Q&A
shirkahn chapter 26 . Jul 8
Oh boy. Things are ramping up. Also, a few questions:
1. Where did you get the idea to make Dark Shadow Fumikage's sibling instead of his Quirk?
2. What will happen to One For All? Will it be passed on or die with All Might?
3. Do you have any plans to redeem Tenko?
Anyways, looking forward to the next update.
Answer:
1. To be honest I don't know where I got the idea for Dark Shadow being Fumikage's sibling Exactly. but I think it started when I was watching Star Trek Next Generation, (I think the episode was called The Measure of a Man.) Having data's sentience being questioned made me think of Dark Shadow and if her sentience was ever questioned. then I thought if she had rights in the first place and how would she be treated if she didn't? After that, my thought process just evolved from there.
2. I do have plans for One For All and revealing them would Ruin the surprise.
3. I have no intention of redeeming Tenko.
Omake 4 Bleak Falls Barrow
Izuku stared at the fleeting form of the Dragon or was it a wyvern? Aren't wyverns a-. Izuku quickly shook his head from those thoughts, he did not have time for that. he could debate the differences between wyverns and Dragons later, Right now Helgen was burning. Rushing through the front Gates he noticed that he was too late. Corpses that were Burned to a crisp littered the area. Homes in stores were nearly burned down at this point and the only thing intact was the keep. Izuku knew that Helgens keep expanded Underground thanks to his time here during his first part of his training. He remembered one of the guards saying that it connected to a Cave System leading out of the Keep. He guessed if there were going to be any survivors it would be people who went into the keep.
Wasting no time he did a quick once over of the area, just in case before entering the keep. Entering the barracks part first, he quickly went through the chests. Finding only a couple of gold Septims and some Imperial Armor, he quickly summoned a chest (a conjuration spell that he got during his trip) and stored the armor in it as well as the weapons that were on the rack. He could sell them later for more gold and it was better to grab them now instead of leaving it to scavengers and bandits.
Once he was done he moved on to the next area, Entering he noticed that there was a dead soldier as well as some Stormcloaks. Of course, the Stormcloaks were involved. Izuku had no intention of taking any sides in their War. He could understand why the Stormcloaks were fighting honestly, by the laws of Skyrim Ulfric should have been High King. Not to mention that the Thalmor were manipulative bastards. But the man was shortsighted, does he not know if he did win this war, the Thalmor would just swoop in and take over? If the entirety of the empire's Military could not defeat Thalmors, what hope would a ragtag group of rebels have? Not to mention The Stormcloaks were a bunch of Racist bastards.
Quickly looting the corpses he stored what he wanted and moved on to the next area. A similar state greeted him when he made it into the kitchen / storage area. Doing a quick search of the storage area he found some potions that could be handy later on, if he found anyone wounded. Unfortunately, the rest of the keep was filled with nothing but Corpses and the entrance to the cave system appeared to be blocked. Deciding that he needed to go around he exited Helgen and searched for the cave. It took him a couple of minutes but he found it. Entering the cave he quickly noticed that there were two men severely injured. One imperial Soldier and one Stormcloak. Heading over to the closest one That was injured (which was the Imperial Soldier) he pulled out a health potion. The second he brought it to the man's lips, an earthquake shook the cave and a large piece of rubble fell from the ceiling and crushed the Stormcloak.
Realizing that there was nothing he could do he pored the contents down the Imperial soldier's throat. When the man came to, he introduced himself as Hadvar and thanked him. After he explained what he knew About the attack as well as his theory that the Stormcloaks most likely now had a dragon on their side, which was a terrible thought. Izuku could not imagine the amount of damage they could do. But why hadn't they used it earlier in the war? Why now? Was it because Ulfric was captured? No that couldn't be right. The corpses in the courtyard of Helgen are not just Imperials but Stormcloaks as well. He doubts that somebody like Ulfric would condone an attack like that, Especially when it could have killed him and his men.
He told as much to Hadvar but the man adamantly disagreed. Saying stuff like it was too coincidental among other nonsense. To be honest, he could be right, who knows there could of been somebody who used the Dragon without authorization in an attempt to save their leader. But Izuku didn't really care what he thought. He was entitled to his opinion and Hadvar was a decent guy, especially since he got him a place to stay for the night at his uncle's who even offered him supplies which he took. He was running really low on supplies as well as funds, so he would take what he could get. Heading to the Riverwood Trader so he Could sell what he's scavenged from Hellgen. He overheard Lucan Valerius and Camilla Valerius arguing.
The argument between brother and sister halted once he entered. After izuku finished selling what he wanted he asked what was up. He knew the two from his many trips to Riverwood and if there was a problem he was willing to help. Apparently, some thieves stole there Golden Claw and ran off to Bleak Falls Barrow with it. Alvor (Hadvar's uncle) told him that they needed aid from Whiterun and izuku promised that he would do it. Izuku did not need to be convinced to do it, Especially when people's lives were on the line. So with that in mind, he told the two that he would go get the claw after he went and gotten Aid from Whiterun. This seemed to satisfy the sister who was quite adamant on getting that claw back. So after purchasing a little supplies for his trip he made his way to Whiterun.
On the way there he stumbled upon Aela, along with several other companions and They were fighting a giant. Izuku not one to shy away from a fight, pulled out a bow (that Aela gifted him) and shot an arrow straight into the Giant's eye, stunning it. This gave the opportunity to Farkas to use the flat side of his two-handed Greatsword to smash that Arrow (that was embedded into the Giant's eye,) into its brain killing it.
Izuku ran down to Aela and gave her a quick status update. To say she was shocked was an understatement. But she knew that Izuku would never lie to her especially when there were Lives on the line. So allowing the other companions to clean up and scavenge what they could from the giant's corpse. Aela Followed Izuku all the way to DragonReach. Jarl Balgruuf was quite happy to see Izuku, Balgruuf Was quite fond of the boy since he would visit DragonReach quite often in his youth to learn from Farengar. So seeing him now with the air of a warrior he could not help but have some semblance of Pride for the boy, no, the man in front of him.
Izuku explained what he saw and told of Riverwoods need for Aid. Balgruuf agreed and ordered A contingent of guards to Riverwood. He then told Aela to prep the companions just in case the dragon decided to attack Whiterun. Aela agreed and went to get them ready. When she was gone Balgruuf took Izuku to Farengar so he may help him with his Dragon research. Farengar was quite happy to have Izuku's assistance, as well as some analysis he made on the Dragon. The analysis was quite thorough, which made Farengar salivate of what he could learn. The analysis also had possible strategies and weak points for the guards and warriors of Whiterun to use just in case they fought it. Izuku didn't really get a good look at the Dragon that he saw. but he had seen the hero Ryukyu up close multiple times. Even though she was more similar to an Eastern Dragon than the dragons here, Some tactics and weak points should be similar enough.
Farengar promised that he would spread the information among the guards as well as the companions. But he needed izuku to get a dragon stone tablet that had a list of burial sites for dragons. Izuku could see the value of this information. If they could analyze some Dragon Corpses they could find further weak points on the dragons. Especially since Izuku quickly figured out that the one Dragon he saw was not the only one. And in fact, there were multiple reports all across Skyrim of dragon sightings. So taking the job, izuku made his way to Bleak Falls Barrow to get the dragon stone tablet (as well as the Golden Claw if he can).
Izuku ran all the way to Bleak Falls Barrow and when he got to the entrance he was immediately attacked by a group of Bandits. Without wasting any time or effort he managed to kill all three of them pretty easily. After Scavenging from them and hiding their bodies he moved into The ancient Nordic tomb. When he entered he notice two more bandits huddle around the campfire in front of the stairs that led further down into the tomb. Pulling out his bow he took a shot and was able to hit the first Bandit in the head killing him. The other Bandit took cover forcing izuku to put away his bow so he can move up close and take him out. Once he got close enough the Bandit jumped out of cover and attacked him. Dodging the first swing of the Bandit, he slashes his blade across the bandit's torso, gutting him. When the Bandit fell to his knees Izuku swung around again and decapitated him. Looting the area quickly, he moved down the steps.
The spider web-infested tunnels in the Tomb were dark. The place was only occasionally lit up by the occasional fire pot and torch. As he went deeper into the tomb he heard footsteps. Slowing his pace and crouching low to the ground he approached the next set of stairs as stealthy as possible. He eventually came across a guy with a torch in front of a lever.
Izuku watched as he examined the lever that looked to be connected to the palisade that blocked the rest of the way into the tomb. But when the man pulled it it activated a poison dart trap that instantly killed him. Izuku guessed the poison darts were filled with enough poison to kill several giants. Moving down the steps slowly just in case there was anyone else in the room he entered the area. One of the many lessons that Farengar taught was about the ancient Nords. He remembered When he brought up the topic, on how the ancient Nords built their tombs and their strange fondness for puzzles. This is why he was easily able to solve the puzzles in the room.
So moving deeper into the tomb he was confronted by a pack of skeevers which were easily dispatched by him. After that, he found a spell scroll of the spell Fireball. He knew this would be useful especially since he did not know that spell yet. As he went deeper he noticed a large amount of spider webs starting to clog the area. With his experience this usually meant that there were giant spiders around. Izuku hated spiders with a passion, Even before he came to Skyrim he hated the little things They just grossed him out. Those feelings towards those eight-legged fiends were only heightened once he figured out there were giant spiders in Skyrim.
That's why when he entered the next room after cutting his way through a wall of spider webs (that was blocking the doorway). He was more concerned with the giant ass spider descending from the ceiling, than the screaming Bandit who was stuck in one of its webs. As the spider reached the ground it Immediately lunged at him. Izuku dove back through the doorway (that he just came through) causing the spider to crash into it. Due to its large size it could not fit through the doorway and izuku took advantage of that. So getting a good swing in at the spider he was able to gouge out one of its eyes before it retreated.
Pulling out his bow he started shooting it, as he used the doorway as a buffer to prevent the spider from getting to him. This spider was a lot tougher than izuku thought though, since it just kept taking arrows without dying. Deciding to switch it up he started using the spark spell in hopes of tasering it so he could get up close and finish it off. His tactic worked as the spider convulsed on the ground allowing him to approach and plunge his sword straight into its head killing it. Normally the spark spell was not capable of tasering anyone, but thanks to izuku's knowledge from his world he was able to adjust the spell for it to do that. Which made it Infinitely more useful.
Approaching the panicing Bandit Izuku did not want to deal with the backstabbing that he would most likely do. So he plunged his sword through his chest while he was still tied up. Cutting down his body he searched it, finding the golden claw and a book that talked about it. Apparently, the Golden Claw was a key meant for the puzzle lock door at the end of the Tomb. After doing a quick once over the book he stored both the claw and the book into his satchel, then moved deeper into the tomb. It was then when he started having difficulties, between the mixture of traps and the Draugr that he had to fight, He was starting to get worn down. But despite it all he was able to make it to the end of the tomb where the puzzle door was at. Exhausted, he carefully Followed the instructions that were in the book, so he could opened the door.
Once he did he felt some type of pull. It was odd, it was like something that was calling out to him, a strange pull on his soul. Following it he was brought to a large Stonewall With strange writing written on it. Getting closer it was like the very words were calling to him. Reaching out his hand to touch the words, a bright light rushed forward towards him and engulfed him. It was then that he could read the words but he still couldn't understand their meaning. It was like he recognized the language on an instinctual level but didn't know what the words said.
His thoughts were cut off by the stone coffin behind him bursting open. It was only luck that he was able to dodge out of the way from the coffin lid, that would have hit him. Getting to his feet he was forced to dodge again as a Draugr wielding an ancient Nordic sword (that was just as sharp as the day it was made) Impacted the ground Where he was just a moment ago. It also seemed to have an enchantment since the ground it hit instead of him was slightly frosting over. Looking over he could also see that it had a shield as well. So swinging his sword at its head (in the hopes of ending it quickly) the Draugr raised up his shield and blocked Izuku's attack. It was then that the Draugr did something he didn't expect
"FUS RO DAH!"
Izuku was then thrown off his feet and down the stairs due to the unrelenting force Shout Hitting him. His iron-plated armor dented as he hit the ground at the bottom of the stairs. Pushing past the pain and his exhaustion he quickly got to his feet before he was forced to dodge again. But as he dodged this time he swung his blade slicing the Draugr's shield arm off. But the Draugr was able to get a good hit in, which made a large gash in Izuku's shoulder pauldron before the Draugr was forced to fall back and regroup. Izuku took this time to send a stream of flames at it, which it dodged before charging at him. Izuku ducked out of the way of the next swipe of its sword, It was able to put another gash in his armor. But like before he swung his blade but this time he took off the other Draugr's arm before he spun around and decapitated it.
Taking a knee he attempted to catch his breath. He looked over himself and noticed that there were a couple of scratches and large gashes in his armor that were covered in ice, from the near misses of its attacks. He needed to upgrade to A set of steel plate anyway, his old iron armor was at the end of its life. Plus the iron armor did its job since the only thing damaged was his armor and he wasn't Severely injured. Although he was definitely a little sore from being tossed down the stairs. So getting up with a pained grunt he searched the corpse and found the Dragonstone.
After going through the tomb again but more thoroughly this time, (Which was good because he missed a lot of stuff that he could sell) he exits bleak Falls Barrel through the way he entered. He made his way down the mountain pass to return the Dragon claw to the shopkeeper. The siblings were extremely grateful and were quite generous with his pay. Izuku took this time to ask the shopkeeper if he had any books on enchanting and blacksmithing, which he did. So after buying those books, he made his way to the Inn next door, after renting a room and having a couple of bottles of Nord Mead he went to his room to sleep.
