At an early morning in Gravity Falls, Ven and Virtu were scaling the mountain peak over an abandoned mine track. If to search for something in particular, using air magic to control the climb. At the top, the duo were at a forest way and found a node of blue stone that matched the sky. Virtu beeped gleefully. (Blue stone!) Ven nodded. "Yeah, that's got to be the stuff." He brought out his blade and gave it a few slashes as Virtu charged and tackled the node into bits. Leaving behind four pieces of usable cobble stone and two chunks of iron.
The boy cheered, picked up the supplies and put them in a bag. "We got what we'll need to catch that Togekiss." He turned back and looked to the world bellow as Virtu wondered. (Do you believe that we'll find the other down in the mine?) The boy imagined so. "At least the things we'll need for those old heavy balls, Aqua knows a good invisibility spell that can give her that jump."
He realized something and had a look at what use to be mine tracks, he climbed down to find a white brick tunnel with the word, dead end. He and Virtu made a shadow step to sneak to the other side and find a chamber having two black nodes to smash apart, obtaining four pieces of black stone and four chunks of iron. The two shadow stepped back to the top of the mountain and with their haul, looked to find a place to glide down. Ven saw a gray building in the woods bellow and pointed. "Now, on the count of three, we take the fast route down. One, two..." Virtu beeped. (three!) Ven leaped over the edge in style and became one with the wind as his partner dived with him.
Down bellow.
Aqua was readying something over a campfire, with Stakataka relaxing from his night watch, Cyndi enjoying the sound of crackling flames, Milady stretching and watching over a Goomy having a mud bath. Aqua and Cyndi felt a change in wind and looked to the camp clearing to find Ven and Virtu finishing a slow descent. The boy landed in style and showed his bag of minerals. "There was stuff to find up there, today's going to be the day Togekiss is captured!"
Aqua considered it a plan. "Or at the least, we'll figure out her route. Once we pay a visit to those guys, we'll see if the Pines can help us explore some places they've been." She imagined more insanity. "I'd buy a hat if Stan actually took off to Vegas with that oily thing."
Ven went over to a work bench that has apricorns in storage. "We've seen enough of last night to bet that he would. Those kids seem to really like wearing those hats." Aqua kept to a more serious topic. "We've covered most of the surface, so now we need to scour places untouched by time and places bellow a waters view. Which should we go to first?"
Ven felt the choice before him. "I'm tired of going to the mall, so how about that mine we were told about? If a really wild pokemon is there, then it ought to be good exercise." Aqua hoped that was the answer. "In comparison, the lake would be a way to spend the rest of our day."
Beep! Beep!
A timer was set and Aqua took a particular, savory open face pie away from the cooking fire. Shadey popped out of his ball and was making himself known by smelling. Virtu analyzed the vegetables, mushrooms and ham pieces to go with the cheese. (This is certainly healthier compared to the one from last night.) Aqua knew that was positive criticism. "That Bonnet needs to lay off the junk food and maybe this won't make the others sick from looking at it."
Elsewhere by the Mystery Shack.
Dipper, Mabel and their partners of Phantump and Swirlix had nothing to do while they explored the wilderness and watched the rather dull activity of a dozing off Brute Bonnet and a Blacephalon that was laying on a tree branch. Mabel had squirrels on her head and a blue sweater with a magnifying glass while Dipper finished drawing a noted picture of the Brute Bonnet, alongside an image of a chewed up gnome with an x mark. The Brute had a sniff of something and stirred, Mabel tensed at the sense of danger. "Uh-oh."
The four ducked in hiding, watching the Brute waddle close for a smell and lifted his head to smell something over them, something that the stealthy four were smelling as well. "So that's where you kids went."
Dipper yelped and turned to find Ven, Aqua, a Wyrdeer that served as a steed and a buzzing Rotom. Mabel turned with him and cheered. "You guys are finally here." Ven was a bit relieved. " "Stan really took off to Vegas and left Soos to baby sit. So I think we can take over for the day."
Aqua went over to the Brute and placed down something that was wrapped in tin foil. She removed the cover to show a personal pizza pie that caused the Brute to salivate. "As I promised, here's a treat for behaving and helping when is needed. I thought you need something healthy in you." The Brute picked up the breakfast, had a sniff and took a bite, he blushed and slowed down his chomping as Bursty rolled sideways and looked down to jingle. (Where are you going?)
Ven whispered pretty eagerly. "We're heading to a mine that we heard about, the one that has the amber frozen dinosaurs." That came as a surprise to the Pine Twins and Dipper thought about it. "If I were a burrowing Pokemon, I'd pick that over the town. We need to round them up before some fire type thaws another Dinosaur out."
Rotom buzzed out. (Wouldn't one be thawed out by now?) The Wyrdeer recalled (It has been two days and some fire types can heat up real fast.) Aqua smirked and showed some rope. "Are we prepared?" Mabel jumped with Sweet Puff. "I'll go get the grappling hook!"
She and her partner rushed to the Shack as the Brute swallowed and squeaked. (Good luck with that one!) Bursty giggled to that. (There shouldn't be too much down there.) Ven agreed with hope. "We should be more prepared this time, this day is gonna get good!"
At Sanfransokyo.
Big Hero 6 and their guests were at SFIT, laying out pieces of gathered data on Sandy Shocks and Iron Moth. Ken and Hiro finished designing a blue print for a wide gate that would fit a two sided door. The one armed boy showed the shape. "With this size, we can send in a lot of gizmos in between and we can even fit a wider pokemon across if it's needed."
Hiro felt it could work. "It's doable, but if we're going to focus on a project like this, it needs to be done somewhere at that hideout. Is there any place that's wide enough to work?"
Ken and his squad thought of the attic, Dewott asked. (If we clear some junk away, we got the spot for that. So what kind of stuff do we need?) Ken felt what was said. "We got a ton of blocks that just need to be in shape to what we want. After that we have magics to make it operate. It's probably not as heavy as what was used to make that Gateway, we only need to have someone on the other side to help us connect."
He looked over to Hayner in gratitude. "Since our Guardians accepted the request, we have a set time before they have this finished. Hayner, we owe you one for taking in that call while I was out." The hot blooded of the Twilight Trio scratched the side of his head. "It's not a problem, I'm a little surprised we're spending that time after what happened this morning."
Honey Lemon didn't wish to be reminded. "Obake set up really specific traps." Hiro shivered. "Too specific." Ken finished writing a detail down. "And ours looked a lot like the entrance to that crystal cave, only one dude we know, would have told him everything he was able to figure out."
Xion bobbed her head. "Pete's working with that guy and since the heartless he used looked a lot like the ones that showed up when Gyarados was attacked-" Pence finished. "then those guys are working together. More reason to be careful when we go out exploring."
Hayner nodded and whispered. "Least it's just those guys. Aqua sent more in her log that you and Xion might want to read about." Ken nodded and folded the blue print into a square. "Bigger scope stuff. Pete has connections to a bad guy that's trying to rise up and some others helped break out a war."
Rumble!
He was feeling peckish as Xion moved along to the other project, showing a picture of a duo of Skarmory's carrying a cart with people and a flock of Squawkabilies carrying a cart. "Which is why some of us need to take to the sky next, we can find a cock pit at the dump, but we'll need the birds do the lifting."
Wasabi counted five parrots as Gogo wasn't in the mood to argue. "If it works there, it can work here." She asked her classmates. "You guys thinking what I'm thinking?"
Fred gasped. "We'll need to fight at their level soon and the only way to do that is to become-" Wasabi interrupted him. "Fred, that didn't go well with Gyarados, remember?" Baymax corrected him. "The reasons for that failure were numerous, mostly through a rushed training." Gogo agreed. "So let's think smaller."
Pence looked over to Honey Lemon with an idea. "We have a pokemon that turns all the trash he eats into crystals of condensed poison. And another who builds up that trash into a really dangerous gas when he eats them."
Honey Lemon imagined why. "Through a special digestive system that breaks down bio degradable material into fuel or compacted waste material?" Pence nodded. "That's exactly what Trubbish and Alolan Grimer do."
Xion didn't mind the idea as Olette asked. "What do you say guys, should we look around for good partners?" Ken voted for. "Any pokemon that are at a first stage or feel pretty passive ought to do. We'll look for a clue after we catch the Squawkabilies, according to what Emboar, Sableye and Vikavolt were talking about, they're at a pretty shady part of the city."
He showed a map and an image of a decorative alley in the dark, having thuggish looking men working there. Hiro nearly spat. "Good Luck Alley?!" Olette guessed. "A gangs hideout?" Gogo nodded. "A gangs hideout. Thankfully it sounds like you're looking for birds, so they have to be in one area those thugs won't look."
Ken looked to his squad and planned. "The roof tops? I guess we have some fliers for a short hop, me and Xion can fly around ourselves."
Pop!
Out came a Golbat that chirped. (Fliers? Like me?) He saw the picture of the place and the parrots, he flapped eagerly. (That roof top isn't too high. Those parrots ought to be hanging there by now.)
Ken asked the bat. "Are you sure about this, Night Count? We have to be out in the daylight." The Golbat grunted. (Just give me someone that isn't heavy. I can do it!)
The one armed boy blushed. "Noted, Sharpy will carry the rest on his back. Xion and I have our own means to get up there." Hiro suggested to the band. "And if you can, you might find a clue over there. All those poke robots might give those guys some really bad ideas."
Bayamax explained and showed the image of an over weight mob boss. "The gang that operates over there is known for hosting illegal bot fights." He showed robots dismantling each other and brought a dark thought, Xion pat Ken on the back. "Don't worry, if those punks get at our faces, Ken and I will show them who's the big boss around here." The one armed boy flustered. "That really won't take long with the two of us giving them a stare down."
He asked his tech partner and checked the time as he offered a handshake. "I think that next class is coming soon, we'll hang out at the hideout later and discuss the placement zone?" Hiro blushed and took the hand as part of a deal. "I'll tell Cass that I'll be late tonight, six o'clock?" Ken pointed and clicked as he set a time on the phone. "Six o'clock!"
He and the squad marked their objective, said their farewells for the afternoon and headed out. With Night Count putting up with the light as a way to train himself, much to Ken's initial protest. Sharp Shell gave a cheer to motivate the Golbat as Olette asked. "So, we'll need to find four more pokemon that would be a perfect enough match and those guys will be able to do more to help us. Let's keep an eye out for certain quirks while we explore this big dangerous city." Ken approved of that notion. "And more importantly, easy to handle at an early stage. That reminds me to give Gyarados some exercise, while teaching him how to work with us. Maybe something like what Night Count is doing, keep it a little rough but nothing too extreme."
He conjured a cloud and tossed it at the Golbat, blocking the sun from him for that moment. "Break flight, you got a few minutes away from the sun." The bat felt the relief as the band made it to the base in a few minutes and hurried to the attic. Sharpy was brought to attention and landed to squawk. (You're back early, did you find something big?)
Night Count looked to the metal bird and rested in the shadows while the boys got to work in pushing away building material and giving space fitting for a double entry door. Ken stepped back to envision the space as Sharp Shell answered to the bird. (We figured that we'll need a few hops to get over the roof tops of a bad neighborhood. We're going to need your help and Night Counts.)
The Skarmory looked to the teenager group and tilt his head. (The most I can carry is two and I think Golbat can lift a light one.) Sharp Shell found that helpful. (Great, apparently our captain and his first mate can fly over without you. Just say when.)
The Skarmory looked to a Golbat that was training himself and asked. (Twenty minutes.) The Dewott showed Ken two fingers and as many as he can show, the one armed boy guessed. "We got a timer that would give Night Count some relief." Pence gasped to an idea. "In the meanwhile, I'll go get some water, let's start with the basics of transforming that into clouds." Ken found that a helpful idea, multi tasking has proven to be effective.
Twenty Minutes later.
Flap! Flap!
Sharpy and the Night Count flew above, with the bird carrying Pence and Hayner, while the bat carried Olette. Pence kept his focus to a cloud and made sure the Golbat was under protective cover from the sun, Hayner noticed the alley way and pointed to the roof top, Sharpy noticed four in particular having a trio of average sized birds. The bottom left had white birds, the top left had blue, the bottom right had yellow birds and the top right had green. All of them arguing with the other side as a collection of annoying squawks. Olette used her head set to record the noise. "You think we've found the Squawkabillies?" Xion answered sarcastically. "We could have missed them if they were acting like Chirpabillies instead."
The Night Count laughed to that as Ken had a more serious tone. "That's a whole lot of Squawking. Everyone, according to the logs, these birds are really easy to catch into a quick ball. But I'd still say you have a partner out as soon as you land. Ready?" Pence and Hayner had their focus on the proud sounding greens as Olette had Night Count dive for the blues.
Fling!
Xion flung herself all the way to a flock of rather meek white birds as Ken faced the yellow birds that turned their attention to him and cawed. They flew close and beat with their wings, Ken braced for the wings and found the impact tickling. "Sheesh you birds need to chill!" He side stepped from a trio of quick attacks and sent out his duo. "Arendelle, Daggers, let's get them!"
Pop! Pop!
Out came a Froslass that gave a twirl of glee and a Pawniard that crossed his arms together in an x, the bird trio backed away and looked to each other. A leader with rough plumage cawed an intimidating warning, doing more to annoy the Pawniard as Ken used a quick ball and tossed it at the leader, catching it with no problems. "Icy wind and thunder wave!" The Froslass laughed and let loose the frigid wind as Pawniard intercepted a brash acting bird and let loose a shocking wave. Ken tossed a repeat ball at the stunned bird and ducked from a desperate quick attack, the boy tossed at the birds back for an effective capture and ended that ambush.
Pence and Hayner's luck was marginally better to the offended green Squackabillies. A fabulous looking bird brushed his crest and cawed. (You guys came at a good timing, we need to find a better neighborhood away from these Squawkers.) He bobbed his head. (You happen to have been from somewhere, so can you pass a map around?)
The boys saw arrogant behavior and sent out a duo of Heater and Maschiff. The dog gave an intimidating growl to spook the birds as the Magby tensed with a puff of fire. The main bird realize his diplomacy didn't work and looked to his right bird. (Right, try plan b!) The bird gave an intimidating squawk. (Don't think about it!) The two pokemon felt their moral lessen as Hayner and Pence simply tossed quick balls at the mooks, capturing them with ease and leaving the leading bird alone.
The bird rushed at the Maschiff in a hustle and missed a quick attack, Pence ordered. "Give this bird a fire spin!" Hayner followed. "And follow with bite!" Heater took a side step and let loose a flame that condensed into a twister and trapped the bird in a vortex, Maschiff sprinted to the birds side and gave a fast bite. The bird pecked himself free as Hayner tossed a repeat ball.
Olette landed in style and had the Night Count hide in the shadow of a roof hatch. The blue Squawkabillies saw a determined girl that sent out a Shroodle for battle, the hiss caused the birds to fly around in a panic. Olette found that an opportunity and tossed quick balls at the two birds, leaving a Squawkabilly with a nervous air to watch as the balls clicked. Shroodle thought of something and called. (Hey, you got the wrong idea, we got a job for you all and a better spot than all these roofs put together.) The lone bird stopped and looked to find two of the flocks doing battle and getting caught. (Hoo boy, hoo boy!) Shroodle sighed and request to Olette. (Get him in the ball, he'll calm down soon.) The girl readied a repeat ball and tossed it at the birds back for a full flock capture.
Xion readied for a fight and brought out Tinker, who has a hammer in the works and an eager attitude. The white Squawkabillies simply stared at the two, with the leader of the three, who looked to be tired from the constant arguing, cawed. (What do you guys want?) Tinker saw the bird already gone through a hectic day and request. (We're here to relocate you guys and ask if you can help us with something that will bring us to the higher buildings. Are we still going to fight each other?)
The leader Squawkabilly huffed. (We've been having fights with those three flocks since we found this place and I'm not trusting the way the ground dwellers bellow are acting. Not after how they caused that Golett fella to run off this morning.)
Tinker gasped. (A Golett? Where did he go?) The bird to the left admitted. (We followed him towards this part with pretty trees and a this building up a hill.) The right one asked her leader. (Hey, maybe they can help him out if we show them where he's gone?)
The leader felt that was an excellent idea. (If you can bring us to a quiet place, we can help ya to your next rescue. What's the catch?) Tinker looked over to the girl that knew talking was happening. (We're going to need you in these balls.)
The birds lined up and Xion was given the que to toss quick balls. Fling! Fling! Fling! In a few shakes, the birds were caught, Xion picked the balls up and thanked her partner. "We'd just agreed to our next mission, did we?" Tinker nodded proudly. (Yep, they'll tell us more when we're back home.)
She pointed to her ball and was called back, letting Xion have momentum to leap over to Olette as Sharpy flew Pence and Hayner over to a gathering. Hayner blew out at the longer task ahead. "That's a whole lot of birds to train."
Woosh!
Ken landed in his flow and went over to Night Count to let him know he did a fine job. "That's a whole flock of noisy birds that didn't like each other. Nice work." Xion blushed. "Yeah, but we're not done yet. One of the flocks know something we need to learn about, if we're heading back, do you mind if we have a chat with them?"
Ken liked the idea that there could be more afoot. "So we can talk with those guys? Alright everyone, come on over here and we'll be back to the base in a blink. Sharp Shell's going to like that we got company."
Sharpy hopped over as the teenagers and Shroodle gathered around into the shadow, the band touched one another and with a blink, they were back to the base. A bored Dewott rolled off a couch in shock and called. (You guys are back already? That has to be a lot of heights.)
The Night Count grunted as Xion let Tinker and the three birds out. The trio were pretty amazed by the technology and the pleasing breeze as the weapon smith pointed to the water type. (This is the guy that will tell the others! We need to hurry.) The three looked over to the Dewott and hopped down to give a mellow hello. (Hey, we got big things to worry about, there's a Golett that ran all the way to the other side of the city and we need your help to make sure he's alright. Can you let the humans know?) Sharp Shell nodded. (I can borrow the Dex if I need to.) The bird grunted. (Alright, so it's like this.)
At an abandon church in Gravity Falls.
The Wayfinder duo and their companions looked down at a split in the earth, the Pines readied rope to tie across an anchor and drop down into the split as Aqua conjured a crystal and kept it hidden among the debris. "There we go, in case someone tries to cut that rope, we'll still be able to get back out." Sweet Puff, Phantump and Rotom were looking down in the dark unknown while Dipper was thinking. "But who would care that we're coming here?"
Aqua answered with initiative. "The one man we've been worrying about, the one who's came to this world before." She called Cyndi back and climbed down first, the Pines followed her lead, with Phantump and Sweet Puff floating down with them, Mabel gasped. "One of those Dark Seekers?"
Ven climbed down last as part of the rear guard, with his Rotom keeping by him. "The last of them. At the peak of the War, our trio of Destiny and Ken, succeeded in bringing the Master Mind behind our ten years of a nightmare, down. With him, his blade was shattered as well. His toady is trying to get a Keyblade through any means and would do anything you can think of to get it. From helping the Master Mind ruin our worlds, to murdering someone, thinking a Keyblade is just something you'd mug from another. That toady crawled to the shadows to lick his wounds and try to get that blade put back together."
Aqua added to the tale. "But, an aspect of Ken dealt a horrid blow to that man, through an aim of a pistol, he blasted his knee cap off. By all accounts, Braig would have either died in that ruins of a wasteland or at least cripple himself more to escape with his life. But something helped him escape as part of a one sided deal. I've seen with my own eyes, the one who helped him."
They were at the ground of the cavern and Aqua stepped off, being careful to make sure the Pines were in safer grounds as Ven had a look at a strange world, with ancient plants, mushrooms and steam vents. Aqua felt a terror in her heart. "An entity who's presence could be tracked all the way to this world. Does Bill Cipher ring any bells?"
Dipper flinched as Mabel groaned. "What does that one eyed triangle want from that?" Aqua was certain of one thing. "If we haven't already learned, from the time we've battled him and a mad man who became a willing vessel, I'd say he's searching for pure chaos. He wouldn't love nothing more than to turn reality inside out and make everything with in the span of a cosmos his playthings." Dipper groaned at the most idiotic part of the current events. "And our crook is dumb enough to make a deal with him!" He lead on with his phantom. "Come on, we need to keep them from getting their hands on these guys."
The Phantump held Dipper by the arm to keep him from running off too fast as Ven realized that more happened. "That triangle tried to attack you, didn't he?" Dipper was nervous and scared of what transpired, he took a deep breath and pleaded. "Not one word of this leaves here, please don't tell Ken or the guys about it."
Aqua zipped her mouth while Ven promised. "We won't, but something happened here involving him?" Dipper searched his pocket. "It started a few weeks ago, when a fraud was trying to force us out of the Mystery Shack. Little Gideon struck a deal of some kind and hired Bill to go into Stans mind for a code to a safe." Ven guessed. "So he can get the deed to the place." Dipper recalled those events like a fond adventure. "We'd put a stop to that, but Gideon went to take the Shack by force anyways. That was when Ken, Dupmic and Xion came, to try and keep that from getting worse. During most of the week, we've been trying to uncover the mystery of a Journal you've heard about. We've found more clues than answers and Soos found a brief case that had the authors computer."
Mabel was feeling warm in the heart. "Then we had a bunch of stuff happened that day and they had to leave. But they left behind a present that helped us return the favor."
She gave a tada, showing a blue moon medallion with engraved dots of stars. Aqua gasped at something so simple, yet beautiful, Ven recalled fondly. "They did do that." Aqua sighed. "Those kids would do that. They've taken that idea from somewhere and used some tinker work. After they had to leave Gravity Falls, you kids were left having to crack that computer."
Dipper went to the main topic, hesitating to show something. "Nothing was working and I lost a days of sleep because of it. That was when Bill started showing up, lying about a deal to give me until I cracked." Aqua felt her protective instincts kick in and she raised her voice in terror. "And he pressured you to make the deal?" Dipper might have raised his voice even higher. "The wrong password was imputed so many times that the data was going to get wiped. What other choice did I have?"
The Phantump nudged to Dipper and whispered his own doubts. (That's got to be what he wanted you to think.)
The Keybearers knew precisely what was said, Ven froze silent in horror as Aqua felt her voice breaking. "What did he ask?" Dipper paused and rubbed his arm nervously. "A puppet, Mabel and I were making a puppet show at the time."
Aqua's irises and pupils shrank as her voice raised. "He tricked his way into your body?!" Dipper corrected her. "He forced me out of it, smashed the lap top and..." He showed an orange sun medallion with engraved clouds that was thrown to the ground and stomped on. Ven glared at the deed. "Low!"
Aqua took a deep breath blew out building rage. "That demon didn't just do that for Chaos, he was wanting something and he needed a vessel to do it." Mabel nodded. "The Journal Dipper has with him all the time. Bill was smashing Dipper's body around and was doing all kinds of dumb things with it too."
Aqua was less amused. "Because pain is amusing when you know you're not the one getting hurt. Dipper..." She crouched and put a hand to his shoulder as a way to calm him down. "You were lucky to have gotten your body back. But this is exactly what we're scared of, our crook has to know what Bill is and he's gone along with it anyways. Tricking people and making chaos is all Bill does. That's why what ever they're doing on this world, needs to be stopped. Could you let me see that charm? I need a closer look."
Dipper did so and brought out the Journal, Aqua had a close inspection to see the damages on a once gorgeous memento. A lot of effort and care was done in making them, she put the pendant in her pocket and tried not to cry about it. She took a soft breath. "It's gonna be okay. This can get fixed." She promised herself. "No one else has to know about this, we don't need to see more people give into anger." Ven definitely agreed and is keeping by Dipper. "Because we don't want to know, how fast they can mess someone up or if they'd bother to make it quick."
The band crossed into the cave and felt a chill. Rotom flew into Ven's Phone and had it hover with a flash light. Showing dinosaurs that are frozen in tree sap. Mabel shivered. "When has it started getting cold?"
Munch, munch. They heard the sound of something munching on the mine cart tracks and focused to find a steel gray, quadrupedal critter with blue eyes, stubby legs and a face that looked like a plate mask. Ven awed. "Cute Aron."
Aqua gave a turn to see the critter as Mabel rushed and tossed a dusk ball at the creatures back, capturing it effectively. Dipper tried to keep his mind focused, away from his confession and focused on a page in the Journal. "This is the kind of mystery we went to. These dinosaurs all got frozen in tree sap and stayed down here for millions upon millions of years. One of them thawed from sap that was melting from the summer heat and stalked the town." He considered a missed opportunity. "I'm not sure how that Bonnet would react to this."
Aqua imagined. "He'd definitely get more confused about this sap. He likes to follow his instincts over common sense." Blink! She spotted something looking from the darkness, a set of small yellow eyes.
The Keyblade Master readied a ball and whispered. "Something's watching us. Stay right here." She approached to find the eyes were behind a crystal of some kind, floating back into the tunnel. Aqua gave a gentle illuminating shine and revealed small flower of dark blue petals, a crystal cone to cover a dark face and yellow eyes. Dragging behind the flower is a bulbous purple stem. The flower chimed an expected tone. (We've been waiting for you; Traveler of the Labyrinth.)
Aqua stepped back in shock as Rotom turned on the Dex App and showed the specimen in detail. "Glimmet: the ore pokemon: Rock/Poison: It absorbs nutrients from cave walls. Glimmet's toxic mineral crystals look just like flower petals. This Pokémon scatters poisonous powder like pollen to protect itself." Glimmet half turned and looked a tad nervous. (You got me there.) She kept her distance and called out the band. (You delve into the primordial secrets of the world, to guide the lost out of this darkness. Finding old treasures, long forgotten. Finding treasures that should be forgotten. You wish to use this treasure to further your cause, or simply to sate a curiosity?)
Aqua and the crew were a bit spook, yet the Keyblade Master approached, ready for a fight. "We were told about this glow, there is a tera crystal close by... is there?" Glimmet smiled in glee and crystalized. (To tap into a limitless wish and be what you want to be.) The crystal reveled a brown hue with a pendant resembling a mountain on the bulb. (Only those, who can imagine greater, can hope to best this. What say you?) Aqua already had a plan in motion and sent out the Lilligant. "Milady, make this quick. This little guy-" Ven snickered. "girl." Aqua let herself be corrected. "girl is going to show us what she knows. One leaf blade, should do."
The Lilligant nodded and glided after the Glimmet, intercepting an escape route and with one blow, knocked the ore flower out of the crystal. Glimmet was in a daze as Aqua used a gigaton ball to be done with the capture. Sparkle! Aqua gave a wide smile and went to let out an embarrassed Glimmet that was disappointed in herself. Aqua took the chance to marvel at the simple beauty. "You're new to this too, aren't you?"
If the ore would, she'd give a smile in a confession. (Well, I've overdone more than I am. But, the terestal power is close. My master, wishes for you to have it and see it's potential. But do you take the word of a stranger in the dark?)
The Lilligant was impressed by the honesty and looked to Aqua, who was feeling the intended words. "Now that you said it, it would be foolish to just follow along a promise that might not be true. But if you were lying, you wouldn't have suggested that I think about it. That is the real test."
She asked the explorer team. "Ven, everyone, go search down bellow. Glimmet and I have a little exploring to do." The band understood and took off to the mine track, leaving Aqua and the Lilligant alone with the stranger that was most pleased, it turned and floated to the off beaten path, letting the human understand her conundrum. "I've vowed to stay away from the labyrinth, but it looks like the machinations that made that place isn't going to just leave me alone. Did you come from that place, or are you connected to what ever is behind it?"
The Glimmet floated past veins of iron and show the end of a tunnel, where a cluster of blue crystals were clenching to something buried. Glimmet turned and presented it to her. (It is here, if you can dig up the horrors from with in this dark.)
Aqua wasn't a fool and conjured globules of water to hose the ore away in a high pressured wash. "I heard of this crystal, the ore that you're akin to. Chalcanthite, a fragile, beautiful crystal that is toxic to the touch. Milady, keep back you don't want this in your body."
The Lilligant stepped back as Aqua saw the real glimmer behind the node, a tera orb and a neatly placed, dark purple plate. The Lilligant gasped and covered her mouth. (A plate! Horrors from with in this dark!)
Aqua nodded and was grateful she had gloves on her palms. "There are things, better off buried in the earth. But someone always finds a way to dig it up. Whether it be miners that find hungry dinosaurs or a vein that leads to the molten rock. That never really changes."
She took the orb and read the back of the toxic plate. "The rules of time and space change within the opposite world." She thought about some of the phrases being a bit on repeat. "A whole set can tell a cohesive story. But if I read right, the two pokemon of Time and Space are the ones associated with Arceus. The opposite world... is a world that is parallel to the plane Arceus created. But what is that world for?"
She had a chill in regards to certain pokemon she chose to skip reading, one particular memory was of an entry of a Renegade. Glimmet and Lilligant looked to a shadow in the tunnel back and felt the chill leaving. Aqua waited until she was sure the chill was gone before using the app to get a read on Glimmet. The special attack stat was astronomical for a first stage, even if every other stat was bellow average. The ability and the moves caught her eye. "Toxic debris? Scatters poisonous spikes at the feet of the opponent when hit with a physical move? Moves; Acid spray, ancient power, stealth rock... tera blast?"
She checked the last move. "If the user has Terastallized, it unleashes energy of its Tera Type. This move inflicts damage using the Attack or Sp. Atk stat—whichever is higher for the user." She checked Glimmet's Tera Type "Ground." and was quite fascinated. "A beautiful, mysterious pokemon that holds deadly surprises for those who not respect thee. This is going to be interesting, get use to some work on the surface world, because I've always had an interest in the technique of venom."
The Glimmet was intrigued by the dark desire. (Why would you seek a cruel power as your own?) bAqua felt it was unorthodox. "A slight sting can win you a war and there are many things in the world that are beautiful to look at, but it will make you see the lights of Heavens gates that much easier. Most of the magics I know of however, are chemical and don't have that precision to make it painless. One of my students knows of a gas that while effective at making it quick, can wipe out a crowd instead of just one target. You are as much of a mentor as you are a student. We'll fit you right in."
Glimmet blushed at the honor and guided the group back to the mines path. (The beasts bellow, shouldn't be a true issue. But there is a test from the Almighty, that must be seen.) The band ventured down the tunnel and found a ledge with a rope going down, showing an underground jungle, one section had frozen plants and further down was something glimmering in crystal.
Down bellow, right before Aqua found the Plate.
Ven was sliding down the rope and kept a firm grip as Dipper and Mabel were stunned by the frozen fauna at the end of their descent. Mabel shivered and kept by Ven for warmth. "Chilly in here, even when you got a sweater."
Dipper agreed with her on that. "Something's definitely down here."
Rustle!
The crew yelped as Sweet Puff picked up a scent and followed fast, bringing the squad to trail behind and hear a panicking squawk. At a clearing, they found one possible cause for the chilling weather, a small, icy blue, long neck dinosaur with a stunning set of frills over the eyes. The frills are yellow, yet fade to pink at the edge. It has an icy stone at the side of it's body. Warning her and flapping in a panic, was a bird with a body of blown feathers and wing tips of blue, taking off into the unknown before the crowd can see more. Rotom had the phone fly before the three and show the specimen before them. "Amaura: the Tundra pokemon: Rock/Ice."
Ven whispered. "That explains why things are pretty cold down here, she's been chilling the heat away." Amaura had a smell of something and turned to find the Swirlix, among the band. She gave them a stern look with her icy eyes and let loose a rather beautiful echo. (Find us down here and see if you're prepared for the ambush.)
Rotom gave a huh as the dinosaur blew about a snow storm, using it to disappear. Phantump shivered as Dipper noticed something left behind, foot prints. "That dinosaur left tracks!"
The Rotom flew to the boy and gave a text message. "Don't follow it just yet, Amaura said something about an ambush. If you go looking, she'll be ready for the first blow."
Ven called Rotom to him and agreed. "And we know she isn't alone. Let's think about getting the jump on them before they're able to do that to us." Dipper recalled something specific that Wendy has done and showed a nest ball. "One confuse ray ought to do it. Bronzor's part steel, which can resist a lot of types. Including ice and rock, so-" He let out the strange disk and asked. "You'll take the first freeze breath or what ever, while Phantump let's her have it. Your steel move might be overkill."
The psychic hummed as Mabel let out the Stufful and sprinted in a quiet cheer. "Come on Muscle Bear, we got dinosaurs to catch!" The bear hurried with a whine as Sweet Puff caught a smell and bolted ahead of the girl. That gave Ven an idea as he brought out a freshly made jet ball. "Dipper, we'll go look for our sprinter while you flush that Amaura out, okay?"
The boy understood and had his partners get ready for the task ahead. Tracking the Amaura wasn't too difficult, due to the frills having a glow in the snow, like an aurora borealis. Hiding by the snow blown trees. "Bronzor, glow a bit and pretend your Phantump." The Bronzor glowed and spin. (Confirmed.) He let loose a confuse ray while Dipper and Phantump kept behind, sneaking as the Amaura was noticing the light, was dazed in confusion and let loose a freeze dry that sent the steel type falling as a frozen orb. "Go go, use the branches!"
Phantump charged the Amaura with a horn leech and sent her rolling away from the super effective blow, giving Dipper time to toss a great ball and watch it fall into the frozen ground. Shake...shake...shake... click!
With that done, Dipper felt the cold lessen and warm up to the natural humid heat of primordial times. Bronzor's ice melted away and left the steel type a tad confused as his partner picked up the ball. "Got him!"
In the shrubbery, by a magosteen tree.
Mabel and her partners recklessly charged forward, only recently becoming aware of a fight underneath the tree. A yellow ceratoid calf with a dark gray, shield like head was doing battle against a bipedal, brown dinosaur with a red skull and a red back. Colliding their heads together in a battle of a shield and a hammer, Mabel ordered fast. "Break that fight, knock them away!"
Sweet Puff had a better idea and spat a glob of sticky web over the fighters, making a trap as Stufful sprinted after the duo and let loose a brutal swing that knocked the dinosaurs into the web. The red skull dinosaur was getting up and gave a rather offended cry as the ceratoid stood up like the blow did little. The Stufful rushed to the more durable dinosaur and applied a force palm to knock it to the tree and leave it paralyzed. The red skull dinosaur charged at the Swirlix in a head smash and was dodged, Sweet Puff floated down to give the rock type a draining kiss that made it regret some choices. Mabel tossed a great ball at the ceratoid while the red cranium gave a sheer force swing of a fiery punch, knocking Sweet Puff in a back roll while Mabel went to the dinosaurs back and tossed another great ball. Securing a rather brutal, if effective capture.
By an small lake with a distinct gleam.
Ven and Rotom kept on the trial of the bird and saw it escape to a tree by a stream. Unaware of something in the lake that gave a rush of an aqua jet. A blue turtle with a dark blue shell, Ven and Rotom stepped back to dodge the territorial attack and watched the turtle land on his side before flipping and giving a ready stance. Ven took a deep breath and aimed the phone. "Rotom, thunder bolt the Tirtouga!" Rotom shot himself out and let loose a thunder bolt crackle, the Tirtouga's solid rock shell absorbed some of the blow and he sprinted for a crunching counter.
Fling!
Rotom was sent into a roll and Ven tossed a net ball to capture that menace. At the peak of that, a shriek was heard from a tree, Ven and Rotom rolled back to avoid a rock slide that sent the ball rolling into the lake. Leaping off to another branch was more details of the bird, a blue cranium, an orange beak with sharp teeth, an orange tail and a frantic leap to try and fly. Ven flowed to the branch and spooked the bird into jumping across another branch. The boy had a light clone fly after the bird and make it hurry to the edge of a branch, exposing it's back to a jet ball throw. The bird leaped and had a ball zip after him in break neck speed, it opened to bring the beast in and fell to the ground. Giving off a shake and shooting out fire works. Ven phewed, looked to his trusty Rotom and tapped the side of his head. "I'm not going to chase Togekiss like that, but the moment I get that chance, I just need to make sure the ball is lined up just right." He dismissed the clone and picked up the birds ball. "Archen's a pretty good test for that." Rotom agreed and watched the net ball float over to the glimmering lake that has something in the center.
BZZT!
(Hey, is that suppose to be floating there?)
Ven looked on to see the glimmer leading to a crystal, he activated a low hover and went to swipe up the ball before having a closer look, he recognized the low ground crystal that has a symbol akin to n H, with an upside down, backwards P for a left and a up standing P for a right. The curves were akin to triangles and glowed to bring about a heart. "Come rain or sunshine, the untouched lands call from across the sea. Face the winds north and walk in the wake from the yester!"
Ven took a step back, the heart above the crystal wasn't something he was envisioning. The heart gave a glimmer and showed a dark skin, teenage girl with a teal one piece dress, braided hair tied into a bun, matching green eyes, a belt and sandals, amazed that a trick she has committed to worked. "Did that freak you out, Key Bearer?"
The Rotom buzzed. (Woah! Where did you come from?) The girl waved. "That's not important right now, once your friends notice this, they'll follow you to see this test." Ven put his hands to his hips, felt his glide wear off and found himself on top of the water, likely by the will of the crystal. "What kind of test? Are you with that Lady or Arceus?"
The girl giggled. "Oh, ho, ho, ho!" and gave a serious stare. "Yes, yes I am. It's taking a lot so I can focus on this vessel." Glimmer! The form vanished to show the heart. "If your friends follow you, will you accept this challenge?" The boy nodded without hesitation. "It's going to give us answers, so me and my partners are in."
In the jungle.
Dipper and Mabel reunited from their misadventure, watching the frost quickly melt and bringing about a humid air. Their partners looked around, knowing someone is missing, Mabel called out. "Venny, we just caught a bunch of dinosaurs! Where are you?"
Dipper wondered what could have happened as the trees began to shake, roughly shake. The six prepared as something relatively small was seen in the shrubs, emerging to have a look around. A brown, juvenile at best, tyrannosaurus with a white belly, two orange spikes on his head, white feathers around the neck and a fanged mouth. He gave a roar that is more of a squeak. "Tyrunt!"
He looked upon potential challengers and gave a few stomps, demanding a battle as he glowed his fangs in a psychic power. The band were even less terrified as some cast a shadow over the dinosaur, a gigaton ball was tossed at his back and gave a tap, it brought him into the orb and gave a firm shake.
Pew! Crackle!
The capture was done and standing above the orb was Aqua and a newly acquired Glimmet that looked over to the orb. (Alas, the young apex is humbled.)
The Keyblade Master picked up the ball and noticed the twins have their own captures. "Not bad of a haul. Ven's chasing another down?" Dipper nodded. "I think he was going after this bird, but he should be heading back by now." Aqua hmmed. "Point the way, I there's a clue I spotted up above." The Pine's recalled a small lake and followed a trial to a stream, going to the glimmering sight and finding Ven and Rotom before a crystal stand. The boy standing on top of the water was an oddity in itself, Dipper gasped. "Ven, how are you doing that?"
The teenager turned around and waved as Aqua noticed a heart floating above the stand and lowering itself to the crystal. The Stufful tapped a paw to the water and found herself pressing against it, like it was a wet solid. She waddled ahead and encouraged the walkers to follow, catching up to the strange event. Ven showed the two balls. "We found this while we were catching this Tirtouga and Archen. This heart came from that Labyrinth."
Aqua and Glimmet were amused as the atmosphere darken. "From that realm of hopes and dreams, a legend is to stand before you. Face the North Winds that blow down and prove yourselves Seekers of a Legend." The heart gave a sharp shine and Aqua realize something's coming. "Dipper, Mabel, you and your partners will support us while we do the dangerous work. If this North Wind starts blowing towards you, you are to make it like the wind until we can keep it distracted. Understood?" The siblings do, Dipper called back Bronzor as Mabel brought Sweet Puff into safe storage.
The shine took shape and reveled a body of crystal taking color. Of a blue leopard with a purple back mane and a hexagonal, crystal crest on her forehead and two tails blowing forward like white streamers. Having a set of red humble eyes and a cool air. The Wayfinders whispered the name as one.
"Suicune?"
Aqua made a fast switch from Glimmet to her Lady Lilligant, the Suicune leaped high to the edge of the lake and had a trial of water behind her, at a tip she brought about a surf wave. Aqua conjured a wall of crystal to make the surf wave bounce over, Suicune leaped over the wave and flipped to fire an ice beam, Rotom intercepted and blasted a thunder bolt as Dipper ordered. "Phantump, horn leech!"
Mabel cheered. "Bulk up and do that palm thingy!" The Stufful bulked herself up as the ghost intercepted the Suicune and rammed his horns, dealing a hefty blow as Stufful charged. Suicune opened her mouth and blasted scalding hot water to knock the Stufful aside and leave her burned as Aqua ordered. "Victory dance and wait!"
The Lilligant gave a dance as Suicune leaped aside with a torrent of water and roared to let it loose as a tidal wave. Aqua conjured a barrier for the twins as Muscle Bear made a run for her life and get behind it. Phantump was sent flying as Ven and Rotom flew high to the sky and fired thunder bolts at the aurora.
Suicune dashed left and right after taking the first two and sprinted with a water trial as a platform, getting up to the duos level and knocking them backwards in an icy wind. The two kept together and fired one more bolt before falling back to Aqua, who glided out of the crystal barrier as Phantump hurried to where Suicune was landing, Dipper saw the chance. "Go for a confuse ray and let that Suicune have it!"
The Phantump conjured the strange light and had it daze the beast at the moment she landed, Aqua intercepted the Suicune to keep her from making a maneuver. Phantump rammed the Suicune once more as Milady gave her a firm slice that sent her skidding to the river. The Suicune let loose a shatter of light and stood up as her body crystalizes, she gave a smirk as the turned into pure crystal and shattered into mist. The light condensed and cast a shadow that quickly turned into something that towers over the band. The clouds cover something resembling a bipedal, carnivorous dinosaur with twin tails, a mane covering the neck, shoulders and back, spikes shooting out of the back and the crystal crest having the side horns stretch to the side. Her paws were turned into talons, a set of fore arms and a set of mighty legs. Crackle!
The crystal shattered to reveal the beast before them, a dinosaur with a great resemblance to Suicune, having sclera that is yellow, much like the Brute Bonnet above. The beast had a cloak of hot steam as she looked up to the hole in the sky and brought upon bright rays of sunlight. The mist and fog surrounded the jungle and complimented the light, resembling an period of life most primordial. As it walked, the lake rippled in a wake.
Mabel cringed. "Wuh oh!" Dipper laughed nervously. "Well, look at the bright side, it could have been a dragon." The Walking Wake raised a brow and leaped over a nimble Lilligant, she inhaled and blasted out fire, scorching the grass type into a knock out in one blow. Aqua and Ven gave Dipper a look, as if he jinxed that. The Walking Wake looked over to the Phantump with heated intent, the ghost yipped and gave a glow, distorting the dimensions and making a run for it at high speeds.
The Walking Wake was caught in a distortion, where slow is fast and fast is slow. Mabel called the Stufful back. "Sweet Puff, we got to close up this crazy fairy tail!"
Aqua called Lilligant back and sent out her trusty Wyrdeer, "Come on we're not done yet!" The steed gave a buck and stepped forward against the Walking Wake as Ven thought of an idea. "This dinosaur's fast, Rotom, paralyze her and give her a hex!"
The Wyrdeer let loose a long rang uproar as the Rotom flew after the Walking Wake and let loose a spark, paralyzing her and frustrating her. She fired out a blast of hydro steam and sent him falling to the side of the lake before looking at the Wyrdeer and shooting a dragon pulse. The Walking Wake tried rushing over to the other side of the lake and tripped from her aliment, giving Ven the chance to bring out Shadey. "Come on, some good snarls should stop her from boiling us!"
The Zorua leaped in his fox form as Mabel barked. "Draining kiss, draining kiss! We got the edge!"
Sweet Puff agreed and flew to the Walking Wake to give a super effective kiss as Phantump let loose a confuse ray to daze the Primordial Beast. Shadey let loose a snarling pulse and demoralize the Walking Wake that stood up and jerked left to fire a hydro steam at the Swirlix, only to trip and injure herself again. Wyrdeer charged for a psyshield bash as the Walking Wake pulled herself up to dodge the charge and take a combo charge of a horn leech and a draining kiss. Shadey rushed after the Walking Wake and partook in some foul play, flinging the beast to the center and causing a splash that let loose a scattering of crystals.
The sunlight and the fog lessened, that danger was adverted and in place of the splash is a treasure chest of crystal. Mabel was in a sugar like craze and jumped skittish as she and the Swirlix were celebrating. "We did it, that treasure is all ours!" She rushed to the box as Dipper caught her by the back of the sweater. "Mabel, slow down. We don't know if that box is another trap or not." Ven doubted that, from the things he seen. "Or if it's from that Labyrinth, we got through the most dangerous part."
Aqua put her hands to her hips. "Ven, you were the one who discovered this. What was going on?"
The boy imagined as Shadey waddled over. "That heart talked with me and everything, it even took the form of some girl before she changed back to that." The Keyblade Master gasped and recalled the six hearts that Suiten called upon, the heart they faced has to be one of them. "Alright, alright. How about you and Mabel do the honors and let's see what's worth all that trouble."
Ven nodded as he and Mabel went over to the lid and gave it a push, it gave off a shine and reveled a watery teal crystal, along with a note. Ven picked the crystal up and saw it bore the symbol of an upside down triangle. Mabel read the note that looked rather simple. "Until you are ready to free the Drago, bring the Walking Wake to the locked door, she will see that he is undisturbed."
Aqua recalled. "Right, Ken reported about a sealed door, much like the one that kept Regice locked up. Found at the same place he and his friends got those fruits." Mabel blinked and Dipper knew what that meant. "He found them all the way down here! That has to mean the door's somewhere around here." He looked up to find the way out and turned to the other end. "It's got to be over there, somewhere."
The band weren't going to argue and followed Dipper, Aqua kept a look around for anymore pokemon as Ven looked up the list of the pokemon found. Getting a description of Cranidos and Shieldon before adding Archen, Tirtouga, Amaura and Tyrunt. The final one at the end of the dex, was the primordial beast they fought. "Walking Wake: The Triassic Pokemon: Water/Dragon. This ferocious creature is shrouded in mystery. It's named after an aquatic monster mentioned in an old expedition journal. It appears to resemble a super ancient Suicune."
He showed Aqua the picture, which raised more questions. "This doesn't look anything like that beast in that book, outside of the face and the fact it has twin tails. But since this has the same kind of cry and pose Suicune would have, that means one thing."
Ven imagined two other dinosaurs that resemble big cats. "There's suppose to be a Raikou and Entei lookalike that are part dinosaur?" He believed it and let his imagination wander. "Who'd thought we go so deep into this cave and find the lair of a fire breathing dragon?" That realization, that they've bested such a beast, brought determination into their hearts. At the far corner of the cavern, was a door of braille, with a pattern of dots above, resembling that is seen on Regidrago's face.
Aqua hurried to decipher it with aid of her phone. "Let's see if we can open this up and get Drago out of there." She had disgust at the stories she's heard. So many ages... all alone." The phone translated. "Through the rising cliff, to the frigid sea and the harden earth. Will this door open. Only when we unlock their secrets, will we be-" She glared in anger. "Who do they think they are?! Taking the Key to the Heart and using it to chain the world." Ven felt that is mutual. "But we can unlock this if we think. The rising cliffs, the frigid sea and the depths of the earth."
Dipper asked. "What does this have to do with Regidrago? Cliffs, frigid, harden..." Aqua had to be blunt. "We're trying to rescue this set of legendary pokemon from our fore bearers crime. But we don't got many clues. Regice, Regirock, Registeel, Regidrago, Regieleki and their creator Regigigas." She checked the logs of the golems. "Regice was found at an ocean and Registeel's tome was found bellow Hollow Bastion." Dipper gasped. "That's it, hey let me borrow that!" He was given the Dex and he read the descriptions. He started with Regirock. "The Rock Peak." Then Regice. "The Iceberg." Then Registeel. "The Iron." He felt a connection. "A Rock Peak in a mountain. An Ice Burg is found in the middle of an ocean and Iron can be found deep under ground, so deep that you'll need a drill to get through. We're going to need those three pokemon if we're to unlock this."
Ven almost dropped his mouth as Aqua was charmed. "Only if we reunite the three, can we open this door." Mabel snickered and used an elbow to nudge her brother. "This nerd's struck more gold than the guys in this mine!"
Dipper blushed. "Well, I was just thinking out loud and-" Aqua blushed in respect. "When you speak through what your heart is saying, you'd be surprised how much of it would be right. Dipper you've saved us a whole lot of time." She fanned herself. "I was in a loop-" and tapped herself on the knoggin. "Before someone called out the puzzle. Those three were right to have depended on these two."
Dipper was seeing Aqua more than impressed, blushed and scratched the back of his head. "Oh, ha, ha. It was... nothing." Mabel sighed. "Dipper, Dipper, what you doing impressing the queen here?" She thought about the ordeal with Regirock. "If they've been locked in places that turned into whole worlds, then we got to find one that has big mountains to explore." Aqua recalled a few worlds like that. "Doesn't narrow things down too much, but it's a start that our friends could use. Now, let us see what this crystal is going to do."
Ven placed the crystal before the door and with a focus of will, aimed his blade, taking a deep breath and going into a zen. The crystal came to life and floated into a shine, Aqua stood by her Lil' Bro and focused herself, causing the crystal to burst into a keyhole of steamy mists that grew into the cavern. Something stepped out with the presence of a giant, that same Walking Wake that they bested. Dipper and Mabel hid behind the Keybearers as the Primordial Beast shook her mane and took a deep breath of air. She exhaled and focused upon the band, she smirked to them and gave a light growl. (Nice work.) She looked where they came and insist. (I will make sure that only you all are allowed anywhere near the Drago. Until then, make sure that no pokemon is left behind. For the moment I see you climb, this cavern will be my ward.)
Phantump and Swirlix looked to each other strange, the ghost asked nervously. (You sound a lot nicer than I thought you were going to be.) The Walking Wake smiled to the band. (Talking about earlier? That's just my battle face, you all understand that?)
Swirlix barked to her fellow pokemon. (Yeah, yeah! Once we battle, we get serious!) Rotom went into Ven's Phone and explained the instructions. "We're going to make sure we've caught everyone down here before we scram. Once we leave, she's calling the turf!"
The band took that advice and searched around, finding nothing else down in the cavern beyond plant life. They put the used pokeballs into a bag and called their ground bound partners back before climbing up the rope. Reaching to the mine track and giving one more look to the land bellow, watching the Walking Wake look up to them with hope before allowing the mist to fog the strange world. With some clarity that there's an ally keeping watch of this corner of the world, Aqua asked. "Now, let's search that lake and try some fishing."
Back at Sanfansokyo
Ken, Xion and the Twilight Trio were surprised by the vivid report about a missing Golett that has wandered to a grass hill that is the sighting of a building with a giant base and a tall tower, overlooking a forest trail into the sea. Dewott spoke out loud. (So he might be around this Sycorax place?)
Ken pressed a button to show the image of a blonde woman in a two piece red dress. "Hello next major stop." Olette imagined how that makes sense. "A biotech company is at one of the cleaner parts of the city. It's logo is all about improving the environment and helping it adapt to the technology around here."
Xion imagined. "You think they might help us with this rescue project?" The white Squawkabilly wondered with caution. (Maybe, it's probably still a good idea to get Golett out of there.) Dewott understood as Ken could tell from the doubt. "We probably don't want them to have this on their radar, even if the news makes it really obvious. So, Hayner, Olette, Pence. Xion and I will handle this little mission, since we got some experience with stealth."
Hayner huhed as Pence felt that makes sense. "Until we get some training for that, we'll be in a lot of trouble if we end up getting caught." Ken nodded. "Yeah, it's already risky working out there with Pete getting the idea that you guys are on a journey to get stronger and the fact he's working with an S rank stalker. You, Sharpy and Night Count are in charge of getting it through the birds that they'll have to start working together with us. Any start would do, even if these birds clearly don't like each other."
The white Squawkabilly cringed. (Erk!) He sighed. (Tell me about it.) He realized something. (Hey, what are you wanting all of us for?)
Ken pressed a finger on a screen and slide it away before showing an entry of a cart being carried by the various birds. Including the Squawkabillies. The birds cohorts took interest in the idea, the leader asked Sharpy and the Night Count. (What's the cart for?) The Skarmory was glad that was asked as Xion called Tinker back. "I think this won't need us for long." Ken agreed and had Sharp Shell come along. "We'll bring back food."
The duo head out and Ken sent out Cyclizar. "Racer, we got a spot at the other side of the town that we got to get to asap! Are you ready?" The lizard wagged his tail in a pant as the boy escorted Xion and Sharp Shell for a ride on the back.
Buzz!
Descending down was Vikavolt, who was quiet pleased. (Saw you guys handle those birds, you were awesome!) Dewott tapped to Xion. (These kids were up there, while I had to be left behind. Say, you know of that green building on that hill?) The bug buzzed. (Yeah and this flier up above is getting bad vibes. Is a pokemon wandering over there?)
The Dewott nodded. (Some Golett. You lead, we follow.) Vikavolt grunted and turned, ready to be a guide, Xion folded up her hood, Ken activated his armor to conceal himself and give Cyclizar a light tap.
Racer slowly crawled and let the Vikavolt accelerate before sprinting across the road. As the riders reached further and further across the path, the Vikavolt noticed something appearing out of thin air and riding after the kids. Looking to be a swarm of tire blades that were spinning to intercept. The bug type crackled with his mandibles and fired upon the pack, bringing notice as Ken and Xion saw the pack. The girl tapped Ken on the back, brought about her blade and flung lightning bolts that burst upon impact, weakening the swarm into three. Ken used the chance to conjure Night Sky and bombard the remaining three with fast shots. Xion waved up to the bug for his good eye as Ken kept following through fast turns, stopping at one point due to a red light and people crossing, with some of them taking the time to notice the motorcycle's actually a giant lizard and brought out a phone.
Snap! Snap!
Once the five were given the clearing, they hurried along, Ken and the Vikavolt noticed turret like heartless latched onto buildings that lead to a curve. The dark foes fired at the instant and gave Racer a reason to sprint left and right to avoid the shots. Ken gave precise, returning shots as payback and aimed for the foes that were waiting for a turn. This went on for some time until a flock of UFO's appeared to intercept and fire. Sharp Shell gave one a fast air slash as Vikavolt dived after one and let loose a bug buzz. Xion used both of her legs to tap at the Cyclizar's hips. "Spin!"
The Cyclizar spun side ways to accelerate and rushed through the U.F.O's, shaking them loose before running straight ahead and leaving Ken with a daze. The boy turned to see the heartless swarm were in pursuit and tossed a swirling fire ball to blast them away. It wasn't long until they reached the borders of a facility on a grassy hill. Vikavolt turned from the gate and was careful to go over a fence. Ken brought about a wide shadow for the cameras and let Racer leap over. Entering into a mega corps territory. The lizard panted and came to a stop, letting the three off.
Ken phewed and looked over to Xion with admiration. "Someone has the skills to ride that shot gun." The girl blushed. "I have some practice with Tauros, you know." Dewott and Vikavolt hurried into the woods, the teenagers hurried to get out of sight of the cameras and Xion felt her foot go through grass in between a tree. She tripped and Ken hurried to catch her, noticing the foot had pressed into hollow soil and making a hole that spread through out a path. Not much wider than two legs worth.
Sharp Shell huhed and applied an air cutter to reveal a trial that slithered across the woods. (Looks like someone else has been here.)
Vikavolt hmmed at a crevice that wasn't particularly deep. (Got to be a long burrower, wish Emboar and Sableye were awake to help us.) Ken guessed. "Probably not a huge one, looks like he's a pro at digging through the earth and is long. Xion, are you okay?" The girl phewed. "I am, thanks to you. Let's see where this trial goes, because that has to be another pokemon." Ken used Night Sky as a way to clear away the loose dirt while Xion, Vikavolt and Dewott keep a look around for cameras or ambushes.
It was a few curves to a spot right under a tree, a Golett was escaping from the shadows, with a small, origami samurai. With white legs, a double white bladed katana for arms, yellow shoulder stripes and an orange head that resembles a helmet with white antennas. It's face looked like an yellow eye with in a mouth of an origami pyramid. It's central body was orange and the hilt of the blade had yellow triangles. The legs had pieces of orange at the calves. The samurai was looking around and was let go, he turned to the Golett and pressed his swords together in gratitude. ".siht etegrof tnow I. ereht fo tuo em gniteg rof uoy knahT."
The duo noticed a giant, red, metallic earth worm with a gray neck, blue spots across his sides and a light pink under. The samurai hissed. ".eert latem eht ni og reveN." He noticed humans with a band of pokemon, pressed his blades together like a samurai would a katana and took a protective stance. "?srevalsne eht thiw ouy erA"
Ken and Xion raised their hands up as Dewott insisted. (Hey, hey! Slow down, we can't pick up what you're saying.) The biker boy realized something and checked his Dex, having a fast scan on the strange three. Blip! "Kartana: The Drawn Sword Pokemon: Grass/ Steel. One of the Ultra Beast life-forms. This Ultra Beasts body, which is as thin as paper, is like a sharpen sword. It was observed cutting down a gigantic steel tower with one stroke of its blade!" "Orthworm: The Earthworm pokemon: Steel type. This Pokémon lives in arid deserts. It maintains its metal body by consuming iron from the soil. When attacked, this Pokémon will wield the tendrils on its body like fists and pelt the opponent with a storm of punches."
He checked the Golett. "Golett: The Automaton Pokemon: Ground/ Ghost. These Pokémon are thought to have been created by the science of an ancient and mysterious civilization. Its movements are powered by a mysterious energy. It has continued to move since ancient times, so its power may soon run out." He gasped. "Ooooh! I know a dude who would love to meet you."
The Kartana wasn't amused and looked upon the keyblade. "!tcejbo sselthrow siht tuc I" Ken saw the beast fly in a blink and with force of will, parried the creature. The boy gave a push of force and flowed to the trees, maneuvering around the Ultra Beast and getting to the back side.
Vanish!
Kartana disappeared and Ken turned to find the tiny samurai ready for a blow. Parry! Ken fell into the shadow of the tree, the Kartana looked down to find him missing and felt a breath behind him. Fling! Tap! A beast ball brought the samurai in and it fell to the earth. Shake. Click! The Kartana was captured and the Golett pressed his fists together to initiate a battle. Sharp Shell stood in the way. (Sorry, but we just started a fight!) He blasted a water pulse as the Golett focused a hand at a dropping Ken, who realized his keyblade was yanked from his hand.
Bonk!
Ken was hit in the back of the head by a poltergeist force and took his blade back. Xion sent out Volty and looked the worm in those blue eyes. "Give that Orthworm a thunder wave and follow with volt switch!" Pop! Out came the wooden Electrode that rolled after the worm and shocked him in paralysis. The Orthworm pressed his body against the Electrode and was given a fast shock of a switch. Xion brought out Lokix, who saw the large body and braced for a show down. "Skitter smack!"
The Lokix skittered for a fast smack as the worm was left in paralysis. The bug intercepted for a sucker punch as Ken showed a luxury ball and tossed it at the Golett. "Get in!"
Tap! Shake...shake...shake... click!
Xion saw the Orthworm at a daze from the sucker punch and tossed a great ball at the back of the steel types head. Securing a certain capture that concluded the scuffle. The teenagers phewed and picked up the balls as Vikavolt looked over to the building. (That wasn't normal. Was Golett getting that Kartana out of that place?)
Lokix looked confused as Sharp Shell gasped. (That's what Kartana was trying to tell us about? Was he trying to escape from that place?) Vikavolt nodded. (And if there was a reason for Golett to be scared of getting jumped, we might have made an oopsie.) Sharp Shell closed his eyes in a cringe. (Drat! There goes that plan.)
Ken and Xion put the balls into a bag and went over to the band of pokemon the boy noticed a fast moving camouflaged drone that was patrolling the jungle. Ken focused and drained out the light, bringing about a deep shadow before causing a blink. Bringing the crowd to an alley by the Bryn Base. Ken turned off his armor as Xion folded her hood back. "That was close, so what are we going to do? That Kartana is going to be peeved."
Ken pet the Cyclizar. "What ever it is, they need to be in the base where no one would look for him. Vikavolt, go into hiding. We'll still promised the guys we'll be back with something and that's going to get broke." The bug sneaked to the roof as Ken called Racer back and lead to the front door.
At a high tech office.
A gray eyed woman with long blonde hair, red clothes and a belt, was watching a surveillance video of a barely reveled, rag tag band of misfits. Disappearing under the cover of darkness in an instant. She had a brief view of a dark keyblade while having a pout. "Smart kid." She played around with her cup of tea as a certain man in a black suit that shows a rainbow R advised. "Most unusual, they didn't come here on a tour, didn't they Liv?"
The woman was thinking out loud. "Of course, they found our invasive friends right before we had the chance to." She showed a previous video of an Orthworm poking his head out of the dirt and of a Golett that was sprinting into cover. "I'm smelling opportunity. Pokemon that can be revived through fossils, regenerative powers our top scientists can only dream of replicating."
There was an earlier video of a blue dolphin by the shore. Having a water bubble ring around it's tail while it splashed and disappeared. Another was of Vikavolt talking with what looked to be a strange bird totem. "Adapting to just about any environment they've been put in and coming out on the top." She showed a video of a band of misfits fighting along side their partners during a Gyarados attack. "These kids found a way to be symbiotic with these creatures." She played a video of Pawmo evolving. "Evolving them even further. Seems they got a ways to go before they catch every one of them."
The man raised a brow and asked. "And how are you going to turn that into a profit for you?" Liv nodded in anticipation. "Thorough research and some more specimens to make breakthroughs. That kid should be easy to find if we can spot that key blade."
The stranger was more curious as a pretty fast running, nearly tripping employee with short blonde hair and a light green shirt came buy. "Miss Liv, we got some trouble down in the lab."
That was a bit of a surprise and Liv stood up. "Chris, what happened?" The man was nervous. "One of our specimens helped our origami... guest, break out of containment and none of us are able to find him!"
Liv pressed a remote to see what happened in surveillance, seeing a lab with a chomped open, heated piece of glass. All the while a creature with a fanged fish head for a head, a lizard tail for a neck and the lower half of a lizard for a body is cornered by some scientists, the man was not pleased. "That stubborn Dracovish."
Liv raised a hand. "I'll handle that one, that Kartana was caught once, I'm sure we got a more permanent means for this." She brought out a beast ball and had a plan in mind as the man advised. "See that is handled, we don't want an Ultra Beast like that on the loose for too long. It could blow our cover."
In a very noisy base.
The Twilight Town Trio were up in the attic, watching the Squawkabillies bicker and argue with one another. The white ones were on the verge of giving up as Sharpy was at the end of his patience and cawed. (Would you all knock it off! We got pokemon high above that need our help and you're all squawking over finding new nests!) The blue birds fell over from shock as the green leader had a nervous sweat. (But... but...)
Sharpy growled. (But nothing, we need some team work to make sure these kids can fly up there or nothing's going to get done!) The Night Count was glad he wasn't being yelled at and noticed Vikavolt crawling down. (Hey, how did the trip go?) The bug wasn't sure on what to say and crackled. (Some good, some bad. Just don't go anywhere near that hill place we've talked about.)
Flip!
The hatch bellow opened, showing a busy Xion with news. "Guys, we got something that needs to be seen bellow! Stat!"
Hayner didn't mind. "Thank you, you don't know how long we've been listening to all these birds." Xion climbed down as Olette asked the Skarmory. "Sharpy, talk some sense into these bird brains, we won't even get started if they're not flying as one flock." The yellow leader bird cawed. (One flock?! Are you serious?) The white leader gave a glare to him and flew down with the teenagers.
Letting his flock mates stay up to observe. The band saw Ken and Sharp Shell with a built in healing machine that is showing the three occupants. Golett, Orthworm and Kartana. Olette gasped. "Hey, what's that Ultra Beast doing out there?"
Ken turned to wave at the group. "Good question and it's why these two are up to hear this." The band turned to see Emboar and Sableye, the goblin explained bluntly. (Apparently two of them are going to need time getting use to this gig because they were escaping somewhere.)
Ken explained while showing the Sycorax building. "So, here's what we figured out. Golett was spotted sneaking this Kartana out of that place. Our robo friend has a move that explains how he's able to escape that alley way and how he's able to sneak in and out. Phantom Force lets a pokemon disappear and appear behind defenses."
Hayner understood. "Golett must have went in there, thinking he'll be safer in there." Xion corrected him. "But when Kartana saw us with our partners, he attacked Ken and started a rumble."
Ken imagined. "I think he was wanting to clash with my blade, thank goodness Kartana's can't just slice through those. As for Golett, all he needs is to see his potential partner and things will be just fine." He advised. "If we have to go anywhere near that building, keep your partners in their balls. Sharp Shell, this means you'll need to be in a ball. If any of those guys see us with a pokemon, that might lead to us figuring out what they're up to in a very horrible timing." He went to pick up the Orthworm's ball. "This guy seems to have been caught up in all this, so it's easier to figure what this dude can do."
Pop!
He let out the worm that was looking around confused at the new environment. (Woah!) Emboar grunted. (Hey ya! You guys might have gotten things mixed up.) Sableye nodded in agreement. (We're trying to rescue you all from the city.)
The Orthworm looked around to the relaxing atmosphere and curled. (Something wasn't feeling right about that place. You got any metals?) The duo shook their heads as Sharp Shell confessed. (No, but we know a place with a ton of those and lots of dirt.)
The worm gave a strange moo and smiled in glee, charming Olette. "You're kind of cute, Orthworm." Ken brought out the second ball. "Golett, come see our friends."
Pop!
Out came the robot that unrolled and saw he was in a pretty quiet place, with some fellow pokemon that are looking happy. (Location confirmed, it's not that prison pen.)
The Emboar gasped as Sableye climbed down and asked. (Wait, wait. Prison pen?) Golett nodded. (I escaped from the Bot Ring and I followed the way to a facility, it's not what it seems.)
Xion crouched to pet the golem. "You can tell us what you saw in there later, once you got time to calm down."
The Squawkabilly was more relieved that the golem was alright. (I'm just glad that those kids were able to find you before those guys did.) Ken took the Kartana's ball and kept it to his hip. "Just make yourself at home, I got a friend that would like to get a look at you and he won't be here till the evening."
He was ready to ask about something when a loud grunt was heard bellow. The humans hurried down to find the Sensei stepping back in surprise, as a pink crystal appeared in the center of the dojo. A flat platform that showed a glowing heart. The gleam noticed the arrivals and welcomed them. "Darting across the wilderness, the Sword of Justice protects nature from the recklessness of men. Will you face the Swift Grassland Blade?"
Ken tensed. "What is this doing in my base?" He was ready to approach. "Everyone, stay back. I got-" Xion and Olette caught the boy by the back of his vest. The brown haired girl commanded. "Hold it, hold it! You know how dangerous these things can get." The trio kept by the keybearers, showing the balls of the Hitmons. The Squakabilly flew to Xion's shoulder and wondered. (Sparkly thing?)
Ken took a breath and readied Arendelle's ball. "Alright, Sharp Shell, Sableye, Emboar, Sensei, keep back just in case." The Dewott and the others did as told as the five reached for the crystal and found themselves enveloped in light. Nearly blinding them until their vision showed a grassland with many trees. Showing a crystal taking form of a green deer with side ways horns, hooves that look like boots with pink linings and leaves at the side of her neck. Each with a pink tip.
The five knew of a spoken legend and Hayner asked. "Virizion?" The Grassland Blade looked at him with her pink eyes and bucked. The Twilight Town Trio sent out Hitmonchan, Hitmonlee and Hitmontop as Ken sent out the Froslass and Xion sent out the Squawkabilly. "Come on, we got a fight!" Pence ordered fast. "Top, fake her out!"
The Hitmontop rushed for a fake out clap, flinching her as Ken ordered. "Arendelle, icy wind and slow her down!" The Froslass flew to the Grassland's side and blew her back with icy wind before flying off, Hayner and Olette followed. "Lee, get her with a blaze kick!" "Chan, follow with an ice punch!"
Lee circled around the Virizion and delivered a blaze kick to the side as Chan hopped close to her and punched her with a fist of frost. Xion followed. "Now use tail wind!"
The bird flapped a breeze and flew at the grassland for a dual wing beat, the deer jumped away and focused a drain on the Froslass to replenish herself. Ken followed. "Ice shard!"
Fling!
The Froslass countered with fast ice, the Virizion jumped from Lee and Chan's combo as Pence called. "Mach punch and close the distance!" The Hitmontop did so and crouched to in caution as Xion pointed. "Squawkabilly, quick attack to get up close!"
Rush! Smack!
The Virizion kept in a focus and fired a four way barrage of an aura sphere, knocking Top and the bird away while forcing Xion to get in front of Pence and channel a barrier. "Icy wind!"
Woosh!
A breeze of chilling wind brought the deer to a stumble as Pence ordered. "Triple kick!" Top flipped upside down and delivered a triple kick as the Squawkabilly struck with dual wings. Causing the Virizion's body to shatter into crystal and shrink into something shorter.
The grasslands changed into an abandoned facility with overgrowing grass. "Seekers of the Marrow, stand tall against the unknown with nerves of Iron and cut through these Leaves!"
The figure was in changed, though the forehead, neck leaves and feet lining glowed pin. The eyes opened to reveal pink and a pulse of electricity shoved the light away. Revealing a robotic Virizion. Her forehead and neck leaves extended into sharp blades and in the blink of an eye, she rushed through Sqawkabilly and Top. The duo didn't feel much, save for an implosion of psychic power that blasted the two in a knock out. The robot focused on Chan and Lee before giving a vanish and repeating the same attack of psyblade, knocking them out as Ken was startled. "Yikes! Arendelle, keep a distance and use the wind. We're going to need some speed control!"
Xion hurried to get the bird up and sent out Volty. "Come on we got to try a thunder wave!"
Pence called Top back and sent Lick out as Hayner and Olette called their fighters out for Maschiff and Shroodle. The dog gave an intimidating bark that drew attention to the robot that was blasted by the wind. Olette called. "Give a sneaky parting shot and we have her!"
The Shroodle grunted, gave some spite and retreated, in place was Yeaster, who gave a fierce bark. The robot rushed at Maschiff and the Fidough to engage in close combat, Pence asked. "Lick, shadow sneak!" Xion followed. "Thunder wave!" A sucker punch of shadow sent the robot in a spin and right for the Electrode's thunder wave, leaving her paralyzed while Machiff bit the machine in the back of the leg and gave Fidough an opening to play rough. Ken blushed and asked. "Shall we do the honor?" Olette barked. "Forget that, take her down!"
Ken interpreted that as yes. "Arendelle, a little hex ought to show this machine that we're a whole unit!" The Froslass flew by and with a focus, cause the robot to suffer a burst of super natural power. She fell to her knees and powered down, causing the whole zone to glimmer brightly and bring the band to the real world.
Left behind was a pink treasure chest where the crystal was, the band were a little injured, but nothing Audino or the healing machine won't fix. Sensei realized (You faced that adversary and won?)
Hayner felt his adrenaline lessening. "Yeah, I think we just beaten that." Olette noticed something going on with Yeaster and the Shroodle, they were giving a glow. Yeaster grew and took the shape more akin to a dachshund while Shroodle was in the shape of a small lemur monkey.
Pew!
In their place was a brown dachshund that looks like a loaf of bread, with fur under her neck that look akin to buttery yellow and a similar patch of fur at her tail. Her underside and nails matched that same color. Shroodle was turned into an aye aye like creature with glassy light green eyes that have a purple eye shadow, a white face with a black snout, a top half that resembles a black hoodie that covers the ears and a lower half that was of light green and white stripes, going all the way to a long tail. His arms were of the light green and his paws were of pink, with long middle fingers of blue. The monkey hopped in joy as the dachshund howled.
Xion checked the two with the dex. "Dachsbun: the dog pokemon: Fairy type. The surface of this Pokémon's skin hardens when exposed to intense heat, and its body has an appetizing aroma. The pleasant aroma that emanates from this Pokémon's body helps wheat grow, so Dachsbun has been treasured by farming villages." The dog raised her snout proudly as the girl read on the other. "Grafaiai: the Toxic Monkey Pokemon: Poison/normal type. The color of the poisonous saliva depends on what the Pokémon eats. Grafaiai covers its fingers in its saliva and draws patterns on trees in forests. Each Grafaiai paints its own individual pattern, and it will paint that same pattern over and over again throughout its life." She read the ability Dachsbun has. "Read this, Yeaster has the ability Well Baked Body. She takes no damage from fire moves and instead, it increases her defense stats by a lot."
Olette found that helpful. "And there's a move that cashes in on defense too! Covering her weakness to steel." The Grafaiai bobbed his head. (Sounds pretty good.) He focused more to the box. (Now, what did that stuff left behind?)
Ken went over and signaled that the band step back, he opened the chest to find a pink crystal and a note, the crystal has a symbol of three interconnected ovals. The boy read the note out loud. "Find the chamber under the guiding light and plant the Iron Leaves, it will bloom until it is time for the electron to charge again." He repeated a phrase. "Under the light. Bellow the light. There's hardly any free time."
Olette guessed. "Under a guiding light. I think there's a light house over the bay that's across the bridge." Hayner explained. "Those things use a light to guide ships during the night, so they know not to crash somewhere." He realized what he said as Ken snapped his fingers. "A guiding light so if I see where that is, there might be a tunnel underneath it? I think that will lead us to somewhere." He called to Sharp Shell. "We'll be back, with food this time!"
Xion puffed her cheeks. "Ken, Ken! You know that we stay together." Hayner agreed with that. "Even if you're likely going to be diving deep into the water." Ken blew out in agreement. "Alright, alright. Like last time, you guys stay here, make sure those birds are going to behave and layout our plan for operation: salvage that cart! If someone gets any bright ideas, Bryn will call me." That's understandable, Hayner smirked in mischief. "And try to spend sometime together. A port town sounds perfect for a getaway, if you know what I mean."
Xion blushed in agreement as Ken turned to the hue of a tomato. "I guess once we figure this out, we would have some free time, laying low until some of that heat dies down." The tomboy asked. "Let's get Racer a refreshment and we'll be on the road!"
A few minutes later.
A Racer who's had some road was perked and hydrated from some water, Ken and Xion were out of their disguise and had helmets on as the boy had Night Sky transform into a biker seat. "Alright, over the red bridge and we'll check the Lighthouse out. Gyarados is in the bag?" Xion nodded. "Yep. He'll like the peace and quiet for that big exercise." The boy focused on the road as Vikavolt overheard. (You're heading to that Light House over to the sea?) Dewott heard and nodded. (Yeah, you want to help us with Gyarados while we're out there?) The bug grunted. (I think I know what you're about to ask for, let me say a few and this will be a nice trip.)
RWWR! Sprint!
The Cyclizar sprinted in a more even paced route to the great bridge gate. Much to Ken's relief and to Xion's delight, there wasn't any further ambushes along the way. Just a pleasing road trip to a route heading to a small docking town on the bay. With a light house across a wide gate of two stone pillars. The port itself felt nice and quiet, with civilians and workers getting by their day. Racer slowed down into a halt as he went for a dock and let the riders off. Ken smiled wide and looked to the horizon before calling the Cyclizar back. "Go rest up in here, we're in for the fun part!"
Xion brought out the Gyarados's ball and tossed far. A net opened and Gyarados was sent out in a splash that rippled across the water. The serpent coiled and rose up to see the two that unleashed him, Xion waved as Ken apologized. "Sorry we didn't do this sooner, we had a lot to deal with." The Gyarados snorted with guilt. (I thought you were mad at me after the other night.)
The Dewott shook out a no. (Hey, hey! You couldn't control yourself and that wasn't even your fault.) Xion felt what was said. "That was on us, for thinking you were ready for something that big so soon. We're in a more quiet place now."
Ken nodded. "We couldn't just let you out and make the problems go away. I mean, you're that big and you got the fierce power to back it up. That's why we have to hide you. There isn't anyone who's going to try that on you again and if someone so helps as comes after you, they'll figure out that you're NOT the scariest thing here."
The Gyarados was taken aback by the change of tone near the end and watched Xion wrap an arm around the boy. He looked eye to eye with Ken to ask. (So, what are you wanting from me?)
The boy pointed at the light house island past the gate. "We have a clue about something beneath it and we need a ride across. I'm just learning how to use gliders, so I'm thinking we can start over with your training. Take it nice and slow, with just three people on your back. No saddles, no devices, just something simple with Vikavolt being a back up. You were well behaved until that robot kid messed it all up, so I'm trusting you handle this well. Okay?"
The Gyarados looked over to the light house and lowered his head, inviting the three to get on while Vikavolt kept watch from above. (Seriously, you're doing great.)
With the band on the back, the Gyarados rippled with the strength of a water fall and set to swimming. Things were going well for a moment, until Ken spotted ripples in the water, bringing about five blue electrical angler fish. Xion looked up to the sky to find flock of six winged, humanoid heartless with electrical talons for feet. Dewott cursed as Gyarados was getting nervous at the lightning. Vikavolt asked. (Air or water?)
Ken pointed up. "Shoot those Thunder Harpies down, me and our friend will handle the Anglers!" He took the beast ball and let out a Kartana that was a bit surprised for a moment, saw the humans, pokemon and the angler heartless. Ken gave a firm order and pointed to them. "Kartana, me and Xion will focus on shooting these fish down, if you see any of them crackling, then they're close enough to shoot back. Cut them down!" The Kartana focused upon the heartless and pressed his limbs together. "ecno siht tsuj, yebo lliw I tub, em dnammoc ot noitisop on ni era uoY."
Ken pulled the trigger upon the anglers and fired a wide beam of star light, vaporizing one in an instant and provoking the others to swim forward. Xion turned her blade into a bow and arrow, stringing up to fire lightning bolts at the fish as Vikavolt jetted to the sky and blasted the heartless in a dog fight. Sharp Shell slashed up air to assist.
The trade of shots and maneuvering lasted shortly until a second wave of Thunder Harpies descended down fast as a combined cloud of bolts. Splash! Out from the water was something unexpected, a blue dolphin with two tone eyes of pink and purple, ascending under the storm as an aqua jet and letting loose a boomburst noise, setting the Harpies off course as Ken used that as his chance to glide after the foes. Joining with Kartana as they sliced into a pack, Ken turned Night Sky into a fiery katana and zipped across the foes as rays of sunlight, looking well in sync with the building light of the Ultra Beast.
Each heartless began to slide in two and burst into flames, putting an end to that threat. Ken glided back to Gyarados with the Kartana being impressed. "tuc, tuC! Tuc tfiws a ekam uoY." Ken picked up on something and rephrase in his head. "You make a swift cut?"
Gyarados was ever closer to the light house as Xion had a look to find the dolphin splashing into the water and turning to keep up. "Thanks for the help there, one lightning bolt would be bad news for us!" Vikavolt noticed a final barricade of giant anglers and accelerated to bombard with energy balls. The Anglers fired a giant bolt at the Vikavolt and forced him to dodge, the fish turned at the approaching ferry and right as they were about to charge, an orb of fire appeared and sprayed caustic acid upon them. On a squint of the eyes, the band saw an Iron Moth intercepted the heartless, glowing in green power and vaporizing the fish on the left. Vikavolt joined with a bug buzz blast, leaving one giant to deal with. Ken and Xion kept side to side, pressed their blades together and shot a bolt of fire and lightning. On impact, it burst into lava and electricity, causing the heartless to dissolve and release the captive heart. The duo sat down as Gyarados hurried to the light house island, he coiled around and lowered himself as Xion watched the dolphin catch up and waved to him, Vikavolt and the Iron Moth. "Nice work guys."
Ken nodded with her. "We might have been in trouble if you and our mecha angel didn't show up." The Iron Moth blushed. (Mecha what?) Ken repeated himself. "Mecha angel, on the count that you showed up to help us when we needed it most and those six wings. My Sis can sprout six wings of light and believe me, you're seeing Heaven's work."
Xion nudged to her boy friend. "Ken, don't. He just knew we needed the help, that's all." She looked down to the water. "Under the guiding light, it has to be deep into the sea around this spot." She conjured air bubbles. "Open wide, Ken." The boy did so, Xion had one float into his throat as Xion applied her own. Ken looked over to the Ultra Beast and was ready to call him back. "Alright, some of us are going to be heading under water, hide back in here so no one will spot you."
The Ultra Beast asked back. "?em fo gnihtemos dnammoc uoy niagA?" Ken repeated himself. "I'm not commanding anything, it's a request because I'm picking up that very dangerous people are in the city and some of them might be looking for you." The Kartana gasped and floated. "!ecoiv ythgim a chuS" He approached and let himself be called back. Ken pressed the button to shrink the ball down as Xion blushed. "How did you figure out what he was saying?"
Ken put the ball in his pocket. "He was talking backwards. I'm nervous about the fact we might have peeved someone without knowing it and we got good reasons to be jumpy."
Dewott rolled his eyes and jumped into the water with the dolphin as Xion gave a quick read of the new companion. "Finizen: The Dolphin Pokemon: A Water Type. It likes playing with others of its kind using the water ring on its tail. It uses ultrasonic waves to sense the emotions of other living creatures. Its water ring is made from seawater mixed with a sticky fluid that Finizen secretes from its blowhole." Xion wrapped an arm around Ken and gave a wide smile before putting her phone away. Ken smiled back and lead to a jump into the water, the boy kept a swim to Dewott as the girl swam by the good willed Finizen. Xion asked the fliers and the Gyarados. "If anyone dark and scary comes around here out of nowhere, go wild! We'll be back up soon."
The kaiju grunted as Vikavolt flew to perch on the lighthouse and the Moth went on patrol. The divers swam around to find a chasm and dived down, with Finizen using a sonar, he was able to pick up something of an echo, deep to where the sun wasn't shining. The four found a hole under the island, one that is narrow enough to trap someone as big as Terra. Ken swam in first, followed by Xion, then Finizen and the Dewott, the tunnel guided them up and they swam for what felt like a while. The tunnel opened to a wider space and they splashed to the dark surface in a cave. Dewott breathed out. (That was too quiet!)
Ken agreed as the Finizen blew out of his blowhole and whined. (Spooky.) The boy swam to admit. "At least we have each other." Xion nodded and climbed to find a passage way into the cave, the Finizen leaped to land and used his aqua jet to zip across, earning a giggle. "That's one determined dolphin." Ken whispered. "You think there's something special about this pokemon?" Xion gave a quick look on the Dex, finding an evolution that is near identical, save for a heart. She saw there was something to press and gasped before putting the device away. "There is, I think our friends might want to look at him."
Ken didn't wish to be spoiled on the surprise. "He's got the makings of a super hero." He saw Xion show her teeth at the mention of the phrase. "He totally turns into a super hero?"
The girl nodded as Dewott sighed and waved. (Come on, love birds, we can worry about that later.)
The duo followed into a chamber with a braille door, above it shows the dot pattern of Regieleki. Ken used his phone to decipher the language. "Through the rising cliff, the frigid sea and the harden earth, will this door open. Only when we unlock their secrets, will we become the kings of the worlds heart." He scoffed. "And where are you guys now?"
Xion thought about what the puzzle means. "We got Orthworm, the water types and Froslass. But what do we have that's a rising earth?" Ken asked back. "Is this talking about a ground and rock type?" He recalled. "Wait a minute, those dudes found Regice in the middle of the ocean?"
Xion remembered. "Then Sora and his crew found Registeels door deep under the bastion." Ken clapped. "So eliminating that, could Regirock be somewhere in a high cliff somewhere?" Dewott felt his heart skip. (Like a mountain?) Finizen looked confused. (A mountain?) Dewott nodded. (Yeah, think like a rocky hill that's as big as the sky scrappers in the city, maybe even bigger.)
Ken thought to himself. "Well, we've been to places with big mountains. They're not everywhere, but now that we know. We should get this logged for the dudes elsewhere. Because this is big." He went to pull out the crystal of the mind as Xion asked with pity. "Just why, why go through all the trouble of locking the Regis away? What did they even do?"
Ken sighed bitterly. "From what I'm able to gather, those so called protectors of the Light have always talked about me, me, me. This is more power and it looked like they wanted to bury a failed attempt at taking it. Them and that stupid war they caused has bitten us all in the-"
Xion felt that was more than enough. "But now we have what we need to set it right. Place the crystal at the door and I'll help you out." Ken did so, turned to his girlfriend and called to their blades. Focusing as one and going into a zen, the crystal shined and opened into a keyhole that let loose a green power that caused vines to eat away at a particular wall. At a corner of the way they came. Stepping out was the robotic Virizion, Dewott took a step back as Ken had the chance to read a log. "Iron Leaves: The Triple blade Pokemon: Grass/Psychic. According to the few eyewitness accounts that exist, it used its shining blades to julienne large trees and boulders. Many of its physical characteristics match those of a Virizion from the future that was covered in a paranormal magazine." He dismissed his blade. "You're another one of those robots."
The Iron Leaves nodded and gave a proud smile. "And you'll find that unlike most of the others, I'm very aware of what I am."
Crack!
The vine eaten wall cracked upon light. The four felt the feminine voice in their mind, the Iron Leaves sighed blissfully. "Once again, when you're called for the challenge, you and your friends banded together and prevailed. As per the agreement, I will ensure that no one trespass upon Regieleki's tomb, until it is time for him to be free and be ready to meet you all."
Finizen felt gratitude and hope with in the iron machine. (That's a sure promise, you sound awfully nice.) The Iron Leaves appreciated the compliment as Xion felt a worry. "The Dex is kind of weird when it talks about you all, you've come from that Labyrinth, but what are you?"
The Iron Leaves sighed and hesitated to answer the girl's question, before closing her eyes in a decision. "Know this phrase well, for this will allow you to understand the others. We are Paradox! Delivered from Oblivion by our Lady, molded by the will of the Labyrinth's Lord and tasked by the Almighty. There is a legacy that will poison your future, if you don't learn what you need to learn."
Ken sighed. "What do we need to figure out? Some jerks from ages ago have done something... evil and we're learning everything on what not to do as the Protectors of the Worlds." The Iron Leaves nodded to him. "Precisely, but the roots are more twisted than you realize. Guiding the ones who wish to stand by you, regardless of whether they've been chosen or not, is the first step on learning what should be done. To keep the hearts of all, united."
Ken hummed gleefully as Xion envisioned. "We were doing good on that, but we almost got killed by a trap this morning. So we're taking it easy while preparing for something bigger." She whispered to her boyfriend. "Aren't we?"
Ken huffed. "Yeah, I think we've set up enough for another day."
Crack!
The wall to the outside world opened up. "Find a way to call for help if there's trouble. We're not that far away." He and the Iron Leaves turned in mutual respect as Xion and the water types followed, out of the hole and to a drop, where Gyarados, Vikavolt and the Iron Moth awaited. The teenagers and the Dewott jumped on the back of the serpent as Finizen slid out to the water. The bug asked. (You found something and it let you out of there?) Dewott nodded. (Yeah, just don't go in there without an invitation.)
The Iron Moth looked on to the hole kept by. (This wouldn't be too bad of a place to observe for a while.) Xion looked to the dolphin and tapped Gyarados on the head. "Let's all get to the dock, Fenizen, there's something we should talk about." The water type didn't think much of it and swam back to the dock, finding something that was zipping around in a circle. A cylinder engine with what looked to be a lower body of rocks with wheels. It had a set of yellow eyes on the side of it's head, a hole on the front resembling an oval mouth and a tail of an exhaust pipe with purple. Spewing smoke as it was eager for something. (Race! Race!)
Ken checked the Dex for more details. "Varoom: The Single-Cyl Pokemon: Steel/Poison. The steel section is Varoom's actual body. This Pokémon clings to rocks and converts the minerals within into energy to fuel its activities. It is said that this Pokémon was born when an unknown poison Pokémon entered and inspirited an engine left at a scrap-processing factory." The boy and Dewott gasped at once. "It's a tiny engine!"
He jumped off with a vision. "Say, if you want to race, you're going to have to get into this thing first!" He brought out a quick ball, the Varoom panted at the orb, zipping as Ken waved it. "Show me how fast you are by going to that pole over there!" He pointed to a small pole with rope tied to it, the Varoom turned to rev up and race. Ken fed wind to the quick ball and threw it at the back, securing a sneaky capture and letting the boy laugh. "Ha! That's three out of five!" He went to pick it up as Xion turned to the Finizen. "Listen, there's some friends of ours that are wanting to help the pokemon lost out in the city. We've all been thinking that we can get some work done if we can get a partner for them. There's this one guy who would definitely like what you're capable of becoming. Do you mind putting up with that for a while?"
The Finizen gasped and lowered his eye lids. (So you know about the story? Where among the Finizen's one takes the mantle as the hero of the sea? The Palafin!) Gyarados gasped. (Palafin? Those guys are cool.) Vikavolt recalled. (Those solo rescuers that help out across the sea when someone gets lost. The Seafarers say those guys are pretty big heroes when ever you meet one.) He regretted. (But good luck in having them come with you in a dungeon unless there's a good reason. They don't like it when anyone tries to watch them... go super.)
Finizen is quite nervous. (I'm the only Finizen around the city, so someone's got to do it.) He blushed. (I still got a ways.) Vikavolt buzzed. (Well that's perfect, since one of those guys have a ways as well.)
Gyarados grunted in agreement as Xion ready a dive ball and tossed it at the dolphin, capturing him easily. The Gyarados used his tail to splash the ball back to Xion as Ken returned to see that. "Nice work. Is there anything else you want to do while we're over here? Or should we get back with what was promised?"
Xion blushed and noticed someone standing by the entrance of a dock, overhearing enough. A teenage boy with short, smooth platinum blonde hair, a gray shirt and black jeans. Ken and the group noticed and turned to see the stranger approach, the one armed boy recognized the lavender eyes and kept a guard. "You! You're the guy who gave us that blood bag last night!"
The boy clapped eagerly. "Please, please, save the medal for another day." Dewott took a stand as Vikavolt and Gyarados gave a neutral, if cautious, stare. Xion took a stand in between the boys. "How long have you been watching us?"
The stranger looked to the Iron Moth that was having a relaxed stare. "Only enough to know that guy was going somewhere, I put one and two together and followed." Ken asked. "Buuut you started tracking us when you saw us race around a few times? Only to get lost when you realize we didn't go back the way we came?"
The stranger shrugged in a slump. "You got me there. I can't exactly track someone who can step through shadow without using the excess to invite other things. You must be Ken... or Kendry?" He looked to the girl. "And Xion?"
The duo nodded as Dewott realize something and raised his scallop shells. (Where did you learn that?!) The boy smiled over to the Dewott. "You can say I'm not a local either. Call me Joshua."
Ken and Xion were unnerved that the stranger knew what Sharp Shell was talking about, the girl barked. "Just what the heck are you doing?" Joshua smiled smugly. "Funny you say that, I've heard about you two and of the Guardians you're friends with." He raised four fingers. "Bringing two worlds back from the grip of death. Killing an immortal Daemon Prince. Bringing a fragmented heart into completion."
Ken barked. "I had nothing to do with that last one." Joshua laughed. "I'm sure you two haven't." He crossed his arms and had a serious scowl. "Oh I know, but you know once a heart is shattered like that, it's as good as gone. Can only be done by the power of a Keyblade, whether directly or otherwise."
The Iron Moth's wings twisted at that comment as Joshua showed the fourth. "And this one's a favorite, uncovering the actual elements of Light and Darkness. Nerds have spent their whole lives trying to figure that out and you all have busted it in a few months. Nice work, Mr. Reaper and our divine Warrior of the Heavens."
Ken's oddly charmed that he's called by one of his titles while Xion was flustered. The one armed boy confessed. "If we didn't, we'd wouldn't be here today. So... I guess I'm meant to ask, how do you know of that?"
Joshua admitted. "You guys got famous in certain parts of the cosmos and then we read up on a news paper about this one. You can say I have friends, at a town for the homeless, that are doing a little favor, whether they know it or not."
He got closer as Gyarados took a sniff and backed away, the teenagers kept a stand as Joshua brought out a card. "If you're looking for work, find me around here." Ken took the card and read it. "This is by the Noodle Burger." Joshua stepped back with a charmed blush. "I'm asking, because when ever someone like you uncovers something the oh mighty kings have covered up, the real heroes find a way to actually fix the problems." He looked to Sharp Shell. "Keep these two out of trouble until they get back to their friends. What ever they dug up is going to shake the status quo."
It was an odd request to give to a pokemon and Joshua was ready to walk off. Ken erked. "Hey, wait." Joshua waved. "There's a bus back to the City, I'll be there just fine."
He took off and left the crew with a few important questions. Ken sighed, took a panel to place by the Gyarados and pressed a button to make it extend into a plate. He brought out a large bag of dried shrimp. "Just when we thought we've seen enough. Anyways, Gyarados, this is for behaving as well as you have."
He gave a slash to the tip of the bag and poured it on the plate. "The rest of us will have something when we get back. We might want to pass along the stuff Joshua said, because we really don't need more surprises." Xion agreed. "Friends of his in a town for the homeless. Is he talking about Traverse?"
Ken nodded. "The one and only that fits the bill." He tip the plate and poured the shrimp into the Gyarados's mouth as the Iron Moth looked afar to find a bus waiting.
Back at Gravity Falls
The Wayfinder duo, the Pines and their floating partners were climbing up the rope, entering the abandon church and finding the Brute Bonnet half asleep at the entrance. Keeping guard, as the four got up, the Brute woke up to see the four and waddled out the door to caw. The band exit the Chruch and found Bursty climbing down with a bit of a surprise. Dipper was impressed by the good will. "Hey you were keeping guard over this, nice." Pew!
Kadabra teleported to make himself known as Ven gave his thanks. "This was our one and only convenient way into that cave. Thank you for watching over us."
The Blacephalon closed his eyes to make a smile. (If we got chased out, Togekiss and Kadabra would have came for you.) Kadabra placed a finger to his head, encouraging the humans to do so and listen. "I've heard of the last time your enemy has tried to flush one of you into danger. He knows not, how many of us are on your side. You've returned with a trove?"
Aqua had a dusk ball ready. "Indeed. Prehistoric pokemon that wouldn't survive in that place if they evolved. I've found a friend that could lead to some interesting techniques."
She sent out Glimmet, who was adjusting her eyes to the surface light. (The surface, beyond the boundary of the cave. What awaits now?) She looked to the Brute and was surprised as Aqua asked outloud. "So, once we get these guys stored away we should go for the lake to finish our search. Maybe Kit would have an idea on what we should do, since we can't just head back."
Ven spotted the mentioned man under a tree, looking impressed at first, until he realize he's been discovered. He hurried to make his escape as Ven promised. "Once we're ready, I'm going to get that other thing finished. It's time Togekiss becomes an official member!"
At the vow, Togekiss jumped off the Church and tried to take off, only for Ven to bring out the jet ball and give it a toss to the back of the birds underside. Tap! It brought her in and fell to the earth, giving a shake and launching fire works. Ven flowed to a tree and jumped high to catch the ball, the supply strap and back flipped in style. Mabel to glitter her eyes as Ven showed the ball off in a cheer. "Got her!"
Pop!
He let out the dazed Togekiss that was figuring out what happened, he gave her a pet on the back. "Now we don't have to be worried for you. Do you want to help settle the rescued pokemon with us?" Togekiss shook and chirped. (Of course!)
A few minutes later.
The band of four let the wild pokemon take off back to the Shack and headed over to the lake, using a boat to row across the water. Dipper was using the Dex to see what kind of pokemon they're in for. "Let's see, a duck with a psychic head ache. A Slowpoke, Vaporeon. Lapras." He showed the last one. "Our typical Loch Ness Monster."
Aqua recalled the pokemon she studied. "A plethora of water pokemon that are well over a hundred. Any of them could be here." Dipper scrolled fast to see that a lot of pokemon are indeed water types, Shadey went out of his ball and took the form of Sora while looking at the logs with Dipper. He pressed a finger at one particular and stopped it at the image of a bipedal black fox with similar colors to a Zorua. "Or we can find more spooky things that just above the waters. Press the alt."
Dipper didn't wish to argue and checked, showing the exact same fox from the previous night. "This is a Zoroark's ghost?" He pressed it. "Hisuian: The Baneful Fox pokemon: Normal/Ghost. With its disheveled white fur, it looks like an embodiment of death. Heedless of its own safety, Zoroark attacks its nemeses with a bitter energy so intense, it lacerates Zoroark's own body." He had a look at gorgeous artwork of the fox hiding itself in the snow. "Attacks with illusions so terrifying it would drive you insane." Dipper wasn't amused. "Shadey, why are you showing us this? That Zoroark is out there!"
Shadey giggled. "I'd thought you'd like to know since one of them saved us last night. Kit knows more about this pokemon. They were forced out to the wilderness by people who were scared of their powers and things..." he frowned more grim. "didn't go so well for them."
Aqua guessed the rest of the story. "So they haunted the ancient lands, having a vendetta on those very people and the pokemon that competed with them. They don't open their hearts to many, so why would this one try to aid us?"
Ven knew why. "Because he knows we're not those kinds of people?" Shadey shifted his eyes upwards as Aqua requested. "Alright, that's far enough."
The band were out in the middle of the lake and readied to cast their poles. Waiting a while in the serene quiet until Mabel felt a bite. She reeled in a a small, gray loach with blue lips, blue whiskers going over the head and blue fins. It has a zig-zag pattern to note. Mabel was glittery eyed at what she recognized. "A Barboach!"
Dipper tapped a net ball a fish wiggled, catching it with little problems. The next few minutes went by and Dipper felt a heavy tug, he reeled and felt something letting go. That something popped it's head out from the water. A small, blue sea serpent with soulful brown eyes, fins for ears and a pearl on the forehead. The serpent had a white nose covering a mouth and a long belly of white, Mabel chucked a quick ball in a yell, securing a capture on the strange critter. Aqua's eyes glistened. "I've heard of this one, nice job catching that Dratini."
The band gave a dorky smile before continuing along. Aqua and Ven felt something tug at their strings at the same time, they reeled and felt nothing coming up before casting again.
In another minute and a turn of the wheel, they felt something pulling strong. Aqua oofed and stood up. "This isn't isn't giving a budge." Ven felt the pole jerk forward before standing up, watching the pole bent, Aqua watched hers bend and pulled. Ven nearly fell over and he jerked back, Aqua felt that pull yank her into the water.
SPLASH!
The three humans flinched as Shadey broke out of his disguise and dived in after her, giving Aqua something to grab onto as she reached to the surface of the water. She brought her blade out and looked around, seeing a lily pad with a bubble and popping out the head of a green humanoid with a face and hands of blue, nails of red, an upper lip looking like a red beak. The humanoid laughed at his prank, not aware that Aqua brought a dive ball out and used her water magic to jet it at his face, capturing him on the spot. Aqua looked around for good measure, grabbed the ball and notice a something large and with a shell swimming right under her and carrying her up. A blue plesiosaur with curled ears, a horn on her forehead and a white chin that went all the way down her neck. Looking quite majestic as she helped Aqua get back to the boat, the blade master showed the ball. "A Lombre thought he could pull our strings. Hah!"
Ven admitted. "He had that coming." Dipper had a sweat. "Hoo boy, that's been hiding in here?" He checked the details on the specimen that was singing a tune. "Lapras: The Transport Pokemon: Water/Ice. Able to understand human speech and very intelligent, it loves to swim in the sea with people on its back. It may sing an enchanting cry if it is in a good mood."
That melody was proof that the Lapras was more than pleased to see them. Aqua giggled, charmed that the giant helped her out. "Well, this little lake is no place for a darling like you." She sighed. "Sorry it took so long for us to get here."
The Lapras didn't mind. (You're the humans Kit spoke of, you were bound to come here eventually.) Shadey took the form of Sora and translated. "She's thanking you and she's been waiting for this to happen." He asked nervously. "Do we got to fight? We had an adventure today already." Lapras sighed sternly and swam ahead. (T'is just our way.) Ven and Aqua played rock paper scissors to see who would take the challenge, the boy won two out of three and pointed onward. "Shadey, let's get this done and let's get this done quick."
Shadey turned back to his true form and smiled wide. (Oh yeah! I got something that can do some damage on someone this heavy!) Lapras blushed. (Hey, I'm not fat.) Shadey realized what he said and waved. (Sorry, you're just big is all.)
Ven knew the move Shadey was thinking about. "Give her a grass knot and punch her in foul play!" Shadey's eyes are glowing green and he dashed to the water, bringing about long blades of leaves to use as a platform. The Lapras gasped and felt herself be dragged under the water before countering with an ice beam, Shadey side stepped and watched the reptile rise up to show sharp angry teeth. Shadey gave a punch of foul play and kicked back in a u-turn, he gave a parting taunt.
(Bye bye!)
Ven raised the ball and let out Rotom. "Good work, now stun her with thunder wave and we have this!) The ghost zipped across and stunned Lapras, leaving her exposed to a toss of a dive ball. Shake...shake...shake... click!
The bystanders were quite impressed and Aqua used her water magic to bring the ball in. "You got her effectively and squarely. I'd say you've gotten the hang of those."
Ven was quite charmed. "That grass knot was Shadey's idea anyways." He brought about a net to scoop up the ball and put it in the box with the others. "A fight like that has to have flushed out the rest."
Dipper felt it was warranted. "I'd be getting out of here too if I saw grass shoot out like that, but let's look around."
The row across the lake was uneventful otherwise, with naught a sign of anything beyond regular fish. At an island with a totem pole, was a strange yellow light in the fog. Mabel noticed and called out. "Hey, what's over there." On a closer inspection, there was something of three glowing gems shining along with the light, it flew over into the forest. The band reached to the shore and followed that glow, finding it was making no effort to hide itself as it reveled a twin tailed, yellow skin fairy with yellow hair that resembles a brain. It's eyes were closed he had three red gems, one on the forehead and two at the tails.
A voice echoed in their minds. "I've been expecting thee. Welcome, Chosen of the Original One." Aqua nearly covered her mouth in a gasp. "And you're Uxie, the Being of Knowledge." She looked to a tree and found a golden symbol of Arceus. "You didn't come here by accident, have you?" Uxie shook his head. "I was assigned by his will. To ask something of thee. Thou will know when it has begun and when it is finished."
The first question: "How has thee, discovered us?"
Aqua answered with a clear memory. "Through Kairi, when she met the Seafarers. It might have been by pure accident, but their skills and knowledge has proven insightful."
Uxie nodded and asked the second question. "How has thee, realize we hold more than we seem?"
Aqua found that another simple one to answer. "When Azu tried to communicate with us through that box, which contains the letters of the Unown."
Uxie asked. "What are the Unown? Do not use the Dex."
Ven looked around, hoping no one is listening. "Pokemon who are letters. Alone, no one expects them to be much because they are a letter. But together, they make words and sentences. One sentence, can make a difference."
Uxie nodded. "One sentence can shape ones world. What is it, to see one thing and be told something entirely different."
Dipper knows that one. "A contradiction!"
He took a pen and bit on it nervously as Uxie asked. "If it contradicts itself, yet still exists as true, what is it?"
Mabel joined in. "Like going to yesterday today? I know the word. It's called a paradox!"
Uxie followed that answer. "If thou believe it to be true, then it is truth regardless. What is that?"
Aqua felt something connecting. "A paradox, we're only running on belief for it to be. That is why it is true."
Uxie's tone turned more serious. "What would a paradox like this, bring to the worlds if broken?"
Dipper thought about it. "It would throw things out of wack, distort a continuum of what should be and throw everything into chaos."
Uxie found a meaning to a particular word. "When the order no longer works, what do you do to advert the distortion and return things to it's norm?"
Ven didn't hesitate to answer that one. "Do what you got to do to fix it. If what was told doesn't make sense anymore, follow your hearts instincts and see where it goes."
Uxie smiled and waved his tails. "That would be all for now." He begun to spirit away as an orb of light. "Thou have the knowledge to carry onward. Discover what has not been known, for the fate of the worlds hangs to that knowledge."
He flew to the sky and dropped a bauble, a bronze shield. Aqua picked up and see the word, Knowledge, engraved. The symbol of Arceus vanished, leaving behind nothing else of importance as they returned to the boat. Dipper asked. "That was getting tense at the end. What was the point of all those questions anyways?"
Ven shrugged. "Who knows, but if Arceus is involved, then there's a bigger point we got to find out." He and Aqua felt a chill somewhere, the Keyblade Master looked back to see the reflection of the lake. Seeing a ripple in the water, resembling a shadow. A pillar with two distinct blue shines that could possibly be fish. The ripple resemble spikes crawling. Aqua closed her eyes to see a towering creature of darkness, having blue stripes across it's belly, centipede like limbs and blue eyes. Looking down at her like it's making a silent promise, the spikes transformed into a set of tendril like wings and the shadow flew off. Aqua opened her eyes and felt the terror leaving her.
Somewhere in the cavern.
Braig's curiosity has gotten the better of him, searching a place the Wayfinders have been, if to plan ahead of them and end up encountering a nimble dinosaur that is breathing out hot steam and is on the hunt. He escaped into a corridor, not wanting to put up with the Walking Wake and slide to dodge a flame thrower breath. The darkness closed behind him and he was left in a pant. "Is anything in this town normal?!"
"Ha ha ha ha! Good one!"
Bill appeared as blue fire and did nothing to make his presence uneasy. The crook ignored that subconscious warning. "They're planting all kinds of weird crud down there and it's got everything to do with the monsters that dropped into the world. So how are we going to keep this deal going?"
Bill giggled. "Easy, if that crystal is one way, then there is definitely another." He realize something and he turned to flash stone writings. "Wait a minute."
Braig guessed with little surprise. "There's a pokemon that can do just that, is there?" Bill's limbs turned backwards and his eye and bow tie popped out from his back as he answered. "And I know just the one! It's funny what happens when you delve into the unknown." He showed a conjuration of dark letters with various eyes. "In another dimension, there's a bunch of letters that can make just about anything happen if you line them up right. We're going to need to break in there and get as many as we can!"
His yellow faded into lines as Braig smirked maliciously. "Hey, somewhere those duds won't get in the way." There was a flaw to that plan. "But how are we going to hop into that place?" Bill rubbed his hands together. "I know a secret we can use with that busted piece of junk, I'm just going to borrow one thing."
He rushed at Braig and caused the mans body to jerk beyond his control, his eye gave a yellow glow with a black slit as he brought out the busted No Name and aimed it at a random direction, causing it to burst into blue fire and open a keyhole. Bill laughed like a complete maniac until Braig grabbed onto his chest and tossed the demon out, the crook brought out a cross bow and barked. "Hey, nothing in this deal gives you permission to do that! I'm not having that kind of crud happen again!"
Pew!
The shot phased through Bill as he floated disoriented. Bill kept upside down and blinked to keep his eye on the crook. "Nice try pal, but as long as I'm in your mind, you can't do anything. But at least the doors open."
He presented it to him with jolly vigor, forcing the crook to go along and enter. "Yeah, yeah." "It's only until I can get this thing fixed. This better work, weirdo!"
Across the keyhole, the crook found himself floating in a void of pure chaos. Many colors, stars and a plethora of black letters with eyes, floating blissfully in a hymn. "Holy, there's a ton of them!" Bill followed in and laughed. "Exactly, you can shave a few hundred of these and no one's going to notice a thing. Now, think, what would be a convenient spot for them?"
Braig thought of any place that is past the town's radar, a secluded cave no one would pay mind too. He opened a keyhole that begun to suck the Unown in, causing a collective scream as they were spirited away from home. As the plan was coming together, the two felt a chill looming at a fast rate.
CRASH! WOOSH!
Suddenly, a force of shadow rushed at them and knocked them asunder, it slithered into distortion and cast a shadow to melt the keyhole shut. Braig felt his heart racing and turned to his benefactor. "Something's been watching us!"
Bill pointed a thumb at the keyhole they used. "What ever, we got enough, let's scram before that thing catches up to-" The distortion returned, bringing about a serpentine shadow with tendril like wings. Having blue stripes on it's belly and blue spikes on it's wings. The serpent showed a blue mouth giving a smile, Braig was wishing to be anywhere but there and made a sprint for the hole, with Bill following behind and closing up the way. They spat back to the wilderness of Gravity Falls, thinking they were safe. The distorted shadow trailed behind and the serpent rushed the crook across the ground. Bill was thankful he was incorporeal and barked. "Hey, hey! What's the big idea?"
The serpent's form transformed into something altered, with a set of six legs and a set of horns. It stared directly at Bill and caused the triangle to spirit away. "Nnnnope!" Braig was seeing the nightmare set it's eyes upon him, the crook used a corridor to get out of there and spirit himself to the base of a water tower. Hoping he wasn't followed. "If that thing catches me, I'm dead meat! Now where did I sent those letters too?"
At the edge of the lake.
Kit is sitting on the port, looking onward at a boat returning. He felt a strange chill at the back of his head and looked around, almost missing the guardians that made their return. "Kit!"
The sound of a particular teenage boy snapped him out of a terror, Kit saw the band have a collection of balls in a case. Ven reported like an eager scout. "We just finished catching a haul from a cavern and the lake. That should be the last of the pokemon, besides the tough ones we haven't caught." Kit was quite impressed and smiled. "I'd got word from Kadabra, that you even caught Togekiss right after climbing out. Good work, all of you."
Mabel waved in a tease. "Fancy seeing the Mysterious Spirit in person, what's the occasion?" Kit answered proudly. "I wouldn't be showing up if you all are doing a horrid job. It's going to take some double checking, but I think that's the last major spot a pokemon would hide in. Three days of that and you're down to just a few tasks remaining, no wonder you're famous around these woods. What are you going to do for the rest of the day?" Dipper is thinking about it. "What ever it is, we got to figure out how we're going to catch those three pokemon and let them know the gig is up. Maybe with Togekiss, Ven would have a shot at catching that Ultra Beast."
Kit felt that was the more logical plan, but had a few critiques. "But, a recently caught pokemon of that power may have difficulty listening to what a rookie trainer has to say. Ven, you've handled the hardest part. A kid like you should be able to handle this other task."
He smiled to give some confidence as Aqua asked. "But how are we going to prepare? We only have so few pokemon remaining and it will take a lot of practice for us to even get to that level." Kit shrugged and lead them a ways "That's what you have to figure out. Ending a fight before it begins is one way, but even that does you little against a pokemon that powerful. Just be sure to have it done soon, evil forces won't ignore this town forever."
That is definitely a concern as the group returned to camp, Aqua contemplated an idea.""Dipper, Mabel, I know it's early, but we need to try and give a report before the day is over. Do you mind helping out?"
Ven felt that was a valid idea. "I think it's time they meet the others." Dipper realized what was asked and hyper ventilated while Mabel envisioned something majestic. "Hurrah at another chance!" Kit nodded and turned. "I'll be keeping an eye on our final three. No one is going to go anywhere near them while I have a say about it."
He took off.
Over at the Mystery Shack; Kadabra, Bursty and the Brute Bonnet were discovered by Soos and Wendy. The psi pokemon and the clown performed a combination of magic tricks and shadowy fire works while the Brute watched along with the humans. A truck came driving by, to drop off Stan and Goldie, it looked like their trip to Vegas lead to a series of complicated mistakes that brought them back to town. Stan flinched at the strange creatures. "You guys again?" He pointed and yelled. "Hey, only tourist and attractions are allowed." He had a quick scheme form in his mind. "Unless you guys want to be an attraction, then I'm welcome to some new money!"
The Brute growled. (Is there going to be food?) Kadabra laughing heartily before suddenly stopping to say no. Kit arrived to over hear that and suggest harshly. "Hey, these guys are going to make a camp around these grounds. If you'd have the fools prepare some half decent food, I don't think they mind." Stan felt that would be an idea regardless. "Eh, we'll talk it over tomorrow, the day after, tops."
