(Chapter 17: A meeting between an Angel and a Hero)
It would be a bit later into the month of October as the Ben and the Matriarchs aboard the Wage of Sin, accompanied by Sanguinius's flagship were closing in onto holy Terra, wherein the Ultimatrix bearer continued to split his time between getting to know the Astartes of the 3rd Legion, and spending time with the Matriarchs. Which had helped to take the edge off of meeting the Matriarch of the 9th Legion, something that while Ben was assured he should be fine with given her being one of the kinder Matriarchs, he still couldn't help but be on guard in case something happened.
(Wage of Sin, October 7th, 950. M30, 12:15 Pm)
It would be a short bit after 12 in the afternoon as Fulgrim was currently walking alongside Sanguinius who was both glad to see one of her sisters again, as well as hoping to have the impending meeting with Ben set up to discuss what happened on Karakinos.
"It is so good to see you again, Sanguinius. After being stranded on that miserable rock, for so long. All without very much in the way of entertainment and even moreso having to go through having my appearance in shambles. I do miss the company of others, especially you Sanguinius." Fulgrim said as the two strode through one of the battle barges' numerous levels
"I will not argue with you on that subject, Fulgrim. Although, you and everyone else seem to have come out of it for the better. From what you have told me, you have found a new inspiration for your artistic pursuits, and Perturabo has found someone to understand her passion for tinkering with machinery." Sanguinius replied
"Yes, our family as it were has all found new inspirations and reignited resolves during our time on that planet. All thanks to Ben, in fact he has even inspired Sekhmet to take up a few new hobbies of her own surprisingly enough." Fulgrim informed her sister
"Really? What has Sekhmet taken too per say?" Sanguinius questioned curiously
"A number of things really, from learning how to draw, the writing of short stories, and even learning musical instruments of her own…Surprising to say she is quite the talent at the piano and viola. Given enough time, I'm sure she could even match me in the arena of music." Fulgrim answered back
"I never would have thought of her as one to take to the arts. Normally, she is caught up with planning future campaigns with her Legion or games of capture the flag with our sisters." Sanguinius said with surprise at the fact
"As it turns out, this has come about thanks to Sekhmet having a rather wonderful talk with Ben that inspired her to do so. Which surprising enough has worked to more than decent effect, as now our sister seeks to master her new hobbies much in the same way she is a master of war itself." Fulgrim replied
Wheerein said conversation was one that very prominently affected Sekhmet rather deeply given that the subject from what she was told was, what the Lupercal would do or had planned should the Great Crusade finally end; which gave the leader of the Luna Wolves pause in that regard. Given that all she knew was how to be a master tacitician and battlemaster and a devastating one at that, as such in the realization that she had nothing to fall back on once the grand conquest of the galaxy at large was done; she had decided to take to a number of artistic pursuits one of which was both drawing to learn of animation and another was music.
"Hopefully, I will be able to see what Sekhmet can do once we land on Terra. I will admit, it still feels nearly unreal to hear what you have faced even in passing." Sanguinius spoke as they continued to where Ben last said he would be
"Believe me, if you were there, you would have found it even stranger still. Those ghastly things were in eyesore to deal with, much less fight...Don't even get me started on the smell of those abominable wretches." Fulgrim replied still finding the fact that they had thought servants of eldritch gods to be an unreal sight
"I do not doubt such a thing, Fulgrim. It is going to be quite a story that all of you have to tell…I imagine that Freya is kicking herself not having been a part of your epic adventure as it were." Sanguinius glibbed with a small chuckle knowing she would want to hear of the tales herself
"Believe me, Freya is the last on my list of people to see again. That She-Beast is far too uncivilized for my tastes. Even Furiosa now that she is without the Butcher's Nails, is far better than that."Fulgrim spoke in rather taking her company with the Red Angel than the Wolf Queen
"Don't you think that that is a bit harsh? I know that she can get a bit boisterous and full of herself, but it comes from a good place. Besides, she admits to missing a few of you as well." Sanguinius said back in defense of the leader of the Space Wolves
"It may be, but it doesn't detract from her being a glutton and a slob who has no sense of decorum. How we are related I will never know." Fulgrim said as she entered the training rooms to see something that surprised even her
'At least I have found, Ben...Although he and Lorna training together is not what I expected to see.' Were Fulgrim's thoughts as he was teaching Lorna how to fight hand to hand via the use of both Muay Thai and Classical Boxing that Grandpa Max taught him
"Good job, Lorna. A little rough around the edges, but you definitely have some talent. Especially that right hand of yours when you throw a uppercut." Ben congratulated as after showing her how to properly throw one she did so and punched the head and torso off of a reinforced dummy with one
"Thank you, Ben.I will admit that doing so much combat training has been rather difficult, not impossible but very tiring." Lorna Aurellian admitted standing in workout shorts and a compression shirt
"Well, you did say you wanted to be better at fighting, and that means doing the hard yards for this stuff. But hey, on the bright side; before you know it. You're going to be fighting Daemons like a pro in no time, I guarantee it!" Ben said encouragingly of the Urizen who smiled back and nodded determined to prove herself formiddable against the blasphemous threats of the Ruinous Powers
"Yes! Then let us continue, and my gratitude for your help!" Lorna Aurellian cheered with resolve to vanquish daemons with her bare hands
"No problem now let's go through the drills again. Combinations are everything, so let's work on you're footwork and go from there." Ben said as from there the Ultimatrix wielder and Matriarch went through drills once more
"Of all things to see, Lorna actively training was not one of them." Sanguinius spoke surprised to see Lorna working hard with Ben to be a better warrior
"As I told you, dear sister. Many things have changed while we have been away." Fulgrim told her sister
"That being said, I will go fetch Ben. As I am sure we have much to discuss." Fulgrim further spoke as she went to go talk to the Ultimatrix wielder to inform him of Sanguinius and their meeting with the 9th Legions Leader
'I finally get to speak to the man in my visions and the one who has begun to change things for the others. This should prove interesting.' Were Sanguinius's thoughts as she watched Fulgrim proceed to go and converse with Ben and Lorna
(Wage of Sin, 2 hours later, ?, 2:50 Pm)
It would be a little over 2 hours later before the combination of Ben, Fulgrim, and Morganna the Red, as well as Sanguinius were gathered to discuss the events of what had happened on Karakinos, with Ben showing the recordings of what happened in particular in regards to the battles aagainst the Khornite Horde and Ax'Akhan.
"And that covers it. So unless you have anything to add, turns out Daemons are real, they are being led by 4 Gods of chaos of whatever, and these guys more than likely being militarized. Oh, and the fact that the others that aren't led by this Khorne guy, probably have a final boss daemon leading them as well." Ben said as he finished showing the recordings to Sanguinius
"So as you can see, your Great Crusade just became far more complex...I hope you and your men like daemon hunting, because it looks like more of that's on the table." Ben further spoke to a shocked Sanguinius
"This is…very disturbing information to hear." Sanguinius said
"We told you that what happened was something unbelievable. Do you see why, sister?...Daemons acting as a militarized unit instead of the mindless abominations that we once knew them to be." Fulgrim spoke regarding the Khornate Daemons
"I do..and I imagine that the revelation of these…Chaos Gods have been a rather life-changing upheaval." Sanguinius replied
"It truly has been a discovery to have unfold, Sanguinius. The knowledge that eldritch beings of such magnitude exist, has been truly fascinating." Morganna the Red said elated at having known that there was a new avenue of knowledge and history to discover
"While that is the case, Morganna. Remember that this is some heavyweight stuff we're dealing with here. Which is why we do have to pump the breaks on this a small bit. Because, I told you first-hand from my dream, that this is a whole other ballgame we're dealing with." Ben reminded the cyclopean Psyker who reigned in her excitement in remembering what they were dealing with and what cost her her eye
"Right! Apologies, Ben, I just cannot help but get ahead of myself over this subject... Even you cannot deny that there is now a chance to pursue truths unknown within the Warp and the galaxy beyond. Especially, now that these Chaos Gods prove that there is something more to the universe to be understood." Morganna the Red spoke keen to see what lore or knowledge lay in the galaxy beyond that could permanently smite Daemons and their creators
"I agree, the more we find out about these Warp abominations the better. Although, how any of us are to fell a God is beyond even me. My greatness withstanding, slaying something that powerful is not an easy task to undertake." Fulgrim replied in regards to how they could kill any of the 4 Chaos Gods
"I'm sure we'll figure out something, Fulgrim. Besides with Sanguinius here who's supposed to be a super-angel. We've got a better chance than what anyone would have now that you guys know what's coming. Plus, I have a feeling in the pit of my stomach; that these Chaos Gods are gonna be bringing the fight to you guys pretty soon." Ben said back
"Yes, and while this will take time to get used to as the news of these Daemons not only being more organized, but far more powerful than what we realized. I have a question for you concerning your ability to turn into Xenos." Sanguinius spoke
"Look, if you're worried about what I'm going to do. Then I already gave my word to your sisters that I'm not going to do anything crazy with them. The only thing I'm gonna use them for is training, fighting against who knows what out there, and helping you guys in this Great Crusade or whatever…That's all there really is to it." Ben responded in complete assurance to the Great Angel
"While that is reassuring especially after Sekhmet and Fulgrim both told me that you are committed to aiding us. What I also wanted to know was…how powerful are you? While I know you are able to contend with powerful creatures of the Warp, defeat Furiosa in one of her rages, and even contend with Jagahtai's speed. I also hae to ask for reasons' you must understand, what is the level of power your Xenos forms can command?" Sanguinius questioned her gaze now more scrutinizing than kind
"Since I can't really tell you all of what my heavy hitters can do, as I do have to hold some of my cards close to my chest. The ones that is my ace in the hole in case things go tits up, and I mean really, really, REALLY bad; is a transformation called Alien X. Who has the power to re-write reality, timelines and even re-create an entire universe or multiple if I really wanted too." Ben informed everyone who was absolutely shook at this information
"BUT, I keep him under a safeguard protocol. I don't really like using Alien X since even though I have full control over him nowadays. There are still consequences to using reality-bending powers like that. Trust me I've seen it more times than I can count to have him stay under lock and key, in case a literal apocalypse is at my doorstep...Especially now with there being literal Gods around and I don't know what messing with reality will do with them in play." Ben told them in knowing that he may as well tell them now before they find out in a dire emergency and grill him for more info that causes him to go to plan B
"Y-You have that much power at your disposal?" Were the only words that Morganna could say while everyone was in stunned silence of the reveal
"Yes, and that is one of them. Each of the heavy-hitters I have are something than can do stuff like that, to messing with time on scale that can make splinter timelines or paradoxes happen. To a whole other can of worms…that isn't even mentioning my Ultimate versions too." Ben informed them in regards to those on his Powerhouse Playlist
With even the likes of Atomix in base being something that at full power could jeaporidize entire systems, with him knowing full well that when he fought Vilgax as Ultimate Atomix he probably left dozens of systems barren a hundredfold to the point that a quarter of the galaxy was more than likely so irradiated that Chernobyl look like 6 Flags in comparison. This among his other aliens in his Powerhouse Playlist were things that if not handled carefully could break galaxies into complete and total annihilation, hence why when he did use them in serious situations that he made sure; that their power was used to maximum effect as quickly as possible.
"That is…I honestly cannot put into words; over the fact that someone wields that much power. However, I will say that I am glad that you chose to be on our side and help the Imperium." Sanguinius said glad to have someone that extraordinarily powerful on their side
"The only thing I want to do is protect my home…even if it is 30-plus millennia into the future Earth is still my home. All I want to do is defend my home as much as I can, so if I can pitch in to help out. Then that is fine by me, I just ask that I have the same deal that I made with Fulgrim, Morganna, and the others when we were stranded. If I can get those same conditions met, then I will do everything I can to help you guys win." Ben replied as all he wanted to do was help in general nothing more nor less than that
"I will be more than happy to accommodate your wishes, I will also be contacting Malcador to discuss this in further detail with him. He and the Emperor will need to hear of this." Sanguinius said back
"Does our father know of our impending return to Terra? I want to make sure that we make our return as spectacular as possible for him!" Fulgrim wondered keen to make an absolute showing of their return
"Yes, both Malcador and our father know of our return to Terra. I will also say that I will look forward to how you make that spectacle come to be, Fulgrim. Your flare for the dramatic and opulent cannot be overlooked…you always were an entertainer at heart." Sanguinius said with her ever-charming smile that lit up the room around her
"You flatter me, but rest assured that the celebrations of our return will be nothing but extraordinary. I will not settle for anything lesser on the matter." Fulgrim declared
"If need be I can lend my talents towards helping with the celebration? My powers would more than help with making the experience unforgettable, perhaps we can even make it into a festival of sorts." Morganna the Red suggested to Fulgrim's delight
"That sounds absolutely brilliant, we will talk of this later today!" Fulgrim said as from there the two sisters began to go on a tangent of how to make the celebration of their return a wondrous one
'I guess that that calls everything to an end.' Ben said to himself in a sentiment that was shared by Sanguinius
With it being for nearly a half-hour of said discussion happening before the main topic of Ben's conditions being met as a new part of the Imperium and Adeptus Astartes in helping towards a greater calling overall to completing the Great Crusade. Wherein it was further discussed in his being able to bring his skills in building technology that rivaled the Dark Age of Technology to the forefront, as a welcome change among his Xenos forms being included in aiding the Legions in their battles to come.
However, as everyone would soon depart and Ben would shake hands for being able to meet with the Great Angel, Sanguinius was met with a brief but heart-pounding vision…one of a dark future of horrible possibility. One where Ben now standing in the blood red and brass of Khorne stood over the broke shattered body of the Emperor of Mankind, his golden armor crushed inwards like a cheap shattered wine bottle, and his body looking as though it had been mauled by a pack of Fenrisian wolves. With the shattered form of Leona El'Jonson ran through with her own sword and bifurcated at the waist, Rogal Dorn turned to a bloody pulp and mounted on the shattered walls of the Imperial Palace that was drowned crimson in blood, amidst the carnage where millions upon millions of Imperial Guardsmen, Custodes, Sisters of Silence, and more; crucified with her eyelids split open to bear witness to it all was Freya Russ bound to the effigy with blasphemous sigils to keep her alive to witness the horrors unfold.
All the while standing alongside him as Terra burned while armies of Greater Daemons of the Blood God trampled over the home of Mankind's greatest were the likes of Furiosa, Konstance Kurze, Perturabo, Mortarion, Lorna Aurellian, Sekhmet Lupercal, Morganna the Red, Fulgrim, The Khan, and Branwen Corax; their Legions as well leading a genocide that not even the Custodes could stop. All as their Astartes wore armor and carried weapons that made their own look as though they may as well have been knights and soldiers from fuedal worlds, as worlds burned and the 10 treacherous Legions slaughtered those that fought against them like they were livestock put before a woodchipper.
"Are you ok there? You look like you just got shot in the kidneys?" Ben asked seeing her in a brief yet very intense state of anxious distress
"Y-Yes I'm fine, I've just been very stressed is all from our search. I fear that some of it has begun to caught up with me is all…Perhaps, a few nights of rest will cure it." Sanguinius answered back
"Alright, as someone who has been stressed to hell and back themselves. I completely get it." Ben said knowing full well what an overabundance of stress could do to a person
"Well, as great as it was to meet you. I gotta go, I promised Perturabo I'd help them with some schematics for a project we're working on. So I'll catch you later." Ben further spoke as he soon ran off to go to work with the Iron Maiden herself
'Hopefully, we can keep him on our side to prevent whatever that horrid future was…Just what are you that can cause a future where half my sisters see to the destruction of Terra and our father?' Sanguinius wondered to herself as she walked back to her guest quarters her wings fluttering in distress from her sudden visio
(The next day, the Wage of Sin, ?, 950. M30, October 8th, 1:45 Pm)
Meanwhile, in the next day to follow was Sekhmet with Furiosa the two going over battle strategies and plans on how to reform the World Eaters into a more complete unit, with Sekhmet being rather intrigued by Furiosa's plans to further transform her Legion now that she was without the constant bite of the nails.
"I will admit your plans to take the World Eaters from their current interation as a close combat unit. To what you have constructed is rather surprising, but still works out incredibly well to be honest." Sekhmet said to a studious looking Furiosa
"Thank you. While our Close Combat is still to be a main-stay of what we are to become. I plan to make it a trident that destroys our enemies, in various aspects…an idea that Ben had helped to create during my recovery." Furiosa told the Lupercal
"One aspect still retaining our affinity for close-quarters combat but now for Deep Assaults to lay waste to enemies with overwhelming force. One aspect focusing on Mechanized infantry to allow us to batter enemy lines into the ground and use it to reinforce and better deploy my sons to enemy lines, while provinding cover fire and defensive support. The 3rd aspect will require the bolstering of artillery to make it so that enemy forces will have their defenses softened and their forces scattered at multiple points, so that they will be in complete and utter disarray for us to further close in and destroy them outright." Furiosa informed her of her idea for the 'Trident' to not only reinforce their affinity for close assaults but also make the idea of doing so foar more devastating
"This is a rather bold move to make, but if implemented correctly. I can more than see this working to great effect for the World Eaters, Furiosa. It not only compliments them as a close-combat oriented Legion, but does more than enough to shore up the weaknesses that yours have had since their inception...No offense, but up until now your methods haven't been the most cost-effective toward maintaining your numbers." Sekhmet commended Furiosa for her idea of her 'Trident'
"Fair enough, but then again I was not in the best state of mind at that time...The Butchers' Nails and everything to that point did not leave me much in the way of being a commander." Furiosa replied with a gentle tap to where her implants had once been
"Something that I am glad is no longer with you. It is good to have you back without those things in your skill holding you back." Sekhmet spoke happy to see her sister was free of her burden
"Thank you, as am I...That being said, I also know that this will take a large amount of time to implement into the 12th. However, if I can do this, then my sons will be able to take worlds far faster than before and with far lesser casualties as well…Now that I am clear of mind, I see that the spiteful and self-destructive manner I commanded them before was not only hurtful but counter-intuitive to what I would have wanted." Furiosa said back knowing that readjusting the 12th Legion was going to be time-consuming but at that same time more than worth it
"And I will be more than happy to support you during that time. However, I must ask you this…what will you do about those who have taken to the Nails? Not to mention, the Librarians who have been clearly divided amongst your Legion? That is a problem that will need to be accounted for as well." Sekhmet queried knowing those two factors were a concern for cause
"That is something I have been well aware of in the aftermath of our fighting those wretched daemons. Which is why I have talked with Morganna and Ben both on the situation, once we left that miserable rock." Furiosa informed Sekhmet who had an arched brow at this information
"Ben I can understand, but you and Morganna are an unlikely pair to say the least. Especially with how vastly different you two are in opposition to one another." Sekhmet spoke knowing how conflicting she and the sorceress were
"Trust me, she was not the first idea I had to remedy the situation regarding the Nails. However, her Legion are equipped with Biomancers as she calls them; that can manipulate the flesh and heal grievous wounds. This in tandem with Ben's own skills with technology and medicine; are the combination that can prove necessary to safely remove them from the Legion with as little casualty or injury as possible." Furiosa replied before continuing
"I also owe this to them as the first step towards making amends to them. All of this will go a long way towards showing them that I am deserving of being their leader...After how I treated them, they deserve to see and know that they have someone who wants to lead them." Furiosa further spoke knowing she had so much work to do
"And you will be in time. I know that you did not have the most impressive start with your sons, in fact it is often a mixed bag as it were for anyone to do so. Some turn out great as with Freya and the wolves of the 6th and some…Some are outright deplorable as what Konstance has with the Night Lords. But that being said, I see that you are putting in the effort to make improvements with your sons. Not only tactically but on a personal level as well, and that is a feat of improvement that is commendable all on its own." Sekhmet replied with a proud hand at the improvements that Furiosa making towards being a better leader overall
"I appreciate it, and I know that I have to do this. I know that I must be better, my sons were undeserving of the treatment that I have given them. They had done nothing wrong and yet I inflicted abuse that was undeserving and unncessary. An abuse and hate that they should not have brought on their hands when all they wanted was for me to be apart of their lives…I do this for not just them but my fallen brothers and sisters, they would have wanted me to act better, to be better as a leader. So I will do so for them, and rise to the occassion as I should have." Furiosa said back her fist gripping in steadfast resolve to be better not just for herself but in memory of her fallen fellow gladiators on Nuceria
'Look at that, my sister is finally starting to come into her own. Who would've thought that I'd see the day that Furiosa the most wrathful of us, would begin to truly give a damn about her sons.' Were the Lupercal's thoughts as seeing Furiosa's new state of mind and growth heading in a very positive direction
"...However, enough semantics as it were. What matters is focusing on the improvements of my Legion, so if you have any strategies or formations I could implement to do so. It would be greatly appreciated, Sekhmet." Furiosa spoke her golden eyes bearing on the taller of the two
"Of course, now then I have one in mind that would work wonders for the artillery of your 'Trident', it will require some fine-tuning but it will work wonderfully if pulled off correctly." Sekhmet said back as she pulled up a holographic battlefield on the table they sat at
From there as the two sisters continued discussing combat doctrine and strategy Ben was working alongside Perturabo on schematics for the zords that would comprise what she called the Adamantine Guard Megazord; would Sanguinius go to see what more of the Ultimatrix wielder was like with her other sisters. However, before she could fully make her way to see what Ben was like and know better of him; she soon found herself intercepted by Konstance Kurze her pale hand gripping her shoulder tightly the moment she spotted her going near Ben.
"Before you say anything, I want to ask you one thing Sanguinius and answer it truthfully." Came the words of the Night Haunter
"W-What did you want to ask, Konstance?" Sanguinius asked startled
"What are your intentions with Ben Tennyson, what are they with my beloved?" Konstance Kurze asked back her grip tightening with a strength that only a Dreadnought could match
"I simply wish to know him better is all. He is to work alongside us and our Legions in the future to come, I only want to see more of what he is like and what talents he may possess both outside of combat and overall as a person; that is all." Sanguinius assured the Night Haunter with arms raised in placation to her very violent and often unstable sister
"Very well, but you will wait until we reach Terra to do so, and not a moment later. I do not trust you around him whatsoever, the others might but I do not. Not when I know the danger you bring to him in taking him away from me." Konstance Kurze said her features locked into a ferocious snarl aimed at the Great Angel
"Konstance, I do not know him in the way that you do…Even if I did, I would not take someone who is you claim as a loved one away from you." Sanguinius swore as Konstance's shadow began to warble if only for a brief moment as though it were trying to come to life to rip out her spine
"And how do I know you aren't lying? How do I know the moment I turn my back or leave for one moment you won't take him from me? That you won't take my happiness away from me?!" Konstance Kurze questioned her eyes widening at the thought as the grip on Sanguinius's shoulder tightened as what looked like black smoke and flickers of midnight blue flame began to crawl from Konstance's fingers
"You have my word that I would never do so to you. I swear that as a Matriarch of the 9th Legion that I would never take Ben or your happiness from you." Sanguinius promised as she watched the ever-growing intensity of this black smoke with careful eyes
"...Fine, but the moment I sense it. There will be consequences Angel, you will have my word on that." Konstance Kurze swore in a wrathful hiss shoving Sanguinius aside the black smoke covering her fingers and knuckles staying momentarily before soon dissipating
'Is…Is Konstance changing like I am? What is happening to us all?' Sanguinius wondered as she saw the place on her dress that Konstance had touched had been acidcly eaten away as though dunked in pressurized battery acid
(4 hours later, Craftworld Uthwe, 6:15 Pm)
Meanwhile, on Cratftworld Uthwe was Eldrad wondering how he was going to convince Ben to join them in their cause to free his people from Slaanesh's death-grip; especially after having been nearly stranded in deep space if it weren't for a nearby Craftworld finding them before the dangers of the Ruinous Powers did and She Who Thirsts claim them as a welcome meal.
"What do we know Khiraen? After what had happened on that planet weeks ago, our chance to save our people from She Who Thirsts is a few days travel away from Terra…From hereon things are going to become vastly more difficult to have him join our efforts, especially it the Emperor has his way about it. He will have him ready to bare down on us with all manner of weapons and power at his disposal." Eldrad spoke cursing how their chances had now dropped from decent and perhaps above-average to rather slim
"And it is not as thought we can send ships to intercept as well. By the time that happens, even with Warp travel would we find ourselves having Imperium ships hounding us like rabid dogs." Eldrad added wondering how they were going to undo this situation
"Have hope yet, Eldrad. Despite this setback, not all is lost." The Wraithlord spoke remaining a calm disposition despite it
"How is that exactly? As it stands we do not have a means to open dialogue nor have him hear us out. Not as long as he stays with the Emperor's daughters, as even I have foreseen that to get to him successfully. That intensive measures will have to be taken to get through not only them but their Legions as well." Eldrad questioned
"For someone that is often regarded as the most powerful of us both as a Farseer and a Psyker. That you forget that the future is not always set in singular straightforward paths. Some are more curving and undulating for lack of better phrasing and some require more patience before they become clear. Yet all the same new paths to a destination can be unlocked, all that is needed is time, planning and care to make it possible." Khiaren spoke to the semi-frazzled Farseer
"Understandable, by no less vexing. Even still, how do you suggest that we approach doing so; when these paths become clearer to seek him out? His futures have not exactly been the most clear to divine nor peer through. His paths constantly splintering into countless variants that make it almost overwhelming to see which is the right path." Eldrad replied regarding every time he tried to divine paths to see how the Craftworld Aeldari could best sway Ben to their side it was met with those paths always fracturing into near countless branches
"We will have to wait until he is with one of the Matriarchs and their Legions, on one of their conquests. Eventually, they will let their guard down as their Maines may be demigods of war and conquest. However, they are still humans all the same, humans that require rest and sleep. As such that will be when we will make our moves to either parlay in peace or steal him away in the night." Khiaren told him
"Very well, and I can assume that I will need to ready the Aspect Warriors and strike teams; should it come to a violent resistance? Even I know that people that command power and wield cunning as the one we seek does, are not ones to go quietly into the night as the Monkeigh say." Eldrad remarked
"That would be a wise idea, yes. We cannot afford to go into the situation lightly, not when we know that the last time that you had gone unprepared to do so, and Asurman and his ship you were aboard were nearly sundered into oblivion." Khiaren spoke as the reminder that a single attack from a Monkeigh was enough to rip through their defense that swiftly was a terrifying fact for Eldrad
"I am incredibly thankful to the old gods that we survived long enough for assistance to arrive. Luckily casualties were kept to a minimum and Asurman is in recovery, but alive and well nonetheless...How we had found ourselves assailed by Necrons this far away from a tomb world I will never know" Eldrad said with underlying regret that in his hubris at thinking the task would be a swift, decisive one had cost a large number of Eldar their lives and heavily wounded the Phoenix Lord
"It is unfortunate of what happened to one of Phoenix Lords that day. Yet we must prevail and continue to move forward, my old friend. We cannot give up hope when it can still be obtained." Khiaren said as the Wraithlord put a hand of solemn comfort on his friends' shoulder
"Thank you for your counsel at this time, Khiaren. It is always appreciated." Eldrad thanked the Wraithlord
"Of course, for it is in these trying times against immeasurable odds that we must remain united. While there are not many of us left after the cataclysm of Slaanesh's birth and far fewer that haven't turned to the Drukhari. We must always be at the ready to come together as one. To unite as such and create a pathway higher towards a freedom from our damnation." Khiaren said to Eldrad who nodded affirmatively
"That much I can agree upon…Now all that needs to be further done is prevent the Drukhari from getting to him. The type of horrors that could be unleashed if they were to have their way with him, would be nigh-apocalyptic as the kindest way of stating it." Eldrad replied fearing that the Drukhari's having of the Ultimatrix wielder would an unbearbly debauched nightmare
"Agreed, those heinous fiends would birth a new nightmare entirely; if they were to have their hands around the neck of our salvation." Khiaren agreed knowing that such a thing should not happen
"This means that I will have to monitor the movements of the Drukhari in addition to our salvations…how wonderful." Eldrad said knowing their was much work to be had
"Worry not, you have not only the strength of Craftworld Uthwe but others as well. I have been spreading word of our potential freedom from Slaanesh's deathgrip on our people, and they have agreed to aid us as well." Khiaren informed a relieved Eldrad at the fact that now Craftworld Biel-tan would share their strength would lend their aid
"That is very good to know, Khiaren…now all we can do is hope and prepare for the best. As well as endure for the worst of what may come." Eldrad said having both cautious optimism and a foreboding sense of dread in his voice
All the while back on the Wage of Sin was Ben back in his own resting quarters having decided to after having had a full day with training with Lorna, spending time with Julius and Eidolon, as well as Morganna and even Peturabo. That the Ultimatrix bearer was going to turn in for the night as the Wage of Sin continued its voyage at least until he was visited by Konstance Kurze eventually entering his quarters wearing only a midnight blue robe and a almost bashful look on her face.
"Hey Konstance what can I do for you?" Ben asked the leader of the 8th Legion
"Do you remember when you said how you were accepting of our being intimate together when time allowed it?" Konstance Kurze asked the Ultimatrix wielder who wore only sweatpants and a black and green t-shirt
"Yeah, as long as you wanted to do that, and we had time on our hands we could…Oh, ooohhh, are you sure you about this? I don't want to push you into anything." Ben asked back wanting to make sure that Konstance wanted to do this as the towering woman stepped forward
"I have never been more sure of anything in my life, Ben. All I have wanted since the threat of those abominations have been eradicated and our departure from that planet...The one burning thought in my mind since then was to share intimacy and company with you." Konstance Kurze said continuing to approach
"Which is why, I want you to share the most special moment with me possible. A moment where I can know true happiness…please will you grant me a connection and joy I have never known? It is all that I ask of you and I that I want right now." Konstance Kurze further spoke as she went to undo her robe
"If this is what you really want then I will do it for you. You're a really good woman Konstance and I am more than happy to be here with you, when you need me." Ben told the Night Lords Matriarch who smiled as tears flowed down her scarred cheeks
"Thank you, Thank you. I promise you won't regret this." Konstance Kurze said as with tears of joy she removed her robe to reveal her state of stress
'I might die tonight, but at least I get go out having sex with a giant woman…My life just got so much better right now.' Were Ben's thoughts as he saw a smiling Konstance swearing black stocking, a midnight blue garter belt with matching lingerie in the colors of her Legion
"And I promise you that I will make every moment from now till death making you as happy as possible. I promise this on my wretched sons to you, Ben Tennyson…Now please, take me in the way on a man may know to take a woman." The Night Haunter spoke before pouncing onto Ben with both raptourous joy and lust that had her all over Ben with the passion that only someone as touch-starved as her could bring
"Best…night…ever." Were Ben's sole words before he found himself ravaged by one Konstance Kurze until the waking hours of the early morning
And so with the meeting between Ben and The Great Angel met as well as a surprising vision of a possible dark future to come, we also see the Craftworld Aeldari preparing to strike to acquire Ben as the potential salvation of their people while the Drukhari began to wait in the wings to take him for themselves as well…How will Ben survive plots on all fronts as he reaches Holy Terra within a few days time? Random End Song: Angels Fall by Breaking Benjamin
Now then onto some of the reviews of the previous chapter.
FusionCoreReactor: While Ben will interact with more Xenos races down the line; once he ingrains himself further into Imperium; it'll take some understanding and elbow grease to make it a tangible long-term thing. Also, while I can give him 40K transformations it's going to be a matter of making sure that what I do give him, can be found since what your asking about is going to be time-intensive and a slog to get; on top of him making sure its safe for him to use consistently. As for the Orks and his becoming a Krork its possible especially with what I have coming up in the works soon enough, also since this is in 30K not 40K the Emperor isn't interred on the Golden Throne as the world's strongest lighthouse.
Kourtney Uzu Yato: To be fair, as far as Ben is concerned he's used to being on decently sized ships...not battleships that can be entire city blocks in length lol. With Ben and the Chaos Gods, Tzeentch is going to be a bit because while they would want Ben for all the endless possibilities for Chaos and intricate plans that could be set up with him, they have to take their time in going about it. With Slaanesh, they pretty much have an in to getting ahold of Ben through the Drukhari; after all if they can get to him and offer him up as a champion of She Who Thirsts then they might have a potential get out of jail free card for the next few centuries. With Ben and Malcador, I can definitely see them just either being both good too each other and locking horns quite often given how well they could work together when things really need to be done and Ben's being able to relate to the Matriarchs in a fashion Malcador can't, as well as Ben's ideals mismatching with Malcador's causing them to butt heads quite a bit. And as you can see with Ben and Konstance...things have definitely escalated by the end of it all so good for him for getting a W in the 31st millenium...now he just has to deal with the 8th Legion when they see that he's pretty much boning their gene-sire.
Skull Flame: With Ben and 3rd Legion its mainly the matter of 'Hey you saved our gene-sire from being stranded on a barren planet and or being shredded by daemons. You're pretty alright with us, strange shapeshifting man.' if that makes any sense. For Fullmetal Alchemist, if they think Shou Tucker is bad (rightfully so I might add) then wait until they get to the part with Envy killing Maes Hughes, now THAT will really have them screaming for vengeance lol. Also I think Branwen would really like Sabo once they get to Dressrosa and I think that Furiosa might even get some inspiration from Whitebeard down the line for how goated he is overall as a person.
God of Wind 200: There's actually a reason why his Anodite side doesn't figure into things anymore, that I will get into later on. Also, the reason why Ben doesn't use Alien X for things all that much is as state he doesn't really know how his using it is gonna affect things in the current universe, now that things like the Warp, the Ruinous Powers, and etc are a thing. One wrong move and a massive recoil could wind up wiping out who knows what or causing a Ruinstorm event; because he messed around with things whilst being Alien X.
nightmare56789: While there won't be one for now, I do have a space battle planned for when Ben helps out with one of the other Legions. Since I'm trying to figure out how to do it in a way that will make sense and not feel tacked on.
