X was left on Dynasmon X's chest. He cried out as his body exploded with white mist. When it died down, he was on his back and out of his X-Antibody form.

"They did it!" Keisuke cheered.

"Obviously." Fei grinned. "It's Yuugo and Yuuko we're talking about."

The twins exhaled as their Digimon returned to their previous forms. "Awesome work you two!" Takuto said as the group approached.

"Yuugo, that new Craniamon form is seriously badass!" Keisuke said. "And now we have yet another X-Antibody form to fight the Next Order with! Just in time for the finale!"

"I'm sure it will prove helpful for the final battle." Yuugo nodded. "But not nearly as instrumental as what I draw my true strength from."

"Your true strength?" Luche asked.

"Yuuko, Craniamon and all of you. My friends and family. You give me the courage to fight on no matter how bad it gets. All of you are my true strength."

Yuuko smiled. "Brother!"

"Heh." Arata smirked. "And to think we were worried about you coming with us because you didn't have a Digimon. And now look at you. You've caught up to us all."

"Most of us." Yuuko said. "But I'm sure brother has already surpassed you at least."

"Always gotta have the last word."

"Says you."

"Come on you two." Yuugo quickly broke the argument up. "Let's save the hostility for our enemy."

"Well done…" When Dynasmon spoke up all attention was on his glowing body. "So, this is your resolve…I knew this would happen…but I have no regrets. I once again die a warrior's death. On the path I believe in unwavering…"

"Hate to break it to you while you're on your deathbed there." Himari said. "But your death is going to be in vain. We will stop Leopardmon."

"Yeah, him having an X-Antibody won't save him." Koh added. "We already beat Examon when he had one."

Dynasmon chuckled. "Indeed…you and your Digimon possess great power…power that surpasses even the King…but the source of that power…I know now it comes from your conviction…your desire to protect something…if that convection is lost…so is the power you wield. Heh, heh, heh, heh…ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha, ha!" Dynasmon laughed as he glowed brighter before he vanished leaving his X-Antibody on the ground. The done blocking the team disappeared.

"If your convection is…lost?" Luche asked. "What did he mean by that?"

"I have no idea." Shoma replied.

Yuugo walked over and picked up the X-Antibody. "…Let's go. This isn't over."

"Yeah." Takuto said. "We wasted a lot of time. We gotta hurry."

Ami looked up. "Whatever Project Nexus is, we can't let it go through."

"Then let's move onward and upward." Kyoko said. "Almphamon, care to show us the way?"

"Come along." The team followed Alphamon through the cave.

Darcmon was crying out as she thrashed against the chains holding her. The Sovereign DigiCores around her glowed white, azure, and black while she glowed red. BoltBoutamon watched her carefully. Leopardmon approached. "Dynasmon has fallen. We're running out of time."

"Our lady here should be ready any minute now. The other part of our plan on the other hand is going to take more time."

"Focus on the Sovereign. We can use the beast to slow them down while you finish your work."

BoltBoutamon smirked. "This is going to be an exquisite party. I'm looking forward to it."

Deep underneath the Tower of Truth, Kiryu led the Three Musketeers and the Ten Legendary Warriors inside a deep dark chamber. "This is it." Kiryu said as they all stepped inside.

"Ugh, can we make our visit here a quick one?" Kazemon asked shivering. "Looking at this place reminds me of being held here and having my power drained for GranDracmon's nefarious ends."

"If you want this to be quick then start looking." Arbormon said.

"We need something with significant dark energy." Loweemon said. "Both Lucemon and GranDracmon came from the Dark Area. I'm sure there will be something in here we can use."

Kiryu looked at his Digivice. "I'm picking up something…" He walked towards the corner of the room where a sheet was covered something large. He grabbed it and tossed it aside. Underneath was a giant stature on a pedestal of all seven Deadly Digimon.

"…What the hell." Bettlemon said. "Of course, those creeps haver a giant statue of themselves."

"I can sense a dark energy emitting from this statue…" Loweemon said.

Kiryu rubbed his chin. "Interesting. Perhaps Lucemon was using this to help generate more power since he couldn't return to the Dark Area."

"Then hopefully this will provide what we need." Gundramon replied. "BeelStarmon, you're up."

BeelStarmon took out the X-Antibody and the Berejena and walked up to the statue. She looked at the part of it that resembled Beelzemon. "…This time I'll be the one to save you." She held them both up and they started to float in front of the statue. "Beginning bonding process."

Everyone watched the objects swirl around each other as the statue started glowing. "…Think this will work?" CresGarurumon whispered.

"I hope it does." Agunimon quietly replied.

Purple light formed between the swirling objects. It started to take a form. "It's working!" Kumamon said.

Suddenly that statue started to crack, and the light grew dimmer. "Oh no…" Mercurymon gasped. "The artifact!"

Cracks grew as small parts chipped off. "No! We're so damn close!" MagnaKidmon yelled.

Kiryu pulled up a monitor and started typing. "It's not over yet!" A blue glow formed around the statue as the cracking slowed down.

"Kiryu!" BeelStarmon gasped.

"Even if I couldn't protect my own brother…I will at least repay my debt to yours!"

The purple light glowed brighter. The statue still started to crumble. BlitzGreymon and CresGarurumon rushed over to hold pieces in place. "Come on!" Agunimon shouted as he and the others rushed over to help them.

The monitor Kiryu was working with gave him a shock making him yelp and clutch his shoulder in pain. "Damn it!" He kept working.

BeelStarmon ran up to the purple light that the guns and X-Antibody started to merge with. "Damn it brother…you're not getting off that easy! I know you're tougher than that! We're all counting on you! There's still so much you can do for this world! So come the hell back already you jackass!" The purple light glowed brighter. Then it made a violet explosion that blew BeelStarmon into Kiryu who's monitor faded. Those holding the statue collapsed as it crumbled into dust on the floor. Kiryu helped BeelStarmon up and they looked at the empty space where the light was. Even the X-Antibody and the Berejena were gone. "No…"

"Did we…fail…?" Gundramon asked.

"Dammit…!" Grumbled growled. "Of all the…DAMN IT! We were so close…!"

BeelStarmon stepped forward then dropped to her knees. Kiryu sighed. "…I'm sorry…" He couldn't bare to look at her.

"Beelzemon…" BeelStarmon gritted her teeth as hey eyes watered.

Kazemon frowned before noticing something fly past her. Looking to her left she saw purple dust in the air. "Huh? Look!"

The Digimon looked around them to see purple powder swirling from the ground where the statue laid in ruins. It flew over to where the X-Antibody and Berejena previously were and started to swirl together. The purple light reappeared and took a humanoid shape. The Crown of Gluttony appeared and there was a bright flash that blinded everyone. "What's going on?!" BlitzGreymon asked.

"I-is this…?!" Lobomon gasped.

When everyone could see the first thing they saw was blue feathers floating around them. Now standing in front of them was a tall Digimon with a blue mask and blond hair, and blue wings. He wore silver armor, and hir right arm was a giant cannon. "This is…" MagnaKidmon gaped.

BeelStarmon stood up. "…Brother…?"

Beelzemon opened his three eyes and looked at his new body. "What…? How did…?" He looked around and then in front of him. "BeelStarmon? Why are you here? Wait…are you crying? Sheesh, I though you finally stopped being a crybaby."

BeelStarmon ran up and punched Beelzemon in the face. Before anyone could react to that she threw her arms around him. "Welcome back…my selfish dumbass brother."

Gundramon and MagnaKidmon ran over to join them. The rest of them smiled watching. "Mission accomplished." Agunimon and Lobomon held their fists towards BlitzGreymon and CresGarurumon surprising them at first. But they returned the fist bump basking in the nostalgic feeling.

Beelzemon patted his sister's back before they backed away. "To think after everything, you would go so far out of your way to bring me back from hell itself…"

"Well, duh. We're family, remember?" MagnaKidmon smirked.

"And keeping family safe means everything." Gundramon added.

"Heh…" The new and improved Beelzemon gave a rare smirk. "Thank you, guys…for this second chance."

"Don't just thank us." MagnaKidmon smiled behind him. "We got a lot of help from the Resistance."

"Yeah." BeelStarmon grinned behind her. "And help from unexpected places as well.

Beelzemon then noticed Kiryu. "A human, eh? …Wait…I saw this one before…back in the human world…"

"It's been a while Beelzemon." Kiryu replied. "And now I can finally thank you and repay you for what you did for me that day."

"I acted on a whim. I'm not interested in people owing me or thanking me."

"Heh. Well…that's okay too I suppose."

"So, now that restoring Beelzemon is off our to do list, what next?" Grumblemon asked.

"Ain't that obvious?" Ranamon grinned. "We got a fake king to kick of his throne and onto his royal butt!"

"Agreed." Agunimon said. "We're off to the Mountain of Infinity!"

"The Mountain of Infinity?" Kiryu asked. "Why there?"

"Oh, right. You don't know. Leopardmon and the remainder of the Next Order there. They're starting something called Project Nexus."

"Do you know anything about it Kiryu?" Lobomon asked.

"Only that it requires the DigiCores of the four Sovereign Digimon. And that it's supposed to guarantee victory for the Next Order."

"I guess we'll know once we get there then." BeelStarmon replied. "You're coming too, right Beelzemon?"

"Damn. Just came back from the dead and you're already pushing me around? Well, I guess I do owe you and the Resistance now…besides, the Four Musketeers were formed to punish scum like Leopardmon." Beelzemon held up his new cannon. "And I'm itching to take this new power I got from you guys out for a spin."

"Hold up." Kiryu said. "You said Leopardmon took all of the Next Order with him?"

"That's right." Agunimon replied.

The human put a hand at his chin. "Interesting…that means nobody is manning security for the servers right now…"

"What are you plotting?" Loweemon asked.

"I might be able to hack into Leopardmon's private files from Hosaka's computer upstairs. We can find out what Project Nexus truly is. Maybe more about what Leopardmon wants with those Digital Waves he had the fool collect."

"I see…" BeelStarmon smirked. "Then I say we take a little peak behind the curtain."

"Shouldn't we be hurrying to the Mountain of Infinity?" Kazemon asked. "The others might need our help."

"Please, between the humans and the Royal Knights they got plenty of kickass over there already. It would be more helpful for them if we could find out more about their plan."

"Then let's get cracking." MagnaKidmon said. "The sooner we find out the better. Back upstairs we go."

Meanwhile Takumi and the others were hurrying up the Mountain of Infinity as fast as they could go. Many Next Order Digimon stood in their way, but they didn't let anything stop them on their accent. As Diaboromon kicked a Hookmon off the mountainside as Alphamon destroyed a Karatenmon and looked back at her team. "It's just a little further everyone! Keep moving!"

They all ran upward as fast as they could. And soon the reached the peak of the mountain. As they stepped onto the top, they could see a large army of Digimon gathered. Two Knightmon spotted them and drew their swords. "Halt!" The Tamers and their Digimon stopped and prepared for battle.

"Stand down." Leopardmon's voice drew everyone's attention.

"Y-your majesty?"

"You heard me. Let them through. They are invited to witness the end of this war. And the glory of my plan."

The two Knightmon withdrew their swords and stepped aside. The crew uneasily stepped forward. As they proceeded more of the many Digimon stepped aside clearing a path until they saw Leopardmon and BoltBoutamon. And then they saw suspended in chains a familiar Digimon. "Darcmon!" Takumi, Ami, Nokia, Arata, Nokia, Yuugo and Yuuko screamed as they ran forward.

As they approached Leopardmon turned around and held his hand forward and a giant wall of light cut them off. "I said you were invited to witness my plans come to fruition. You need not interfere with them."

Ami slammed her hands against the wall. "Let Darcmon go!"

"Oh, we will." BoltBoutamon smirked. "Once she's ready for the party."

Mameo noticed the orbs connected to Darcmon via chains. "Guys, look!"

Fei gasped. "The Sovereign DigiCores!"

"What are you planning Leopardmon?!" Takuto asked.

Leopardmon looked back at his work. "I suppose you humans would not know of the story of the great Huanglongmon."

"Huanglongmon…" Takumi pondered. "Gallantmon and the others mentioned him. He gave birth to the Sovereign, right?"

"That is true. But he was also born along with this world. The great Yellow Dragon of the Center. King Drasil poured all his strength into creating this deity and the world and was forced to go into a deep slumber for many years. And so, Huanglongmon was tasked to watching over this world in his place. But in time as life expanded through this world it became too difficult a task for him alone. So, he created four Digimon with his holy power. Each one would be tasked to monitor a corner of the world while he maintained balance in the center. Ebonwumon, the Black Tortoise of the North. Zhuqiaomon, the Vermillion Bird of the South. Azulongmon, the Azure Dragon of the East. And Baihumon, the White Tiger of the West."

"So, they were his proxies thought the world, huh?" Shoma asked.

"But one day, Huanglongmon went mad with rage. And he went on a rampage that threatened the entire Digital World."

"What made him do that?" Luche asked.

"A good question. To this day no one is certain of the cause."

"Actually…" Alphamon interjected. "King Drasil believes it might have something to do with the creation on the Dark Area. It happened around the time Huanglongmon went berserk. Perhaps its sudden appearance threw off it's balance of good and evil?"

"Hmm. Possible." Leopardmon admitted. "In any case, with the king still asleep the Digimon of the world had to arm themselves in order to stop the rampaging god. Alongside the four Sovering he created. By the end, nearly 80% of all Digimon were killed. It was the greatest catastrophe Digimon ever faced."

Alphamon looked away. "…Second greatest actually."

Ami looked at her worryingly. "Alphamon?"

"In the end the world was saved when Huanglongmon finally fell." Leopardmon continued. "But the four Sovereign faced grievous wounds. The four disappeared. Each leaving one of their mighty Sovereign DigiCores. …That is the story behind the four Sovereign and Huanglongmon."

"Fascinating." Kouta replied folding his arms. "Now is there a point to this story, or are you just trying to stall us?"

Leopardmon cackled. "Do you still not know why I want the four Sovereign Digimon's remaining DigiCores?"

"Because they have the power to defeat Huanglongmon?" Shiki asked.

"Because they have the power OF Huanglongmon. He created them with his holy might…fragments of his power remain within him."

Alphamon gasped. "I see…so that's what you are planning!"

BoltBoutamon laughed. "Bingo! We're going to use their power to bring the legend back to life! To create a new Huanglongmon!"

"You can't be serious!" Apollomon gaped.

"You would risk recreating the Digimon that nearly brought genocide upon us?!" Omegamon shouted.

"Aren't you the ones bringing humans who also nearly brought genocide upon us back to this world?" Leopardmon asked. "We too will do whatever it takes to win this war!"

"But you're plans have hit a snag thanks to Darcmon absorbing the Zhuqiaomon DigiCore, haven't they?" Yuuko asked with a smirk. "If you try to remove it, it will be destroyed. Destroy her and she will take the Core with her."

"Darcmon's desperate tactic has proven to be an annoyance." BoltBoutamon replied. "…But then I found a way to use it to our advantage."

"What do you mean?" Sayo asked.

BoltBoutamon looked at a screen. "It is time your majesty."

"Good! Begin!"

BoltBoutamon looked at Darcmon. "You absorbed the DigiCore of Zhuqiaomon? Then why don't you keep it. In fact…you can have them all!" He slammed his hand on a button.

The three DigiCores around Darcmon glowed along with her. She creamed as the three went into the chains slid down them before entering her body. "Darcmon?!" Omegamon gasped.

Darcmon glowed yellow and screamed louder. The chains binding her snapped as she strained against them and fell to the floor. "Oh ho! Power input is increasing! Yes! The four are reaching out to each other within Darcmon!"

"It is time!" Leopardmon ascended from the ground. "May the wrath of the Yellow Dragon end you traitors and intruders once and for all!" He flew away.

"Oh yeah, all Next Order personal might wanna back the hell away too." BoltBoutamon said. "This could get a weeee bit messy. And on that note: see ya!" He immediately ran off. The rest of the Next Order Digimon ran in a panic as well. The barrier vanished.

"You little…!" Arata growled. "Get back here!"

"Forget about them Arata!" Nokia shouted. "Darcmon is suffering!"

The group ran over to their friend. Takumi got on a knee and put his hands on her shoulders. "Darcmon, can you hear me?! Are you alright?!" He was caught off guard when Darcmon shoved him over onto his rear. "D-Darcmon?!"

"Get…Away…!" Darcmon held her shaking shoulders. "Can't…hold it back…! I…I…! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" Darcmon unleashed a yellow glow that blew everyone again while assaulting their eyes.

"What's happening?!" Himari shrieked. Kyoko held Luche close as everyone shielded themselves from the powerful wind.

When the light died down, Takuto slowly lowered his arms. "Is Darcmon…" He saw a giant leg instead of Darcmon. Following it his eyes slowly trailed upward. "Ah…Ah…!"

"No…way…" Nokia shivered.

Yuugo took a slow, shaky step back. "Is this…real…?"

They all stared up to see the largest Digimon they ever saw. A Digimon with four giant legs, many sharp scales all over its body, six red eyes and twelve red DigiCores orbiting around it's back. "No…" Alphamon gapped. "They really did…"

This was the first time any of the gang heard Alphamon panic. And as much as it terrified them…they couldn't blame her with the even more terrifying sight before them. "Is this…?!" Ami gasped.

"The legendary Yellow Dragon of the Center…!" Noir gapped. "Huanglongmon…"

"Darcmon…?" Ami shivered. "DARCMON!" The giant dragon let out a horrifying roar.

Back in the office on the top of the Tower of Truth Kiryu's eyes shook as he looked at the screen in front of him. "No…"

"THIS is Project Nexus?!" BeelStarmon asked. "You've gotta be kidding me!"

"Has Leopardmon finally lost his mind?!" Lobomon asked. "He'll go that far…just to…!"

"Unbelievable..." CresGarurumon shivered.

"That scumbag." Beelzemon snarled. "I think I hate this guy even more now..."

Beetlemon looked at the group. "We gotta go warn the others right away!"

"You're right Beetlemon." BeelStarmon nodded. "Let's hurry to the Mountain of Infinity."

"Roger that!" Ranemon said as they all started to make way for the exit.

BeelStarmon stopped when she noticed Kiryu standing still with his Digimon. "Kiryu, aren't you coming too? After what we just learned you can't act like this doesn't concern you!"

The human looked away. "Go. I will not stop you. I must sort out my thoughts on this matter."

"Kiryu!"

"Leave the man be sis." Beelzemon replied. "He has to make his own choice."

"But Beelzemon-

"The guy's been through one devastating shock after another. He needs time to process before he can act."

"I agree." Agunimon nodded. "Besides, if anything I'd rather he returns home to his brother. They've both seen enough tragedy for both realities."

"Kiryu..." Lobomon spoke softly. "Look after Subaru. And...thank you. For everything." He and the others started leaving.

Beelzemon was the last one. "Remember what I said kid. You need to make your own choices. Think hard on what ya need to do." He turned around and followed his friend out.

Kiryu sighed. He stood at the desk quietly for a moment. Then he started typing at the computer. "What are you doing?" BlitzGreymon asked.

"I've got a call to make...assuming the signal will reach this far..."

Just to clarify, Beelzemon didn't transform into Beelzemon Blast Mode. But rather this is the form of Beelzemon from the 2010 Anime. Xross Wars/Fusion. Why did I not pick Blast Mode? Part of some distant future plans I'm making.
