Chapter 20: Omake 2 Blood Kin
Aela was rushing through the forests of Skyrim heading straight for Whiterun. On her back was a pale boy with fluffy green hair. It was the same boy that charged in to save her and got severely wounded for his troubles. A boy if she was right just escaped from a place that has been torturing him for years. She knew this because in an attempt to save the boy's life, she needed to remove his clothes, and what she saw disgusted her down to her core. The boy had Starburst scars all over his body that appeared to date back years, and there were even fresh ones that were obviously only a day old. not to mention the broken arm that looked like he had to set himself. Which to be honest, it wasn't uncommon for Nordic children to learn which meant this boy had a family and was either kidnapped From them or captured after his family was killed, Either one did not sit well with her.
She was only 10 minutes out from Whiterun now, But she could feel the exhaustion catching up with her, After all, she's been running non-stop for a full day now. Normally this wouldn't be an issue, but Since she was poisoned with Something that was designed to weaken people like her, it Made it easier for exhaustion to grab a hold of her. But she wouldn't stop now especially when she was so close. All she had to do was to get the boy to the hall of healing and he most likely will make it. So she increased her pace even though she knew this would exhaust the rest of her energy. But that didn't matter she knew the guards that usually guard the gate and both of them would not hesitate to take them to the Hall of Healing even if it meant Abandoning their post. And she was right almost immediately as she approached the gate and the guards saw her exhausted state they rushed over to her. It was a good thing too since she would have face-planted into the dirt from exhaustion if it wasn't for them catching her and the boy in time. The rest of the trip was a blur, the only thing that reached her mind was the words of the guards ensuring her that the boy would be okay and the calls for a Healer.
As the voices sounded more and more distant eventually Her mind went dark, but only for a second, and then she woke up in a place that was odd to her. The place had a Victorian-era motif to it with furniture fitting somebody with royal status that matched it. A grandfather clock sat in one corner with hundreds of thousands of hands telling hundreds of different sets of times. There was even a fireplace decorated with gold ornamentation that had a fire made of blue and green in it. Aela could not help but stare into the Flames for a bit. But she was eventually knocked out of it when an entity appeared out of nowhere. All she could make out was its white face set in a permanent smile And its blazing yellow eyes that were now staring into her own. A single glance from those eyes of his made her start to slip back into the arms of unconsciousness. But before she Could, she heard The Entity speak, and the words that came from him she will never forget.
"I would recommend you keep him safe. After all two Worlds are depending on it." The voice says before everything goes black.
Aela woke up with a start, but before she could sit up a strong hand was placed on her chest and then a voice she recognized spoke up. The voice was deep and husky and she knew it well. After all, It belonged to one of her deer shield brothers.
"Easy now don't sit up, the healers told me that you need your rest." The man said which seemed to calm her a bit.
Turning her head to the man She opened her eyes to see a man with long dark black hair, with a 9:00 shadow. He was Decked out in steel armor that had ornaments of wolves decorating it. This was her Shield brother, Vilkas.
"How's the boy, Is he alive?" Aela asked as her voice just came out as a harsh rasp from how dry it was. It was odd to her that her first thoughts were about the boy and not that dream. Wordlessly Vilkas handed her a glass of water as he slowly helped her sit up so she could drink it, then he responded to the question.
"The boy is alive and he's going to make it. But Aela what happened and why was there wolfsbane running through your veins?" Vilkas asked worriedly.
"The fucking silver hands poisoned me with it and ended up capturing me. If it wasn't for the boy the bastards would have violated me." Aela said that after she got her fill of water. Then that dream or Vision came to her mind, She had no idea what it meant and why it was so vivid. Deciding to chalk it up to the poison that was in her system and nothing more than a fever dream she let it go out of her mind. Her thoughts were cut off by the confused voice of Vilkas.
"You can't be serious, that boy saved you, but he's nothing but skin and bones. He doesn't even have an ounce of muscle on his frame. I doubt he could take out a silver hand if he wanted to." Vilkas said confused.
This only caused Aela to narrow her eyes at him which caused him to stiffen. Vilkas knew all too well an angry Aela was a dangerous Aela. But before he could take back his words Aela spoke up.
"I know what I saw, Vilkas. The kid charged in with a broken arm and a sharpened stick and shanked the bastard that was about to rape me. It must have been his first kill too since he froze up after that. He then got kicked into a tree. The bastards then picked him up by his neck and stabbed him in the stomach. And as the bastard was gloating about his victory the boy pulled the blade out of his stomach and slit his throat. While this all was happening I was able to get near the fire and burn my bines off. When I did I grabbed the sword off the man that the boy killed first and snuck up on the third one. The man was about to kill the boy before I intervened by stabbing him in the back. The boy was heavily wounded, but do you know what's worse, the boy was ready to die. I saw his face Vilkas, and once he realized I had escaped the boy looked at peace. It was Like all that mattered was the fact that I escaped. A boy who's been obviously tortured for years and if I'm right just escaped from his captors. A boy who then risked everything to save a stranger. I do not know who that boy is Vilkas but whoever he is he's blood kin now." Aela said shocking Vilkas.
Vilkas could not believe what just came out of her mouth. A boy that she barely knows and she declared the right of blood kin. As companions, they respect and practice all Nordic rights Among many others. To have a companion declare you blood kin is one of the greatest honors that a warrior can get from them. It's pretty much saying that you're now my brother through Blood and War And in this case her son.
"Aela are you sure about this what if he has parents that are still alive?" Vilkas said in a mixture of confusion and shock.
"Then I'll get him to his parents and if I do will be siblings." Aela said seriously.
"And what if you can't, what then?" Vilkas said, Still shocked at her words and now even more so. But his words only made Aela growl at him In a mixture of anger and annoyance.
"I know what I'm doing Vilkas. What, are you saying you're going to challenge my claim." Aela growled out angrily. Vilkas Seeing how angry she was getting and that she was getting the wrong message, he immediately went to correct it.
"No, no, I have no intent to do so And if what you say is true I will support it. I just want to make sure you are absolutely sure about this, that's all." Vilkas says which seems to calm down Aela and after she takes a deep breath she speaks up
"I'm sure about this Vilkas, the boy sacrificed everything to save me From a fate worse than death." Aela said With conviction. Vilkas then let out a long sigh before speaking again.
"Then I'll notify Kodlak of your decision. I will also get the funds needed to make sure the boy gets the best treatment. I want my little brother to be healthy after all. Now get your rest I'll check on you in an hour." Vilkas said Smiling Which Aela Returned. As Vilkas walked out of the building Aela decided to lay back down and get some more sleep. As she drifted to sleep she could not help but wonder who that green hair boy really was and what Destiny held for him. But more importantly, she hoped that she would not have that same unnerving dream again.
3 Months Later
It's been 3 months since Aela took Izuku in, and in those 3 months, she learned a lot. The first thing she learned was that he was from a totally different dimension, This was confirmed by Farengar the court wizard of Whiterun. She did not understand all the jargon that the court wizard said but she understood the gist of it. Apparently, the boy and his clothes were saturated in Mana. The only way for that to happen was if he somehow got into Aetherius, but the problem with that was no mortal could survive such a trip. The amount of Mana in Aetherius would kill anyone who stayed too long there. But Farengar had a theory and it was quite simple, whatever happened to send the boy here dropped him in Aetherius, and then he was pushed out almost instantly. This would explain the fact that he fell from the sky and why his clothes and himself were saturated with Mana.
But when the boy heard this he immediately started to worry. Apparently, he had a mother and he did not want to worry her but unfortunately, he could not do anything about it. He ended up staying in his bed for a whole month and only leaving to eat and use the bathroom and even that was very few times. This bothered her immensely, the healers told her that the boy was nearly mentally broken when she found him. So when he found out that he was in a place far from home with no way to return, damaged him even more. It reminded her of times when a shield brother or sister would lose a member that was close to them they would not have come out of their bed for days due to the depression. And it was why when the boy started doing it she did not mind but now it was starting to worry her. They were blood kin now and she needed to do her job and help him. She started to visit him every day in the hopes of starting up a conversation with him. But they were all one-sided so far. So She just sat there and talked for a couple of minutes and letting him know that somebody was there for him. Eventually she was able to convince him to get out of his bed.
But the boy still looked broken and only had a dead look in his eyes. It took several weeks after that for him to start warming up to the companions and when he did get comfortable in their presence he started asking questions. At first, the questions were simple and easy to answer. Questions like where we are exactly, how their society works stuff like that. But it was when he started asking about quirks is when it started to confuse everybody in the guild. Apparently in his world people are born with special abilities and when she informed him that something like that doesn't exist here it shocked and Confused him. Making his confusion known he surprised her with his next question.
Apparently, the boy heard the silver hands talk about her ability to transform and he was confused about how was that not a quirk. So she decided to explain herself and what they were talking about. But before she did she made him promise not to tell a soul or any other of the companions without her permission and when he promised she started to explain. She explained that she had lycanthropy which is only granted to the Inner Circle of the companions And it's not a quirk since she was not born with it. She went on to explain a little bit more about it, like how Lycanthropes are mortals who have The ability to transform themselves into a large hybrid of humanoid and animal. How Lycanthropy was created by the Daedric Prince Hircine And because of that some lycanthropes view the condition as a gift from Hircine, while others see it as a curse that they wish to rid themselves of.
This caused something that she was not expecting and that was Izuku going into a mumble Spree. This made everybody in the companions stop when they noticed it. Aela could barely understand what he was talking about and that was only because she had enhanced hearing thanks to her being a werewolf. She was pretty sure no one could understand him at all if they didn't have enhanced hearing to begin with. But what she did here made her realize how smart the kid actually was. The kid was coming up with so many questions that even she did not ask herself. He even came up with so many ways for her to use her abilities better which she was definitely going to try. It took 30 minutes for the boy to stop and the boy was quite shocked that no one decided to knock him out of it or scold him for it. Which made everybody in the guild frown at hearing it. Everybody in the guild knew what Aela suspected and this was proof of that.
So in the hopes of making him more comfortable, instead of knocking him out of it, they decided to let him do it Until he finished on his own. This got some of the guys betting on how long he could go since it was obvious that he wasn't breathing when doing it. And slowly and surely the boy became more and more comfortable around them until he eventually decided to go outside. And since he was in there for a month and a half and finally wanted to go out Aela decided to take him around the city. It was quite fun to watch him gawk at the sights, she even took him to the Bannered Mare so they Could get something to drink and eat. where he tried his first Mead where after one mug he was wasted which made her laugh. Although she did promise herself that she would get izuku up to Nord standards when it comes to Mead because there was no way she was raising a milk drinker that's for sure. That single thought stopped her in her tracks as the situation dawned on her. It's only been a short time since she met the kid and already she was seeing him as her own. She knew what she would be expected to do when she announced him as blood kin when he was such a young age. So she was expecting something like this to happen but not so quickly. She guest Vilkas was right about her motherly instincts being more noticeable when she was around the boy. She could not help but smile at that single thought.
But that smile quickly turned to a frown when he started to spill certain aspects of his life due to his drunken state. About him being treated as worthless due to his quirkless status as well as his beatings. But when he started telling her about how he felt so worthless and that maybe they were right. She firmly put her foot down and Straight up told him that, "quirkless did not mean worthless." When she saw the disbelief on his face it made her heart nearly break. She ended up telling him stories of warriors who were able to manage the Impossible and all of them were quirkless. It was at this time that she found out another aspect about the boy and that was he could literally cry a river. It was after he calmed down that they continued talking and where she found out that he was able to make a friend his age. It was a young girl called Lydia who was training to be a house Carl In hopes of serving the Lord of the city.
After that day Izuku started to go out on his own. She made him promise not to go outside the city without her permission since it was dangerous, Which he agreed to. It was quite obvious to her that he spent the rest of the three months walking around the city. Sometimes She caught him late at night gazing at the night sky, or sometimes hanging out with Lydia who eventually approached her with her own worries about him. She ended up explaining to her what she knew and what He told her. Which made the young girl more determined to make Izuku open up more. In fact, it was only recently that Aela decided to start training him which he was surprisingly eager to do. After deciding to start early the next day Izuku went to bed and Aela could not help but Wonder what kind of warrior this boy would become. Then the words of that dream that she had so long ago race to her mind.
"Was that really a dream?" Aela asked herself as she looked at the sleeping form of Izuku. "Or was that a warning for what's to come."
Notes:
The last calls for Dark Shadow's name here is the current list and tallies.
Dark Shadow name list
2 Hikari /the light to the shadow(The kage in fumikage) Plus a reference to the light being shown on her true nature and who she really is
4 Nyx?/ She maybe Greek but she's the embodiment of the night.
2 Keseki/ as she is a miracle as most conjoined twins aren't so lucky.

6 Morrigan,/ a Irish crow goddess who foretold victory, doom, or death in battle. Some translations also call her the phantom queen and she's associated with banshees and it's canon that DS has a ferocious roar and battle cry.
4 Kuyomi/
Short for Tsukuyomi
After the god/goddess ( gender varies) of the moon.
Why?
Well, i think it fits DS, + it can be shortened to Yomi as a nickname like she does with Fumi
1 Nero/ like in black clover
"Felicia
