Over at the City, King was guiding the way to somewhere as Riku and the Sneasel brothers take the moment to accept what is considered normalcy. Terra, in comparison, is keeping watch with Cadet and Obstagoon. The younger of the keybearers put his hands behind his head and advised. "Lighten up, if we haven't got jumped two blocks back, we're not going to get jumped anytime soon."

Terra sighed. "You can't be too careful, the longer something doesn't happened, the more likely it will." Riku considered it pretty sound advise. "Especially if it's a city like this one. People are going about a daily life that doesn't lose it's core charm. Someone will try to mess it up out of spite."

Slowking reached an intersection and turned right, he looked up before slowing. (We're about there guys. Keep your heads up.) Riku smiled to that as Terra recalled what was asked. "What were you wanting to talk about?" The boy remembered with some guilt. "It's about these guys, you weren't on board to the idea either?" Terra had to be frank. "Not really, especially when we know what those scumbags are capable of doing if they know we're friends with these guys." Riku was in complete agreement. "They always pick on someone who can't fight back because they know if they pick a fight with someone bigger then they are, they'll lose. Slowpoke got me to stop complaining, but... it still shouldn't have to have come down to impressing me."

He felt bitter about himself as Raz snickered casually. (If you were going to hold us back, why would we bring you along?) Darter cringed at the audacity as Riku felt a smack to the face. "We're together because we can help each other and then some." He thought about Sora, Donald and Goofy. "You won't believe who says stuff like that."

The Sneasel brothers have an idea but chose not to say anything. Terra felt the optimism and confessed. "They grow a lot faster than we thought they would. Once they do, everyone who's got something to say would start shutting up." Riku laughed. "And these guys are still not done growing." He blew out. "We're not done growing, if we ever think that we're only fooling ourselves."

That brought the idea into Terra, why Aqua is so keen on learning more. Even in spite of her position being of a high rank. They stopped at a building and found King looking up, finding an alien looking down on him and waving. Slowking waved back and turned. (Alright, we're here. We just need to get up.) He asked sheepishly. (Riku, do you mind? I think you and the brothers can get up on your own.)

Riku doesn't and called Slowking back. "We'll let you out as soon as we're up. You've been great." He snapped a finger to the brothers, went to an alley way and demonstrated wall jumping, something the brothers are quite agile with. That impressed the bigger group and Cadet gave it a try, not quite making the mark with a jump as Terra advised with a fast. "Use your psychic power to control those jumps!" He turned to the dark type. "Obstagoon, if you doubt you can do that, use your claws on the bricks."

The rough neck smirked and went to climbing, impressing Terra as they made their ascent. Once they were up, Terra performed a series of wall jumps and caught up with Riku and the Sneasel brothers. The boy let Slowking out and let him saw hello to the alien known as Elgyem, the bird known as Tranquil and the cautious cat known as Delcatty. King asked the stranger. (So, Elgyem. You've spotted any other pokemon around this area? We need directions.) The Elgyem blinked his fingers as his partners were lining up. (We'll tell you, only if you can catch us!)

The alien and cat braced for a challenge as the bird turned around blankly and jumped at the realization. Riku knew what he was looking at and ordered fast. "Raz, Darter, keep by King and wait for the order!"

The three were on it and lined up for the match, Riku knew enough mischievous critters and commanded. "Darter, fake the Elgyem out while Raz blows icy wind! King, water pulse that psychic type!"

Darter rushed for a fake out clap as the Delcatty faked Raz out, Tranquill taunted the Slowking that fired a water pulse at the psychic. The alien shook off the damage and looked weary enough that Riku tossed a pokeball at it. In three shakes, the psychic was taken out of the equation. Raz took the chance to blow an icy wind against the remaining two as Riku clapped. "So far so good, King focus on the bird while Darter gives that cat a rock smash!"

Slowking was on it as Raz rushed at Delcatty and delivered a rock smash punch, sending her in a roll as the Tranquill let loose an air cutter and sent the brothers back with some super lucky critical blows. Delcatty sprinted after Darter for a double edge blow that sent him on a roll as King blasted Tranquill with a water pulse. The bird was left confused and Riku took the chance to flow to a nearby vent and toss a ball at the birds back. Leaving a dazed Delcatty by herself, King saw she was about to fall over and stood in the way for the Sneasel brothers to escape and circle around. Delcatty let loose a disarming voice to get the three to back off and Riku sneaked to her side and tossed an ultra ball. It shook three times and gave a click, ending that conflict rather smoothly.

The brothers were sore from that brawl and gave each other a high five and gave one for the Slowking. Riku picked up the three balls and let out the Elgyem that was a bit shaken by how quick that went. "Not bad of a fight. Now, would you explain what you know?"

The alien nodded and hovered to the street way and pointed to a particularly purple building with a crooked floor close to the top and having that be supported by a few pillars. (While we were hiding up here, we've found a odd looking Growlithe that has befriended a strange man. They traveled together back home and we've seen flames with in that building.) He turned to ask. (Perhaps they can lead us to another clue?)

Slowking hummed and nodded. (They might, we'll be heading over there soon.) The alien nodded and warned the group. (Be warned, the human isn't very competent as a supposed scientist.)

He laughed as Slowking promised. (We'll be careful.) King looked over to Riku and let him call back the Elgyem while relaying the conversation. The boy asked. "Another Growlithe?" The Sneasel brothers nodded to each other. Raz brought up. (A strange looking one? Darter, you're thinking what I'm thinking?) The brother nodded. (That one that are pretty rare these days.) He tapped his head. (Hard heads.)

Riku could tell by the body language and didn't bother reading the Dex. "You guys know of another and it could be that." Slowking felt it was possible. "It is and I think the Dex ought to tell us more if we want to look." Riku waved a hand. "I'll do it later, there's more than one kind of the same pokemon and it could be a chance to give it a try since I didn't take that other one with me." Terra was getting a bit confused. "Are you talking to each other?"

Riku nodded and knocked himself on the head. "This the first time someone talks through this and isn't trying to kill me."

Obstagoon laughed to that as Cadet was impressed, Riku recalled. "I heard Growlithe can turn into a really strong pokemon, but between Flutter Mane and Xurkitree, I didn't want to fill up. If this Growlithe is an alternative, then it could be a surprise that we should try out." He and Slowking gave each other a thumbs up. He called his starter back, let the Sneasel brothers climb on him and descended down. Cadet glowed and used his power to jump over the edge and land as Terra and Obstagoon climbed down the old fashion way.

The band hurried to the building they saw and made for the parking lot, they saw the door way and looked up to find a logo that gave the vibe of a jingle.

"Doofenshmirtz Evil Inc."

The band gasped as they realize this is a logo for an evil lair and charged in, hurrying to an elevator that brought them to the top. Riku asked out loud. "Why is this out in plain sight?!" Terra shrugged. "This isn't fooling anyone." Obstagoon laughed to that. (So, we gonna mess this guy up?)

Terra knew that was a wish to commit violence and breathed deeply. "*Huff!* First things first, we'll hear what he has to say and if he's going to do anything to hurt somebody, we'll put a stop to it. Watch out if he's trying to paint someone as a bad guy, that's how they get you." Riku gave credit to the senior. "Noted!"

Ding!

The elevator reached it's destination near the top floor and the band hurried through a simple office door. Suddenly a collection of clamps reached out to Terra and grabbed him by the torso, or they would if they were anywhere big. They only succeeded in grabbing him by the arm. A brown haired scientist approached and placed down what looked to be a fluffier looking Growlithe, the scientist was surprised by the new faces. "Hey, you guys aren't Perry!" Riku brought his blade out as Terra tried pulling the clamp loose. "Sorry, we weren't invited. What are you doing?!"

The grown up looked around to realize they're not in much of an evil lair, beyond parts of a machine that wasn't even built yet. Doofenshmirtz pressed a button on a remote, letting Terra go. "It's a long story and I don't got time to explain before my Arch Nemesis comes along to thwart my plans for the day. You're all unexpected, so would you just stand there for a minute. It would surprise him just long enough."

Terra opened his mouth at the sheer audacity and looked over to Riku and the others to find that much of a surprised. As he was about to say something, a Platypus with a fedora rolled in through an open window and readied for a show down of the day. He was surprised by the various strangers as the scientist waved. "Hello, Perry the Platypus. As usual your timing is impeccable and by impeccable, I mean-" He pressed a button on a back up remote, bringing out a net that scooped the Platypus up. "Completely peccable!"

The band were about to react as the Growlithe approached Perry and gave him a welcoming bark. Doofenshmirtz was ready to press the button again. "That slowed you down." Blip! The trap turned and let Perry go, the Platypus was just as confused as the band as Doofenshmirtz apologized for his absence. "I'd suppose you're wondering what happened to the plan from yesterday and the day before that?"

He went to pet the Growlithe. "Well, I was just minding my own business, buying things for my latest inator after at funnel opened up, when I found this boy getting lost on the street. Couldn't let him get run over and he doesn't like rain so I tried to put a leash on him and everything, but he kept barking a bunch of fire and well-" He admitted. "He's pretty friendly if you can watch out for the fire."

He pointed at Riku. "You there, come say hello, he doesn't bite." The teenager was so blasted in the mind that he did just that without much thinking, all the while Perry looked to a machine that wasn't even built yet. The Growlithe wagged his tail and let the Platypus pet him, Doofenshmirtz realize something and asked the visitors. "Now, what brought you guys into my lair? Does it have anything to do with the funnels?"

Riku felt his mind slowly recover as Terra looked a bit nervous. "Yeah, that funnel was how this Growlithe and several other creatures like him, got stuck in this city. They're called Pokemon and we've came to try and get them somewhere safer before they end up getting hurt."

Obstagoon was a little disappointed and grunted to the Sneasel Brothers. (They'd got into a rough one with some hide-a-ways.) Terra gestured. "This is Obstagoon and that-" he addressed the Cadet that was calming down. "is the Cadet, Armarouge. They're pokemon as well." He crossed his arms and asked. "You're this Doofenshmirtz guy? I'm guessing because you're normally up to something, you started to expect that someone was wanting to check on you in case that was part of a diabolical plan or something?"

Doofenshmirtz pointed over to the trap. "Yeah, those traps are built for Platypuses over people. You got anything to prove that there's more of these guys around here?"

Riku does and sent out King, a Xurkitree that was astonished by the new sight and an Elgyem that realized where he's in and freaked out. (I didn't mean bring us straight to him!)

Riku felt his brain working again and insist. "Hey he's the first one to have told us everything we needed to know." He imagined how embarrassing this is going to be. "We need time to take this in." He gasped to an idea. "Hey, Doofenshmirtz. I know a way you can help us." He brought out his phone and turned on the Dex App. "You were obviously, going to use this junk to make some doomsday device or something. But how about we use this to pin point where some pokemon might be. With some data, we can make it work."

The scientist thought about it and aha'd. "I got the most brilliant name for this one!" He went to gather his building supplies as Terra was feeling a spark in his brain working. "One condition, it's going to be used for this and once we catch everything we can find in this city, we'll be leaving with them. Don't try anything funny."

Doofenshmirtz had his hands so occupied that he couldn't even cross his fingers if he wanted to. "Fine, fine. But I need some extra muscle to get this built in an hour. You have anymore strong arms?" Terra sent out Ursaring and Primeape for the task at hand. "Come on, we got something to build."

After an hours montage.

The keybearing duo and their partners looked rather satisfied at something covered in a tarp. Doofenshmirtz himself was quite proud of the accomplishment. "That was easy." He grabbed the tarp "Now-" Pull! "behold!" and revealed backpack with a satellite dish and a radar screen. "The Poketrackinator! Using that data you've given me, this should locate any of these critters with in a hundred miles, then once we figure out what they are. You can go do what you need to do."

Riku honestly liked the name and Perry was giving a look that asked. (Who's going to be carrying that?)

Doofenshmirtz put the pack on and turned it on, making the radar reach out and make a distinct noise. While that is happening, Terra whispered to Riku. "Hey, can we huddle for a minute?" They hid behind a petered out Ursaring. "Are we seriously going to bring him along?"

The boy doesn't see why not. "If we put that on and we have to fight, it would get smashed before we got to use it. So someone has to carry it, like it or not. Anyone who flat out tells us that he's normally a bad guy, is honest enough to not have anything else planned. Besides, we've helped build that thing." That was a point that Terra had to consider. "So, we're going to have to protect him for now?"

Riku nodded. "Yeah, we're likely to find pokemon that aren't anymore dangerous that that Growlithe over there. But we never go this long without something throwing monsters our way. Speaking of which-" He stood up pretty content and went over to the eager scientist. "Hey, before we go. You figured out that using a leash isn't going to work on Growlithe, but we do have a way to keep him out of danger while he helps us."

He brought out a pokeball. "Just put him in one of these and he'll be good." Doofenshmirtz gasped and realized as he was feeling pretty encumbered. "You look like you know how he can use that fire. If you're going to be taking him at the end of the day anyways, then you ought to do it."

Riku nodded and stepped away while signaling Darter. "Alright, let's get to catching another!" The white Sneasel walked over as the eager Growlithe made a distance and readied for a fight. The boy ordered. "Taunt and go for a rock smash!"

Darter gestured a taunt, irritated the Growlithe that was going to howl and sprinted for a rock smash punch, the dog yelped, leaped back and charged head first, smashing into Darter and sending him skidding. Riku used the chance for a back attack throw with a humble pokeball. It took the dog in and shook three times. Click! It was a pretty simple capture, but that move wasn't expected. The boy picked it up and let out the canine that barked happily. Riku blushed in good will and focused two balls on the Elgyem and Xurkitree. "Now that he's on the team. You guys come back in here and wait until we're done."

The alien nodded as the Ultra Beast wiggled his arms, they were called back as Terra took the chance to look up the Growlithe. "Growlithe: The Scout Pokemon: Hisuian. Fire/Rock. They patrol their territory in pairs. The rock components of it's fur are the results of volcanic activity in it's habitat."

Ursaring perked at a name. (Hisuian?!) Terra pressed a button to give a read on the Growlithe present and saw all the answers to a question. "Heads up, this Growlithe might be more different from the other one." He read out the ability. "Rock head! He has the moves, Flamethrower, helping hand, howl and head smash. One of the strongest rock moves you can ask for with a heavy recoil."

Riku remembered the ability. "And rock head soaks that up? Cool!" He let Growlithe keep by his leg as Doofenshmirtz turned on the radar and used a screen to find any blips. There were six distinct ones. One getting close to a blip in the north west. One close to the north. Two at the far east and a final one south of the city "Two of them are pretty close together."

Riku found that convenient and lead the way out. "That's not a coincidence, but let's take advantage of that! Everyone, move out!"

At the Backyard.

The union of the rescue teams, girl scouts and boy geniuses looked up in pride of a contraption they've built together. A sign post with a flat, red and white pokeball logo rotating around. Kairi had a sweat as Quill and Pidgeot flew around for a final inspection and descended down. Sora looked up in admiration as Phineas explained the rest of the plan. "Now we just gotta wait."

The band did so and kept hidden for good measure, with some help of an invisibility spell. In a few minutes, a large, pink wing butterfly with a black cranium, a black abdomen and a white torso fluttered by. The upper wings had a distinct pattern of blue squares close to the body and he looked up to find the logo mesmerizing and gave a twirl. Leon readied a quick ball, looked around to find no one else coming at the moment and sneaked behind the butterfly to line up his toss.

Fling! Tap! Click!

Leon sprinted to pick the ball up and whispered. "Worked like a charm, Vivillon's kind of a special pokemon."

He returned to hiding as Pidgeot flew to the beacon and had fun with spinning around. He spotted something on the side walk, a light orange terrier with a dark blue back and a face of light tan that resembles a mustache and eyebrow set. "Chirp!" (We got a Herdier heading over here. Let's make him feel invited.)

Crinoid wiggled over to the fence door and creaked it open, bringing the curiosity of the Herdier that slowly entered the yard. He smelled around in suspicion and picked up a particular scent, heading direction to Kairi, who knew what the dog was finding and turned off the spell. Allowing the Herdier to see her with those puppy dog eyes, he barked and wagged his tail. Kairi couldn't help herself and crouched to pet the dog. "You followed the sign Herdier." She brought out a great ball and asked. "We're going to need you to be in this for now. You'll be out of this place soon."

The dog hummed, smelled honesty and gave a deep ruff.

Tap!

That capture went about as painless as expected. Pidgeot spotted something crawling out of the woods, a very curious giant beaver. Caw! (We got a big one, a Bibarel.) Kairi whispered. "We got a Bibarel coming."

She snapped her fingers to dispel the invisibility spell as Leon is figuring out. "We're not dealing with any aggressive pokemon any time soon."

Waddle! Waddle!

Squeezing through the door was the Bibarel that was looking up the sign post in a marvel. He could tell this was a recent construction and looked around. (Hey, can I have a word with however thought about? It's a marvel.)

Phineas had a bit of pity for the hard working rodent. "You really are a giant beaver!" He and Ferb approached as Leon explained. "That's Bibarel, they're pretty hard workers in the wild and have had jobs as construction workers in certain parts of the world beyond the wormhole."

Bibarel blushed. (Shucks, was this finished a few minutes ago?) Azu answered proudly. (Just about and it took around an hour with everyone helping out.) She gave Phineas and Ferb credit. (They've made bigger things in this back yard too ya know.)

Ferb was getting a net ball ready as Phineas asked pure heartedly. "Hey, we're helping on a mission and we're thinking if you want to be in this ball. Do you got friends somewhere?"

Bibarel tilt his head left and right. (Well, some Valiant helped us get settled in for a Play Area that we've been holding out at. We've been watching you build that thing for a while.) Azu found that a familiar name. (Valiant?) Kairi gasped. "Valiant?!"

Leon and Sora felt a serious tension, the youngster let out Vivillon, who gave a twirl and recognized Bibarel. (Hey, you know what's going on?) Bibarel nodded. (They have a way for us to get out of this town. Hopefully to a place that will have some work for us.) Vilvillon sighed and patted him on the head. (It's always work with you.) Bibarel wondered. (Maybe Furret and Psyduck ought to hear about this too.)

Azu heard the names and smiled. (It's a big project that could take a while. But I know pokemon that find that fun of its own.) She let Kairi know they have a task a foot, Bibarel thought of an idea that would be quite productive. (If you're offering to help, then I can lead ya to the play room. There's a bunch of questions that we need to get to asking.)

He went over to the net ball and tapped on it willingly, allowing himself to be captured. Pidgeot saw something glimmering in the woods south of the house and flew off the post. He looked around in a scout and waited. (I'm not seeing anyone around.) He looked down to caw. (I'll go check this out while you lot follow!)

Flap!

Phineas let out the Bibarel and knew. "I think that's about all of them, let's head on to the south."

"Phineas, what are you doing?!"

Hurrying from the back door of a house, was a teenage, older sister with long orange hair and a red dress, looking to be at the end of her sanity. "Oh, hi Candice. We're about to head off to an adventure with these busy guys. You want to come with us?"

Candice brought out a phone and was giving a firm scolding of defiance. "Nu uh! When I tell mom, you two are so gonna be busted! Busted, busted, busted!"

Sora, Kairi and the pokemon flinched at something going way too far and Leon simply swiped the phone away. "Hold it, hold it, hold it!"

Candice turned fast to see a youngster with an irritated scowl. "Listen clear, your brothers have been helping us find some lost creatures that really need to be out of this area. We've had an exception with this Furfrou but we can't afford having more stay around. I don't want to talk about the details, but if they're not gone by sundown, someone is going to get hurt. Either because of them or because of someone getting ideas. Shutting this down, right now, would do nothing to help them, us or this town."

Candice was feeling her consciousness catching up to her and she shifted her eyes away, Leon saw that and sighed. "If you give us an hour at most to finish exploring. We'll be done and gone, you won't have to worry about anyone knowing what this is and you can go back to your day. Okay?"

The typical teenager hesitated for a moment before waving her hands in defeat. "Fine, fine." Leon gave Candice her phone back, expecting a catch that the girl warned the lot about. "But Mom's going to be back in two, got that?"

Leon understood and hurried to the fence gate. "Get worried if it's longer than an hour." He signaled to the rather vast group, getting ready to leave Candice to pout in an attitude.

After few call backs, the band headed over to the woods to find what ever mystery Pidgeot and Bibarel have uncovered. Sora and Kairi were left thinking and the princess gave the youngster where it was due. "Nice save back there."

Leon had quite the serious pout. "There's a time and place for everything, but a bust right when we're about to be finished here is not one of those times. Not when we still got pokemon to rescue. If this is the last spot, then we'd be back to clean up in less than half the time we were given." He smiled to the brothers. "We were lucky to have had some geniuses when we did."

The teenagers agreed as Kairi remembered. "Speaking of which, there might be one pokemon I spotted that might be back here." The Rotom Phone was given a fast download and it caused the device to flash an exclamation point. Leon gasped. "Iron Bundle? Was that the thing that jetted into the sky?"

Kairi nodded as Sora asked his girlfriend. "He wasn't acting straight and he attacked you the moment he saw the Keyblade. How are we going to catch him?" Kairi had one benefit to her mind. "I know the type now, I think I just need to approach it differently and get him in the ball."

Leon checked the stats, saw a particular weakness and advised. "Shooter and Crinoid have the kind of moves you'd want to use. But be careful when going against certain ice types, they normally don't do much against water type pokemon but they could have a move that is quite effective against them. This is far more powerful than a Delibird can ever hope to be, so resort to Crinoid if you have to."

Biven looked over and beeped. (What kind of move are we talking about?) Leon felt what was said. "It's called freeze dry, it's a pretty average ice move on it's own and it's capable of freezing your pokemon." The due knew by the name, why that would be effective against a water type and Azu bounced. (Thankfully, not a lot of ice pokemon can even learn that move.) She tapped Leon on the leg. (Thanks for the tip.)

Biven caught a familiar glimmer and rolled ahead of the youngsters, reaching a pond that had a beaver dam, Bibarel hurried behind him and helped reveal a crystal pillar with a cave way and Pidgeot looking on with caution. Phineas ohed. "Cool!"

Isabella raised a brow and looked inside to find a gray fog at the other end of a cave. "If I don't know better, this is going to take us to some different dimension or something." Buford shrugged. "Eh! Seen weirder."

Kairi flinched at how casual that was and hurried to stand in the way. "Hold it, hold it! We've been traveling to places with this and they always lead to somewhere that can get pretty dangerous from what our contacts have said." She smirked and clenched a fist. "I've heard of the pokemon that might be in there, safeguarding some of the others, but be careful when you see something robotic or prehistoric. Okay?"

Phineas looked to his brother. "Sounds pretty mystical, doesn't it?" Ferb second that. "We're about to delve into the unknown." Azu lead the way in. (Thankfully, if Bibarel came in and out of there, then it's got to be safe enough to visit. Don't wander off anywhere without our say so, because I'll get really upset.)

Pidgeot whistled as the rabbit lead the way in. Pidgeot, Biven and the guardians kept guard of the rear, with Kilokilo having her senses pick up from behind. Across the mist, was the inside of a play club, blocked by an ice rink that is a few slides away deeper in. Kairi and Sora simply cast freezing spells to make ice blocks, each youngster slide one and a time while Biven rolled cautiously and avoided sharp turns. With each arrival, came the notice of a Furret that wiggled out of a ball pit in the left path and hurried around a Psyduck that is keeping his head ache in check. With two passage ways at the end, leading into what looked to be the outside world, composing of a pond and a river ride. Approaching from the pond way is the silver Valiant, earning some attention from the brothers as Baljeet gasped. "Such an elegant design!"

The Valiant blushed awkwardly as Biven gasped and hurried to him. (Hey, we heard about you from Bibarel. Were you sent out here by our Lady?) The robot nodded. (Yep, things were getting a bit ugly out there and since she can't interfere, she thought it be best to send the next best thing.)

Waddle!

Valiant half turned to find a nervous Bundle standing by him. The robotic Delibird was intrigued by the crowd at first and looked up to recognize Kairi and Azu. He jumped and hid behind the Valiant in a panic, the taller robot looked down to him in a scold. (Come on, don't you have something to say?) The Bundle cringed and stepped back into view. (Um... I got carried away back there.) Azu had a strange smile. (No kidding,) She showed a rather furious face. (Don't do that again, we're trying to rescue those pokemon and we don't need to be shot at.) Kairi and Sora took the que to not conjure up their blades as Phineas noticed something. "You three look like you're part of a line up, how did you all get built?"

"I made them."

The group turned to find a mysterious blonde woman that Sora and Kairi have encountered before. The boy recalled the attire perfectly as Kairi saw the hair to be near identical to the Scientist disguise. The strange woman closed her left eye and waved before giving Biven a petting. "Just to make things clear, Palírroias wasn't suppose to be out there until after I've you guys get to work on catching those pokemon and once I'm certain that any dark forces that wander over here are expunged. Luck just so happened to pick a very low maintenance region for a wormhole to spill over into."

Kairi raised a brow. "Are you serious about this?" The stranger smiled nervously. "Since I'm not in costume, I'm about as serious as I'm going to get. If things went right, you're trial would have brought you to the rapids that are just out there. But since some bystanders are dragged into this, I've improvised."

That's about as truthful as it sounds, Sora realized a few set of words. "Dark forces wandering over here? Are we ahead of them?" The lady had a T.V show case the pond they visited. "You were but they find ways to adapt and plan around this. Only a hand's worth of you have any business for what's to come, but I have a plan to deliver the message that they aren't going to be allowed to just do what ever they want."

A dark ripple opened at the pond in the outside world, bringing about a giant purple octopus that Sora was familiar with and a horned lich in a red robe. Looking around for something and noticing the entrance to the labyrinth. The woman took a button and caused a collection of turrets to descend from the sky. Orange pipes descended down as a purple pipe ascended. She advised the girl scouts and the strange due of a typical bully and the smaller geek. "Above and bellow should lead you to some... equipment that will let you lend a hand while saying clear and out of the way. Who ever is taking the bellow job will figure out the... surprise. Everyone else, take a pokeball and be ready to fight back!"

The Fireside Girls hurried into what is disguised as a play area as Leon had an idea. "We have just the pokemon for the job. Sora, Kairi, we'll need Chansey, Ivysaur, Monferno and Frogadier for this." He closed his right eye and tossed the Monferno's ball to Baljeet. As much as Buford was looking forward to beating someone up, he realize. "We're about to fight some serious dudes, aren't we?"

Sora nodded. "Kind of, that octopus can be an issue, but compared to that Horned guy." He cringed as the Horned King conjured a small army of skeletal specters and cloaked ghosts. Kairi shared her advise. "Bad news, a Necromancer." Buford cringed. "High end witchcraft!"

Leon tossed him the Ivysaurs ball as Ferb was given the Frogadier. Leon had his phone get ready. "We really don't got the time, so I'll just be quick on what these three are good at doing." Chansey hurried to Isabella, who had a scheme and went down the pipe. "Chansey, you support the dudes up here, I'll go see what kind of toys we got bellow!"

The Lady was impressed as she asked. "Valiant, Bundle. Keep to the cover and go loose on anything coming in." She asked Furret and Psyduck. "You two, are going to need to be captured now." Kairi and Sora hurried, with a net ball and a luxury ball as Biven turned to the rink and rolled up. His creator whispered. "There's something of use down the rapids that will spell a lot of trouble if these villains get their hands on it." Fling! Tap! Tap! "I'll step in more if it's needed, but you all can handle this."

Sora and Kairi let out the two pokemon that were eager to get around Phineas and Ferb, along with the simple minded Bibarel. Pidgeot ascended as Sora let out Snowball and Kairi, Shooter and Crinoid. Leon let out Pueo and signaled him to hide in the shadows. "Now, Ivysaur, Monferno and Frogadier are special pokemon, but they specialize in something that can turn this battle around. Let's start with-"

Back at the City.

Riku and Terra were heading to a beacon going to a particular convenience store when they and their squad were beset by boarish soldiers, cross bow buzzards and a duo of hulking shield wielding warriors with features akin to rhinos. Their shields have faces looking akin to a dragons maw. Terra recognized the eyes squinted downard and the green flames radiating out. "These are unversed?!" He had Cadet ready a mystical fire for one of the Rhinonaughts as he applied a weak bio spell for Ursaring and allowed Obstagoon to hold onto the flame orb. Riku pointed at the other. "King, use future sight and set up a chilly reception! Growlithe, once Raz and Darter help out with those Crozzards, use howl."

The Slowking focused on the Rhinonaught and made a run for it as the Boar Troops made a rush for him and the Cadet. Terra sprinted after them and unleashed a wide cleave as Darter leaped after a Crozzard taking aim at Doofenshmitz, faked it out and followed with a poison jab. Raz leaped just as high and unleashed a spinning icy wind as Riku danced around explosive flame blasts and warped around to catch a flock in a stun locking slash. Perry sneaked behind a Rhinonaught and gave it a distracted kick as Obstagoon and Ursaring had the guts to sprint at the other. Obstagoon went for the shield and pushed it across with a facade punch as Ursaring went to the unversed side and deliver a facade kick that sent it in a spin.

Primeape in comparison was using rock tomb to knock a Crozzard down and lunged for an ice punch. Growlith let loose a howl that empowered the pack and Riku ordered. "Raz, Darter, go for the other big guy. One of you try to knock that shield off while the other goes for the legs!"

Raz leaped on his brother's shoulder and smacked the Rhinonaught on the shield, throwing it off and taking a shield bash as Darter went for the side and gave a firm rock smash punch that exposed a dent for a poison jab. Riku followed with Growlithe. "Cook the birds with flamethrower!" The dog did so as Cadet leaped over the foot soldiers and bombarded them rapidly in psyshock rocks. King gave off a bad joke and caused the air to chill in embarrassment. He retreated into his ball and Riku took out a dusk ball and toss it high. "Flutter Mane, it's on you!"

Fling! Pop!

Out came a Flutter Mane that twirled to the sky and watch a future sight blast the weaken Rhinonaught to where the boy was able to finish it off with a stab to the forehead. She focused upon the dwindling Crozzards, dashed for one and wrapped it in her hair before giving a vampiric kiss. She watch Perry use Ursaring as a platform and joined him in attacking another. Using a rapid firing thunder bolt as the Platypus disrupted the firing formation.

Terra and Primeape rushed at the battered Rhinonaught, the monkey delivered a low kick as the human went for the unverses back and cleaved it in two. The veteran turned to the confused Boar Troops, turned his blade into a launcher and fired with the Cadet. Riku glimmered in light and rushed through the flock in off sync to the Flutter Mane bombarding with shadow balls. The battle was over with and Doofenshmirtz got out of hiding. "Sheesh, so who are these weirdos?"

Riku kept with an even pace as he felt a dark air lingering on. "I think this is something one of our villains is making. Out of her own spite." Flutter Mane blew to the air. (Pathetic.) Raz looked up to the ghost and snickered. (Not when you're down at our level. But it's nothing a pack can't take down.) The Flutter Mane twirled to fly to the parking lot. (Especially with a radiant aid such as I.) Riku was sensing that attitude of arrogance. "Hey, don't get cocky. That's a good way to start making stupid mistakes and getting just enough time to regret that, if you're lucky."

The group were in view of the parking lot and were about to enter as the Flutter Mane turned and floated backwards. (And where suppose did you learn that? Experience perhaps?) Riku's eyes widen at the sly remark. "What do you think?"

The Flutter Mane smirked and turned around, a floating purple witch appeared before her, had a crossed face and shrieked. (Hey that's rude! Who do you think you are to be saying that to him?) The Flutter Mane asked in confidence. (It's the truth though, isn't it?)

Riku knew a Mismagius when he sees one and watched her puff up her cheeks. The ghost barked at the prehistoric counterpart. (So, how you like it if someone makes fun of you over bad choices you stopped doing? Huh?) That caused the Flutter Mane to pause in her arrogance and think about it, Raz recognized the ghost and waved. (So you went looking for a dusk stone after all? We've been worried about you.)

The Mismagius turned to a familiar voice and breathed out nervously. (Thank goodness, you guys are here.) She flew straight to Riku and spoke fast. (Listen, a lot of bad things are going to happen if you go over there! My boss has been nothing but awful and has been trying to snatch pokemon and strong looking dudes for something biiig.) She pleaded desperately. (I want out of that, get me an escape or something, please!)

Obstagoon asked bluntly. (Your boss?!) He realized and put a paw to his forehead. (Bloody-) The Obstagoon's reaction gave Riku time to put a few things together and flinch in terror. "Oooooh boy."

He went to get the next best ball to use in broad daylight, least one fitting for a helpful banshee. A luxury ball. "This should do the trick to get you away from her." Toss! Bounce! The ball bounced off the witch and did nothing. ... Mismagius is panicing with tears in her eyes. (Hooo no! Come on you got to try another one!) Riku tried a dusk ball. It didn't work. An ultra ball didn't work.

As the boy and the ghost were getting more despearate, Raz looked on top of the building to find a sprite of green giving an aura akin to an angry dark eye. The Sneasel cringed. (Incoming!) Perry pushed Doofenshmirtz back as Terra and his heavy weights got Riku and his small ones out of range of a bolt blast. Flutter Mane pushed the Mismagius forward and locked sharp eyes with an eye that took the form of a rather enraged Maleficent that tapped a scepter "You dare to try and escape me?"

and cause the little witch to be warped to her as a green bolt. The ghost squeaked in mortal terror as Riku was feeling like he was in a nightmare, Doofenshmirtz ohed and pointed at the witch. "So that's why you boys are trying to catch them all?" Maleficent rolled her eyes at the obvious statement. "How oh so observant."

Terra was ready to send out his remaining two pokemon and demanded. "Maleficent, let that Mismagius go. She doesn't want anything to do with this!" The dark fae smirked to the keybearer. "And what fun would that be? She will learn her place soon in due time. Once they are bound by the orb, they are but an instrument to your every whim." Riku rolled his eyes and was ready to send King back out. "Of course you would think that."

He sent out the Slowking. "King, we're going to need help!" Maleficent knew a plan was being made and she readied a spell. "Now that you're here, I shall put an end to this game in one fell swoop!" Slowking gave a glow and shifted his gaze at Terra, the grown up felt a voice ring in his head. "Testing, testing 123. Can you answer from your head?" Terra relayed as he watched the green fire rise. "Yeah, do you got a plan?" Riku thought. "If the ball doesn't work, we'll have to break the one Maleficent is using on Mismagius. Surviving this is more important though. Switch those guys out for Kleavor and put that stone ax to work." He added in. "While Donphan attacks wide, keep Primeape out, his aggression can help with bigger targets." He and Terra gave each other a mental high five as the grown up finished the plan up. "We'll pick off which ever looks more dangerous while you try to get up there."

A dark barrier formed around the exit ways as a horde of the Boar Troops, Crozzards and Rhinonaughts appeared in greater numbers. Leading them are a duo of rocky minotaurs with manes of wild grass. Terra called three of his partners back. "Cadet, Ursaring, Obstagoon, come back!"

Pew!

He tossed two balls out. "Donphan, Kleavor, keep by Primeape." The ape watched the cheerful elephant and the prideful Kleavor by his side before looking to the witches forces and stomping in a rising temper. The Donphan saw what was going on and kicked the dirt as Kleavor show cased how heavy he is, Terra gave a whistle. "Primeape, wait for the que and go bananas!" The ape pumped himself up as Riku picked Growlithe up and leaped across one of the Titans, with the Sneasel brothers and Flutter Mane following behind. King is keeping a distance by a cautious Doofenshmirtz and watched his squad reach the higher platform.

The three were ready to land and Maleficent charged up a point blank firaga, Mismagius cringed as Raz and Riku felt the charging heat. The boy channeled a glow of light and warped his band away from a blast, landing by the street and to face a Titan that is accompanied by the lesser minions. Terra and Kleavor hurried to rush into the swarm and shake the earth apart, spreading jagged stones across and keeping the second Titan distracted as Primeape rushed a Rhinonaught to apply a freezing ice punch.

Donphan gave a rapid spin roll and ran over the Boar Troops in a roll out as Riku kept himself calm and focus. "King, yawn the big guy so he can get distracted!" King did so and made the Titan drowsy, the unversed shot vines from his back and smacked Riku and his squad around as the Slowking followed with a future sight. The giant dozed off asleep as Maleficent focused on the band that was an immediate concern to her forces, having the Mismagius assist her in a double thunderbolt. Flutter Mane smirked to a plan, flew in the way as part of a dance and fired a thunder bolt of her own to make the bolts collide. Maleficent paid heed to that impact and warped to the side to channel a whirl wind of power as Mismagius was a lot less hesitate to fire a shadow ball at the spirit. The Flutter Mane gave off a distinct cry and ascend to dodge the shadow ball, Donphan rolled in the way of the power swirl and use protect to block it off.

The spirit raised her hair to the sky and chanted. (Primordial light of the sky, give us your guide upon this blackest of night!) Glimmer! The sunlight intensified and shined against the dark grounds, prompting Riku to call King back and get to work on tripping the sleeping Titan. The boy had the fortune of seeing the Flutter Mane set her gaze upon the giant, right before she pounced upon it as a shadow and siphoned a draining kiss. Maleficent saw that and was ready to cast something, only to be given a spinning kick by Perry. Maleficent warped away in a burst of fire and caused the flames to rush at the platypus as a will-o-wisp barrage.

Perry rolled a dodge as the Mismagius took the chance at breathing and watch Flutter Mane flip over Riku, letting the boy give a mighty cleave of purple flame before following with a consuming shadow ball. Causing the giant to tilt back from the force and have a Hisuian Growlithe rush at the rocky chest and smash it open with a single head smash. Riku jumped over a Rhinonaught and fired a bolt of purple flame to finish the Titan off, letting the Mismagius gasp. (Holy-) Riku channeled out light, called to Raz and Darter for a jump into a light rift. The three rushed across the field as lines that were making short work of the horde. The witch turned around, knowing she's going to have to fire shadow balls at Perry before her mistress finds this one out. Perry kept on a move to avoid the long range projectiles as Doofenshmirtz realize he's being useless, took out a remote and pressed a button. He tapped his foot impatiently. "Come on, come on."

PEW!

Riku and the Sneasel brothers ripped through the unversed horde, the boy and the ice type raise their hand and brought about a blast of light that blew in chilling wind. A second wave of Rhinonaughts and Boar Troops arrived, Riku took a step back and tossed a beast ball. "Xurkitree, electrocute!"

Pop! "Xurrrrrk!"

The Ultra Beast reached out with his many limbs, saw a strange city in peril and set his focus on the unversed, he let loose an electric terrain and begun by zapping a Boar Troop into vapor in a single shock wave. He skip footed away from a charging Rhinonaught and blasted it away with another shock. On Terra's end, he and Kleavor were in an adrenaline rush with their mighty swings, watched the dark forces cut themselves from the rocks and saw a green glow force its way through the darkness. Unleashing a wave that buried the unverse into the ground and gave Terra and his partners time to jump away.

WOOSH!

A Rhinonaught had something pounce on it's throat and let loose in an outrage finisher, before another was laid low. Terra had a moment to see the green and white canine of many cells, a hot blooded Zygarde that was confused from fatigue. The grown up took the chance to cast a small heal, invigorating Zygarde to where he stood firmly in the middle and turned to Terra in gratitude.

Riku and the brothers had the moment to realize what arrived was a being of power far greater than it's form seems to be. He pointed to the building where a brawl was ensuing. "Come on, we're never going to stop this as long as that witch is around. Zygarde and Xurkitree have our opening."

Flutter Mane had an idea and set her gaze on the scurrying foot soldiers. (These things are but ashes to scatter to the wind before the solar winds.) She chimed with Xurkitree. (We shall handle this!) Riku picked up Growlithe and tried to jump up the platform again, with the Sneasel brothers following suit. Maleficent was aware she was being cornered and raised her staff to the sky. "Blackest of night, swallow the light and unleash thine doom!"

A black bolt flowed out of the witch and swallowed the sky above, bringing about a pitch black that rain down drops of yellow eyes, on making impact, they split apart into shadows that made a rush for Riku and his band. Riku and the brothers kept back to back as Growlithe barked over to Perry and called him to the band. The boy and the ice type waited until the shadows crawled in close and spun upside down together to unleash an icy twister. Growlithe blasted flames on what he could aim as Perry and Darter punched and kicked at any pouncers. The Flutter Mane was annoyed by the dark sky and ascended in her chant. (T'is is but an illusion to blot out the glorious sun.) She brought about a light that disrupted the dark cloud. (Let it pierce this darkness and deliver radiance upon us all!)

Maleficent was annoyed back and had Mismagius work with her to bring about a shadowy green bolt. Flutter Mane took it with some vigor and wasn't going to ignore that.

Rumble! Rumble!

Rumbling was heard bellow and Doofenshmirtz phewed. "Finally, Norm if you can keep these shadow things distracted for five seconds, that might-" He turned to find a bigger Donphan with Great Tusks, alongside him is a man sized robot that looks like an orange haired, white collared worker. "I got here in a giffy, Father!" He spotted a fight going on up the building. "Looks like Perry is in quite the pickle."

The scientist knew there was a misunderstanding and hand wave. "It's a bit of an off day, just keep those guys busy." He pointed to the dark force. "It will give some of the guys time to get up there and get that witch out of here." He asked the Greats Tusk, who was seeing Terra and his patsy in a brawl. "And what can you do?"

The beast closed his eyes proudly and rolled up in a rapid spin before ramming onto the Rhinonaughts and swing with his full might. Norm in comparison jogged eagerly. "The enemy of my enemy is someone I can have a conversation with for another day!"

He punched into the Boar Troops and drew attention enmass. Donphan had a moment to recognize the Great Tusk as Terra, Kleavor and Primeape were realizing they have the chance. The eager elephant tooted. (We got this, hurry!) The three nodded and leaped to get on the roof. The Mismagius knew what they were attempting to do and cheered. (Finally!)

Maleficent tapped her staff and input a command, channeling will-o-wisps as the ghost cringed and channeled a dazzling light. (Sorry about this!) Gleam! Primeape nearly fell back as the Sneasel brothers got behind Riku.

The boy conjured a wide shield and flowed after the witch, making an aim for the dusk ball. Maleficent warped away and saw the Sneasel brothers following in on a plan, they made a dash for the staff head and were blasted away for their troubles as Growlithe clapped to Riku in a helping hand. Riku stood in focus for a morning divide as the witch saw that happening and worked with Mismagius to fire a flaming shadow ball. Just as it was about to be cast, something sprinted at Mismagius, giving a cross clawing that sent her falling to her back and passing out into slumber.

Flip!

Riku and the brothers had a moment to see the assailant keeping a distance. A tall, yellow Sneasel with a long black and yellow, ear. Long black claws with lines of yellow, green eyes and decorative gems of blue on the forehead and chest. Darter gasped. (Mama?!) Riku was wide mouth on recognizing the arrival. "Sneasler?" The poison type nodded, not aware of the witch conjuring up an ultra ball for the rather sneaky specimen. Raz saw that and growled. (Oh no you-) He sprinted after the hurled ball and cleaved it in two, giving the mama time to sprint after Maleficent and ready close combat. The witch unleashed an aero spell to send the Sneasler flying and called the incapacitated Mismagius back to the scepter. Riku and Perry tried to intercept the witch, only for her to warp away. She was curious about the fact Riku recognizes the creature. "It appears you three are acquainted? How curious."

The teenager wouldn't dare speak about how he came about that knowledge. "Nah, the brothers told me about her."

He readied for another glow as Maleficent raised a brow. "Enough of this." She vanished as a burst of flame. "I have something else I've came for in this dull lands."

She vanished along with the darkness she unleashed, Riku and Sneasler knew that despite driving the dark forces off, the witch still gotten away with the Mismagius. Riku felt his imagination going towards darker places, knowing that Mismagius has openly rebelled, he cursed. "Darn it, how are we going to rescue Mismagius like this?"

Sneasler turned to him and was looking to the brothers, feeling watering eyed while trying to hide that. (You got me there, she was still trying to attack you and the boys.) Riku sighed and looked over to Terra and his band. "Go back down and make sure everyone's okay. We got a lot to cover."

The grown up knew what is going on and let the teenager try to handle it. Raz was getting teary eyed and hugged his mother on the leg before introducing her to him. (This guy's been helping us find you, Mom. We'd thought you were lost in all this world hopping.) Darter jumped in childish glee. (We've been doing really good in rescuing, Mama.)

The Sneasler took a deep breath in relief and pride. (Glad to hear that,) She approached the human and rested a claw on her hip. (I hope my boys didn't give you too much trouble. They haven't been this far from a pack before.)

Riku could tell by some tones, that the Sneasler was trying to stay cool during the moment. "Raz might have been reckless until I found out he was trying to make sure his brother is alright. Beyond that, they're mischievous little punks who are sharp in those claws." He smirked. "Couldn't ask for a better duo."

The Mama snickered. (No wonder they like you. So do you got an idea of what we're suppose to be doing?) Riku nodded and readied to lead back to the lower ground. "Maleficent isn't off this world yet, I have friends that don't know this yet and we still have pokemon in this spot of the city that we got to rescue." He was about to jump. "I'm not going to bother catching you, there's no point. But will you help us set this right?"

The Mama smiled wide to show fangs. (There's a good reason we're teaching that fairy a lesson. No one irks a Sneasel pack and gets away with it.) Perry gave a thumbs up to that as he and the band jumped back down. They had a look at a Xurkitree and Great Tusk that was on guard, along with a Zygarde and Flutter Mane that expected more conflict. The strange robot and the scientist were about confused and the boy asked the Platypus. "Go get Doofenshmirtz, this is the kind of thing we're worried about."

At the other side.

Terra was having his adrenaline wear off and he looked to the Zygarde and Great Tusk, the later was looking for some answers and recognize the blade first and foremost. The grown up explained. "There was some magic that made me look different in the last place we've met. This is what I really look like."

The Great Tusk nodded and grunted, asking the band how they've been doing. Donphan tapped her feet in worry. (It's been the same kind of mission. It was nice that you came, that witch crossed it.) Primeape agreed. (Really crossed it!) Kleavor minded to ask. (So, what now?)

Great Tusk was too long winded from his prior fight, his hike and the current fight to think about a rematch. Zygarde snorted and gave a rumbling growl. (We still have one more pokemon to find, before balance can be restored to this city.)

Riku, the Sneasel family and the locals approached. The silver haired boy whistled at the Great Tusk. "Where did you come from?!" Great Tusk wish he can explain it in a way he would understand it, Zygarde had more of an understanding. (Similar to you, we've traveled from one world to another. By the way of the Labyrinth.)

Terra raised a brow. "But how would Great Tusk know to come-" He smacked himself on the forehead. "Doi! He met with the other half of our squad!" The Great Tusk grunted as Riku looked to him and imagined two particular outcomes, if based on some of the injuries. "You picked a fight with Sora, lost and used him as a way to sniff us out?!"

He was quite annoyed that Sora didn't use that as a chance to capture the beast. "He doesn't look like it, but he's the strongest amongst us all. It's his pokemon that need the work. But if you wanted to take that fight to him, then they were able to beat you too!"

Sneasler was pretty impressed while Great Tusk laughed heartily. Norm asked. "Is there anything else you'll need me for?" Riku and Tera shook their heads, the boy guessed. "Something has drawn Maleficent elsewhere-" He knew a possibility "and you might freak them out if you show up." Doofenshmirtz waved and checked the radar. "We're good for now, it looks like we still have one more pokesomething to find in the city." Norm understood and took a step back. "Super! I hope you'll have luck in sorting this out." His feet shot off rockets and sent him flying away, the scientist saw the disappointment in Riku. "Now, where did that witch ghost go off too?"

Riku sighed. "We couldn't break that ball and Maleficent got away with her. We know where she's heading next and we don't got the time to search the final pokemon." Doofensmirtz is seeing a blip moving closer. "And he's moving too."

Terra felt a thought in his mind and recalled details in Project: Snag Um, an idea. "Riku, how about you and your partners head back to Sora and the others? We'll handle this one."

The boy considered it, due to the dark forces having better things to do. "That can work. They should be at the neighborhood right now." Perry heard that and had a button pressed, bringing about a big hover car, the band gasped and Riku took the offer. "That can work."

He petted Growlithe and called him back while readying for Xurkitree and Flutter Mane. "Xurk, Penumbra, good work!" The ghost was startled by the nickname as the Xurkitree was a bit annoyed about not being able to see more, yet they were called back regardless. Riku sent out King while the Sneasel family were allowed on the back seat. King joined at the corner as Riku went to the front seat, letting Perry take the driver's compartment. Doofenshmirtz asked bitterly. "Oh so you're just going to leave without thwarting anything today? I still got daylight you know!"

Perry had bigger things on his mind and tipped his fedora to his nemesis before starting the drive. The scientist sighed. "Yeah, yeah, you got somewhere to be." The car flew off and left Doofenshmirtz shaking his fist. "Curse you Perry the Platypus!"

Terra realize this sort of scuffle happened so many times that it's it's more of a daily activity than anything else. "After we're done with this, do you mind if we have a talk?" Doofenshmirtz didn't and lead the way. "Perry and I normally battle each other on a routine, everything feels out of place." He read on the radar and asked. "You guys know each other, how did that happen?" Terra breathed out at a complicated story. "That's one of the reasons I want to talk with you, but we can handle that after we catch this final pokemon."
