2 Days Later.
09/11/1996.
Friday.
Friday had finally arrived.
Hermione had already finished reading the book in 1 day. She was dying for this day to come and to talk to Snape.
Everyone was sitting in the Great Hall for dinner. "House elves make excellent food." said Ron, eating quickly and disgustingly.
Hermione couldn't help rolling her eyes. "Please Ron, can you eat with your mouth closed? We don't want to see the inside of your mouth."
"You know, Ron, Hermione is absolutely right." said Ginny as she nodded. "We see every detail inside his mouth."
"I can't change that, it's the way I eat."
"You have a really disgusting way of eating." said Ginny. Ron rolled his eyes and said nothing else.
Hermione rolled her eyes and returned to her food, but an involuntary smile appeared on her face when she felt a sort of tingling sensation on the back of her neck. She knew who was watching.
She e turned her head, looked towards the large table, and made direct eye contact with Snape. She couldn't hold back her smile when she saw him watching her as if no one was around.
She saw a stern expression on his face, but she didn't see any anger underneath that sternness.
But she had to look away because she knew she couldn't look at him in public for a long time.
Meanwhile, Severus was very determined not to look at her throughout the meal. It wouldn't be possible for people to catch him looking at her.
But he had such a feeling that every moment he didn't look at her was painful. It didn't take long for him to succumb to this feeling.
He turned his eyes and looked at the girl sitting at the Gryffindor table talking to him her friends.
It hadn't been long before suddenly she turned his head and they made eye contact.
And he saw her smiling.
He felt his heart skip a beat, his slow beating heart began to beat faster. The painful feeling inside him had eased.
But this look did not last long. Because she immediately turned her head back.
The feeling that had eased inside him came back and started to hurt again. He wasn't sure he liked the feeling.
Anyway, they were going to exchange books with her today. Maybe then this feeling would go away.
He also hadn't finished the book.
He couldn't bear to read or finish it.
But unfortunately he would have to give the book to her.

One to two hours later.
Hermione was walking through the dungeons slightly nervously. The dungeons were very scary and there was tension about talking to Snape.
They would be alone.
When she reached Snape's office, she stopped and collected herself for a moment. She took a deep breath to calm her heart, which was beating fast with excitement. And finally she knocked on the door.
"Come."
Before Hermione could open the door, it opened on its own. She entered with heavy steps and the door closed by itself. Her eyes automatically wandered to the man sitting at his desk, tending to the parchments.
"Professor."
Severus' head slowly rose and he looked at the young woman standing in the doorway. "Miss Granger."
She shifted from one foot to the other and stood uncomfortably. "I don't know if you remember, but I came to change the books."
"I'm not senile, Miss Granger, of course I remember." he said with calm sarcasm. He pointed to the chair across the table. "Here, sit down."
Hermione got excited for a moment, but trying to remain calm, she slowly approached the table and sat on the chair. She took the book out of her bag, put it on the table, put her bag on her lap and tried to stay calm.
Severus set the parchments aside and pulled the book closer to him. "Have you finished the book?"
"Yes, I finished it yesterday."
"So you're saying you finished it in 1 day?" he asked with slight curiosity.
"Yes," she said as if it were obvious.
"So, did you read it with understanding?"
"Yes, in fact, in the remaining day, I transferred a lot of information to paper."
He raised one eyebrow. "You can't have put all the information on paper."
She shrugged slightly. "Unfortunately, I didn't have time to write them all."
He ran his hand over the book and then gently dragged it across the table. "You can keep the book."
Hermione looked at him in surprise. "What?"
He moved the book closer to her on the table. "Take the book, Miss Granger."
Instinctively, she raised her hand and placed it on the book. Again, both their fingers touched each other.
They made eye contact.
"When should I give it back?" she asked quietly.
His face involuntarily softened as he looked into her eyes. "You never have to give."
Her face became confused. "Never?"
"Yes."
For a moment, her eyes wandered to the book beneath her clasped fingers, but she looked back into his eyes. "But this is a very valuable and rare book. It can also be very useful in classes."
Severus hesitated for a moment whether to do so or not, but finally gave in. He brought his hand closer and took her fingers completely in his hand. "You can keep the book, Miss Granger."
Her heart was racing and she swallowed hard. "Okay," she said quietly.
"Besides, I couldn't finish reading your book." he said with the same silence. "Can I keep your book for just a few more days?"
She nodded quickly. "Of course." she said and looked at their joined fingers. "You can keep my book."
"It won't take long, I know you need it."
"Okay," she said softly, then lifted her eyes and looked at him. "I, I have to go."
"Yes like that." he said, but neither of them moved.
She blinked her eyes a few times and, although it was difficult, she took her fingers away from him and stood up, taking the book. "Good evening, Professor."
"Good evening, Miss Granger."
Hermione smiled slightly and turned around and started walking towards the door. When she reached the door, she pulled but couldn't open it. She frowned and tried a few more times. "Professor, the door won't open."
There was no sound.
"Professor-" She had just turned around and was startled when she saw him in front of her. She raised her head and looked into his eyes in surprise. "Professor?"
"Weekend."
"What?" she asked in surprise.
"Do you have work on the weekend?"
Her gaze became curious. "Why do you ask?"
"I need to grow potions for the hospital wing by Monday. Can you help me?"
Her eyes widened in surprise. "Me?"
His lips curled into a quiet sneer. "Can you see anyone else here other than you?"
Her cheeks turned red because of her stupidity. "But you've never made a potion with a student before."
"I didn't have a student I could make a potion with."
She tried not to laugh. "The school is full of students."
He took another step forward as he grinned mockingly and raised his hand to tuck her hair behind her ear. "There are no smart students." he said sarcastically. "Except you."
Hermione's breathing quickened and she blinked rapidly. "Professor, what are you doing?"
"I don't know," he said quietly. He moved his fingers on her temple. "I don't know and it scares me."
She closed her eyes softly when she felt his fingers on her face. "What do these mean?"
"I don't know."
With her eyes still closed, Hermione lifted her hand and placed it on his chest. She could feel his hard, firm chest under her hand. "What happens next?"
"I don't know."
She opened her eyes slowly and looked into his calm eyes. "I have to go."
"I know."
She frowned slightly. "Don't you know any other words?"
This time, a sincere smile appeared on his face. "I know."
Hermione was surprised to see his genuine smile, but rolled her eyes when he said the same word again. "I'm leaving." As she stepped back and turned around, she caused his hand to fall. "Can you open the door?"
"Will you come over the weekend?"
"What day?"
"Sunday."
"At what time?"
"1pm."
She turned her head slowly and smiled while looking at him. "I will come."
The smile on his face appeared again. "Ok." he said and opened the door with a wave of his hand.
Hermione walked out the door without saying anything, looked at him one last time and disappeared.
Her heart was beating rapidly as she walked down the hall. What had just happened? She couldn't wait to learn the answers to these.
And of course, she was eagerly waiting for Sunday to come.
