The next leg of the journey was following a freshly plowed Road. The kids held their backpacks following it's trail. The snow was coming, people said winter came early but weren't processing the end was coming, other then the end is near sign people who everyone ignored. Hay they had to be right sooner or later. Max and Zoe hovered red, Twice shy, The only progres was Zoe didn't channel the tension into aggression, and Max wasn't acting like a clown thanks to nerves. Amy and Rex watched this blinking.
Rex was trying to summon the Mammoth card, "It's not summoning. The mega mammal can't be summoned by the stones." Amy turned away, "maybe what summons them is something else, something like the stones but for the age of mammals. " Rex held his chin, it made about as much sense as anything else so far.
that's when they heard cars crush and a yell their was a spectral armored pink showing it was an alpha Giant ground sloth. The Sloth roared it's claws sparking with lighting showing it was a lighting element. It stabbed a car making it explode, luckily the people in it got out before them. He roared banging his chest howling like an ape. This ape like behavior made no sense we know. The Sloth charged roaring making our heroes summon their dinosaurs.
Max slashed a move card, "plasma Anchor." chomp used the lighting rope only for the sloth to slash it apart, "Sloths were known to eat meat on one half of the planet." The ground Sloth licked his lips looking at them. Zoe slashed a move card, "Big foot assault! it will eat us?" The big foot came down but Sloth put hands up in the air making the summon roar in pain like you would if your stepped on a nail, as it vanished.
Amy slashed a move card, "Mole attack, and Quake saber!" Hannah used the moves together coming out with a sword slash to the things chest knocking it down. Rex held the cards out, "She has the idea self fusion moves, Aka Axe ninja attack and sonic blast." Axe went for ninja attack but instead of slams three hurricane fired form mouths making the Sloth's armor be ripped off form the vortexes. At this point the Dinosaurs became cards again.
Amy summoned Tank who went on the attack with "Spike arrow!" the sloth crossed arms to protect important things form spikes. Rex pulled out a card, " Jobaria !" Max slashed out, "udanoceratops!" Zoe commented on that one, "he has no horns. Tsintaosaurus dinoslash" Zoe slashed a move card, " Green impulse and metal wing, " Double the flyers the sloth couldn't knock them all away allowing the metal wing to hit, knocking him around. Max was up neck, "Lighting axe and sky dive!" his jumped up and summoned lighting axe, The giant flyer grabbed sloth and slammed him into it leaving a massive slash wound on the alpha who fell down, chest burnt form the lighting. This left Rex the finishing blow, " Jet shrunken, tornado toss" the dinosaur made the vortex throwing it up for the finishing blow from Jet Shuriken. The sloth was now carded. Our kids took the cards.
Zoe watched there summons become cards, "This too cold for them thing is getting real old real fast? do you think that armor acts like a coat keeping it warm?" Max shrugged, but Amy said, "An animal with a fur coat doesn't need a coat Zoe, so I highly doubt the armor this mega mammals are in is a coat." Rex added, "yeah, but who is making the mega mammals and why Can't I slash the mammoth? It means Max can't slash the Sloth. They look like Dino cards but aren't. Who's making them? well someone napped Seth so it's easy to say that unknown."
Max looked to Zoe red, Zoe was also read looking at him before looking around as they continued up this mountain path. In case you are wondering why the parents haven't called the Kids left cell phones behind. They didn't want to year it. Note the parents were still fighting over who's fault this was, So there newly found low opinion of there parents was correct, at least for Max Zoe, and Amy's parents. We say that as there was a beep and they turned and their was Doctor Owen in a van.
The man was in a parka ear muffs and mittens saying one thing opening the doors, "I followed reports of dinosaurs fighting mega mammals to find you kids, I know your plan is a good one now get the hell in here I can drive as up farther." They smiled as they got in. he asked, "do fill me in on this megamamal non-sense."
They did so and once it was over doctor Owen recapped, "Unknown probably who got Seth, they can't be summoned by the stone plates clones. They are also all alphaed Interesting very interesting. Also Zoe sorry but Reese is still fighting with the other's." Zoe shrugged and said one thing, "In hind side she isn't the best big sister, so detached, and she didn't even have the class to tell Zander she was aro-ace, and kept stringing him along. That's bad, you need to be Direct to those feelings." She looked to Max, and in her head added, "...granted that's easier said then done, as every time I want to ask him out I bitch, or hit!" The Zoe in Zoe's head screamed arms waving up and down, "I WANT TO KISS THE AUTISTIC DINO FREAK! I WANT TO MAKE OUT WITH HIM AND COVER HIM IN LIP STICK KISS MARKS LIKE IN AN OLD AMERICAN ANIMATION! WHY CAN'T I SAY IT AND DO IT!" The in her head Zoe cried water fall tears throwing a fit, "I WANT HIM I WANT HIM WWWAAAAAA."
Doctor Owen drive the van and said one thing to this, "Correct I was very blunt about how much I wanted to Marry Ursula. She turned me down and I kept asking, in chase she changed my mind. Granted if I knew she was from the future I would have stopped as well for all we know Max and Zoe there are Ursula's grandparents or some crap like that." Zoe hissed and shivered at the idea. Max blinked and said, "Zoe Lura does look more like your sister then your sister." Zoe jumped in her seat thinking about that. Both where blinking and looked away red, thinking Rod and Laura were the great grand babies who came over for Christmas.
the man said, "point is I was direct and if she was direct with why the no, I won't have wasted so much time." He said driving up the mountain as he said this to another thing, "but back to the events at hand. I find it odd no one is in panic mode as of yet as this early snow falls is not natural. Anyway Kids, I hate to make alarm but the street isn't plowed up ahead. Meaning we have to pull into this town, and hope hotel, or we are camping out of a car."
It was camp outside of a car, fire, door open as you don't want to sleep in a metal frame when the fuel goes out, it will turn into an ice box fast. Sleeping bags tents set up. It was parked by a cave, In the cave Max and Zoe sat red looking away from eachother, as Max's hand slowly reached for her's he got it. Zoe was red and smiling and let him hold it. In Zoe's head she was screaming, "THIS IS IT HE IS MAKING A MOVE! WE ARE ABOUT TO BECOME BOYFRIEND GIRLFRIEND LIKE WE SHOULD HAVE! BREATH ZOE BREATH REMAIN CALM DON'T TSUNDERE FUCK THIS UP!" She said taking deep breaths.
Max meanwhile was staying focused as he said one thing he forced it out, "Zoe ...I...care...about you A lot..." Zoe's heart skipped a beat, Amy and Rex watched and Doctor Owen did the go on thing. Zoe could hear her heart pounding in her ears. She looked away saying this, 'I care about you too Max, A lot..." She looked away, the inner Zoe jumping for joy, "YES YES WE ARE ON OUR WAY COME ON REMAIN CALM BRING IT HOME ZOE SHOOT YOUR SHOT COME ON SHOOT YOUR SHOT! OPEN MOUTH AND SAY WORDS GOT DAM IT SAY WORDS!"
The boy was able to get the next one out, and it was stupid he said, " I like you...more then Dinosaurs." Amy and Rex cringed at that. Doctor Owen thumbed up he thought it was good. Zoe turned redder so she thought it was good. Zoe was red, "...Ditto!" she looked away shocked. Inner Zoe said, " Ditto Ditto! HE JUST I AM THE POST IMPORTANT THING EVER TO HIM AND I SAID DITTO GOT DAM YOU BRAIN YOU HAVE FAILED ME!" Inner Zoe was punching a bag marked brain with boxing gloves marked failure. "STUPID BRAIN STUPID BRAIN STUPID BRAIN! STUPID ME!" Inner Zoe cried throwing around her arms and legs on the floor again, "I WANT TO KISS THE BAKA! I WANT TO KISS THE BAKA WWWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!"
Max was red looking away, "I won't want to spend worlds end...with anyone else but You Zoe..." he managed that out to his shock, to everyone's shock. Rex gave thumbs up. Amy covered face and whispered, "Oh that was smooth... so smooth." Zoe's eyes widened as her brain shut down. Inner Zoe was running around screaming before monitors saying "SYSTEM ERROR SYSTEM CRASH REBOOTING!"
Zoe couldn't think of a reply but said, "...Max..." She blushed and looked away still holding his hands as she shock her head to try and kick start her brain. Inner Zoe was kicking the brain, "WORK DAM YOU WORK!" Inner Zoe cried trying to get the brain to work. Zoe just whispered out, "That's sweet Max." Max was red and looking away, still holding her hand.
that's when something kicked the cave making Snow falls in caving Max and Zoe in, it buried the Dinoholders, They got up in shock. That's when the others saw a running Megaloceros Deer, massive antlers, it was pink and bigger, Right away Amy and Rex summoned Hanah and Ace only for the Deer's antlers to glow Green and suck the health out of the dinosaurs and run off.
Doctor Owen said this, "You two best track the deer, hunt it like cave me did, force it to get stuck on it's ears, I will make torches and try to melt the snow after all Max and Zoe can't dig it out their body heat would melt it to water then they would be wet in the ice's first snow!" he adjusted getting to work to try and free the Duo.
Amy and Rex used the holders for light as they followed this latest Alpha megamamal. Rex said this, " It sucked the health out of us, that's a grass move, It's a grass type, zoe's type! fight form age." Amy nodded, as Doctor owen started making torches to try and melt the snow the deer kicked on it. Inside the cave the duo shivered holding eachother for warmth.
