The Dex Digimon were prowling freely throughout the Digital World. In Backlog Mire, a DexDorugoramon was ripping apart a tree. It turned purple and slowly dissolved. A DexDorugamon ate a plant. Its pieces glowed purple between its teeth. The Digimon heard something and looked up. Cache City was flying overhead extremely fast. As it passed over, Magnamon, UlforceVeedramon and a number of Digimon jumped from the city and descended upon them. "Victory Swords!" UlforceVeedramon slashed down a DexDorugoramon.

A LordLeomon landed on a DexDorugamon and Lilamon faced two DexDoruGreymon. "Lila Shower!" She blew them away in a storm of pink.

In Drive Canyon, more of the cursed Digimon were locked in battle as their opponents emerged from a portal created by Mastemon. "Weltgeist!" Jesmon blocked three DexDorugoramon at once.

"Table Flip!" Gankoomon flipped a giant hunk of rock at them.

"Fury Fire!"

"Devine Pierce!" Both Awake Sisitermon destroyed two DexDoruGreymon.
A Tankmon shot a DexDorugamon. A DexDoruGreymon charged at him but fell over from MetalEtamon's Banana Slip. The moment it was on the ground, a MadeLeomon pounced on it with Dinohumon, and Grizzlymon.

"Blizzard Blaster!" Kumamon fired snowballs at a DexDorugoramon. It turned to him and aproached with his claws.

"Andro Anca!" Kazemon hip checked it turning its attention toward her before she flew out of the way of the Digimon behind her.

"Bifrost!" Kentorusmon shot arrows that froze the beast in its tracks. Gundramon roared charging in and shattering it.

Arbormon was grabbing onto a DexDorugamon and steered it clear into the ground before backing away. "Pyro Tornado!" Agunimon engulfed it in fire.

"Spider Thread!" An Arukenimon tied up a DexDoruGreymon in threads. Grumblemon smashed it with his hammer.

In Memory Medow a DexDorugoramon wrestled with a Slayerdramon. It looked like a stalemate before BettleGamamon and Flamedramon rammed it in the head cloaked in fire. Slayerdramon knocked the DexDorugoramon down and stabbed it with his giant sword. MagnaKidmon shot down a flock of DexDoruGreymon one by one as they swooped at him. One of them got close, but Lowemon cut it in half.

Gallantmon X held up his lance and a giant beam of light extended from it. "Zeig Saber!" The extended spear cut down every Digimon that it touched as he swung it around carefully avoiding hitting any allies.

"Wow, look at him go!" Beetlemon cheered as the remaining enemies rained from the sky. "He's putting that new X-Antibody to good use!"

"We're actually taking them all down!" a Baalmon said. "We can win this!"

"Don't let you guard down!" Gallantmon X ordered. "The Next wave approaches." A swarm of new targets was approaching from the sky.

"Look at em all..." a Brachiomon gulped.

"Can we really take them all?" Mercurymon asked.

"Do not lose heart!" Gallantmon X said pointing his spear forward. "Our human allies will cut out the root of our problem just as they did the Eaters! Our task is to protect our world until they do! We will show our enemy that we Digimon will stand for our home!" The others behind him let out a war cry. "Charge!" Gallantmon X flew towards the approaching Digimon.

Cache City stopped over Connect Jungle. "This is the closest we can get without the Malevolent Tree shooting down the city." Mirei said. "With all his Digimon flying around I would recommend that you approach from ground level. Mastemon and I will stay here with Agumon Expert and our other brilliant minds and try to interfere with him processing the Digital World and reaching for the human world."

"Which leaves us to approach the tree just like we planned." Satome said.

"Correct."

"Takuto, you have the program I made?" Hudiemon asked.

Takuto smiled holding a Digimon doll. "Right here. I gotta say, putting it in Luche's plush was a nice touch."

"I doubt the Malevolent Fist will suspect the doll has a hidden program inside of it." Mirei smirked. "A little Trojan Horse trick I learned from someone we know well."

Shoma looked uncomfortable. "Um...thank you?"

Shiki glared at Mirei. "Mirei, come on! Do you really need to scratch at the scar like that?"

"It's okay Shiki." Shoma replied. "Besides, thinking about it...the trick I used to hurt Luche is now going to save her...it feels better looking at it that way. Kind of poetic justice."

"The tree will probably resist the program if we try using it while it's at full strength." Kyoko said. "Our best chance is to attack it to get it's attention and if possible, soften it up a bit. Then we can take it by surprise."

"Agreed." Alphamon nodded. "Once we pull Luche out, we will immediately use our secret weapon. Takumi, you have it ready?"

Takumi nodded and held up his hand. A glowing orb of bright white light sparkled over his palm. "...Yeah. I got it."

Kiryu gritted his teeth. "I still can't believe we're using that cursed thing."

"Believe me man, all of us are skeptical." Arata replied. "But we need to do this."

"Now see, THAT'S poetic justice." Kouta grinned. "The Eaters tried to doom both worlds. And now they're the key to saving them."

"And here I am using them to do that." Takumi said. "The very person who summoned them."

Ami looked down. "If this doesn't atone for my past...nothing will."

"Takumi...Ami..." Yukino walked up to her daughter and son. "Whether you feel you've "atoned" after this or not, you don't need to prove yourself to anyone."

"I agree." Alphamon nodded. "It's true that what happened back then has caused a lot of strife. But in my eyes, the troubles you caused by accident are far outweighed by the good you have done intentionally."

"She's right." Kyoko said. "And while there may be a Digimon here or there who still holds a grudge, think of all the allies you two have who have forgiven you. Who think you should forgive yourselves. It's like I told you Takumi, they're reaching out to you while you stay in your dark corner. Now you must decide to reach back."

Takumi smiled. "I know Kyoko. I can't let this past hold me down forever. But that doesn't mean I can just forget it."

"When our memories were restored, we made a promise." Ami said. "Never forget again. But just because we can't forget something doesn't mean we can't forgive."

"Exactly." Fei grinned. "Frankly I find it weird that you two are willing to forgive everyone aside from yourselves."

"I'm sorry, I'm lost here." Yu said. "What is it you two need to forgive yourselves for?"

"Maybe we'll share it someday." Takumi replied. "For now, I'll just say it was something we did long ago that hurt a lot of people and Digimon."

"Takumi, when we started working together you told me that part of why you're fighting for this world is redemption." Takuto said. "That's pointless if you are never willing to give it to yourself. It's time you finally forgave yourselves."

Ami closed hey eyes. "Once we put this all to an end…we'll finally be able to do just that." She opened them and smiled. "But redemption isn't the only reason why I want to win this."

"Oh?" Kyoko smiled. "Then what pray tell is the other reason?"

"So, we can see our dream come true. A dream where humans and Digimon live together in peace."

"Us humans and Digimon hanging out together?" Chitoste smiled. "You know…I think I'd be down with that. I've only known Digimon for a little while and I'm already finding myself attached to Shakkoumon here."

"Same." Yuki smiled. "A world where I can hang out with Beelzemon and his pals would be pretty sweet."

"You know you guys…" Yuuko said. "EDEN and the Digital World have now become one. And even if we defeat the Malevolent Fist, there's no guarantee it will return the two to normal…"

Everyone stared to him. "Yuuko…are you suggesting…?" Yuugo breathed.

"You want to make EDEN a place for humans and Digimon together?" Ami asked.

Yuuko smiled. "Why not? I DID promise that was the EDEN I wanted to create."

"Humans and Digimon together in EDEN…" Kiryu said. "Like back then…"

Ryuji looked at everyone. "Digimon have been in EDEN before?"

"In another lifetime. Yes." Arata replied closing his eyes. "But Yuuko…you do know what this will lead to, right? Humans using Digimon to hack around in EDEN."

"I'm aware of the hazards." Yuuko replied. "But now that the worlds have linked again…maybe permanently this time…humans and Digimon encountering each other in EDEN is inevitable. So wouldn't it be best to try to establish a form of peaceful friendship between them to at lease decrease the damage caused?"

"She's not wrong." Takumi replied. "This incident may have bread a lot of chaos. Some of which could still be yet to come…but it could also be an opportunity."

Nokia grinned. "Sounds like we got ourselves some things to think about when this is all over!"

"Maybe." Mameo said. "But for now, we need to move. We're running out of time. And so is Luche."

"You're right." Keisuke looked at the team. "This is it everyone. Our final battle. Once we pull this off, this war will finally be over. I just want to say I'm happy I got to be a part of this. With all of you."

"Likewise, Keisuke." Ami smiled.

Takumi patted Keisuke's shoulder. "Me too, hero. Well…it's time to go." He started walking.

"So, wait, how do we get to the ground from here?" Satome asked.

Yu noticed Takumi approaching the edge of the city. "Uh, Takumi, what are you…?" Takumi turned around to the others as his three Digimon assembled. He smiled and leaned back tipping over the edge and his Digimon flew down after him. "IS HE INSANE?!"

Takuto grinned. "Hey, it's the direct route." He ran up and jumped off of the city himself. "WOOOOHO!"

"Hey, wait for us!" Shiki grinned as she and Ami ran up and jumped off. Ami holding her skirt down as she fell with their Digimon flying after them.

"That's our reckless heroes for you." Arata smirked.

"Well, I'm not letting them do all the work!" Nokia cheered. "Let's go Omegamon!"

"Of course!" Nokia's Royal Knight replied as they jumped off. Arata and Diaboromon followed them.

"Let's hurry after them!" Yuuko said running ahead with Samudramon.

"Right behind you!" Yuugo replied as he and Fei jumped with their Digimon after Yuuko.

"Last one there's a rotten egg!" Himari said running up to jump off the city.

"Won't be me!" Kouta replied as he jumped with Yukimura.

"Are you ready Mr. Mameo?" Shoma asked.

"Always." Mameo replied running up to jump off the city with his student.

Ryuji turned to Keisuke. "Are they always like this?"

"You get used to it." Keisuke smiled. "Come on, we better follow."

"Damn straight!" Chitoste smirked. "Let's show these kids how Hudie rolls!"

"Yeah! We can do this together!" Yu said as he, Keisuke, Ryuji, and Chitoste ran over and jumped off.

Hudiemon smiled. "…Those guys…Same as ever." She ran after them and leapt off the city.

Sayo took her Digivice in one hand and held her other to Koh. "Ready?"

Koh took her hand and held his Digivice. "Yeah. Time to see this through." The ran over together and jumped off with their Digimon.

"We should get going too." Kiryu said to Yuki and Satome.

Satome gulped looking at the edge of the city. "I'm not sure I can do this."

Yuki grabbed his sister's hand with a grin. "Sure you can, come on!"

Satome yelped as her brother pulled her behind him as he ran to the edge of the city. "No! Wait! Yuki! EEEEEEEEEEEEK!" Satome screamed as Yuki jumped taking her off the city with him. Kiryu silghtly smiled before he ran up and dove off the city with Omegamon Alter-S following suit.

"Oh, great." Beelzemon sighed. "Really know how to pick em, don't we?" He flew off.

BeelStarmon laughed. "Oh, I think we're going to have a lot of fun with our new partners." She ran up and jumped off the city.

Kyoko giggled. "Ah, carefree youth."

"When did I become responsible for all these reckless humans?" Alphamon asked. "I guess my karma's finally catching up to me."

"Well, let's hurry and go after them so we can keep an eye on them."

"True. I'd rather not have to worry about Yukino putting me in a casket like she promised." Alphamon and Kyoko ran up and jumped off the city.

Yukino smiled. "It's good to see my daughter and son have grown up and made so many wonderful friends. I just wish Takiyo could see them now…"

Darcmon smiled and held out her hand. "Then I suppose we will have to watch them on his behalf. Shall we?"

Yukino smiled taking Darcmon's hand. "Yes. Let's." Together then were the last to run up and jump off the city.

Mirei smiled. "You have all grown into outstanding people. I know you will see this through…and continue to grow alongside your Digimon."

Down below Takumi was in freefall with his Digimon. All of their allies were descending behind him. His Digimon pulled in front of him as he put on his goggles. "Rapidmon Armor! BlackWarGreymon! Dorugoramon! Extra Xross Evolution!"

His three Digimon came together and emerged in their strongest form. "Rapidmon Armor X!" As the ground aproached, Takumi put a hand on his Digimon and pulled himself onto his shoulder before the X-Antibody Digimon landed on the ground. Next to him Rosemon X landed carrying Ami. Then Takuto and Omni, then Shiki and Faye, then Nokia and Omegamon Merciful Mode, then Arata and Diaboromon X, then Yuuko and Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode, then Craniamon X and Yuugo, then Fei and Sakuyamon X, then Himari and Rikka in X-Antibody form, then Kouta and Yukimura and Medieval Gallantmon form, then Shoma and Noir, then Mameo and Infinity, then Keisuke and Yu on HerculesKabuterimon X with MarineAngemon floating close by, then Chitoste on Shakkoumon, then Ryuji holding Justimon's shoulder as he flew to the ground, then Hudiemon, then Sayo and Koh on GraceNovamon, then Beelzemon descending with Yuki on his shoulder holding BeelStarmon by her hand so she'd land gently carrying a still startled Satome as Omegamon Alter-S landed behind them with Kiryu. Then Kyoko and Alphamon Oryuken, and finally Darcmon carrying Yukino. With everyone on the ground they looked at the decayed state. "This is horrible…" Sayo murmured.

"Yeah, it looks like we're in hell here." Yuki muttered. "That tree did this?"

"If we don't stop it, all of the Digital World, EDEN and our human world will meet the same fate." Yuuko replied.

"That would be horrible…" Yukino said looking around recording with her Digivice.

"We better move." Fei said.

"Agreed. We'll approach firmly but slowly." Alphamon said. "I'd rather we get as close to the tree as possible without being detected."

"I concur." Kiryu nodded. "If we charge in recklessly, we'll be swarmed with enemies meaning we'll be wasting time and energy. It seems there is no limit to how many of these beasts the Malevolent Tree can create. Meaning he can send them at us endlessly."

"Alright. We'll approach quietly." Shiki said. "But let's get going now. We're running out of time."

All the Digimon started walking forward with their human partners. Takuto looked at the doll he was holding. "Just hold on Luche…"

The roots around Luches arms and legs slowly coiled further up her limbs. Another snaked around her waistline as another gently but firmly wrapped around her neck. The girl sniffled holding back tears. "Are you frightened?" the Malevolent Fist's voice asked. "It's alright, you should be. Oh, but don't worry little Luche. Soon it will all end and you won't have to feel fear anymore."

"I'm…not scared…"

"Tell yourself whatever you like. …Hmm? Well, well, well. It seems that merry little band of humans has returned to the Digital World. Much sooner then I expected."

Luche gasped. "Takuto?! Shiki?! Everyone!"

"They even increased their numbers. How unexpected. I wounder what their new help brings to the table. Perhaps a…little test before the main event is in order."

Luche yelped as the branch around her midsection tightened and another wrapped around her head covering her eyes. "Ah…!" Tears finally started to slip.

"Maybe I'll have you out of my system before they arrive. Can't have you ruining the party after all!"

Luche whimpered. 'Please…hurry…!'

The team was striding through Connect Jungle carefully. "We're getting close." Kiryu said. "Only a little further to the Mountain of Infinity."

"No signs of the enemy yet." Arata added. "Gallantmon and the others must be really raising hell on them."

"They're doing whatever it takes to buy us the time we require." Yuuko replied. "We have to make it count."

"We will." Memeo nodded.

"I just hope we make it in time..." Shiki muttered. "Poor Luche..."

Alphamon lifted her head. "What's wrong?" Kyoko asked.

"It seems we've been discovered."

A roar directed everyone's attention to the skies. A swarm. DexDorugamon, DexDoruGreymon and DexDorugoramon all came flying at them. "So much for reaching the tree noticed." Kouta groaned.

"The Malevolent Tree holds the powers and permissions of King Drasil." Alphamon replied. "We could only hide from it for so long."

"Question is, does he think this can stop us?" Kiryu asked. "Or is this a test of some sort? Or maybe he's just stalling for time..."

"Doesn't matter what he's trying." Himari replied. "We'll power through and take the fight to him!"

"Here they come!" Omegamon Merciful Mode said drawing his blade. "Prepare yourselves!"

"Darcmon, you and mom keep your distance!" Ami said. The enemy Digimon slammed to the ground one by one. The chaos immediately broke out. Omegamon Alter-S cut a DexDorugoramon in half while BeelStarmon shot five DexDorugamon down. A DexDoruGreymon lunged at Rikka, but GraceNovamon grabbed it and lifted it up before obliterating it in light. Yukimura thrusted his axe into a DexDorugamon then swung it into DexDoruGreymon. Alphamon cut two DexDorugoramon in half.

The fighting intensified more and more as more Dex Digimon charged in. Alphamon lost sight of the others. "It seems they're trying to separate us."

"Not just trying." Kyoko said. "They succeeded."

Shoma and Kiryu were back-to-back with their Digimon as they were surrounded. "Yuki...Satome..." Kiryu gritted his teeth.

"Beelzemon and BeelStarmon can take care of them." Shoma replied. "The two of us need to concentrate on what we need to do."

"You're right."

Noir took out his sword. "All of them against us."

"Two Enforcers and their partners." Omegamon Alter-S pointed out summoning his cannon. "They stand no chance!"

Elsewhere Samudramon Fierce Blade Mode cut down three DexDoruGreymon leaving a trail of white fire. Craniamon X stabbed a DexDorugoramon and Sakuyamon X obliterated five DexDorugamon with light. "Ha! These weaklings stand no chance against us!" Fei grinned.

"I have to say...this mess be damned it feels really good fighting alongside all of you." Yuuko smiled.

Yuugo nodded. "I couldn't agree with you more. Together we will set this right!"

"Giga Blaster!" HerculesKabuterimon X blew up four DexDoruGreymon at once.

Keisuke was looking around frantically. "Hudiemon?! Yu?! Ryuji?! Chitoste?!" He heard a loud shred and looked behind him. Infinity was tearing through the opposition with his claws. "Mr. Mameo, have you seen any of Hudie?!"

"No, I haven't. But right now, we need to focus on clearing through this mess!"

Hudiemon kicked a DexDorugamon to the ground then flew past a DexDoruGreymon getting its attention before it was hit by a Disaster Blaster. "Ah...these things just keep coming!" Yu groaned.

"Just stay focused!" Ryuji ordered. "We can power through!"

"Justice Burst!" Justimon attacked with pellets that destroyed the DexDorugamon that approached and knocked back the DexDoruGreymon. But the DexDorugoramon were barley phased.

Chitoste heard something from the bushes and turned around. A DexDorugamon was trying to attack the humans from behind. And its sights were on an unsuspecting Ryuji who only turned around when it leapt put. "Ryuji!" Chitoste pushed his best friend aside.

"Chitoste!" Ryuji got up onto his knees and saw the DexDorugamon standing on Chitoste ready to take a bite out of him.

"Get away from them!" Hudiemon charged into it knocking it off him. "Gaia Element!" She hit it with a green explosive and looked to the boys. "Are you two alright?!"

"Uh...yeah, thanks." Chitoste replied as they got up.

"Good." Hudiemon smiled. "I wouldn't bare it is something happened to you two again."

"Again?" Ryuji rose an eyebrow.

Hudiemon cleared her throat. "Forgive me, I misspoke." The situation was awkward. So awkward that she failed to notice that the DexDorugamon was getting back up.

"Behind you!" Ryuji yelled.

Hudiemon turned around and was tackled to the ground. "Ah!" A giant foot pressed her against the dirt. "Get...off of me!"

"Hudiemon!" Justimon ran towards her, but a DexDorugoramon slammed him to the ground. Shakkoumon was covered in DexDorugamon firing his eye lasers wildly and MarineAngemon couldn't even do any damage to the larger enemies.

"Well, shit." Chitoste gulped. The remaining Digimon started to close in around them.

"Wh-what do we do?" Yu asked.

"Calm down..." Ryuji tired his best to sound reassuring.

"Guys, run!" Hudiemon yelled.

"Kinda got nowhere to run to..." Chitoste muttered. "Damn it...can't let it end like this!" Shakkoumon looked at Chitoste. Memories of him taking care of him as Ankylomom started to surface. He thought back to everything he went through together. And those memories summoned strength. He roared throwing the enemies off his glowing white. "Shakkoumon?!"

"SHAKKOUMON...DIGIVOLVE TO..." A bright light engulfed him and he transformed into a version of Gallantmon with black armor sporting a blue cape. "ChaosGallantmon!"

"Wow!" Chitoste was at a loss for words.

"Your Digimon turned into a knight?" Yu asked. "He looks like that Digimon that won everyone over earlier!"

Hudiemon looked up. "Shakkoumon...Digivolved...!"

ChaosGallantmon held up his lance and it glowed Grey before he pointed it at the DexDorugoramon pinning down Justimon. "Demonic Disaster!" He fired an arrow of light into it tearing it apart. He then charged and impaled the DexDorugamon that was on Hudiemon.

"Amazing..." Yu breathed.

"Chitoste." ChaosGallantmon spoke. "I will be your shield that protects you and your allies as well as the lance that strikes down your enemies."

Chitoste was bewildered. But he got over the shock and flashed a grin. "Heh! Talk about good timing! Thanks, big guy. I'm counting on you." He turned back to the approaching Digimon. "You got my back, I got yours."

"Of course." ChaosGallantmon held his shield forward. "Judecca Prison!" He fired off a purple wave that blew a few down.

"Hey, we can't let Chitoste hog all the glory!" Yu grinned.

"This isn't a game, Yu." Ryuji said before smiling slightly. "Still...it would look bad for the team to leave everything to him. Justimon, are you ready?"

"Of course, Ryuji." Justimon's arm transformed. "Thunder Clap!" He jumped up and slammed it to the ground sending a gold shockwave that obliterated the smaller Digimon and knocked the bigger ones off their feet.

"Ocean Wave!" MarineAngemon blew down a couple more.

Hudiemon looked at the fighting Digimon then at their tamers. "Some things never change."

Yukino was hiding behind a tree recording with her Digivice. BeelStarmon and Beelzemon were shooting wildly at everything that came close. Yuki projected a monitor through his Digivice. "Let's see, Kiryu said you just need to..."

He activated a ATK Boost and Beelzemon glowed red. "Oblivion Cannon!" He tore a hole through the enemy ranks with a powerful blast.

"Nice one big bro!" Satome smiled before taking out her own monitor. "Now let's show em what we're made of BeelStarmon!" She activated an AGL Boost.

"Now you're talking!" BeelStarmon glowed.

"Metal Cannon!" A horde of DexDorugamon fired cannonballs at BeelStarmon who ran around them with amazing agility as she approached.

Once she was under them, she slid on her knees and aimed her pistols upward. "Fly Bullet!" She pulverized all of them with her bullets. Next a bunch of DexDoruGreymon came at them. BeelStarmon got on her hands and swung her legs around like she was break dancing. "Hurricane Screw Shot!" The heels of her boots fired bullets.

Beelzemon took out his Berenjena. "Double Impact!" He joined his sister in the bullet shower.

Yukino watched the enemies disappear one by one. "Amazing...it's like watching a movie happening in real life." She stepped forward for a better view.

"Yukino, don't get too close!" Darcmon warned.

The warning fell in deaf ears and Yukino's foot snapped against a twig. One DexDorugamon, DexDoruGreymon, and DexDorugoramon each turned their heads toward her. "...Oops."

Yuki noticed some of the enemies were turning away. "What's with them?"

Satome looked in the direction they were facing and gasped. "Oh no! Miss Aiba!"

Beelzemon and BeelStarmon stopped what they were doing and looked in the reporter's direction. "Damn fool!" Beelzemon growled as he and his sister darted towards her.

"Brave Metal!" A DexDorugoramon slammed atop each of them from behind dragging them into the dirt.

"No! BeelStarmon! Beelzemon!" Satome cried out.

"Damn cheepshoting assholes!" Yuki yelled.

Darcmon drew both her sword stepping between Yukino and their approaching attackers. "Stay back Yukino!" She ran straight for the DexDorugoramon. "Dancing Sword!" She charged in and swung her blade into the beast. Only for the blade to shatter immediately upon contact. Darcmon awkwardly stared at her destroyed weapon, the spot she slashed at that didn't have a scratch, then up at the DexDorugoramon glaring at her. "...That's not good." With no warning she was grabbed in its hands and lifted her off the ground.

"Darcmon!" Yukino was about to rush over but then gasped and backed away as the DexDorumon and DexDoruGreymon drew near.

Darcmon's legs failed uselessly as she tried to squirm in her captor's grip hoping to at least get an arm free. "Suddenly starting to miss having Zhuqiaomon's power..." she mumbled before the grip around her tightened and she screamed in pain.

Yukino backed against a tree as the two Digimon approached like predators in front of their feast. Even still she held onto her Digivice despite fear of the end. "Takumi...Ami...if you two hear this recording...I'm sorry I wasn't always there for you two growing up...and please know...I love you both."

Somehow Yukino's words reached Darcmon who opened her eyes.

"Our mom is always away at work… And our dad is dead…"

"I don't want to be alone again…"

"Your mother surely has her reasons for being away so much. When you get back, ask her."

"Won't she get upset?"

"Why? If you two feel lonely when she's gone, I'm sure she'll understand. I'll bet she misses you both when she's away too."

"Darcmon does kinda seem like a mom! She's so kind and smart!"

"But she doesn't look old enough to be a mom."

"Soooo, more like a big sister then?"

"Yeah! Like that!"

"She does seem like one I guess."

"A sister huh? Well, it fits I suppose. I always did think of this village's residents as family."

Darcmon gritted her teeth as the next thing her mind flashed to was her on her knees screaming alone in the remains of Harmony Village in the previous reality after the Eaters attacked. "No..." She gritted her teeth. "Never...again!" White light erupted from her. The DexDorugoramon winced as it was blinded by the glow. When it could see again a whole new Digimon was trapped in its hands. But all it took was one kick to break out of it's hold before a beam of light pierced through it.

Yukino was shutting her eyes bracing herself for the end as the DexDorumon opened its jaws to bite her, but something flew by piercing through it. Yukino gasped looking up as one of her attackers faded in mist and the other was watching a white bird fly around before it dove into DexDoruGreymon destroying it. Yuniko watched the bird fly over to a gorgeous woman floating in the air. She had long blond hair, a white blindfold, silver feathered open-toe boots and a rather revealing white dress. In one hand she held a scallop and in the other the bird perched itself on her finger. Yukino stared up in awe at the graceful form. "Oh..."

Satome and Yuki were in awe to. "Beautifull…" the girl breathed.

The new Digimon turned to the DexDorugoramon holding down Beelzemon and BeelStarmon. "Peace Fantasia!" Her bird swooped in and pierced through both of them before they exploded in light.

Beelzemon grunted kneeling. "What is this power…?"

"Unbelievable…" BeelStarmon muttered.

The new Digimon descended to them. "Hold still. I'll heal your wounds. Healing Therapy." She held her hands towards them, and light washed over the two.

Yukino walked up to them. "…Darcmon?"

The Digimon turned around to look at her. "I am Venusmon."

"Wow." BeelStarmon looked at herself. "Just like that I'm good as new and back to full strength. Since when did you have this power Darcmon?"

Venusmon smiled. "To be honest…I don't think this is my power alone."

"What do you mean?" Yukino asked.

"In that moment…when you were in danger…and you spoke of your love to Ami and Takumi…rapid thoughts whirled through my head. Thoughts of how you mattered to them. How they longed to be with you. And how much family means to each other flowed through me. And then I remembered how in another lifetime I lost everything. That's when I realised just how much it would hurt those two if they lost you. Takumi…Ami…they're good kids. Who have already suffered undeservingly. They don't need anymore heartache. I think it was your love and bond with them that made me Digivolve into this form."

"My love…for Ami and Takumi?"

Venusmon nodded. "When they first came to this world…your kids and their friends said I was like a big sister. And everyone in Harmony Village is like family to me. I may not understand humans all that well…but I do know family looks after family."

Yukino smiled. "Venusmon…you're right. It's important for family to look out for each other. That's admittedly something I was never very good at. I was always leaving them alone while I was off pursuing my own career selfishly…"

"That's not true."

"How so? Whether it was in this "previous reality" or when Ami was kidnapped, I wasn't there for either of them." Yukino saddened looking down. "I let them down..."

Venusmon floated over and gently put a hand on Yukino's cheek. "Don't say that. You're here with them now, aren't you? You knew this was dangerous and you still tagged along. Because you wanted to support them. Just like family should."

Yukino smiled. "...You're...too kind Venusmon."

Yuki, Satome and their Digimon smiled as they watched before a howl returned their attention to the enemies approaching. "Not to interrupt your golden family moment, but we got more incoming!" Yuki warned. Their Digimon started firing into the sky shooting their targets down one by one as Yukino's sent her bird at them. But more kept coming and they soon hit the ground.

"Darkness Claw!" Beelzemon slashed a DexDorugoramon and BeelStarmon drop kicked a DexDorugamon into a DexDoruGreymon.

"They're too many of them!" Satome gulped. "Should we try to regroup?"

"How? We'll never get word to the others like this." Yuki replied. "Besides, you heard Kiryu and his pals, this is a one-way trip. And I for one accepted that when we came here."

"Yuki...that's right...Kiryu didn't want us to come with him, but I just couldn't let him face danger alone again. Not when I finally know what he's going through and how I can help!"

"You and me both. Not only do we owe the guy a good deal but he's our friend. And its high time he learned to lean on others once in a while. Besides, those two Digimon over there who gave us the chance to fight with him put their faith in us! No way I'm waving the white flag now!"

"We're going to help Kiryu save this world and come home victorious! Together!"

Beelzemon was pushing back two DexDoruGreymon at once while BeelStarmon was trying to pull her arms out of the grip of a DexDorugoramon when they both felt a rush of power. The two of them smirked as BeelStarmon kicked her feet into the DexDorugoramon making it release her and Beelzemon started swinging both DexDoruGreymon around before throwing them into two DexDorugamon. "Not bad." Beelzemon grinned. "So, this is the power of human determination."

BeelStarmon looked at her hand. "Ha. No wounder those Digimon buddying with humans are so damn tough. Well then, I say we put it to good use."

"Damn straight. The Musketeers see their job through. And that job is kicking evil ass!"

"Well then dear brother and our human partners! Let's tango!"

Yuki and Satome noticed their pockets glowing and took out their Digivices. Their screens projected images of them and their Digimon with a set of words. Though they had not clue what was happening, their first thought was to hold their screens forward and shout out. "Beelzemon!"

"BeelStarmon!"

"X-Evolution!" Light flashed out of their Digivices and washed over the two Digimon. They were each encased in a violet egg and started to transform underneath. Beelzemon's cannon arm disappeared along with the silver plates of his armor. His body armor transformed bit by bit with some parts becoming red. His tail grew out as his claws extended. His two wings each split giving him two large blue wings and two smaller ones that were red on the inside. His mask lite on fire turning crimson red. He held his hands out and two red firearms appeared that he took in his hands. The egg shattered and he spun into the air before slamming to the ground holding his new weapons forward. "Beelzemon X!"

BeelStarmon lifted her head as her clothes glowed purple before dissipating into purple particles that flowed around her then converged on different parts of her body taking new shapes. First was a set of boots wrapped in leather belts. Her right thigh was clad in a leather skintight pantleg, but her left thigh was bare. As was her body from her torso to the underside of her chest, but the rest of her upper body was slowly coated in a black top with silver shoulder pads forming. A slightly ruined cape flowed from her back, and she sprouted wings with purple feathers. She closed her eyes as her mask disappeared before being replaced by a new one. It was mostly blue, but it was silver on the left side. A small pistol appeared around her left leg, and she held her hand up as a shotgun appeared. She fired straight up destroying her shell and smirked before twirling her gun and she spun around then held it forward. "BeelStarmon X!"

Yuki and Satome looked at their new Digimon. "BeelStarmon and Beelzemon...transformed..." Satome said in awe.

"So cool!" Yuki grinned. "Those two are looking seriously badass!"

"This is the power of the X-Antibody..." Venusmon exclaimed.

BeelStarmon X grinned looking at herself. "Gotta say, I like my new look!"

"Heh. This power is absolutely bitching!" Beelzemon X smirked before turning to the enemy. "What say we take this new power the humans so graciously gave us for a spin?"

"I thought you'd never ask!" BeelStarmon X's wings spread put and she jetted into a DexDoruGreymon kicking it in the face. She shouted before her other leg whirled around and punted it a good distance.

Beelzemon X aimed his new weapons forward. "Gluttony Flare!" He shot bullets of fire blew holes into multiple targets before they were set ablaze and burned down.

Knives extended from the sides of BeelStarmon X's gun. "Double Claw!" She stabbed into a DexDorugoramon then tore it apart with an upward swing before aiming it at a bunch of arial enemies and taking out the small pistol from the hoister on her leg. "Fly Bullet!" She sent a storm of glowing blue bullets lose mowing down any approaching opposition.

"Look at em go!" Satome smiled.

"Satome, let's divvy up the work." Yuki instructed. "Beelzemon and I will take the ones on the ground, you and BeelStarmon take the ones in the sky."

"Okay." Satome put her hands at the sides of her mouth and hollered. "BeelStarmon, we'll take the fliers and leave the grounders to the boys!"

BeelStarmon X smirked as she flew to her partner. "Sounds good." She put her hand on her partner. "Ready to fly?"

"Wait, what?" Satome shrieked as she was tossed onto BeelStarmon X's shoulder. "Waiiiiiiiiiit!" She screamed as they flew off.

Yuki snickered. "Good to know they're getting along nicely."

Beelzemon X slid back and held his hand towards Yuki. "Stop messing around. Or our little sisters are gonna show us up."

"Well, we certainly can't have that. A big brother's gotta maintain his dignity!" Yuki jumped onto Beelzemon X's hand and was flung onto his shoulder.

"Damn straight." Beelzemon X held his firearms forward. "Double Impact!"

"So, what should we do?" Yukino asked.

"We will stand by to provide healing and support." Venusmon replied. "But I don't think either sibling will think too kindly of us interfering with their little contest."

Yukino giggled. "Siblings just gotta compete, don't they? Before Takumi and Ami's father passed away, those two would always make everything a contest. Running, finishing their homework, eating, you name it."

Venusmon laughed. "I never knew. I bet there are a lot of things you could tell me about those two. If that's alright of course."

Yukino looked at Venusmon with a smile. "Why not? You clearly love those two and their friends. And vice versa. And besides...we're partners now, aren't we? Just like Takumi, Ami and their Digimon."

Venusmon smiled back. "I never thought I'd have a human partner like Terriermon and the others...It feels nice."

BeelStarmon X flew away from the claws of a DexDorugoramon before backing away. Satome only now getting over the shock of suddenly flying activated a CRT Boost. "H-here!"

BeelStarmon X then stopped as all her enemies charged at her in a line. "Perfect." She held her Rizoma de Loto forward. "Distancia Cero!" A loud bang was heard but nobody saw the bullet. All the enemies just stopped each with a bullet hole through the chest before they all exploded.

Beelzemon X jumped back as all of his remaining targets charged at him. "What say we wrap this up?" Yuki asked using a HIT Boost.

"Sounds good to me." Beelzemon X held his Berenjena forward and the Crown of Gluttony glowed in front of them. "Eat this! Seventh Full Cluster!" The two guns fired a golden wave that tore through the remaining opposition with ease. "Heh. Too easy."

BeelStarmon X landed next to her brother and let Satome down who nearly fell over. "I think I've had enough being in the sky today…" the girl mumbled dizzily.

"Aw. But these new wings of mine are just getting warmed up." BeelStarmon X grinned.

"Gotta say, loving this power you runts gave us." Beelzemon X grinned.

"Just help us do what we gotta do, and it's all yours." Yuki smiled jumping off his shoulder.

"I can see that working out."

"Was that the last of them?" Yukino asked.

"Hey, over there!" Nokia shouted as she aproached them.

"Mom!" Takumi and Ami hurried to Yukino.

Kiryu and Omegamon Alter-S landed. "Satome, Yuki, are you alright?"

"We're good, thanks for asking." Yuki smirked.

Kouta looked at Beelzemon X, and BeelStarmon X. "Wow! Did you two Digivolve?"

"Thanks to our new human partners the X-Antibodies kicked in." BeelStarmon replied as more and more of the team aproached.

"Wait, who's that?" Rosemon X asked pointing at Venusmon.

The woman Digimon brushed her hair laughing. "Do I really look that different now?"

Yuuko gasped. "I know that voice…Dacrmon?! When and how did…?!"

"Oh my god, you're gorgeous!" Nokia gleamed. "I mean you were pretty before but wow!"

"Why thank you." Venusmon smiled to Yukino. "I got a gift of power from my new partner too."

"Mom?" Takumi looked at the reporter who paused her Digivice. "You did this?"

"I…guess so…? Darcmon said she felt my feelings…"

"Indeed. And I felt the love you hold for Takumi and Ami." Venusmon clasped her hands together. "And I felt how scared you were to be separated from them. I've seen all sorts of loss and heartache in this reality and the last. It has to end. The pain and sorrow must cease. Humans and Digimon must be allowed to leave peacefully with the ones they love. Those thoughts gave me this power."

"Hey, guys!" Yu shouted as he, Ryuji and Chitoste ran up with their Digimon and Hudiemon.

Keisuke turned around to them. "Guys, you made it! Chitoste, you're Digimon…"

The hacker snickered. "Pretty neat, huh? I mean Hudie has always been a Hacker team fighting for justice. Why not have a knight in shinning armor on our side?"

"You know, we really do make for a good team." Yu smiled looking at their Digimon.

"True." Ryuji smiled. "Something about working alongside these Digimon feels…natural."

"Looks like everyone's accounted for." Kyoko said. "And the enemy has stopped. We can catch our breath a bit."

"Gather around me." Venusmon said. "I will heal everyone's wounds. Healing Therapy." She held her hands out and a green circle expanded from under her and the whole team.

Keisuke looked at Hudiemon. "Eri- He immediately froze realising he shouldn't mention the Digimon's human name in front of her former teammates. "Hudiemon, are you okay?"

"Yeah. And you?"

"I'm good."

Ryuji looked at her. "Hudiemon? That's your name?"

"Yes…why?" Hudiemon asked nervously.

"Our team's name is Hudie."

"Huh, is that right?" Hudiemon tried to play it off cooly.

"…Actually, our fraction of the Resistance is called Hudie's Dream." Justimon said.

"Is that so?" Ryuji asked. "Heh. Is that why we work so well together? Like it was meant to be? It seems like Keisuke's been taking a shine to you guys while in this world."

"Hey, when this is over, we should team up!" Chitoste said. "Think of what we can accomplish together!"

"That sounds like a good idea. We were mentioning earlier that humans and Digimon might be stuck with each other after all this. It'd be a good way to show both sides not to fear each other."

"A collaboration?" Hudiemon looked at the excited smile on Keisuke's face. "Yeah…I think we can work with that…"

As Venusmon started healing everyone, Rosemon X smiled. "Gotta say, this form suits you a lot more then Zhuqiaomon."

"I agree." Yuuko smiled. "That form looks a lot easier to move in."

"You have no idea." Venusmon smiled. "Besides, I'll take the ability to heal overs over the ability to hurt and destroy any day." She finished healing everyone.

Yukino walked up to her daughter and son. "I have to say…I can see why all of you are so attached to your Digimon. They're strong, kind, understanding…I bet your father would have loved to meet them."

"Yeah…" Takumi smiled sadly.

"Maybe in another lifetime he can…" Ami murmured.

"If everyone's healed, we should move." Kiryu said. "I find it convenient and concerning that the wave of enemies suddenly ceased. It seemed like the tree could create an infinite amount of them. So why suddenly stop?"

"Probably figured out that the small fry were no match for us." Koh shrugged with a grin.

"Maybe…" Mameo replied. "Or maybe he's inviting us. Like Kiryu said, this could have been a test. Or an effort to stall us."

"Well, if all of you are good to go, I say let's move so we can find out which." Shiki replied. "Luche is waiting for us." Everyone nodded.

Shoma looked ahead. "Wait…look!" He pointed towards where the Mountain of Infinity was. It was covered in black.

"Is that the mountain?" Satome asked.

"Somethin' ain't right with it…" Fei said.

Takumi and Ami put their goggles on and zoomed in. "No way…!" Takumi gasped. The giant Malevolent Tree was covering the mountain with black roots. "The tree has…completely overtaken the mountain!"

"A sign that it is growing in power no doubt." Craniamon X replied. "We're running out of time."

"Let's go!" Keisuke said. "We need to stop that thing now before it's too late!"

"Alright!" Takuto said leading the charge. "Just a little further! Let's roll!"

Wasn't gonna end this without giving Beelzemon and BeelStarmon their X-Antibody forms. If anyone is wondering why I gave Shakkoumon ChaosGallantmon, it's because I used Vikemon in previous stories and CHaosGallantmon is something Shakkoumon can become in Cyber Sleuth, so I decided to mix it up. As for Venusmon, I thought it would be a form fitting for a caring, motherly Digimon like Darcmon and the partner of a loving mother.

Anyway, next week, next year, the fight with the tree ya in 2025.
